A Kiss in the Rain - Damian Wayne x Reader

Requested by Anon - an imagine where the reader in a relationship with someone who is hardly around and when they are there really rude. Damian Wayne goes to comfort reader (she has had a crush on him for since she was like 12) and Damian and reader end up kissing.

Damian watched you from across the table with concern. You pretended to be focused on your homework, but he could tell you were eyeing the clock on the wall. It was Damian’s and your free period at school. The two of you always did your homework together in the library, but recently you had been more distracted as of late, especially after you started dating Taylor.

“(Y/N),” Damian demanded, scowling when you jumped in surprise at his voice. “You have been working on the same math problem for twenty minutes. Do you require assistance?”

You glanced at your paper, shaking your head distractedly. “No, I’m fine,” you replied, giving Damian a tiny smile. Damian’s heart skipped a beat at the sight. You focused back on the clock. “Taylor said they’ll stop by before they have to leave for the away game.”

“TT,” Damian huffed, going back to his work. He pressed his pencil so hard onto the paper the tip snapped. Growling, he got up to use the pencil sharper across the room. You watched him, wishing for the thousandth time in your friendship with Damian that he could see you as more than just a friend.

Pursing your lips as you crushed the wish to glance at the clock again. You had to remind yourself that you were with Taylor now. You were happy, or at least that is what you told yourself.

“Hey babe,” a voice greeted, causing you to whip around as you forced a bright smile onto your face.

“Taylor, I was waiting for you,” you replied, getting up to go to them. Taylor held out their arm, keeping you away.

“No hugs, I just washed this jacket,” they warned, frowning at you. You bit your lip, your smile falling slightly.

“Oh, sorry. I was just happy to see you,” you apologized, sinking back into your seat. Taylor sat in Damian’s chair, leaning across the table to talk to you in a low voice.

From across the room, Damian eyed the two of you as he cranked the pencil sharpener. When he saw your smile faltered, he snapped his pencil in half, trapping the writing end in the sharpener. Growling, he glared at his broken pencil before stomping back over to the table.

“I told you I can’t hang out with you on Saturday. I’ll be too busy hanging out with my friends,” Taylor sneered as Damian came into ear shot. “I would have asked you to come, but you know how Amy doesn’t like you.” Rage filled Damian’s heart when he saw the hurt on your face.

“Oh, okay,” you replied, blinking rapidly to hide your teary eyes. “So, I guess you’ll come over on Sunday night like always?”

“Yeah, and maybe we can watch some TV or something,” Taylor said, ignoring you in favor of their phone. They snickered at it as Damian came up beside them.

Damian narrowed his eyes, clenching his hands into fists before clearing his throat. Taylor looked up in disinterest, clearly unthreatened by Damian’s glare. “Oh, hi Wayne,” they spoke, standing up from the chair. Taylor turned back to you. “I gotta go. So (Y/N), you’ll let me copy your math homework right?”

You hung your head, mumbling your reply. “Sure, of course.” Taylor smirked at you, reaching out to pat your arm.

“I’ll see you two later.” Taylor turned and left the room, leaving silence in their wake. Damian sunk back down into his chair, frowning at how warm it was. He laid his broken pencil on the table, eyeing you carefully.

“(Y/N), the pencil sharpener has eaten my pencil once again. May I borrow one of your mechanical ones?” Damian asked when you had yet to raise your head. You took a few shaky breaths before standing up from the table, tossing Damian your pencil bag.

“Help yourself, I have to go to the bathroom,” you gasped, running out of the room. Damian could have swore he saw the glimmer of tears on your cheeks.

“TT,” Damian huffed, clenching your pencil bag in his hand as he stared at the door you ran out of. His stomach twisted, his heart aching at the fact you were dating a fool who didn’t appreciate you to the fullest. After all, if you were his, Damian would never let you go, and most certainly never make you cry. Damian growled at the thought, hating how you would never seen him as any more than a friend.

Well maybe for some people school started last week but still I hope this post it’s helpful. I had a lot of experiences with backpacks through my highschool years and now in college/ university.

For me the most comfortable way of carrying all my necessities is a backpack and not a bag, here is why:

- Backpack are comfortable and have so much more space
- They come in all shape and sizes and are customizable.
- Easy to wash and a little less expensive.
- No pain on your shoulder or arm because of the heaviness of a bag.

Now for the reason of the post, this for me are the essential things you should have:

- Notebook/iPad: for taking notes and searching in class.

-Journal: for the important dates and thoughts.

-Stationary: Pens (Stabilo, Pilot G2, Muji, Zebra, Staedtler), markers (Sharpie, Zebra Mildliner), washi tape, erasers, sharper, mini stapler and pencils.

- Book of preference: this will help to kill time through your free periods. (Mine right now is Inferno by Dan Brown)

-Water and energy: Remember to carry your bottle of water and some snacks for boosting your energy like energy bars (personally I like Nature Valley), blueberries, cranberries, some cookies, etc…

- Bag of makeup: I’m no the kind of persons who likes to have this item on her bag but it’s a life saver for emergencies, in it I have: compact powder, the lipstick or lipbalm, mascara, Kleenex and tiny container (like those round of Nivea for creams or balm) with Vaseline, this odd container with the Kleenex will help you if you have a smudge mascara and even if you made a mistake with your brows.

-Headphones: for studying, canceling noise or just simply killing time with good music or audio book.

This is what i carry on my backpack, believe me it’s so much easier if your use one and not a bag for example: I have a friend that loves her Nine West giant bag and use it for school but she complains about the weight of her things (laptop included), yes bag are pretty and make you look girly but they are a pain in the ass and you don’t want pain or marks on your shoulders specially on those long days.

So my advice girls is if you don’t feel comfortable with a backpack like Jansport or Kanken types find a Instagram one like this ones, comfort doesn’t mean ugly.

I hope you found useful this post guys, I would love to know what is in your backpack or bag 🙆🏻✨ and exchange tips.

Which matsus rank best to worst at cooking!

PRETTY GOOD:

Choromatsu

Todomatsu

COULD MANAGE IF THEY TRIED:

Ichimatsu

Jyushimatsu

CAN’T EVEN MAKE CEREAL WITHOUT BURNING THE HOUSE DOWN:

Karamatsu

Osomatsu

Don’t expect anything fancy or overly difficult to make from Choro, but he can follow most recipes with ease.

Totty makes mistakes sometimes (messaging cute people can be pretty distracting, come on), but is fairly good at baking in return!

Ichi somehow always ends up watching cooking shows, but he swears he just… happens to be there, by coincidence. It’s not like he’s interested in cooking or anything. It’s too much effort anyway. When he absolutely has to, though, he can manage with all the knowledge he’s randomly accumulated.

You wouldn’t expect Jyushi to bring forth anything edible, but he unexpectedly does. You’re pretty sure you saw a whole jar of jam disappear in that indistinguishable mass of horror… but, surprisingly enough, the outcome looks (and tastes) pretty normal. Jyushi works in mysterious ways, alright.

Kara tries really really hard, but please don’t give this child anything sharper than a pencil - he will definitely hurt himself. He can improve if he tries, though, so it’s okay.

Oso on the other hand… Just… give up on him ever learning how to cook. It’s for everyone’s safety.

Eyeliner 101

(This has taken me forever to post, but here is my personal non-professional guide to eyeliner! Check out Foundation 101 too!)

Here are the basics to eyeliner. It’s really amazing how much better I feel by just drawing a line on my eyelid; it may seem really insignificant, but it makes such a huge difference.

Eyeliner is one of the easiest products to buy. While there is a huge variety in type, it can be found nearly anywhere and is such a makeup staple. It’s small and easy to store, and once you’ve gotten enough practice, you can do it on the fly!

Important Tips

  1. Practice, practice, practice! If it looks all smudgy and weird the first time you try, that’s okay! It happens to everyone!
  2. Steady hands are key.
  3. Eyeliner goes on top of eye shadow.
  4. Start small and work your way up. If you’re brave enough to jump right into a liquid liner cat eye, go for it! Just know that it may be difficult and frustrating, and will be much easier to start smaller.
  5. Be adventurous! Eyeliner is a perfect way to switch up your look in subtle way before diving headfirst into something super adventurous, like a bold lip.
  6. If you are lining your bottom lid/lashline, back sure you are lining your top lid/lashline as well! Lining just the bottom will make your eyes look tired and heavy, which you may not want unless you are specifically going for that look.
  7. Invest in some good makeup remover, especially if you are using waterproof eye makeup. (Remember, always always always remove your makeup at night!)
  8. As with foundation (or any makeup you’re trying out), watch YouTube tutorials! I’ll provide specific links, but here’s a list to get you started.
  9. If you are wearing eye makeup, it’s easy to forget, so don’t rub your eyes. It will majorly smudge all over the place.
  10. Opening your mouth while putting on eyeliner actually does help!
  11. Start the line very thin on the inner corner of your eye, and thicken it as you move to the outer corner of your eye. Play around to find the thickness and shape that you like the best.
  12. Whenever your eyeliner is becoming brittle/gluey/generally unpleasant, throw it away. It’s probably old and you’re more likely to get an infection from old/dirty eyeliner.
  13. The eyes are very sensitive, not only because of your eyeballs, but because the skin around your eyes/eyelids is the thinnest on your body. So be careful!
  14. Q-tips (cotton swabs) are your friends. It is very easy to mess up or go overboard, so make sure you have q-tips on hand to help you clean up smudges or excess liner.
  15. When in doubt, try again! It’s okay if you mess up, just wipe it off and start over.

Pencil

Pencil eyeliner is the easiest, most basic type of eyeliner. It literally looks like a pencil and you can buy eyeliner sharpeners to sharpen it. You don’t have to spend a ton of money to find a good-quality eyeliner; convenience stores like CVS, Walgreens, and Boots have plenty of options. To test whether or not a pencil eyeliner is good quality or not, check for a few things:

  • Does it break easily? If it does, it’s no good.
  • Does it glide on easily? Remember, your eyelids are very sensitive, so an eyeliner that draws smoothly is very important.
  • Is this the right color for me? Black eyeliner tends to look a little harsh on lighter complexions and lighter eye colors. Play around with colors to find the one you like the best.
  • Is it super smudgy? Believe me, smudgy eyeliner is not worth it. You want an eyeliner that will remain where it is for the whole day, so you don’t end up looking like a raccoon by lunchtime.

If it covers all this criteria, you are good to go!

For daytime/informal places like school or babysitting, less is more. A simple line on your upper lashline will probably be just fine. It’s super easy to overdo it, so have a friend or someone else you trust give you an honest opinion. For smokey eyes, night time events, or if you feel like being a little more fancy, try different colors and play with the thickness of the line.

Here are some guides to applying pencil eyeliner:

What I use: Pencil eyeliner is what I use most frequently. I’m a big fan of the eyeliners you can twist up when you need more, instead of the ones you have to manually sharpen. My favorite pencil eyeliners are from Maybelline and Sephora’s makeup brand. I like to use black eyeliner on my upper lid and brown on my lower. Brown is less harsh and looks a little more natural, but still gives definition.

Liquid

Liquid eyeliner is the holy grail of eyeliner. It is much trickier and messier to work with, but once you master it, it’s so worth it. It often looks cleaner and sharper than pencil eyeliner, and a cat eye can make you feel awesome. But before we get ahead of ourselves, make sure you’re getting the right thing. The formula can’t be too watery and thin, nor can it be too thick and gluey. Otherwise things will turn out horribly. Liquid eyeliners come as felt-tip liners, which look very much like very thin markers and they also come in a tube, with a tiny little brush at the end. Paying a little more for better quality eyeliner will definitely pay off.

Tutorials to practice with:

What I use: Currently, I’m using L'Oreal (I think), and I like the formula, but it’s getting a little old, so I need to throw it out.

Gel

Gel eyeliner is not as watery as liquid liner and has more of a creamy consistency, which allows you a little more control. It typically comes in a little pot and you apply it with a small angled brush or a lip brush. Gel liner often provides the same looks as liquid eyeliner, so use whichever one you prefer!

To get you started:

What I use: I’ve actually never used gel eyeliner, but when I do, I’ll update this and let you know!
