Finchel Week 2017, Day 7: Alternate Ending ↳ In which Finn didn’t actually die and returns a couple of years later to get Rachel back after being in a witness protection program/ having suffered memory loss/ going on a secret mission with the US army/ [insert other/better scenario😆 ]
“You might belong in Hufflepuff, where they are just and loyal. Those patient Hufflepuffs are true, and unafraid of toil… Or yet in wise old Ravenclaw, if you’ve a ready mind. Where those of wit and learning, will always find their kind.”
Can’t use my right hand, so I drew something using my left hand. The paper sucks for both, ink and oil pastels, so… well… But it’s the only paper large enough to not totally fuck up drawing with my weak hand because I totally lack like years of practice and my hand won’t do what I want it to do - larger paper helps with the lacking motoric skills. And after colouring with the dark ink it got curly due to the water. hmpf. Can’t scan it either to get rid of the waves, it’s even bigger than A3.
But whatever, it’s better than drawing nothing at all. Even if it’s wonky af.
"All you have to do is write one true sentence. Write the truest sentence that you know.”
"Write what should not be forgotten."
"Write without pay until somebody offers to pay."
"Remember: when people tell you something’s wrong or doesn’t work for them, they are almost always right. When they tell you exactly what they think is wrong and how to fix it, they are almost always wrong."
"It's a great lesson about not being too precious about your writing. You have to try your hardest to be at the top of your game and improve every joke you can until the last possible second, and then you have to let it go. You can't be that kid standing at the top of the waterslide, overthinking it...You have to let people see what you wrote."
"It's okay to write crap. Just don't try publishing while it's still crap."
"You can only write by putting words on paper one at a time."
"When in doubt, have a man come through the door with a gun in his hand."
"Writing isn't about making money, getting famous, getting dates, getting laid, or making friends. In the end it's about enriching the lives of those who will read your work, and enriching your own life as well. It's about getting up, getting well, and getting over. Getting happy, okay? Getting happy. ...this book...is a permission slip: you can, you should, and if you're brave enough to start, you will. Writing is magic, as much the water of life as any other creative art. The water is free. So drink.Drink and be filled up."
I think it's crap we still have no real motive for the dollhouse. Like last night Lucas reveal gave us nothing. Because for all we know it wasn't even Charlotte he was talking to. How could someone in Radley keep in touch for years through email.
