and this is what i do instead of my homework

k9effect  asked:

My procrastination has gotten so bad that I just don't do what I have to do and watch YouTube or something. It's the reason I started leaning Spanish. Cause I'd rather learn a language than do homework/assignments (and it's fine, I'm home now so it's all good)

i write fics instead of studying ¯\_(ツ)_/¯  so i feel you dude

me doing homework:

  • pees
  • checks fridge
  • drinks water
  • *looks at clock*
  • “i still have plenty of time”
  • scrolls tumblr
  • opens youtube for relaxing music-
  • then finding myself watching cute cats and dogs
  • opens new tab to finally start homework but instead types tumblr.com
  • “i need a 15 min break i deserve this”
  • *30 mins after, still scrolling through my dash*
  • *staring at the wall trying to find the answers
  • but ends up thinking what i’ll eat next*
  • *looks around trying to find someone to blame for my life*
  • *does something irrelevant*
  • “im so tired!!!“
  • *sleeps*
  • *wakes to pee*
  • *looks at clock*
  • *cries*

thoughts, feelings, y’know that sorta thing

edit 2: this is a post about bipolar disorder, made by me, an artist with bipolar disorder, strictly for other people with bipolar disorder. stop tagging it for unipolar depression, anxiety, bpd, psychosis, or anything else (those are just the most used tags on this) because it’s not about those. even if you think you can relate, tagging this as anything other than bipolar disorder is stripping my meaning away from my work, and invalidating my feelings as a mentally ill person AND an artist. stop doing that.

edit 3: do NOT put this on gore/guro blogs. thanks.

Is That a Yes?

Because it’s almost Valentine’s Day, I wrote a thing.

Hanzo tilted his head, staring at the slim box McCree had shoved into his hands before he could even say hello. He found himself confused for a moment as he tried to think of a reason for the cowboy to be bringing him a gift before recalling the date. He bit the inside of his lip before looking up to meet McCree’s eyes. “I did not get you anything.”

Okay are you guys ready for this I’m gonna do some in depth analysis of Gaston’s character and what I think about him, introducing my own headcanons, so this isn’t 10/10 the only reading of Gaston’s character of course. I want to believe in a Gaston redemption arc, so if you hate Gaston (and rightfully so!) you might not be super interested or agree with much of what I’m gonna say. (well, maybe this post you’ll agree with, it’s pretty much all Gaston bashing lol)

Midway through writing this I realized I have SO much more to say than I realized so I’m actually going to make three separate posts.

  1. Gaston and how/why he’s a villain
  2. Gaston and Lefou’s Relationship
  3. Gaston and The Beast: Why Gaston should get a redemption arc

This one is:

Gaston and how/why he’s a villain

Originally posted by talesasoldastime29

Gaston headcanons include, he isn’t narcissistic as much as he is simply confident. He’s headstrong, in it for his own purposes and gains, and is sort of an anti-hero. By no means is he the “good guy” of anything. I just think he’s a really interesting and complex character, a lot of fun to analyse, watch, and write about!

Alright so I’m going to break this up into Pre-movie, movie (three parts in this one)

Pre-movie

So for this part, I’m going to be referencing Luke Evan’s comments on Gaston’s backstory! So Luke Evan’s said that Gaston is ex-army captain, and saved the village from some Portuguese mauraders, which is why everyone respects him so much, and Lefou fought alongside with him which explains his loyalty.

Movie

So! Gaston is a pretty okay dude so far, right? Saved the town from some bad guys. I like to think there are three turning points in Gaston’s character, sort of like three 60 degree turns until he goes 180.

  • 1. He sees Belle.

Originally posted by luuuuuke-evans

Gaston is obsessed with Belle for one reason: her beauty. To him, nothing else matters. Up until this point he was working in military standards, helping further society in that way, contributing to the town as he may, and he was as likable as anyone else in the town. He’s not a bad guy right now. (This is starkly contrast with the 1991 version where Gaston is just an awful dude all the way around and has zero redeemable qualities.)

But suddenly, he sees a girl, and his goals change from contributing to society to taking her as his wife.

  • 2. Belle refuses him

Originally posted by iamobsessedwiththings

Gaston has likely never encountered this, not being able to have what he wants. Everywhere he goes, he’s glorified, and now when he finally wants a girl to like him, she doesn’t? This is where he starts to go sour.

You can see he wasn’t already a bad person because he doesn’t immediately get upset when she says no. He just goes, “Busy?” and then goes whoops oh well I’ll try again. This doesn’t exactly scream “villain” imo.

The thing that does start to hint villain is when he approaches her again, and again, is turned down. This time he grabs her dress and tries to follow her into her home- this is creepy just gotta say.

And after this, everything he does is centered around her and his obsession with taking her- this isn’t good guys, like this is creepy and bad and just not okay. You shouldn’t want a girl to the point where you want to own her. That’s what Gaston wants. That’s why he’s bad.

  • 3. Maurice refuses him

And finally the serious turning point is Maurice refusing him. He tells Gaston he will never marry Belle, and this is important because in the time period, you couldn’t marry a girl without her father’s say-so. It’s not just a silly “oh well father doesn’t want it but i’ll do it anyway” nah son it just can’t be done

At this point, Gaston doesn’t know how to deal with rejection (having never been rejected to such an extent before) he relapses to the last thing he does remember dealing with: war.

Now Gaston is pretty delusional at this point, they’ve been traveling through the forest probably for days, Maurice has been ranting about the castle and magic and all this stuff Gaston doesn’t give a shit about- he’s already short-tempered. And on top of it all, Maurice poses a threat to the one thing he wants: possession of Belle. And so, he seeks to eliminate the threat.

Even Lefou notices it at this point (and we’ll talk about that in the next post I make) and tries to talk Gaston out of it. This is when Gaston sets himself apart from everyone else. It’s the final point in his character arc where he’s full-out villain.

And the rest just goes downhill from there.

From there he betrays his dearest and oldest friend, turns the entire village against someone that isn’t a threat, and tries to commit murder and for what? A blind grasp for a woman that explicitly doesn’t want him. This is why he’s a villain, he doesn’t listen to what other people have to say, doesn’t value their opinions, has no sense of loyalty, and acts impulsively for his own wants and desires.

But as I’ll talk about in a different post, I think he can learn to be better.

Bullet Journal Quotes

Since my planner starts July 2016 and ends July 2017 I’ve been using it as a bullet journal for the summer until I start school again next week. I’ve been writing quotes, tips and odd bits of information in the space for each day instead of homework. Now it’s the end of summer I have collected a lot of quotes that I hope you guys might like. things i wish i could tell my parents

you tell me that i should have an idea of what i want to do with my life, then crush my dreams when i finally figure it out.

you tell me that i should love myself, then insult me with everything you have when i screw up.

you tell me that i should be happy with my body and then tell me that i’m only “not hungry” because i’m trying to lose weight.

you tell me to love the way i look but try and get me to wear makeup and change the way i look.

you tell me to be accepting and love everyone but shun me when i have friends that aren’t the same race, gender, or sexuality as me.

you tell me to use my words but then call me weird for expressing myself with words on paper instead of verbally.

you tell my to speak up but you never listen.

you tell me to be patient when you have no idea how to be patient with your own children.

you tell me you don’t have favorites but then force me to stop doing my homework to cook while my brother who is failing all his classes wastes his life away on video games.

you tell me to make sure my brothers do the right thing but then turn a blind eye when they’re not.

you tell me that making money matters more than being happy with what i want to do when you’re not only broke, but unhappy.

you tell me that i’m only human, that i’m not perfect, and that i need to calm my “ego”, when you make me feel worthless for being human and making mistakes.

you tell me to lose weight even though i’m the only one in the family within the “healthy” weight range.

you tell me to smile but all i see is a frown mirrored on your face.

you tell me that anger is not good for me when you get angry over the simplest things, causing me to be angry as well.

you tell me that depression will get me locked up in a mental hospital but you do nothing to help me.

you tell me that you love me but you show it in ways that are abnormal. in ways that make me feel like i don’t belong.

i see all of these posts about how you should “love your parents” and “treat them right”, but what about posts for people with toxic parents and family? i do love my parents, i do. and when i’m rich and successful i’m going to be the one taking care of them.

please, if you feel like your parents REFUSE to understand you (not that they don’t understand you) talk to someone. your voice deserves to be heard. and if it won’t be by your parents, let it be by someone who wants, who demands to hear your glorious voice.

Gift Swap

Dex sucks at poetry. He has never written a poem before other than in like, 6th grade English class, and that is not an experience he wants to revisit. Dex has never been great at words, and writing code is usually the only writing he likes to do. He likes machines because they don’t try to talk to you. He understands machines and how they work and what they need. Poetry, not so much. He doesn’t get why some poems rhyme and some don’t, and why they need metaphors. Some poems just make no fucking sense to him, and why the hell do they have to be all convoluted? But he always likes the poems that Nursey writes for him. Nursey gave everything he had into his poetry, and you could tell. Dex would often roll his eyes whenever Nursey read a poem to him, but that was mainly just to annoy Nursey, because he secretly could listen to Nursey read his poetry all day. So for their anniversary, Dex decides to write Nursey a poem for a change. He sits down at his desk for a few hours, and in the end it’s clunky and made of random bits and pieces, but he thinks about the poem like a machine that he’s trying to put together.

Nursey is at a loss of what to get Dex for their anniversary. He thinks about writing Dex a poem, but he writes Dex poems all the time, so he wants to do something new and different. Nursey saw writing as creating something with your hands, so he decides to try to be creative in another way: by trying to build something for Dex. Nursey knows that he’s clumsy as all hell and is no good with a toolkit, but he wants to make something for Dex anyway. He thinks Dex will appreciate it, it’ll show that he actually does pay attention when Dex talks about mechanics and building shit (even though Nursey likes to pretend that he doesn’t pay attention just to piss off Dex). He decides to make him one of those mini desks that people use in bed to do their homework, because honestly Dex gets way too stressed out while he’s doing homework and needs to chill more, so doing homework in bed might help. Nursey goes to Home Depot and definitely buys some of the wrong tools after like two hours of wandering around aimlessly, but eventually he gets what he needs. The next day, while Dex is in class, Nursey sits in the basement of the Haus and works on building the mini desk. In the end, he only injures himself twice, and the desk is a little lopsided, but he hopes Dex will like the creativity and passion he puts into it. Nursey thinks about all of the words that Dex will write on the desk, and it makes him happy.

Nursey can’t believe that his boyfriend wrote him a fucking poem, can’t believe how much he loves this stupid boy and his red hair and mechanic’s hands. He can’t stop reading the poem, and after a day he’s memorized it. He pins it up over his desk so he can look at it whenever he’s writing.

Dex stares at the mini desk, and almost can’t believe it. Nursey made this? The desk is made from sturdy wood and even though it was a little lopsided, it was exactly what he needed for his homework. Perfectly imperfect, just like them. Dex can’t stop smiling, and can’t remember the last time he smiled this much.

You’re a Nerd

Pairing: George x Reader
Request(s):

  • I’ve noticed that you write a lot of Fred imagines so I was wondering if you could do one with George. I don’t really care what, just something cute with him being overprotective 😊 thanks!!
  • George needs more love :(( I LOVE FRED TOO BUT GEORGE IS BAE. By the way, LOVE YOUR WORK! Makes me giddy inside hehehe

A/N: I didn’t realise how much I wrote about Fred until I went through my Masterlist! Also, I really wanted to write an Imagine talking about why on earth do these kids keep complaining about their homework?? You are at a magic school with magic classes and magic, if only they knew how much we wished we could go there instead!
Squicks: None

You woke up to the whole room spinning, your head pounding as the light from outside filled the girl’s dormitory. You let out a groan of disgust, your throat dry and your nose as stuffed as ever.

“Common cold, nothing too severe,” Madam Pomfrey declared. It was Tuesday morning and you were currently missing out on your favourite class, Transfiguration, which started about 20 minutes ago. “Here, take this and you should be feeling better in no time,” the small woman said, handing you a little cup filled with deep purple liquid. “I bet you wished you could’ve gotten out of class with that one!”

“No way, Madam Pomfrey,” you said truthfully once you had downed the thick medicine, “That’s why I came here, I was hoping to head off to class now actually,”

Madam Pomfrey looked at you with a quizzical expression, not sure if she entirely believed that a student was actually looking forward to going to class,

“Well alright… Off you go then,” she said, nodding her head to the door.

~~~~
You walked into McGonagall’s classroom as she had her back turned to the door, writing quickly on the blackboard. She turned around to see who was going to be interrupting her lesson, not expecting a student to be arriving so late.
“Oh, Y/n…” she started, putting her chalk down on her desk, “You do realise that you’re more than half an hour late?”
“Sorry Professor McGonagall,” you apologise, “I was seeing Madam Pomfrey”.
McGonagall let out a sigh, “alright, talk to me after class”.
~~~~

The bell rung throughout the castle, allowing everyone to get up out of their seats and pack up their things. Not for you though. You stayed where you were, watching everyone try to fit through the doorway at once, desperate to get out of class.

You had never been told to stay back before, and even though you knew you weren’t in trouble, you still didn’t like the feeling. Academic wise, you were up there with the likes of Hermione Granger. You may not know all the answers as well as she does, but you were always passionate about the topics you were learning.

You weren’t the only one staying back, however. Fred and George Weasley had also been told to stay back, this time for having set off a small explosion of some sort. Whatever it was, it had apparently ended up with one hundred tiny rubber balls bouncing rapidly around the classroom.

“I’ll deal with you two in a minute,” McGonagall warned, causing them to break away from their conversation, unfazed by the fact that they were being kept back, again.

“Now, Y/n,” she started, “You said you were up in the hospital wing, is that correct?”

“Yes, I woke up with a cold and she gave me something to cure it, so I came to class as soon as I could,” you replied.

McGonagall looked at you for a bit and gave a small smile, “Not many students would be willing to come back to class once they’ve been given an excuse to get out of it, isn’t that right boys?” she said looking over at the twins who were back to talking again, this comment however shutting them up.

“Yeah, I don’t get that, Professor,” you replied, McGonagall giving you a look as if asking you to continue.

“Well, we’re at a school that practices magic, I don’t get why anyone would not want to come to classes,” you say as if it were obvious, “Our assignments are about turning hedgehogs into pincushions, and how to summon objects, and making antidotes and poisons, how could anyone not find that interesting?”

You hear one of the twins scoff from the seat beside you, but you weren’t done yet.

“I don’t know… as a Muggle, magic is only a thing you hear about in stories, with fairies and superheroes and all that, and it all sounds so amazing and wonderful, but that’s all they are; stories… and just when you’re getting to the age where you’re starting to understand that those things aren’t real, you get a letter telling you that it is all real, and I just can’t understand how people can complain about having homework about magic!”

While the smile on McGonagall’s face was warm and proud of how passionate you were about school, you didn’t even want to look at Fred and George, who were sure to be thinking about how much of a teacher’s pet you were. Almost everyone else in this school thought that anyway…

“Alright Y/n, I’ll let you off on this one,” McGonagall said, placing a hand on your shoulder, “as for you two…”

~~~~
“Hey, wait up!” you hear someone call out after you.
You turn around to see George Weasley weaving in and out of people in the crowded passageway outside of the Grand Hall to catch up with you.
“McGonagall finally let you out, I see?” you smile,
George chuckled, “Yeah, I think we’re growing on her… Hey, listen, about everything you said before—“
“Oh, don’t even say it, I’m a huge nerd for being so obsessed with classes, I know,” you laugh, but you were being truthful in thinking that that’s what George and his brother thought of you.
“Actually, no, it makes a whole lot of sense,” George admits, to your surprise, “We’ve always had magic so we don’t really take note of how cool it really is, so it actually makes sense that you’d want to come to class and stuff, since it’s so different from not having it your whole life,”
“Wow, I didn’t expect you to see it that way at all,” you laugh with surprise and amazement,
“Well, Fred probably doesn’t see it the exact same way, but I get it. You’re special, you know that? I wouldn’t mind getting to know you better, if you can fit me in anywhere with that busy homework schedule you must have,”
You return his same cheeky grin that he was giving you, “I think I could move some things around for you, George Weasley,”
“Excellent, I’ll be seeing you around then, yeah?” he says with a wink, walking into the Great Hall, leaving you standing there dumbfounded. Who would’ve thought that George Weasley would fall for a nerd like you.
