a/n: aight don’t judge me but I only have one fic to post today bc school’s got me fucked up and has literally sucked my soul from my body. I’m still working on some of the requests you guys have sent in and other WIP’s as the mood/will to do anything but cry in a corner hits me (lol but I’m fine tho I swear) I hope you guys enjoy my contribution for Smut Appreciation Day 2017!

The first time Dean “snoops"—it’s by total accident.

Sam had lent him his phone after Dean’s had been compromised on the hunt that they had just finished. Long story short; phone in pocket plus getting pushed into pool by werewolf equals no bueno. Dean pulled up the messaging app to shoot the hunter that been helping them out a text to let him know that everything had been squared away, but when Dean went to tap compose message, his thumb took a sharp left and ended up pulling up the messages between you and Sam.

okay but imagine this. They decide to take Cas’ body back to the bunker, in hopes he will come back and will need his vessel. As they lift him, a sealed envelope slips out of the pocket of his trench coat.

Dean eyes it, as does Sam.

After they lie Cas down in the back seat of the Impala. Dean goes back to retrieve the envelope and when he picks it up, his eyes widen. His name is written on the front in Cas’ handwriting.

He puts it into his jacket pocket and brushes it off when Sam asks what it is but the whole ride home, he can’t stop thinking about it.

Should I open it?

What did Cas write?

Would be a dick move to read it now that he’s gone?

And for the rest of the night, he stares at that envelope, curious as hell, but also scared out of his mind about what could possibly be on it. What did Cas need to tell him? Maybe it’s just notes about the Nephilim. Maybe it’s just info about Lucifer…

After a few glasses of whiskey, Dean slips his blade across the envelope and peeks inside to see a letter. He carefully pulls it out and opens it up, after swallowing the nervous lump in his throat. His eyes water as he reads the first line.

Dean,

I know you probably have a million questions as to where I am and why I took off again. While I would love to just tell you that I have a plan, I am really just going along with what I imagine to be the right thing.

Before I get into why I am writing you this letter, I need to apologize for stealing the Colt from you. I also feel terrible for going radio silent for all those weeks when I know you needed to talk to me. I can tell you all those excuses again, but in the end, I know you were hurt so for that, I am deeply sorry.

Now, I will tell you everything.

When the Nephilim powered me up, he showed me the future, or at least a possible one if he were to be born. He showed me a world of peace, bliss. No more monsters, no more evil, although there was still a balance, which we can get into later.

Dean, in this vision, I saw you and Sam. You both were happy. Content. You especially had this glow that I don’t think I have ever seen on you.

And what struck me was that I was there too. I was with you. Dean, we were together. As in… together. We were happy. In love. Unafraid of all the things that have been holding us back all these years.

I am smiling now just thinking of it. I know this must be shocking to you and perhaps a little far-fetched but I know what I saw, and if this is possible, then I will fight for that kind of future. For you. For Sam. For us.

I apologize if this makes you uncomfortable, but I feel that you need to know. It’s time. You know I love you, and I know you feel the same way. Maybe we just need to do something about it, already.

Anyway, the purpose of this letter was to tell you about this wonderful thing I saw, so if it eases your mind just a little, then I have succeeded. Please trust me. That is all I ask right now.

Yours,

Cas.

And Dean re-reads this letter over and over again until he practically memorizes it and when he finally lets it sink in, all he can do is sit back and smile, trying to imagine this future with Cas.

Yea, I can do this. There must be a way to get him back.

Request: Hey it’s ok if you don’t wanna do this but I was wondering if you could write a fic where Dean is his current age and the one reader just turned 20 but like her and Dean have known each other for a long time and have been together for a while and other people always say stuff about their relationship but they’re still just really happy together, maybe w/ a bit of smut?

A/N: I changed a few things like I said I would but overall I think I got what you wanted!! Shout out to @leatherwhiskeycoffeeplaid for being an awesome beta!! I hope you all like it and feedback is always appreciated!!! :D

What are your opinions on John winchester... just my curiosity spiking?

Oh boy, that one.

I think he was a bad, neglectful parent. But I don’t agree with the pretty wide-spread characterization of him as a total demonic, drunk asshole who hates his kids’ guts and beats them up. I don’t think John actually beat them up – not on a regular basis, at least? I could maybe see arguments getting heated and violent, but not so much of a constant smackdown for every small mistake. He might have put them down verbally, if the Impala comment to Dean in the end of s1 was anything to go by… we all know Dean would never let Baby get rust or anything :(

I think he, kinda, destroyed them emotionally and totally didn’t provide enough support. He loved Sam and Dean, I’m pretty sure – but love alone’s not enough. He was a traumatized, scared man who wasn’t in the place to raise kids. I know it turned out that this childhood was the only way Sam and Dean could save the world. If they were raised happy and safe without any training and only ever becoming close with each other in their formative years, I doubt they could foil Lucifer’s plans that were thousands of years in the making in Swan Song. But John had no way of knowing that, so, that’s no excuse!

Also, that face that Dean makes in the Dark Side of the Moon when talking about John…

Yeah, that one. Poor guy. From the looks of it, John would never let them be kids, especially not Dean with his parentification burden. I could maybe understand wanting your kids to be ready if you know monsters are coming for them. But, damn, he could’ve stayed with them. Teach them how to shoot a gun if you really gotta, but you can also play catch with them and read them bedtime stories, yanno.

13 Reasons Why (Tape 2)

Characters: sister!reader, Dean, Sam, Crowley, mention of John, readers mom

Warnings: blood, angst, death, swearing, blackmail

Word count: 4775

Summary: Dean listens to tape two and learns the truth about what happened to your mother. His suspicion grows as he finds out more about who is and who isn’t part of the reasons why.

A/N: sorry I’ve left you waiting for so long but part two is finally here!

Series: Part 1 Part 2 Part 3 Part 4 Part 5 Part 6

You ran inside your old house, it felt strange to be home. But that’s where this place was… Home. Your place with John was never a home, it was just a motel; a room with four walls. That’s not what a home meant to you, it was a person more than a place. That person to you was your mom and you needed her now more than ever.

When you opened up the door you had expected her to be on the couch watching a movie or something. The TV was on, however she wasn’t there. Your mom would never have left the TV on and gone to bed, so where the hell was she? You shut the door behind you and checked in the living room once more.

Heading up the stairs you heard the noise of the TV from her room. Why would the upstairs and downstairs TV be on?

“Mom?” You called out, but there was no answer. “Mom, it’s me, Y/N… I’m sorry, things didn’t work out with John.”

You walked into her room and saw her foot hanging off the end of the bed. You figured she must have fallen asleep while watching TV. You smiled as you thought of her peacefully laying there and not having to worry about anything. You wanted to cover her with a blanket but as soon as you walked in, you saw something you weren’t prepared for.

So what are Dean and Cas fighting about (again)?

What an… interesting promo CW chose to put out. Nothing about the plot, no action, past!Castiel, nothing. Just a snapshot of the cold war between Dean and Cas and poor Sammy stuck in the middle as usual.

Now, if I remember correctly, the last time Dean and Cas had a fight like this complete with silent treatment (and in front of Sam again, to boot) was 8x22. To recap quickly,

Dean tells Cas that he needs him in the crypt and Cas didn’t even acknowledge it before flitting off. He turns up again 8x21, asking for help. Naturally Dean is resentful, and the ‘You didn’t trust me?’ shows how deep Cas had hurt him. Look at it from Dean’s point of view- Cas never seems to trust him- with the tablet, during the entire deal with Crowley fiasco in season 6.

Dean’s whole personality revolves around taking care of the people he loves. He deals with severe abandonment issues- with Sam, with his dad, now with Cas. All of them leaving him behind. Dean has no doubt in his mind that Cas cares, that Cas will do anything for them, but Dean’s never been allowed to reciprocate. Cas simply won’t confide in him till it’s too late.

If Cas had stuck around the bunker, Dean would probably have caved. But he isn’t there (and I’m sure Cas never bothered to explain why he had left the bunker), thereby confirming Dean’s belief that Cas doesn’t need him.

Unfortunately, the angels fall, and when Cas does need him for the very first time, Dean’s forced to kick him out. And he’s clearly torn up with the guilt, considering he apologizes twice for the act, one time when Sam’s getting his head torn open, showing how much he’s been agonizing over it. But it didn’t end there- Dean gets the mark, kicks the shit out of Cas.

Cas says Yes to fucking Lucifer rather than fight along with Dean and Sam. And Dean doesn’t know what to say or feel, because he half feels he hasn’t really been there for Cas, and contrarily, the resentment that Cas doesn’t open up still exists.

After Sam’s rescued in 12x02, Dean lets himself hope again. His mom’s back, Sam’s physically alright, Cas is still there. He makes that elaborate breakfast, hoping he can actually get some time with the family again… Only Cas doesn’t even bother to stay for coffee. And leaves again, refusing Dean’s help quite brusquely.

And now, again. Cas makes a lovely dramatic speech about how much he cares in 12x09. Dean lets himself hope again…

And what I’m guessing is- Cas tries to leave on his own again to fix this. But Dean’s absolutely had it this time and they probably have an argument, Cas wanting to protecting Dean and Sam, Dean chafing at the lack of trust (again). I mean, look at this (gif credit to @codestielckles)-

Sam can’t bear the tension and wants to drown it out. Dean says NO. Dean, the one who tends to avoid difficult conversations by turning up the music. For the first time, Dean wants to talk.. and Cas is not budging. Until he does for Sam. Which leads to this-

Cas will respond to Sam, but not him. Of course he’s pissed.

Poor Sam though, he needs a dog and a vacation after dealing with this shit.

To Become A Hunter [3]

Previous parts

Characters: John Winchester, Dean Winchester, Sam Winchester, Sister!reader

Words: 3800+

Warnings:  John’s A+ parenting, implied verbal/physical abuse, sort of bad mental health (I don’t really know how to describe it)

A/N: I think I’ve said this before, but I just want to emphasize, that this is just a version of John. It’s not necessarily how I see him - this fic resembles that better - but I’ve twisted and molded his character for the sake of the story. There really are many ways to interpret the guy, and this is one of them :) Also, this is the first part of the “finale” (they’re named 3 & 4). It was too long, so I split it into two. I’ll drop the other part tomorrow :)

May I recommend a song? Trainwreck - Banks - This isn’t a song fic, and I haven’t even looked up the lyrics, but I listened to it while writing this and now I associate it with the fic :)

”Who is it?” He asks again when he’s only greeted by silence, as he rubs his eyes with his free hand, trying to blink away the tiredness.

And after a couple of seconds, a voice that makes his blood run cold, fiery ice spreading through his body, answers.

”(Y/N).”

At Stanford, Sam sits up in his bed in an instant. So fast that the blonde in bed next to him stirs in her sleep. His breath catches in his throat.

From being barely awake when he answered the call that brought him back from slumber, he’s now as alert as he possibly can be. He’s been scared for this. No, he’s been waiting for this. A call in the middle of the night. The person on the other line telling him someone is dead. Or that they themselves are dying. He’s had this nightmare many times before.

Isn’t A Dream

This isn’t a dream.

This is really happening.

Dean’s lips are soft and pliant against my willing mouth. Sam’s kisses skim the delicate skin below my earlobe, his hair dusting my collarbone.

Sam’s mouth travels upward, his warm breath tickling when he whispers into my ear. “Do you trust us?”

My heart skips a beat but it knows the answer. The answer is yes. Implicitly. There isn’t a person alive or dead that I trust more than the Winchesters.

“Yes.” The word rolls of my tongue and vibrates against Dean’s mouth, which turns up into a sexy grin when he hears my answer, his green eyes sparkling.

Sam’s chuckle is throaty, rumbling in his chest. I tilt my head and turn to look at him and once again, I can’t believe this is really happening. Dean reaches up a finger and hooks it under my chin, directing my gaze back to his. Perhaps a competition for my affections is brewing. I can’t say the idea doesn’t thrill me.

“We’re going to take good care of you, (Y/N).” Dean says it like a promise with a hint of threat. It sends a wave of lust from the crown of my head to the tips of my toes.

“Hell yeah, we are,” Sam reaffirms Dean’s promise. Sam loosens the knot on the tie at the base of his throat while Dean lifts the hem of my shirt. His hand caresses my skin as he works the shirt up and over my head.

Innuendos

Overview: The reader and Sam decide to mess with Dean through…easily confused wordplay.

Warnings: a smidgen of language, sexual innuendos, fluff, and fruit being sexy

A/N: I asked Lee to give me a prompt yesterday and this is what transpired from it. I had too much fun writing this @wheresthekillswitch :)

It had started as innocent. All things with Sam seemed to start that way, but all things with Sam also had a bad habit of escalating at a rather…fast pace. I’m not claiming clean hands in this – together, Sam and I had always been evil masterminds. And this time wasn’t any different.

We had just gotten back from a grocery run and everyone was helping put the items away. I was unpacking the bag of fruit when a sharp jab to my ribcage from Sam’s elbow made me glare and roll my eyes at him. He just wiggled his eyebrows at me, unable to keep the excited grin off his face.

“Pull it together,” I mouthed. He quickly cleared his face of any and all emotions.

“So…Dean,” I said calmly, “can you feel my melons?”

His hand froze halfway to the pantry with the box of cereal it was holding. He slowly turned his head, “Um…what?”

“My melons,” I repeated, “I mean, Sam felt them earlier and said they were firm enough but I just wasn’t sure.”

The box of cereal almost slipped out of his hands, but he managed to catch it after a brief spout of fumbling. “Sam did - what are you – I’m sorry, what?”

Dean didn’t have much time to react as I swiftly tossed a cantaloupe in his direction. He caught it and then just stared down at the round fruit in his hands, confusion written all over his face.

“Yeah, my melons,” I said, pulling the second cantaloupe out of the bag, “think they’re firm enough?”

I saw his knuckles whiten a bit as his grip tightened around the fruit. He briskly walked over to the refrigerator, jerked the door open with a little too much force, and then haphazardly tossed the cantaloupe inside, “I’m sure they’re fine.”

Prompt: if John had been resurrected instead of Mary.

He’s never seen his boys look at him quite like that. Or each other, for that matter. His hands tremble when he lifts his cup of coffee to his lips and drinks, and while it feels good to have something hot inside him, feels like it’s anchoring him here, he can’t shake off the feeling that he doesn’t quite belong, that he should be… somewhere else.

And his boys? God, what the years have done to them.

It’s been a mess of a few days. First, he was at the hospital - after that comes a blank, a void that feels like it still calls for him. Then, suddenly, he was there again, standing on a lawn in the middle of the night, staring at his son as a man much older and worn than he last saw him. From there onwards, it’s only gotten worse: chases mix with angels and secret societies, torture with magical healing. His head is spinning.

“How are you feeling, Sam?” he asks from the man across the table, a man who is so different from the boy he sent to fetch him a cup of coffee the moment his deal was due.

He seems broader now. Taller, even, if that’s possible. He’s got longer hair and eyes that have seen it all. Chapped pink lips with just enough space between them to let a sigh through.

“I’m - I’m fine, Dad.”

He is not fine, but neither is Dean, and neither is John. As if sensing this, Dean moves closer to his brother - he’s chosen to have his own coffee upright, as if to make sure that nothing else touches Sam. Well, some things haven’t changed, at least.

“Good.”
A brief silence replaces the tense conversation, but only for a few moments. Then John places his cup down and clears his throat.
“I want you boys to catch me up on everything that I’ve missed.”

“Can’t it wait?” Dean asks him.
He’s always been this way, more anxious than Sam, constantly longing for peace and quiet. It seems that in this place, he may have finally gotten to experience some of it. The way he moves in this place, the way he treats it, it’s like he’s found home here.

John lets his eyes trace the large room. It’s a funny home.

“I know you’re tired,” he says then, moving his gaze back to his boys who look just about ready to crash, “but I need to know. Why don’t we start with something easy and continue from there later? Tell me how you found this place.”

The brothers exchange looks, and finally, Dean seats himself next to Sam. He looks at John and considers his words for a moment.

“Yeah, about that,” he says in a careful voice, “It all starts with you, actually.”

John lifts his brows.

“Or - your father,” Sam corrects, and Dean nods.

“Yeah. So you might want to strap in. There’s a lot more to our family than you ever knew, Dad.”

Clearing his throat, John lifts his cup back to his lips.
“Fill me in, then.”

Untitled wincest

Wincest, well, duh, it’s me.

Sam kissed Dean for the first time when he was fourteen.

It’s ‘bout time you tried some beer, right kiddo? Dean had grinned as he’d put a sixpack on the table and flopped down onto the motel room’s couch. Two beers in, and Sam’s liquid courage had him crawling onto Dean’s lap, nuzzling against Dean’s warm throat, breathing in the intoxicating scent of his big brother. “Dean,” he’d mumbled, sheer want bleeding into his voice, and Dean had gone stiff with resistance beneath him.

12x20 Coda

“Spun out” doesn’t begin to describe it. This heaviness, this oppressive ache that is filling Dean’s lungs- it’s like nothing he’s ever felt.

He’s missed Cas before, sure. Lost him a time or two. Had every reason to believe the angel was dead (although he didn’t believe it, not really; he couldn’t bring himself to give credence to that thought- the very idea of accepting that Cas could be really and truly gone… permanently…) But this… this is different.

Dean abruptly shoves the phone he’s been staring at back into his pocket. There are no missed calls, no unseen text messages. He knows. He’s checked about once every two minutes for the past three days, ever since he came to on the cold, hard ground after Cas and his freaky display of surprise angelic power healed Dean and then knocked him unconscious on his ass.

Cas.

The feeling intensifies, spreads. It’s a burning now, a flaming vice squeezing around his heart, and between the pain in his chest and the pressure on his lungs Dean feels like he can’t breathe.

He can’t talk to Sam. He wishes he could. He wishes talking stuff out was a thing Dean Winchester was good at, was a thing he could do.

Their mom is now missing, and Dean knows that fucker Ketch is lying, and Cas- God, Cas is…

Dean paces the bunker kitchen, biting his thumbnail, his green eyes blazing. His fingers itch to grab a bottle of whiskey, something, hell, anything stronger than a beer… Even that wine he had yesterday with the Barnes family would do… he’d actually gotten downright tipsy, had forgotten wine packs a little more punch…  Dean’s mostly given up hard drinking since… well, when did he stop? He’s not sure.

That’s a lie. He is sure.

It was after Lucifer was expelled from Cas’s body.

It wasn’t a conscious decision, an “I’m done with the heavy drinking,” it was more of an unconscious response to losing his best friend (again) and then having him restored (again.)

Dean didn’t want to waste one second not being in full control of his faculties around Cas. He didn’t want his memories with Cas to be hazy, or blurry, or blacked out, because even though Cas was an angel, he wasn’t invincible. His continued existence wasn’t a guarantee, and Dean refused to be fuzzy on a single detail.

Dean has pretty much stuck to beer and a very light buzz after that (okay, that stupid Ketch thing was an exception… but really, for the most part, he’s been done with it.)

Sam’s voice shakes him out of his reverie. Dean hadn’t even heard him enter the room.

“Dean? What are you… are you okay?” Sam approaches him, concerned hazel eyes scanning his older brother. He reaches out a long arm to clasp Dean’s shoulder.

“’M'fine,” Dean brushes him off.

“Dude, you’re like, swaying on the spot. Are you drunk?” Sam presses, almost like he guessed Dean’s current train of thought.

Dean scowls. “No, I’m not drunk.”

The taller Winchester’s face softens, and for one hopeful second Dean thinks Sam might really understand. “You’re worried about Mom,” Sam guesses, and Dean sees Sam’s pain and fear written all over his face, too.

“It’s not that,” Dean shakes his head, then hastily corrects himself, eyes wide. “I mean, yes! God, of course yes. I’m worried. She can take care of herself, I know, but we need to find her. Stat.”

Realization dawns, but Sam hesitates. There is a long silence before he finally speaks again. “He can take care of himself, too, you know.”

Dean stiffens. “What?”

“Cas,” Sam says tentatively. “He can take care of himself, too, Dean. I’m sure he’ll be fine.”

“Oh, you’re sure?” Dean snaps sarcastically. “Well, then. That’s a relief. If you’re sure, then there’s nothing to worry about.”

Sam sighs, leaning against the counter of the bunker kitchen where they stand. He scrubs his hands over his face then pulls his shaggy hair back. His eyes are red-rimmed and tired; neither of them have slept since losing Tasha and Alicia and getting Mary’s cryptic voicemail.

“Talk to me,” he says finally.

Dean’s shoulders are tense; he wishes he had something to punch. “It’s nothing.”

“It’s not nothing, so cut the crap, Dean.”

“It’s nothing you don’t already know! I already told you, Sammy, the guy who knocked us out and took off for Heaven, talking about- about faith and all that crap? That wasn’t Cas. Not really. So yeah, I’m gonna worry and you can just fucking deal with it.”

Sam doesn’t rise to the bait. “Talk to me for real. What’s going on?”

“What the fuck do you think I just did?”

“I think you’re trying to pick a fight,” Sam answers calmly. “You think I’m not worried about Cas, too? I am, Dean. He’s my friend.”

“He’s family,” Dean corrects.

Sam nods and mulls it over for a moment, his brow furrowed. “You think… you think that finding him, helping him… that it’s less important to me because of Mom?”

“What?” Dean responds hotly. “I never said that. It’s not about picking sides, Christ, Sammy! They’re both important. We’re gonna help them both. We’re gonna save them both.”

“I agree,” Sam says, and Dean nods, relieved. “But… Cas is different. Isn’t he.” It’s not a question, it’s a statement, but Dean knows he’s meant to respond.

“Yeah. He’s an angel,” Dean deflects bluntly, but Sam shakes his head.

“You know that’s not what I meant.” Sam holds Dean’s gaze, unrelenting, and Dean catches a glimpse of fear, of vulnerability, of hope. Dean’s heart pounds. Maybe Sam is more perceptive that Dean’s given him credit for.  Maybe it is something Dean could talk to him about after all. “Talk to me,” Sam says once more, his voice gentle.

Dean’s mouth is dry. His heart is hammering painfully; he feels sick to his stomach. He wants to tell Sam, he needs to, it’s eating away at him… He draws in a shaky breath. “After… after Cas killed Billie… after he got stabbed with Michael’s lance… He- he said some things.”

“Yeah,” Sam says shrewdly. “He told you he loves you.”

Dean’s head whips up so fast he thinks he might have given himself whiplash. “He said he loves us all.”

Sam shrugs. “He does. I know that. But it’s different with the two of you.”

Dean stares at him, his face pale.

Sam frowns, confused. “Isn’t it?”

Dean lets out a strangled half-laugh. “Yeah. Yeah… it’s different.” Dean swallows hard, visibly uncomfortable. A dark flush is slowly creeping up his neck and he’s now staring at the ground, refusing to make eye contact. “After Billie… we- we slept together,” he admits, his voice low. “After Ramiel, too.”

“Dean,” Sam says softly, “That’s- that’s great. I’m happy for you.”

“No,” Dean chokes out. “No. It’s not- it’s… I couldn’t say it back, Sam. He told me he loved me. Again, and again, when we were alone. He was so messed up. And I kissed him and I fucked him and I didn’t say it back…”

“But you do love him,” Sam presses questioningly.

“Of course I fucking do,” Dean hisses.

“Then why-”

“I don’t know, Sam!” Dean explodes. “Because I’m a fucking screwup. Because I’m a coward. Because I don’t fucking deserve him and I never have.”

There is silence for a moment. Sam crosses his arms over his chest, waiting for Dean to speak. When he doesn’t, Sam clears his throat, shakes his head. “That’s not true.”

“I made him a mixtape.”

Sam blinks, surprised at the sudden turn in conversation. “You- what?”

“I couldn’t tell him. How I felt. How I- I feel. But I didn’t want him to think I was just using him, either. I made him a mixtape. I dunno, it was stupid. He tried to give it back. When he stole the Colt.”

Sam sighs. “Dean-”

“He doesn’t know, Sammy!” Dean’s voice breaks, and his bright green eyes are drowning in pain and regret and self-loathing as he finally looks at Sam. “I made him a mixtape because I couldn’t tell him the truth, and he doesn’t understand, and now he’s gone and he might- he might never know how I feel. He couldn’t stand to be around me anymore, that’s why he was always gone, always off doing his own thing… Why he went back to the angel-douches. He told me he was in love with me and I fucked it up and I drove him away and now… now he’s gone, and he doesn’t know…”

It’s the most vulnerable Sam has ever seen his older brother.

“What if this time he doesn’t come back?” Dean asks gruffly, and Sam can tell Dean- Dean! - is struggling not to cry.

“He’ll come back,” Sam reassures. “He always comes back.”

“Yeah,” Dean swallows. “Yeah. He does.”

“He loves you,” Sam reminds him, and Dean can feel his heart breaking open.

Cas, you son-of-a-bitch, Dean prays desperately. I love you too. I love you. Come back to me so I can tell you in person. I swear I’ll tell you every damn day for the rest of my life. Please come back. Please be okay.

“Come on, Dean,” Sam says. “Let’s go find our family.”

Dean’s POV

“Damn it Dean, wake up!” Dean heard Sam yelling at him as he lay sprawled across his bed. Groaning, he picked up his pillow, attempting to cover his head with it, hoping it would make his annoying brother leave him alone for at least a couple more hours.

“Not now. You need to get up!” Sam continued. Cursing, Dean rubbed his eyes, glancing at the bright red numbers on his alarm clock.

“Any reason you brought us all in here?” Dean asked, watching you carefully as he sat next to Sam and Cas at the library table.

Fragments Masterlist

Ever since the night Cas told you parts of your soul were gone, you’d withdrawn from everyone. Dean hadn’t pushed you, even though you could tell he desperately wanted you to open up to him about whatever it was you were feeling. The absolute truth of it was, you weren’t sure what it was you were feeling. It was all so overwhelming; being thrust back into a world you knew nothing about.

Sam was right, you were good at research. You’d spent most days holed up in your room with your laptop relearning how to be a hunter. When night fell, you’d wait until you were sure everyone was asleep or at the very least in their own rooms and creep out into the library to read more lore. You fully invested yourself in it. You wanted to be a hunter again.

“Y/N?” Cas’ figure cast a shadow in the library and you lifted your head from your research, giving him a half smile. “Are you alright?”

“No.” You whispered, mostly to yourself. Cas was there instantly, sitting next to you and resting his hand on top of yours. “Why are you being so nice to me?”

Cas smiled and laced his fingers with yours. “Well, first and foremost, we were great friends. You understood me in a way nobody else ever did. You read people…and angels…well. I don’t know if that’s something you’ve noticed.” You nodded and huffed a laugh. “Second, I promised your father once that I’d look out for you. I failed once. I don’t intend to do it again.”

“Failed me how?” You questioned. “A lot of people feel like they failed me. People die. You can’t prevent it. It just happens.”

“What do you mean [Y/N] just up and left,” Gabriel shouted, taking a step closer to the younger Winchester.  The archangel’s amber eyes glared at Sam, waiting for an answer.

Dean stepped in between Sam and Gabriel, holding a hand in the air.  “Look we didn’t know [Y/N] was going to leave,” Dean defended.  “She didn’t tell either of us, Cas, or you.”

“There has to be a reason as to why she left,” Sam reasoned.  “She didn’t leave a note or anything.  She hardly took any of her stuff with her.  Maybe there’s some unfinished business that she doesn’t wanna talk about?”

“girls” the 1975 (dean x reader) lyric smut

warnings: this is extremely nsfw, and it includes many mature gifs that contain sexual content! contains underage (17) girl x 30 y/o dean

a/n: i’m not too happy with how this came out, but it is my first lyric post so we’ll see.

listen to “girls” by the 1975 here

bite your face to spite your nose / seventeen and a half years old / worrying about my brother finding out / what’s the fun in doing what you’re told?

“listen,” dean said sternly, looking into her eyes. “if you want to keep doing this, you’re going to need to quiet down. if my brother finds out that me, a 30 year old, is fucking around with a seventeen year old, he’s going to beat my ass.”

“dean,” she laughed, “don’t sweat it. he won’t find out,” she assured him.

i’m not your typical stoned eighteen year old / give me a night i’ll make you

“and remember, eighteen in two weeks,” she added, smiling at dean. he shook his head and thought to himself, what the hell am i doing. she lifted her hands to cup his bearded face and leant down for a passionate kiss, and that’s when he realized he was in too deep.

i know you’re looking for salvation in the secular age / but girl i’m not your savior

“i don’t think this can go on any longer. sam is starting to catch on, and i’m starting to feel guilty, like i’m taking advantage of you,” dean mumbled, looking at the ground.

“but dean, its only a couple of years, and age doesn’t matter! i need you,” she cried, reaching to grasp his hands, but he pulled away from her reach.

“i’m not helping you, and just because i’m older doesn’t mean i’m your savior or something.”

one moment i was tearing off your blouse / now you’re living in my house / what happened to just messing ‘round?

dean’s frantic hands flew to her blouse, pulling it over her head and breaking the kiss. their lips quickly found each other again, and she pushed her body flush against dean’s.

“hey, dean?” she murmured into the kiss.

“yeah?” he asked, moving down to kiss and nip at her neck gingerly, and she tilted her head back, creating space for his lips to explore.

“i hope you don’t mind, but i need to stay here for a few weeks. i haven’t exactly been getting along with my parents lately,” she said, running her hands through dean’s hair.

he immediately pulled away, looking at her with regret. his hands falling from her hips. “this was supposed to be casual,” he groaned, sitting down on his bed and running his hands through his hair frustratedly. “what happened to just messing around?”

i said yo, i think i better go, i can’t take you / you just sit and get stoned with thirty year olds and you think you’ve made it / well, shouldn’t you be fucking with somebody your age instead of making changes?

“this is starting to get ridiculous. you’re 17, stop acting like you’ve done something with your life! all you do is sit around with sam and i and think you’ve made it. like you’re an adult or something,” dean hollered, pointing in her face.

“don’t yell at me!” she cried, covering her face to shield her tears from dean. this enraged him even more. before he could control himself, his chest was puffing and his fists were clenching.

“god, i can’t take you!” he screamed, hitting a lamp with his hand and knocking it off of the night stand. “shouldn’t you be fucking with someone your age? why me? i’m sure there are plenty of little tweens who would love to get in your pants.”

i told her from the start / destined to be hard / i told her from the start / i’ll break your heart

5 months earlier

“are you sure this is what you want?”dean questioned, running his hands over her hair.

“yes,” she uttered, looking up at dean with doe eyes.

“i’m telling you, being with me isn’t exactly a walk in the park. this is all casual, so don’t even think about falling,” he warned her, knowing that in the end she might end up with a broke heart.

“trust me,” she whispered, leaning up from her position on his chest, “i don’t get attached easily,” she informed dean as she pressed kisses to his neck.

they’re just girls, breaking hearts / eyes bright, uptight, just girls / but she can’t be what you need if she’s seventeen / they’re just girls

“she’s not what you need, dean! for christ’s sake, she’s fucking seventeen years old! what were you thinking?” sam yelled angrily, staring at dean with a questioning glance.

“she’s just a girl. she was nothing more.”
