Honestly, I don’t know and I don’t really know how to explain it ‘cause I’m struggling to remember why I agreed to do it. But, yeah it was really intense. I was very high. Uh, I couldn’t wait to get down in all of those pictures.
Harry talking about filming the music video for ‘Sign of the Times’
- Just because it starts off slow and pretty doesn’t mean it’s not going to get seriously intense later on. In fact, there’s probably more of a chance.
- Most pieces average about 8-15 minutes long. Entire symphonies can last roughly an hour, but you can always find separate movements. Be patient and wait. Even if you already know it and just want a specific part, just enjoy the build-ups, man.
- There’s all kinds. Anything from dark Russian waltzes to peppy English marches, to thousands of symphonies by various composers. Even if you don’t like a certain tone, there’s always more and if you find something you like, and if you listen on YouTube, the recommendations are pretty good at linking similar styles.
- Non-lyric stuff is great for studying, relaxing, or just spacing out.
- In the quiet parts, try to avoid turning up the volume too loud (but of course if you need to, then 2 clicks or so should do), unless you want to jump a foot out of your seat when the dynamics suddenly change.
- Cool stuff to get you started that you might recognize from cartoons or movies or something:
The moon in a natal chart represents how we nurture, how we want to be nurtured, our habits and our receptivity.
If you’re feeling tense, anxious or in need of self care and nurturing, look to your moon sign for some help as to how you can take better care of your emotional well being.

Listen to happy music or watch a funny, lighthearted movie - Never blame yourself for something you know you didn’t do. Don’t give into pieces victim mentality. Tell yourself the truth always - Learn how to set yourself boundaries and don’t give into everyone all of the time. • I fucking like to
I think my biggest “huh” moment with respect to gender roles is when it was pointed out to me that your typical “geek” is just as hypermasculine as your typical “jock” when you look at it from the right angle.
As male geeks, a great deal of our identity is built on the notion that male geeks are, in some sense, gender-nonconformant, insofar as we’re unwilling or unable to live up to certain physical ideals about what a man “should” be. Indeed, many of us take pride in how putatively unmanly we are.
Viewed from an historical perspective, however, the virtues of the ideal geek are essentially those of the ideal aristocrat: a cultured polymath with expertise in a vast array of subjects; rarefied or eccentric taste in food, clothing, music, etc.; identity politics that revolve around one’s hobbies or pastimes; open disdain for physical labour and those who perform it; a sense of natural entitlement to positions of authority (“you should be flipping my burgers!”); and so forth.
And the thing about that aristocratic ideal? It’s intensely masculine. It may seem more welcoming to women on the surface, but - as recent events will readily illustrate - this is a facade: we pretend to be egalitarian because it suits our refined self-image, but that affectation falls away in a heartbeat when challenged.
Basically, the whole “geeks versus jocks” thing that gets drilled into us by media and the educational system isn’t about degrees of masculinity at all. It’s just two different flavours of the same toxic bullshit: the ideal geek is the alpha-male-as-philosopher-king, as opposed to the ideal jock’s alpha-male-as-warrior-king. It’s still a big dick-measuring contest - we’re just using different rulers.
I’d to apologize again for not doing this last week! I was really sick and had a few exams, so I didn’t have a lot of time to make lists!
For the Record by DasWarSchonKaputt, Not Rated, 10k Viktor Nikiforov, sports journalist and retired figure skater, interviews Olympic Champion Yuuri Katsuki for an exclusive piece. So, so, so amazing. I am truly speechless after reading this, it’s incredible. In my top 10.

Welcome to Detroit Dental and Orthodontics by stanzas, Teen, 11k Victor stops the car, turns off the engine, and Yuri rolls out the car with the attitude of every slightly inconvenienced teenager. Yuri flips his shades up, stares in disbelief at the sign in front of the well-manicured lawn squished between two old barber shops: DETROIT DENTAL AND ORTHODONTICS. “You’ve got to be fucking kidding me,” he says. LOOOOOOOOVE this fic!

Masquerade by Ashida, Explicit, 87k (WIP) “Just say the word.” came the whisper as Victor stepped close, behind them Yuuri was aware of guns out and at the ready, of confused men and questioned loyalties, here Victor was offering, and Yuuri was too selfish to say no. “Ok.” Yuuri smiled as this game of masquerade came to an end, what would happen now, he didn’t know, he would probably die, his family would come after him and try to put a knife in his back or a bullet between his eyes, none of it mattered, because together they would fight, and the rest of the world would finally burn. Every update of this fic kills me in the best way possible! Sexy, intense, and always riveting. Must read!

laser kisses are really intense because laser tag is already super high energy and has high stakes so we were teamed up against this other couple. Shits getting down to the wire and we’re posted up behind a wall that had the enemy base on the opposite side
this was the moment of truth. the orchestra music swelled. we gazed at eachother. determined to complete the mission; horribly in love
“baby if we don’t make it out….” we kissed and then I finished my sentence “…..tell my cat i love her” and stormed the enemy base with the full rage of the gay agenda
And why the Attack on Titan anime adaptation once again proves itself to be incredible.
Sasha reading her bow and telling the kid to keep going is an amazing moment in the manga already–Isa deserves all the credit here. In the og flashback, Sasha refuses to abandon her principles just because outsiders are in trouble, she refuses to help them; a perhaps egocentric, but also human point of view-we tend to prioritize us and those closest to us over strangers. Then, in the current time, Sasha tells the kid to run bc she’ll certainly find kind and helpful people ahead; and stays herself behind to fight; she fights knowing that proper victory cannot be achieved, to save a random stranger; a kid, further emphasising that Sasha herself has grown into a great person and abandoned that egocentric child she once was.
It’s great stuff, but the animated execution of it made me realize just how good it actually is.
In the yumikuri flashback the S1 version of counterattack mankind starts…its positive a track expressing a sense of optimism and peace, it suits the “ordinary moments” she thinks about. Then, we cut back to present time. A newer arrangement of the track, led by faint strings with hints of an organ in the background–there’s a distant but growing intensity in there.
As Sasha talks to the kid, most of it is shot from the kid’s perspective, so we get to look up to Sasha–she’s seen as the grown up here, perfectly fitting the above characterization. In the meantime, the music grows ever stronger-the organ is very present, and drums are added too. The buildup to the sequence is thus heavily emphasized. Also, listen carefully to Kobayshi Yuu (who’s performance here I loved). There’s definitely exasperation in her voice–they’ve been running for some time and are chased by a titan, not to mention that she’s afraid. Yet, you can still find a lot of tenderness in there–the kid is supposed to feel safe and secure, despite everything going on, and it just makes you love Sasha even more.
Let’s get to the real meat
I LOOOOVE this scene. Sasha spinning on her feet to stop and get into position looks really cool…but its’ the following take that I adore the most
The spin kills her entire momentum…she stands still and ready, and the camera lingers on her. But the kid didn’t do any spin, kid’s still going, not slowing down. Sasha however wants kid to keep going, seems to use her spin as a way to propel kid forward. And the moment her arm is separated from kid, the camera moves on as well–doing so, Sasha’s staying-behind-to-fight is visually translated and further emphasized without the viewer consciously realizing it. I have a hard time describing it, but there’s an incredibly powerful sense of organic dynamism in there that just sells the scene. It’s excellent visual storytelling, not only of the situation, but also of Sasha’s character–she’s strong and altruistic now, and she’ll fight against all odds to save the kid in need. Yuu’s performance here is perfect as well–there’s now definitive desperation to be heard, alongside remaining hints of kindness but also a certain intensity. Sasha is afraid–she has no equipment to protect herself, she has no weapons to eliminate the threat, but in spite of that, she still sends the kid away, she still stays behind, she still stands in the way of the titan.
And THAT shows just how brave she is–Sasha overcomes her weaknesses, she fights against all odds, she dedicates her heart–and that is what the anime manages to portray so masterfully here.
And of course, that is what the best shot of the episode does.
We get an incredibly gorgeous wide shot…starting off once again from below, keeping both the titan and Sasha in frame, reminding us of the threat ahead of her, but in one amazing panning zoom, we fly all the way to a closeup filled with nothing but fierceness. The visual alone is amazing in its own regard, but the sound is what truly rounds it up. Counterattack Mankind A reaches its climax, going all out on instruments, cue-ing the all-so-familiar melody in an immensely epic arrangement worthy of the scene it accompanies. Kobayashi Yuu 100% sells it too–her first “now-go” is still a bit feeble and unsure as mentioned above, the 2nd “run” already stronger but there are still hints of fear….and then, with the musical cue behind, after getting a full frontal close-up–the all out “get runnin’!”, filled with nothing but raw energy and determination–Sasha’s abandoned all fear and is in all out character-climax-badass mode. Her shout echoes through the woods, the kid is literally hit by a shockwave and finally starts running (sidenote–her eyes were dark and lifeless throughout the ep, but only after that do they lighten up, adding once more weight to Sasha’s moment). And of course, Sasha’s accent arc comes to full circle in the same frame as well, as she yells the command out in her native dialect she’s tried to hide for so long. Pretty much everything that could’ve come full circle did–in terms of writing, performance, sound and visuals.
It’s an amazing sequence deserving of ludicrous praise for the creative staff–they’ve proven once more that Attack on Titan is a work of art. The manga is already without a doubt amazing–most of the points above stem from it after all-but the anime is so ridiculously good at presenting I sometimes can’t believe it with my own two eyes.
In case you couldn’t tell, I fucking loved this sequence and I’m gonna yell about Sasha all week long.
Request: ‘’What do you think Grayson and Ethan would be like in bed, like in detail??? xxx‘’
Just to be clear: I think that the twins most of the time would be really gentle and passionate buttt also could be really rough and lowkey kinky when having sex. Because let’s face it: they’re sex gods and just from looking at them I get really turned on, lol. BUT I do think that Ethan is more into kinky stuff and Grayson into more romantic sex ;) Hope you enjoy xx
↪ Lots and looots of sex
↪ Sexting before as a warm up ;)
↪ He would be dominant af, but sometimes sub as well
↪ Lazy morning sex
↪ Rarely slow and passionate sex and most of the time really rough and maybe even kinky?

↪ Again: FOREPLAYYY! Foreplay would for sure include fingering, teasing and touching you everywhere (because let’s face it: Gray is really touchy)

Everyone goes through tough times, and we all know it’s hard to go through with them, so if you ever feel a bit upset/depressed or if you have things like anxiety, here’s my advice
Please note that I am not a professional and I do not understand the tough time you are going through, also that I haven’t expierenced depression but I do suffer from Anxiety
¤Read a book, start a new series. It will help you distress and relax you, it will also help you sleep if you have sleeping problems/insomnia
¤Start a new TV/Movie/ YouTube Series. When I was going through a tough time, I watched “Animated Atrocities” on YouTube by TheMysteriousMrEnter and it really helped since I enjoy animation.
¤ Colour. You can buy one of those relaxing colouring books, I personally don’t like them but it could work out for you.
¤Talk to someone. I know it’s been said a billion times but it honestly helps.
¤Eat Well And get some exercise. Exercise is proven to help with mental well being, and eating healthier will put you in a better mood than eating unhealthily. Your exercise doesn’t have to be intense, just a nice walk or some yoga will work.
¤ Try ASMR videos. If you want to relax, ASMR videos will help, they may come off as kinds strange at first, but they are great when you want to just relax.
¤ Listen to some music. Whether it’s pop or just relaxation music, it might help your mood, try listening to happier music.
¤ Cry (if you need to). If you are in emotional pain, just let all your tears out, it will help you feel a lot better, just make sure some one is there to help you stop crying and calm you down, you can be surprised how long you can cry for!
¤ Take care of yourself. Do wash your hair, your body, hands etc. It’s better to smell good when you are in a sh*t mood.
¤ Wake up and say something positive about yourself (or write it down). This honestly works! It will help you feel more confident and positive about yourself.
The planets that aspect mercury in your natal chart influence how you process and absorb information
The type of aspect determines whether a learning style makes life easier or harder for you.
For example, a mercury-lilith trine means lilith’s influence helps you learn faster. A square between the two bodiesindicates that, although intuition is how you learn best, it is hard to access, leaving you struggling until you clear the block.
Another example- mercury-pluto trine: your obsession yields epiphanies/results; mercury-pluto square: your obsessions are your detriment and often lead no where.
With time and development, any mercury aspect can pave the way to accessing and channeling your inner genius.
mercury conjunct sun: the conjunction is the only possible aspect between mercury and the sun. This might mean your ego plays a role in how you learn. You may easily retain information that specifically applies to you, and take pride in your intelligence. This position can indicate intellectual arrogance.
mercury aspect moon: You are an emotional/intuitive learner. You remember things that elicit an emotional response, or have sentimental value. You may be inconsistent in how you absorb information, communicating everything with ease one day and unable to form a coherent thought the next. Your mental energy comes and goes in cycles.
mercury aspect venus: You may be an auditory learner with some musical talent. You might retain information better if it’s in the form of a song. You learn better by taking notes in different colors, in a calm, beautiful environment. Venus brings ease, beauty, and effortless talent to everything it touches. making this an indicator of a sharp, blessed mind.
mercury aspect mars: You learn by doing. You learn through intense, obsessive, single-minded focus. If a subject excites you or rouses your passion, you will lose yourself in it until it bores you, or until you feel you’ve mastered it. You think, speak, and act impulsively- and might get in trouble for your words.
mercury aspect jupiter: You learn the big picture. You prefer lofty theories and ideals to details and hard facts. You like making generalizations and obscure connections between topics. Jupiter “expands” everything it touches, so this is another indicator of intelligence. Check out the very first post on this blog for the possible implications of mercury aspect (esp. conjunct) jupiter (link). Basically, you might be able to channel information from the universe, if developed.
mercury aspect saturn: You learn slowly. You process information thoroughly, and take time to respond or form conclusions. You might have insecurities about your intelligence, or feel like there’s something “blocking” your mind. You may become a faster learner in later years, and retain mental acuity well into old age.
mercury aspect uranus: You are an independent learner. You don’t like school or learning from teachers. You hate traditional methods. You learn what you feel like learning and come to your own conclusions. You may be prone to sudden epiphanies and flashes of genius. This is another indicator of intelligence.
mercury aspect neptune: You are an intuitive learner. You like to “feel” the right answer, but can’t explain how you came up with it. You might have gotten in trouble for not showing your work. Like jupiter, neptune helps create a channel for spiritual/universal information. However, neptune either “dissolves” or “elevates” what it touches- making this position a possible blessing or curse.
mercury aspect pluto: You are an obsessive learner. You gain deeper insights into a small number of subjects by thinking about them over and over, for prolonged periods of time. You learn by asking hard questions and not stopping until you get answers. You are excellent at things that interest you, and completely apathetic to things you consider boring. Mercury-pluto people can see things with frightening clarity or be blinded by their emotions and paranoia. Like neptune, this can be extremely good or extremely bad.
mercury aspect lilith: You are wildly creative, unconventional, stubborn, and intuitive. You learn best by allowing your subconscious to guide you. Your mind has a mind of its own, presenting you with unusual, brilliant ideas, but preventing you from grasping numbers and hard concepts. Your difficulty with learning some things (along with supernatural mastery of others) could make you feel alienated from the world. You may have a gift for understanding the mystical/occult, at the expense of being unable to grasp solid, practical subjects.
So you’re sitting down to study and you want some background music. But when you open Spotify, you don’t really know what to pick. I know the feeling. If I’m using Spotify (and I often am) it’s easy to get overwhelmed by the number of playlists in their “Focus” category alone. But after some searching, I’ve found some all-time favorites… (Links are included in the titles)
A lot of the time, if I’m looking for studying music, I go for classical. Lyrics can be distracting, so it’s better to find something purely instrumental.
I’m using Classical World: France as an example, but Spotify has a variety of classical world playlists (from Austria to Brazil to Japan, etc). Again, this is a good mix of classical music styles from one country. My favorites are France, Japan and Spain.
This playlist is refreshing, like having the windows open on a cool summer morning. This is good when you’re just starting your day. It’s a gentle way to ease yourself into a day of studying (or writing, or reading, or drawing).
If I’m being honest, this is one of my absolute favorite playlists of all time. I use it when I need to get something done and don’t want to skip around to find something I like (even when I love a playlist I can get picky). I’ve listened to this while reading, writing, even taking a shower. It’s my go-to playlist for almost anything.
While there aren’t any lyrics in this category, I don’t classify it as “traditional classical”. These playlists are contemporary and fresh.
This playlist is a smooth blend between jazz and hip-hop. It’s extremely chill. This is great for intense studying and a quick catch-up session. Most songs fade gracefully into each other, making it easy to focus on your work.
Spotify created this playlist for Asian Pacific American History Month, and it’s a combination of traditional music from India and electronica. Incredibly relaxing, it’s great background when you’re trying to finish up a research paper or creative project. Some songs are upbeat and energizing, while others are very calming. A few songs have lyrics, but I haven’t found them distracting.
This is my first masterpost, I hope y’all like it! Hopefully I’ll be doing more soon. If you have any requests or recommendations, please inbox me!
so 2017 is here, and that means we’re all going to try to change for the better. we all know that most people don’t succeed, but why is that? my theory is that a lot of people don’t know how to keep their motivation consistent. turns out many psychologists have actually figured out a kind of equation for motivation, factors that play into whether or not we keep our resolutions, habits, and goals. i read this amazing book about this equation and“hacking” your motivation and made notes of some of the main takeaways. enjoy and happy 2017!
take advantage of “success spirals”
set yourself a series of achievable goals and then achieve all of them until you expect only success and failure is no longer familiar. this is a great way to get started living a motivated life. example: start out your new year by changing one habit that’s small enough where success is likely, and use that success to propel you to larger goals.
commit early on
choose now to limit your later options, preventing yourself form making the wrong choice in the face of temptation. signing up for a public speaking engagement that you know you should do is much easier 2 months beforehand, thereby forcing you not to chicken out when the going gets tough.
surround yourself with motivated people
have a workout or study buddy with similar goals as you. you are the average of the 5 people you spend the most time with. example: read or watch biographies of inspirational people whose lives you would like to emulate. go on a social media diet, in which you only see motivating and positive posts by motivated and positive people.
visualize the success you want to achieve, contrasting it with the life you currently live. Add in implementation intentions and process visualization for more oomph. michael phelps does this for every race, “playing the video tape” of the perfect race in his head. this allowed him to break a world record in 2008 with water in his goggles.
get into flow
flow is a psychological state characterized by being completely absorbed in whatever it is you’re doing. musicians, writers, and other creatives often report this while making their best works. how to get into flow? tasks which are too easy or too hard are not engaging, so find ways to make tasks challenging but possible. compete against yourself, or against others. getting into flow is most achievable when something is familiar to you and you can do it automatically, but it still contains mentally stimulating elements.
connect your goals to passion
look for ways to connect tasks with major life goals, so that you can remind yourself why you’re doing what you’re doing. set up extra reminders of those connections where you’ll see them (ex: every day i make my goal of saving 100 dollars i am that much closer to financial freedom). make sure you’re on a path to goals you actually want and that the journey is making you happy. If it isn’t, consider something more intrinsically motivating.
care for yourself
everything is better when you’re alert. sleep well, eat well, move your body every day, guard your circadian rhythms, and avoid burnout. cure energy lows with quality breaks, movement, sunshine, and good music. match intensive tasks with periods of high energy.
if you can’t bring yourself to do your main task, at least get some other things out of the way. it’s not perfect, but perfect is the enemy of good. get used to the act of doing consistently, rather than having things be perfect, so it doesn’t paralyze you. do not be afraid of failure, because it is the fastest way to learn.
celebrate your successes with any reward that will motivate you (treats, crazy dance parties, an hour of social media or video games?). we all know the feeling before a deadline where it seems as if our life for the next week is just a never-ending tunnel of drudgery and work.
this one is related to rewards – plan times to have as much fun as you can - this leads to more efficient recreation, and it also lets you focused on your goals during the other times, rather than just having low-grade leisure constantly tempting you as an option. ex: rather than taking a “break” every two minutes to check your instagram feed, do something that will actually burst your mood, make you laugh, or release some of the tension in your body.
