Before we shout “no more man movies!” after seeing Wonder Woman, don’t forget men of color don’t have a lot of representation either. So supporting Aquaman, Black Pather, Cyborg, and Miles Morales movies does not make you less feminist.
I LOVE THE NEW OMAKE AND ITS UNEXPECTED KACCHAKO VIBES
Like the way Bakugou turns around and is ready to beat the shit out of whoever is behind him
And is shook when he sees it’s Uraraka (he still swears at her cuz that’s just who he is, but still)
^^ Also the fact that Uraraka knows Bakugou’s looking for Midoriya without him having to say so
AND THE FACT THAT SHE CAN SENSE HIS FUCKING BAKURAGE AURA
(I guess it’s pretty hard to miss but SHHHH LET ME HAVE MY MOMENT)
Bakugou can’t hurt her with his stank attitude:
SHE AIN’T GOING ANYWHERE Y’ALL
AND SHE CALLS HIM COOL:
(Note that the speech bubbles have a black background, which usually happens in manga when those words are important to someone.)
AND I CAN’T REMEMBER ANYONE ELSE STRAIGHT UP TELLING BAKUGOU TO HIS FACE THAT THEY THINK HE’S COOL (It’s probably happened before like with Kirishima or somebody but I seriously can’t remember it happening).
SHE UNDERSTANDS HIM
AND HER GENUINE, CARING EYES
AND HIS FACE AS SHE’S TALKING TO HIM
And after the whole thing’s over, she’s all like,
And even though he’s perpetually an angry shit, her words still made Bakugou calm down:
Why yes I did spend the entire Saturday Drawing Aizawas. His man bun in the latest chapter though… I thought he might be a character who covers their face with their hair no matter what but he actually sees the effort to look nice for the parents. uvu
fuck like… there was a female superhero-led movie that actually showed a complex and dynamic, not overly sexualised woman. hell, women. lots of kickass amazing diverse women. and now we’re getting a whole movie of mostly black characters next year with an entire guard force made up of awesome kickass women. like i know there’s a long ass way to go towards equal representation but jfc am i emotional over this!! honestly this would never have happened back when i was growing up but now kids these days get to go to the cinema and see this shit and it’s so wonderful i want to cry
“They always insinuate that it’s a quirk fit
for a villain. But I’m used to it now. It’s inevitable, society being the way
it is.” It was really only a matter of time before Shinsou Hitoshi changed sides. (Minor manga spoilers)
layer of haze hung suspended in the room of the abandoned factory. Dirt swirled through the air, displaced from cracked
floor tiles and decaying furniture by the four people who entered and spaced
themselves evenly throughout. A coating of filth clung to the
lightbulbs, rendering their light weak and nearly
useless. Motes shifted in the blue-white glare
of a television propped in the corner, the brightest source of illumination in
the room. The very air tasted of dust.
It wasn’t the cleanest place the Villain Alliance could
have claimed as a meeting place, Shigaraki reflected, scratching at his neck. But it was convenient. And he wasn’t
stupid enough to bring an untested recruit to their main hideout. They were too
low on members to risk any of them needlessly.
then, that’s what made a new recruit so valuable. And this one in particular…
gazed at the purple-haired teen in satisfaction.
yes. This one could could be exactly the kind of asset they needed. It was just a pity his joining their side had
coincided with such commotion.
Shinsou was staring wordlessly at the news channel displayed on the TV, his
arms crossed over his chest. A banner scrolled along the bottom of the screen,
screaming in bold white letters on a brilliant red background:
HIGH STUDENT SHINSOU HITOSHI SPOTTED FLEEING SCENE WITH VILLAIN ALLIANCE
