A stunning photo of #AbiquaFalls, 17 miles southeast of Silverton. The falls sit in a basaltic amphitheater with moss and lichen of all different shades making for some of the most unique and beautiful scenery in western Oregon. The territory sits on privately owned land but the owners are gracious enough to allow visitors into the area so I would encourage any sightseers to be extra respectful to the property. A beautiful photo of the #UmpquaHotSprings, 63 miles east of Roseburg. The springs are a geothermal pool located along the #NorthUmpquaRiver at 2,640 feet elevation. Two oval pools are available for soaking, the larger having a solid rock bottom and the smaller a bottom of coarse sand. The larger is five by eight feet and 110 °F, and is covered by a wooden enclosure. The upper pool is smaller but slightly warmer, measuring four by five feet and 112 °F. Both pools are approximately two and a half feet deep. Umpqua is clothing optional. Thanks for sharing @freshoffthegrid! #CommunityFirst

A beautiful photo of the #HistoricColumbiaRiverHighway, approximately 75-mile-long between Troutdale and The Dalles. Built through the #ColumbiaRiverGorge between 1913 and 1922, it is the first planned scenic roadway in the United States, it has been recognized in numerous ways, including a listing on the National Register of Historic Places as a National Historic Landmark, designation as a National Historic Civil Engineering Landmark by the American Society of Civil Engineers, and considered a “destination unto itself” as an All-American Road by the U.S. Secretary of Transportation. The historic roadway was bypassed by the present Columbia River Highway No. 2 (Interstate 84) from the 1930s to the 1950s, leaving behind the old two-lane road.
