As the world’s leading expert on Peggy Olson’s facial expressions, it is fascinating to track her development. In Season 1, she’s an extremely internal character who mostly expresses emotion through her eyes. Throughout the show, she becomes more and more physical and expressive, not just through her face but her body as well.
Here’s Peggy in one of her final scenes, going through like 50 emotions in 4 minutes.
Peggy Olson is my favourite fictional character, not just because she’s extremely #relatable, but because she’s so well-written, well-acted, well-directed etc, she not only seems like a completely different human being by the end of the show, the change is done so subtly and gradually you don’t even notice it at first.
The moment Peggy became my fave was when I rewatched the pilot around the time Season 7 was airing. While everyone changed over the course of the series, Peggy was so jarringly different she didn’t even seem like the same character.
