Request: Anonymous - Hey I just got an idea for u for an imagine. Now if ur to busy to do it that’s cool I don’t want to stress u out with a whole bunch of imagines, but maybe a tom holland one where you’re dating and people don’t understand why because ur like polar opposites. ( btw ur imagines are some of the best I have read keep up the good work 😁😊❤️ )
Warnings: Fluff, feeling uneasy
Word Count: 1,298
Pairing: Tom Holland x Reader
A/N: Hope you guys liked it. More stuff will be posted soon. :)
To most people if they saw you and Tom together, they’d stop and question you because you two are completely different. Nothing alike. See but that’s the thing, being polar opposites is what makes your relationship unique. You and Tom have more ways to expand on it and get different ideas from each other. Sure it bother’s you when a total stranger comments on your love life, but you never let it bother you, neither does Tom.
“Mmmm morning love” Toms morning voice was honestly one of your guilty pleasures. There was something about it that made it seem sexy.
“Morning” You fluttered your eyes open to see the sight of the man you love laying next to you. It was the best part of waking up in your opinion.
“So what’s our plan for today?” He pulled you closer to his chest.
“I thought we could just stay here forever” You cuddled against him.
“And waste a perfectly good day” He laughed.
“Yeah” You nodded.
“As great as that sounds we have to get ready for work love” He kissed your temple. You sighed. “Fine”.
The both of you got up and proceeded with your daily morning routines. Nothing the two of you did was the same. One of you would have tea while the other one would have coffee in the mornings. It almost amazed people how you two ended up being together.
“Good morning everyone” You and Tom greeted everyone once you got to the set. You got a few “hellos” and good mornings" back.
You and Tom were practically beaming with so much energy ready to start another day of work. No one new how, but it was almost as if you two sort of fueled the other one to be able to function properly.
I’m a child of the 90′s. Power Rangers reigned supreme in my household when I was growing up. And when my brother, who is 9 years younger than me, started getting into Power Rangers, it was a way for us to bond. So obviously I was excited about the reboot.
Listen, I might be biased because of my nostalgia, but damn did I love this movie! Here’s why everyone should leave their house immediately and go watch this film.
1. Diverse Cast: I don’t really need to say it, but this cast is insanely diverse! So many different groups are represented in this movie! Every ranger is of a different ethnicity, which is acknowledged and appreciated by each member! And, beyond the surface differences that can be seen, there is an LGBTQ ranger and a ranger who is on the autism spectrum. One of my favorite parts is that we don’t need to speculate whether or not he might have special needs - he just comes right out and says it. “I’m on the spectrum…It’s a diagnosis.” And while he might have been protected a little more by the others, they didn’t try to baby him which is common for a lot of people who don’t often interact with people who have special needs. Instead, they utilized his strengths and worked with him to build his weaknesses.
2. Fantastic Acting: I gotta give a shout out to the actors who played the rangers. Holy cow, were y’all amazing! I’m honestly stunned with Becky G’s performance and how well she did, but that’s mostly because I haven’t followed her music career and seen what she can do. Girl, you were so good! And I believe that this was the first movie some of them have ever acted in. I’ll admit that the script was a little corny sometimes, but honestly it was 10X better than any script from the tv show, and the actors played them SO GOOD!!!!!
3. Great Chemistry: Some of these friendships felt so authentic and beautiful to me. A few interactions didn’t really excite me (Zack & Jason, mostly), but the rest of them held their own. Kimberly & Trini and Jason & Billy, for instance. The two girl rangers had such amazing chemistry together and every scene they did felt like they’d been friends their whole lives. There’s a lot of people shipping those two, but I’d be genuinely upset if anything less platonic happened between them. I just want Kimberly to be the girl friend that Trini comes to for girlfriend advice because their friendship is so great! Jason & Billy really were the BROTP of the movie though. The way Billy always looked to Jason for any minor thing had me laughing my ass off.
4. A Really Good Bad Guy: Anyone who’s ever seen the tv show knows that Rita Repulsa was kind of lame. She did the same thing every episode and hardly ever left her evil lair to do her own dirty work. Elizabeth Banks as Rita Repulsa was actually kind of a scary bad guy. She wasn’t all talk, and the girl wasn’t afraid to get nasty. I can appreciate that in a villain.
5. Nostalgia: If you were also a big fan of the tv show, this movie has loads of amazing easter eggs for you! I was literally in the theater chanting “Megazord! Megazord! Megazord!” Not to mention Alpha’s “aye aye aye,” and the songs being played, and just ugh! My childhood heart was hurting.
6. Potential Sequel: The ending was set up for a sequel (wait for the credits and an extra scene will come) and honestly it has so much potential for what could come of the power rangers! I need it, and frankly, it hasn’t done that well at the box office so without your support there might not be a sequel at all!
All in all, this movie was really good and I would just love to share it with everyone and tell them to love it!
The adrenaline still ran through your veins as your dance instructor permitted you guys to “disperse” from the atrium. Your dance group, along with all the others, had a ‘pow wow’ where you performed the pieces you would dance at the showcase only just a month away. Your mind drowned in the hoots and hollers of the other performers as they watched your group perform, it was a well-needed confidence boost.
Jungkook was at your side in an instant as you gathered your belongings, putting on your sweater.
“So, you were pretty amazing today,” he complimented shyly. You smirked.
“Really, for which group?” Both you and Jungkook belonged to one dance group, Dance From Motion (DFM), while Jungkook belonged to Tertiary Movement and you also danced for Evolution of Dance (EoD).
He gathered his backpack, following you though he should have been the one leading the way. “Both, idiot. You’re an incredible dancer.”
You heart warmed at the compliment. “Thanks. You were pretty amazing, too.”
His smile fell and you instantly thought of what you could have said wrong. “Really? I wasn’t feeling the set for Tertiary.” You nodded instantly, having an idea of what he meant.
“You look a little bit uncomfortable when the couple dances of the set come in.”
He shrugged while nodding at your critique. “Maybe it’s because I’d rather have someone else all up on me for those parts of the set.” He bent towards you, wiggling his eyebrow suggestively as you rolled your eyes. It was no guess that he liked you, and you liked him back. You had already had that conversation with him, but neither of you said anything about it after your confessions. You guys had, what you believed, a healthy flirtationship.
“Either way,” you countered, “you need to get into it. It’s not like I can take the girl’s place just cause you want me in there.” His silence only made you think he was actually considering that as a possibility, so you quickly changed the subject. “Are you going back to your dorm?”
Jungkook nodded as you walked outside to the fresh, cool autumn air. “Jin is making dinner tonight. You wanna come over? Or will it be too late for you?” You were a commuter on campus, meaning you didn’t live there but came to class from home everyday. It was only 8pm, not too late. You gave a confirmation that coming over wouldn’t hinder you at all.
You got to the dorm building in less than 10 minutes; the trek there has gotten easier since the first time, seeing you’ve frequented Jungkook’s dorm countless times. You’d already met his other six roommates, and they’ve grown accustomed to your company.
“[Y/n]!” You heard Seokjin exclaim as you followed Jungkook inside. The other boys were in the living room, as well, playing video games and conversing with one another. The others greeted you as you did them, and Seokjin called you over to their small kitchen.
“I already baked the cornbread muffins,” he said with a low tone, as if it was a secret. Before you could either decline or accept, he slipped the muffin into your hands, staring at the guys in the living room to make sure none of them were looking.
“So, what’s wrong with my face, exactly?” Jungkook asked, stealing a bite from the small muffin as you dropped your stuff into the corner of his room. It was rather expansive, meant to fit two beds, but there was an odd number of boys, and he lucked out as the last addition to their roommate arrangement.
You plopped into the seat by his desk as he pulled another chair from by his bed. “You just weren’t convincing me, y’know?” He shook his head, silently saying he didn’t know.
“The song, the dance, it’s all sensual,” you explained. “It’s about the tease, making them follow you not only with your movements, but with your face.”
He sat quietly, letting your words marinate properly, before he finally looked with a grin. “You maybe want to demonstrate what you mean?”
You shrugged, getting up to go to your bookbag and retrieve your phone, already scrolling through the songs.
“Woah, what are you doing?” Jungkook questioned, watching as you placed your phone on his desk and you stood in front of him.
“Lapdance,” you answered nonchalantly. “Lap dances are all about the tease. They’re very powerful.” You waited patiently, watching as he measured how serious you were. Seeing your sincere, leveled expression, he nodded.
“There’s only one rule: no touching,” you state, shuffling from foot to foot as the music slowly builds. The beginning is on the longer side, and fortunately so, since your rule ignites curiosity out of Jungkook.
“Is that, like, an actual rule?” His head cocked to the side, eyes trained on yours and attentive on getting answers. “How do you know that? Who else have you given lap dances to?” His genuine wonder made you smirked before giving a heavy sigh of exasperation before focusing again.
“Are you jealous? Do you not want me to continue?” He shifted in his seat at your threat of stopping before you even started. You allowed the music, amplified by the hard surface of his wooden desk, to take over once again, your swaying becoming more pronounced with every beat.
It starts off as an act - the sensual swing of your hips, the arch in your back, the way your hands fell limp as they slid down your neck and lightly down your chest - all of it was just to get into the mood, more focused on the way the music controls your movements. Your eyes had closed when your act started, the spotlight you imagined shining down on you all behind your closed eyelids. But as you open and meet the fire burning in his brown eyes, it’s simply not an act anymore.
Soon your hands are burning a trail that his eyes ignite, a fire that flickers to life in your stomach as your movements become more purposeful, exact. He’s guiding you to drag your feet forward with the longing in his expression, but you’re the one still in control, the one on top. You slide your knee to the chair, grateful it’s big enough so you can maneuver without having to touch him so excessively. You’re there, knees digging into the plush cushion of the chair as you straddle him, hovering over him and holding his intense gaze. Your hands rest at his shoulders, moving the small distance to settle at the crook of his neck. You see his hands twitch on his lap, and you’re quick to remind him, “No touching.”
“But you’re touching me,” he argues with the slightest hint of a whine in his voice.
“Keep your hands to yourself unless I say so. That’s how this works in the real world,” you pause, moving your hips back and forth and letting your head fall to the side with a heavy breath, “so this is how it’ll work in here.”
He pouts, his eyes unable to keep from roaming over your motions, begging for more. “You’re really no fun, [y/n].”
Even with his complaining in the beginning, soon you’ve gotten his full attention, entranced with the way your thighs lowered you ever so slightly, just a hair away from grazing his lap. You could forgive the burn in your thighs from all the work when you saw his jaw slackened from awe, staring intensely with a hitch in his breath every time your hips went down. You let one of your hands move down his chest, his skin burning through the thin fabric of his shirt. Your eyes followed your hand, glancing up through your lashes to see he did so as well. He was still in the palm of your hands, right where you needed him.
His throat bobbed with the heavy gulp as you took his hand in yours, placing it firmly on your hip, his palm damp from heat. Almost unconsciously, his thumb slid under the hem of your shirt, aching for more contact than he was allowed. You stilled, a glare burning your gaze before you yanked at the collar of his shirt until it pulled over his head and threw it to the side. You weren’t sure how long you could keep up this act, what with the rise and fall of his chest giving away his desire as much as his tensing muscles as you continued to caress softly at his torso.
Your skin began to prickle with heat and sweat under your efforts; you took both his hands, placing them on his hips before letting your arms wrap around his neck, your mouth moving to his neck, nipping at the skin before whispering, “Do you what you want,” before dropping into his lap, sharing a groan as you ground heavily against his hard member through both layers of clothing.
He wrapped one arm around your waist, pulling you in tighter as you continued your grind, while the other moved over your skin, sliding up your thigh, making its way up your torso, your skin jumping under his blazing touch. He grabbed at your breast as he bucked upwards, sending a jolt through your core that brought a moan to your lips, muffled by the burning skin of his neck. He twisted his face, catching your lips with his as he ground against you. The song had ended, you noticed through the lust-filled fog of your brain, and the room grew quiet safe for the smack of your lips, the heavy breathing as you both tried to grab onto air without breaking apart.
Your grip on his neck grew tighter as you slid your body against the hard planes of his, trying to get as much friction out of your current position. Nothing was enough, and a whine escaped between the sloppy kisses. His hand slid back down your waist, hand pushing at the hem of your shirt and you leaned back just a tad so he could keep his hands moving up and up-
“Yo, it got way too quiet in here!” Taehyung bellowed, bursting through the door with a huge grin on his face before his eyes bugged at the sight before him. You jerked away, losing your balance and falling to the floor with a dull thump against the hard carpet. Taehyung’s eyes flashed between you and Jungkook, before laughing, doubling over from where he was half inside the room. “I can’t believe I actually walked in on something, holy shit!” He continued his laugh before shaking his head and leaving the room, closing the door.
You and Jungkook shared a sigh, thinking the interruption was finally gone. But, alas, there was a yell right outside the door.
“Whenever you get your shirt on, dinner is ready!”
You huffed out a laugh, more amused by your initial embarrassment than anything else. You finally meet Jungkook’s gaze and your eyes trail down his body until you see the hard-on showing so visibly in his tight jeans and you deflate because there’s no way you can do anything now.
“I should probably go.” You find your voice to be rather low and small since it fills the room so easily. When your statement receives only silence, you nod and stand up, stretching out your legs and not letting yourself walk as if your knees were bent for too long. You grab your sweater and book bag, heading to the door when Jungkook finally reacts, standing in front of the door before you can reach the handle.
“You don’t...have to go,” he says, his voice wavering with his still heavy breathing. You lick at your lips to hide the smirk, watching his bare chest move and the way he shifts from foot to foot faintly with his body still reacting to your makeout session.
You used your finger to push him aside, enjoying how easily he let you pass. “Just use what I did,” you said as you opened the door. “It’s not just the moves, it’s the facials. I hope you were paying attention.”
The light clicked in his head as he watched the way your teeth grazed your lip. “Yeah, I’m a fast learner,” he said. You waved your goodbyes to the guys sitting in the living room as you walked towards the door, not showing how obvious their stares were as they watched a shirtless Jungkook escort you to the door.
He opened the door for you. “I promise to show you what I learned tomorrow in practice,” he paused, gnawing at the inside of his cheek, “and maybe afterwards?” The hope in his eyes was too childlike for you not to giggle at. Goodness, what had this boy done to you?
“I’ll see you at practice, Kookie,” you cooed, walking towards the elevator.
Jungkook sighed as he watched you enter the elevator, closing the door and tugging at his pants again to try and relieve some pressure from his still ever-so-present issue. Taehyung poked his head from the the corner of the living room before sashaying to his position against the door. He presented Jungkook with a bottle of water.
“You want this? You look a bit thirsty.” He barely got the joke out before he laughed out, doubling over again. Jungkook only cursed under his breath before heading back to his room. Your words echoed in his head: It’s about the tease, making them follow you not only with your movements, but with your face. The only thing that filled his head as he headed to the bathroom was the run of your tongue against your lips as your hand trailed down his chest.
“You gonna take care of something, Kookie?” Jimin called out, followed by a howl of laughter from the rest of the guys as he pushed on the bathroom door and slammed it shut. You’d played the tease until the very end and one day he’d pay you back.
*A/N: Since this is a repost, Part 2 will be coming soon ^-^*
Yuzuru’s Interview after SP AT WTT (20 April 2017)
“All my bad habits came out. I think I had too much feelings or put in too much thought. It’s a team competition and so there were also feelings of nervousness. And tomorrow is the death anniversary of Prince and I had also intended to put in those feelings and be focused but…… I am really very sorry about that.”
“I was not able to skate the SP well, even to the end like this. I want to get rid of this feeling of being bad at the SP and I will work on this over some time.”
–After the performance, you looked up and moved your mouth. “I said ‘sorry’ (gomennasai). I apologised. I had too much strange pressure inside me. But even then, I thought I could do it. So in that sense, I have not grown at all, I was thinking that.”
–About the mistakes: “Regarding the failure of the (quad) loop, there is nothing that needs to be fixed for that. In terms of feeling, it is a jump that I have been landing steadily, so if I jump properly, it would be fine. I have also corrected the salchow and it has been stable. I think something like the awareness that (my SP) has not been good in competition came out too strongly.”
–Your thoughts on the song? “I feel I have no right to talk about it right now. If people saw the programme, heard it and enjoyed it, I am happy, and I am very grateful to the choreographer, Jeffrey Buttle.”
–Thoughts towards the FP? “It’s not a competition that’s based on the total score for SP and FP. We compete for placing, and tomorrow is tomorrow and I will give my best for that without being affected by today.”
–After mistakes/failure, how do you switch, how do you protect the mental aspect? “Feelings of frustration/regret will lead to growth. I think it’s ok not to switch. It’s precisely because of the feelings of regret that I can be excited/fired up about tomorrow.”
My heart aches to read his words but he is always so honest and he is not afraid to talk about his own vulnerabilities. Although it’s painful, the last 2 things he said here are very encouraging. And to say all these thoughts right after the performance, without much time to think or prepare, he is really strong and amazing. I just want to tell him:
It’s alright; it’s okay! We still love you anyway! GO, YUZU, GANBARE!!
I haven’t been checking my Twitter for awhile and I came across some amazing things when I scroll through my timeline today, so I thought I’d share it with everyone. XD
1. Yuri on Ice Festival Stage Drama
Remember the “Chihokogate Incident”? Well now apparently jealous Yuuri got possessed by a squid(?) demon and Viktor had to perform exorcism on him.
2. We will get to see Yuuri’s “Viktor Nikiforov Collection” during Yuri on Museum!!!
3. A Russian Restaurant just opened in Karatsu next to the Onsen that became an inspiration for Yutopia Katsuki. Also, about 27,000+ people have visited Karatsu since the last YOI Collaboration and the Mayor was very thankful for that. ^^
The edit above is not in the order of my top 10 but the list below is. This was my first time making an edit so I was just trying to make it all fit, lol. Please feel free to tell me your thoughts on these dramas, I’d love to hear that ya’ll think!
1. Descendants of the Sun (Song Joong Ki, Song Hye Kyo, Jin Goo, Kim Ji Won)
This was the first drama I followed along with while it was airing and it cemented my stay in kdrama-land so I’ll forever be grateful for that. I loved everything about this drama from the cast to the plot, I thought it was unique and funny and so very enjoyable to watch. A soldier and doctor falling in love in the middle of a crisis with brilliantly amusing scenes and secondary characters? It’s a win for sure. I think it found the perfect balance between drama, action, romance, and comedy. Also, the OSTs in the drama were amazing; Talk Love by K.Will will forever be one of my favorites.
2. Goblin (Gong Yoo, Lee Dong Wook, Kim Go Eun)
So I’m cheating a little with this one because it didn’t finish airing in 2016, but this is currently my favorite drama so I felt obligated to put this on my list. This was my first real venture into a fantasy kdrama and I love everything about it. The aesthetics and cinematography is unreal, the cast is fantastic, the beginnings of romance is natural, but the bromance and friendships are probably my favorite things about this drama. It’s honestly just so witty and fun and the performance by each actor is amazing. It never fails to make me smile or laugh. Since it’s by the same writer as DOTS, it has the perfect combination of fantasy, romance, drama, and comedy. Also, the OSTS are wickedly good in this as well.
3. The K2 (Ji Chang Wook, Im YoonA, Song Yoon Ah)
Despite the drama surrounding the characters and it’s obvious problems story-wise, I loved The K2. One of my favorite genres is action-romance and this drama was packed with both. JCW is brilliant as always in acting but his action scenes were amazing. I thought the plot was pretty unique and the lead three gave great performances (I know people thought YoonA’s character was useless, but I didn’t; the story literally wouldn’t exist without her, lol). I have to praise Song Yoon Ah for her performance especially because this was the first time I empathized with the villain; I certainly didn’t agree with everything she did, but they gave a depth to her character that I really appreciated. There are some things I’ll never understand regarding the drama, but I don’t want to spoil anything for others so I won’t mention it here.
4. Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo (Lee Sung Kyung, Nam Joo Hyuk)
Again, this drama has yet to end, but I honestly think that this is one of the most brilliant dramas of 2016. It’s a feel-good, coming-of-age drama that balances romance, comedy, and friendship and that honestly delivers each week. It tackles first love and all the innocence and insecurities that comes with liking someone unattainable, it explores friendship between women and the unbreakable bond you can make with life-long friends in college, it shows characters with unhealthy issues taking the right steps to get help, and it shows how guys should treat girls and how naturally you can fall in love with your best friend. Most of all though, it tells us that it’s okay to fall out of love with your talents and what you have been doing your entire life; it’s okay to take a break, try new things, and find yourself. Brilliant cast, brilliant writing, and brilliant performances.
5. Reply 1988 (Lee Hye Ri, Park Bo Gum, Ryu Jun Yeol, Go Kyung Pyo, Lee Dong Hwi)
I’m late to the game but there are not enough words to describe what a good drama this is. I love that it focused so much on family bonds rather than romantic love. More than the individual families, the entire block was one big family that supported and took care of each other. I laughed, I cried, and I was happy when they were happy. The line between friendship and family is easily blurred in this drama because I swear the kids were more like family than they were friends. The parents’ friendship also made me happy because for once there was no evil parent or scheming; they all loved their kids and were such good friends with each other. There were so many lessons to learn from in this drama, it’s A+. Also, the goat noises made my life.
6. Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo (Lee Joon Ki, IU, Kang Ha Neul)
I had/have a love-hate relationship with this drama. This was my first saeguk drama and I did really like a lot of things about it. The cinematography was beautiful, it really was so well done. I liked most of the characters, especially early in the show when it was more funny and cute. And the actors, even the idol-actors, did well in my opinion. What I hated was how they tried to jam-pack the Chinese version into the last 4 episodes, the insanely terrible editing that just made it seem like the characterization for leads did not align at all with what we knew about them, and the ending. I truly detested the ending; it was sloppy and unnecessary. If they didn’t cut that one scene from that ending, I would have been satisfied but they chose to do a disservice to the characters and for that reason alone, I’ll probably never re-watch this drama.
7. Age of Youth (Han Ye-ri, Han Seung-yeon, Park Eun-bin, Ryu Hwa-young, Park Hye-soo )
I loved everything about this drama. The friendship between the Belle Epoque girls made me smile; they grew from being so awkward with each other to being such good friends. They teased, fought, and took care of each other like any good roommates would do while living their own lives. The drama did brilliantly in highlighting each girl’s unique struggles and allowing them to grow because of them. There is nothing I didn’t like about this drama; it was funny, interesting, and just really good. The Belle Epoque girls are special.
8. The Legend of the Blue Sea (Lee Min Ho, Jun Ji Hyun)
I like drama a lot but mostly because of JJH’s character and performance. I’ve never failed to smile, laugh, or feel second-hand embarrassment for her character and that just really made the drama fun. I’m not really a big LMH fan, I think he’s an decent actor, but I think this is probably my favorite role of his. He’s actually doing really well and I really enjoy his character. One of my main issues is the plot and direction of the drama; I think it’s been a little sloppy and some things just don’t make sense and are poorly explained. Also it’s taking forever to get through some of the sub-plots and it honestly just feels like a waste of time. To be quite honest and in my opinion, if the leads weren’t as big stars as they are, this drama would not be doing as well as it is now.
9. Doctor Crush (Park Shin Hye, Kim Rae Won, Lee Sung Kyung, Yoon Kyun Sang)
The beginning of this drama was brilliant; PSH’s character was the epitome of a bad-girl who was also kind to her friends. I loved the plot; a girl with an attitude problem with no care in the world changing her ways and becoming a brilliant physician to not only prove people wrong but also to get revenge on the people that wronged/hurt her? Yeah, sign me up for a drama like that. The secondary characters were great, there really were some comedic scenes with them. I liked the medical part of the drama and PSH’s friendship with her childhood best friend and the other doctors. What I hated what that she never really got her revenge; they went with the most predictable way of the guy getting out of it for a medical drama and I hated that. He wasn’t even sincerely apologetic for what he had done. And honestly, I also hated that she never really called out step-mother for being such a terrible person. I had higher expectations for this drama.
10. Cinderella and the Four Knights (Park So Dam, Jung Il Woo, Ahn Jae Hyun)
This was definitely more of a feel good drama for me. I love the “cinderella” trope so this was just really cute. Park So Dam was just adorable and she made the story fun. There was nothing overly special about this drama; it was fun and light, there were some pretty-boys, and a sweet best friend. All the makings of a classic feel-good drama. My favorite thing would probably have to be the OSTs in this drama; they were all just so good and I still re-play some of them.
Jung Sewoon’s voice was the prettiest, although Lee Gunhee’s voice was pretty too
Lee Euiwoong’s face, dance, and rap was perfect; his dance style was perfect for the choreography of the song
Bae Jinyoung’s face was really pretty, had light makeup on but it suited him well, was very energetic, and during his parts, he showed off his charms; even with contact lenses on, his face was so small you have to go closer to his face, he wasn’t nervous at all
Choi Minki was the focus of the stage, he’s like a real man, he will go up ranks for sure
Gunhee’s voice was a must for the team, his dance and singing was really good
Park Jihoon was cute, sexy, and prefect in real life
Ahn Hyungseob did lots of aegyo and sent many hearts, and Euiwoong went crazy with hearts, flying kisses, and bright smiles
Jinyoung, Jihoon, and Minki did their puppy pose from their entrance together
OP could not hear the full song because they kept on cutting their rehearsal to redo and rewatch how they did
Kang Dongho looks like he lost a lot of weight, was so handsome, his voice supported the song perfectly, an amazing vocal
Takada Kenta’s face was really pretty, had light makeup on but it suited him well, he flew on stage
For the actual stage, Yoo Seonho wore a black suit, he opened it and did body rolls and lied down on the floor (please do not sexualize him)
BoA asked what kind of song 열어줘 is, and Seonho said it was a sexy and inappropriate song
Kang Daniel’s killing part was throwing off his jacket and body wave
Kim Yongguk did really well in the rehearsals, he sweat a lot while dancing, his dancing was very good
Kenta and Yongguk suit the concept the best
Open stage was very sexy and mostly contains body waves
audience asked for an encore
Park Woojin was in really bad condition today, he caught the shingles and wore an eyepatch, his face was swollen
Hwang Minhyun’s visuals need to be praised, at the end his smile…
Lee Daehwi’s voice suited the song very well
OP thinks Kim Jaehwan will suprise everyone
Kim Jonghyun’s visuals was very handsome and his visuals were 100, his expressions killed, seemed to understand the song very well
Lai Guanlin made a huge mistake in the choreography (another OP said it wasn’t that huge, it depends on your own perspective)
Park Woojin and Guanlin rapped, and Ong Seongwu did the killing part
BoA asked something to Guanlin but he didn’t understand, so Daehwi explained it to him in English (i thought this was cute)
fireworks in the introduction and last chorus, paper strips fell at the end
Kim Samuel, Park Woodam, and Ha Sungwoon said this may be their last performance
OP cried while hearing Lee Woojin sing, “his voice brings back people from hell”
Samuel must have a mindset to improve, he was flying on stage
I Know You Know
Kwon Hyunbin’s skills keep increasing, this stage is the best one he did, makes your eyes keep going to him
Kim Taedong’s makeup looked amazing on him today, his dance was amazing, OP assumes his rank will move up a lot
ahhhh i love them so much and i know many ppl kind of gloss over their cute moments together bc they don’t do skinship as overtly on camera as the other members but it’s there if you know to look :’)
(i’ll do 10 or else i’ll be going on for hours)
1. i have to start with that emotional and meaningful hug they shared in MAMA 2016 bc how can i not?
it was just such an important and significant moment for both of them, ship them or not, you can’t deny that it was so heartfelt and showed how close they are :’) they’ve been through so much together and for them to make it here after so much hardship and struggle is so amazing for them both, it was a lovely moment overall for them and i never fail to tear up when i see it :)
2. this entire bangtan bomb bc they’re so adorable and i love the way they were trying to imitate each other’s rap style and just teasing each other
and then ofc them performing together is always amazing and i love it ;;
also it’s dumb but i get a kick out of namjoon calling yoongi chingu instead of hyung bc i love it when namjoon uses informal with yoongi since i strongly suspect namjoon and hoseok forgo polite form with him usually since they’re all close (hoseok does it more on camera but namjoon has slipped up here and there)
3. who can ever forget that one time yoongi was so excited and adorable when namjoon was performing and he kept pointing out namjoon and going “namjoon-ah” ;; my heart
look at that adorable smile on his face, he’s literally so happy and proud of namjoon
jimin even pointed out that yoongi was being uncharacteristically excited and bouncy watching the performance :)))
4. literally the entire episode 4 of bon voyage. sugamon being paired together and working together to go on a tiny adventure in a different country and basically having a great time bc they work really well together
them fixing themselves up together and complimenting each other casually like the actual domestic husbands that they are
and namjoon actually wearing the ring in concept pics, fancams, concert pics, etc ^^
9. this doesn’t have any specific video or anything but they’re constantly teasing each other? and it’s really cute?? and it’s so casual and witty that it kinda flows by you until you go “wait what? did he just say something about yoongi/namjoon?” i love their adorable bantering comments at each other
like namjoon insisting yoongi’s on the same level dancing as him but he just gets away with it or yoongi’s “i agree” when namjoon said he’s the worst singer of bts in the recent gayo episode
namjoon saying yoongi looks like a little count dracula
or namjoon talking about how yoongi whines lmao
(yoongi teasing namjoon about not needing to go to vintage shops when he could just use the clothes there)
or the time yoongi was saying he wouldn’t mind rooming with namjoon when they were talking about namjoon’s snoring bc he’s used to it and namjoon was like “he’s the first one to not wanna room with me when we stay at hotels”
pretty pretty please oh pleaase will you do a post about sunggyu as in what's so great about him, just because i want one after the great job you did on Woohyun :D
Okay so my Woohyun post was liked by people, that’s always nice to hear! I hope the anon who sent in the original ask starts to see Woohyun in a different light from now on ~~
I guess I can talk about Sunggyu too, but where to begin?
1. HIS UNIQUE VOICE / EMOTIONAL EXPRESSION
Sunggyu’s voice is one that is instantly recognisable. He can be a soft falsetto, he can be a heart-wrenching high note. He is as versatile a vocal as Woohyun is, and can lend his voice to many different genres of music. He has proven himself a stronglive vocalist too (remember that time the music stopped during a live and he just carried on singing, totally unfazed?). One of my favourite performances of his was on Yu Huiyeol’s Sketchbook in 2015, where he sang Nell’s Time Spent Walking Through Memories and his own title track Kontrol.
Sunggyu has one of those voices that really makes you feel things, you know? He is able to project some real emotion into his vocals, and every single song on his second solo album 27 just hits you with it. One of my fave things is when Sunggyu sings songs with softer, quieter parts that then reach an inevitable crescendo where he showcases the true power of his voice. A good example of that is this performance of Only Tears. Then there is this incredible duet he did on Duet Song Festival which just gets me every single time. I could probably go on about Sunggyu’s voice forever. But here is a compilation of his head notes, falsettos and long notes on Immortal Songs 2.
2. LEADER GYU
Not only is Sunggyu an amazing leader for INFINITE in the sense that he pushes them to succeed and leads with a firm hand, he is also known to counsel the other members if they need advice. For Sungyeol and Sungjong’s birthdays last year, he went out while they were in Japan to get them gifts as he didn’t want them to miss out just because they weren’t at home. In INFINITE Showtime episode 10, Sungjong thanked Sunggyu for helping him out and listening when he has worries and concerns. The INFINITE members are close enough to Sunggyu that they can absolutely roast him on tv shows, knowing that its a joke. Back when they all lived together in a dorm, Sunggyu would wake up the members, and that is seriously the cutest thing ever, just watch it (like, yeah okay so he wrestles Woohyun, but he was being a little brat! And the spraying Sungjong was totally Nam’s idea soooo…).
He is also currently MCing a new show called Singderella alongside Super Junior’s Heechul, and it already looks to be pretty hilarious. You can easily find clips on Youtube ~
4. AND EVERYTHING ELSE:
So above were three main points about Sunggyu as an idol, as the leader of INFINITE, as a singer. Here are some more important things:
Sunggyu has made multiple appearances in musicals, showing his vocal versatility as well as his acting skills. He has had main roles in Gwanghwamun Sonata (alongside Super Junior’s Kyuhyun), Vampire, In The Heights (with fellow member Dongwoo) and All Shook Up.
His friendships with other idols. Sunggyu is known to be close with numerous other idols, most notably Super Junior’s Heechul and Kyuhyun, SHINee’s Minho and (former) Beast’s Junghyun. He even appeared on Junghyun’s FB Live broadcast a few months ago in the Beast member’s new studio.
His love of Nell. He is known to be a huuuuuge Nell fanboy, actually going so far as to say he only auditioned for Woollim because Nell were part of the company at that time. He reached peak fanboy when Nell’s Kim Jongwan produced his second solo album 27 and featured on a track with Epik High’s Tablo.
His undeniable good looks… So many people may be critical of Sunggyu’s small eyes, but it has to be said that he has amazingly good visuals. That jawline, those hands… I could go on, but you get the idea.
right so, i’m not gonna do moments, per se, but more like Iconic ben platt things in no specific order.
1. the 71st annual tony awards. like, in general.
we got this glorious reaction, we got ben’s magnificently beautiful speech with that Iconic™ quote, and we got ben looking DAMN FINE in that blue tux. also he wore the lucky cufflinks that beanie feldstein gave him on his 16th birthday!!!! not to mention that the man won!!! he did that!!!!!
2. waving through a window
i just love the the entire damn song. his anxious tics, the awkward pacing across the stage, the little twirl here. also like, ben has so much dedication to his role?? and it’s his favourite song to perform because he loves to see the audience’s reaction to it (he said that in an interview somewhere)????? amazing. 10/10.
3. the pre-show dressing room dance parties
(rip the gif didn’t work so here’s a still image) mostly thanks to olivia puckett’s instagram story, we get beautiful shots like this one. look at him go. that little smile? amazing. someone from the cast mentioned in an interview that there are certain cast members who attend every dance party and from what i can tell ben is one of them.
This is my favourite live performance for a number of reasons. They all look hot af, just getting that out the way first. They all sound so great! It’s one of those performances where they sound better than the actual single. Plus the harmonies, especially at 2:37, are so on point 👌 The audience is also so great! You can tell that there’s a connection between them and the boys, especially with the ‘YOU SING’ bit. I love when the audience is responsive and singing along. Just everything about this performance is delicate and lovely and amazing! Even the lighting is glorious. (Harry also murdered me at 2:59. And then again at 3:11.)
Hey guys, just wanted to say some words about Sanggyun and Produce 101. He was just recently eliminated which is very upsetting but he did such a great job!! He really took one for the team by going on this show. It’s not easy to go on the show as an already debuted idol but he went and he kept his head up high and he tried his hardest. He, an already debuted idol, was given an F rank during the first ranking which must’ve been incredibly hard to deal with emotionally, especially as he saw younger, less experienced, and not already debuted participants get higher ranks than him. Despite this, he continued to work hard and ended up gaining so many fans. He did so incredibly well on this show and now we can only hope that it brought some attention to topp dogg as a whole.
Now a few words for topp klass, gaining fans and attention takes time. Don’t expect td to become famous overnight. We have to be patient and we have to continue to support td and do whatever we can for them. This means at least continuing to vote for them, streaming their music videos, and even going to social media to promote them. Also, I don’t believe that TD will suddenly regroup again. A-Tom may start to promote with the other 5 members who have been performing but don’t expect all the members to come back right away or for TD to start coming out with music or anything. Produce 101 was just one tactic to help td gain some popularity. I’m sure what the others are doing are also part of a plan that hunus has. We need to trust them.
tldr paragraph 1: It’s sad that Sanggyun was eliminated from p101 but he did amazing and we should be so proud of him!!
tldr paragraph 2: Topp Klass, td won’t gain popularity overnight and the other members probably aren’t going to return right away. Be patient, trust td, and continue to support them!!
I just wanted to point out why I’m here and why i’m proud of ot4 for what they accomplished in this hiatus:
Liam - he got a major record deal with Capitol Records UK and has been writing/singing/producing his new album. He has been teasing us with “soon” since early 2016, but he has been writing with Grammy’s winners and nominees. He wrote with Pharrell Williams and we even got a leaked track of him singing “You” with Wiz Khalifa and Juicy J.
Niall - also got a solo deal with Capitol Records and released “This Town” as his solo debut single getting very good critical aclaim by the music industry. He promoted the hell out of this song and performed solo at the AMAs. He went on a Jingle Bell tour around the USA and made major tv/radio appearences. Still writing and recording for his solo album. Also he has business in the golf world.
Harry - we don’t know anything specific in terms of solo music, but we got actor!Harry in real life. His first acting experience is in Dunkirk, a Christopher Nolan movie no less. He is probably going to drown, but he showed a new side of Harry in this movie. Also did a cover shoot for Another Man where he broke all gender norms making these one of the most acclaimed covers for him. Oh and he co-wrote a song for Michael Bublé and Meghan Trainor
Louis - no solo deal yet, but has been working in solo projects too… Released a song called Just Hold On with Steve Aoki entering a new music world, EDM. Received a lot of critical acclaim for the track too making it to number 2 on UK charts. Has been promoting the song on american radios alongside Steve Aoki and performed on Jimmy Fallon and the Today Show too. Also has been writing with other artists too.
So you see this is what makes me proud… They have been working their asses off and they have been accomplishing a lot in terms of solo projects! I don’t know about some of you, but for me it isn’t about one being more successful than the other. For me it’s amazing to watch these boys getting away from the “boyband” image and just explore what is out there! They are all in different fields so yes i can support them all and it’s amazing to see the media and other artists saying good things about them! I’m extremely excited of what is about to come for them and i won’t make distinctions between them… That’s what you’ll get here!
What she means: KENSHI YONEZU WILL BE SINGING BOKU NO HERO ACADEMIA’S OPENING SONG FOR SEASON 2 AND I NEVER WOULD HAVE EVEN DREAMT OF SUCH A THING HAPPENING, KENSHI YONEZU IS SUCH AN AMAZING ARTIST AND I LOVE HIS WORKS INTENSELY AND I CAN’T BELIEVE HE’LL BE PERFORMING THE OPENING SONG FOR THE SECOND SEASON OF MY FAVORITE SERIES AND I AM CONFIDENT THAT WHAT HE’LL BE PRODUCING IS NOTHING SHORT OF EXCELLENT AND I AM SO P U M P E D BECAUSE THIS ALSO MEANS HE IS GONNA RECEIVE MORE RECOGNITION OUTSIDE OF THE JAPANESE FANBASE
I first thought of making a top 10 list of kpop group members who have their solo albums but I had such a hard time choosing the tenth that I opted to just countdown my favorite 9.
9. Bobby. This member of iKON won Show Me the Money (SMTM) 3 so that kind of stablishes the fact that this boy can rap. I know he technically has not put up a solo album but he did release his single Holup as part of the album of the unit MOBB (Mino and Bobby). I really think he has huge potential since he’s only 21. Maybe if he improves in his songwritting we can really see some interesting music from him in the future. He also has a nice singing voice that actually reminds me of GD not because their voices are similar but because they both have really unique voices.
8. Henry. For those of you who like watching korean variety shows you probably know who he is because he’s been in several shows. If you’re into kdramas then you must watch him in Oh my venus with Shin Min Ah and So Ji Sub. However he is mostly a multi-talented songwriter and has a variety of music that has pop, ballad, classical and hip hop influences.
He even wrote a song for EXO’s upcoming album The War.
He’s canadian and was scouted by SM to form Super Junior M (the mandarin sub unit of Super Junior).
7. Kyuhyun. I have a huge soft spot for Kyuhyun. My brain knows he’s actually not the best of vocalists and he doesn’t write his own stuff plus his ballads are not too interesting but there is something about the tone of his voice that makes me react emotionally to every song he sings. Needless to say he is my bias in Super Junior on top of that he’s super funny as he has shown in Radio Star and New Journey to the West. He’s currently doing his service and probably we won’t be able to listen to anything from him in two years. His only hit At Gwanghwamun is a must listen but I have so many songs I love like Blah blah, The parting, Piano Forest and Hope is a dream that doesn’t sleep (OST of Baking King Kim Tak Goo).
6. Jay Park. I know calling Jay Park an idol at this point is stretching it a bit and he
probably wouldn’t like it but since he once was the leader of 2PM I feel he does qualify. Although I’ve been listening to his songs ever since I got into kpop I didn’t know much about him until recently which kind of only makes me like him more. Controversy aside I love how he rose to success after struggling as an idol. His r&b and hip hop music is so good. Also I think he’s a positive influence on the korean music scene. My favorites are his sexy songs like Sex Trip and All I want to do.
5. Lay. I actually don’t like M-pop. I think it always sound like something you’ve already heard but it’s Lay, my EXO-L heart is predisposed to like anything they do however I do think his first mini album is really good. He opted for an r&b classic sound and it really fits him. My favorite song is his title track Lose Control that shows his song writting skills.
4. Taemin. In my opinion, Taemin (Shinee) doesn’t have a great live voice so when he released Danger in 2014, which by the way concided with me really getting into kpop (I only liked EXO before), I didn’t really understand it. However SM always does things right when it comes to Taemin, every come back he does whether is in Korea or Japan it always has a different sound and most of all a complex and distinct sound. My favorite song of his is Goodbye (Sayonara Hitori) but Press your number was drilled into my head for most of 2016. The new song Flame of Love for his japanese comeback is also amazing. Because he is such a flawless dancer his stages are always on point and he can really stand on his own.
3. GD. He’s just out of this world, isn’t he? A lot of people have called him a genius and he would actually be my number one if it wasn’t for the fact that the songs I like the most from him are Big Bang songs not his solo stuff. Having said that he’s just so good as a solo act. The range of what he can do is amazing. He’s a crazy performer, a great rapper and of course an off the charts producer. His singing voice is just plain weird and I’m not even talking about the way he bends the words while singing but just his tone. I of course like his album Coup d’etat but I’m so obsessed with Untitled, 2014.
2. Jonghyun. I’ve talked about this before in this blog, but when I listened to Shinee’s Jonghyun album She is I became obsessed with it and went back and listened to his previous records and his latest album all made me a fan of his music. I wouldn’t call him underrated but he hasn’t had a huge hit just yet. I think it’s kind of just a matter of time. Let me out, Inspiration and White T-Shirt are my favorite songs.
1. Zico. I don’t have much to say he’s just Zico. If you have been living under a rock or you’re not into kpop then I can say he’s a rapper and a singer member of Block B. Most of all he’s an amazing producer. I think what really showed that side of his was SMTM 4, in each stage of the competition he created beats for his team and the results were chart topping hits like Fear and Okey Dokey. Of course SMTM and Mino had to do a lot with the success of those songs but it still is impressive. I love when he does songs with an indie feel like She’s a baby and I am you and you’re me. but there’s really nothing I’ve heard from him as a solo artist that I haven’t liked. Of course his highlights have to be Eureka, Veni Vidi Vici, Bermuda Triangle and Anti.
