and that he needs to fix himself for him

Lance getting captured and the paladins try to save him but like…he’s not really captured?

Like he’s been captured and put in prison yeah but he’s just taking it all in stride.

  • Did that whole begging gig and swiped the key card from the guard.
  • Pretty much left his cell like it was nothing (They underestimate him so no guards were posted)
  • Snuck past any sentries posted, timed it accordingly so he pretty much flows through without getting caught.
  • Spent a lot of time getting Pidge out of the air vents so he’s able to get through those with no problem.
  • Knew he’d need a guard’s hand to get through some doors so he took care of one (a droid ppl), hid the body, and got the hand.
  • Used it to get into one the rooms holding his bayard, got said bayard.
  • Found his lion and got outta that bitch quick with only minor scratches (they only found out he escaped after they saw the lion leaving.)

Makes it to the castle in one piece and kinda just walks in and fixes himself something to eat. Everyone else is just standing there like wtf because they were just about to go and save him and they ask him how he even got out of there.

“I’ve snuck out of a military grade institution so many times than I can count and I’ve snuck out of my house a total of two times during my life, a galra prison was nothing.“

The six of crows duology is honestly one of the best series in ya. You have all this crazy heist shit going on, the con men are being conned, and so on. But then, Leigh also deals with problems like human trafficking, racism and racial prejudices, positive self-image, disabilities, lgbtq+. And that’s not even all.

One of my favourite aspects is kaz and inej’s relationship. Kaz is a broken boy who needs fixing before he can be in a healthy relationship, and throughout the two books, he’s gone through a lot of character development and he’s getting closer to being better. He is not, however, an entirely changed man. And inej knows that and she’s not settling for that shit. Yes, she’s willing to try and help him heal. But she won’t let herself be dragged under with him. She knows when to put herself first and not give him everything of her. She knows she can try to help fix him but at the end of the day it’s kaz who needs to make the final decision to really try to heal himself and become a better man. Not just for inej but for himself. And it’s makes me so glad to see a heroine who doesn’t blindly want to give everything of themselves for the boy they love even if it may hurt them in the process. It makes me happy that inej is willing to wait for a healthy relationship. And it makes me happy that kaz knows this too and is trying to move forward.

Idk. I just have a lot of feels about my little crow children. Plz feel free to add on your thoughts

Request: Storm

Request: Can you write one where the reader breaks down to Bobby because she is pregnant with Dean’s baby. Thank you :)

Word Count: 1,069

<3

The rain has been coming down in buckets all night, and the wind whips at the sides of the house in such a way that every now and again, the foundations shake so severely that Bobby nearly ends up waiting out the storm in the panic room.

When he sees the flash of light outside the window followed by a rumble, he isn’t paying enough attention to think of it as anything but another facet of the storm. What he does pay attention to, however, is the frantic, loud knocking that reverberates well beyond the door.

The knocking doesn’t stop until he answers, pulling the door open to be bet with a harsh gust of wind.

“Y/N?” You’re soaked and dishevelled, and he isn’t sure which has smeared your makeup more – the rain, or the tears you’re trying and failing to hold back.

“Can- can I come in?” It’s a stupid question, but it’s the only thing your fuzzy, addled brain can come up with. Bobby doesn’t speak, but he nods, ushering you into the warmth of the house where you grew up and forcing the door closed against the wind.

“What the hell are you doing out in this?” Driving in this weather would be dangerous enough without you being in a complete state. You don’t reply, though, shivering in the hallway and wiping at your face in frustration. It scares him – you’re the closest thing he has to family: he’d raised you since you were six months old and your parents had been killed, leaving no-one to keep an eye on their demon-blood infected child. He’d taken you in, and found that he’d quickly become all too fond of you.

“Y/N, seriously. Where are Sam and Dean?” It must be something to do with them, because it elicits a sob from you, “I don’t want to play twenty questions with you.” He steps forward, resting his hands on your shoulders and pressing an affectionate kiss to your forehead, “Give yourself some time, alright? Go get a shower, get changed. Everything’s fine. Nothing is going to hurt you while you’re here. I’ll make you a hot chocolate while you’re gone, just how you like it. How does that sound?”

To his eternal relief, that manages to get a nod and a weak smile from you, and he pulls you in for a gentle hug before letting you go. He doesn’t look away from you until you’re safely up the stairs, and then sighs to himself – he’s never seen you like this. But you need him, and he’ll be damned if you’re not going to have him to go to.

***

It’s nearly half an hour before he hears you coming down the stairs, but there’s nothing wrong with that – especially when he sees how much better you’re looking. Sure, your eyes are still red-rimmed and you’re still shaking with the effort it takes not to cry, but at least your clothes are warm and dry and your lips are no longer bluish with the cold.

You shuffle into the room and take a seat, swallowing hard before looking up at Bobby. He sets the hot chocolate – piled high with cream, chocolate shavings, and marshmallows – in front of you, and then takes the seat next to yours. The storm outside still batters the windows, but the kitchen is warm, and with the pair of you bathed in warm light, it’s almost cosy.

“Talk to me.” Bobby prompts softly, reaching over and resting his hand over the top of yours. He sees the way you flinch at the gesture, and for a moment he thinks the worst, “Is it Dean? Has he hurt you?” He hadn’t been overly happy when you’d begun dating the eldest Winchester two and a half years ago, but you’d been happy, and Dean had given him a heartfelt promise that his intentions were pure – but Bobby had promised in return that the moment Dean so much as breathed the wrong way at you, he’d find himself without the means to do so again.

“Y/N, sweetheart, I need you to talk to me if you want to fix this.”

“I can’t fix it.” You speak properly for the first time since you stepped into the house, “It’s broken. Very broken.”

“Still with the ambiguous, sweetheart.”

It takes you a few moments to muster up the courage to come out with it, but eventually, you do.

“I’m pregnant.”

Silence, apart from the sounds of the storm outside, fills the room. For a long moment, he can’t find it in himself to speak – and then…

“Do not drink that.” He wraps his spare hand around the mug and slides it away from you, reminded suddenly of the copious amount of whiskey he just dropped into that, “Is it… it’s Dean’s?”

You scoff, “That’s the problem, isn’t it? Of course it is.” Sorrow and bitterness taint your tone in equal measure, and Bobby winces.

“Have you told him?” He tries, and you nod again.

“Yeah. That’s what the second problem is.” You sigh, pulling your hand away from his in order to run your hands over your face, skilfully masking a sob – but not enough. Bobby knows you inside and out, and picks up on it instantly.

“He reacted badly?”

“If saying I’d ruined everything and needed to get the hell out of his sight is reacting badly, then I’d say so, yeah.” You spit, but your voice breaks and before you know it, your head is on his shoulder and you’re sobbing openly into him, everything coming out. He holds onto you tightly, a silent promise that he’ll never let you go; that you always have him.

***

It’s nearly three hours later, by the time he’s managed to calm you down and get you asleep. You’re still asleep on the sofa when his phone rings. He answers, begrudgingly, when he realises who it is.

“Dean?”

“Bobby? Have you heard from Y/N? She’s gone and we’ve been trying to track her all night, but we haven’t found anything.” He rattles off, his voice frantic and shaking.

“Why? What happened?” Bobby asks, watching you sleeping form.

“We got in a fight. I said something stupid. God, Bobby, I’ll never forgive myself if she doesn’t…” He cuts himself off, and swallows hard, “Have you heard from her?”

He pauses, “Nope. Nothing. I’ll let you know if I do.”

“Thanks, Bobby.”

@taylor-tut tHIS IS SO LATE I’M SO SORRY MY FAB FRIENDO! But! It has finally arrived!! I’m sorry if it’s a bit crappy, I like haven’t slept in three days haha

anyhoo, onto the story:

Lance woke up with a sneeze.

He blinked his eyes open, immediately groaning at the light that pierced through his eyeballs and into his temples. He brought an arm up to shield his face, shivering slightly. Taking a deep breath, Lance conducted a mental survey of his condition, assessing his apparently numerous ailments that seem to have manifested overnight.

Congested sinuses that dissolved into a throbbing headache that pulsed outward with each movement? Check.

Raw, sandpaper throat, and lungs that rattled with every inhale? Check.

The strange sensation of being completely, bone-numbingly cold despite the warmth and clamminess of his limbs? Checkerooni.

Conclusion: Today is gonna suck.

If Lance were to be perfectly honest with himself, he would concede that he had been feeling off these last couple days. Nevertheless, the team needed his 100% right now, and any wooziness he may have felt had to be put on the backburner. With several months having passed without any sign of Shiro, tensions within the castle were palpable.  Keith and Pidge seemed inches away from snapping at any given moment, Allura’s training schedule seemed to have been kicked up the several notches from “very harsh” to “dear god I can taste my own pulse”, and even Hunk and Coran seemed somewhat subdued. It was the least Lance could do to try and keep up, and make sure the other’s stayed optimistic. He was the joker, the sharpshooter - it was his role, no matter how taxing it could be on his own body.

Lance steeled himself, counting down from five, before swinging out of his bed, pausing to lean against the wall as a wave of dizziness washed over him. Once the tilt-a-whirl he usually called a bedroom settled to a soft swaying, Lance began to make his way down to the dining hall.

Jealousy (Richie/Eddie)

Summary: In which Eddie can’t help but feel jealousy creep against his thoughts.

Prompt 97“Are you jealous?”

Prompt: 26“Open your fucking eyes, it’s so obvious that I’m in love with you!”

A/N: Thankyou for this request @wrongsmakethewordscometolife! If you wanna ask me for prompts ask away HERE. If you want to ask an ordinary request ask HERE. THIS IS HORRIBLY RUSHED IM SORRY BUT I HAVE SO MANY REQUESTS AND I WANT TO POST AS MANY AS POSSIBLE

Eddie sighed in frustration with tired legs, crawling back up from out of the water with the rest of the losers club. He fixed his white briefs and found himself standing up despite his legs practically wobbling from kicking them that much under water; this was because Eddie was in fact too short to stand up properly under the water.

The others sat down, stretching their limbs and talking quietly amongst themselves whilst Beverly set up the boombox and somehow managing to get music echoing from the speakers.

Eddie zoned out, watching as the water swayed lightly in the lake and a grin took place on his lips. He didn’t need his inhaler today, he was fine swimming. Despite countless times of his Mom telling him to always be extra careful in deep water because of how weak he is, he was strong enough to keep his head above water and that’s all that mattered to him.

Eddie turned back around, going to engage in a conversation with one of the others until he noticed it.

Most, if not all of the boys were staring.

Eddie followed their gaze, his jaw slacked which revealed his open mouth as he noticed that all of them were staring at a sun bathing Beverly, relaxed and in her underwear.

Sure, Beverly was pretty. Very, pretty. But what made her so enticing for all of the boys to stare at her in an alluring way? She didn’t have the best reputation with boys to begin with, which surprised Eddie as he would’ve thought some of them would’ve moved away from the thoughts that were currently going through their minds right now.

Eddie couldn’t help but feel out of place, especially because the only reason he was staring was because he was trying to find out what made he so special? Was it because she was a girl? Was it because she was a girl in her undergarments? Possibly so.

Eddie’s eyes then shift to his friends, eyeing the way they were all in a trance. As Eddie wandered his gaze over to Richie he couldn’t help but feel his heart strings twist and turn and he helplessly allowed a sigh to release from his nostrils. Anger filled his thoughts.

What was so special about Beverly? If she was wearing more clothes then he wouldn’t be staring at her like that, surely. She was a stupid girl. Does Richie like stupid girls? Does he like girls in general?

Just as he stares back at Beverly with distaste roaming his tastebuds, Beverly’s head turns and glances at the boys through her fashionable shades.

All of the boys, including Eddie, look elsewhere and pretend to engage in conversation to disguise their actions. Eddie quickly squirms his steps across the path to where Stanley was sat and switches the song to something else to cover up his own acts.

Beverly merely shrugs, before looking elsewhere.

It was later on that day when the losers were all packing up to go home; Eddie and Richie left earlier than the rest as they both lived on the same road a few houses away from one another.

It was silent, with Eddie still having bad thoughts about Beverly due to an unknown emotion taking over him, almost alike to selfishness. Richie on the other hand was chewing upon gum obnoxiously loud, his mouth open when doing so. He followed up his actions by blowing a large pink bubble, before sucking it back into his mouth. He repeated this a few times until the silence was practically killing him.

“You’re awfully quiet, Eds.”

“Don’t call me fucking Eds.” Eddie grumbled, tightening his fanny pack around his hips to prevent it from slipping down his legs.

Richie was shocked at Eddie’s sudden tone, not to mention that he had been quiet for the majority of the day up until this point. “Damn, no need to be a bitch about it.” Richie mumbled, pushing his glasses up with his middle finger towards Eddie in hope he’d see it as a joke and lighten up.

He didn’t.

Eddie simply rolled his eyes and walked faster. “You’re not funny and I’m not laughing.”

Richie frowned, walking Eddie closer and closer to his house. He was growing impatient with the boys temper growing, but he was determined to find the cause of his lack of happiness and find the core reason as to why he was acting strange.

“Eds, c’mon. Don’t be like this.” Richie bounced against Eddie’s side, wrapping an arm around his shoulders. “What’s wrong?”

Eddie scoffed, ignoring the taller boys question and grabbing Richie’s arm and shoving it off him. “Go wrap your twig arms around Beverly, I’m sure she’d fucking enjoy that considering all you did today was stare at her.”

Eddie walked quicker now, his tiny feet pacing forth. A lightbulb went off in Richie’s head as well as his lips spreading into a knowing smirk.

Richie cleared his throat, “My my, Eds. Are you jealous?

Eddie stopped in his tracks, heat rising against the skin on his face and spreading to his ears and clothed chest. He turned around with an angered look on his face.

“J-jealous? What the fuck of Richie?”

Richie’s smirk turned into a sly one, walking closer and folding his arms. “You’re jealous of me and Beverly, ain’t ya’?”

Just as Eddie was about to protest, Richie walked up and pressed his finger against Eddie’s lips teasingly, rubbing it around over them to force a funny face upon Eddie.

“Don’t answer that, I don’t want you blushing anymore than you already are.”

Eddie was horrified, he didn’t know that the heat sensation over his skin was him blushing. Why was he blushing?

“I’m not-” Eddie stuttered, before being shushed by Richie’s finger again.

“Is this why you’ve been ignoring me all day?” Richie tilted his head, his curls flopping to one side.

Eddie averted his eyes elsewhere, feeling the shame creep up behind his shoulder. Silence was the best option for Eddie.

“Hm.” Richie hummed, moving his finger away and standing closer to Eddie. “Can I give you some advice Eds?”

Both of the two boys stood in front of Eddie’s house now, Eddie barely moving head to nod as anxiety took over. The anticipation of not knowing what ‘advice’ Richie was going to give him was killing him; Richie was dragging it out purposely to create suspense.

Richie finally spoke in a soft and gentle voice, “Open your fucking eyes, it’s so obvious that I’m in love with you.

Eddie opened his mouth, only for Richie to once again cut him off. This time, it wasn’t Richie’s finger but in fact Richie’s chapped, gum flavoured lips merging against Eddie’s own smooth pair of lips.

Eddie was quickly filled with anxious thoughts, he thought about how many germs were in a human mouth. For instance, there are actually more germs in a human mouth than a dogs. Eddie hitched for a second, before somehow gaining strength and pushing the thoughts away as he trembled into his first kiss with Richie, the boy he was falling for.

Eddie felt the heat run down his shoulders and smothering his spine, sending tingles as he twitched his fingers against Richie’s cheeks whilst on his tiptoes. Richie confidently wrapped his hands around Eddie’s hips to hold him in place for the kiss. Both of the boys had their eyes closed as they enjoyed their moment in perfect unity.

After what seemed like forever, which forever was 10 seconds in this instance, both pulled away for fresh air. Their eyes opened slowly, Eddie looking up at Richie through his eyelashes and Richie surprisingly having flushed freckles over his dotted skin.

Both boys giggled, stepping away from each other awkwardly.

“So.. so uh- don’t get jealous.” Richie chuckled awkwardly, rubbing the back of his neck.

“i don’t.. I don’t think I’ll need too.” Eddie whispered, clutching his shirt for mental and physical support.

Richie smiled down at the boy, “Well.. goodnight Eds. I’ll see you tomorrow.”

With that, Richie quickly rushed off with quick steps and his arms frantically moving in-between his steps.

Eddie watched from afar, his fingertips touching where Richie had kissed him. The bubblegum taste lingered on his own lips from Richie’s, his tongue licking at his bottom lip ever so slightly to remember how Richie melted perfectly against him with no flaws whatsoever. How Richie made him feel negatively about Eddie by making him jealous. How Richie managed to sweep Eddie up and off his feet in the end. How… Eddie loved Richie too.

“I love you too.” Eddie whispered to Richie, despite Richie being very much so far away and couldn’t possibly hear Eddie’s silent confession.

With that, Eddie turned on his heels and made his way back inside.

Some quality Older Sibling Things that the Bureau of Balance employees have probably done to mess with Angus

  • Extensively coaching him in a particular skill only to then use his new mastery of that skill solely to impress other people and or play tricks on them. Carey taught him how to cheat at cards and dice and then turned him loose on the general population. Magnus is working on his pool skills. They’ve made a tidy profit gaming innocent guards who were too stupid to realize that a small child approaching them with a smile and asking to play was not a good sign.
    • Angus occasionally objects to these scams on moral grounds, but has been convinced that these are important life skills he’s being taught, and anyways those guards need to learn to recognize a set up. This is a learning experience for them.
    • Similarly, Killian spent three weeks coaching him every morning until he could do a LOT of pushups, only to then drag him around and make him show it off to everyone on the Moon Base.
  • Once he came up to a group of them at lunch and they started speaking elvish purely to confuse him. Members of the party who did not speak elvish started making words up. They refused to switch back to common until he went away.
  • “Hey there, kiddo, baby, tiny-small-child-thing!”
  • Complaining that they’re being patronizing only encourages them.
  • He worked as a police detective for a while, he has a surprisingly good grasp of gross and grown up stuff. Whenever someone tries to cover his ears or shoo him away when the talk turns to the many, many, many scenes of carnage that come with the job he starts talking about crime scenes he’s been at and how one time he saw a guy’s head with the ears ripped off and stuffed in his mouth.
    • This has not stopped non-THB-people from censoring swear words, discussions of death, dark humor around him. He’s getting a little frustrated. At least the trio, Carey, and Killian seem to respect him in that regard.
    • They’re actually all a lot more lax about keeping him away from the lewd stuff, since he is under strict orders from the Director to not traumatize himself and therefore will cover his own ears when necessary. Thanks, Angus.
  • Blocking his way for no apparent reason. “What’s that? You can’t get by me. Say the magic word.”
  • Trying to fix his clothes or ruffle his hair even when there is no need to do so.
  • Trying to convince him of stuff that is blatantly Not True. He’s a smart boy and will can see through the more obvious ruses, but sometimes he plays along. One time Merle tried to convince him that since they were on the moon and the moon is made of cheese he could just eat the dirt, and he got Merle to do it first.
    • Taako has the highest success rate when it comes to bluffing Angus out, and has gotten him to believe that the Director wears a wig, that Taako is in fact human and his ears are fashion implants, that you can just pour No Tear shampoo into your eyes, and that Davenport eats the bones of fallen BoB members to ensure their bodies can’t be used against the Bureau.
    • Magnus is a simple man and prefers the “what’s that on your shirt?” gag. It never gets old. Agnus is a very neat kid and always falls for it, even when he should know better.
  • He has a Baby Corner in the Icosahedron with, like, five pound weights and tiny boxing gloves in it. Killian made it especially for him. There is a sign.
  • Avi just randomly gives him things. Candy. Bottle caps. “Here, have this rock, kid, now run along.”

me: [remembers in episode 3 of season 3 after keith’s initial plan failed of catching lotor he was so upset with himself and felt like such a failure as a leader, and ended up seeking out lance so he could confide in him and admit that he was wrong. keith sounded so /broken/ when he spoke to lance, to the point where he literally sounds like he’s about to cry. and then lance doesn’t waste any time beating around the bush, he’s just “yeah you did mess up but now we need to fix it” and that alone was enough to motivate keith to keep going and not give up, and in the end he regained enough confidence to inspire everyone else to successfully form voltron, and after they succeeded lance subtly expressed how proud he was of keith by calling him “team leader” which also solidifies that lance accepts keith as their new leader]

anonymous asked:

can you do one where harry comes into st mungos where draco works all injured and stuff and they like reconnect?

bit cliche soz

“Okay Mr. Potter, Healer Malfoy will be with you in a second.” Harry thanked the nurse and she left. He only realized what she said once she was gone. His eyes widened as the door opened to reveal platinum blonde hair that he was so familiar with.

“Okay, what seems to be the-” Malfoy paused abruptly. “Potter?” Harry sat up quickly and groaned at the white hot pain that shot through his body. “You probably shouldn’t move.” He commented in an amused voice. Harry offered him a sarcastic smile. “So, what happened?” Asked Malfoy, waving his wand over Harry’s body.

“I was working a case and I got hexed and I… fell down a hill.” Draco started to smile. He quickly covered his mouth with his hand. “A little unprofessional to laugh at a patient, isn’t it?” Said Harry, starting to grin.

Draco shook his head. “Sorry.” He tried to say through the laughter. “You have a broken rib and it looks like you sprained your ankle. Other than that it’s just cuts and bruises, but those I can fix easily.” He stated as he ran his thumb over a cut on Harry’s cheek.

Malfoy moved his wand slowly over Harry. “So you’re a healer now?” Asked Harry.

Draco nodded. “Yeah. It feels good to actually help people. I guess I felt like I needed to put some good out into the world. Probably just been spending too much time with Luna.”

Harry chuckled. “I think it’s admirable. Besides, Luna’s always right about these types of things.”

“What types of things?”

“About us. About who we are as people. I remember when I first got my job as an Auror she told me that I wouldn’t like it very much.”

“Well, she was wrong about that wasn’t she?” Draco had healed all his minor injuries and started looking through the cabinets for something to fix up the major ones.

“I don’t think she was. I’m kinda done with the whole ‘hero’ thing.” Harry told him truthfully.

Draco chuckled (which definitely did not make Harry’s heart skip a beat) and walked back over to bed where Harry laid. “I should think so. You saved the Wizarding World, I think it’s okay for you to take a break. Drink this.” He said, handing him a potion that Harry had no clue what it did.

He scrunched up his face in disgust which made Draco smile. “I don’t think I’ve ever seen you smile before.” Draco blushed as he poured out another potion. “It suits you.”

“Shut up and drink this.” He shoved the cup toward him though there was no real malice in his voice. “This may sting a bit.” With a wave of his wand, Harry felt his ankle crack back into place.

“Oh, that didn’t hurt at a- OW!” Draco smiled amusingly. “I’m guessing my rib is fixed.” Draco started laughing quietly. He muttered an apology which Harry graciously accepted.

“You’re all better now. Just try not to do anything too strenuous and take some days off from work.” He helped Harry sit up. “You need a break.”

Harry smiled at him. “Thanks.” He stood up so that he was eye to eye with Draco. “It was nice talking to you.”

Draco nodded. “And you, Potter.” Harry held out his hand for Draco to shake and he took it. Harry sighed and opened the door to leave. Draco stood there, smiling to himself when the door opened again.

“Hey, Draco.”

Draco grinned at the use of his first name. “Yes?”

“Do you want to go out with me sometime?”

“Like on a date?”

Harry smirked and nodded. “Yeah, like on a date. Does that scare you?”

Draco scoffed. “You wish.”

Eddie is a clingy cuddly bf!!!!!!!

  • Wearing Richie’s sweaters and t shirts bc they smell like him and make him feel cozy

  • Whining when Richie gets up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom, telling him he needs to come back because it’s cold and as soon as Richie gets back in the bed with him he attaches himself to him and buried his face in Richie’s neck and falls back to sleep

Johndave week - Day 4: Hurt/Comfort

Haha shit I’m late?? I haven’t done comics in literal years soooo. Yeah, this is something I think about in terms of John quite a lot. I can’t help but think it might bug him a lot now and then, even if he fixed a timeline, and when confronted he might lash out. Also, bonus pic;

Some of you might have noticed something kind of funny about people.

Almost none of them like Treasure Planet.

And, considering I joined this fandom well over three years ago by now, this comes as absolutely no surprise to me – and chances are, if you’ve known about this film for longer than, say, a day, it fails to surprise you, too. I mean, we’ve all heard the reasons, haven’t we – valid though they are, it’s depressing to hear them, the millions upon millions upon millions of them.

  • “Sorry, the sci-fi just wasn’t my thing.”
  •  “I liked it okay, but I can’t see myself ever watching it again.”
  •  “The animation was good, but I didn’t really like the rest of it.”
  •  “It was…sort of weird to me.”
  •  “It doesn’t measure up to Treasure Island.”
  •  “It just wasn’t my cup of tea.”

Or - and here’s the one that gets to me:

  • “I just really didn’t like the main kid.”

The words come across as pretty innocent - it’s just a matter of preference, it’s just their opinion, live and let live, nothing wrong with disagreeing…and there’s not. There’s really, really not. You can hate Jim Hawkins as much as you want. But you can look me in the eye and can you tell me why you hate him? Can you tell me why, exactly, that’s the argument I’ve heard the most out of any of them? Can you tell me why, in my 3+ years in this wonderful fandom, in the thousands of days I’ve now spent promoting the shit out of this film every chance I get, can you tell me why that argument is the one I find myself dealing with the most? Can you look at me and can you tell me why you hate Jim Hawkins? Can you do that?

Because here’s the thing - I can tell you why I love him. And I got shit to back up me up.

Let’s get down to business. Let me tell you why I love Jim Hawkins - every habit, every quirk, every mannerism, every virtue, and every flaw. Let’s plunge right in.

  • He’s kind.

Sure, you can roll your eyes if you want to, but honestly? Being really, truly, simply, genuinely nice is such a rare quality in the world, and Jim has - and displays - this quality in abundance. I mean, for one thing, bringing Billy Bones to the Benbow when he seems ninety percent sure the guy’s just crazy? Yet he takes a chance anyway, because the sailor’s sick, the sailor’s injured, it’s raining really hard, he shouldn’t be out in this in his state, here, give me your arm, let me help you, you can come in out of the rain and stay in my house for a bit.

And what about the time he met that half-mad robot on Treasure Planet and, despite the fact that BEN blatantly oversteps his boundaries a good ten times (”Will you let go of me?/Stop touching me!”/Will you quit hugging me?”) or so within the first five minutes of their introduction, despite the fact that he is very obviously unhinged from all that time alone, despite the fact that BEN is loud and attention-drawing and the word stealthy isn’t in his vocabulary, despite the fact that he’s putting the captain and the doctor and himself in peril by doing so, Jim allows BEN to come with him - all he needs is to hear about the robot’s century of solitude, his loneliness, his desolation, and he just drops everything and says, “If you’re gonna come along…”

And don’t even get me started on the deleted scenes - such as the one where he offers to fix this child’s scooter, even though he and this kid have never met before, never even spoken to one another, and yet he offers to fix this scooter because aww the kid’s sad let me fix it for you.

Because, beneath that black jacket and that dark scowl of his, Jim has a huge, huge heart and it’s there and it’s evident for anyone willing to look. Because Jim just legitimately cares about other people, and there’s no ulterior motive, he doesn’t ask for compensation, he doesn’t expect anything in return, he just genuinely likes helping others.

(And as I don’t happen to have an image on hand for the child’s scooter bit mentioned above, have a few bonus pictures of times when Jim was nice)

Comforting a frightened Morph despite the fact that his life is in the most immediate and intense danger

And how about the time he lets a pirate - the leader of a mutiny in which he was supposed to be killed - walk the fuck away from him because he believes there’s good in Silver

Don’t get me started on this kid and his kindness. Don’t. Get me started.

  • And he’s smart.

I don’t mean passing-his-finals-with-flying-colors oh-haha-that-was-a-total-seat-of-my-pants-test can’t-believe-I-pulled-through-with-a-B I-was-pulling-answers-out-of-my-ass kind of smart.

I mean completely, incredibly, off-the-charts, blow-your-mind brilliant. He might be failing his high school classes, but it’s certainly not due to the challenge; he doesn’t put any effort into his work because he just doesn’t care. I mean, we even hear Sarah state that he built his first solar surfer when he was eight. So let’s let that sink in for a second.

This kid

was no older than that when he built one of these

Just let that sit a minute. He built one of those gizmos

when he was eight fucking years old. Hell, I’m not one hundred percent sure I understand them now, and he was eight and he understood them so well he could make them. (Sure, he ultimately uses it to cause trouble and ride straight into restricted areas, but it still makes him pretty brainy.)

And not to mention, when Silver tries to teach him how to steer a skiff, he doesn’t even let the guy finish his sentence before he starts powering it up. Despite the other’s best attempts to stop him, Jim ignites the engine and sends them whirling straight into a comet. He fucking steers a boat - with limited knowledge, considering Silver didn’t get a chance to teach him everything - he steers a boat into a comet, and rides that comet to its end and does it without ever missing a beat, without ever throwing himself or his companion out of the boat, without ever messing up or getting hurt or hurting Silver or anything, just gets the hang of it right off the bat.

And at the end of it, all Silver says is, “If I could maneuver a skiff like that when I was your age, they’d be bowing in the streets when I walked by today!”

Oh, and did I mention he powers up a century-old crashed boat in sixty seconds? No? Well, he did that, too.

Oh, and he also made another solar surfer, this time at fifteen, out of the useless parts of their failing ship while the planet explodes around them.

And, when said surfer begins failing, threatening to send him plummeting to his death in a raging river of lava bubbling and frothing beneath him, he keeps it going - literally rams it into the wall, striking it against the metal surface until enough friction occurs to power the thrusters again, and he does this all in the space of thirty seconds.

Oh, and he figured out where Flint’s trove was hidden before anyone else, just based on the fragmented bits and pieces he’d picked up from other people

And did I mention yet that he was the only one who could open the map leading to the planet?

There were people thirty and forty years his senior trying to figure it out

and he figures it out in seconds

  • And he’s brave

Remember when he casually faced down a whole crew of pirates three and four times over, all in the space of twenty-four hours?

And how about the fact that he refuses, at great risk to himself, to open the map for the pirates - until Silver threatens the captain and the doctor?

Or when he’s fixing that hundred-year-old boat we discussed earlier, and tells BEN to leave without him if he can’t get away in the next five minutes?

Oh, and when the star Pellucid goes supernova on their voyage and the hands are sent to secure the solar sails, not only does Jim immediately ascend, no hesitation

he also spots Silver, who followed him there, fall from his perch, and literally fucking throws himself down onto the wood and hauls the cook - who, to be honest, has a good hundred pounds on Jim and probably almost took the kid down with him, and definitely dragged the kid closer to the edge than would be advised - back up to safety.

And later in the film, he receives an order from the captain to scout ahead and find them a better place to hide - and even though the pirates were spotted seconds earlier, circling the skies in a longboat, Jim expresses no hesitation, simply obeys.

And, oh, uh, you remember that solar surfer we talked about earlier, the one he constructed as the planet bursts into flames and burns down around him?

Yeah, here he is riding it through the fires and eruptions and random debris, here he is casually risking his life to save everyone else, most of them being pirates who would have loved to see him dead.

Yep, don’t mind him, he’s just saving everyone else. He might die doing it, but damn, he’s doing it anyway.

But wait. I did promise to discuss his flaws as well, and, so far, I haven’t been making good on that promise, have I?

Fear not, for Jim Hawkins is far from perfect and it’s time for us to explore the reasons why.

  • He’s impulsive

While most readily refer to this as a “Mary Sue trait” and “not really a flaw” , I can’t help but disagree; if we consider it an undesirable trait in a real person, why on earth would we think it little more than a cute quirk in a fictional character? Believe me when I say, Jim’s consistent failure to think before he acts is not a charming little thing - it’s a flaw, plain and simple.

For all Jim’s kindness, for all his bravery and unfailing ability to think fast on his feet, he is impulsive as all hell.

Like when he, in his first meeting with Silver, throws out several thinly-veiled accusations - showing his cards, playing his whole hand right off the bat on the off chance that his opponent might show his, too.

Unsurprisingly, of course, Silver does not rise to the bait - meaning Jim revealed everything to the man who will later become his enemy, in a sense losing the only advantage he really held, whereas Silver lost nothing and now has additional information to help him on his way. And all this could have been avoided had Jim just kept his mouth shut.

And that time when he attempted to eavesdrop on a couple of the other hands cause he thought they were acting suspicious

But it’s not long before they notice him and immediately shut up - meaning Jim has now given his suspicions away to four different people, four people whom he suspects. (Five, if you count Oxy and Moron as two.)

Or how about when they find that map we talked about earlier, and when he opens it up and realizes it leads to Treasure Planet, his first thought is to follow it? Like, this could be anything. A trap, a red herring, a fool’s errand, and Jim just throws himself headlong into it because look there’s a slim chance it could be treasure let’s go right now!

I mean, there’s just no room for doubt: Jim is super impulsive, and that’s not a good quality to have. Sure, it gets shit done, but cautious people get shit done too, and they probably get it done better because they’re not making snap decisions every 2.5 seconds.

  • And Jim is selfish

Sure, we all love him. Well, some of you hate him, and some of you love to hate him, but the sentiment stands; we all love Jim, but you can’t love somebody for too long without noticing his flaws. And Jim has his flaws.

And it’s especially obvious in scenes like this

where we see that Jim was just out on a joyride while his mother visibly struggles to run the inn by herself.

It’s obvious he uses that solar surfing hobby to escape, to distract him from his problems after a tough day, but this, in turn, suggests that he feels his problems at the moment are more important than Sarah’s, and so puts himself before his mother.

And he makes things harder on her than probably anyone else in her life, going out and getting in trouble all the time and bringing the police to her door

Not only is this probably really bad for business, it’s also likely embarrassing and obviously upsetting for poor Sarah - yet Jim offers no apology, offers almost nothing beyond the words, “Mom, it’s no big deal!”

And when they open the map and realize where it leads, Jim jumps on the chance to leave Sarah

Not just their lonely little planet, but Sarah, he wants to leave her. And though his intentions here are honorable (”We could rebuild the Benbow a hundred times over!” / “I’ll make you proud!”) it still fails to completely sugarcoat the fact that he left her there, lured away by the promise of adventure.

Because Jim is selfish.

  • He’s touchy, and defiant as all hell.

Sure, this is a flaw. Sure, it’s not a great quality to have. Sure, it holds him back more than anything, and it probably gets him in more trouble than it’s worth - but I still tip my hat to Disney for introducing this flaw at all. It has been proven in the past that children with absentee parents - particularly boys with neglectful fathers -  tend to become obstinate teens with no regard for authority, and I’m just so proud of them for doing their research on that one.

Admittedly, however, this quality does cause him more trouble than it’s worth. I mean, he makes himself an enemy out of the scariest alien aboard in the first five minutes, all because he has to have the last word.

As a matter of fact, when I think about it, Jim has single-handedly gotten on the bad side of every one of these pirates on board this ship, with the obvious exception of Silver, and he does it all because he is just that feisty.

On the other hand, however, his pluck is the first thing Silver notices - and likes - about him. It’s obvious that while the pirate captain plans to work the spunk out of him, he can’t help but respect it, too.

Like, for instance, on Treasure Planet, when Jim refuses to allow Silver to leave without him

there’s an instant where Silver looks like he’s about to argue

and he could, he could just hold the captain, the doctor, or even BEN at gunpoint, and chances are, Jim would likely obey just to spare those he cares for. Despite the fact that Silver is clearly the one in power here, he gives into Jim’s demands - because, even if he doesn’t like it, Jim’s defiance is something he can respect. They may be enemies now, but Silver recognizes and respects that Jim makes a worthy enemy.

  • And let’s not forget that he’s stubborn.

Seriously, once he’s found something to fight for, he’ll fight for that, and he’ll get it, no matter what it takes, and there’s nobody in the world that can change his mind. If he gets it in his head that he wants to do something, if he gets it in his head that he should do something, he’ll do it, no matter what.

And in some cases, this isn’t necessarily a bad thing. It means he has a strong sense of right and wrong and knows the difference between the two, and will do what he believes to be right, regardless of what other people say. He has a moral code, and a strong one, at that, and he rarely deviates from it. And this is actually a good thing when, say, there’s a treasure-hunting pirate captain attempting to bribe him into betraying the captain and the doctor and handing over the map.

And, when this fails and Silver resorts to trying to frighten him into submission, the kid doesn’t even blink. He can’t be bought, and he sure as hell can’t be intimidated.

Of course, this isn’t always a good quality to have; while it does make him more resistant to tactics such as temptation, it also makes him inflexible and, in some cases, extremely resistant to change, even when that change would be for the better.

But that iron will has another advantage.

  • It makes him hardworking.

Whether it’s as trivial as swabbing the deck, or as enormous as seeking out a legendary treasure trove, if Jim sees the point in a task - if he sees, for himself, why it’s worthy of his time - he will put his all into it, no questions asked. So though most would call him a delinquent, and while the robo-cops on Montressor outright tell him that he is a loser

Jim is actually extremely industrious and capable - he just doesn’t always show it. But it’s there, if you know how to look.

Like when Silver leaves him with this huge pile of dishes in the galley

and he just picks up his brush and keeps right on going

and in fact, is so determined to finish up that damn stack that he ends up falling asleep in the galley, head resting on the pot in his hand

but the dishes around him are gleaming.

Or how about when he was failing at school at the beginning of the film, and by the end, he has graduated from the prestigious Interstellar Academy?

Can you imagine how much work it must have taken to get himself into that Academy? I mean, how long did it take for him to pull those grades up, to convince others he was really serious about this, and can you imagine how much work it took to get through the Academy once he got there? But Jim got there anyway, and he did graduate, and he did do all that amazing stuff, and he did it because he works hard.

Oh and remember

  • He was lost

Though by the end of the film Jim is high-spirited and confident, we know from the beginning that it wasn’t always so. His father’s absence left a hole in him, a hole he felt it was too big to fill - a hole that left him feeling worthless and rejected, it left him feeling angry and defeated, and it left him thinking he wasn’t good enough. It left him with a strong, deep-seated fear of abandonment, and more than that, it left him searching - searching and searching and never quite finding the missing piece he so desperately needed.

Jim felt he had no future; Jim felt he wasn’t worth a future; Jim didn’t really know where he was going, and that’s the kind of relatability I’ve come to expect from Dreamworks. I don’t go into a Disney film expecting to find real characters, so this came as a pleasant surprise.

And something else I’ll probably never get over

  • Jim is sensitive

So, this one actually sounds funny. I mean, I just said earlier how selfish Jim is, right? How he’s always putting himself before Sarah? Yeah. That whole argument still stands. It’s just that Jim isn’t all selfish, all the time. Can he be selfish? Yes. Extremely. Is he selfish? Sometimes. But he’s also, as mentioned before, a genuinely nice person. A person with honest empathy. His instances of self-absorption don’t cancel that out.

Now, while most define a sensitive person as “one who understands and feels for others” - and while Jim certainly does that, too - we’ve already tackled that. We’ve talked about Jim as a compassionate and thoughtful individual, and I’m not here to talk about it again, though I could.

No, there are drawbacks to feeling for others, and I’m here to talk about them.

I mean, Jim cares about other people - Jim feels deeply for people, deeply enough to welcome complete strangers into his house and offer lonely individuals a place at his side, Jim just feels for people even if he’s never experienced their hardships for himself. And if he can feel so strongly for strangers, if he can look upon a person he hardly knows and want to help ease their pain, if his heart squeezes upon seeing others’ suffering, how much do you think it hurts when he experiences his own?

His father, for example. An indifferent, neglectful parent, the heartache they cause, it would sting even the most impervious - but for somebody as thin-skinned and tender-hearted as Jim, it absolutely devastates him. And when the man finally gives up on his family, leaving behind his wife and their eight-year-old, it just tears the kid apart.

As a matter of fact, it hurts Jim so deeply that it takes him seven years just to realize that it wasn’t his fault, or anyone’s; his father’s rejection caused him so much pain that he is well into his adolescence before he can even begin to accept that he’s gone.

But this isn’t just one instance; it’s not merely a festering childhood wound, no. Jim takes the slightest slip-up straight to heart - and upon believing he caused Mr. Arrow’s death, he spends what appears to be hours beating himself up for this perceived failure.

And ultimately, he might have continued indefinitely had Silver not intervened and comforted him.

And of course, less than twenty-four hours later, Silver tells his bloodthirsty crew - and, unwittingly, an eavesdropping Jim - that his attentions were all for show, that he had to be nice to the kid to keep him from suspecting the crew of anything shady, he had to win the lad’s trust or risk his suspicion…and Jim really believes it, and, in fact, is so hurt, that he appears to take a moment to swallow back tears.

Jim is just so easy to hurt.

And to be honest, it’s great; it makes his empathy for others more believable - after all, if his own wounds have left such obvious marks, who’s to say another’s tribulations won’t win over his sensitive heart?

And, hey, hey, don’t forget

  • He’s just a kid

I mean, he’s doing all this awesome shit, he’s building solar surfers

 and saving lives

and working his ass off and being super kind and impulsive and defiant and selfish and everything, he’s doing all this, and he’s only fifteen years old. Like. He’s fifteen. He’s not even an adult yet. He’s not even of legal age. He’s just casually amazing at fifteen, but what do you think he’ll be like in five years, ten years, twenty?

As Silver says, he really is going to rattle the stars.

Now let’s review before we go:

  • Jim is kind.
  • Jim is smart.
  • Jim is brave.
  • Jim is impulsive
  • Jim is selfish
  • Jim is touchy and defiant as all hell.
  • Jim is stubborn
  • Jim is hardworking.
  • Jim was lost.
  • Jim is sensitive
  • Jim is just a kid

Just please, for the love of all that is good and holy, don’t ever forget Jim Hawkins.

Why the Disney guys are great

ERIC: He loves his dog. He plays the flute really well and that’s hard to do. Really gentle and sweet. When he found Ariel on the beach he took her home and took care of her. Great smile. Is a chill guy but will also not hesitate to stab and kill an evil sea witch with his boat.

PHILIP: Hears a pretty sound and follows it. Great singing voice. Never realizes that the girl he fell in love with is the princess he’s supposed to marry. Falls so in love that the first thing he does is go to his father and tell him. Has that goofy little hat with a feather. Fought a motherfucking dragon on a cliff.

NAVEEN: Immediately takes off his royal suit into a civilians outfit and disappears playing ukulele. Even though he’s turned into a frog he’s still oozing confidence. Can only mince food, doesn’t know how to do anything else. Made a ring out of scrap even though they’re frogs. Is willing to give everything up as long as Tiana gets her restaurant. Has that nice curl that falls onto his forehead. Unplaceable yet charming accent.

HERCULES: His strength too big for his goddamn body. Goes from zero to a hundred real quick. Even though he can deck a monster in a minute flat he has no idea how to talk to girls. Socially awkward. Good with kids. Can do a push-up on one finger. When told to use his head he took it literally. Punched his uncle, the god of the underworld, in the face.

FLYNN RIDER: Sarcasm galore. The Smolder. Drop dead gorgeous looks. Doesn’t mind that he’s on a wanted poster but does mind that they can’t get his nose right. Is the only one who sees it’s weird to randomly start singing. Can’t fight for shit, barley manages to make do with a frying pan. Has the most ridiculous birth name in Disney history. Got stabbed in the gut but cut Rapunzel’s hair to save her, not at all caring about himself. First words after not dying aren’t “I love you” but “I have a thing for brunettes” because of corse they are.

ADAM: Swooshes his cape around in the shadows like some kind of wannabe batman. Is extra as fuck. Still acts like a child sometimes. Has had no social interaction for years but is trying his best. Gets easily confused. Doesn’t know what to do when he realizes he has feelings for people. Is too shy to tell Belle he loves her. Feels bad the second after he scares Belle away. Would literally rather die then live without the girl he loves. Has the most extra transformation back into a human while everyone else doesn’t.

MAUI: Gets scared easily. Amazing hair. That little face he makes when he can’t use his hook right. Was building a statue of himself in his cave like a dork. Magic tattoos. Can’t fish to save his life. Gave humans fire and wind and coconuts. That smirk he does, you know the one. Great sense of humor. Did everything he could think of to make humans happy so they would like him. Was a total puppy when he got his hook back and fixed.

FERDINAND: So fucking sweet and gentle. Has a name that tells us he doesn’t even need Snow White for animals to follow him around. Sings to Snow White when she’s on her balcony like a modern day Romeo. Knows when Snow White went missing because he kept visiting and goes to look for her right away. Is literally heartbroken when he finds her, thinking she’s dead and is overjoyed when she wakes up. A good boy, a soft boy. Literally has done zero things wrong in his entire life.

ALADDIN: Tricked the genie right off the bat. Jumped right in to help Jasmine with the guards. Steals food but ends up giving it to orphan children living in the street. Is the most selfless person in Agrabah. Quick thinker and can outsmart anyone. Is one of the only Disney princes who actually know how to sword fight. Has matching hats with his pet monkey.

LI SHANG: Sexuality crisis. “You fight good”. Turns a bunch of losers into warriors. Rarely ever wears a shirt for some reason. Tries out his new title of captain alone in his tent all exited like a little kid. Doesn’t give up, not once, on anything. Would literally die for Mulan. Fine as hell.

CHARMING: Gets bored at his own ball. Is a hopeless romantic. Doesn’t care for people who gush over him because he’s the prince, and in fact took interest in Cinderella because she was the only one not doing that. Jumped out a window for Cinderella. Is a super supportive husband. Went door to door looking for Cinderella, determined to find her no matter what. Good dancer.

FELIX: Doesn’t know how to be mean. Considers totally harmless words bad language. Ridiculously short. That video game sound when he jumps. Thinks that by saying Ralph’s catchphrase it will give him Ralph’s power to wreck stuff as well. Can speak qbertese. Dripping with southern farm boy charm. Is a shit dancer but that’s what makes it fun to watch. After accidentally triggering Calhoun he respects her making him leave and never uses the phrase again. Pulls Vanellope back from danger on the rainbow bridge and then makes sure she stays behind him. “Do you think they’ll stop there?” “YES!”

(( If I missed any that you want to see, just let me know & I’ll make a part 2! ))

Get the boi some dry clothes David! And more hugs will probably help

fancy that, this is the exact uniform i was gonna give you the first time! it’s been in storage for awhile, hopefully it hasn’t been too gobbled up by moths!

Anonymous said:David, he almost killed your campers and possibly you! Why are you being so nice to him??

Anonymous said:why are you helping him he tried to kill the campers lmao

i may have missed most of what happened, but the kids have told me all about it! he tried to do some fucked up shit- and did do some fucked up shit! how can you just let him back in here!?

i won’t deny he did some bad things, i still have nightmares about the campers all wearing white and staring at me, but i’ve heard so much about him being a killer or trying to kill everyone, i haven’t seen any proof! i don’t know if i’m missing anything and i don’t know how many stories i can trust, but doing headcounts every day proves nobody was lost- well, besides daniel himself for a bit, but the point is we fixed things.

just… look at him. even a moron can see he needs help! he’s obviously not in a good place, and he obviously hasn’t had anything planned out very well like he did the first time. even if he did have some weird plan i doubt he has anything he can use besides the shirt on his back, which isn’t even his shirt at the moment.

if it’ll make you feel any better, i won’t let him out of my sight, he won’t leave my side. if he wants to get to the campers, or to you, or to the quartermaster, he’ll have to go through me! if i get hurt, who cares. best case scenario is we can take care of him, we can figure things out and help him and maybe he can become a full time counselor with us to help out! the only worst case scenario i’ll let happen is i’m the one who gets hurt and you have enough time to keep everyone safe and hold down the fort in time for the police to get here, i doubt he can do very much on a large scale. heck, the kids are probably more dangerous than he is at the moment!

ride (in tandem)

A/N: this is 5k of pure smut, all for @sippingchai xoxo also please wear condoms

You swear he’s been undressing you for at least an hour. You’re not complaining, per se, but he’s taking teasing to a whole new level, and you’re embarrassingly wet by now. He’s just now getting your little shorts off of you, untangling them from your ankles before tossing them over his shoulder.

Then he’s back between your legs, hooking his hands around your calves and sliding them up until he’s cupping the back of you knees. He pushes, gently, and you bend your legs for him, your feet popping off of the mattress as he presses your thighs up until they’re perpendicular with the bed.

happy baltimore day! here’s my contribution to fandom on this beautiful day, the day neil josten is finally in the system to become a real person

“Thank you. You were amazing.”

The words echo in Andrew’s head as soon as they leave Neil’s mouth. He doesn’t say anything else, but Andrew can tell there’s something more he’s itching to get out. There’s something in his eyes, something in the way they flicker from the rest of the foxes to Andrew, that stops Andrew from pressing for more. This isn’t the place, not right now. Maybe on the bus. They have all the time in the world for answers. And Neil promised Andrew anything for shutting down the goal.

As they’re shepherded out and towards the bus, the chaos that surrounds the team jostles Andrew and he blindly follows the orange uniforms. He can’t look out for the others, for Neil, and he spares a moment to hope that they’re capable enough to survive one rowdy crowd. As long as Kevin makes it to the bus, it’ll be okay. Andrew isn’t responsible for anyone else’s safety. Neil isn’t under his protection anymore.

It’s heavily implied that Roxas had to choose to give his existence back to Sora in order for him to wake up. Which only makes Naminé’s and DiZ’s actions all the more reasonable.

At first, Naminé tries to persuade Roxas that he’d be doing it for the greater good. That Sora will be there to help others again.

But when he still continues to question why it’s so important that Sora wakes up, she tries to guilt him into doing it. She says he’s incomplete and needs Roxas, like he’s damaged and Roxas is the only one that can fix him.

When that fails, she implies that Nobodies need other people to be whole and that Roxas will be complete if he gives himself to Sora. And she’s starting to sound really desperate at this point.

And Naminé’s outburst still doesn’t do quite the trick. Roxas is still fighting to be his own person. So DiZ needs to step in and only further demote the child. He further spews on about how Roxas resides in Darkness, an unimportant fraction of something much greater, someone who was used and was about to be cast aside for a better tool.

Roxas continues to tell himself and screams about how his heart is his own. How he doesn’t need to go back to Sora. He has to TELL HIMSELF that he is his own person. And by Dream Drop Distance, it doesn’t look like he believed it.

They made him believe he wasn’t meant to exist, that he couldn’t be his own person. They broke down Roxas enough that he lost his will to live.

Your eyebrows furrowed, standing up from the floor where you were seated and walked towards the door, peaking at the peep hole to make sure it was the man who you had became close to after your first spaghetti date and your countless hang outs after.

And there he was, standing with closed eyes, face directed towards the sky as if making silent prayers and lips pressed in a line. You unlocked the door, opening it to look at him. He looked down at you, making you notice the tear marks on his cheeks and his red eyes.

“I couldn’t think of anyone I’d go to now.” He said in a broken tone, hands tucked in his jeans pockets.

Worryingly, you led him inside and seating him on your couch, taking his hands in yours. “What’s wrong?” You asked in a voice not a pitch above a whisper, not wanting to trigger him.

“I just-” He stopped himself, shaking his head before sniffling. “I need someone to hold me. Will you? Will you hold me, Y/N?” He looked at you with pleading eyes.

Taking him to your room and tucking the both of you in bed, Harry had his head on your chest, his long body tangled with yours as you stroked his hair, your heartbeat lulling him to comfort. Your eyes were fixed on the warm color of yellow of your walls, mind drifting to different scenarios that could have broken the young man before you.

“Thank you.” He whispered tiredly, letting out a small hum when you wrapped your arms around him tighter as if it was piecing his broken pieces together.

And you know he was a private person; someone who liked to keep to himself but seeing him let down his guard and allowing you to hold him while he showed a side of him that he didn’t wish to be revealed to you so soon, you knew you were in it in a whole new level. You knew this wasn’t just a fling or a distraction, you knew what you had is something that is going to stay for a very long time.

Yellow was the color of hope; the hope that was restored in Harry once your warm body blended in with his shelter-seeking one.

Yellow was the color of the donuts you held in your hand for him and the boys during their soundcheck, a happy grin that was contagious enough for the 4 of them to match it with one of their own.

“There you go, a good luck donut for each one of you for tonight’s show.” You opened the box, each one of them taking one donut.

Harry the last one, a finger hooking your jeans’ belt hoop to pull you closer, pressing a kiss of gratitude to your lips.

“Thank you, love.” He smiled before taking a bite of his donut.

“You’re too good to us.” Niall hummed, licking the donut’s icing.

You giggled. “Messing up our diets, you’re a true friend, Y/N.” Liam said, giving your cheek a chaste kiss.

“Don’t tell your management, I already piss them off.” You stiffled a laugh, rolling your eyes.

Harry chuckled, resting his hand on your waist before offering you a bite from his donut to which you gladly accepted.

Yellow was the color of the nail polish bottle, the brush gently painting your nails by Harry.

His lips puckered to the side in concentration, eyebrows furrowed as he eyed your nails, gliding the brush along carefully as  to not get the color on your skin.

“I’m painting your nails when mine dry off.” You informed him, looking at your collection of nail polishes beside him.

It was midnight but neither you or Harry were tired, deciding to paint each other’s nails.

“Black?” Harry asked, his eyes not leaving your nails as he painted your last pinky.

“I got this new grey metalic one, would you want that?” You asked him before blowing on your nails to speed up the drying process.

Harry smiled up at you from his place on the floor, nodding. “Yes.”

You smiled at how adorable he looked, leaning down to press your lips to his.

“Hey, careful with the nails, they’re still fresh.”

Yellow was the color of flowers you found on your doorstep, a smile drawn to your face as you took the large bouquet, closing the door as you entered.

You put the flowers down, your hand on your baby bump, rubbing it soothingly while the other hand held the envelope that was propped against the flowers.

To Y/N & Baby S. From H. x

Your heart melted, eager smile on your face as you opened the envelope, sitting down when your swelling feet began to hurt. You opened the paper, eyes first falling on the messy inked hearts he left throughout the paper.

Dear Y/N,

Yesterday, we had a real Jamaican tour around the place (I promise to give you one when you fly out here in two days) and I learned that yellow flowers represent friendship, trust and compassion. It’s also the colour that represents happiness and hope.

Friendship because not only are you my girlfriend, you are also my best friend who I would always confide in.

Trust because I trust you with every fiber in my body and I hope you return this trust in me, too.

Compassion because you are someone I will always comfortably let my guard down around, knowing you still think I’m strong.

Happiness because well, you’re you.

And hope because this is how I am towards our future together; our future with Baby Styles.

Can’t wait to see you. I love you.

P.S Can you please get my yellow tropical shirt? I forgot to pack it. (Please)

Sincerely yours,

Harry. x

Yellow was the color of the first stuffed toy held by your newborn, Elle James Styles. A girrafe that Harry had bought for his daughter from back home.

With an arm around your waist, your head leaning on him and his head leaning on yours, you watched the 1 month old baby who was a combination of you and him, sleeping peacefully in her crib.

“We did pretty well, huh?” Harry asked quietly, staring at his daughter with loving eyes.

You giggled, wrapping your arm around him. “I did the pushing, Styles.” You joked.

Harry raised an eyebrow at you, “Yeah? So did I.”

Your cheeks flushed, looking back at your oblivious daughter.

Yellow was the color your small family wore, matching. A one year old Elle was sat on your lap in her yellow dress that had white little flowers along the bottom of it, a single daisy flower that someone from the backstage crew had given her was propped behind her ear, shown among her wide brown curls. You in an off shoulder pastel yellow top, black jeans and simple flats, your hair straightened down as you sat among the audience at the front on The Jonathan Ross Show.

“I can’t help but notice, Harry, you’re matching with your wife and daughter?” Jonathan asked Harry who sat in his yellow suit.

Harry smiled, glancing at you and his daughter who sat on your lap, playing with your hair while talking quietly to you in the language only she understood. You did catch some “Mumma”’s and “Dadda”’s though.

He nodded, looking back at Jonathan. “We are.”

“Is that your uniform? Do you all just normally wear yellow and match?” He asked, making the audience laugh and Harry to laugh.

“We’re a very colorful family.” Harry spoke.

“How old is your daughter? Her name is Elle, right?”

Harry nodded, “Elle, yes. She’s 1.” The audience awed, gaining little Elle’s attention who looked around with a giggle before looking at Harry.

“Dadda!” She made grabby eyes at him, beginning to fidget on your lap.

Once again, everyone awed, including the other guests and Jonathan. “Go get your daughter, Styles. What are you waiting for?” Jonathan told Harry, feigning a scolding tone.

You stood up with Elle on your hip, meeting Harry halfway who surprised you with a peck on your lips as he held Elle in his arms, making the entire room - once again - to awe.

“You’re a family man, aren’t ya?”

Harry grinned, bouncing Elle on his knee. “Very.”

I think this is my personal favorite writing I have written on here so far to be honest. Let me know what you think! xx

Headcanon on Lance

Since Jeremy Shada uttered (ahaha) that Lance was “gonna probably die”.

I think Lance will “die”, sacrificing himself to save his friends.

Keith feels like hell because he was the “leader”. Lance had told him not to jump the gun, not to be a hot head and charge in.

They lost Shiro, now Lance. Keith is even more lost.

Hunk won’t eat, won’t cook, won’t do anything but work on any machine that needs fixing. It keeps his mind busy. It keeps him from breaking down. It keeps him from thinking of how he’d tell Lance’s family.

Hunk doesn’t want to think anymore.

Pidge is lucky. She has Matt. Matt who was rescued by Lance, shoved into Blue and told to leave while Lance bailed Keith out on his latest move.

Pidge is lucky because he has Matt’s shoulder to cry into.

Allura sits alone in the room where she last saw her father. Shattered peices remain like her shattered heart. For a moment she thought she heard her father, telling her it was okay to cry.

Cry she did, because those who left early had strong shoulders and caring smiles. The mice wanted to help, but knew they could not.

Coran just stared at Lance’s door. He expected the youth to march out and make him laugh. Make him feel like a father again.

Even if Lance’s father was still alive, Lance to him was like the son he lost and once again, Coran lost his son. Lost Lance.

Keith lowered his head as a blade rested on it. A Yralih Alien was ready to swing down that sharp blade, with Keith ready to accept his fate.

He smiled, knowing Pidge, Hunk, Matt and Allura got away. He smiled, knowing he’d be joining Shiro and Lance.

He closed his eyes, ready for the end.

It never came.

A single shot rang, dropping the Yralih Alien dead on the ground.

Keith looked in shock, raising his head up to see who had saved him.

Keith smiled.

It was a familiar face, with a bright grin and sharp blue eyes.

“There’s my sharpshooter. ”
