hi everytime i think about ouma's love hotel scene i start crying because it's the ONLY ONE where saihara is HIMSELf,,, first off that's so fuckigngn gay ouma loves him! he's like. confirmed worst flirt ever / saihara is oblivious as FUCK and it's just! the Funniest thing of all time bc ouma WANTS IT BUT DOESNT KNOW HOW TO GET THAT ACROSS BUT THEN HE GETS ALL SERIOUS AND IS LIKE "and /thats/ definitely not a lie" i swear to god i fucking yelled so loud i love oumasai i'm really tired it's one AM
Ohhh buddy fucking me too my man. This love hotel is like. Komaeda’s cop out confession, except like a five minute long event. It’s really obvious how gay Ouma is; but at the last second he’s like “JK Saihara-chan! bye!”, and Saihara’s just like “well idk what the fuck that was.” It’s the same. It’s just on a larger scale. Although to be fair to Saihara, Ouma lies regularly all the time about anything, even if he wasn’t here, so y’know what Saihara can have that.
Ouma “can’t flirt for shit” Kokichi confirmed. master manipulator and analyst? Yep. But the minute a cute boy is involved? out the window. “How do I connect with other people” -Ouma probably.
I do think about Ouma leaving a lot. This is the one place that’s basically designed to give you whatever you want for a night, and I think Ouma knew that. I’ve written about this before, but I think Ouma is aware the love hotel works like a simulator situation, and I think he’s aware of it the entire time, which is something that influences his actions here. And that probably plays into why he leaves.
I mean obvious reason #1 why he leaves is Saihara did not appear to want it and Ouma’s not gonna fucking rape Saihara, but I think even if Saihara reacted differently he’d leave anyway. As much as Ouma is supportive of lies, taking advantage of the room…he knows it’s fake. It’d be letting himself have something he knows is a lie–lying to yourself to a extreme just for a moment, and Ouma doesn’t like when you lie to yourself, even if in the killing game he does it constantly out of necessity. Lying to yourself will only hurt you in the end, and so would having this one moment of pretend. So he would have left anyway, because it’s not real.
