Part 02. Part 03 + Drabbles

If you were being completely honest, your issue with Jeon Jungkook began years before university.

You’d grown up close to each other, his house was right across from yours but you’d hated him from the moment you met in primary school. He’d joined you and your friends in a game of truth or dare during recess, and his dare for you had been to race him from one end of the playground to the other. You had tripped, cutting your knees open but he’d continued running, winning before realizing you weren’t behind him anymore. Only by that time, the teacher had gotten to you and you’d spent the rest of primary school glaring at Jungkook whenever he was in your sights, childishly blaming him for your scars.

Of course, you didn’t hold that grudge still. Your first year of university had just started, and it would be petty and pathetic of you to still hate him for that reason. But Jungkook had given you several more reasons to hate him throughout your years of schooling.

You’d watched throughout middle and high school as Jungkook grew from a cheeky, cocky kid, into an even cockier young man. He’d never cared much for his grades, choosing instead to throw parties with his friends, to ditch class occasionally, and rile up any girls he chose. You stayed away from him, attending different parties and sticking with your small group of friends, and by the second year of high school Jungkook became one of the most well known players of the town.

Summary: Y/N was sent to live with The Stark family at a young age, and ever since then, she seemed to fit perfectly, maybe even more than she had ever noticed.

Word Count: 1,858

A/N: Long time, no see. I don’t know how I let this sit on the backburner for so long, as it is certainly one of my favorite things to write. Now that Robb is absent from my Game of Thrones viewing, I have been coping with this, so I hope that you guys enjoy! Feedback is appreciated, as always!

Somehow, Robb had managed to disappear. You’d made plans yesterday to meet in the library before going out for a ride. Although you didn’t accompany them on hunts anymore, you did love racing through the woods with Robb and Grey Wind. Ever since Ned had brought the direwolves back for the children, you had wanted one of your own.

He had brought them back when they were less like wolves and behaved more like puppies, really. You had smiled and laughed along with your family, happy that such a small creature had brought them such joy. But, try as you might, you couldn’t hide your want from Robb.

“What’s wrong, Y/N?” he asked, tugging lightly on a bit of rope that you had procured for Grey Wind to play with.

“I was just thinking that I would very much like a dog.” You sighed, stroking your hand over Grey Wind’s fur.

“How many times are we going to have this argument?”

“I have absolutely no idea what you are talking about.” You laughed, burying your face into Grey Wind’s side.

You knew exactly what he was talking about.

When you were younger, you had come to Winterfell convinced that their house sigil was a dog. Robb had taken immediate offense, but to his credit, he bit his tongue for as long as possible. He hid his anger for a long time, but after a few days, he felt that he was going to combust if he didn’t correct you. He danced around the subject for days, before gently sitting you down in the library with the big book of house sigils.

At the tender age of four, you had mistakenly read “Wolf” as “Oelf” and Robb had never let you live it down. He brought it up often enough that you knew that one little mistake as a child was not going away anytime soon.

“Oh, Arya!” you called, spotting her hurriedly making her way around the corner. When she didn’t stop, you quickened your pace, easily catching up with her. “Arya, have you seen Robb?”

Arya took your hand, and resumed her earlier pace, explaining between her shallow breaths. “I have been looking for you all morning!” She paused for a moment, meeting your eyes before casting her glance once again to her shoes, tapping quickly on the stone. “Robb is in the infirmary.”

“I was just in the library, wait- what do you mean that Robb is in the infirmary?” You felt your heart beat quickening in your chest. It was your job to get hurt, and it was his job to baby you until you got better, and then do it all over again.

“I mean that Robb was trying to help Bran with his bow work and something went wrong.” Arya took your hand and tried to lead you to the infirmary again, but you were rooted on the spot. Your mind was a blur, you could barely think straight. “Robb is hurt. Robb is hurt. Robb is hurt” ran through your mind, a rather uncomforting mantra that was only making matters worse.

“Y/N, he’s asking for you,” Arya’s voice was calm, somehow drawing you back to the situation at hand. Robb was hurt, and he was asking for you. Arya took a tentative step toward the infirmary, wanting to make sure that you were with her. You met her eyes, nodded your head, and tried to get yourself together before you got to the Robb.

Arya threw open the door to the infirmary, and you felt yourself holding back a gasp. Arya had insisted that he was barely even hurt, that it practically a scrape, but Robb looked as if he was close to death.

“This is why it does you good to get hurt every once and awhile.” You took a seat on the bed by his side, twining your pinky with his. It was a simple act, something that the two of you had done since you were children, who didn’t want to be made fun of for holding hands. Now, it was something that felt like second nature, even if people smirked when they saw it. He gave you a look, one that you knew meant explain yourself before I wallop you over the head. “Well, Mr. Perfect never gets hurt and now a knick in the side makes you think that you are dying.”

You held your breath, waiting for a response. Jokes in times of crisis could go either way. Robb’s laughter filled the room, and you felt a weight lift off of your shoulders. It definitely wasn’t as serious as you thought that it was if he was willing to laugh at it.

You caught a glimpse of Abigayle over Robb’s head, rolling a bandage and chuckling to herself. At least she was taking your humor in stride. More than a few people had reprimanded you for your particularly unladylike jokes in times of trouble. But they always made your family laugh, and making them laugh was more important to you than being ladylike anyday.

“But you are okay?” You asked in a hushed voice. As much as it hurt you to admit it, he had scared you.

Robb tried to hold back a reaction, but despite himself his mouth quirked to the side in the annoying almost smile that he had developed when the two of you were younger. But you had been though enough with him to notice when he was holding something back.

You hadn’t missed the look that the nurse maid had given the two of you before pointedly laying down her linens and slipping out of the door, taking Arya with her. Robb tried to sit up, holding back a grimace that if you didn’t know him any better, you wouldn’t have been able to notice.

You reached forward to grab him, to help him sit up. But, before you could, his hands came to cradle your face, bringing your forehead to rest against his. If it was any other time, you would have told him to shove off, but after all of the excitement of the last few days, you needed a moment.

A moment to be alone with him, to just breathe, and accept that everything was going to be okay.

“I’m sorry that I worried you.” Robb said, his voice quiet and timid, afraid to break the silence that had taken over the room.

“You should be, it’s my job to worry you.” You said, attempting to muster a laugh. It didn’t sound like a joke, though. Your voice was shaking just the slightest bit, trying to hide the emotion behind it.

“How could I forget? It is your job to fall off of a horse and then immediately walk directly into a wall. The same wall that has been in the same spot for hundreds of years, might I add.” He laughed, a real laugh this time. A laugh that made him throw his head back and made his stomach hurt just a bit, because he really, truly meant it. And after a few moments, you couldn’t help but join him.

“Well, I don’t want to interupt, but I’ve heard that Bran has maimed my eldest.” Catelyn said, letting herself in. You were about to stand, in order to let her have your place at Robb’s side, but she lazily motioned for you to sit down, taking a spot by the fire instead.

“It was really nothing, mother.” Robb said, looping his pinky with yours again. “Bran’s bow work obviously needs a bit more work, but I am going to be good as new.”

You held in a chuckle. Bran needing more bow work was the biggest understatement that you had heard in your life. He would get there eventually, but you knew that this wouldn’t be the last time that someone ended up in the infirmary before he learned to shoot a target. Maybe Arya could help him. She was wonderful with a bow, and even though she was less patient than the boys. Then again, that might be what Bran needed if he was ever going to hit a target. You made a mental note before returning your focus to the situation at hand.

“I’m sure that you will be, after all, it seems that you have an excellent nursemaid with you.” You didn’t miss her glancing down at your hands resting on the bed. You stuck your tongue out at her.

She didn’t reprimand you, knowing that it would only encourage you further.

“Abigayle is wonderful.” you said, eyes shifting to the door that the gray-haired woman had left through a few minutes ago.

Catelyn’s eyebrows arched the slightest bit, and Robb was chuckling to himself.

“I have a feeling that my mother wasn’t talking about Abigayle.” His pinky tightened around yours, not too tightly, but enough to make you understand what he was trying to say.

They were talking about you.

“Well, I haven’t done anything.” You insisted, unsure what they were trying to say.

“We both know that Arya is going to have to drag you out of this room before you leave his side.” Catelyn laughed, standing up from her chair. “Which is why I know that I can take my leave to help Sansa and the girls with their needlepoint.” Catelyn placed a kiss on the top of Robb’s head, and then yours. “I will see you later, my loves. She said, pausing for just a moment in the doorway, before making her way out of the room.

“I don’t see what the fuss is about.” You said, untangling your pinky from his before moving to get a strip of cloth to change Robb’s bandages. Abigayle had given him fresh ones a few hours ago, but with all of the moving around he was sure to need new ones. “I help everyone when they are hurt.”

The look on Robb’s face said that he wanted to say more, and you felt a wave of relief when it seemed that he was going to hold his tongue, for now at least.

You motioned for him to take off his shirt, allowing you a better look at the wound on his side. It was a shallow wound, but it ran the length of his ribcage, jagged and rough against his pale skin. Thankfully, it looked as if it would heal in a few days. Unfortunately, you were left to coddle Robb like a child until he was good as new.

He had a tendency to be clingy when he was hurt. You didn’t honestly know if it was because it truly made him feel better, or if he liked having an excuse to be around you, even more often than usual. Your head said that it was the first option, but it was getting harder as of late to ignore what your heart was saying.

Refocusing on the task at hand, you found that you had been right, and the bandages were nearly soaked through. You made quick work of them, not allowing your fingers to linger any more than was absolutely necessary.

A long yawn escaped your lips in the middle of your explanation of a math problem. You covered your mouth as it gasped with the yawn and leaned back in the hard, wooden chair, desperately wishing it would somehow turn into your bed.

“Tired?” Jungkook asked, looking down at a piece of paper as he hurriedly wrote down what you assumed to be a note.

“A little.” You admitted with a sleepy drawl, too tired to hide the fact that you were tired and your eyes scanned over the page in the book you had been reading from, trying to find where you stopped.

When he was finished writing down his note, he glanced up at you expectantly, but once he noticed the sheer exhaustion painted plain as day on your face and weighing down your body, he sat up straight himself and cleared his throat. “We can stop, you know. If you’re tired.” His voice was a bit rushed and he sounded kind of guilty. “I-I’m sorry.” He chuckled, but it sounded forced and nervous.

It was odd to see Jeon Jungkook act nervous, when you were so used to cocky smirks and his overly confident attitude. But if there was one thing you noticed while tutoring him for the past two weeks, it was that tutoring him was a lot different than you had initially expected.

You had figured he was secretly some math genius and had only asked for your help in order to get into your pants. After all, it wasn’t exactly hard to tell that you were a virgin. And guy’s like Jeon Jungkook, loved girl’s like you.

Well, at least that’s what you thought.

Virgil had always been a ‘peculiar’ child, even though his mother told him otherwise, he knew he wasn’t normal in a few ways. One of those ways was that he had three soulmate sayings tattooed on his skin. One saying was normal, two was unusual but not unheard of, three was even less common.

The first saying is on his hip, diagonally on the right side it says “Have I met you before?” in a big, rushed print. Another was on his right shoulder, being on his back he’s admired this one less and relied on his mother at first to tell him what it said, “Shit, sorry, oh god.” not the best saying to have your mother repeat back to you at a young age but he promised not to say it, especially not in class; the writing was small and elegant. His last was on the left side of his ribs, the font was neat and almost printed, “Oh, it’s you.” Virgil couldn’t tell how this would be said, but his worst fears was that it was negative.

Alarm -Tom Holland

A/N: This one is trash. This gif and the song Alarm by Ann-Marie are responsible for this imagine, please don’t hate me. Enjoy? Part 2

I set my alarm on 3am in the morning. No I’m not a psychopath and I really love to sleep but Tom just happened to be on a whole different time zone than me. It’s been a little bit over four months since he entered a plain to fly off to film his new movie. It’s been hard. It’s been lonly. Really lonly. This distance thing was just not compatible with my emotional state and I was having a hard time. So was he. That’s the reason why I woke up at three am in the morning everyday to see his stupid face.

My alarm went off and I shut my eyes open being a little baffled for a moment. As I remembered what my alarm was for I reached for my phone and unlocked it.
Seconds later I could see Tom facetiming me and I accepted his call with a sleepy smile.
“Hey.”,I said and rolled onto my back rubbing my eyes, trying to get rid of the slight burning sensation.
“You’re really tired aren’t you?”,he said and I put my hands away immediatly.
“No? Who said that? I could run a marathon.”,I joked and winked at him.
“Shut up. You wouldn’t run a marathon at anytime of the day.”,he chuckled and I smiled again.
“You know me.”,I said and we both fell silent staring at each other and I felt my heart sink.
“I really miss you Tom.”, I finally said and my voice sounded chocked up, not as confident as I would want it to be and he sighed.
“I miss you too.”, he said and ran his fingers through his hair looking really stressed which made me worry.

“Don’t worry about it. You just have a month left.”,I said quickly and put a smile on, which didn’t feel all that real. My heart was pounding in my chest and I couldn’t put my finger on why.
“Tell me about your schedule. What’s next?”,I added and changed the subject to take his mind of the real issue.
“Oh…uh-..there is this event we’re working for which really stresses me out because it is a huge deal. There’ll be an after party to that. I don’t really know if I’ll go there, I have to do this other thing which still needs a lot of work and I’m not even sure…”

“Hey.”,I interrupted him and he looked up into the camera .
“It’s all going to be fine. Don’t stress yourself.”,I tried to calm him but he rolled his eyes.
“Yeah that’s easy for you to say.”,he said and even though I knew that he was salty because of all things he told me about, his attitude still bugged me.
“No need to be an ass about it.”,I said with furrowed brows and he ran his fingers through his hair again. Rougher this time.
“I know! I’m sorry. It’s just so overwhelming and you’re so far away and I just can’t…concentrate.”,he groaned and pressed his palms over his eyes.
“Did you tell Harrison about this, T?”,I asked now really worried but he shook his head.
“It doesn’t matter anyways. I just have to get it done.”,he said and seemed to be annoyed but I couldn’t quite tell why.
“That’s not true. It does matter. I don’t want you to get sick Tom. Please talk to him.”,I tried to convince him but he let his shoulders sink.
“I gotta go, Y/N. We’ll start shooting soon.”

“Tom…”

“I love you, darling.”,he said and blew me a kiss.

“Tom!”,I said now more persistent but he just cracked a half smile and waved into the camera.

“I love you too, dumbass. Go be awesome now.”,I said finally and and waved back before he hung up. It’s not really necessary to tell you that I didn’t sleep well that night. Might as well have ran a marathon. Would have been less tiring.

***

The nice thing about our relationship was that there were no hard feelings after a little argument like that. We just kept going on with our lives because we understood each other. I knew he was being a little butthurt because of the stress and it was understandable.
The next day I didn’t set my alarm because I waited it to be 3am like a psychopath. I was holding my phone in my hand excitedly and smiled to myself. As soon as it was 3:00am I dialled his number and waited with a big grin on my face for him to pick up.
“Hey pretty girl. What’s up?”,he picked up and I squealed while jumping up and down.
“Gues what?!”,I said inbetween my excitement and pressed my palm against my lips.

“What?”,he laughed and his eyes were glowing with curiosity which made me even happier.
“We got it! We got the apartment we were rooting for!”,I exclaimed and and threw my fists into the air.
“Did we really?!”,he said and got up from where he was standing.
“Yes. Yes. Yes! The agent called today. I didn’t want to wake you up from your sleep. You barely get any.”,I said and smiled from ear to ear.

“I wish I could’ve been there. I wish I could hold you right now.”,he sighed and let himself fall onto the couch in his trailer.
“I know. Me too. But keep your head up. We will be having our own apartment soon. Do you know what that means? I’ll be always there when you come home. Even if it is late in the night and you can come cuddle with me or not. I mean we can do lots of other things in bed, you know…Try to think of that.”,I teased him and he playfully glared at me.

“Can I tell you something?”,he asked suddenly. We fell silent and were just enjoying each others company when he broke the silence. I knew he would, I waited for him to break it because I knew something was troubling him. He had this restless expression on his face where he would furrow his brows slightly and chew on his bottom lip.
“Of course. Shoot.”,I said and looked at my feet which were leaned up against the wall. Was that a different shade of blue on my right foot? Damn it.
“I’m having troubles.”

My head shot to my phone and I saw him look down on his feet. But I didn’t say anything because I saw that he needed time to process what he was going to say.

“I’m really having a hard time over here.”, he said and fell silent for quiet some time and panick started to rise in my chest.

“What is it Tom? You can tell me.”,I assured him with a gentle voice and wished he was right next to me so I could lay my arm around him or just take his hand in mine.
He opened his mouth to go on when suddenly I heared a knock on his door.
“Wait a second…”,he said and put his phone on to the table so that I watched the ceiling for a couple of minutes.
“Darling, I need to go. There is a complication with the event next week.”,he said as he picked his phone up and I nodded.

“Yeah, thought so. Go. I’ll call you tomorrow. We really do need to talk Tom.”,I said carefully and he nodded but was lost in his thoughts.
“Love you.”,he said and after I told him also, he was gone.
That was our last nice moment I would ever remember about us. That was also the only moment he tried to tell me about his issues.

***

From that day on everything began to go downhill. While I wad at home, trying to organize the apartment thing, being excited, Tom was stressed.

“Tom?“I asked for the third time and he snapped.

“What? Y/N I really don’t have time for this and I don’t really care right now! I’m trying to organize last things about the event in three days and you are asking me about a contract? Hell I don’t know okay? I don’t care! ”,he almost yelled and I was shocked. He sighed and started massaging his temples with his free hand, obviously annoyed with me. The thing that I was bothering him with and that he didn’t really care about was our future. That hit me right in the guts. I was only asking him about when we’d be able to sign the contract. A simple question. I felt a knot build in my throat and my eyes started watering and I became angry with myself. I looked down not wanting him to see how much he got to me.

“Darling, I’m sorry. Everyone is pressuring me right now. I didn’t mean to take it out on…”

“I think we should hang up.”,I interrupted him and didn’t look up, trying to gather myself together before I would look into his eyes.

“Y/N please! I didn’t mean-…I wasn’t…”

“I need to go Tom. Go finish your work. I’ll finish mine.”,I interrupted him again and he fell silent.

“Bye.”,I only said and hung up on him without waiting for an answer.
He called four times after I hung up and sent me three messages but I ignored all of them. If I talk to him right now, this is going to become a huge argument. We’re both on the edge of our nerves and we don’t need to stress that.

We didn’t talk for three days in which his important event happened. I had time to cool off and called him the morning after the event but he didn’t pick up. He was probably asleep with a huge headache. I smiled to myself imagening him having a hangover and sleeping it out, on his belly, face burried into the pillow. I called him five hours later but he didn’t pick up. Now it was getting a little weird because he should be awake by now. I shrugged my shoulders and decided to wait and not push him. He was probably still busy. Post event things? Who knows. I made myself a nice cup of sugary tea and chose a movie to watch while I waited for him to call back.

But he didn’t.

I called him the following two days three times a day but he did not answer once. Finally, it was a thursday night, I called Harrison when my alarm went off at 3am in the morning.
“Hey!”,he picked up and I exhaled thankfully.
“Harrison! Thank god! Is Tom with you?”,I said immediatly and and walked up and down in my living room.
“Y/N! Hey- yeah,uh…i mean no. He is not. He is…out?”,he stuttered and I furrowed my brows.

“Harrison.”,I said with a warning tone.

“Alright I’m officially stepping out of this. You guys need to talk. That’s all I’m going to say. No Tom I won’t shut up. You shut up. Gosh! You’re the one with the problem and I am…”, he kept talking but the rest got cut off as he hung up. Oh shit. This was about the other night. I broke his heart. I should have been supporting him through his stressfull times but I blocked him. I pushed him away.

I took my phone and wrote him a message.

Dearest love,
I fucked up. I am so sorry for pushing you away when you needed me the most. I’m sorry for being a bitch (even though you were a dick to me before that but that is long forgiven)
Tom, I always want to be by your side even if you have to be away for several months for shooting and promo. I’ll be done with college in a year and than I’ll be able to travel with you. We’ll have the best time of our lives. I’ll be waiting for your return in two weeks. We’ll talk this out when you come back, just know that I still love you. From all my heart.

I sent it and waited for an answer with a big smile on my face. The smile faded with every passing minute. He didn’t reply and I was left a crying mess the whole night. I messed up big time.

***

I came back from college the next day feeling numb the whole time and threw myself on the couch. I didn’t eat much and my body felt sore. I was watching a TV show when someone knocked on the door. When I looked at the clock I wondered who it could be. It was past midnight.
When I opened the door I couldn’t believe my eyes.

“Tom?!”,I squealed and threw myself around his neck, pulling his body close to mine, breathing in his scent.
“What are you doing here?! Come in!”,I said and pulled him inside closing the door behind us.
“I missed you so much.”, I sighed and pulled him towards me again and placed my lips against his. It took him some time to kiss me back but when he did I felt my heart lighten. Like a weight was lifted from my shoulders.
He pulled away after a few seconds and stepped back. I was going to say something but he held me off.

“We need to talk.”,he said and his chocked up voice made my body stiffen.
“What is it?”,I said and furrowed my brows worriedly.
He looked up from the floor and I thought my heart stopped when he looked into my eyes. His beautiful brown eyes were red and watery from crying, his lips were trembling and swollen because of the constant biting.

“Tom what happened?”, I said now panick rising in my voice and then it hit me.

“First I want you to know that I still love you with all my heart and I am so, so sorry for what happened. You’re the only one I love, you have to believe me…”

“What happened?”,I interrupted him and formed my hands into fists by my side trying to controll my rising anger. This couldn’t be happening.

“I cheated on you.”

My world stopped spinning. My heart stopped pounding. Everything was awefully silent. It was too loud.

“What did you say?”

“Please, you have to listen to me! I’m begging you. I didn’t mean to…I was anxious and stressed. Frustrated really. I know these aren’t excuses for what I did but…”

“Did you kiss her?”,I interrupted him without listening to him and he held his breath.

“Answer me! Did you?!”,I screamed and he nodded.

“I did.”

“Did-…Did you sleep with her?”

Inhale.

Exhale.

Inhale.

Exhale.

Inhale.

“I did.”

I fucked up. I am so sorry. My words echoed in my head. I am so fucking dumb.

Before I knew what I did I already had smacked him right across his face. My whole body was shivering and it felt like the room was spinning.
A sobb escaped my throat and I pressed my palm against my mouth to stop the rest. I just threw myself at him and kissed him like a fucking moron! My sight got blurry because of the tears in my eyes and finally they escaped. It was a silent cry. One where you know that it has no point. One you know, will destroy you.
I stumbled back slowly and shook my head trying to get rid of the images my mind made up of him being tangled in bed with another.

“Please you need to listen to me. It was a big mistake. You have to believe me. I don’t even know her. It just…happened. I was confused and on edge. I am so sorry. Please forgive me. I need you to…”

“Shut up. Shut up! Shut the fuck up!”, I screamed and pulled at my own hair while shaking my head furiously. And then I went mad. I stormed towards him and started throwing punches and pushed him backwards out of the room while yelling at him.

“Get out! Get the fuck out! I don’t want to see you. Leave!”

I slammed the door shut and slid to the floor balling my eyes out for the love of my life. He did the same thing on the other side of the door.

The alarm in my bedroom went off. It was time to call him.

He fucked up big time.

Head in his hands, Peter’s chest felt tighter than it ever had before. He could feel his heart, heavy as it was, beating slowly, reluctantly, behind his ribcage. The gentle shattering of it was all he knew how to feel at this point, and he figured the sheer pain was bound to crush him eventually, if it hadn’t already. He’d felt this agony before, twice in fact, but his identity as Spider-Man made him confident that as long as he continued to fight the way he did, he would be able to protect his loved ones for quite sometime, never having to go through this sort of suffering again.

Yet there he was, his head resting against the wall of his messy bedroom as he slumped against his bed with his eyes closed, wishing it was him that had almost bled out instead of you.

God, how he wished it had been him instead of you, the one good, pure, beautiful thing in his life. His heart was aching at the thought of you lying in that hospital bed instead of him, comatose for three days before you woke up, your ribs on the mend and twenty three stitches scarring your cheek. And it was his fault, all of it.

He wasn’t there to walk you home that night, the way he did every other night. If only he’d been a bit more stubborn, more determined to get to you. He did, in the end, but he hadn’t been fast enough. Not even nearly fast enough. He’d been two blocks from you when it happened. If only he had ran faster. He called you to let you know he was on his way, not to move until he was there because he was going to be there and he was going to walk you home no matter what even if it meant missing curfew- curfew didn’t matter to him that much as long as he knew you were safely sitting in your apartment.

“Hey my love,” he had greeted you, “I’m on my way. Don’t move until I get there. Please. Be safe, I love you. I’ll be there in five minutes.” You had picked up your phone to reply to the voicemail, but your phone ended up smashed on the ground before you could, knocked out of your hand. There was a tight grip on your hair, tied back in a ponytail because of the summer heat, and you barely had time to register what was happening.

Peter arrived three minutes after. He was confused. You always answered his calls back relatively quickly, and while he understood that sometimes you just forget or were busy, he was worried. It was ten o'clock at night, he knew you had your phone on you-

He stopped short when he saw your phone, open to his voicemail, lying there on the ground with the screen cracked and no sign of you anywhere. He could feel his blood running cold as he picked it up, staring around the empty street. Then, he heard the agonizing screams, exploding in his skull. And though each part of him was pleading to every higher power he could think of that it wasn’t, he knew it was you. He ran toward the sound, and he could feel his heartbeat in his throat and in his ears and in his head. He heard footsteps rounding hurriedly rounding a corner behind him but didn’t bother to look back. He didn’t give a shit about the attacker, not right now.

It was you that mattered. You, who he dropped to his knees beside. He cradled your head in his arms, the way he had done so many times before except this time the side of your face was gushing blood in a way he had never seen. “Y/N, Y/N, oh my god, oh my god,” his voice broke. “You’re gonna be okay. You’re gonna be fine. I swear, you’re gonna be okay, baby. I promise.”

“Peter? Oh, hi Peter,” you smiled weakly up at him, your eyes drifting between open and closed. “My- my head hurts, Peter, it hurts really bad-” You must’ve hit your head on the concrete.

“Just keep your eyes open, baby, okay, just keep them open for me.” He fumbled around for his cell phone, dialing 911 as quickly as his clumsy fingers could manage. He was still holding you in his arms, trying to quell the bleeding with a ripped part of his t-shirt but you were bleeding everywhere and it was so hard to keep up- “I have an emergency, please you need to get here as soon as possible please I have a person here who was attacked we’re on- Y/N? Baby, c’mon, c’mon- stay with me?” He repeated the address to the operator and hung up. “Stay with me, Y/N, please stay with me, don’t die on me, you can’t, don’t leave me, please.”

He didn’t know what else to do besides wait. He could hear the faintest sounds of the ambulance in the distance but he couldn’t hear you breathing and that was the only thing he wanted to hear. He gently shook your shoulders, his vision blurry, “C’mon, my love, please don’t leave me just yet- you’ve gotta stay with me, please, Y/N.” And he was crying, crying, crying into your hair and clutching you so tightly he was afraid of suffocating you. Your heartbeat was barely there. “You’re gonna be okay. You have to stay here.” The rest of the night was a blur from there. He rode in the ambulance to Jamaica Hospital, sat in the waiting room with tears streaming down his face and snapping at people who gave him pitying looks, even if they were trying to be sympathetic.

Aunt May arrived there, too, because Peter had been questioned by the police and they had called her to be there. They knew the Parkers. Uncle Ben had been attacked, too. When she got there, Peter had collapsed in her arms in the middle of the lobby, crying harder than she had ever seen, blood soaking through his shirt. Your parents got there next, your little brother so terrified at the sight of your boyfriend standing on wobbly legs. They told him that if Peter hadn’t found you, you might not have made it. That he saved you.

But as he walked into your hospital room hours later after your surgery, he felt like the most pathetic excuse for a hero the world has ever seen. He had never felt like less of a hero. What sort of savior was he, if you were lying there, eyes closed and hooked up to a heart monitor? What type of hero was that?

He wasn’t one. That was the end of that.

Peter hadn’t been to visit you since, not even when your brother had texted him that you were awake. He couldn’t. He didn’t deserve to. It should have been him. Never you. Everyone tried to convince him otherwise. Ned pleaded with him to visit, Michelle had confronted him in the middle of the cafeteria and made him cry, Flash told anyone who would listen that Peter was a terrible boyfriend- and Peter couldn’t bring himself to disagree. He just hung his head and accepted the torment and did everything in silence from then on. He kept his earbuds in for most of the day, just so he didn’t have to listen to anyone ask him about you.

“Honey, you know she’s asking for you,” May said, leaning against the doorframe of his room. He turned his head away. “You can’t hide from her, Peter. You love her. I know you blame yourself for this-” He didn’t reply, but he turned his music up louder and threw his comforter over himself.

She was right, as she usually was. He still didn’t want to listen. May sighed. He’d come around eventually. Peter felt a slight vibration next to him, opening his eyes to see a message from Happy.

Tony wants to see you. Now.

Peter texted back, I’m busy. Can’t.

Another text came in. He says it’s urgent.

With a groan, Peter got out of bed. His legs were shaking from lying down so long. He couldn’t imagine how it would feel for you once you were able to get out of bed. He locked his door so May couldn’t walk in and see that he had left. He put on his suit, slipping the mask over his face even though he knew he didn’t even deserve to hold the title of superhero right now. He knew he would meet Tony at the roof of Peter’s building, peeling the mask away from his face as he waited for him to arrive.

His Iron Man suited landed him behind with a soft thud. Peter didn’t look. “Are you really here or is it just the stupid suit again?” He asked, harsher than he meant to. The metal creaked.

“I’m here, kid,” Tony said, his hand resting on Peter’s shoulder when he came up behind him.

“Happy said you needed me. What is it?” Peter wanted to get right to the point so he could crawl back under his covers and listen to the saddest playlist he could find.

“You should really go visit Y/N.”

“Who told you about that?” He turned to look up at Mr. Stark, confusion flashing across his face. He brushed his hand off his shoulder. “I can’t, anyway.” Peter looked back toward the city, Manhattan just beyond reach.

“Your aunt called me. She thought you’d listen to me more than her. Which is wrong, by the way. She’s a very wonderful woman and you should listen to her often.” Tony was only joking, trying to get the kid to exhibit some sort of emotion other than sadness.

Peter glared. “Stop hitting on my aunt.” Well, now he was angry. Close enough. “I don’t want to visit Y/N, okay? It’s my fault she’s in there, my fault she almost died. If I had just gotten there sooner, this never would’ve happened. You should just take this suit away from me again, because I don’t deserve it. I’m an awful person. I’m not a hero.”

“Kid, you can’t save everyone. That’s part of the job. But one thing you did do was save Y/N. Even if you don’t think so. You think she’d be alive right now if you hadn’t found her? Probably not. You’re lucky you did. I know that she knows that, too. You can’t beat yourself up over this. Y/N is alive, Peter. You have to go and see for yourself.” Tony walked away, stepping back into his own suit. “No one blames you. So stop blaming yourself, and stop being so damn self deprecating. That’s my thing.”

He left Peter there, with his legs dangling off the edge of the building. Finally, he swung back down through his window, put on regular clothes and pulled sneakers onto his feet. He brushed his hair, he splashed cold water on his face. He unlocked his bedroom door and walked out into the living room where May was sitting on the couch with a book propped open on her lap.

Clearing his throat, Peter gave her a shaky smile. “Do I look okay?”

May clasped her hands together, beaming at her nephew. “You look great. Y/N will think so, too.” Peter nodded, walking over to give his aunt a kiss on the cheek.

He walked out of the apartment with his hands shoved in his pockets, got on the E train, and tried to remain calm. You’d been awake for nearly three days now, he should’ve been there sooner. A week in the hospital and Peter had only been there beside you when you were passed out, and even then, only once. He showed up at the hospital a good ten minutes before visiting hours were over, thank God. He would’ve stayed in the lobby all night if he had been forced to, but this made things so much easier.

Your door opened slowly, and you sat up in bed. Your family had just left a half hour ago, there was no way they were back yet. Then, you saw that familiar, hesitant stance, the messy honey colored hair, the Midtown sweatshirt that he practically lived in, and breathed a sigh of relief. “It’s about time, Parker.”

He shook his head as he laughed, sitting down at the chair next to your bed and taking it all in. You looked perfectly fine, healthy even, but you would have a scar marring the side of your face for the rest of your life and he knew there was a gash deep in your side, which was how you had almost died in the first place. He knew your two of your ribs had been practically kicked in and that you had bruises covering your torso. But you were still radiant, grinning at him. So happy that he was there.

“I know, I’m sorry,” he held out his hand, and you held it. “D’you hate me?”

“For what?” You furrowed your brow.

“For not getting there in time to walk you home.” He let out a long, slow breath, his voice hitching. “I- I should’ve ran to be with you. I knew something like this would happen and you almost died. I suck at everything. I even suck at the one thing I thought I was good at. I’m a shit boyfriend and a shit Spider-Man. Your parents kept telling me that I was a hero. But if I was, I would’ve gotten there in time to strangle whoever did this to you. This wouldn’t have happened to you at all if I was really a hero.”

He rubbed his eyes with his sweater sleeve. “I don’t deserve-”

Without thinking, you pressed your finger to his lips. “I never thought I would say this but Peter, my love, please shut up. Right now.” He gulped, then nodded. “You are worthy of a million great things. You deserve to be a hero, to be Spider-Man. If you weren’t, you wouldn’t have that suit that you put on every night. You wouldn’t go out and save people every day. You not only deserve to be a hero, but you are one. If not in your eyes, in mine.”

   “But-”

“No,” you said firmly. “You are a hero, Peter Parker. You saved my life. I don’t care what you think about yourself because that’s what I think. And I-” You stopped. You didn’t want him to think you were just saying it because he rescued you. That was the last thing you wanted. People said crazy things after they were saved by someone, and if he thought that was the case here, you’d feel awful.

“Y/N, you don’t have to say it…” He raised his hand to your face, bringing you closer to him. Your foreheads touched lightly and your eyes closed.

“I mean it, though.” You pressed a kiss to his lips, mumbling it against him, “I love you. I mean it. I love you and your heroism and your intelligence and your kindness and the way that you think you’re funny even though you’re not. I really love you.”

He grinned against your lips, a weight lifted off his shoulders. He felt feather light. He pulled away just slightly, so he could look at you as he said it. “I love you, too. More than anything. If you had died, I don’t know what I would have done. I would have been a wreck. Thank you for staying with me. Thank you for holding on. I love you.” Now that he had said the three words that set his mind spinning, he didn’t think he would ever stop saying.

“You wanna know how I held on?”

   “How?”

“I listened to the voice of my hero, of my Peter. I heard you.” You rest your head against your pillow. “I wasn’t about to leave you just yet. We still have a long way to go together.” You moved over, leaving room on the pillow for him. “There’s no room on the bed, can you just sleep on the pillow? I don’t want you to leave.”

“Of course.” He didn’t care that it’d be uncomfortable. “Anything for you.”

His heart soared when you squeezed his hand, saying quietly, “My hero.”

Unwanted Attention

Hi guys! This has been in my drafts for ages and I completely forgot about it until yesterday! Hope you enjoy. :)

Plot: Harry has this one friend who loves hitting on Y/N.

Warnings: Curse words and handsy moments while dancing. Nothing smutty and nothing violent though.

There was something off about Jordan. His icy blue eyes followed my movements like a hawk observing his prey and when he noticed me staring back at him he flashed me one of his sleazy grins. He was a handsome guy, there was no denying that, but from the moment he’d been introduced to me I could sense that he simply wasn’t one to take a hint. It wasn’t even about me being too pretty and him just finding me irresistible, not by any means. It was that Jordan couldn’t bear a girl not wanting him. His brain simply couldn’t comprehend how I hadn’t fallen to his feet yet. I shuddered under his sharp eyes and shrunk further into the warmth of Harry’s side. Harry didn’t look at me but responded by resting his arm around my shoulders and leaning his head against mine momentarily while chuckling along to one of Nick’s jokes, giving me comfort without having even noticed that I needed it. My eyes found Jordan’s once more and my heart dropped when he was still grinning, wider this time and with his brows raised. Almost as if he was trying to say that he accepted the challenge.

Harry laughed loudly, squeezing me to him and I straightened my posture staring back at Jordan confidently. My hand rested on Harry’s chest, the other arm wrapped around his back and my temple leaned against his arm. I was saying something back clearly. The only reason I was here was Harry and Jordan could fuck off.

….

It was a friday night what naturally meant that Harry wanted to go out. From the moment I opened the door for him to enter my apartment he’d been talking about nothing else other than this bar which had only just opened in East London. Thanks to his ever charming soul he’d become friends with the owner and owned one of the few invitations to the opening party tonight.

“You’ve got to come with me,” Harry insisted, “Nick and Jordan are coming, too.”

“Sounds like a guy’s night out then,” I murmured, trying to decline his proposal as nicely as I could, “I don’t think I should intervene, Harry.”

“As if you’d intervene,” Harry said quickly, rolling his eyes as if I was being completely absurd, “You couldn’t possibly. C'mon, love, you’ve got to!”

Honestly, a night out with Harry sounded perfect. I loved seeing him dance, hearing him sing and laughing along to all of the silly puns tipsy Harry could come up with. We had spent many fun nights out together, starting with him helping me choose a dress and me painting his nails and ending with the both of us dropping on either his or my bed, too drunk to care about sleeping in our cloths and in each other’s arms.
Harry was the best company and every moment I got to spend with him was one I treasured. I didn’t like having to avoid Harry in order to avoid Jordan, but he’d already invited him and no matter my feelings for Harry, his friend truly was the last person I wanted to spend my night with. But at the same time… ugh.
I groaned and let my head fall back onto the couch, turning to look at Harry who was sprawled out next to me. He wore a hopeful look, his sparkling eyes wide and his lips set in a pout.

“Please,” he whined, “Nick’s been bugging me by calling you ‘Harry’s best friend who never turns up’ and he’s kinda right with it.”

“Oh shut up,” I laughed.

He rolled onto his side and began pulling at my arm, making me lay down as well so we were both facing each other. I hummed when his hand found mine so he could move his thumb over my palm in a soothing motion and I smiled at him lovingly, enjoying to just be able to appreciate him without him noticing, his gaze set on my fingers. His forehead was furrowed and his lips still in a pout, his expression resembling the one of a little boy who failed to understand something.

“We don’t even have to stay long,” Harry mumbled, focus still on my hand, “let’s just go, please.”

“Ugh,” I groaned and let my head drop against his shoulder in defeat, “fine.”

“Yehi!” Harry cheered, surprising me by jumping up with a sudden energy bolt and he threw himself onto my body, not caring one bit that his weight was crushing me.

His lips met the skin of my cheek in a loud kiss and I grimaced, batting his face away while laughing.

“It’s going to be great, you’ll see,” Harry promised, his cheeks stretched in a wide and confident grin.

I smiled and chuckled at how happy and cheery Harry was all of a sudden, but at the same time I couldn’t help a tiny pang of guilt in my tummy. He was thrilled to be going out and looked forward to spending the night with his friends and all I could think about was how this meant I would practically be exposed for Jordan to ogle me all night, silently undressing me with his eyes.
I watched Harry laugh as he went on with a story Jeff had told him and I wrapped my arms around his chest, cuddling into his side and I made a point of humming whenever it fit, letting him know that I was listening. Maybe tonight wouldn’t be all bad, I thought as I noticed the crinkles around his eyes and breathed in his familiar smell. After all, I wouldn’t be alone.

….

The alcoholic liquid left a heavy taste on my tongue and wrapped my head in a cloudy daze making me dizzy momentarily. My throat burned and I mentally cursed Harry for making me engage in his stupid drinking games. Still, I set the empty glass down only seconds after Harry smashed his own onto the countertop, scoring in second. Harry cheered and let his dimples show when he grinned widely and he held out his hand to high five me just when Jordan and Nick finished their shots too.

“I’d say we all know who’s the winner,” Harry announced proudly with a drop of tequila running down his chin and Nick rolled his eyes.

The bar was as crowded as I had expected it to be on a friday night, causing people to stumble into me whenever someone tried to reach the bar. The music was loud and everyone around us was dancing and laughing, enjoying the relaxed atmosphere of the building. So far Harry had been right, at least up until a few minutes ago. We’d been drinking good drinks and my tummy ached from laughing so hard at his stupid jokes, so it was hard to deny I was having fun. The best thing was that Jordan hung out with a group of girls for most of the night so far, only joining us minutes ago when he was done bathing in the girl’s attention. I’d lowered my gaze under Jordan’s watchful eyes and had hoped he’d just leave again.
Harry had stayed oblivious to me scooting a little closer to him and so had Nick. Only Jordan had noticed and his eyes had narrowed, never letting me out of sight.

“Such a show off, Styles,” Nick laughed and playfully pushed Harry by his shoulder, “Your victory was a close call between you and your bestie over there so don’t get too cocky.”

“I’m aware,” Harry laughed and send me a proud smile.

I giggled and shrugged, fist-pumping Harry.
He looked incredibly handsome, especially with the newly gained growth of his hair, the stubborn curls already fighting their way back. I knew he missed the length of his hair, but I secretly loved the short strands crowning his head. They were less likely to shield his pretty face from my view. Though I admired him for his effortless attractiveness, it bugged me how he could pull off anything and looked good even with his typical jeans and dad-shirt look. Everything suited him, which was surely caused by his confidence.

“But that’s on me, too,” Harry continued proudly, pushing our used shot glasses together so he could pick them all up in both of his massively big hands, “Who do you think taught her?”

Nick raised both arms with a laugh and looked at me for confirmation. A giggle fell from my mouth at the memory of Harry spending the night at my place many months ago, the counter of my kitchen littered with shot glasses and different spirit bottles as he lectured me on how it was my tongue’s fault that I couldn’t do it right. He’d even argued that the muscle in my mouth must have been to big and that I’d need to move it to the side more. The result of me trying had been a stained shirt and wet chest and of course a laughing Harry, but at least I was good at it now.

“S'true,” I agreed, “You won’t admit it but your instructions only worked 'cause I’m a talented student.”

Harry laughed. “Oh, so my teaching skills are shit, then? S'that what you’re trying to tell me?”

I was about to reply when Jordan’s rough voice interrupted us in a snarl, “Jesus Christ we get it. You guys are fucking each other just stop bullshitting us.”

He rolled his eyes, no humor in his expression and he seemed as if he was completely done with Harry and me. I shook my head and wanted to bite something back, but reconsidered and stayed silent. Harry had been so excited to spend time with his friends, I didn’t want to ruin it by starting a fight.

“Oh, piss off, Jordan,” Harry scoffed with a laugh.

“Oi,” Nick called, raising his brows at me with a teasing grin on his face, “What did I miss?”

He looked at me expectantly as if I was about to tell him the greatest story he’d ever heard. I gave him a playful push back.

“You guys,” I began, “are assholes.”

Harry chuckled, shaking his head, “I’ll get us another round.”

He nodded to the other end of the bar where all of the bartenders were gathered and turned to walk towards it, taking the glasses with him. How the hell could he fit them all in both of his hands? Thinking the same, Nick was quick to offer help and so he was gone and after Harry before I could beg him to stay.
Well… fuck. I was left in the exact situation I’d hoped I wouldn’t be in, one I’d dreaded so much it had made me want to avoid coming here in the first place. Already I could feel Jordan’s creepy vibe on me almost like a haze covering my body and my skin prickled. Silently I climbed to sit on Harry’s barstool, hoping to get away with distracting myself by my phone and to avoid any conversation with the unpleasant guy until my friends returned.

Jordan seemed to have other plans.

“You’re ignoring me now?” Jordan laughed mockingly, “Really? That’s ridiculous of you, doll.”

I tensed at the nickname and bit the inside of my cheek, then I turned off my phone and met Jordan’s eyes. You’re a prick, my head screamed at him and my hands clenched in need to smack his stupid grin off his face.

“How about we just wait in silent for Nick and Harry to come back?” I asked, my voice surprising me with a lot more confidence than I’d anticipated.

Jordan laughed once more, throwing his head back. “Well, I’m a rather vocal guy. You’d know if you’d quit playing hard to get and just give in to me.”

I visibly cringed and jerked back from the guy when he scooted closer, leaning into me so there were only few centimeters separating us. He picked up the abandoned beer bottle he’d been sipping on throughout the night and took two more gulps, allowing his eyes to stay fixated on me. Again he resembled so much a hawk who had found his prey of choice and was not going to stop before he got it.

“So,” He began, voice now sweet like honey, “You’re hooking up with him now, huh?”

I but my lip at the mention of Harry and shrugged his words off with a muttered “no”, raising my head to search for Nick and Harry in the crowd, hoping to see them on their way back. Unfortunately they hadn’t even reached the bartenders yet and when I looked back at Jordan, I could tell we were thinking the same thing. I’d be alone for a while with no one coming to save me.

“Looks like they’re going to be gone for quite a bit,” Jordan commented and he grinned at me, exposing his perfectly white teeth, “would be a shame if we just sat here moping, wouldn’t it?”

“I’m good,” I replied calmly, hoping he would let it go which of course he didn’t.

Jordan stepped closer, titled his head to the side and looked at me closely, similar to how a costumer checks the meat at the butcher’s when selecting what to have. My breath hitched when his fingers rested on my knee and he chuckled, moving them in a scratching motion and squeezing every now and again, making sure he prevented me from moving away. His tongue slipped out, wetting his lips and I pushed his hand away forcefully, only for him to grasp my wrist.

“C'mon,” he announced, pulling me from the stool and to my feet in a swift yank, “If Harry can teach you how to drink with a man, I’ll show you how to dance with one.”

Waiting for an answer or my consent seemed to be a waste of time to him and before I could react he’d pulled me off my stool and away from the bar. Soon we were surrounded by sweating and moving bodies, the music over here so loud I could feel the beat drum through my body. Jordan pulled me further and deeper into the crowd of humping people until he seemed satisfied with our location, far away from the counter to which Harry would return to soon. Jordan came to a swift halt and turned around to face me, releasing my wrist but encircling my waist so quickly I couldn’t move away. His arms tightened and he hummed, pulling me into his body so my chest was pressed against his. My hands settled onto his waist and I tried to push him off with as much strength as I could muster, yet I failed. His skin was hot and sweaty beneath my fingertips and I shuddered upon feeling his breath at my throat when he leaned in. His head pressed against mine and his fingers squeezed my hips.

“Jordan,” I urged into his ear, “let me go.”

Panic started to crawl through every vein of my body until I went rigid and my skin was littered with goosebumps. My throat was dry and all my brain screamed at me to do was to get out of the situation, to run away and hide from this gross man. Only how? His hold on me was too forceful and tight I had no chance of fighting him off. The only people who could help me were Harry and Nick and they had no idea where I was and would surely not be able to spot me in the sea of people either.
Ignoring my request, Jordan grabbed my hips tighter, his hold almost bruising and I gasped in shock when he began to move his own hips forward in a rough thrust, allowing our crotches to meet. I squealed and flinched back immediately, only to be pulled forward and held against Jordan’s body.

“C'mon, babe,” he laughed and repeated the movement of his hips, “Bet you’d let Harry have a go, huh? Why not me? S'it 'cause I’m not as rich as him? Or famous? Trust me babe, I can show you a better time, you’ll see.”

My stomach sunk and I shook my head. Unwanted tears shot to my eyes and spilled over when he moved both arms so he could rest his hands on my back, pushing me against his own body and moving me so I was forced to dance with him. He treated me like I was a doll and that sickened me more than anything.

“Let go,” I demanded, my voice now nothing more than a weak whimper, “You’re hurting me.”

To my great luck one of the girls dancing around us slipped in that moment and tumbled into Jordan, catching him off guard and knocking him right off of me. His arms loosened and I took my chance to push them away before fighting my way through the mass of people and away from him as fast as I my feet could carry me. I didn’t care how ridiculous I must have looked and didn’t stop until my eyes landed on the familiar and comforting sight of Harry and Nick standing at the bar where they’d expected me to wait for them. Neither of them saw me coming and when Harry looked up I had already thrown myself at him, embracing his shoulders tightly.

“Wow,” Harry laughed and Nick chuckled, but I didn’t react and only pushed my face closer into Harry’s warm neck in an attempt at shutting everything around me out.

My body was still trembling and I swallowed repeatedly to keep stop crying. Only now did it truly sink in how forceful Jordan’s hands had been as I felt his hold on my skin as if it was still there. The skin tingled and burned. Surprised by my sudden neediness Harry wrapped his arms around me loosely and leaned his head against mine, allowing his nose to run along my cheek. With him it didn’t feel threatening or harsh, quite the opposite. With simple touches and without intending it, Harry calmed my distraught emotions.

“What’s wrong?” Harry asked with a gentle hum, amusement clear in his tone.

I just shook my head and loosened my hold on him reluctantly, only enough to not be strangling him. Harry pulled me into his side and held me there, smiling down at me with warmth in his green orbs.

“Where were you anyway?” Nick chuckled in, “We go get drinks for you guys and you reward us by disappearing.”

“There she is!”

Jordan’s voice roared from my right and I whimpered quietly, scooting further into Harry’s arms and away from Jordan. My head turned into his direction and I caught him staring at me with piercing eyes.

“Back with your lover,” he spoke in a chuckle, shaking his head, “fucking perfect.”

My face burned and I clenched my hands into fists. “Go fuck yourself, Jordan.”

Nick’s eyes widened at my sudden outburst and raised voice and he stepped closer. I could feel Harry’s fingers curl against my bare back, yet he didn’t loosen his hold. Instead he turned his body so he was facing Jordan as well and when I looked up his jaw was set and his eyes narrow, yet not at me but at Jordan.

“You guys what is going on?” Nick demanded to know.

Jordan faced Harry’s hard stare. “Have fun with her, I’m done.”

“Excuse me?” Harry demanded perplexed, though I could hear a hint of anger and his body froze.

I let my hand drop and rest against Harry’s chest, earning his attention and shaking my head at him. “Leave it.”

Jordan sighed exasperatedly and rolled his eyes once more. “I need a drink. Let me know when you’re done gawking at each other.”

He stormed off before either of us had a chance to reply. Nick turned to me and Harry let go of his hold so he could look at me as well. Their expression said the same. What on earth had just happened?

“Bloody hell,” Nick blurted, “What was that all about?”

My cheeks still burned and I closed my eyes, brushing against the heated skin of my face as I tried to collect my thoughts and form a proper sentence, one that wouldn’t send Harry off and after Jordan.

“We danced,” I began timidly.

“Yeah, we figured that much,” Nick nodded, “And? What set him off? Your lack of sense for rhythm?”

“Nick,” Harry barked and the smile faded on Nick’s face, slowly realizing the seriousness of the situation.

“Well,” I cleared my throat, “I didn’t exactly want to dance. He sort of made me and I got really uncomfortable after he wouldn’t let go and once he did I came back here. That must have pissed him off.”

“He made you dance?” Harry inquired, his eyes hardened and he held his breath, “How?”

I looked at him hesitantly and bit my lip. There was no easy or harmless way of saying this so I stayed silent all together. Honestly, I felt bad. Though Jordan hadn’t been part of Harry’s friendship group for long, I knew he liked him and me having a problem with Jordan would complicate things.
Harry’s tongue slipped out, wetting his lips. Suddenly his attention fell down to where his hand had subconsciously taken ahold of my wrist. Something in his expression changed and my chest felt tight. Harry’s worried gaze met mine momentarily, then he raised my arm up so he could get a closer look of my skin. One glance sufficed.

Harry’s fingers interlocked with mine and he gave them a gentle squeeze, his eyes full of sudden sadness and set on my face, silently communicating that he was sorry. My eyes watered and I bit the inside of my cheek, my own fingers squeezing his hand reassuringly. It wasn’t Harry’s fault.

“I’m going to kill him,” Harry promised me, voice stern and his eyes wide, “I promise.”

“Wha-” Nick began but Harry interrupted him.

“Her wrist is red, Nick! That’ll bruise for sure! Where else did he touch you, Y/N? Does it hurt?”

“Maybe my hip,” I replied hesitantly, tightening my grip on his hand.

A small noise left Harry’s mouth and he responded by wrapping me into a hug.

“I’m so sorry,” he repeated quietly into my ear, his breath tickling my neck.

“And that was Jordan?” Nick asked form behind me, “I never knew he was such a prick.”

“I did,” I muttered into Harry’s chest, my words quiet but he heard.

Harry’s hands set on my ribs and he slowly pushed me off, careful to be tender. When my eyes met his I shuddered. He looked incredibly angry.

“Are you saying he’s done that before?” Harry growled.

“No,” I replied quickly, “But… he’d stare. Longer than he needed to and especially when I’m with you he wouldn’t stop. And whenever you guys would leave he’d make stupid innuendos.”

Harry shook his head, sighing and closing his eyes momentarily. “I should have noticed.”

A frown took over his face and he pouted, adapting his child-like look and I couldn’t fight the smile from crawling onto my face. I reached out one hand and squeezed his arm.

“Don’t be silly, Harry.”

Nick watched us observantly and nodded. “He’s right though. We should have payed more attention. And I was the one who brought him around for the first time, too. I’m sorry.”

“Wait 'till I get my fingers on him,” Harry promised, his eyes fierce as they locked with mine, “He has no right to so much as think of you in that way, let alone touch you. I won’t have it.”

His head shot up and his eyes searched for Jordan’s face. I shook my head and stepped closer to him, raising both hands to his cheeks so I could guide his head and force him to look at me.

“Harry, leave it, okay?” I spoke sternly, “Please. I’m fine, I swear.”

“Fine?” Harry barked, “Your skin is red! Because of him! Y/N if you think I will just stand by while some dick mistreats you then you’re wrong. I will-”

“No, you won’t,” I interrupted, “It doesn’t matter anymore. He’s gone. And in the future you’ll know not to leave me alone with him.”

“As if I’d let him near you again.” Harry rolled his eyes and shot Nick a warning look when he began to quietly laugh behind us.

“Jesus, Harry. Don’t go all caveman on us.”

I turned to look back at Nick and smiled at his big grinned expression. My hands moved down Harry’s arms and I let one of them linger and grasp Harry’s fingers. Nick noticed my action and his face lighted up.

“Let me deal with Jordan,” he proposed, looking at Harry, “And you take your girl home, yeah?”

Harry shifted his weight from foot to foot and raised a brow at his friend, then he sighed and let this thumb caress my wrist.

“You tell him to never come around us again,” Harry commanded sternly, but something in his tone had changed and I could sense that he was calmer now, “Or else I’ll fucking ruin him.”

“Want me to quote you on that?” Nick laughed but nodded, then he leaned in to kiss my cheek softly before making his way into the direction Jordan had taken earlier.

Harry looked after him with almost an envious expression and I clenched my fingers around him, trying to get his attention back.

“Please,” I quietly begged, “Just take me home.”

My eyes pleaded with his and Harry bit harshly into his pink bottom lip. He sighed and frowned at me, saying: “Are you sure that you don’t want me to go after him?”

“Yes,” I answered without a pause for a thought, “Please.”

“Alright.”

….

Harry’s hand felt good in my own, this I had to admit. He was warm, soft and knew without me having to say when I needed him to hold on tighter.
We’d slipped out of the club without saying goodbye to any of the people who’d recognized Harry and had hurried to catch a cab on the busy Londoner street, which lucky for us wasn’t difficult. On the backseat was where I’d allowed myself to drop any of the boundaries I normally lived by when I was in public with Harry and instead had crawled into him without hesitating first. And he’d welcomed it. Harry’s hands had settled onto my hips and he’d leaned in to cuddle his head into my neck while I’d led my face bury itself in his chest to breathe him in.

“I’m sorry,” Harry had whispered, “You’re the most important person to me. I should have sensed that something was wrong.”

I’d shaken my head against him. “I should have said something.”

Shortly after our messy car ride we were stood in front of my home, still holding on to each other’s fingers and without any sign of letting the other go. Harry’s head was held low and I noticed how he turned my hand around so he could look at it closely. A huff fell from his lips and I shook my head.

“Don’t freak out again, please?” I asked quietly, “It’ll be okay.”

I wasn’t as shaken up about the incident anymore, Harry’s comforting nature having its usual calming effect on me. There was no denying that I had been in danger tonight with Jordan’s endless game having reached its peak but it was over now and given Harry’s reaction to his friend’s lack of manners I was sure Jordan wouldn’t be a problem any longer. Maybe I should have gone to find the girl who’d saved me by stumbling just in time.
The feeling of Harry’s mouth meeting my cheek in a tender kiss brought me back to the present and I smiled widely, humming when he let his cheek rest against my own. His eyes were squeezed shut and his hands found my waist, pulling me into his body. I breathed in his familiar scent and relaxed against him, loving to finally have him to myself.

“We should tell them,” Harry began quietly.

“Do you really think that would have stopped Jordan?” I asked with raised brows, moving back so I could look at him properly, “He’s been suspecting that there was something going on between us for ages now anyway.”

My hands took hold of his shirt’s collar and I allowed my fingers to scratch his neck.

Harry rolled his eyes. “Fucking hell. The way he kept running his mouth tonight I already thought Nick was actually going to believe him. Wanted to punch him even before you told me about what he did.”

“Don’t you think he’d rub it into our faces even more if he knew he was right all along?”

“Hm,” Harry shrugged, leaning his body into mine, making me giggle, “So you think we should just continue to hide our relationship?”

His palm cradled my face and he leaned in to connect our lips in a quick and tender kiss catching me off guard in the best way possible. He didn’t allow his mouth to linger but pulled back and looked at me with pleading eyes.

“I want them to know, Y/N,” Harry begged quietly, “Hate worrying 'bout some bloke trying something the moment I turn around 'cause he thinks you’re still single.”

I shrugged in his hold and gently scratched his chin, “I’m all for telling our friends, my love.”

My lips met the corner of his lips and I smiled softly. “But don’t feel like you have to. It’s really only been Jordan who’d behaved like a dick to me. All your other friends are fine.”

“Well, good to know,” Harry chuckled, pressing a kiss to my jaw, “Seriously though I want people to be aware of you and me dating. Maybe not the media, but at least our friends.

"They’ll never shut their mouths about it,” I predicted, wrapping both arms around Harry’s neck.

He shook his head and let his arms sneak around me and I laughed softly when he began to sway us slowly. He was so beautiful, I thought. How could Jordan ever think he’d stand a chance compared to the amazing and wonderful man in my arms?
Harry kissed my shoulder, chuckling when I squealed under the tickling feeling of his hair against my skin.

“We’re just two friends,” he began quietly, “who fell in love with each other.”

I nodded and sighed. “They’ll understand.”

Hope you enjoyed it!

Yet another test, another result. Unless they were all flawed, they were clearly saying that you were pregnant.
And it was a big deal. You were too young, you would have had to give up the University and mostly you did not know how your boyfriend would react.
Jungkook was as young as much as you are and you were always so careful. You could not figure out how it happened when memories of the night a few weeks before get into your mind.
You were so taken by the passion that you had given up the condom and that was the result; a completely unexpected pregnancy.
“Baby, you’re locked in the bathroom for nearly half an hour. Are you feeling okay?”
Jungkook’s voice jolted you and you quickly threw the tests in the trash near the sink, by covering them with a paper towel so as not to make them visible.
“Sorry, I was removing makeup. You know things for women, Kooks ” You apologized, coming out of the bathroom and smiling at him mildly; “What are you staring at?”
“You look pale. Are you sure you’re okay? ” He asked curiously, coming closer to you and brushed your cheek with your fingertips; “Don’t make me worry.”
“It’s okay, Kooks. Everything is fine. ”
And that was the first lie in a long line.

__________
Your lies were getting too many and it was becoming increasingly hard to hide the truth to Jungkook.
After making up some courage you had decided that that night you’d have said everything, hoping that he would have taken it good and above all being happy.
After initial shock, you had begun to accept that pregnancy more and more until you felt happy to bring one creature in your womb. It was the fruit of your love and what could be wrong with something so pure and beautiful?
“Kooks… Do you have two minutes? I need to talk to you. ” You began, sitting on the bed beside him, busy playing a video game that you didn’t know.
“Sure baby, talk to me.” He smiled and hope kept increasing in you.
“A few weeks ago I discovered something. Of course at first, I was scared… but I mean this is an amazing thing, believe me. ”
“Don’t keep me in suspense, tell me what’s going on, Jagi” He encouraged you, slipping on the mattress as he approached you; “Have you found to be the best of your course? Is your brother getting married? Have you won a vacation? Teeeeeeell me. ”
“I’m pregnant.” Your emotion was palpable in the tone of your voice and your gaze was bright, but Jungkook’s look made you freeze completely.
His smile had vanished, his eyes were wide with shock and his look was totally blank.
You immediately took his hand, stroking the backs with the pad of your thumb, waiting for the news to make way into his mind and the happiness you felt became his own.
“Kooks.. I know we’re you–”
“No, I don’t want it.” He immediately stopped you and those few words were a stab to your heart. There was no happiness in his eyes, only anger and you could feel it on your skin as he stared at you. “What you wanted to tell me, huh? I don’t want that son, Y/N, and you should think about your future, how it will be ruined by this child. ”
“You can’t be serious!”
“Yes, I do. We’re nineteen, we are kids ourselves. How are you going to raise him? Huh? ”
“Kooks…”
“No, I’m sorry but… It’s not what I want. ” He almost screamed as he rose from the bed, jostling you away and reaching the wardrobe.
You looked right at him while he was taking a duffle bag and started to throw in his clothes, without bothering to fold them and place them.
He was leaving you and just because you were pregnant, the idea itself disgusted you incredibly much and hurt you so much to leave you speechless.
“I’m sorry Y/N; but this is not the life I want. ”
“So you don’t assume your responsibilities?”
“I… I can’t do that, I’m sorry. ” He whispered, turning to look at you. You could understand his fear, but not his actions. You looked into his eyes for a moment and after that little moment he turned back again, taking the bag and leaving the room.
The sound of a door closing, shortly after, made it clear that he was gone. Forever.

___________

“Yah, Y/N … He’s a jerk, I’ve always said that. ” Taehyung said for the umpteenth time, while his arms welcomed you with joy and you were hiding among them.
It was in days you were in those conditions, struggling to eat, to sleep, that everything reminded you of him and it hurt you.
The only relief came from the presence of Taehyung, who tried in every way to help as best he could. He even volunteered to come with you to the check up that you had hoped to do with Jungkook, but all your hopes and dreams were completely blown away.
“How… How do I do it now? ”
“What does it mean? Do you want this baby? ”
He asked earnestly, looking down at you and shifting a lock of your hair so he can see your eyes.
“Of course, Tae. ”
“All right, then fuck Jungkook. The only thing that you have to think about now is your health and the health of the baby ”
“I’m alone…”
“What am I? A Unicorn? ”
You heaved your face, upset by his attitude. He could not have really understood that if he wanted to help you during those months, he would have had to be close. It was too much to ask him and you did not want to ruin his life, it was the last thing that he deserved.
“Taehyung… I can’t ask you this. ”
“Listen, Y/N, you know me. I love children and you’re one of my dearest friends. Let me help you, I want to take care of both of you. ” He said, then giving you one of his brightest smiles. Tears pinched your eyes  (but not enough to make you cry, just smiling back.
He was there and for the first time in days, you did not feel alone anymore.

___________

“TAEHYUNG.”
“WHAT WHAT?” Taehyung screamed, running out of the kitchen with a fork full of food in his hand, looking upset.
“I THINK… I THINK IT’S TIME … ”
“I’M NOT READY Y/N, CAN’T HE WAIT?”
“ASK HIM!”
“SOOYOUNG, WHY YOU GOTTA GET NOW I’M EATING GOOD RAMEN?”
You, as a reply, threw against him the remote control while the umpteenth and violent contraction made you fold in two for the pain.
They had begun that morning but were mild and your gynecologist had made sure they were normal in calving.
“KIM TAEHYUNG!”
“OKAY, OKAY… WE’RE GOING TO THE HOSPITAL, YOU … THE BAG, I GOT IT, ” Yet another scream as he ran to retrieve the bag, ready for days, for the hospital and came back to you. “ I HAVE TO TAKE YOU IN MY ARMS OR CAN YOU WALK? ”
“JUST GET YOUR ASS TAEHYUNG, IT HURTS TOO MUCH.”
You did not know what to expect, you were afraid that something could go wrong, that your little boy would be likely to hurt himself. A thousand thoughts invaded your mind but when Taehyung, without saying anything, took you into his arms and came running out of the house, all the negative thoughts vanished.
Your guardian angel was with you, nothing could go wrong.

_________

It was the most difficult and painful twelve hours of your life, but in the end, the little Sooyoung had seen the light. He was perfect, with already a bushy little of hair, powerful and clear voice so as to make the nurses laugh when he started to cry.
You were too dazed to figure out anything and you accepted willingly the anesthetic in order to rest for at least a few hours without the slightest pain.

“Sooyoung, you look exactly like your mom. Yes… You’ll become a beautiful little man. How about I wake her up? ”
A deep and full of sweetness voice woke you up and opening your eyes you laid your gaze on Taehyung, sitting in a chair beside you, holding your child in his arms.
“Hey.. Look who’s here. ” He muttered with sweetness, getting up and approaching you. Gently, he put Sooyoung into your arms and a swirl of emotions made you break down and cry, while you kissed and caressed with your lips that perfect and small face.
“He’s beautiful.”
“As his mom… I’ll leave you alone, you need some time to get to know him. ” He rose from his chair but immediately you gripped his wrist, blocking him from leave you alone.
“Stay.”
“But… I mean, I think you want to enjoy this time with your son. ”
“O-our son.” You faltered while he stared, caught off guard by your words. “Taehyung.. In these months you never left me alone and … I… Don’t go away. ”
“Why? Let me hear you say, Y/N ”.
“Because I fell in love with you, Tae.”

_____________

“Apppppppppppppppppppa!”
“Why is my champion screaming like that? What’s going on? ”

You were sitting on the couch, checking out some books to write the next chapter of your thesis, while Sooyoung kept running around the house chasing Taehyung. Their screaming did not bother you, indeed ,somehow, they helped you to stay more focused. After four years you were completely accustomed to their madness.

“Appa I want ice cream!”
“You have to ask mom.” Taehyung gave to you the “problem”, causing you to raise your eyes to heaven in a fake desperate way. Immediately the little Sooyoung jumped on the couch, holding onto your neck and stuffing your face with kisses.
He was a corruptor, just like his father.
“EOMMAAAAA, I WANT ICE CREAM” he screamed, pouting his lips as he always did Taehyung whenever he wanted to get something. “PLEAAAAAASE”.
“All right, let’s go get some ice cream.” You agreed, squeezing him softly in your arms and getting up off the couch completely ignoring your studies; “But when we finish the ice cream, we get back home.”
“YES, EOMMA!”
It was a day in June, the sun was high in the sky and the temperature was perfect. You were holding hands with Taehyung while Sooyoung was two steps ahead of you who hopped, unable to contain the enthusiasm that he was trying at that time.
“Sometimes I wonder if he’ll run out of his energies …” Taehyung whispered into your ear, making you smile and shake your head immediately; “But he’s so bea–”
His break concerned you right away, so your eyes returned to alight in front of you. And the reason why he had stopped was immediately clear to you.
Sooyoung was in front of Jungkook, the last person you wanted to see.
Jungkook bowed to reach the cap that your son had lost and your looks have met.
“Your cap, kid.”
“Thank you! ” Sooyoung thanked him and you could see his toothless smile even though you were a few steps away from him.
“Sooyoung, come here. Let’s choose our ice cream, come ” Taehyung recalled the child without deigning to glance Jungkook. The little boy immediately turned and ran up taking his hand he was holding out.
They went into the ice-cream parlor, leaving you alone in front of your biggest regret and disappointment.
Jungkook came up to you, his hands in his jacket pocket, and a guilty look drew onto his face. He smiled but you did not smile back, remembering only at that moment how much pain he had inflicted on you.
“You’re looking good.”
“Thank you.” was your answer, totally icy.
“You and Taehyung, huh?”
“It’s none of your business.”
“Already… He… What’s his name? ”
“It’s none of your business, Jungkook.” His smile faded away to your answer, but you did not felt sadness at seeing that look on his face. “Now I’ll go back to my son and my husband if you don’t mind.”
“I regretted my choice every day for the past four years, Y/N”.
“Jungkook… I don’t regret instead. Because I found a person a thousand times better than you, who didn’t leave me. On second thought, I just have to say thank you for abandoning me. Thanks to you, now I know what it’s like to be really happy. ”

Can you do one where lance gets extremely bad migraines all the time and he gets one one day and he goes to go lay down but the alarms go off? Shklance please!

Oh yes. My friend used to have migraines so i know they suck super bad.

_-_-_-_-_-_-_

Lance usually had migraines when he was super stressed out. It just happened and it made him absolutely sick. Sometimes vomiting when it was a really bad migraine. At times he would just take a nap for about three hours after vomiting up what he had eaten and crying until he was exhausted.

The tears just came out without him wanting them to, the pain forcing a reaction out of him. After breakfast with the team a migraine hit him hard. He gagged at the feeling of the throbbing and stinging pain. Lance barely coherently made it to his room and threw up in a small bin.

Groaning he crawled into bed, curling up as his head throbbed. He had dimmed the lights and kept his eyes shut. His head began pounding as the alarm for a mission went off. Crying out he sat up, the sound and light making his head feel crushed. Sighing he somehow managed to drag himself out of bed and into his armor.

As he stumbled along the way to the control room he tried to collect himself. Allura’s booming voice only made his situation worse. “Lance! You’re late again! Even longer today. If this had been a real mission imagine how bad that would have been for the universe, to be missing an essential part of Voltron!”

Lance groaned and pressed the heel of his hand to his eye. It hurt but somewhat alleviated the throbbing when distracted by other pain. “Sorry Princess,” he said in resignation, unable to find the energy to be sassy.

This surprised the team and Allura but she brushed it off. “Don’t let it happen again,” she said and turned around and pointed to a small area of floating rocks in the holographic space map. “You’ll be maneuvering through here today, as a unit,” She said, beaming proudly at her plans.

“Got it, lets go team,” Shiro said, not wasting a moment to slow down just a little bit. Lance groaned underneath his breath, somehow managing to find his way to Blue. She purred sweetly but that just made Lance’s head pound even more. “Sorry baby, today isn’t a good day, got a migraine again..” he whispered, dimming the lights the best he could in Blue’s cockpit.

Sighing he felt his head throb as the team began speaking through the comms as they took off. Blue sent waves a comfort through him, not daring to try and talk with Lance as to not hurt him more. Lance could feel himself getting worse and worse with each passing moment they flew. His hands were sweaty and slippery on the controls and bile kept rising up his throat.

Lance managed to swallow it back down but when Blue collided with an asteroid, he couldn’t hold it anymore. He threw up without warning, tears streaming down his cheeks as he gagged and dry heaved when he was done. The smell made Lance scrunch up his nose and he looked at the controls blearily. “Fuck,” he said and just then Keith had to talk.

“Lance what the hell!? You’re supposed to stay in formation!” Keith called out, making Lance’s head throb more. He rubbed his fingers underneath his eyes, pain behind his eyes and on his neck. His nose felt like it had been stuffed with cotton.

“Shit, man I can’t,” he croaked out somehow, theist burning from the stomach acid he had heaved up.

Keith’s tone turned worried and concerned. “Lance are you alright?”

“Just peachy my man…” Lance managed out as tear kept running down his cheeks. “I can’t breathe through my nose, my head is pounding to no end and I just love the smell of throw up,” he remarked, irritated like usual during his migraines.

“Damn, Lance lets go back,” Shiro said, not liking the idea of seeing Lance like that. Lance just hummed and leaned back in his chair, head pounding. “I’ll just take a nap here real quick..” he mumbled.

He was exhausted, he had barely even managed to train due to his migraine. Lance hates holding back the team usually but today he just couldn’t anymore.

“Lance? Lance!” Keith cried out, not getting s response. “Damn, Shiro we’ll have to drag him back. I think he passed out,” he commented and helped Shiro carry Blue back to the castle.

Keith helped bring Lance out, the smell inside Blue making him wanna get sick himself. “We’ll have to clean that up, or else it’ll dry and stain, Hunk commented offhandedly. The other paladins groaned at the idea of having to clean that up.

“We’ll figure that out but for now Lance needs to be cleaned up and a comfortable place to sleep,” Shiro said in a comforting voice. They agreed as Keith carried Lance away to get him cleaned up. They felt a bit guilty that they hadn’t caught the signs of Lance not feeling well, but when Lance woke up he didn’t blame any of them.

Though over the next few days he had a pressure behind his eyes and he felt hungover and sluggish. Everyone tried to help him the best they could but Lance didn’t accept the help easily. Lance tried to teach them to know when he had a migraine or when he was going to get one and they began to make sure they didn’t have to clean up vomit from Blue’s cockpit again. Let’s just say Pidge was not happy after getting stuck with that job.

Does A Dead Body Count?

Love Interest: Bucky
Prompt:“So you remember how to not call you unless it was an emergency?…Does a dead body count?”

I looked at the dead body that rested upon the pavement of the alley, blood making a small pool around it’s head. In all fairness, he came after me first, it’s his fault that he’s dead. Unfortunately, I can’t just leave him here, and I certainly can’t tell anyone that I’ve managed to get another person killed. I already am in hot water because of last week when I accidentally killed like 5 people at the same time.

How was I suppossed to know that they’d die if I left them in that meat locker for too long? Then there was last month when a guy I was tracking accidentally drove off of a cliff and died on impact. Let’s not forget the month before that when I managed to kill someone with a paperclip. It’s not my fault that this keeps happening. Alright, maybe it’s a little my fault, but I still can’t have this getting back to Fury.

Or Tony, for that matter. I’ll be catching shit from both ends. I sighed, trying to think of what to do. ‘Don’t call me unless it’s an emergency,’ echoed through my mind. Bucky and I haven’t been on the best of terms, and while he was being sarcastic, it was still an offer. Besides, it’s either try and rope him into helping me, or face Fury. Frankly, I’d rather face Bucky’s broody self than an angry and irritated Fury.

I took out my phone, scrolling through the contacts until Bucky’s screen name popped up. I pressed his name, and hesitated before pressing the call button. I really need to do something about this luck that I have sticking to me. Should I really call him? A moment of mental silence passed, of course I should. I pressed the call button, and lifted the phone to my ear, gently kicking the body with my left foot.

“So you remember how to not call you unless it was an emergency?” I questioned, “Does a dead body count?”

“Do you also remember about how I wasn’t serious?” He shot back, “Wait, dead body? You killed someone again?”

“It wasn’t my fault!” I defended.

“Oh, really? Like how the meat locker wasn’t your fault?” He questioned.

“I’m being serious! He tried to kill me and-” I began.

“So you kill him?” Bucky questioned.

“Are you going to help me or not?” I asked angrily.

“I don’t know, I might actually enjoy watching your ass get handed to you by Fury.” Bucky said.

“You’re such an ass!” I exclaimed, hanging up.

I angrily shoved my phone back into my pocket, kicking the still-dead body in front of me. This is all his fault! He just had to try and kill me, didn’t he?! He couldn’t have waited another week to do it?! If Fury finds out about this, my ass is grass. I huffed, bending down to drag him against the wall. I guess I should try to make it look like another crime happened, and hope that this doesn’t get traced back to me.

I wonder how long it will be before Fury just decides to fire me. I’d like to think that my fantastic abilities make up for the fact that I’m killing people practically every day. Right as I plopped the dead man against the wall, my phone started ringing. I ignored the call as soon as I saw who it was, Bucky probably just wants to torture me some more. He also probably isn’t going to stop calling until I pick up, given that he’s calling a second time.

“What the hell do you want?” I asked.

“To help, tell me where you are.” He offered.

“What, decided that getting my ass handed to me might not actually be that entertaining?” I questioned.

“I like harassing you too much to let you get fired, doll.” He confessed.

“Aw, don’t I just feel special.” I said and I could practically hear the eye roll.

“Whatever, just tell me where you are.” He changed the topic.

“In the alley of Christie’s Coffee and Dunkin’ Donuts.” I said.

“Alright, see you in a bit, serial killer.” Bucky teased.

“Hey! It was an accident! I didn’t mean to kill them.” I defended.

“Sure it was, Y/n. It always is.” He said with a joking tone.

“Hey-” I began, but he hung up before I could say anything else.

I huffed, shoving my phone back in my pocket and leaning against the alley wall. I wonder how long it’ll take for him to get here. I looked down at the guy, raising an eyebrow as the blood started to trail over me. Nuh-uh, I don’t think so, these are brand new shoes and I’m not getting blood on them for at least a week. I stepped off of the wall, standing out of the way of the blood trail. I looked over his dead body with a sigh.

I suppose I could’ve been a little neater with killing him, this is going to be a bitch to clean up. Well, hopefully Bucky has a plan because I got nothing right now. I guess it’s also nice to catch the good side of him, rather than the one who is always an ass to me. I didn’t know there was a sweet side under all of that sour exterior. My head perked up as I heard a car quietly park, Bucky’s face following soon after.

“This the guy?” He questioned and I nodded.

“Yep, that’s the dude.” I confirmed.

“Looks like you really did a number on him.” He pointed out and I sighed.

“I was ambushed! Sorry that the first thing on my mind was stay alive rather than be clean.” I huffed.

“Apology accepted, even though I wasn’t accusing you of anything.” Bucky said with a smile.

“Ass.” I said, hitting his shoulder.

Bucky put the guy in a black body bag, shoved the guy in the trunk, and closed it. The sky thundered and ran began pouring from the clouds, the water mixing with the blood. Awesome, looked like there won’t be a massive clean-up job after all. The water hit my face and drenched my hair as I made my way to his car, and quickly getting inside. I huffed, buckling my seatbelt as he sped out of the area.

I raised my eyebrow at him, noticing that he didn’t have a seatbelt on. He looked at me with slight confusion, raising an eyebrow back at me. I reached across from him, grabbing his seatbelt, and buckling it for him. No need for us to die too, it’d be a little too extreme for a simple body dump. Besides, who is gonna give me shit if Bucky goes? He cleared his throat before he rolled his eyes, readjusting himself on his seat.

“Really?” He questioned.

“Yep, safety first.” I confirmed.

“I’d like to think I’d be fine either way, Doll.” He said and I shook my head.

“Yeah, so does everybody. Next thing ya know, you’re laying in a bed, deprived of 3 of your senses with your limbs amputated.” I dramatically declared.

“Well, at least I have a head start, then.” He joked and my head snapped at him.

“You are not dying on my watch, got it?” I questioned.

“Okay, fine, mom.” He joked and I smiled and rolled my eyes.

Bucky stopped once we were at the bridge, parking the car near the railing. I looked at him as he got out of the car before mimicking his actions. It was raining even harder now, and I could hardly see in front of me. I helped Bucky carry the body to the edge of the railing, the action requiring more effort than I had initially planned. You know, I don’t recall this guy weighing as much as he does now.

“What did you do, shove an elephant in here?” I grunted.

“We gotta make sure he stays at the bottom, unless you want someone to find him.” He pointed out.

“Good point.” I huffed.

After what seemed like ages we finally made it to the railing. I glanced over it, barely able to see the water below. I looked back at Bucky, only now noticing that he was counting down. I swung the body with him, and threw him over the railing once the countdown was finished. I heard a faint splash after a moment, and I waited a moment before following Bucky back into his car. I cleared my throat as I got in, a shiver running down my spine.

The rest of the car ride was silent, apart from me sneezing and the sound of the heater. Getting sick is the last thing I need right now, it’s bad enough that I’m being watched like a hawk at HQ. I sniffed as Bucky parked the car, and I squinted as I looked out the window. Hey, this isn’t my house at all. I’ve been lied to, deceived, bamboozled. Maybe he’s going to have me do some sworn-to-secrecy-you-owe-me-one ritual.

“Come on, you’re staying at my place tonight.” Bucky said as he opened my door, helping me out.

Or he could just be acting like a human being, and trying to prevent me from getting terribly ill. I took his hand and got out of the car, another shiver racking through my body. Yep, I’m so getting sick, and I’m so going to die before the day is out. Well, not literally, but it’s definitely going to feel that way. I curled into Bucky as we made our way inside, my hair dripping water onto the floor. Ah, yes, make a total mess, what a great first impression.

“I’ll call Fury and tell him you won’t be in tomorrow.” Bucky said, walking away and getting out his phone.

“Huh? What?! No!” I called as he put the phone to his ear, walking away from me.

“Hey, Y/n is sick and-” Bucky began.

“NO!” I cried, running over to him, stepping onto the nearby chair and onto his back, “I’M FINE!” I exclaimed, trying to get the phone from him.

Unexpected (Part 6)

You and Yoongi finally talk to each other about that night that caused everything to fall apart.

Warning: smut, angst, dirty talking, grinding, intercourse

Your arm was going numb from where Yoongi had fallen asleep on it, but you didn’t want to move for fear that you would wake him and the dream would end.  You had spent the earlier part of the day nursing a hangover and a broken heart – remnants from the night at the club.  You spent most of your waking hours thinking about how Yoongi had followed you into that alley and how he had tried to take you away from that Mingyu guy.  Weeks of not hearing a single word from him and the first time you see Yoongi, he acts like a jealous lover.  You weren’t sure how to feel about that.  You had tried to tamp down any hopes that this meant Yoongi still had feelings for you.  You had learned the hard way that he was not forthcoming with his emotions and it was best to not try to read too much into his actions.  Still, you had lingering hopes…

Later that night, when you heard a drunken Yoongi at your door, screaming obscenities at you from the hallway, your heart started to swell.  You had dreamed of a day when he would come crawling to you and begging you to take him back, but having Yoongi banging his fist against your door while cursing your name seemed like an acceptable alternative.  Even hatred is a sign of passion, you thought, and much better than being ignored.

Your roommate, Hyejin, had tried to stop you from opening the door to him.  She argued that you deserved better than a man who ignores you for weeks and then shows up drunk and yelling insults at you.  She said that the only reason Yoongi was here was because his pride was hurt when he lost the fight outside the nightclub.  You knew she was probably right, but you couldn’t help but wonder if maybe there was more to it.  At the very least, you wanted an opportunity to hear what Yoongi had to say.

Tony kissed Thor goodbye, then Loki as he left the breakfast table in Thor’s study and headed out to whatever it was he did in the workshop all day.

Loki stood next, tossing his napkin into his plate and glancing around the empty room before clearing his throat.

“Thor.”

“Yes?” Thor put his water down and raised his eyebrows. “What is–oh.” He smiled when Loki slid onto his lap, and eagerly wrapped an arm around the trim waist. “Good morning.”

“Good morning.” Loki still sounded unsure and Thor was careful not to hold him too tightly just in case he was feeling like running. “You are… busy today?”

“I am not.” Thor shook his head. “The tournament is day after tomorrow so we are not practicing today.”

“And Kings do not have to do manual labor?” Loki asked teasingly and Thor pinched him lightly.

“Of course not. I might ruin my royal cape.”

“Ah yes, of course.” Loki’s lips curled in a slight smile. “Whatever was I thinking?”

“Hm.” Thor agreed, studying Loki curiously. “Would you like to spend the day together? If our Anthony is going to lock himself away working all day, perhaps you and I could–”

“It has been many years since you and I spent more than a few hours in each other’s presence.” Loki pointed out. “Perhaps we are no longer as comfortable together as we used to be. It could be awkward.”

“We spend every night in the same bed, and do not think twice about it.” Thor argued good naturedly. “Anthony lying between us doesn’t change the fact that we are close enough to feel each other breathe. And there is nothing awkward about that, is there? Unless you feel so and just have not said?”

“I suppose not.” Loki said dubiously and Thor cocked his head to study the brunette.

“I would enjoy the time with you, the chance to be together with no distractions, and–”

“Our Anthony is not a distraction.” Loki’s eyes sparked in warning, and Thor hushed him with a finger to his lips.

“I never would suggest that in a negative sense. But we both know when our love is here, neither of us can focus on anything else. It wasn’t until I was away for a few days that you and he could find your way together. There is no shame in needing to be alone to clear our minds.”

“I would like to spend some time together.” Loki admitted, looking down at his hands. “I am not altogether sure what this is between us exactly, and thought we could talk about it.”

“Of course.” Thor cupped Loki’s jaw, unable to help his gaze from dropping to his lips. “Let us spend the day together.”

“Very well, then.”

****

You didn’t realize it until one night when he held you close and spoke in your ear.

“I want to dig myself into your warmth

I want to line my bones with it

I want to come away with you in my mouth

And in case anyone asks me to make my favorite sound,

I am ready with your name on my tongue.”

You weren’t even entirely sure you did hear anything, right on the edge of falling asleep. But your suspicions were cleared the next day when you saw a small scrap of paper on his bedside table with that same poem scribbled on it.

You picked it up and ran your fingers across the words, a small smile spreading across your face, imagining him writing it down quickly in the dead of night, awake from a nightmare. You knew you wouldn’t press him on it; this was immensely personal and he had had too many people occupy his mind for too long for you to take this away from him.

Bucky Barnes was not an easy man to read. He held himself close, protecting what he salvaged and what he rebuilt with fierce responsibility. When he does something, he never half-assed it; Bucky put in his full effort at all times.

So when he was working through his recovery, his therapist suggested writing out things that bothered him, made him angry, made him happy, and made him remember. At first he scoffed at the idea. How was he supposed to write it all out and see it made flesh? See it become real?

But after much pleading by his therapist, he ultimately conceded. He wrote out lists, he wrote out his thoughts, his fears, anything he could think of in the moment. He would wake up screaming during the night with you by his side, running soothing hands through his hair, holding him close to your chest. You would run your hands all around him, humming a familiar song in his ear, one that was his, and he started to feel a little comfort. Then he would get out of bed after reassuring you he was fine, and make his way to his office. And he would write.

You didn’t ask, you knew it was his solace.

When he crawled back into bed, thinking you were asleep, he would pull you close again and whisper into your ear all of his thoughts.

Sometime down the line, those lists, those musings, turned into poetry. Bucky didn’t expect this. He remembered once upon a time back before the war, he tried his hand at poetry. It was tucked back so deep into his mind, he almost felt like it was something he made up. But as soon as he tried to fit his words together and tie them to his emotions, it was like returning muscle memory. His fingers just knew.

So when he came back to his place next to you on the bed, he wanted to show you how he was feeling. The only way he could think of was to recite his poetry to you. He would hold you close and brush his lips to your ear, place a soft kiss there and speak beauty to you:

“I wanted these words to come out like the honey

 that drips from your voice

But all I could think about is the way your fingers feel

when they run across my neck

And there are no words for that”

After days and weeks of this, he came up to you and told you he was thinking of enrolling in a college and taking some classes. You were ecstatic, you couldn’t believe he had come this far and wanted to further himself in any way he knew how. You asked him what courses he wanted to focus on and he looked down at his feet for a second, a small blush creeping into his skin.

Sheepishly, he looked up at you again and said, “Writing.”

You threw your arms around him for a fierce hug and didn’t let go, rather you wrapped your legs around his waist and heard him let out a loud laugh. Bucky felt tension release from his shoulders, happy that you never judged him, always just accepted.

Months and months had gone by with Bucky attending college, learning and absorbing everything. He had started to warm up to showing you his writing, but he did it in his own way. He would leave notes around the house, little scraps of things he thought about when he thought about you.

“My heart is thirsty for even a drop of you”

“These words are red because I have never seen you in any other way”

“I feel a hole in my heart and you are the only piece that fits”

Every time you read another piece of his mind, your heart grew bigger and bigger. You didn’t know he was writing about you, you thought he talked about his nightmares, his torture, his past…but when you would see the small poems he left out for you, you knew he was better.

“The spaces between my fingers make me think of you

You seem to have a way of filling

            every emptiness I can imagine”

You surprised him with beautiful leather-bound journals, an array of fountain pens with multiple ink bottles, a way for him to not only write beautiful words, but to make them look beautiful too. Bucky had gorgeous handwriting, and he was more than happy to practice lettering and calligraphy. He even ventured into art, although you both knew he was already a well-trained artist like Steve.

“I looked inside the cracks of you and found myself

Hold me there. Let me beat through you.”

One night after coming back from work, you and him were cooking and he brought out one of the journals you had bought him, worn with his writing. He opened up to a page and showed you. After reading it, you let out a small gasp, because he captured the night before with such grace and beauty, you couldn’t believe it.

“In the body of this house

we shiver and quiver

Our gooseflesh has made friends with one another

Has come to know one another.

Here we lay and drink honey from each other’s collarbones

Lap up the sticky sweetness,

the wholeness

of it all

mutter, “stay”

in shoulder blades

whisper “okay”

in ribcages

And cross paths into the spaces between our fingers

And tangle limbs into the curvature of each other

And wonder,

“why did we ever think of leaving?”

He gently pulled your hand towards him and led you to the bedroom, where you saw a large canvas laying on the bed. You both approached it and he started explaining right away.

“Whenever I would wake up from a nightmare or if I couldn’t sleep, I would start writing. It was all about you. I don’t know why, it just kind of happened to come out? Every time I was trying to shake myself out of those thoughts and think of something good, something happy, you would pop into my mind.”

You reached out and touched the canvas, and you couldn’t believe your eyes.

“So, I wanted to do something for you. You’ve been so good to me, doll. So patient, so caring, so sweet. And when I thought of this and started workin’ on it, it ended up being something soothing for me, too. The nightmares started to fade and I’ve been sleeping better than I have before.”

Looking closer at the canvas, you saw that it was a black and white painted picture of you laughing. It was a shot that Bucky no doubt took of you months ago when you dragged him around town to lighten his mood. In the picture, your head was thrown back and your mouth wide open letting out a strong laugh.

But when you closed in on it, you realized that all of the black parts, the shading, the outline of your person was done with the poems he wrote about you. Each little shadow, the curve of your eyes, the strands of your hair, was done with the words he had written, his lists, his nightmares, his declarations of love, his descriptions of your smile; everything he had filled in those journals was now standing proud as an image of you.

You reached out and grabbed his face with your hands, planting a kiss on his lips that you hoped would show him what you were feeling.

“Bucky, this is unbelievable…. I can’t wrap my head around this.” He smiled down at you and wrapped his arms around your waist.

“Doll, you’re unbelievable. My life wouldn’t be the same without you. You helped me crawl out of my shell. While doing all of this, I realized that you are my solace.”

You rested your head on his chest, nuzzling into the crook of his neck. He leaned down and inhaled your scent through your hair.

            “You are my catharsis.”
