Photo tips – Choose the right photo gear
To shoot a split surface underwater photo you need to have a very big lens port (the thing covering your lens on the underwater camera housing). Preferebly you shoot with a fish eye lens around 15 mm and a lens port looking like half a bowl. That way you can much easier split the surface. I use gear from @aquatech_imagingsolutions which I find to be the best gear for my kind of work.
With this photo I won the PX3 Prix de la Photographie, Paris 2015 – Gold medal in the category Nature, Underwater with the photo Two worlds.
The “Prix de la Photographie, Paris” (Px3) strives to promote the appreciation of photography, to discover emerging talent, and to introduce photographers from around the world to the artistic community of Paris.
