Yoongi gives you an offer you can’t refuse

This idea was loosely based on this vine. I just really wanted a daddy Yoongi story :)

Also, i’m sure this title is used all the time but it was too perfect. This is my first Yoongi fic so let me know what you think.

{Playlist} Parts: one | two | three | four | five | six

You had just gotten to back from class to your duplex. You lived in a very nice part of town for almost a year now. It was strange, even after ten months you were still getting used to all this. You’d come from a pretty wealthy family, but when you decided that you were going to go to school for dance and not to medical school your parents cut you off.

Heeey! Can you do a reaction about jealous BTS?

Sure thing! I’m gonna make it a “reaction to BTS’s girlfriends getting hit on” I’m so excited about these requests I’m getting from y’all  ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) I hope you like it!!

BTS: Reaction to their girlfriends getting hit on~Jealousy

♥ Jin: He thought today was the perfect day. No practice, no performing, just a beautiful day with his girlfriend whom he loved so much. You were all dressed up for him. He adored how beautiful you were, and he thought that he’d want to show you off to the world! That is, until people started looking. He heard the talking and he wasn’t gonna stand for that.

“(Y/n), let’s just go home. We’ll order to go.” Jin was clenching his fists and frowning. You looked in his eyes and giggled.

“Jinnie, I didn’t get ready for nothing. Plus, I haven’t been on an actual date with you in forever.” You gave him a pout he couldn’t resist. He took in a deep breath and sighed heavily.

“Whatever you say, beautiful girlfriend of mine.” He said loudly, causing the whole crowd to look at you.

♥ Yoongi: You needed to go shopping today, and your boyfriend who preferred sleep over shopping, decided to go with you. Why? Because he knew just how beautiful you were. He knew damn well other guys looked at you and tried to talk to you. He wouldn’t stand for it.

“Yoongi, I need underwear.” You stopped in front of Victoria’s Secret.

“No way, I’m not going in there.” He said while crossing his arms. He loved to see what you buy and what you wear for him, but he felt embarrassed about going in such a place.

“Fine, wait here.” You were a little gloomy about him not coming in with you. You walked in, and Yoongi heard boys talking next to him.

“Wow what a hottie. Let’s go get her.”

Yoongi quickly walked in after you. No wAy was he letting some other boy come close to you. He hugged you from behind, watching as your hands shifted through lingerie.

“Yoongi?” You tilted your head back to look at him. “You ok?”

“You’re never leaving the house again, that’s final.”

♥ Namjoon: You recently posted a picture of yourself on Instagram. It was a picture that made you feel confident. Not revealing, but Namjoon saw the end of the world when he thought of the comments that you would receive for being so cute. And shit was he right. He stalked that picture of yours (screen shotting it and setting it as his lock screen, of course). Suddenly, a comment popped up, saying “DM me.” He got heated and yelled at you in the kitchen from the living room.

“(Y/N)!!” He set his phone down and huffed heavily. You ran in, thinking something was wrong. Spatula in hand, and cute frilly apron on. His eyes grew soft when he saw you, and his voice got gentle. “Don’t listen to him. Don’t listen to boys. Look at me and only me. Delete your Instagram!” He pouted the cutest pout in the world. You loved his jealousy, it made you feel secure.

“Who are you talking about Namjoon?” You wondered what got him all started up.

“That boy… He commented on your picture…” He mumbled.

♥ Hoseok: His girlfriend was a model. (Y/n) was stunning, and she was the most beautiful girl in his eyes. He never thought he’d have an issue with jealousy, until he saw other male models and singers go after her. He kept quiet about it for a while, because he trusted you. And he did the right thing to trust you. You turned down any man that tried to talk to you because you were loyal to Hobi, and he was grateful for that.

But when you got the lead part of a drama, and you were told you had a kiss scene, he lost his shit. He stood in front of the guy you’d be kissing, giving all the attitude he contained.

“That’s my princess. If your filthy lips touch hers I’ll make sure you’re never able to kiss anyone again.” He said with no hesitation.

♥ Jimin: He angrily watched as his best friends hands touched all over his girls body. Why was this happening? It was all for show. For the MV they were working on. The producers thought it would be fun if (Y/n) ended up with someone that wasn’t her actual boyfriend, and oh boy did Jimin hate it. He’s never wanted to strangle Taehyung so badly. He knew it wasn’t his fault but he couldn’t help the way he felt.

When the scene was over, you walked over to Jimin with a smile. “Are you ok? You look really mad…” You couldn’t stop smiling because you knew he was jealous, and it was super cute to you.

“Ok? Ok?!” He spoke in his accent, a turn on for you. “I don’t like this. (Y/n), you’re not gonna be in the MV anymore. We’ll get another girl to play the part.” He watched for your reaction with intense, dangerous eyes that wouldn’t allow you to reject.

♥ Taehyung: He knew it was just work. Taehyung has been dealing with this crap for over 2 years now and he reached his peek. He came to meetings with you even if he was busy, because he knew there was a man with hungry eyes, watching your every move.

Taehyung was very calm when it came to his jealousy. He was very afraid to lose you though. As he sat with you in your meeting, he eyed the man shamelessly, embarrassing you a little. You asked him to stop but he’d just brush you off. When the meeting was over, you grabbed Tae’s cheeks and kissed him gently.

“Do you think I’d go for a jerk like that. Look at me, I love YOU TaeTae.” You smiled gently. He licked his lips nervously and looked down, biting his lip gently after.

“I hope so…”

♥ Jungkook: Jungkook knew his jealousy was getting the best of him, but he couldn’t help but take it out on you. Your ex from many years back decided to text you to ask you out on a coffee date to catch up. “How does he have your number?”

“Jungkookie, I haven’t changed my number since I was 14, of course he still has it.” You whined softly. You were on the brink of tears. “He texted me Kookie, don’t be mad at me. I didn’t even text him back…”

Jungkook heavily sighed and clenched his fists. He held his hand out. “Phone.” He demanded, and you gave it to him. He started furiously typing away, telling that boy off. He handed it back to you and tried to stay calm. “If he replies, block him.”

Okay okay but get this.. . ... insecure Lance with vitiligo I cannot believe this isn't already a thing give me my beautiful space son who's fLipping out because the foundation he had on him leaving earth isn't going to last forever and he really really doesn't want the team to know about anything that will make him different and mark him as a freak like everyone has always said

AHHHH I literally screamed when I saw this.

Thank you <3

I sorta went a different way with this. Sorry!

“Stop. It. You can’t cry right now.” Lance inhaled as much oxygen as he could before his lungs hitched and he coughed it out.

“If you cry the foundation will wear off. So knock it off.” Lance ran his shaking hands through his hair. He didn’t know if he was talking to vent or help himself but he wish he would stop babbling like some teenage girl.

Lance sat down on the edge of the bathtub glaring at the water. Shiro told them to wash up, but how could he wash away the only thing that is keeping him normal. Lance wanted to take a bath he really did. He wanted to try out the Altean soaps and face masks. He wanted to treat himself™ just like he would at the Garrison. Maybe Allura has some makeup, we have similar skin tones. Lance stood up and marched out of his room, he needed to find the princess.

-

“Princess?” Lance hesitantly knocked on her bedroom door.

“Yes Lance? Why aren’t you out of armor yet? Shiro told you to wash up.” Allura stood up from her where she was perched on her bed.

“I kn-know. But I have a question for you.” Lance hugged his body, praying his sweat didn’t ruin the foundation anymore than what it was.

“Well what is it?” Allura gestured for Lance to enter her room and he awkwardly stood in the middle of it while she sat on the edge of her bed.

“Do Alteans have makeup?” Lance’s voice was so small it made him feel 5.

“Makeup? Well of course!” Allura jumped up from her seat. “We have a lot of different kinds.” She smiled at him, hoping to relieve his stiff posture.

“Do you have foundation to match my skin tone.” Lance gestured to his face.

Allura stood up and placed her hand on his face, pretending she didn’t feel him flinch. “I think we do, mine might not work since it was made especially for me however,” Allura grabbed a small scanner off her desk and made her way back over to the boy, “this scanner will give us the number and type we need to match your skin perfectly.”

She gently grabbed his hand and placed his finger under the scanner. It flashed a purple light for a few seconds before it beeped green and produced a small chip.

Allura grabbed the chip “Now I’ll put this in a machine and it will have it made by the time you are done cleaning up.”

Lance released a breath he didn’t even know he was holding. “Can I get it sooner?”

“Why do you need it so soon?” Allura chuckled a little bit.

“I just need it that’s all.” Lance said a bit quietly, too quiet for Alluras liking.

“Once it’s done I’ll drop it off at your room. Okay?” Allura gently said.

“Okay.”

“Now go clean up.” And Lance left.

-

Lance sunk down into the tub, letting the water surround him. He slowly submerged himself completely under water and let his mind wander.

Ugly, Freak, Weirdo, Whats wrong with your face?

Lance could still hear the kids voices like they said them yesterday. He could still remember the snickers he heard behind his back. He could remember how teachers would look at him sympathetically. He could still feel the shoves from the kids when he asked to play with them. He remembered crying to his mama asking why this happened to him. He remembered his sister teaching him how to do makeup and attempting too help his confidence. Sadly he was only confident with 3 different layers of makeup plastered on his face and arms.

Lance rose his head from the water and touched his face and smeared the makeup off his face. He drained the water, stood up, turned on the shower and started scrubbing his arms and face.

What would the team think? He wasn’t normal. He was a freak.

He watched the water drain down, taking the brown makeup with it. After the water cleared he turned of the shower and dried off.

Lance put on his pants and started to sort through the different Altean supplies. He found something that resembled lavender and started to apply it to his face. He attempted not to stare at the different color patches that scattered his face. He moved down to his arms, where it only started happening a year prior. He dropped the container when he saw a small patch forming on his stomach.

“Fuck.” Lance leaned over the sink, not even trying to stop his tears.

“Why, why, why.” Lance grabbed his hair. He was about to get back into the tub when Allura knocked on his bathroom door.

“Lance! It’s done~” Allura seem to sing.

“Ca-Can you ju-just leave it out-outside my door?” Lance nearly punched himself for his voice cracking.

“Are you alright Lance?” Allura asked, curiosity and concern plaguing her voice.

“Yes.”

“No you’re, not….I hope you’re decent because I’m coming in.” Before Lance could react the bathroom door was opening and he was face to face with Allura who was holding a bottle.

Allura opened and closed her mouth and Lance grabbed a towel and wrapped his torso up in it, happy that he was wearing pants.

After a few moments of unbearable silence Lance bit out “Go on laugh, I don’t care. Just leave the bottle and go.”

“Lance.” Allura gently grabbed the towel  from Lance and brought his face closer. “I would never laugh a you for something like this.” She opened the bottle and put a few drops of the liquid on Lances face and started to rub it in.

Lance stared at Allura as she continued to apply the makeup on Lance. “What?” She asked.

“Why are you being so nice?” Lance mumbled out.

“Why wouldn’t I be nice? You can’t help this,” she gestured towards his arms. “Plus this doesn’t changed anything about you. I’ll even keep it a secret from the team if you need.”

Lance started crying again and Allura hugged him. She gently ran her fingers through his hair.

Lance hugged her back. “Do you think the team will judge me?”

“They would never.” Allura softly said.

“Should I tell them?”

“Only if you want.”

“Will you help me?”

“Of course. Now lets get you ready for dinner.”

Lance smiled and started to distract himself from the voices of the kids that echoed in his mind.

Happy Ending! I think?

Thank you for this!!

“Flat out” - h.s. Part 5

Part 1 / Part 2 / Part 3 / Part 4

—–

—–

You were tired and emotionally drained for what felt like the entire next week. With no classes to go to, and a job not available to you, you found yourself in the flat far more in one week than you felt you’d been there in the past month. You didn’t wear pants, drank a lot of hot cocoa, and caught up on way too much Netflix for things to be healthy.

Harry helped you clear everything from your bed – all your notes and textbooks and notebooks and extra papers and quizzes you’d kept to study just in case. He spent three days carefully organizing all of it on your desk and putting papers into folders and putting different textbooks all in order alphabetically.

You knew he was only doing it because he wanted to be near you to watch out for you without suffocating you or asking you if you were okay. You were just exhausted, and even when you walked – which was usually at a purposeful and quick speed that even Harry had to jog to keep up with from time to time – had slowly significantly to a languid and purposeless stroll.

So you allowed him to do his little organizing, stopping every once in a while to read a paper, or flip through the marked and worn pages of your textbooks. It occurred to him the ridiculous and meticulous amount of work you’d put into knowing every little thing, and he wondered if maybe it had just gotten to the point where you’d just started memorizing your textbooks. He couldn’t remember a time he’d ever worked this hard in his life. Sure, memorizing scripts or writing songs was difficult, but he always had others to back him up. And you were on your own. Your entire education was on your shoulders.

Piano

Draco took a deep, shaky breath, hoping that Harry wouldn’t notice how nervous he was. He had been struggling with crowds since the war, and the combination of meeting the Weasley’s and the huge amount of people at King’s Cross station made him anxious as hell.

Hundreds of people walked, ran, waited or strolled around the main hall. In the distance he could already see the little coffee shop where the entire Weasley family sat, waiting to go to platform 9¾. The entire corner seemed to have a red glow due to all the ginger haired people gathered in it.

“Dad! I need to go to the bathroom!” Whined Lily.

“Just follow the signs sweetheart, it’s over there I believe.” And Harry pointed at the far end of the hall.

“But what if I get lost? Mom always walks with me…” Lily pouted.

Draco rolled with his eyes and suppressed a smile. The girl was a Slytherin for one hundred percent. Ginny never accompanied her to the lavatory since she wanted Lily to be more independent, and rightly so since she was eleven years old already.

Harry however, always melted for his daughter’s sad pout and cute face and Lily made good use of that.

“Sorry honey, duty calls.” Harry pressed a quick kiss on his lips. Merlin, he would never get used to that feeling. Draco was a complete sucker for Harry’s quick, domestic yet loving kisses. Before he knew it he’d agreed to walk James, Albus and Scorpius to the Weasley’s all by himself while Harry left with Lily.

His eyes drifted to the coffee stand again. There had to be at least twenty five Weasley’s present, even Charlie who didn’t even have kids was there.

“Well then, let’s greet the family.” The family that will be seeing me today for the first time since they heard Harry and I are dating. Draco shuddered at the thought.

Scorpius grabbed his hand and squeezed it. “You’ll be alright dad.”

Sometimes Draco hated that he couldn’t hide behind his mask anymore. It turned out fatherly love, or any kind of love really, destroyed your ability to wear it.

He squeezed his son’s hand back. “Of course Scor. Nothing to worry about.” And he began to make his way through the crowd with three children in tow.

As soon as he came within twenty yards of the coffee stand he knew he couldn’t do it. Ron, George, Percy, Charlie and Bill were huddled together on the side, and judging by the looks they shot at him he was in for a serious talk. A serious “mess with Harry and we’ll murder you” talk.

Draco thanked the heavens when Albus asked “Why is there a piano in the middle of the station?” He pointed at the grand piano standing next to the coffee stand.

“It’s there so people can play it.” Answered an elderly lady who’d overheard his question. “Do you play?”

“No…” Albus shot a sad look at the piano. It was currently being abused by a four year old who seemed to be banging the keys without any real purpose.

“Dad plays!” Said Scorpius enthusiastic. “He’s really good as well. Do you want him to play for you?” Albus’ face lit up, and he cast a hopeful glance at Draco.

“Would you?”

“Of course.” Said Draco for the second time that day, though this time he actually meant it. Anything better than joining the twenty five Weasley’s at the stand, five of whom looked ready to flay him alive.

Albus beamed at him, and took off towards the piano with James and Scorpius. By the time Draco reached it they had cleared the stage for him. The father of the four year old seemed happy enough to pull his kid away from the instrument.

“Can you play something fast?” Asked James. “I don’t like those slow depressing bits.” And he pulled a disgusted face.

“No problem. Fast is my favorite.” Even more so now that the Weasley firing squad was approaching the piano. If he played something soft they might try and talk to him despite the music.

Draco sat down, cracked his fingers for an extra dramatic effect, and began to play.

He started fast, loud and with closed eyes. His fingers danced over the keys and soon enough he had to bite his bottom lip to suppress a smile.

Oh, if his father could see him now…

He remembered vividly how angry Lucius had been when he found out his son, his only son, was playing a muggle instrument.

How happy he had been when he found an old, dusty piano in and abandoned classroom at Hogwarts. The hours he’d spent trying to find tuning spells in the library….

And then, of course, the time his aunt Bellatrix had caught him playing, resulting in a punishment that had nearly turned him into Frank or Alice Longbottom. How even after that he hadn’t quit because how could he give up the only thing that enabled him to make something instead of break it?

He opened his eyes to see a small but growing crowd standing around him, a crowd that was there because of something he voluntarily chose to do. A crowd of people who didn’t know him or his past, but just enjoyed the notes flowing from his blood stained hands.

But the blood had dried up a long time ago, and for the first time Draco fully realised that. He was aware that to these people he was not an ex-death eater or even a Slytherin, but just him. A guy with some talent for playing the piano, who tried to brighten other people’s day a bit by producing a colourful tune.

He quite liked being ‘just him’.

Someone standing behind him brushed a lock of hair from his face. A hand squeezed his shoulder. “I had no idea you could play like this.” Whispered Harry in his ear.

The line almost caused Draco to slip. He was a sucker for Harry’s whispered words as well.

The Weasley’s who had gathered around the piano as well looked baffled when Draco bent his head backwards to kiss his boyfriend. “I still have some secrets left in my closet, after all there’s a lot of room there since my sexuality came out.”

Harry laughed. Merlin he had the greatest laugh.

The man wrapped his arms around Draco as the last tunes from the piano died away. “That was nearly as beautiful as you are. And I’m sorry for abandoning you, I forgot the entire family was coming.”

“Well.” Whispered Draco in Harry’s ear as the crowd burst out in applause. “I think I’ve managed to survive these five minutes without the saviour at my side.”

And after a brief pause he added; “Of course, you still have to make it up to me later, but we have until Christmas for that.”

Harry turned bright red, but still pulled Draco a little closer as they walked towards the others. Draco couldn’t suppress the smile on his face this time. Even the judgemental glances of the Weasley’s couldn’t make him do that.

“Other dad, can you teach me how to play the piano?” Albus nearly bounced out of enthusiasm. Draco nearly did too, this was the first time Harry’s youngest son, the one who had struggled the most with the divorce, had called him dad.

“Of course, other son.” Draco shot a hesitant look at Harry, he didn’t know if his comment was out of line or not. But it wasn’t.

“Congratulations, other dad.” Harry kissed him. “Looks like you’re stuck with us now.”

Somehow Draco found that he didn’t mind being stuck with Harry and his kids.

Not one bit.

Slowly the train started pulling out of the station, taking Lily, Albus, James and Scorpius with it. Draco missed them already.

“Even after everything we’ve been through, it’s still worth it don’t you think? Life?” Harry was blinking against his tears. The departure of even his youngest kid weighed heavy on him, but at least he wouldn’t be returning to an empty house.

“Yeah.” Sighed Draco. “They make it worth it.” And he nodded at the train. James was still hanging from the window, waving at them. “They and you.”

Ron, George, Percy, Charlie and Bill watched as Harry kissed Draco again. Draco pulled Harry close, and together they watched the train disappear out of sight.

It looked like Draco didn’t need that talk.

So I imagined Draco playing Beethoven “Moonlight” Sonata op 27 # 2 Mov 3 but that doesn’t have to be your music for this of course. If you know any other piano music that might fit please tell me I love piano music!

I don’t know if public piano’s are a thing everywhere but here in Holland and in GB they are. It’s basicly a piano where passe by’s can play on to make waiting more fun.

Also I have never been to King’s cross and I don’t even know if that station has a main hall, but  it’s fanfiction, so I don’t feel the need to be geographically accurate, sorry

I smirked as my heels clicked on the concrete in the halls of the arena. Seeing that I wasn’t scheduled to fight tonight but instead I had a promo with Dean and Roman, my outfit had to be perfect. My heels made me feel a little bit more superior than my fellow wrestlers and the whistle that just left Finn’s mouth made me giggle in delight.

As I stood in the gorilla waiting for my cue, I checked my reflection once more and smiled as I saw how well my dress hugged every curve on my body. My music pulled my attention away from the mirror and I walked out the curtain to an audience chanting my name.

The Smuggler

Note: Ben Solo, the most notorious smuggler in the Galaxy, has taken a liking to you. But with his profession of choice, you fear that he hides his true self in favour of a ‘bad boy’ persona. But one night, he shows up at your bedroom window, trying to prove to you how genuine he can be.

“Get out of my way,” you said through gritted teeth as you tried to stroll through the market.

“I just want to talk Y/N,” Ben called after you.

You stopped in your tracks, Ben quickly stepping to the side before he crashed into you.

You sighed, “How many times are you going to pretend to just ‘run in to me’ at the market, Solo?”

“As many times as it takes for you to talk to me,” He smirked.

“We’re talking now, aren’t we?” You asked blankly, “Besides, surely the Ben Solo has somewhere better to be.”

“Can’t think of anywhere better than right here,” he shrugged, “And you brushing me off hardly counts as talking.”

You frowned. It’s not that you didn’t like Ben. You just didn’t agree with what he did for a living.

“Ah, there’s the look.”

“What look?”

“The one you make when you want to talk to me, but then you remember I’m a smuggler.”

“That’s not a real expression,” you replied flatly, “Now get out out of my way, smuggler. I have things to do today, and engaging with your pathetic attempts to charm me isn’t exactly a priority.”

“Well hang on just a minute, sweetheart–

“Don’t you 'sweetheart’ me,” you scoffed, shoving by him. You cursed as you heard his footsteps following you eagerly.

You tried to ignore his presence behind you, turning your attention to the market stall and eyeing the rows of bouquets of flowers lined up. One in particular caught your eye. You were about to pick it up when you felt Ben’s hand grip your wrist gently. You turned around with a scowl, “Let go.“

“I will, sweetheart,” He flashed you a grin as you rolled your eyes, “But only if you tell me what it will take for this pathetic smuggler to ever gain your affection,” he asked you, his hand reaching up to stroke your cheek gently.

This is the part you hated. Despite everything you had against his chosen profession, you couldn’t deny that Ben Solo was a relentless flirt. And a fantastic one at that.

“I’ll take that smile on your face as a good thing.”

You quickly frowned at his words, shying away from his touch, “You want advice? Try being genuine for once.”

Ben raised his eyebrow, “You think I’m misleading you somehow?”

“I’m sure you can’t be 'Ben Solo: infamous smuggler, ladies’ man and bad boy’ all the time,” you started, “I want to meet the real you.”

“This is the real me,” you could see him getting frustrated now.

“I think you know exactly what I mean… but hey, if you don’t, I’m sure there are plenty of other women in this market you could try and win over,” you told him as you marched off.

“There’s only you, Y/N,” Ben sighed as he watched you walk off, “Only you.”

Three nights later, as you were getting ready to sleep, you heard a knock at your bedroom window. You jumped at the unexpected noise, but curiosity got the better of you as you glanced towards it.

You frowned at the sight as you walked over to open it slightly, “How in the galaxy do you know my address?”

“I asked around about someone called Y/N… gave them an accurate description: beautiful, confident–”

“Alright enough,” you stopped him before he could get carried away, “How did you really find out where I live? This city is enormous!”

“Oh my sweet Y/N, your city is a village compared to some of the other planets I operate in. I just got in touch with a few of my connections, and it took all of five minutes to get your address– I don’t mean to alarm you,” he added as he watched your expression change.

You scowled, “I’m not alarmed, I just have half a mind to push you off this damn ledge.”

“Well before you decide to kill me, let me explain,” Ben said as he gestured for you to open the window fully, his amused expression never faltering. “It’s the least you could do before making me fall to my death.”

You groaned, “Fine. Get in– But if anyone knocks on my door you’re going right out the way you came.”

“Sounds fair, sweetheart,” He said cheerfully as he landed with a low thud.

You glared at him and he gave you a sheepish grin.

“So tell me,” You circled him, “What could I have possibly done to deserve Ben Solo knocking at my bedroom window?“ You asked him mockingly, “And at this ridiculous hour too,” you added with a huff.

“I think we both know you’re enjoying this,” He teased, stepping towards you.

You put a firm hand on his chest to stop him from getting any closer. Had he seriously not listened to anything you said to him during your last encounter? “You said you were going to explain all this. I’m waiting.”

He nodded, “Right, of course. Well, do you remember what you told me at the market a few days ago?”

“I believe I told you a great deal of things that day, you’ll have to be more specific.”

“About being genuine.”

“So is this… I mean are you… being genuine right now?” You went to sit on your bed as you watched him stay put, "Because I’m not sure which version I prefer. The Ben Solo who follows me around the market, or the one who comes knocking at my bedroom window in the middle of the night.”

Ben let out an amused huff. How was it that even while mocking him, he still thought you were the most beautiful person in the entire Galaxy?

“Look, Y/N,” He started, shuffling slightly, “I wanted to bring you a something… Try and be a little ‘genuine’, as you put it.”

Your confusion was quickly met with pleasant surprise as Ben produced a bouquet of flowers from his satchel.

“D-daisies and peonies?… How did you know these are my favourite?” You asked happily as he handed you the flowers, saying a quick thank you as he did so.

“I went back to that stall and asked the merchant which ones you had been looking at. He was confused about who I was talking about at first, until I told him I was buying them for his most beautiful customer.“

There it was again. The word he seemed to love using towards you. “Y- You really think I’m beautiful?”

"Well yes… and clearly the merchant thought so too. He’s the one who told me which flowers you liked, after all.”

"I’m pretty sure I’m that man’s only customer these days,” you laughed, “It’s like one buys flowers in this city anymore.”

“Well now he has two customers,” Ben chuckled, “Just me and you…”

You smiled as you heard his confident tone shy slightly while he spoke.

“Why do you try so hard to impress me?” You couldn’t help but ask, “I-I mean…You can have anyone you want… so why me?”

“Because I can’t get you out of my head, Y/N” Ben said as he stepped forward, “You’re sweet, and by far the most intelligent person I’ve ever met,” he said softly as he put a strand of your hair behind your ear.

“And you’re the only person to ever call me out on being too invested in this whole smuggler image,” he laughed, “You’re not like the other women, Y/N. The ones who agree with every little thing I say, and certainly not like the ones who force themselves on me,” he chuckled again, “So you want to see the real me? Well, here I am. Ben Solo. Just a regular man who can’t stop falling for someone way too good for him.”

“Well this Ben Solo I can see myself falling right back for,” you smiled, grateful that he was showing you the sweeter side of himself.

He grinned, “I would very much like for you to see me as much more than the smuggler you think I am.” He added, “And I want you to see how happy I could make you… you know, the 'real’ me.”

“I think I would like that,” you smiled, “Perhaps there’s still hope for you yet,” You said as you kissed his cheek softly.

With your lips so close to his in that moment, Ben quickly stole a kiss from your lips before looking at you with a gleam in his eye. You were taken aback by his action, trying to hide your growing smile, but it was no use. You couldn’t possibly be mad at him in this moment.

“I will endeavour to be my true self with you, Y/N. But you’ll have more fun kissing the smuggler, promise.”

“I think I can make that one exception then,” you beamed, pressing your lips to his again.

Bound To Happen (Part 5), Lin-Manuel Miranda x Reader

Prompt: The chronicles of being Lin’s assistant to maybe something more.

Words: 1,686

Author’s Note: Yes, I know the Tony Awards are in the middle of June but I needed to make this scene possible and this is how it worked. Whoops. This makes up for my lack of a Valentine’s Day fic, right? Right?

Warnings: As always, a slow burn. Things are happening in this one, though.

“Today’s the day.” Lin stormed past you, stride confident and determined.

“Good morning.” You offered, trailing after him.

Today’s the day.” He repeated, stopping in his tracks just as he made it center stage. He glanced around for a moment, taking in the thing he had created. He looked at you, his eyes shining with something you only momentarily saw on stage.

“Today’s the day.” You confirmed, noticing a majority of the cast had collected onto the stage as well. Tommy Kail was striding from his office with a group of producers in tow.

There was more money among his little posse than you would ever see.

Tommy’s face was wet and soon everyone else’s were as well. He held up a crumpled sheet of paper.

“Is that it?”

“Straight from the office.” Tommy told him, just as Lin snatched it away. The yellow color of the pages signified the importance.

Lin scanned over the page, thumb brushing over each word.

“Thirteen.” He sighed, “Thirteen Tony nominations.” He watched as the cast erupted in cheers, embracing and laughing and standing in disbelief because this wasn’t something that happened everyday to people like them.

The producers were sharking hands and offering congratulations, and Lin swept you into his arms before he could stop himself. The stack of papers you had organized in your hands were on the floor in a pile, but you didn’t move to collect them.

Suddenly the entire team was around you, but all you saw was Lin grinning down at you, repeating ‘Today is the day’ in a hushed voice, as if this day was just for the two of you to share.

“Who are you using your extra ticket on?” Mandy asked conversationally, fingers running through your hair. Eyes were on you - the person who trailed after Lin and didn’t seem to do much else. There was no talk of boyfriends or girlfriends or any friends outside of the theater.

You smiled at the idea of having a secret identity away from these people who tried and failed to pry information from you. Maybe you fought crime - or committed them?

“Nobody. Considering selling it on E-Bay.” You shrugged, knowing that your joke could easily be a reality and make your rent payment a little smoother.

“And your dress?” She pushed further.

“I have the one from opening night.”

The women in the room gasped and you suddenly wished you hadn’t taken Lin up on that break he offered you. Mandy’s fingers tugged a little harder on your hair.

“You are not wearing that dress again, didn’t you say it was your Senior Prom dress?” Karen’s eyes were bearing into your soul, it felt like.

You didn’t answer - which was an answer enough for them.

“We are getting you a new dress and a date.”

The dress was an easy choice - something satin and pale in color that looked oddly similar to your prom dress but with a heftier price tag.

The date was another thing entirely. Within the month before the awards, you had shuffled through a handful of guys - and one girl - from Mandy and Karen’s black books. None appealed to you in the right way and eventually you were starting to lose hope.

Not just hope that you would find the right person to attend the event with - the hope that you would find the right person in general.

As the day rolled closer and the dates began to stop, you found yourself dreading the awards night more than anything else. You would be all dolled up in a room full of important people with amazing partners alone.

You decided five minutes before you were supposed to leave for the pre-party that you weren’t going. You left a hurried voicemail on Mandy’s machine, something about the snow and a headache and every single excuse you could make in the span of a minute.

Dressed in your gown and with pristine makeup that took a little longer than you were proud to admit - you drank a warm beer on your couch with Sesame Street paying in the background.

The snow was falling lightly outside and you could only imagine how warm the club the cast was currently in could be. Drinks and laughter and love were probably filling the air and you could spit at the idea.

“Remember we’re on a Broadway budget here - not too many drinks, please?” Tommy called to the group as another round was ordered. There was already a buzz and they hadn’t even walked the carpet yet.

“It’s a celebration!”

“Where’s Y/N?” Chris asked, eyes darting over the crowd the club provided.

“She’s not coming. Something about the snow and a headache and life in general.” Mandy was one drink in, stirring her cocktail with a tiny straw. “I called her six times but no answer - I don’t think there’s any getting through to her.”

“She’s not coming?” Lin asked, dumbstruck. Mandy nodded. “Is this about the date thing?”

Nobody spoke, all waiting for Lin to do exactly what he should.

“Okay. Guys, grab your coats. Ladies, order another round on me.” Lin fished in his pocket and slammed a bill on the bar, tossing back the final sip on his drink. “We’ll meet you at the theater.”

“Where are you going?” Karen called after his retreating form, the gaggle of men following his determined steps.

“I’m gonna kill her.”

You were halfway finished with your beer, rummaging through your pantry for an opened box of Girl Scout cookies you swore were still in there when you heard a thud.

You paused for a moment, waiting for another sound.

Thuds echoed through your entire apartment, and you nearly tripped over the length of your gown trying to find the source.

The sounds led you to the window of your living room - the visual of snow pelting the glass signaled someone trying to grab your attention. You worked the bottom of the window, shoving it open and having to dodge a snowball in the process.

The buzzer was broken - of course the buzzer was broken. Lin groaned as he retreated from the steps of your apartment building.

“Dude, where is your jacket?” Alex asked Chris, who was standing shivering in the snow.

“On my wife.”

“Why does your wife have your jacket?” Questioned Tommy.

“Sometimes you have to give up your jacket and develop hypothermia for the people you love.”

“Buzzer’s broken.” Lin sighed. “She’s not answering her phone either.”

“Looks like we’re breaking in.” Andy shrugged, already taking a step towards the door. A hand on his chest stopped him.

“We are not breaking in.” Lin pushed him back to the group, “I got this.” Lin pivoted back to your building, shouting your name at the top of his lungs.

“Don’t forget we have to perform today.” Chris chided him, hand on his shoulder.

Lin surrendered his yelling and instead found himself packing snow into his hands, wailing it at your illuminated window. The rest of the guys watched as his attempted throws narrowly missed and decided to help him out.

Soon, all four men were chucking hastily made snowballs at your apartment as their cab driver sat and watched, the toll slowly ticking higher and higher.

“What the hell are you doing?” You shouted down to the group of giggling men.

“Get down here!” Lin shouted back, quite a bit louder. “Come on!” The rest of the guys joined him.

You succeeded, slamming your window shut and slipping on the shoes you had perched by your front door. They crunched the snow as you descended the steps of your apartment building onto the empty street.

Lin’s coat was immediately wrapped around your shoulders.

“What are you doing here, you guys should all be on your way to the awards.” You shoved his chest gently.

The other guys stood in the back, making it rather obvious they were watching closely. They shared looks, each wondering is this going to be the night?

“Not without you.” Was Lin’s immediate answer. “It wouldn’t be right. You’ve been with me longer than any of these assholes.” His thumb jerked back to the guys, “You deserve this night more than any of us do.”

“Lin, I’m not in the mood for this right now.”

“Y/N-”

“You guys should go enjoy your night and I’ll see you all tomorrow.”

“You don’t understand-” Lin stopped himself, the wild rush of adrenaline he had been feeling on the drive over coming to a sudden halt as he took you in. “You look amazing.”

For the first time that night, you smiled.

“I’ll be your date tonight.” He insisted, gloved hands holding yours as you clenched them in the cold. “This is a night of celebration and happiness and the only way I can do that is with you standing next to me.”

You considered this for a moment, before looking over Lin’s shoulder at his merry little gang.

“Hey, guys.”

They all called back equal responses. Lin held out his arm to you and you couldn’t find it in yourself to turn away. You linked your arm in his as your friends climbed back in the cab, mumbling words on how happy there were you would be joining them.

“I’m sorry you did all this for me, on your big night.” You whispered to Lin.

“None of that.” He told you, arm squeezing a bit tighter, “You’re gonna have to sit on somebody’s lap.”

You piled into the car, your half finished beer long forgotten on your kitchen counter. Lin, as he was in your everyday life, was right by your side the entire night. You watched as he accepted a Tony Award and pointed at you from the stage, rhyming your name expertly in a perfect couplet.

Your lousy dates and prom dress was in the very back of your mind, and at the forefront was Lin. Not just the Lin who was making his dreams come true that night, but the Lin from all those years ago who had a dream and decided to bring you along for the ride.

let's talk about Ursa for a minute

I’ve heard a lot of people blame Ursa for the emotional damage inflicted on Azula. And while I agree that how Ursa treated Azula had a negative effect on the way she turned out, it’s unfair to all characters involved to look at their relationship in a vacuum. The Royal Family is very complex, and it’s important to consider the context before assigning blame for Azula’s situation.

So, it had been three years since the destruction of The Shield and the infamous trio were now back together and once again being pushed as the strongest faction of the decade against Triple H’s new innovation of Evolution (although it was The Shield holding nearly all the gold) and pretty much the whole wrestling world was happy - except for me.

Since you had become the Women’s champion creative had decided that to really finish The Shields whole ‘we have all the gold’ facade they needed the Women’s champion as basically their Valet, who occasionally faced off with the ‘new’, more like rip off Evolution’s token bitch Alexa Bliss - which honestly you didn’t mind, in all fairness it rocketed your popularity sky high and obtained you some good matches and a hell of a lot of credit from other wrestlers. But the worst thing about the entire situation was travelling with one particular ‘lunatic’ of The Shield.

You could never quite place my finger on it but there was something about that man that for one, drove you crazy and made you want him in your bed then, there was the other half that was repulsed by his attitude and wanted to be as far away from him as humanly possible. However, you knew that those feelings of sexual tension would never be reciprocated by him. You were pretty sure the guy hated your guts, you were also pretty sure he had used every excuse under the sun not to be near you at any given time. Roman and Seth often tried to convince you that he was just ‘difficult’ and didn’t really hate you - but that was often hard to believe when he’d sigh or roll his eyes at you when you simply coughed.

It was one horrible and shitty, stormy night in Portland, Oregon and you and Dean (of course being the last to arrive because he wanted to stop four times) found ourselves talking to the hotel receptionist who sounded far too happy to be informing yourself and Dean that there’s only one single bedroom available. You both rolled your eyes at each other, he even had the audacity to claim it was your fault you were late. It was a minute or so of hard stares before accepting that neither of you were going to travel to the next town over a 3:20 am. You sighed and satirically thanked the annoyingly preppy and over enthusiastic Beatrice, as you turned to face Dean. You gave the unbearable man one last eye roll before snatching your bags off the floor and trudging towards the elevator with his heavy boots clunking along the floor following suit behind you.

You flung open the door to the rather, for once, not too seedy looking hotel room. Your eyes were instantly drawn to the decently sized bed in the centre of the hotel room, you huffed remembering that both of you and Dean were too stubborn to sleep somewhere else meaning that ultimately you were going to have to share. You let the heavy bags fall off of your shoulders and onto the floor; not really caring where or how the landed as fatigue suddenly hit you upon seeing the comfy looking bed. You lazily reached down into your bag and retrieved my night time clothes before half signaling to that ignorant bastard you was going to change.

The minute you came out of the small, yet seemingly lavish bathroom you cast your gaze upon the lunatic fringe, in just his boxers sprawled out across the whole bed already fast asleep. My top lip curled in annoyance as you snarled, climbing into the small space on the bed and trying to shove his muscly frame over to make some sort of room. You growled when he wouldn’t budge hardly an inch and flopped yourself down pretty much on his whole arm.

“Argh fuck” he groaned sliding his arm out from underneath you, you giggled slightly in an almost evil manner. “You little bitch” he said a playful tone; something that surprised you. Usually, he’d have said it with a lot more meaning and hatred lacing his gruff voice.

“You were taking up the whole fucking bed and wouldn’t move, you literally weigh a tonne when you sleep” you murmured back to him snuggling down into the warm sheets, a comforting sensation as the rain lashed the windows of the high building. He rolled over so he was facing you before chuckling and mumbling an incoherent sentence that you couldn’t even read from his lips in the barely illuminated room - the moon providing the only light in the whole room, yet even that was barely a soft glow. You just shook your head at him; those rare feelings of fondness swelling in your heart. Just as you were about to roll away from the Lunatic you heard him faintly whisper something, yet this time it was a lot clearer. “I’m in love with you, Y/N. You sat up in confusion as you began to repeat those six words over and over in your head, like some sort of mantra. Maybe it was just his lethargic state producing false and irrelevant mumbles…or maybe it really was the truth. You shook the thoughts from your head and turned over to sleep, once again burying yourself back into the soft sheets. Yet throughout the night you struggled to get a fully beneficial sleep as those words just played on your mind like some stupid repetitive song that you just couldn’t banish from your memory.

After last nights sleeping arrangement and Dean’s slip of words; which you discovered he clearly remembered nothing about it, the car ride to the arena over was somewhat awkward - well for you at least. About halfway through the journey you were tired of Dean’s complaining, Seth’s emo playlist and Roman’s severe case of road rage so you plugged you earphones in to ignore the rowdy bunch, but it didn’t help much as it surrounded you with you own thoughts which still continued to dwell on Dean’s words. At some point during the journey you could feel yourself drifting off into a light sleep, the rhythm of the road lulling you into a peaceful sleep; one where you could still sense your surroundings. Your head came to rest on Dean’s broad chest to which he didn’t resist, he simply let you stay there even letting his arm drape around your frame. You smiled to yourself almost unnoticeably just as you felt yourself slipping into a heavier slumber.

You were gently shaken awake by Roman, the ‘dad’ of the three of you as you arrived at the arena. Your eyes fluttered open adjusting to the bright sunshine as you now saw Dean sat in the driver’s seat, you stretched out your limbs as they cracked one by one.

“Hey doll, we have like an hour til the match” Roman spoke as Dean and Seth began grabbing luggage bags from the trunk. You stretched your arms and nodded lethargically, slowly making your way from the all too comfortable back seat. You reached to grab your bag only to see that Dean had already got it and was halfway across the car park, you shrugged and felt your heart swell slightly at the gesture that probably meant nothing more to him than a favour (despite his sleep induced mumbles). You grabbed the various jackets that were left in the trunk before joining Dean and Seth leaving Roman to lock up the rental.

It was now just five minutes before your tag match with Dean against Kevin Owens and Alexa and you and Dean were sitting with Roman and Seth in the gorilla position just chatting as you usually would. Yet once again that annoying arrogance that Dean carried around with him when it came to you reared its ugly head; at every given moment he was talking over every word you said, with a sick smirk etched on his face. Both Roman and Seth could sense how much it was pissing you off, yet gave you a small nod as you kept your cool and simply prepared for your entrance.

Throughout the whole match, your focus was off and Alexa Bliss was beating the absolute shit of you; you just couldn’t distract your mind from those words that Dean had spoken to you. No matter how hard you tried, those stupid words were just glued to the forefront of your mind. Oh and the small factor that for the whole match Dean made it his sole purpose to try and distract you and in fact along with his unnecessary distractions those thoughts nearly cost you the match and definitely would’ve if you hadn’t managed to scramble to your corner and tag an extremely smug look Dean who hit Owens with two Dirty Deeds to obtain the pin.

You walked through the curtains back to the gorilla to where Roman and Seth were still seated in the same place as you had left them fifteen minutes ago.

“Well done you two” Seth spoke standing from the crate and pulling you and Dean into a hug, Roman nodded from his position on a chair and stood to give you both pats on the backs.

“Hey, you three up for drinks at the hotel bar”” Dean questioned wiggling his eyebrows at the three of you as he changed into a new vest and slung his jacket over his shoulder. Both Roman and Seth shook their heads, Dean shot them both a confused look as you shrugged your shoulders in some sort of agreement to his proposal.

“Sorry man, gotta skype the wife and kids” Roman spoke as the four of you began to walk towards the parking lot. Dean nodded as a notion of understanding and slapped his brother back.

“Ah fair enough brother, family first ‘n all that, what’s your reasoning Rollins?” Dean question his gruff voice echoed through the bare parking area as a raised a very much comedic looking eyebrow at the Architect. Seth rolled his eyes at Dean as you and Roman began (once again) loading the bags into the trunk.

“If you must know Ambrose I’m a little preoccupied with some stuff tonight” Seth shrugged as a light blush appeared on his cheeks even under the dimly lit parking lot. You looked over at him and a small bubble of laughter escaped your lips as Dean looked confused as ever before what Seth was implying finally dawned upon him. His top lip curled in disgust.

“Ugh yeah don’t want to hear anything about that thanks very much” he grunted getting in the back passenger seat next to you. “Just me and you for drinks the doll face” he winked, you inwardly rolled your eyes as displeasure racked your body. Yet you were secretly desperate to be alone with him again; even if had been an utter asshole all night.

“Sure thing, when we get to the hotel I go get change then I’ll meet you down there” you smiled at the man who you honestly believed had more mood swings (well regarding you) than any pregnant woman in the world. He just nodded a sly; almost shy looking smile etching his way onto your face - the sight caused your heart to warm in a way that you just hated but couldn’t stop.

As we arrived at the seedy hotel; which somehow seemed a great deal more aesthetically pleasing in the dark of the night, you grabbed yours and Dean’s bags (knowing he’d head straight to the bar) and took them up to the hotel room so you could change into something a little sexier than workout leggings and a Dolph Ziggler top.

You pulled out a pair of skin tight black skinny jeans along with an olive top that had one of those cute lace up corset-like fronts from your suitcase; you knew the top would definitely show off your cleavage a little to much but you just shrugged and threw the clothes onto the bed and went to retrieve your favourite pair of Louboutin boot heels.

As you stood in front of the full-length mirror in the only luxury part of your hotel room; the bathroom, you gave yourself one last check over and touched up your eye makeup and smoothed the material of both your top and jeans before giving your reflection and a curt nod. You swiped your phone and purse off the nightstand and made your way down to the hotel bar.

Your eyes scanned the dimly lit bar rapidly, trying to spot the shaggy-haired man, that you had such a love-hate relationship with. Your eyes lit up a little as you saw him at the bar already nursing a drink probably a jack and coke you thought to yourself as you walked towards where Ambrose was perched.

“Hey Dean” you smiled as you sat on the empty seat next to him; he returned the smile, something which shocked me but I brushed it off just as I noticed his eyes flicker down to my well pronounced cleavage.

“I got you a drink” he spoke, his voice already sounding grittier as a result of the harsh liquor. You nodded in thanks and took a sip of the drink, a grin crossed your lips as you tasted the familiar coconut flavour of Malibu.

“Oh my god, you remembered my favourite drink” you giggled as you downed pretty much the whole thing before placing the drink on the bar and wiping your mouth. I noticed him signal the barman for another round “You tryna get me drunk or something” you nudged his shoulder lightly. He playfully rolled his eyes at your comment.

“Hey, of course I remembered your favourite drink I’m an amazing friend, what can I say? Also, I’m not trying to get you drunk but, ya know what’s a celebration without being at least a little woozy” he announced as he ordered yet more alcohol from the bartender.

“Friend huh? Ya know, I’ve always thought ya hated me” you shrugged taking a rather large gulp of your new Malibu and coke.

“Nah I just do it to piss ya off, ya cute when ya pissed off” he shrugged, offering you a shot of whatever liquor he had just order, you gingerly took the shot from his hand as your mind once again began to race a million miles an hour at his words. You necked the shot and sighed at the almost soothing burn as the liquid travelled down your throat, you shuddered and brushed the thoughts away putting it down to the ‘dutch courage’ he’d gained.

As the night went on more and more shots were ordered and consumed, yet you both only remained slightly drunk; you opted for the term ‘tipsy’. You checked your phone and saw the time. You nudged Dean’s shoulder, “Oh my god, it’s so late you!” you exclaimed as you lazily shoved your phone in his face.

“Sure is Darlin’” he smiled swigging the rest of his drink, “We can go back to the hotel now if you’d like” he hopped off the bar stool and offered you his hand. You gladly accepted his offer but grimaced as you stood on your feet, suddenly remembering the pain these shoes put you in. You pouted up at him as a small wince left your lips.

“Carry me?” you asked quizzically with another pout of your lips. He raised an eyebrow at you before leaning down, allowing you to wrap your arms around his neck. You giggled as his muscular arms wrapped around your waist and brought you up to his level, your head rested on his shoulder as he carefully walked out the bar, your smaller frame securely wrapped around his much larger one.

The loud ding of the elevator in the eerily silent hotel lobby gained your attention; forcing you to lift your head from his somehow comfortable shoulder. Dean rested you on the hand rail of the elevator, his herculean frame standing between your legs as you wrapped them around his waist for support; his crotch pressed closely up against yours, sending those rather x-rated thoughts rushing through your head. You shut your eyes and took a deep breath in as you tried to expel the dirty thoughts, for them to only increase when your eyes fluttered open to see his baby blues boring into you, you were just about to speak up when your words were forced to a halt by a pair of soft lips colliding with your own. You squealed in surprise but melted into the quick and messy kiss, you hips beginning to roll against his in a subtle movement of desperation. He reciprocated the movements as he began to grind his own hips into yours, his hands gripping your ass causing light and breathy moans to fill the small elevator. Your manicured hands tangled themselves in his messy locks of hair as you tugged at them, as your mouths continued to collide in the heated kiss. The both of you were so lost in the heat of the moment you had failed to realise the elevator halt to a stop and with the signature ding, you opened your eyes to see your boss; Triple H standing in the doorway of the elevator. You pulled your mouth away from Dean’s quicker than you’ve ever done anything and coughed awkwardly as your boss wearily stepped into the elevator a questioning look animated across his face. You unwrapped your legs from Dean’s and stood up beginning to smooth out your clothes as a few awkward glances were exchanged in the elevator.

“Aye kids, there’s something called a room ya know. These elevators they all have cameras now” Hunter chuckled as he stepped out of the lift giving Dean a pat on the back and wink which he returned with a smirk. As soon as the heavy metal doors shut obscuring you both from prying eyes Dean slammed your shoulders against the flat wall of the elevator and began roughly trailing his lips down your neck, his hands once again finding their way to your ass.

The elevator doors opened again as you reached your floor, Dean gripped your wrist and almost dragged your towards your hotel room as you tottered along behind him in your heels. Before you could even blink he had the door unlocked and he was pulling you into the room by your hips. He slammed the door shut and threw you down onto the bed; stripping his t-shirt off then crawling on top of you. His lips straight away beginning to attack your neck as his hands pretty much tore your top in two, you moaned lowly at his kisses as your hands moved towards his belt. Dean pulled away to remove his belt; to met by the sight of your frame laying on the bed with mussed up hair, glassy eyes and swollen lips.

“Fuck you’re beautiful” he sighed placing another peck on your lips as he removed your bra, “I literally, I hate you so much I love you” he muttered his hands harshly massaging your breasts. “Like you get on my nerves but fuck are you amazing” you smiled at his words as your kicked your heels off of your feet.

“Hey Dean, Bite me” you challenge him; pulling down to your level and biting his lip hard enough to draw just a little blood. You pull away and smirk as his eyes turn black with lust.

If you insist, sweetheart. I don;t think you realise what you’ve started though” he smiled and chuckled darkly as he flipped you over onto your stomach, planting a rather painful yet in every way pleasurable bite near your collarbone.

Love and First Sight: Chapter One

Vice Principal Larry Johnston extends his hand.

To clarify: I don’t see this. I hear the swish of his shirtsleeve.

“Nice to meet you, William.”

The fabric sound plays again&emdash;the hand retracting.

“I’m sorry, I guess you can’t do that now, can you? You probably want to feel my face?”

He grabs my arm and smacks my palm against his cheek, knocking me off balance so I have to step into the musk of his aftershave.

“Where do you normally start? Eyes? Nose? Mouth?”

He shifts my fingers across the front of his face with each suggestion. His skin is rough and pockmarked, like the outside of an orange.

“No, actually, I don’t do that,” I say, pulling my hand away. “I identify people based on their voices.”

“And…also…” I add. I can’t resist. “Yes?” he asks, all eager to please.

“Well, I don’t usually touch faces, but I am gifted with a heightened sense of smell that allows me to recognize a person’s pheromones, which are concentrated just below the ear, so if you wouldn’t mind … ?”

I touch my pointer finger to my nose.

His excitement drops. “Oh…you want to…smell… my ear?”

Part I Part II Part III

Masterlist

Two months passed and you still didn’t have a good headline. At work, you were still called the Rookie. Not to mention your pay was not all that great. The savings you had were running low. The owner of the house you lived in raised the price on the rent, which meant that your entire check from The Report went towards the rent. If you didn’t find a good scoop, you’d be doomed for sure.

However, every time a killer story surfaced, the opportunity would be snatched away by a newly hired girl. Her name was Madison Titan. She’s only been at The Report for a month but has managed to climb the ladder of success. She always scored front page headlines. She hated you. It wasn’t hard for you to realize that, but you didn’t let it bring you down. You didn’t have time for silly middle school actions.

You sighed as you looked at the stack of bills that needed to be paid. Asking you parents for money was not an option. Your father told you this would happen and it did. He’d just use this opportunity to give you the “I Told You So” conversation. No way did you want him to have that victory.

You looked out the window. A handful of sports cars were parked in Bucky’s circular driveway. You became very good friends with Bucky. Every Saturday he would take your out for lunch. It became a routine. You still knew little about him but didn’t push him to open up. You bit down on your bottom lip and turned away from the window. Shortly after, you received a message from Bucky.

Bucky: come over, I have some friends I want you to meet.

You: right now?

Bucky: yes! You’re not busy right?

You: of course not, I’ll be right over

You ran into your room and pulled the closet open. After pulling on a soft oversized sweater, you quickly sprayed some perfume on you before grabbing your keys. The sun sat high in the sky, beating down on you. You pulled the sweater into your exposed shoulder, but it was no use. The cloth would simply fall back. You walked through Bucky’s garden. Everything looked beautiful with its exotic flowers and pungent smells of roses that engulfed your senses. It looked beautiful, almost ethereal.  You sighed and knocked on the door. A butler opened the door.

“Miss Y/L/N, Mister Barnes is expecting you,” He said.

You smiled and stepped inside. This was the third time you were in Bucky’s house. Clearly, you never went this the extravagant parties he threw every Friday night.

The Butler led you to the pool area where there were a few people mingling around. Bucky saw you and made his way towards you. His head bent down a bit as if he was going in for a kiss, but at the last minute pulled you into a hug. You patted his back and smiled. He wrapped an arm around your shoulder.

“Y/N these are friends of mine,” He said.

A tall man with blond hair steps forward. He was ad muscular as Bucky and flashed you a kind smile, “Steve Rogers.”

You smiled and shook his hand. A beautiful woman with red hair shook hands with you. She introduced herself as Natasha Romanoff. Then you met Sam Wilson, who had a mischievous smile and lingered close to you for a few seconds before leaving your side to talk to Steve. Wanda and Pietro Maximoff introduced themselves at the same time and you almost didn’t catch their names. Finally, you finished off with Clint Barton and Thor, who didn’t give you his surname.

You sat on one of the bar stools at the outdoor bar. You watched as Bucky spoke with his friends openly. Wanda sat next to you, she ordered her drink before turning to you.

“How long have you and Barnes been together?” She asked, her thick accent hung on her voice.

You choked on your drink and began to cough. You shook your head, “We’re not dating. Just good friends.”

She hummed, “The way he looks at you says something else.”

“How does he-?”

“Never mind that,” She said abruptly. “You must be special. James doesn’t always introduce us to his neighbors, much less his girls.”

You sipped your drink, growing uncomfortable about the situation. It seemed like she was talking to herself aloud instead of you. You shrugged, “we’ve known each other for a few months now.”

“He’s not the most open person in the world. Just be patient,” She smiled.

Bucky told you to stay until everyone left. It was two hours of just talking and drinking and lounging around. It wasn’t bad, you were able yo take your mind off the stack of bills that would surely give you a headache once you stepped back into your home. You stood at Bucky’s side as he watched the final car leave the driveway.

He turned to you and smiled, “did you have fun?”

You nodded, “I did!”

“Come on, I’ll give you a tour of the house.” He opened the door and you stepped inside once again. “It had dawned on me that I hadn’t shown you my home.”

“Your house is very beautiful,” You remarked as you followed him deeper into parts of his house that you hadn’t been in.

“It is,” Bucky agreed. “It was built in the late 1800s. The chandeliers had all collected an inch of dust when I first bought this place. Obviously, no one had lived in it for a while.”

You passed various closed doors that you didn’t bother asking what was behind them. Instead, you continued to follow him until the vibrant hallway opened into a large room with a long table in it. The table could possible seat 20 guests and it almost made you sad at the thought of Bucky sitting on one of those chairs eating dinner by himself.

“The dining room,” He said. “Had this table imported from a castle in Europe. Never eat here.”

You weren’t surprised by what he said. He was already moving forward, you quickly followed close behind. Bucky opened a door that revealed the kitchen. It was probably the size of your house. It had a pizza oven, another oven, a grand silver stove, a refrigerator, beautiful marble island and other things you did not recognize. Two chefs were working around the kitchen. Cutting vegetables and fruit while another stirred something in a pot. It smelled exquisite. You watched as the chef cutting the fruit threw the diced strawberries into a large machine that ate the berries and produced a red juice.

“These are the chefs that run the kitchen. Renaldo, Anthony, this is Y/N.” Bucky introduced.

The two men smiled and bowed their heads. Renaldo came forward, “would the Miss like some bread?”

“Yes! Of course!” Bucky boomed happily.

Renaldo grabbed a knife and opened a silver drawer in an oven. Be pulled out a loaf of bread and began cutting it into slices. He handed you one. It was warm, crunchy and soft at the same time.

“This is amazing,” you remarked. “Best bread I’ve ever had!”

“It’s Renaldo’s family recipe,” Bucky said. “Even I don’t know what’s in it.”

You smiled and took another bite from the bread. Bucky led you to a walk-in freezer, where all the ice cream, frozen meats and other foods were stored. He grabbed a wine glass that was filled with chocolate. The door closed behind him, keeping the cold contained. Anthony handed him a spoon and Bucky gave you the glass of chocolate. You dipped the spoon in the glass and ate the chocolate mousse.

“Do you like it?” He asked.

You nodded, “it’s delicious.”

Bucky opened another door and revealed the small room to be filled with different wine bottles. The shelves had white wine as well as red wine. Your lips parted in awe at his wide collection of wine bottles.

The rest of the tour was a blur. Bucky showed you the indoor pool and jacuzzi, gym, game room, lounge area, the courtyard where all the parties usually were held and various other rooms that only seemed to be found a palace.

“Bucky your place is amazing!” You twirled around and closed your eyes as you spun.

“Y/N.”

You stopped and faced Bucky. He was smiling at your state. He took a deep breath as if preparing himself for something.

“Y/N,” He paused. “Do you-would you like to-?”

He was interrupted when the sound of his phone went off. A look of anger flashed through his eyes as he pulled out his phone. Bucky looked up apologetically.

“I’m so sorry, I have to take this, it’s an important call,” he said.

You nodded, “It’s okay Buck.”

He turned his back to you and walked into another room. You managed to catch the beginning of the conversation.

“This better be good Harrison, I was in the middle of something,” Bucky growled.

You were a bit taken aback at his attitude. Not wanting to eavesdrop, you walked away from the door. Your own phone vibrated. It was a message for Emma, saying that Cole wanted to see you. You bit your lip, debating whether to stay and find out what Bucky was going to ask you or go to your boss. You slowly walked towards the room and poked your head in. Bucky was listening intently to the voice at the other end of the line.

“Psst!”

Bucky turned.

“I have to go to work,” You whispered. “We’ll talk tomorrow, okay?”

He moved his phone away from his mouth and nodded. He quickly mouthed an apology. You smiled and turned, making your way to the exit. Leaving a very frustrated Bucky behind.

“Ah, Y/N so good you could make it,” Mr. Cole said when you entered his office. “Please, take a seat. We have much to discuss.”

“What do you wish to discuss?” You asked though you had a feeling of what he wanted to talk about. Mr. Cole leaned back in his seat and set his cigar in the ashtray. You tried you best to muffle a cough. The smell was pungent.

“I’ve heard that you are neighbors with Barnes, is that correct?” He asked.

You furrowed your eyebrows at his comment but nodded, “Yes, I am.”

Cole nodded in approval, “I am willing to make a deal with you.” He paused. “I can raise your pay.” He opened a drawer and pulled out a check. Cole set it in front of you. The check read five thousand dollars and it was addressed to you. “You can walk out of here with this check as long as you agree to my proposal.”

“And what’s that?” You asked, knowing the demon that was around the corner.

“You find out where Barnes gets his money and give me various stories about the skeletons in his closet.” He said.

You scoffed, “Mr. Cole, Mister Barnes is a mystery to me. I barely know the man.”

“Emma tells me she’s seen you going out to lunch with him various times,” Cole said.

Anger fueled inside of you at his comment. How dare he! And how could Emma ever do that to you? You shook your head. “I refuse to do what you request. I can’t ruin a friendship over a headline.”

Cole shrugged and grabbed a pen before writing ‘VOID’ across the check. He threw the pen down, “Pack your things Y/N.”

You nodded, “Gladly.”

You walked out of the office, with nothing but your pride. Your head was tall as you walked to your desk. There was nothing that you wanted to take with you. Nothing to 'pack up.’

“Y/N!” Emma called to you.

You looked at her with tear-filled eyes. Your bottom lip quivered as you grabbed a small postcard on your desk and left to the elevator. You couldn’t help but scorn them. You hated that they were about to use Bucky for a headline. That they were going to invade someone’s life to get a story. You shook your head and wiped your eyes. These people were gullible. Hiding behind their laptops and hunting in a herd for weak prey.

Although he was still a closed book to you, Bucky could possibly be the most truthful person you’ve met.

You thought your day couldn’t get worse. You were wrong. With a slam of the car door, you ripped up the postage card and threw it on the ground, knowing that you’d come back and pick it up later. You walked up the steps of your home and your heart shattered by a single piece of paper.

It was an eviction notice.

You took the paper down and went into your home. You pressed your back against the door and sat down. With your knees pulled up to your chest, you cried. You cried because you had finally done it. You failed. You cried because you lost your job. You cried because you felt used, you felt dirty and stained.

You cried because you knew you had to leave New York, which means leaving Bucky as well.

Yoongi’s POV

Yoongi’s favorite part of the day was the end of the day. When he could finally come home and sleep. Today had been especially annoying, and he was more than happy it was over. He was already stripping off his uncomfortable clothes and getting into sweats and a tee.

He was about to throw himself onto his bed to sleep, but he couldn’t ignore the grumbling noises that came from his stomach. Hesitantly he grabbed his phone ready to order something. Out of habit, he left his room languidly making his way to Jin’s room. Yoongi always out of politeness would ask his older roommate if he wanted anything to eat if he was ordering something.

Without even thinking Yoongi twisted the doorknob to Jin’s room, pushing it open to reveal you. You were half naked, bending over to retrieve your bra off the floor. When you noticed Yoongi’s presence, you quickly stood up straight. You cocked your head to the side and smiled at him.

Yoongi stood there frozen. He had expected you to automatically cover yourself and scream. Like most girls would if they were walked in on getting changed. Yoongi was caught off by your behavior, and how you stood there on full display for him. He should’ve closed his eyes right away and backed out of the room. But you were too tempting.

He couldn’t help it when his eyes wandered down to your chest. Yoongi could feel his cock twitch at the sight. The swell of your breast adorned with purplish pink marks, a few that seemed to maybe be bite marks as well.

Yoongi was quickly brought out of his trance when Jin yelled out for you from the bathroom. All he could do was squeeze his eyes shut and back out of the room. Heat grew on his face and the tops of Yoongi’s ears started to turn bright red. He was beyond embarrassed at what had just happened. It was one thing to walk in on you like that, but another that he stood there so shamelessly gawking at your body.

“Oh, c’mon Jimin! Who are you texting, hm? Show me, show me!” Taehyung lunged from his seat and across the table in an attempt to snatch Jimin’s phone from his hands. It was never out of place for the 95 liners to act this way. The pair were frequently rambunctious, and the rest of the members were used to their sometimes hyperactive behavior. However, Yoongi was still feeling grumpy from the little encounter he had with you earlier about his notebook.

Letting go

Summary: Sana is tired and just wants to go home. Yousef is here and he just wants to see her smile.

Sana was walking home, tired. Noora had been sick today, she wasn’t at school, and Sana had been the only one to send her a text and actually ask if she was okay because, indeed, she didn’t seem to feel great the last times she had seen her, and she was worried about her friend. Noora hadn’t answered, and all Vilde had talked about everytime they had a free period today was boys. And not any boys. Boys who were Sana’s brother and his friends.

Since the other girls seemed to be fine with that, she just let them talk about how pretty Mikael was, how fun they all were, how it was a really cool coincidence that there were five of them, just as the girls were five. How cute Noora and Yousef were together.

Sana had tried to avoid talking or giving her opinion, or else she would have been seen as the cold bitch, once again. Vilde would’ve probably told her that it wasn’t their fault if Sana didn’t want to talk about boys, or how horrible she was for not telling them sooner that her brother and his friends were hot 97’.

It wasn’t that Sana didn’t want to talk about them. But she had always liked keeping friends and family apart, and this was way too big of a change for her. Way too soon. Actually, she probably would never say it but she would’ve prefered not to mix hers and her brother’s friends at all. Ever. Because coming home to them was something that she really liked sometimes, and hearing them laughing or shouting in her brother’s room felt like home. Of course she hated them sometimes, but it still felt fine, like she was right where she belang. Not that she didn’t belong with the girls, but it just… wasn’t the same.

So mixing the two groups and hanging out with her older brother was something she just had never done before, and would’ve prefered to never do. But it seemed like she wouldn’t have the choice now.

She didn’t want to feel like a burden to the girls, didn’t want to tell them why she was acting weird. Sana was just… tired. Once home, she opened the door and heard the sound of the TV. She sighed. The boys were probably there, and it wasn’t really the right moment. Right now, the girl just wanted to do her homework, take a shower, pray and go to bed.

She stopped by the living room to tell her brother she was home, expecting to see Adam and Mikael since they were the ones who usually came here to watch TV with Elias. No luck, they were all here, on the sofa, watching TV. As she entered the room quietly, she noticed Yousef raising his head.

She was clearly sad and tired, and didn’t want to think about him today. She didn’t want to see him, she didn’t want to see his eyes, or his hands, or his stupid smile. She didn’t want to be noticed. But he was there, and he seemed down too. All the other boys seemed dozy, and her brother was clearly asleep on his chair.

The brown-haired boy straightened himself as Sana tried to see what they were watching. She felt his eyes on her, and just wanted to escape his gaze, just this once. So she went to the kitchen to make herself a tea. She put the kettle on, chose a chai that she liked and waited, resisting the urge to take a look at her phone which was constantly vibrating. It probably was Vilde, commenting on something Magnus had done or said and she didn’t need that right now.

As her eyes were distracted by the sky outside the window, she noticed the sound of footsteps on the wooden floor, and caught herself hoping it was Yousef. As the water began to boil, she heard little knocks on the kitchen door.

-Am I disturbing ?, she heard his voice asking.

Description: If he’s a photographer who gets hired constantly by the magazine company you work at, and you two are best friends, who’s to say there isn’t any hidden feelings?

Author’s Notes: How rude can Kyungsoo be? Wrecking my bias list with his stupid acting and beautiful vocals and his sarcastic tone and sass and fuck why does he have to do this to me. like seriously. i find myself so often watching random videos of things he did back in 2012 at 3 am so seriously why. hes not even my bias.

“Okay guys let’s do that one more time, but this time, with more flowers!”

The producer’s voice rings loud and clear throughout the studio. Immediately, you jump into action, running to the models quickly and checking over their dresses quickly. The person in charge of the props takes the large box of petals and roses and heaves it up the ladder so he can throw the red petals over the model.

The model’s dress is still immaculate, but a piece of her hair had escaped from the gracefully messy braid that was strewn across her shoulder. You immediately go to pin it back and then scramble off the set before the producer’s voice is heard again.

“All right people that’s perfect!” he shouts. The photographers start flashing away, and you go to stand behind one of them to look over their shoulder to see the pictures. The pictures, of course, are gorgeous, turning out absolutely flawless. The angles are perfect, the models are stunning, and the photographer’s ass looks great in those jeans.

Fuck.

It was 100% percent normal for you to accidentally catch yourself staring at his ass. You mean, like it’s a nice ass, so you’re gonna appreciate it. Too bad that ass is attached to one of your closest friend’s body.

That friend is Do Kyungsoo. Kyungsoo is a photographer. As a matter of fact, he’s a hell of a photographer. Back in high school he was a photography protege. Like seriously. In the middle of algebra class, if he was inspired enough, he would take out his camera and just start photographing random things, like the worksheets, his pencils, and occasionally that cute guy he saw across the room named Kai or Jongin or whatever.

You didn’t go to high school with him, so how did you know all this about him? Well, he had told you over numerous nights of watching old movies, discussing new ideas to promote at both of your jobs, and just ordering take out so you two could talk about life and other random things. It had become kind of your thing. After you both got off work, which was typically at similar times, because your jobs depended on each other, it would be off to this small but really good cafe (no really–their chocolate chip muffins were literally made by an angel, not to mention their jujube bingsoo) near your buildings. There you two would chat and occasionally make fun of your crazy executives.

It was a nice thing to do, especially after a day of shooting. Those photo shoots got intense sometimes. You worked for a magazine company, in the fashion department. Your job was to make sure the designer dresses and various other clothing styles were in perfect condition. Typically, you would be the one to formulate the outfits before submitting them to your superiors for approval. You would also analyze the outfits once they were used and write a column or a page describing the designer’s feelings towards that piece or what goes into rocking that piece. It wasn’t a hard job, and it paid well. It’s also where you met Kyungsoo when you first started three years ago.

A water being tossed in your direction brings you out of your reverie. Sadly, you come out of your reverie a little too late and the bottle hits you in the face.

“Shit! Sorry (Y/N). Wasn’t aiming at your face if you were wondering.”

You scowl and lean down to pick up the bottle. “Work on your aim there, penguin-man.”

Kyungsoo laughs and opens his own bottle of water to take a swig. Apparently, while you were off reminiscing, the producer called break. You graciously take a sip of your water before moving closer to Kyungsoo to punch him in the arm.

“You seem spaced out today,” he says, grinning as he rubs his arm. “What have you been thinking about?”

You shrug. I was thinking about your lovely ass, buddy. “Taxes, work, how much water I drink a day, adult stuff.”

He lets out a chuckle, before setting his water down on a nearby table and looking over his camera, checking to see if the pictures were turning out as planned. Of course, you knew the pictures were flawless, as you had already checked them out previously, but a good photographer always double checks.

You come up behind him and rest your chin on his shoulder to look at his camera. He’s warm, as usual, and smells like coffee and peppermint, something you’ve grown quite fond of. He acknowledges you with a small smile on his heart shaped lips.

“Oooo, I like that one,” you say, pointing to one as he scrolls through the pictures. He looks at you over his shoulder.

“Didn’t you already look at them all?” he asks.

“Yes, but these are the raw ones,” you say, stepping back and grinning. “These are the ones that you took on your own camera. It’s not the same as looking at them with a bunch of people.”

He gives you a strange look. “But they’re literally the same exact pictures.”

“Not to me.”

“Why in the world are you so fucking weird?”

“Maybe because I’m hanging out with you all the time. Weird people tend to flock together, you know?”

That gets him. He doubles over, laughing. You grin triumphantly. You’ve always found pride in making Kyungsoo laugh like that. Totally not because his laugh was one of the most gorgeous sounds you’ve ever heard. Totally not.

After regaining his posture, with the smile still present on his face, he opens his mouth to say something (probably something really snarky) but the producer beats him to it.

“Break time’s over! Let’s wrap this shoot up quickly!”

_________

Just as the producer wanted, the crew wrapped up the shooting not long after that break. You followed the models into the dressing room to help them properly and carefully take off the delicately designed dresses. You’re extra careful about that bit of lace near the buttons.

As the models all make their way from the dressing room, bowing respectively, you zip up the last dress into it’s protective bag and take a deep breath. That shoot was a lot more mild than you expected, and for that you’re glad. Usually the shoots leave you drained from being around so many people and in need of recharging. Kyungsoo typically deals with the same curse of introverted-ness as you, so you two often try to recharge together, which completely goes against the idea of an introvert.

Regardless of your introverted self, you find yourself craving more of Kyungsoo’s time, and wanting to be with him more often than naught. You’ve told some of your other friends this, and all they’ve said is stuff like, “You’re blind. Metaphorically and physically,” or “Why is it that when you need to recharge, you only want to hang out with–ohh…never mind,” or “He must be special to you or something. Introverts tend to group together I think.”

You groan in frustration. You really don’t know why you like Kyungsoo more than others. In truth, he just kind of snuck up on you. You both had been huddled in a corner at a company dinner, and with both of your bosses chatting together, talking about deals and such, you two had awkwardly scrolled through your phones until you saw a picture of Natsu on his phone and you couldn’t help but ask him about it. From that grew anime hangouts and then just casual hangouts. Over the three years you knew him, he became the closest person to you. Up until Kyungsoo, you’d never really had any super close friends, like ones that you know you couldn’t ever get tired around, no matter how much you loved them.

A knock at the door makes you jump and realize that you were staring at yourself in the mirror for the past thirty seconds.

“(Y/N)? You in here? Doesn’t matter I’m still coming in because I know you’re in here.”

The door knob turns and Kyungsoo’s face peeks around the corner of the opened door. A heart-shaped grin forms over his lips. “You ready to go? You took even longer than usual to pack up.”

You shake your head to get rid of the remnants of your thoughts. “I’m ready. How much longer did you have to wait? Five minutes? Thirty seconds?”

“You were like half an hour later than usual,” he says, coming fully into the room with his hands in his pockets. “I had to wait in the cold, freezing night for like ten minutes!”

“Kyungsoo, it’s five in the evening. The sun is still out. That, and the fact that it’s like 70 degrees outside.”

“I know that. Now, let’s go. I need my evening coffee.”

You quickly grab your satchel and double check to see if everything is in there before nodding and Kyungsoo and leaving the dressing room.

________

The cafe that you typically go to is quiet, which is strange, as people are typically just getting out of work at that time. But today, the cafe is practically empty, save for some college students huddled in a corner. You both order the same thing you’ve been ordering for the past six months and find your seat on the second floor of the cafe to wait.

The seat that you two always sit at is always on the second floor, secluded from most people. It’s right next to the window, so you can scope out people and guess what they’re thinking in those moments. It’s become quite a routine for you. You could even call it therapeutic, in a way. It gets you out of your apartment after work and helps you stay involved in the world. Honestly, without Kyungsoo, you’d probably be back in your apartment, endlessly scrolling through Tumblr looking for decent fanfictions to read.

It hits you as you sit down in your seat. Kyungsoo has taken up about 96% of your life and you’re left wondering how that happened. How did this awkward, introverted photographer with a secret love of anime and kittens who comes off as really rude at first glance manage to sneak his way into your life? How did such a person who likes plants and taking pictures of things he deems “elegant” become so close to you? Somehow, he manages to sneak his way into most of your thoughts. He manages to get you ready for the day. He manages to make sure that you eat healthy food and a nice home cooked meal once in a while. He has just taken up so much of your thoughts and you just wish it would all–

“(Y/N)? You still there?”

A hand waves across your face and you jump. You nod, still reevaluating everything that happened in your life up until this point in your mind.

“You seem really spaced out today,” he says, a look of confusion spreading across his face. “There’s got to be something you’ve been overthinking about lately. Come on. Spill it, or I’m eating all the jujube bingsoo.”

You shrug. “If you don’t let me have some of that bingsoo, I swear I will never talk to you again, Kyungsoo.”

He grins. “Then tell me what’s got you all distracted lately.”

“Nothing!” you say, a bit more defensively this time. “Nothing is distracting me at all!”

Kyungsoo hums. “Oh I’ll definitely believe you. Totally. And I can stand that Chanyeol guy who works with you.”

“Chanyeol is a nice guy!”

“He’s too nice.”

You groan in frustration and open your mouth to say something, but the buzzer signifying your drinks and food are ready buzzes before you can say anything.

“I’m gonna go and get the drinks,” you say, snatching up the buzzer from beneath Kyungsoo’s hand. “And you are not eating all of the bingsoo, I assure you that.”

You walk off to walk down the stairs and sigh. He knows you too well. He knows when your mind is wandering. The only problem is, he doesn’t know what it’s wandering to. Lately, it’s been wandering to Kyungsoo. You really have no idea why. It’s truly getting annoying. All your mind has been saying is, “Will Kyungsoo be there?” “I wonder what Kyungsoo is up to now.” “Has Kyungsoo eaten today?” and other various thoughts concerning Kyungsoo. Kyungsoo, Kyungsoo, Kyungsoo. That’s all it’s been. You’ve known this guy for three years, and yet just now he’s been in every thought you’ve had.

You shake your head to rid yourself of thoughts of Kyungsoo as you pick up your bingsoo and tea. You assure yourself that it’s only because he’s been your friend for so long, that’s why he’s always in your mind. Yeah. He’s been your friend for a long time. That’s why. No other reason. Absolutely no other reason.

You make your way back to your table, where Kyungsoo is staring out the window. The evening sun shining in through the window makes him absolutely glow, accentuating his cheekbones and the graceful curves of his lips. It’s truly stunning how he can be so beautiful. It’s also a bit weird because that beautiful man is you best friend. It’s totally normal to admire your best friend, right? You did admire his ass earlier during the shoot, but now that you think back on it, was because your eyes were fixated on a point and he just so happened to move into that exact spot, and you were just too lazy move your eyes. Simple as that.

You make sure to keep the bingsoo close to you as you sit down, glaring suspiciously at your friend. He smirks at you and you growl. “Don’t fucking take my bingsoo from me.”

Kyungsoo holds his hands up in surrender. “Fine, fine. Just please tell me what’s been going through your mind.”

“Chanyeol!” You can’t stop the name from escaping your lips. He was the first person to come to mind that wasn’t Kyungsoo, so he was better than nothing.

“What?”

“Chanyeol…he’s the one that I’ve been thinking about,” you say, taking a sip of you tea, only to find out that it’s scalding hot.

“That over sized man-child is what you’ve been thinking about?” Kyungsoo crosses his arms across his chest. “Chanyeol? Really? Why of all people him?”

You cough. “Well…he’s very nice to me…and he’s interested in getting to know me…plus he’s really tall and acts kinda like a puppy?”

Kyungsoo looks at you suspiciously. “You don’t sound very sure about that.”

“No, I guess I don’t,” you say, taking a bite of the bingsoo. The sweet taste of the red beans combined with the shaved ice and a piece of jujube explodes on your tongue and you almost moan at how good it tastes.

He sighs in defeat. “I should probably stop while I’m ahead. I’ve gotten what I can out of you.”

You grin. “If only you could read my mind.”

_________________

It’s 3 AM and you’re struggling to sleep. No matter what you do, you can’t stop evaluating everything about Kyungsoo and your relationship. This had never happened before. Evaluating your relationship with him means you’re evaluating your feelings for him. That’s scary. Feelings are scary. Especially if they’re anything but platonic for your best friend, who you most certainly do not want to scare away.

You toss around in your bed, trying to get comfortable. Nothing really works. Sometimes, if you can’t sleep, you reach around to try to find Kyungsoo, but this wasn’t one of the nights that he stays over. Most of the time, you find yourself staying over at Kyungsoo’s or sometimes you find him staying over at yours. It’s quite comforting, in a way. He’s very warm and quite comfy, like a nice pillow.

You sigh. Kyungsoo is just someone that’s so special to you that you don’t ever want to let go. He helps you out of your shell. He spends hours of his life with you. He cooks for you. He helps clean your apartment with you. He often sleeps over with you. He argues with you if you are ever tempted to adopt a dog even though your apartment building doesn’t allow pets. He makes sure you get home on time. He makes sure you’re awake and caffeinated for the day. He listens to you if you need someone to talk to. He appreciates your talents and encourages them.

This isn’t fair. Why are you the one who has to reevaluate an entire relationship at 3 AM? Why can’t Kyungsoo be the one who’s up all night thinking about everything you did with him? Why does it have to be you?

Kyungsoo is just so…so…different from anyone you’ve ever met. Your friends say that you two are practically married at this point. Whenever they say that, you two always laugh it off, but something in your heart feels strange whenever they mention it. Maybe they’re right. Maybe you two are almost like a married couple.

You groan in frustration. Kyungsoo is an amazing person. He’s a gentleman, kind and respectful. He knows when to be professional and he knows when to be silly. He seems so rude and cut off from the world at first, but then you get to know him, and he’s this giant fluff ball with penguin boxers and a lot of sass. He’s so particular. So very very particular. With his minimalist art he has lined up on his walls, those cat slippers he got for you because he knows how much you like cats, and his amazing chef skills, he’s almost too good to be true.

Besides being a sweetheart and kind to literally everyone he meets, he’s also physically stunning. Absolutely stunning. With his heart shaped lips and well defined arms, he’s stunning. You’ve seen the way your co-workers have eyed him and remember the way that made you feel. It made you feel all yucky and annoyed all of a sudden. They would take one glance at him and just start giggling. It was even worse at restaurants. If the waitress or waiter was interested, they would flirt with him, and that happened quite often. It wasn’t like you’d get jealous or anything. It’s not like you love him. Right?

Fuck.

You’re totally, head-over-heals in love with your best friend. You slap your hand across your face and groan again, but this time louder. It’s not like you can help it. This is the first time you’ve come to terms with your feelings for him and you don’t like it. Not one bit.

__________

The next morning scares you and you don’t want to get out of bed. Getting out of bed means having to see Kyungsoo. And having to see Kyungsoo means that you’ll have to face the reality of your newly discovered feelings. That doesn’t sound very appealing to you. So instead of facing your feelings head on, you decide to run from them.

You end up calling in sick that day. Which is technically not a lie, as your stomach feels queasy and your head is kind of pounding. That and you hadn’t taken a sick day for the past five months, so might as well now. Thankfully there aren’t any big shoots to do today, as the big one was yesterday. Today would have just consisted of going through the photos and deciding which ones would work best in the magazine. Being the person who contacts designers and formulates the outfits you weren’t really needed anyway. Besides, you wouldn’t have to face Kyungsoo today anyway.

Kyungsoo ends up texting you, asking if you’re alive, if you’ve eaten, whether or not you’ve taken any medicine, or drank anything today. Honestly, you don’t know how he knew you called in sick. He doesn’t even work at your building. Maybe he was there as the executives were choosing the photos. You’ll never really know.

You’re sick? why didn’t you tell me?

I dunno. I don’t even feel that bad. I guess I just kinda wanted a break or something.

did you eat anything today?

yea…some crackers and half a carrot

that’s not enough.

i’m not even that hungry

regardless, I’m gonna bring you some soup

Dude you have your own job. Stay being responsible and do your job, you little shit

here I am, being an amazing best friend, bringing you soup when you’re sick and still under-appreciated. how rude of you.

you’re at WORK now, penguin man. you don’t need to bring me soup.

I’m bringing you soup. Did you drink anything today?

yes, mom, i drank some juice and water.

why are you still sassy when you’re sick

I SAID IM NOT EVEN THAT SICK AND EVEN IN GENERAL IM NOT SASSY OMFG

still. let me in when i get to your apartment.

You throw your phone down onto your bed in frustration. All you really want to do is avoid Kyungsoo at all costs. And he’s not letting you even try to avoid him. Telling him that you just recently realized your feelings for him will absolutely ruin your friendship with him. You’re about 100% sure he doesn’t feel the same way about you. How could he anyway? The thought of him ever having feelings for you makes you laugh. Why would he like you? He’s so intricate and you’re just…well you’re just you.

You decide to get up and wait in the living room for him. You plop yourself down onto your couch with your laptop and decide to watch an episode of Strong Woman Do Bong Soon. The beautiful Ahn Min Hyuk should help distract you from Kyungsoo and his adorable pout and cute lips and kind smile and good heart and fuck where were you going with this thought.

Halfway through a particularly good episode, a knock sounds from your door. You sigh. There’s absolutely no way to avoid this, is there? Another knock sounds at your door, confirming that there is not one single way to avoid this. At all.

You sluggishly make your way to the door and open it, to reveal Kyungsoo, with multiple grocery bags full of ingredients.

“I wasn’t sure what type of soup you wanted, so I got lots of things.”

Damn him. Damn him and his thoughtfulness.

“How is your boss okay with this?” you ask, opening the door wider for him to maneuver in with all those bags.

He sets the bags down on your kitchen counter and begins unpacking the food. “He knows how close we are. He also thinks we’re secretly married.”

You pray hard that your face isn’t red.

“Damn, your face is really red. Just how sick are you?”

Fuck fuck fuck fuck. “I said already, I’m not really sick at all. You don’t need to make me any soup.”

He still doesn’t stop unloading the groceries. “I’m still making you soup. Besides, it was about time to restock your fridge.”

You sigh in defeat and sit on the counter next to the stove. “You don’t need to. I don’t need you to baby me.”

Kyungsoo smirks and a comfortable silence falls between you both. It’s moments like these where you’re going to struggle trying to keep these feelings to yourself. It’s not like you can help it. He’s just such…such boyfriend material, you know? Especially when he’s wearing that jean jacket and those ripped black jeans. And most specially when he’s preparing the vegetables for the soup.

“So, you’ve been thinking about Chanyeol lately, huh?” Kyungsoo breaks the silence. He looks over at you expectantly. There’s something in his eyes that scares you.

“I guess so,” you sigh. “He’s very tall and easy to notice. That and he works with you, so I get to see him a lot.”

“He asked about you today, you know.” He starts to slice the carrots. “As I was leaving, he asked if you were okay and if I would say hi to you for him.”

This surprises you. “Really? He did? That’s so sweet of him.” Thinking about all these boyfriend vibes you’re getting from Kyungsoo is making you wonder how long these feelings have been repressed for. Especially as you notice how this is exactly how you two usually act. Maybe you can date Chanyeol as a way to get your mind off of Kyungsoo. But then again, wouldn’t that technically be using Chanyeol? Maybe if you explained your situation to Chanyeol he would understand your predicament.

A glare is shot your way. “I don’t like him,” he says, turning back to his carrots.

“Why? He’s a nice guy and he brings me coffee every once and a while.”

“He does what now?”

“Brings me coffee,” you say. Why the hell is Kyungsoo getting all riled up? “Is there anything wrong with that?”

“No,” he says. “There’s absolutely nothing wrong with it. I just don’t really see him as someone you could be with.”

That catches you off guard. “Someone I could be with? Kyungsoo, he’s adorable and sweet plus he’s tall and got cute ears. I can see myself with him.” You say that to Kyungsoo, but somehow, it feels more like you’re saying it to yourself. Chanyeol is a great guy in all, but he’s not Kyungsoo.

“Well, who am I to stop you then?” he replies shortly. “Date him if you want to. I’m not going to stop you.”

“Dummy,” you say, hopping off of the counter and going to steal a piece of carrot. “I don’t even know if he likes me or not.”

“He told me he thinks you’re cute,” Kyungsoo says as he cuts a second piece of celery into small slices.

Really? That was unexpected. Still, you hope that Chanyeol will be understanding of your problem when you tell him. Why of all people do you have to struggle with these stupid feelings for your best friend? Why?

“Then tomorrow I’ll get his number,” you declare, grinning. “If he thinks I’m cute then there’s a mutual attraction somewhere.”

“Yeah, I guess there is,” he says as he throws a pinch of salt into the soup pot.

_____________

The next day starts almost exactly the same way the previous one had. You don’t want to face Kyungsoo again and the world at all. But you know if you could face him for a few hours yesterday, then today shouldn’t be so bad. How people with unrequited love survive, you’ll never know. You guess you’ll find out.

You drag yourself from your bed to get ready. Your apartment seems colder than usual now that you’re not in your warm bed, bundled in your sheets. Typically you’d keep the apartment a bit colder than a typical indoor temperature. It’s easier to put on clothing if you’re cold than to take off clothing if your hot. You dig through your closet to find something presentable and strip out of your pajamas to change.

You make a quick breakfast of eggs and toast before grabbing your phone and wallet and leaving your apartment to take the bus to your work building. The ride isn’t very long, thankfully, and once you arrive, you rush into the building. You aren’t late at all, as a matter of fact you’re quite early, but just the thought of the possibility of running into Kyungsoo scares you.

You successfully avoid seeing Kyungsoo on your way in, but the person standing at your desk confuses you. He’s facing away from you, but judging by the tall and lanky body, it’s probably Chanyeol.

“Morning!” you cheerily quip as you make your way around your desk to set your things down. The tall man smiles back at you, and holds a cup of coffee out to you. His face is slightly dusted pink.

“I-Kyungsoo told me tha-that you’re interested in getting to know me better,” he says, as you take the coffee from him and smile.

“He did?” you say as you blow on the coffee to try to cool it down. “Well, he wouldn’t be wrong, per say…but I wanted to talk to you about something.”

His eyebrows raise. “You do? How about over coffee this evening then? After work? I mean, after all, we’re still reviewing the photos today so I usually get off at the same time as you.”

You nod in confirmation. “That’d be nice, sure.”

You know that the after work coffee runs are usually exclusively you and Kyungsoo, but today, you just still want to run from your feelings once again. Yesterday, Kyungsoo literally forced you to interact with him, being the giant sweetheart that he is, just so he could take care of you. Gah, why is he so sweet?

Chanyeol leaves your desk after people begin coming into the well decorated office space the fashion team was assigned to and gives you a wave over his shoulder. Thankfully, you only have to write the rough draft of a column describing the dress and how it was worn. The writing part was never the easiest part of your job, but you still liked the way the words just flowed onto the document at sometimes. It made you feel better about your writing skills.

According to the subscribers of the magazine, they quite liked and appreciated your input and facts about the outfits. Which was surprising to you, as you had never really thought that your facts and tips were all that special. But apparently they were. It always boosts your self esteem whenever you read a good review, makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside, like you actually accomplished something good in your life.

The day went by fast. Kyungsoo had texted you occasionally, sending sneaky pictures of Chanyeol and saying stupid things like

wow look at that hunk ammi right?

why him tho

just why

hey look there he goes

visiting his princess maybe?

stfu penguin

btw im meeting with him after work, so today’s evening coffee run will have to be postponed one day

Why does he have to be like that? You really still don’t know after three years of friendship.

“So, Chanyeol eh?”

You jump in your seat and turn around to see Jiwoo standing behind you. “What? No. No, not at all.”

She smirks. “But he totally gave you that coffee this morning. I saw him. And what’s that about you meeting up for coffee with him after work? I thought that was what you and Kyungsoo did though. You’re not cheating on him right?”

Your face turns bright red. “We aren’t dating!” you say defensively.

Jiwoo lets out a laugh. “Oh, right sorry. I forgot you’re married.”

“We are not married!” You cross your arms over your chest.

“Oh hush, you two are practically married at this point. I’m surprised you two haven’t moved in together yet.”

“That’s because we aren’t married!”

Another smirk forms over Jiwoo’s face. “Are you sure about that? You’re both obviously in love with each other. Like seriously. You make it so obvious. I walked past the meeting room and Kyungsoo was totally staring daggers at Chanyeol. He looked like he was really close to socking him in the mouth or something.”

“Kyungsoo always looks like that when Chanyeol’s around,” you say. “He hates him.”

Jiwoo hums. “Have you ever wondered why he hates him so much?”

“Maybe because he’s so much taller than him, and Kyungsoo has an inferiority complex?”

“Yeah, let’s just go with that until you two come to terms with your feelings.”

“I have come to terms,” you mumble under your breath. “And I don’t like it.”

Jiwoo hears you. She lets out a squeal and kneels down next to your chair. “Wait really?” She whispers. “Are you serious? Fucking finally, I thought I was gonna scream just watching you two not dating for real.”

You groan in frustration. “Don’t tell anyone, please, Jiwoo. I don’t want to love him, if I tell him how I really feel, I think he’ll get scared and awkward and then slowly get more distant from me and then I’ll be left single for the rest of my life, with five cats, but then again, having five cats doesn’t seem too–”

“(Y/N).” Jiwoo interrupts your ranting. “Just stop overthinking it. He probably feels the same way as you.”

You scoff. “Oh really? Sure, yeah totally. Kyungsoo totally is in love with me just as much as I love him. Totally.”

Jiwoo rolls her eyes. “Ha ha, love the sarcasm. But seriously, the way he looks at you, it’s like you’re the night sky or some shit like that. Or maybe it’s like he’s looking at his camera or something. It’s adorable.”

You eye her. “I don’t think Kyungsoo loves his camera in a romantic way, Jiwoo.”

She shrugs as she stands up. “I dunno, honey. He loves that camera more than anything in the world. Except maybe you.”

With that she skips off giggling to herself, leaving you bright red in the face and a scowl.

The day ends up going much quicker after that. You finish up the column and submit it for assessment, relieved that you got it done with time to spare. You decide to work on researching and trying to find contacts for new designers looking to put their names out there.

You don’t even realize that it’s the end of the day until Chanyeol shows up in front of your desk, waiting for you expectantly.

“You ready?” He asks. You nod and swing your backpack across your shoulder. Smiling at you, you both leave the building, giving a wave to your executives.

Your phone buzzes, multiple times. Turns out Jiwoo was spying on Kyungsoo for you. Wonderful.

Kyungsoo’s sulking

like really he’s sulking and pouting like a baby

wow

he’s such trash for you

how is this possible.

I think he’s scrolling through his photos of you

holy shit man

he’s trash

i s2g

you are married

face the facts man

I am with CHANYEOL u asshole leave me alone

You guys are married

have fun on ur attempt to make kyungie jealous

which is totally working btw

You can’t help but giggle as you slip your phone into your pocket. Chanyeol looks at you, a soft grin on his face. “Kyungsoo?”

Your head whips around to look at him. “No! It was Jiwoo, gosh, man.”

Chanyeol lets out a laugh. “Wow, quick to deny that, are we?”

You can feel your face getting a little warm. “Well, I don’t want to help feed the idea that Kyungsoo and I are secretly married, now do I?”

He laughs again. You arrive at a different cafe than the usual cafe you go to with Kyungsoo. It would feel a bit strange to bring someone that wasn’t Kyungsoo to that cafe.

You both order, getting a chocolate muffin to split, an iced mocha for you, and a white chocolate mocha for Chanyeol. Once your drinks were ready, you found a seat near the window and sat down.

Chanyeol takes a sip of his drink and immediately retracts from it, yelping. “Hot! Holy fuck, that’s hot.”

You laugh. “This is why I got an iced coffee, especially in this 70 degree weather we’re having.”

He sticks his burnt tongue out at you and blows on his coffee. “So, what did you want to talk to me about.”

You bite your lip. “Well, you see, I am in a bit of a predicament.”

He raises an eyebrow at you. “How so?”

“Um,ikindasortarealizedthatilovekyungsooanddon’tknowhowtofacemyfeelingsandhim.”

“Mm hmm,” Chanyeol says, taking a sip of his coffee, but this time slower. “And how does that make you feel?”

You groan. “You have no idea what I just said, do you?”

He grins and shakes his head. “No clue. Mind slowing down a bit?”

You take a deep breath. “Okay, so I…I realized that I love Kyungsoo.”

Chanyeol’s grin just grows. “Finally. I had no idea how long I was going to have to wait for you two to discover your feelings for each other.”

This confuses you. “Wait, you’re not upset at all?”

“Why would I be upset about that?” He asks, taking a piece of the muffin and putting it in his mouth.

“Well, I mean, um, Kyungsoo may have said that you said that you thought that I was cute…and I mean I thought that maybe you liked me…”

Chanyeol laughs again. “I only wanted to ever be your friend! Besides, if I ever even tried to make a move on you, Kyungsoo would kill me. I mean, if I tried to even talk to you while he’s in the same room, I’d probably die. He loves you a lot, but I can tell he’s in denial. He talk about you all the time, that’s why I wanted to get to know you.”

You take a sip of your coffee and shake your head. “It’s just really hard for me to believe people when they say that Kyungsoo loves me. I can’t believe anyone who says Kyungsoo loves me. It doesn’t seem possible at all.”

“Honey, Kyungsoo is in love with you.”

“Why does everyone keep saying that?”

“Because it’s true, buddy.” Chanyeol sips his coffee. “If you hear more than one person say that, it’s probably true.”

You scoff. “Yeah, sure. It’s probably just a giant prank or something. How many people are in on this, dude?”

“Look, I’ll tell you what,” he says. “Let’s date.”

This catches you off guard. “Let’s what now?”

He sits back in his seat “Date. Let’s go on a few dates, but make it really obvious that we’re seeing each other.”

“….Why?”

“Kyungsoo is going to hate me so much after this-”

“He already hates you a lot.”

“But if it gets him to realize his damn feelings for you then so be it. It’s getting really annoying hearing him talk about how ‘(Y/N) did this yesterday’ and ‘(Y/N) tripped over a dog today.’ No offense.”

“None taken.”

He leans forward again, elbows on his knees. “So? Will you do it?”

You contemplate this. Maybe seeing Chanyeol would be a good way to get over Kyungsoo. Although Chanyeol just wants to “date” you for the sake of making Kyungsoo jealous (which you highly doubt will actually happen). This could help though. It’s better than telling Kyungsoo how you feel and risking losing your best friend.

You sigh. “Might as well.”

Chanyeol grins. “Let’s do this thing.”

___________________

Chanyeol’s plan is put into action the next day. You had exchanged numbers the previous day, and discussed the details over the night. The next day, you are to eat lunch with Chanyeol, possibly inviting Kyungsoo along if he so happened to be around (which he was most likely going to be). Chanyeol will be blatantly flirting and you’re pretty sure you’ll have to play along. You know this is the dumbest thing you’ve ever done. Really, trying to possibly make Kyungsoo jealous? You? It was like trying to make a penguin jealous of a cat’s milk or something, it didn’t make sense nor did you think that would ever happen.

Regardless, when lunch comes around the next day, you wave a brief goodbye to Jiwoo and the rest of the team and leave to find Chanyeol. You still don’t think it’s going to make any effect on Kyungsoo at all. It just seems so ridiculous to you.

You meet Chanyeol outside of your building. He’s wearing an oversized sweatshirt, skinny jeans, and a sly smile on his face. You approach him cautiously.

“What’s with the face?” you ask, worried that he did something stupid. Again.

He scratches the back of his neck. “I invited Kyungsoo along with us.”

“Damnit.”

He shrugs. “We were going to invite him along if he was around anyway. I thought I should just do it.”

“And he said he would go to lunch with you?”

“I told him you were going and he immediately changed his mind. He literally growled at me. It was scary.”

You laugh and shake your head. “He’s weird.”

“Who’s weird?”

You swivel around to see Kyungsoo walking up to the both of you, a hard look on his face. Almost by instinct, your heart starts pounding and the butterflies in your tummy start running a marathon.

“No one,” Chanyeol replies, grinning as he swings an arm across your shoulder casually. Kyungsoo scoffs.

“Whatever,” he says, a sullen look taking over his face. “Let’s just eat. Where are we going?”

“I was going to let (Y/N) here pick out the place,” Chanyeol says, grinning down at you. You look up at him with wide eyes.

“Me?” You ask, totally caught off guard. Chanyeol cheerily nods at you, and you glance over at Kyungsoo. He’s fiddling with the camera hanging from his neck and staring across the street at something. “Oh, well, how does Thai sound?”

Chanyeol grins. “Sure, love, whatever you feel like.”

“I thought you hated Thai?” Kyungsoo shoots at Chanyeol, his eyes staring daggers at him.

“Well, I do,” he begins. “But if my lovely (Y/N) here wants it, then I’m perfectly fine with that.”

Your face turns bright red.

Your (Y/N)?” Kyungsoo grumbles. “I didn’t realize that she belonged to anybody.”

Can these two please stop? Like really. It’s embarrassing. And kind of terrifying at the same time. Seriously, Kyungsoo looks like he’s been watching too much “How to Get Away With Murder,” and thinks that he can actually get away with it.

Chanyeol only holds his hands up in surrender. “You’re right, you’re right. She’s not a possession. She’s an angel,” he says, and pinches your cheek. You push his hands away and shrink into yourself.

“Stop that,” you mumble. “It’s embarrassing.”

“Yeah, you heard her,” Kyungsoo says scowling and adjusting his backpack. “Stop it.”

Chanyeol merely grabs your hand and turns you around. “Lead the way to the Thai, my angel.”

An annoyed grunt is heard from behind you and the butterflies only seem to fly faster.

The Thai place that you chose is absolutely amazing, one of your favourites, and you decide to get take out so you could just bring it back to your buildings. Thankfully, the restaurant isn’t too far from the building so you don’t have to walk far with the warm food. You also don’t have to wait very long to eat the wonderful smelling food. Your stomach grumbles as you walk alongside Kyungsoo, while Chanyeol runs ahead to pet some dogs.

“So…you and Chanyeol, huh?” Kyungsoo asks, almost hesitantly.

“Hmm? Oh, yeah, him and me,” you say awkwardly. “He’s precious.”

“Precious, huh?” He murmurs. “You know how much I can’t stand him. I still don’t understand why you’re with him.”

“Well, I’m not technically with him,” you say. “We’re not an official couple. We just recently started hanging out more.”

“Still,” he mutters. “Ah, it doesn’t matter anyway. You see who you want to see. Just as long as they make you happy.”

On the inside, your heart feels heavy, but on the outside, you smile graciously at him. “Thanks, buddy. I think I will.”

Chanyeol comes leaping back to you and squeals as he takes your hand. “Holy shit those dogs were the cutest things I have ever seen in my life. They were so fluffy and soft and hyper and oh my god I love them.”

You giggle and hold his hand tighter. That does not go unnoticed by Kyungsoo and he looks away. “You’re adorable,” you say.

Chanyeol grins down at you. “Awe, thanks love. You’re cute too.”

Another annoyed groan sounds from Kyungsoo.

______________

About a week has passed since the awkward lunch with Kyungsoo. It’s Friday now, you and Chanyeol have met up at least ten times, each time consisting of Chanyeol insisting that his plan is working and Kyungsoo is totally jealous.

“He literally refused to be in the same group as me when we went to a shoot!” He insists. “He typically just rolls his eyes and doesn’t argue, but this time he straight up refused. Didn’t even give a reason, just glared at me like he was plotting my murder.”

“Isn’t that what he usually does?”

“Yeah, but this time, he looked like he was really going into detail.”

It’s always the same thing. Him insisting that Kyungsoo is in love with you while you both share a chocolate muffin. It’s a change, but you still miss seeing Kyungsoo. You still see him of course, he comes over to yours every once in a while to watch some Ghibli films with you while eating take out, and you occasionally go over to his to get some cooking tips (he ends up cooking an entire meal for you, not that you’re complaining). It’s sweet, but the atmosphere feels different. A bit strained, contained in a way, like he’s not telling you something. Maybe he got a girlfriend? No, he probably would have told you that big of a detail.

Chanyeol decides to bring you out to some fancy restaurant in order to fuel his plan. It’s this beautifully built, gorgeous restaurant that has like four dollar signs on Yelp or something. You really don’t know the purpose of going there (you also realize that you tend to not understand half of what’s going on anymore) but you decide to treat yourself to dressing up and going out with a good friend. So you agree. Chanyeol is ecstatic when you let him know and immediately asks what colour your dress will be so he can match his tie. You just give him a “I’m-so-done-with-you” look and move on. He only laughs.

You’ve told Kyungsoo about the “date” with Chanyeol, and he insists to come over before you go so he can help you get ready. Reluctantly, you agree and he arrives about ten minutes later with some muffins.

“I made muffins to send to my mom, but I made too many,” he says, holding them out to you. “So I decided I could give the rest to you.”

You hope you’re not blushing as you take the delicious smelling muffins and grin up at him. “Bless you, Soo, bless you.”

A heart-shaped smile grows over his face.

He sits on your bed as you search through your closet for a dress appropriate for the occasion. You don’t really have a lot of choices, but you manage to narrow down your options to two of the nice dresses you have out of the three.

“So…” Kyungsoo awkwardly begins. “Fancy date with Chanyeol…tonight. Where’s he taking you?”

You shrug and hold the two dresses up to him. “Some fancy place by the name of Danielle, I think. Red or black?”

“Black,” he says, looking at the two, and sighs. “I still think my cooking is better, just saying.”

You giggle. “I know, Soo, I know. Your cooking is the best I’ve yet to have. I doubt that this five star restaurant can top your marinated beef with asparagus.”

Kyungsoo grins triumphantly and you shoot a grin back at him before going into the bathroom to change.

The dress is an off the shoulder number with flowing sleeves, kind of like medieval style, that goes down to your mid thigh. It’s a bit tight, hugging everything quite nicely, actually. You never really took a good look at it before now, but now that you’re actually looking at it on yourself in the mirror, you like what you see. You take a deep breath before going out of the bathroom to show Kyungsoo.

“So? How does it look?”

He turns around from looking at the photos on your wall and his mouth slightly drops open. You can feel your face turning red again.

“Its…definitely on you,” he says.

You roll your eyes. “Really, Soo, does it look okay?”

He hesitates before answering. “Yes, you look absolutely stunning.”

You nod and give him a gracious smile before getting a dark red choker to wear and your heels. You’d much rather be doing so much at this moment. You’d prefer to be helping Kyungsoo make something for dinner in your pajamas before settling down to watch a rerun of a drama. But if Chanyeol is going to literally go to such extreme lengths to get Kyungsoo to “confess” or whatever, you might as well go along with it. It’s kind of fun, you can’t lie, and hanging out with Chanyeol is always entertaining.

You slip your heals on and lace the choker around your neck. Your hair has already been curled and pinned half up half down. It’s a nice look, you decide, and check the time. 7:26. Chanyeol should be here any minute to pick you up. You look over at Kyungsoo. He’s still looking at your pictures, and his eyes seem like they’re glued to this on photo of you and him.

That photo was always your favourite. You two had gone to Jeju island that day, with Kyungsoo’s friend Jongdae. Jongdae had taken a candid picture of you two laughing at something a seagull had done. Kyungsoo had his arm slung around your shoulder, and you were smiling up at him, mid laugh. Just seeing that picture made you feel all warm and happy. Even before you realized your feelings, that picture always made you feel like that. Safe, warm, and a bit nostalgic of the past.

You come up behind Kyungsoo and open your mouth to say something, but your phone buzzes, and you know that it’s probably Chanyeol telling you he’s here. Kyungsoo sighs, as though he knows what that buzz means too and tears his eyes away from the picture to look at you.

You pick up your phone and grab your wallet, before confirming that yes, Chanyeol is here to pick you up. You both make your way to your door to grab your coat in case it gets cold tonight. Turning to face Kyungsoo, you open your mouth to say something, but he beats you to it.

“Make sure he treats you right,” Kyungsoo says, almost sadly. He looks a bit defeated and tired, now that you’re really looking at him. He seems like he hasn’t been getting enough sleep lately and just looks really down. Your heart feels compressed in your chest at the thought of him not feeling well lately. All you want to do is get him into bed, nice and warmly bundled up and make him some soup and tea. But you know at this time, you can’t do that. Chanyeol is waiting downstairs. So instead, you smile at him, feeling somewhat empty that you aren’t going to the restaurant with Kyungsoo.

“I will,” you say, putting a hand on his shoulder and nodding. “I’ll report it all to you tomorrow, okay?”

He nods, and opens the door for you. “Have fun, love.”

You nod in acknowledgement and smile again. “See you later, Soo.”

And with that you exit your apartment, feeling forlorn at ever being able to love Kyungsoo.

___________

Kyungsoo watches from your doorway as you leave, his heart feeling heavy in his chest. Unlike you, who realized how you felt only about a week ago, Kyungsoo here has been keeping everything hidden and suppressed inside of him for about two and a half years. It hurt to see you with someone else, especially if that person was Chanyeol. He was always a bit jealous of Chanyeol. Who wouldn’t be? Chanyeol is tall, obviously attractive, with a charismatic personality and multi-talented. He’s everything Kyungsoo thinks he’s not. And now, he has you.

He sighs and steps out of your apartment, closing the door behind him. He feels as though he’s officially lost you. He knows you’ll still be there, but only as a friend, and not as his partner for life. But that role has been taken by Chanyeol.

Chanyeol. Why him? It still makes Kyungsoo angry (which might be spurred by the jealousy, but y’know) and he still doesn’t know why Chanyeol would ever go for you. Is he even really your type? You like cats, and Chanyeol likes dogs. There you go. Pure, scientific evidence why you two would be terrible together. It just wouldn’t work. Sure, Kyungsoo knows you also love dogs, but he knows for a fact that you’ve always wanted a cat. Kyungsoo groans.

Why was he just sitting around and not trying to tell you how he feels? He knows all he’s done really is ask why you chose Chanyeol, but your responses were all vague and didn’t sound right to him. It all sounded like you were hiding something. Was Chanyeol somehow blackmailing you to go out with him? That bastard.

He tries to think back to the restaurant you were going to. Danielle… sounds fancy, that’s for sure. He thinks he might as well go and check out this place for himself. He does, after all, have a cooking hobby, and checking out restaurants that are supposed to have good food is kind of part of that hobby. And what’s the harm in checking in on your date?

On the bus to the restaurant, Kyungsoo tries to convince himself that what he’s doing is totally normal. Best friends check in on each other’s dates all the time, right? It’s totally normal to not trust or like your best friend’s potential suitor, right? Completely normal to hate the idea of your best friend leaving you for someone else, right? Yeah, completely, 100% normal.

The restaurant is certainly fancy, he admits when he gets there. It’s big, with about three stories. Tall windows line the edge of the building, giving passerby’s a perfect view directly into the elegant restaurant. And that’s exactly what it gives Kyungsoo. A perfect view of you and Chanyeol laughing together.

He’s sat across from you, with your back to the window. You’re obviously laughing and having a nice time with Chanyeol as he cracks another joke. Kyungsoo’s heart starts cracking in his chest. So…so this is actually happening you’re actually with Chanyeol. He hates to admit it, you two make a beautiful couple. You’re both free-spirited and kind people.

His heart officially shatters when he sees Chanyeol bring out a box, probably holding a ring or a necklace. He can’t watch it anymore. So he runs. He turns and runs away, not even knowing where his feet are taking him. He told himself he was just there to check out the cooking, but how could he even do that if you’re there with Chanyeol? Having a wonderful time, laughing and…and being in love. He was lying to himself. He didn’t go there to scope out the cooking. He went there to see if you were actually, truly serious. And after a week of thinking that it was impossible that you could ever consider Chanyeol as a potential suitor, he found himself wrong. That’s it. You and Chanyeol…that was actually happening. And Kyungsoo can’t do anything to ruin that. You’re happy with him. And if you’re happy, then he’s happy.

Actually, no he’s not happy. He hates how he feels. Hating Chanyeol even more, feeling selfish for you, and despising himself even more. It sucks.

He finds himself outside of your apartment with his phone out. He slides down the wall beside your door and pulls up Chanyeol’s number. The more he thought of you moving on, leaving Kyungsoo behind, marrying Chanyeol, having four children, with three dogs and living in the suburbs, far from Kyungsoo, the more angry he got. Chanyeol didn’t deserve you. You were too good for him, too pure. Chanyeol would never deserve you.

In a spur of anger, Kyungsoo texts Chanyeol.

Get your ass to work. There’s a problem with the photos and apparently you’re the only one who can fix them. And yes, they even called me in. Not my fault.

Kyungsoo reads what he sent over and over again. A few seconds later, it was read. Fuck. Oh he fucked up. He totally fucked up. He ruined your date. All because of his damn conflicting feelings. Fuck. He knew he ruined your nice date. He ruined it he ruined it. You’re going to hate him now. Fuck, you’re going to totally hate him once you learn that the text was a lie.

He groans and starts hitting his head on the wall. Oh, he totally fucked up.

___________

Chanyeol’s phone buzzes and he looks at it. Then laughs.

“What is it?” you ask, spearing a mushroom on your fork.

He laughs again. “Our poor Kyungsoo just texted me, saying there was an emergency with the photos at work. He told me to ‘get my ass to work.’”

“Well then?” You inquire. “Aren’t you gonna go?”

Chanyeol looks at you. “Honey, there is most certainly no emergency at work. We had already submitted the pictures today, I think. Kyungsoo’s just being a little jealous shit, that’s all.”

You roll your eyes. “Sure, buddy. I still think you should go just in case, though. What if he wasn’t kidding?”

“I’m fairly certain he just wants to get me away from you,” Chanyeol says. “But if you insist, I’ll actually go check. Do you need a ride back?”

“Nah,” you say, signaling for the check. “I think I’m good.”

“You sure?” He asks. “I thought it was supposed to rain tonight.”

“I think I can get home in time, before it starts pouring.”

Chanyeol shrugs. “Or, you could just call your prince charming and get him-”

“I can get home in time, Chanyeol,” you insist as the check arrives and you thank the waiter. “I’ll be fine. Just go.”

“Okay, fine,” he says and takes out his credit card. “But just saying this dinner’s on me.”

“Fine by me, bud.”

Chanyeol leaves after he gets his card back, saying something like, “Go get ‘em tiger,” or something cliche like that. You decide to finish your pasta before leaving. They make some damn good pasta here, so of course you’re going to finish every last bit of it. It’s got pesto that you love with sautéed mushrooms and grilled chicken. Damn, it’s some good stuff. Seriously.

By the time you finish, you come to the conclusion that you were wrong. It is raining outside. And it seems like it’s raining hard. You groan in frustration. Of course it’s raining. You had thought that it would at least wait until you got home, but nope. Rain waits for no one.

You end up taking a cab home, not wanting to go onto a bus in such fancy attire. Regardless, as you get out of the taxi, you get quite soaked, even in the few seconds that you’re outside. Your dress is quite soaked, and with the slight breeze and chill air conditioner inside, you’re getting cold quickly, so you try to make it to your apartment before you catch hypothermia or something.

The elevator ride is awkward, especially when a businessman walks into the elevator with you, making you feel quite awkward with your soaking wet self and his tailored suit. When you get to your floor, you quickly exit the elevator and take off your heals to jog to your door.

What’s sitting outside of your door though, that’s what surprises you. Kyungsoo is sitting outside your apartment, knees tucked up to his chest and his head resting on his arms on his knees. He looks like he’s been sleeping as you approach him, his eyes opening slightly too look at you. Immediately, he jumps up and swallows, blinking the sleep from his eyes.

“You-you’re back,” he says, shaking his head to help wake him up.

“I thought there was a problem at work?” you ask, moving around him to open your door.

“You’re soaking wet!”

You glare at him as he follows you into your apartment. “Thanks for stating the obvious, buddy. But what about the emergency at work?”

His face turns red. “Well, that-that was not technically a–”

You spin around to look at him. “Are you telling me that I got soaking wet because there wasn’t actually an emergency? Come on, Kyungsoo. I was having a great time with him, why would you–”

“Because I want you to be having a great time with me, not him!”

Your heart stops. “Soo, I do have a great time with you, all the time, whenever I’m with you.”

“Then why are you with him then? Huh? If you’re always spending your time with him, how are you sure that you have a great time with me?”

You hesitate before responding. “Because Chanyeol likes me romantically not just platonically! I’m tired to being single! I actually want to date someone now, and Chanyeol is–”

“I want to date you too!” Kyungsoo exclaims. Your brain officially stops working. You open your mouth to respond but he beats you to it. “I want to date you. I want to be there for you. I want to be the one who you want to spend all your time with. I want to be able to hold you, and kiss you. I can love you romantically, I do love you romantically. I love you in every way possible, okay? I just want to be that person for you! I can be that person for you, so why are you with him? Tell me why please!” He looks serious.

You can only stare at him, mouth gaping. “Are you–”

Kyungsoo groans in frustration, running his hands through his hair. “I just fucked everything up, didn’t I? Fuck, I’m so sorry. You’ll probably never want to see me again. God, I’m so sorry (Y/N). Please just forget I said anything. I’m so so sorry. I’ll leave now.”

“Don’t you fucking move, Do Kyungsoo.” Your voice is firm and he freezes. He’s already turned around away from you. There is no way in hell you’d ever think that he would be standing in front of you, telling you the words you thought were impossible. Obviously, you were wrong. He’s there, and he’s telling you those words.

“You love me?” you ask tentatively. “Like you actually, really love me?”

Kyungsoo takes a deep breath before answering, still not facing you. “I do.”

A giant grin comes over your face, and you leap onto his back, kissing his cheek. He yelps in surprise, grabbing at your arms on instinct. You wrap your legs around his waist and hug him like a koala.

“You’re fucking stupid,” you say. “I love you too, penguin-man. I love everything about you. I fucking love your cooking, and the fact that you have penguin boxers. I love how you make sure I’m okay when I’m sick and I love how you make sure I remember to eat. I just really fucking love you, okay?”

Kyungsoo laughs happily, turning his head to try to look at you. “Are you serious?”

“Yes, I’m fucking serious, Soo!”

He stares into your eyes, his sparkling ones looking deep into your own. “Can I kiss you?”

You nod excitedly. Kyungsoo swoops in, placing a soft kiss on your lips before pulling away. He grins and you jump off of his back so he can kiss you again, properly this time.

“I can still kiss you right,” he says, pulling you close to him and wrapping his arms around your waist.

“Yes, yes you can,” you say grinning, pulling him down for another kiss.

A/N: So that’s that! I hope it was good, please let me know! I really want to know if it’s good or not. I literally spent like a week writing this thing, so that’s why it’s so long. Thanks for reading it, and please let me know what you guys think! I’ll try to write more often now, okay? Have a lovely day!

“Does it look like I’m awake?” A small tuft of black fluffy hair and the tired, irritated face of its owner could be seen from a teensiest of holes that breached his fortress.

Jack has been working at the desk next to Eric Bittle’s for the better part of three months now.

Over those three months, he’s become quite acquainted with the character of his blonde neighbor. He’s now familiar with his small, lithe frame, is quite aware that he can fold his legs into a pretzel even in his swivel chair, and knows when he’s approaching by the scent of butter and sickeningly sweet coffee. He’s well acquainted with his warm Southern tendencies, the subtle drawl over his vowels and the abundant y’alls in every sentence. He knows he always places his coffee to his left, though he’s right handed, he likes to write schedules and reminders on sticky notes that fall off of his computer screen and onto Jack’s own desk every-so-often, and that he has a soft spot for Chris Chow, the intern he’s been supervising these past few weeks. He’s even vaguely aware of his amazing pie skills, having tasted some of his baked goods because oh, no, Mr. Zimmermann, you haven’t lived until you’ve tried this, and because they’re ever-present in the snack room beside the plethora of cereals. And also because Eric Bittle has become somewhat of a Youtube celebrity, and everybody and their grandmother knew he was a pie-making prodigy.

God knows why he was placed next to Bittle in the first place. Sure, they were both executive video producers for Tasty—Jack for much longer than him, for sure—but Jack very much preferred to stay behind the camera while Bittle was usually in front of it. Jack mostly liked to keep to himself, anyway, and if he worked in teams, it was usually with Shitty or Lardo on the more artistically demanding videos. They’d been at brainstorms together, almost every other week, really, but never really collaborated on anything. There was also the glaring fact that Bittle tended to mindlessly chatter, and Jack was practically allergic to any and all forms of small talk. Most days, he was just grateful Bittle was so busy, he rarely spent long hours at his own desk.

But he and Bittle sat next to each other everyday, give or take, usually minding their own business, sometimes idly chatting about the new series coming out or their co-workers, with Bittle occasionally shooting him a warm smile and Jack answering it with a trying-hard-to-be-a-smile grimace. They’ve never once been assigned to same project, and Jack isn’t really sure if he’s relieved or dismayed, but he tries not to think about it too hard.

That is… Well. That’s all until one Thursday morning in November.

From the Stairs to the Stars

Character: Prince Adam

Prompt: (None)

“It happened again.” You heard the boisterous voice of your prince call as he entered the library.

You were currently sifting through the hundreds of titles and cleaning them of the dust, choosing which ones would stay and which ones would have to be replaced due to the wear.

“What’s happened?” You asked as you were seated upon the tall wooden ladder.

“My father.” Came his simple response, eliciting a long sigh to escape from you.

The young prince often found himself wrapped in conflicts where his father was concerned, wither it was arguing over the various new ways they planned to tax the town’s people or on the prospect of him finding a wife, despite his young age.

“What was it about this time?” You asked him, leaning over to find him already looking up at you.

You could faintly hear his tired groan as he perched himself on the lower steps. “It was the wife situation again this time, he insisted that I choose soon.”

“Perhaps he’s ill? That could explain why he’s in a hurry for you to find a wife and produce more heirs.” You said, running your finger along the swirly font of the book titles.

“Oh please, never mention my having children with a total stranger ever again,” Adam said as he looked back up at you. “And would you please come down? I feel rather silly talking like this.”

“If my prince commands.” You said with a faint laugh as you started to descend down the ladder.

Prince had stepped back a few paces so as to give you the space, but it was a high height and he kept his eye on you the whole time to make sure you weren’t in harms way.

He smiled whenever you turned around and held out his arms. “See? Isn’t that better.”

Your gazes met and you couldn’t help but laugh at the silly powdered wig he was wearing. “Blue ribbons and braids this time?” You said with a giggle as you lightly yanked on one of the pale curls at the back of the wig. “What’s next? A little sailboat?”

Even with the heavily applied rogue you could tell Adam was blushing as he yanked off the wig. You could see minuscule specs of powder flitter in the light of the libraries.

“Making fun of your crown prince? I could have you sent to prison.” He threatened, but you saw the teasing smile stretch across his painted face.

“Yes, you very well could,” You admitted, turning around and picking up on of the books from the tables. “But then who would you have as a companion?”

You father was the current court physician, he spent most of his days inside his chambers in the castle and developing his various cures and drafts to help with whatever the royal family needed.

Because of this and your mother’s position in the household as well, you were a permanent resident at the castle, and the Prince’s oldest friend.

You were there for Adam when his father denied him any form of comfort after his mother passed away, and for that he remained your loyal friend.

“Once again, you have managed to outwit me,” Adam mused as he plucked the book from your grasp, setting it aside and grabbing onto your hands. “Come along, I have something very special to show you.”

“How ominous, should I be worried?” You asked, letting his lead you out of the library and down the absolute maze of hallways that made up the castle interior.

“I shouldn’t think so, after all you are in very capable hands.” Adam said, looking over his shoulder and giving you a short smile.

“Am I allowed to ask where the Prince is taking me?” You inquired as the two of you walked on, you had lost count of the amount of turns you had made.

“No you way not, it’s supposed to be a surprise,” He said, taking a few more steps before he stopped and looked around. “Just through here.”

You watched him pull pack a tan linen sheet to reveal a marble stairway. “I’ve never seen this before?” You thought aloud, ducking under his arm to gaze up at the spiraling steps.

“That’s because it’s a new renovation to the castle,” Prince Adam told you, taking the lead once again and reaching back to grasp onto your hand. “You’ll understand once you see it.”

Without much to go on you simply hummed in agreement and started up the steps, keeping your gaze forward.

You didn’t realize how far ahead you had gone from Adam until you heard him calling out for you. “Now hold on a moment! You’re going far to fast for me.”

You smiled and waited for him. “Can’t keep up with me? And I thought all the dances you attend would help with your fitness.”

Adam attempted to look offended, but you could tell by the look in his eyes that you had him bested again. “Hush now, we’re close to the surprise.”

The stairs ended and revealed a tall wooden door, you watched as Adam took a key from inside his coat and unlatch the door, holding it open for you to go in first.

Upon entering you were greeting with a large empty room shaped in a circle, large marble pillars lined the sides of wall and you could see small golden decorations placed throughout. But what could your eye the most was the glass dome letting in all of the afternoon sunlight, making the painting on the floor stand out.

“What is this place?” You asked him, venturing to the room’s center and leaning down on the ground to gaze at the painting.

“Well for now it’s not really much of anything,” Adam answered, and you could hear is heeled shoes clack against the floor as he walked towards you. “But I hope to make it an astronomy tower, take my studies a bit more in depth if you will”

Your ears perked up at the mention of astronomy and Prince Adam could help but smile, he was most keen to see your reaction to his plans.

“You’re being serious?”

Adam held out his hands for you take, still keeping his large grin. “Of course, most of it was inspired by you though,” He explained, tracing small patterns in the palm of your hand as he kept his gaze off you. “I know how much you love the stars and I hoped this could become a place for the two of us to share.”

“That’s wonderful!” You said, removing your hand from his grasp only to pull him into a hug.

He pulled back enough to get a look at your face. “So you like it?”

“You must be joking? I love it!” You said, bursting out in another fit of laughs as you pulled him in again. “This is one of the nicest thing anyone has ever done for me.”

Adam looked at you and brushed a stay hair from your face. “Well I am most pleased that you like it so much.”

The little prince wasn’t sure when it happened, but long ago he had stopped seeing you merely as the friend who was there for him after his mother, and instead as the only companion he could ever desire to share his life with.

He had planned to tell you of his feelings after showing you the tower he made specifically for you, but seeing your eyes shine from the happiness you felt and how you seemed fixated on the room made him hold back telling you.

At least for now.
