A/N: that’s so cute~ anonnie! hope all is well with him ^^

Needless to say, you had mixed feelings about high school. You had to suffer through the torture that is 8AM classes and annoying peers, as well as the pressure everybody puts you. But school did have it’s ups– you got to sit near your crush in practically all of your classes.

That’s why the last class of the day was your favourite. You were assigned to sit next to Henry Lau, your crush since sixth grade. Of course, he almost never gave you the time of day, save a few smiles he would send in your direction whenever either of you were late.

So when he said he was going to South Korea to visit some family and friends, you felt devastated. You were going to be alone for three weeks. More alone than usual, that is.

On the third day since Henry’s departure to Korea, Mrs. Anderson told the class that there was going to be a transfer student from South Korea. You payed no heed to the news, as your school received transfers from almost everywhere quite frequently.

Point, aim, shoot! you hummed along to the music blasting through your earphones, lightly bobbing your head along to the beat as you did your socials work. You saw a hand tap your desk and looked up to see Mrs. Anderson. She gestured toward her own ears, and you took the cue to take your earphones out, muttering a quiet apology.

“Okay, class,” she said, walking back to the front of the room, “the transfer is coming today, so I expect each and every one of you to treat him well.” You inwardly sighed, going back to doing your work. The door opened, a loud creaking noise following it. Keeping your head down, you merely listened.

“This is Josh Hong-”

“It’s Joshua actually, Mrs.”

“Sorry, this is Joshua Hong. Just pick a seat.” You smiled to yourself, satisfied with your work. You finished, which meant you didn’t have any homework, which meant you could watch anime or dramas. You jumped slightly when you heard the chair beside you scratch against the floor as it was pulled out.

Your eyes darted to the rest of the class, most of whom had their eyes on the two of you. Why here, you silently drawled, there are like seven other empty seats…

“Hello,” he said. You gave him a forced smile, before ducking your head again. “It’s nice to meet you, I’m Joshua.” I know, you thought, I heard. “Y/N,” you mumbled almost incoherently.

You zoned out as Mrs. Anderson explained the worksheet to the boy, drawing on your arm and hand. Little doodles quickly covered your skin, not that you minded. When most of your arm was completely covered in ink, you looked down at it, proud of your work. You had drawn several pictures, from the Wings of Freedom to ASTRO’s icon. Glancing at your phone, you were happy to see that there were only five minutes left of class.

When someone cleared their throat, you automatically looked over. Joshua gave you a somewhat sheepish smile as he gestured to the worksheet. “Do you– could you–” he flushed under your stare, which in turn made your face go warm. “Could you help me with this?” You glanced down at his sheet. To your surprise, he was already on the last question.

With a partner, discuss why we use the word goodbye today. Write down your thoughts and check your answers using page 57 from the textbook.

Oh god, you cursed silently, he wants me to interact with him. “Why do you think we use it?” You felt tempted to rip your own hair out after hearing how you sounded. You had stumbled over you words. Again.

Joshua tilted his head cutely before shrugging. “Did it originate from a different language?” He asked, not sure at all. You chuckled at his confusion, thinking it was adorable. When he smiled at you, you stopped instantly. You merely shook your head.

Joshua pursed his lips into an almost-pout. How is he a senior?, you questioned. “I’m not sure then,” he laughed almost inaudibly. His voice–

You pulled your chair closer to his to point at his paper. Waiting until he filled in the blank with his guess, you leaned back into your chair. “In the sixteenth century, someone signed off a letter with GOD B W YE, which was short for God Be With Ye. It was read as godbwye and later, goodbye.”

You watched as a look of understanding flashed over his features before he filled the rest out. “Thank you,’ he smiled gently.

You noticed how close the two of you were at that point, quickly pushing your chair back to where it once was. “No problem,” you said, just as the bell rang. You got up to pack your things and headed to the door. Not long after you left, you heard your name being called.

Turning around, you saw Joshua smiling over at you. “Nice drawings,” he called before turning around and disappearing within the crowd.

You felt yourself smile.

The next day, Joshua was there before you. To your surprise, he was still in the same seat as yesterday, despite the vacant seats. He greeted you kindly, to which you responded kind of awkwardly. “So you watch anime?” He asked, although the tone of his voice told you that he already knew. “Mm,” you hummed with a nod.

“What’s your favourite anime?”

“F/A.” Joshua’s smile grew wider as he leaned closer to you. “Who’s your favourite character? Mine’s F/Antagonist.” You looked up with a raised brow. “Same,” you said with a shocked voice; not many people liked F/A as well.

That continued for the next two weeks: the two of you conversing over anime and over time, K-Pop, which you had found a mutual liking.

You finally had a friend.

“Y/N!” Joshua yelped as you poked his sides. You laughed at his expression, “I didn’t know you were ticklish.” He narrowed his eyes at you, his hands up as a form of defense. With a wicked grin, you pounced at him, your hands shooting to your sides. It didn’t take long for him to burst out into laughter, his melodious laughter filling the almost-empty classroom.

You noticed Mrs. Anderson laughing under her breath at your antics, but brushed it off. After a while, you decided to spare the boy and stopped prodding at his stomach. It took a minute or two for him to calm down, but when he did he weakly glared at you with tears in his eyes. “You’re cruel.”

“You love it.”

His cheeks were red, you weren’t sure if it was from laughing so hard or what you had said. He murmured something, but it was far too quiet for you to hear. You furrowed your brows together at his sudden shyness. Did you go too far with that comment? You examined his expression. His eyes were still lined with tears, and his cheeks were a lot redder than usual. Unknowingly, your eyes landed on his lips, God did they look soft, and stayed there. You wondered what it would be like to kiss–

Before you could say anything, the bell rang, telling you that break was over. You groaned, resting you head on Joshua’s shoulder. “People,” you huffed. He chuckled, rustling your hair. The two of you stayed like that as your classmates began to pool into your classroom, despite your heart that was beating way too fast for your liking.

Absentmindedly, you began to fiddle with his hands. You like them, he had soft skin, despite the callouses. “Y/N?” You snapped out of your reverie when you heard your name being called by a familiar voice. To your surprise, Henry stood at your desk, glancing between you and Joshua, an unreadable expression on his face.

You had completely forgotten he was coming back today– you barely thought of him during the past two weeks in fact. “Ah,” you blinked, “how was Korea?” He gave you an obviously forced smile. “Fine– who’s-”

“Henry, just pick a seat,” Mrs. Anderson said, noticing that he was the only one standing up. Huffing, Henry sat at the desk behind yours. “Who’s he?” Joshua whispered, not wanting him to hear. “Henry,” you answered simply. “He was on vacation.” You thought it was odd, just now he had spoken more words to you than he ever has.

You shrugged, turning your attention to Mrs. Anderson, not noticing your hands, which were still linked with Joshua’s.

You yawned, stretching your arms above your head. You and Joshua had stayed at the public library, which was open 24/7 luckily, for a project. Checking your phone, your eyes widened when you saw the time, 01:28 AM. Chucking your phone into your bag, you turned to Joshua.

You stopped when you saw him. He had fallen asleep, when you had no idea. His head was resting on his arms and you couldn’t help but think how adorable he looked.

You stared at him, mesmerized by his soft expression. His eyelashes were long and he had fair skin. His round glasses – which definitely would’ve looked dorky on anyone else – were askew. Slowly, you took them off so they wouldn’t break. You froze when he groaned, his arm wrapping around your waist. Internally panicking, you tried to move away, only to fail when he pulled you closer, almost onto his lap.

You face felt hot, as you were centimetres away from his face. Your thoughts wandered to that day in the classroom. When you first thought about kissing him. You bit your lip nervously. He was, quite literally, right in front of you. You found yourself leaning closer and closer.

You pulled back quickly, realizing what you had just done. Before you could properly react, his other hand moved to your cheek, his lips chasing yours. Your lips met again, this time with slow passion. You slowly pulled away, eyes staying closed for a moment. When you opened them, you were met with Joshua’s lidded, brown eyes.

“Next time you want to kiss me,” he said, his voice hushed, “do it while I’m awake.” You bit your lip nervously, “next time?”

His eyes bore into yours intensely, a small smile present on his features. “After that, there’s no way I’m not kissing you again.”

Ever just stop and think of all the potential Naruto had as an anime? Like the art, characters, and setting are really strong and unique, but the lackluster writing and poor treatment of those characters (especially the women) just water down the whole show. The best thing Naruto still has going for it, is that there are no pantie flashes.

I think about this all the time. If you’re ever sitting there saying to yourself “I wonder what thatshinobilife is thinking about right now” there’s a 50% chance it’s this and a 50% chance its me appreciating how much Return of the King deserved all it’s oscar wins at the 76th Academy Awards.

Honestly Part 1 of Naruto actually still holds up in retrospect - It’s mostly part 2 that went off the deep end. I think a lot of the things that happened later in the series weren’t planned in the beginning (which is fair, its hard to plan 15 years in advance) and it really showed. It got so popular there was pressure to keep it going past its expiration date. If some one were to go back now and rewrite the whole thing while keeping all the main plot points in tact I think it would turn out a lot better. Certain moments could be rewritten or scraped completely, scenes could be added to buffer various character arcs, the flow could be much better, etc etc. Like, I know I complain a lot of about Naruto on this blog but it’s because it’s an important series to me and I care about the characters so much. I wish they had gotten the respect they deserved.

I see you like Patrick Rothfuss and his books. Well, let me tell you about a little show called Critical Role. Dungeons&Dragons livestream every Thursday. There are three badass women who play badass woman characters. Also four men. Four of these people are couples, and super adorable. There's LGBT+ representation. I think all but one of the characters are openly not-straight. They're all voice actors that you've heard in videos games and anime like Attack On Titan, Soul Eater, Teen Titans,(P.1)

(p.2) The Last of Us, Overwatch and more. The players are so dedicated to being honest and making real decisions, and the storytelling is unreal. Sometimes they have guests, and Patrick Rothfuss was one on SEVERAL of the recent episodes and a few of the earlier. So yeah. Critical Role.

I will be honest friend, I understood exactly 1 of those references and it was Teen Titans… I know nothing about anything else you said so I apologize for being uncultured lol. HOWEVER, this sounds cool on a surface level! And hey, my man Rothfuss is just the coolest so I automatically like this concept.

Lost Interest In AOT and Deep Interest In KS

It feels like since Erwin Smith was killed that I had completely lost interest in Attack on Titan, but not only did his death made me lose interest in the anime/manga series, but the story became predictable.
I’m mostly like, “Oh, this character is going to die.”
“Oh, they’re going to fail this mission, presumably train to become stronger, and then go back and succeed.”
“Some bad ‘plot twist’ is going to happen.”
And look Eren has a few years left to live due to being a Titan shifter.
We all know in a way that either Armin alone, or maybe his friends, or probably all of his friends is going to see the sea.
I haven’t lost interest in a series since Portgas D. Ace’s death in One Piece.
Both AoT and One Piece only taught us about friendship, but are not relatable as Killing Stalking.

With Killing Stalking it is like you are on the edge of your seat. With each chapter that contains Yoon Bum in a life or death situation I always thought he was actually going to die, but he doesn’t, traumatized and physically wounded.
Some of these characters are relatable. For instance Ji-Eun (RIP) is relatable to that beautiful naiive girl, who is in love with that handsome young man, but finds out he is not what he seems. Who gets what she wants and quite cruel at times because she never told ‘no’ and was never mistreated.
Yoon Bum is relatable in a way because some of us were that shy outcast kid in school. We wanted to be noticed and loved, we have family issues, yes, some worse then others. We are in love with people, either it is a celebrity or not, we cyber stalk them as well.
Sangwoo came from a really abusive household and suffers from the Oedipus Complex and God Complex. He takes advantage of his looks (like maybe more or less than half of good looking men in the world) to seduce women, into fulfilling his needs. Either ignorant or fighting against his growing feelings for Bum.

Killing Stalking, by far, has taken over AOT’s place in fame. The more secrets that are revealed in AOT, the more pathetic the story is (at least to me).
Yes, I haven’t posted anything KS related in awhile since shortly after Season 1 ended, but to me, the series is deeply moving, much more then Attack on Titan. I hope to continued the KS series to the very end.

@sleepyaridette Yes, it is! It’s full title is Marginal #4: Kiss Kara Tsukuru Big Bang, which is another idol boys anime based from an otome game. This anime features 3 units and surprise! The main one is called Marginal #4 xD

Below’s a pic of them. They look absolutely adorable, ain’t they? //shot//

You see the orange haired boy on the right? Well, let me share a fun fact here and tell you that he shares the same voice as Watanuki Sakuya.

Which means we get to hear Sakuya’s singing through this boi

Anyway, this show is really light-hearted (just like most animes of the same genre), but the characters are quite interesting, the animation is pretty good, and the songs are incredibly catchy!

It’s still on-going, but if you wanna watch something with light comedies and some cute boys, I totally recommend Marginal #4! :D

I'm still screaming Leiiiiiiii! Shinsou!!!

Me too.

You know what else I’m excited about.

I mean, clearly, Shinsou is a popular character despite him appearing in maybe like less than 20 chapters, because he ranked in both popularity polls…. so I don’t think it’s unbelievable to believe he’d be popular with the anime watchers too?

Fanon Lotor be like

i am not even sorry just take this

God, Yuri on Ice is just something special. It means so fucking much to me that it exists. And I think it means something for all of us. It has given us all something special, something that makes this show so unique.

For some of us, maybe its just an OTP being canon. For others, its a symbolism that queer people shouldn’t need to hide, or be ashamed of being queer, or believe that they are nothing but a fetish that can be baited but never expanded on. Yuri on Ice brought so fucking much to the table. I would never, in a million years, think I would see a gay marriage proposal in anime. Not even in yaoi. Hell, shit like Junjou Romantica have two characters date for 4 FUCKING YEARS and not get engaged, and then Yuri on Ice comes along, and does it in 8 MONTHS. That is literally game changing.

Yuuri’s anxiety resonates with me, and even J.J, an asshole, someone deemed perfect, brought tears to my eyes, because surprise surprise, he isn’t always perfect, and he can make mistakes and fall under pressure too. Victor, someone also deemed perfect, isn’t. He has insecurities too, unlike so many “hawt anime bishies.”

Another thing is that they let ALL 3 main characters, who are male, cry. And not just “pretty aesthetic crying” Yuuri actually looks UGLY when he cries, and after he cries? He feels better. It’s not made to be something you should be ashamed of, it helps him relieve his feelings.

Another cool thing is the gender neutral femininity. Yuuri’s eros costume, and how he feels he can’t be a playboy, and accepts that and goes for his own strengths. He isn’t pressured into being someone he can’t, he takes his own steps to transform his program into his own. Yuri’s femininity as well, and how he’s also able to become his own person out of destroying his past self and rebuilding his style to something that works well for him, while being able to kick J.J for being a dick about his femininity and calling him a girl. That kick is important, because it shows that he’s angry at being called a girl because surprise surprise, you don’t have to be a girl to be feminine and for the show to potray J.J as being an asshole for making that statement is amazing.

The side characters were diverse, even having an american who is NOT WHITE for once, and I’d never even HEARD of Kazakhstan before this anime aired. They didn’t resort to country stereotypes either (shocking) or whitewashing phichit or some of the other foreign skaters.

And oH MY GOD THERE’S ACTUAL FEMALE CHARACTERS THAT MEAN SOMETHING. Nor did they treat them as one-dimensional “yaoi shipping, moe blob, innocent virgins” No, they smoked (Mari) and drank (Minako) and talked about past relationships (Mila). Sara broke away from her brother and pursued her own relationships, while Georgi’s old girlfriend found someone better than him that she actually cared about. Hell, even Yuri not dating the same person he met as a child when he was 24 was great BECAUSE THAT’S SO FUCKING UNREALISTIC AND IT HAPPENS SO OFTEN IN ANIME. Not only that, but just because she wasn’t able to return Yuuri’s past feelings, doesn’t means she stops being Yuuri’s friend and is discarded. The amount of female characters in anime that is aimed at women is abysmal. It assumes that all we care about is abs, when in reality thats 10% of it. I can’t remember a SINGLE FEMALE in Love Stage, Sekai ichi Hatsukoi, or Junjou Romantica, and Free! literally has a walking stereotype to boast as the single female (other than a teacher I barely remember)

For me personally? It’s all of these things, and more. The amount of meaning this has given to me is incomprehensible. God, I’m emotional, but I just had to make this post after going through my old posts from episode 7, and seeing just how many people this affected

Oikawa is quite honestly one of the saddest characters in Haikyuu and you can fucking fight me on this alright, This boy tried SO HARD, he literally worked his knee into a brace, he was on the edge of collapsing, he didn’t go to fucking sleep, and he was so so smart, he was so good at being a setter, he could have won he was always on the brink of winning and still he didn’t get to go to Nationals, not even once.

Why is no one taking about this clip? Here you see yet another a guy who defeats gender roles. You can tell bc “usually” guys don’t have pink lacy curtains and pink phone cases and cute pastel picture frames (I’m talking about stereotypically. As I am a guy who has these things) THIS MAKES ME SO HAPPY BC YOU DON’T REALLY NOTICE AT FIRST BC ITS SO SUBTLE BUT OMGGG. Plz love him he’s gr8. His room looks like the room of a female protagonist in a shoujo anime but he’s a male side character in a sports anime and I’m shook. Bless this anime.

 • Friend: Hey why do you like that character so much?
 • Me: Are you sure you're ready for this kind of conversation
 • me: i'll just watch the 1st episode and if i like it i can watch it over the break
 • *2 days later*
 • me: *has finished all the seasons, watched all the fan edits, read all the fanfics, made a fanpage, filled up camera roll with screen shots, constantly ranting about the show, knows every character's mother's maiden name*

Can we just take a moment to appreciate this Crunchyroll admin:

They’re so nice

and polite,

but also savage as hell

and sarcastic.

They don’t stoop to these people’s levels

and act maturely.

They’re just really polite, positive, and kind

and this makes me so incredibly happy.

 • Friend: i don't get why yoi is so hype is it because there are two pretty boys -
 • Me: it's hype because the struggles that characters have are parallels with our personal troubles
 • Friend:
 • Me: it's hype because it's encouraging it's telling us that we don't need to change to overcome our worst enemies

I am a ROLEPLAY WHORE in general.

- SHIP WHORE: May it be platonic, romantic or hate ship, I’m definitely up for it. I want realistic relationships for my muses–people who challenge their beliefs and character–and it doesn’t just limit to romance. Specifically, I like ships that contribute to my muse’s character development and my partner’s muse’s development, too.

- PLOT WHORE: I have a lot of plots I want to write (you can see all them in my RP goals tag.) I’m very flexible with them, however, I do have some limits. If an idea makes me feel comfortable, I’d let you know, though. From canon plots down to anime-based plots and the likes. I’d be down with Werewolf / Vampire, Biblical, Apocalypse, Supernatural, you name it, and etc.

- ANGST WHORE: I love angst. I’m a sucker for it. I live for it. It could be cute angst, dark angst, adventurous angst, or anything mixed with angst. I love to make my muses suffer and throw them into compromising situations. It’s a key to development.

- DEVELOPMENT WHORE: I’m very okay with pre-established relationships and fast-paced relationships, however, I want development to come with it. I want something to change for my muses; I want them to grow. They’re my babies, and as the mun, I want them to mature and change for the better . . . or worse.

- THREAD WHORE: One thread is never enough for me. If I have one thread with you, chances are, I’ll want more. (May it be with the same pair of muses, or another set of muses.) I believe that it just doesn’t take one event/encounter to make our muse’s relationships and characters flourish. IC asks are also included in the thread. I tend to send asks related to the event/encounter of our characters

- ASK / MEMES WHORE: Once I get comfortable with you OOC, I tend to send a lot of them. Although sometimes, I’m very hesitant to send them, lest I’d annoy you. If it irritates you, though, please let me know.

 •
Person: what is your obsession with gay ships and lgbt+ community in general? Like its pretty weird how you make such a big deal when there is a cannon gay couple or character in a book or movie.
Me: well, I'm just really happy that it's becoming normal for them ya know. Also all we ever read about and see are heterosexual relationships and people, I like variety. Like I've read so many straight love stories and I like that it's getting changed up.
Me on the inside: lol it's cuz I'm hella gay.
