Holy shit Andrew MacWilliam!

Before the game, my dad was aimlessly channel surfing and he was on channel 53 for a few moments. It was showing NCAA hockey highlights between UND and Minnesota last night. I told my dad to go back but he didn’t.

So I checked out what the final score was and Leafs prospect and Junior player Andrew MacWilliam got his first NCAA goal! He has the reputation for being one of the hardest hitting players in the NCAA. The last goal he scored was in the AJHL four years ago.

MacWilliam was drafted in the 7th round, 188th overall in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft by the Toronto Maple Leafs. He played three years for the AJHC’s Camrose Kodiaks prior to being drafted.

Also, caught up in the deadline mix, the Leafs signed Andrew MacWilliam to an ELC.

He was the final Leafs pick in the 2008 Draft. A senior from UND, he is a defensive defenseman standing 6'2 and 220 pounds.

Admittedly I don’t know a lot about him other than random stats the internet has provided but I do know we need more defensemen like this so hopefully he can bring his game to the NHL level.
