Here’s to the people we said goodbye to, even though all we ever wanted was to hold on to them, begging them to stay. Here’s to those of us who still think of someone who’s long gone and struggle to let go. Here’s to the people we miss so much that the mere thought of them feels like a knife to the throat. Here’s to chances we didn’t take because the fear of failing was more than something that crossed our minds, it was a tangible thing that seeped into our skin and paralysed our bones. Here’s to the tears we allow to stream down our cheeks before we fall asleep at night so no one sees. Here’s to the love we have given over the years, the pieces of our hearts we handed out and never got back. Here’s to feelings we had to hide and fake smiles we plastered on our faces to uphold our charades. Here’s to whatever obstacle we’ve had to overcome, whatever battle we’ve had to fight, whatever pain we’ve had to feel, to make us kinder and better people - to make us evolve and grow. Here’s to everyone who believes in something more, in magic, in love, in the power of dreams and faith and everyone who has something to fight for. Here’s to everything that made us who we are today. Every glorious thing, the mountains we had to climb, the stars we had to count. Here’s to our ordinary lives we never fail to turn into something extraordinary. Here’s to our beautiful selves, raw and real, a reminder that life is not a line or a constant, but a vivid creature with its ups and downs and that all inconveniences considered, we’re doing pretty damn great.
Prompt: The reader’s nosy (and quite rude) relatives are coming over for an unexpected family dinner. Long story short, they expect the reader to have a boyfriend, which the reader most definitely does not have. Luckily, they do have a best friend by the name of Peter Parker. One small favor wouldn’t be too much to ask, right?
Warnings: Some angst towards the end.
Word Count: 3,524
A/N: The reader doesn’t know Peter is Spider-Man in this imagine. Also, I’m sorry if there are any grammatical errors. My usual beta reader wasn’t available and I really wanted to get this imagine posted. Enjoy!
“I-I’m sorry, what?” Peter stammered back through the phone.
This was not how you planned this day to go.
“It’s a long story. Nosy relatives coming over for dinner, may have lied and said I had a boyfriend just to get them to shut up, don’t actually have a boyfriend, typical family stuff, you know?” you tried to explain.
There was a slight pause as Peter digested all of the information you just threw at him.
“Okay, so basically, you broke under pressure and lied about have a boyfriend, and now you need me to be your boyfriend to protect you from your nosy relatives?” repeated Peter.
You rolled your eyes, perfectly aware that Peter couldn’t see them through the phone call, but positive that he felt the frustration anyway, “I didn’t break under pressure, I just… improvised.”
“Oh yeah, totally,” said Peter, voice dripping with playful sarcasm. “So do you need me to be your boyfriend or not?”
THE STYDIA KISS (and hug)- an Extra™ frame by frame analysis
ok so we start out with this shit. even before this frame, dude is staring at them Martin lips like he’s in the middle of the desert and they’re the only water for miles. Then we get here and they both go in OPEN goddamn MOUTH for this kiss. she is PUCKERED for him. She was puckered ten feet ago, she was puckered when she walked in the damn door, hell, she was puckered 3 months ago. She got her tongue fucking ready to dock at Port Stilinski Lips.
She comes in fucking Little Caesar’s Hot ‘N Ready with the hands on the neck. goddamn. And they are PRESSED into each other. If they were kissing any deeper they would swallow each other. Which now, come to think of it, might have been their goal.
a/n: Okay, I’m not new to writing or anything but this IS my first post on this brand spanking new account! I hope you guys like it!
warning: lots of angst and all that
summary: reader pines after Peter, who doesn’t realize it as he’s infatuated with Liz
I can’t say my heart didn’t break a little more each and every time I caught Peter staring at or blushing over Liz Allen. She was so freaking gorgeous, and in all honesty perfect in every single way, except for her personality maybe. Even though Peter and I had been the best of friends for years, I could never compare to how much love and adoration he had for the girl, and it broke me every single day.
I sighed heavily, trying to shake the depressing thoughts from my mind as I continued walking to school. I don’t know how it happened and I wish it never had, but one day I just woke up and saw Peter in a whole new way. He had just come over to my apartment for our weekly movie night, which had been our tradition since we were little kids.
I heard a knock sound from the front door, signaling that my best friend was probably waiting on the other side.
“Come in Peter! The doors open!” I shook my head, since he should already know that after coming to my house countless of times.
Camping Antics – ArchiexReader! Mini Fic - Part Three.
Heyyyyy. Here is the final part of the mini fic, just to round things off. This is a really short part, but its literally just intended to finish the fic ok. Any suggestions for other oneshots etc, please hit me up in my ask!
Summary: Archie and (Y/N) may or not get caught by the others.
It was getting to the point where I was having internal battles with myself every night. ‘Y/N he’s working on the novel and the newspaper, of course, it’s going to be harder for him to spend time with you’ versus ‘he’s moved on, he’s closer with Betty now, he and Archie are closer too, you’ve lost him, you’re irrelevant’. These were the thoughts that had been consuming my brain for the past couple of weeks. Jug was my best friend, right? Maybe I should text him? Maybe not. I started playing with my pale grey cap, my nervous tick of sorts. Jug could always tell when I was nervous because I would fiddle with the cap “Y/N” he’d say “spill it, you can’t hide anything from me, I can read you like an open book”. Thinking about this little memory was bittersweet. How can someone who’s practically by your side every day suddenly just have no real interest in talking to you? Ever since the murder of Jason Blossom, it really feels like everything in Riverdale has changed.
I glanced at my clock perched on my bedside table, 7:45 pm sigh. Maybe doing some homework will take my mind off all this bullshit, who’s idea was it to put me in advanced algebra anyway? Oh, that’s right my father, who I really wish was here right now and not away on some business trip. Tonight would have to be a lonely one. That’s when I remembered I had Jug’s math textbook, there it was sitting on my desk. I flipped it open and sure enough on the bottom left-hand corner was a small ‘property of Jughead Jones’. Perfect I could use this as an excuse to text him.
Hey Jug, I forgot I had your math textbook? Want me to come drop it over? The two-hour wait to get a reply just built up more and more anger inside of me Hey Y/N, I’m working on an article with Betty right now, could you drop it off to me in the newsroom in free period tomorrow? This was it, this was fucking it, oh I would take his textbook to him tomorrow and I would also confront him about this whole thing, that’s what I’d do straight up ask him why I was suddenly dead weight, I’ve had his guys back for so many years and now I’m just nothing, I won’t have it. Will do I sent back, cool calm and collected and then I was going to give him a piece of my mind tomorrow.
Getting ready for school was never a difficult task for me, I pretty much did the same thing everyday. My Y/H/C was tied into a ponytail with the front strands falling onto my face framing it. I put on my classic ripped boyfriend jeans and a black t-shirt, accompanied by my army jacket. To finish off my classic look I added my signature grey cap and put on my favourite dark grey lipstick. I wasn’t the girliest of girls, that was for sure, but everyone seemed to identify me by my style and in this I found comfort. After giving myself the once over in the mirror I grabbed Jug’s textbook from my desk, shoving it into my bag and I set off for school.
The day dragged on and on, I had a tonne of classes with Kevin and Ronnie today so it was nice to hang out with them for a change. This was of course until Kevin pulled the “I haven’t seen you and Jughead together in a while, what happened you two are usually joined at the hip?” line “You guys are my otp, I hope there’s no trouble in paradise” Veronica added. “Ronnie we’re not dating, why does everyone always think that and honestly, I don’t know, I guess he’s been too busy with this whole novel and newspaper thing to remember me as well” I replied giving my best interpretation of a fake smile. Veronica and Kevin gave me sympathetic looks.
As the bell rang, signaling our release I was packing my things together when Veronica grabbed my arm. “Y/N you need to tell Jug how you feel, I don’t know if you’ve even admitted it to yourself yet but it’s pretty obvious you’re in love with him, I can see how much not seeing him is hurting you and I think it’s best if you face this head on” I was so taken aback by this, I mean for years I’ve always had people ask if Jug and I were dating but no one had been this blatant with me. Was she right?, No he’s my best friend, I couldn’t be in love with him no way. I let out an awkward laugh “I don’t love Jughead, we’re just friends” It came out so defensive that Veronica raised both her eyebrows and folded her arms “the fact that you’re being so defensive about this just further proves my point” She said in a sing-song voice. “I gotta go Ronnie” I replied standing up from my seat and walking out the classroom “I only say this cause’ I care” she yelled after me.
Making my way towards the newsroom, I’d never felt so nervous in my life, like get a grip girlie it was just your friend, surely this whole not speaking to me thing was just, not even a big deal and I was hyping it all up. I was still going to have a go at him though because he was angry when Archie ditched him and now he’s okay with doing it to me? Not on my watch.
I had the math book in my hand as I was walking up to the door of the newsroom, I had my best ‘pissed off face’ going on I was ready.
I had my hand almost on the doorknob when I took a quick glance through the doors glass window. That was when my stomach fell, my jaw dropped and my heart involuntarily shattered. It was just a glimpse that’s all I could allow myself to watch, but inside that dusty old newsroom was one Jughead Jones kissing Elizabeth Cooper. The feelings hit me like a truck, and then everything went numb.
I didn’t know what to do so without giving any sign I was there I dropped the math book and ran, I ran out of the school I ran past pops and all the way home. By this time the tears were free falling, I couldn’t stop it and I didn’t care. Once I was in the safety of being inside my house with the door locked I gave in to my emotions and just slid down to the floor.
Wow, I felt so stupid and so naive, why didn’t I see this coming, it all made perfect sense now. I guess this was me also coming to terms with the fact that as usual Ronnie was right, I was painfully in love with Jug and now I was too late to ever do anything about it.
The more I sat there and thought about it the more I came to realise that this was my fault. I held Jug up to this crazy high standard and just assumed it would always be him and me at the end of the day. I had sacrificed so much to hang out with him, to keep my “image”, I avoided making too many other friends, I avoided parties, extracurricular activities you name it I wasn’t a part of it. Now it was all going to change, it had to change. Maybe this was the wake-up call I needed. I had to work on myself, be better, be stronger. Most of all this needed to happen because this meant I could quite literally not be around Jughead anymore, I think seeing or talking to him would make me cry, something the new me will NOT be doing.
I picked myself up off the floor and headed to the bathroom to wash my face. “Get a grip Y/N, ” I told myself staring into the mirror. It’s like as soon as I come to terms with the feelings I think I may have had for years, I have to immediately try to get rid of them. I think this was a coping mechanism for me, and I think the reason I’ve never let myself admit that I had feelings for him before was because I fear rejection so much so very much, and I had to do what I knew would keep him around and that was to continue to be his friend. Well, little girl it’s time to grow up.
And what’s the best way to look more mature and confident, change your style. From what I’ve witnessed from the media, what you wear can have a profound impact on how people view you. This is what I had to do first, get rid of the “old me” look. This meant bye grey cap, bye dark lipstick ( I mean what was I even trying to do with that? Look like a corpse?) (oh wow corpse jokes really funny, maybe a bit too real in light of recent circumstances.) And also a very big goodbye to my jeans and army jacket, that would have to go too.
Looking through my closet it was apparent I didn’t have much to work with, I would definitely have to go shopping this weekend, I’ll bring Ronnie and Kevin along, they know fashion and are probably more than willing to help me out. AH HUH eureka! The dress I’ve been looking for! About two months ago I bought this really nice burgundy skater dress that I was planning to wear on a summer trip away, but when that got cancelled I never really had an excuse to wear it, until now. It showed a lot of leg, which I was surprisingly pretty comfortable with. The thought of people seeing me in this tomorrow made me feel a mixture of excitement and nausea.
The next thing that would change was the hair; no more would it be hidden by a cap and just randomly pulled back behind my face. I would wear it down and give it a curl. I think that would give me a nice elegant edge. God, I really don’t think anyone’s even going to recognise me tomorrow, kinda funny really. The next thing I had to do was go on to the school website and look for an extracurricular I would be willing to do. Hopefully, this would be a good way to make new friends and keep me busy.
I went and grabbed my laptop from my desk, as I did this I heard my phone vibrate, which meant I had a message. The name that made the screen light up made my heart skip a few beats, it was from Jug Hey, I just found my math book outside the newsroom? Why did you leave it there and not come inside? SIGH, reading that was like a knife to my chest, I immediately deleted the message, this may be immature but I needed time, I can’t bring myself to talk to him and if he can do it to me I can sure as hell do it to him.
Shaking those thoughts away I was brought back to the task at hand. Logging onto the schools web page I found the list of extracurricular activities going on at Riverdale high. Chess club? Pass. Girl’s soccer? Hard pass. Mathletes? No way in hell. Come on there has to be something here. After fifteen minutes of looking to no avail I scrolled past the extracurricular activities. Eventually I saw an ad posted by the she-devil herself Cheryl Blossom, apparently, one of the river vixens had broken her ankle and a new vixen was needed immediately, auditions were tomorrow after school. Hmm, could I do this? Maybe I could? The old me would never dream of being a cheerleader but the new me, maybe she could. You know what, fuck it. It was decided, I caught myself slightly smiling as I clicked ‘attend’ on the event. It felt like a breath of fresh air, tomorrow I would walk into school confident and new. I was going to cure my own broken heart. I just hoped a run in with Jughead wouldn’t make it all come crashing down.
Author: @dumbass-stilinski Rating: NSFW 18+ Pairing: Dylan O’Brien/Reader Words: 4,170 AN: This was an anon request for a Soulmate AU where you didn’t see colors until you met your soulmate. I hope I did this justice because Soulmate AU’s are my FAVORITE. Love ya’ll, let me know what you think!
Title taken from Halsey’s Colors. The Veselka and Space Billiards are real places in NYC. You’re welcome.
If there was anything you wanted more in life, it was to meet your soulmate. As strange as it sounds, meeting your soulmate was a top priority in everyone’s life, because you needed to meet them in order to see color. The world was just a drab mixture of blacks and greys before that. Your mother had explained it to you once when you were small, that color would wash over your vision slowly, dull and drab, but still there. It was only when you got to know them more that the colors would become brighter, streaks of red and blue and yellow lighting up the world in full HD.
It’s been two weeks. Two weeks since we found out about Y/N’s overdose that lead her to being in a coma. The past two weeks have been hell, we would take it in turns - visiting her and staying by her side, and right now it was my turn again.
I had so many regrets, more than I could ever say out loud. I shouldn’t have said those things. I should have filtered my own thoughts before hitting that send button. I should have never joked around about something so serious. We should have known. Y/N’s condition was never the best, there were so many things she would say that she hated about herself. Even to me, at first; I thought she was only saying things like that because she was trying to pry for attention. But I was so wrong. I should have noticed all the signs, the signs of her screaming out for help. But I did nothing. I did nothing.
I heard the room door slide open and all the members had arrived, some bearing food, the others bearing flowers and other gifts. Not like Y/N could even see the flowers, or the teddy bears or eat the chocolates right now… But I had faith. I had faith that she was going to wake up eventually.
Seeing her lie there pains my heart. I couldn’t eat, I couldn’t sleep. I felt like complete shit. This was partly my fault and if anything were to happen to her. I don’t know how I would live with myself. All of our schedules have been postponed and I was glad that they were, I don’t think I could even fake a smile right now. I was dying inside. I just wanted Y/N to wake up.
Please Y/N, stop sleeping… wake up.
We all looked drained, every single one of us had dark bags underneath our eyes. Some of us even had red and puffy eyes from crying. Ever since this incident had happened, we spoke so little to one another, our communication was cut because we all knew we were at fault. We didn’t want to talk because no one knew what to say. We had no excuses for out actions. We knew that we were all partly to blame for all of this and we were guilty. Every single one of us were guilty, and the guilt will continue to linger.
I missed hearing her laugh. I miss seeing her smile. But after all of this, it made me wonder. Were any of those laughs or smiles ever genuine? She was suffering and she hid it so well, it could have been possible for her to hide it away from us. But still that was no excuse. No excuse for the way that we behaved, no excuse for the shit that we dragged her through, because now look where she is. Lying so lifelessly on the hospital bed. I hated thinking that way but it was true and it’s about time that we admitted it to ourselves because we should feel guilty.
If only we gave her a chance to talk to us. If only we allowed her to share her troubles with us without doubting everything, if we did all those things then would she still be here like the way that she is? I don’t know, I had no idea what the answer was. Maybe we could have consulted her, maybe we could have stopped this. But we didn’t, we didn’t because we were selfish. We took it too far and pushed her over the edge, and now what do we do? What can we do?
How? How could we have possibly said such things? Oh, that’s because we’re useless assholes that didn’t know any better, we should have helped her. But we didn’t we neglected the idea that she was in need of our help and when we realised that we had fucked it all up. It was already too late. I was thankful that she was still alive, although barely. I hated coming here to see her, I wanted to see her at her place so we could play video games again. But when will that ever become possible again? When will it be possible when she’s lying here and it’s because of us that she is?
I heard the monitor beep in the background like it has done for the last couple of weeks, monitoring Y/N’s heartbeat. But this time the beeping was different, it was louder, more unstable. I looked across the room and saw Y/N’s once relaxed body now jolting I didn’t know what to do, Yoongi who was sat next to her slammed his fist onto the emergency button and Jungkook sprinted out of the room, calling for help during the process. I stood there, not having a clue how to process anything, Y/N’s seizure came to and end and long beep sounded through the room, the sound of a flatline. The doctors ran in alongside with a few nurses, they shoved us away from the bed area and began to shock her. One time, nothing. Second time, nothing. Third time, still nothing. No matter how many times they tried, it made no difference to her heartbeat. They couldn’t bring her back.
“Miss Y/L/N has passed, Dr. could you please pronounce her.”
“Miss Y/N Y/L/N passed, July 7th 2017 at 00:45am” They covered her entirety with the white sheet. I could no longer see her face. I will never get to see her face again and my whole world completely fell apart, the members sobbed and I knew I was doing so too. Rapmon had the back of his wrist held up to his mouth, as tears fell from his eyes. Yoongi, was shocked and had no clue what to process. Hoseok now on his knees with his head on the ground crying so loudly. Jimin, held onto Jungkook and cried with him. Taehyung’s forehead rested against the wall, his left fist punching into the wall. And I? I collapsed to the ground and wept.
This was our doing. We drove her to this, we drove her to her end and now we’ll have to live with the guilt because we… we were the ones who killed our friend.
Got7 Reaction: Trying To Talk To A Girl Who’s Really Shy
Requested by: Anonymous
A/N: As someone who’s extremely shy and socially awkward this was sooo easy to write. Although it hits a little too close to home for me :”3 Anyways, I hope you like this!! Thanks so much for requesting!!
||Requests Are Open||
Mark: This boy is extremely awkward when it comes to talking to girls, and a quiet person, so within approaching you he’d already be shy himself. Seeing that you were also like this would make him feel strangely more comfortable and would find you adorable. He’d try to get you to talk to him, but not to the point where you’d feel uncomfortable
Jackson: It’s Jackson Wang we’re talking about. No matter how shy you were, in matter of minutes this boy would be able to make you feel comfortable and get you to talk to him. His approach would be very friendly and warm and from the first seconds of getting to meet him, you’d already be laughing with his lame jokes.
Jaebum: I feel like Jaebum wouldn’t understand you were just shy, he would think you weren’t interested and would leave you alone. See, he’s kind of oblivious when it comes to girls and their behavior. If he really liked you, he’d come up to you again and you’d have to tell him you were just shy or else he’d get extremely offended.
Jinyoung: I feel like Jinyoung would know you were shy by just looking at you. Before he approached you he’d have studied the way you standed, talked and acted around to people. When he finally came up to you he’d be very polite and would ask you questions to get you to talk to him. He wouldn’t want to force you to speak to him by any means, just make you feel comfortable around him.
Youngjae:This sunshine would approach you slowly and would shoot you his bright smile, trying to start a small talk with you. If you didn’t talk and just looked at him smilling shyly he would understand that you were shy and would tell you to not feel uncomfortable and that he won’t judge you.
Bambam: International playboy BamBam doesn’t have the word “shy” in his dictionary. If he wanted to talk to you, nothing could stop him. He’d compliment you nonstop and have you blushing and giggling within the first seconds. He would get you to talk to him and make you feel comfortable around him sooo easily.
Yugyeom: Our maknae is so shy around girls, it’s no secret. He had to build up so much courage to come up to you only to realise you were as or even more shy than him. He’d smile at you and let you know that you didn’t have to feel nervous and would even admit he was quite reserved himself.
“Baby, I’m so sorry.” Tom looked at me apologetically through my phone screen.
Tears pricked the corners of my eyes. I couldn’t be prouder of what Tom’s achieved but I missed his presence so much. Now, Tom couldn’t make it home in time for my birthday tomorrow because of a sudden rush shooting for his newest project.
“It’s okay. I understand. I just miss you, Tommy.” My voice was quivering and a tear slipped down my cheek. I quickly wiped it away. Tom’s face crumbled.
“I miss you too, Y/N. I am so so so sorry. When I get back, I promise I’ll make it up to you. What do you want to eat? I’ll cook it.” Tom rambled. I wiped my nose.
“But you don’t know how to cook.” I stated.
“Well, I made you cry so now I do.” This made me laugh. “There’s the smile I love.”
She was nervous and he could tell. They had been dating for eight months when Harry asked her to live together. He bought them a house in LA, she wanted to stay in America and LA was the compromise. His family already hardly saw him and so when he made the move they weren’t happy.
Then Anne read somewhere that Harry had paid off her loans, and he had. Anne had read that her son paid for the mortgage on the house all on his own, and he had. Gemma had read that her brother bought her a car, which he had, but none of them knew that she refused the car, the loans, the house.
None of them knew how much she hated that Harry gave her everything, and she could give him nothing. They all saw her as a gold digger, which was far from it. She worked hard to pay off as much as she could before Harry got a hold of her loans, she hid the bills, she did her best. But Harry snooped and found them and paid them off, it was one of their biggest fights, but no one knew. Because if she complained she seemed ungrateful, and if she didn’t she was seen as a gold digger, she couldn’t win.
He did buy their house, but she helped out. She paid bills, she paid for groceries and furniture, she really did try. And when Harry bought her the car she stood her ground, he claimed her 2004 Ford would only take her so far, and she reminded him as long as it took her from point a to point b she would be fine, when she had to reach point c they would talk.
So when their house was all set and it looked just how she wanted, Harry asked to have a house warming party. He wanted his friends to see his new life, he wanted to show off the house, the cars, but more importantly he wanted to show her off. When his family heard they offered to fly out, they wanted to meet the girl he moved across countries for, they wanted to meet the girl who was draining his bank account.
Harry could tell she was nervous, she stood next to him, her hand gripping her glass. She insisted on not drinking and settled for sparkling cider, she was never much of a drinker and she didn’t want to risk being buzzed or drunk in his families presence. Harry squeezed her hand, his free one gripping his beer, his friends and her friends were all gathered around in the house and backyard. The grill was up and running and Niall offered to be in charge.
“You’ll be fine Y/N, I promise. I love you how can they not love someone I love?” Harry smiled, his thumb rubbing circles on her palm.
She took the last sips of her cider and set the empty glass down, “’m not good when I meet people,” she mumbled, “I get all shaky.”
“You’ll be fine, they’re lovely people,” Harry chuckled.
“I know they raised you,” she smiled, going up on her toes to kiss his cheek.
“Harry!” He heard his mother voice call, when he turned from his spot on the deck he saw her.
Anne stood by the door with Gemma, a wide grin on her face. She rushed over hugging Harry, Gemma followed her actions, “thank you for flying us out,” Anne says, “we just left our stuff in the living room Jeff offered to take it up stairs, he’s a wonderful man.”
“Yeah,” Harry agreed, “mum, Gem, this is Y/N,” Harry tugged on her arm lightly, pulling her in front of him.
She smiled softly, “hello,” she says gently, “I’m Y/N it’s so nice to meet you.”
“Anne,” Anne says, her voice isn’t as soft as it was when she talked to Harry, it was slightly cold and she didn’t enjoy the way Anne’s look seemed to have hardened as well.
“I’m Gemma,” Gemma faked a smile, holding out her hand.
She shook it and the clamped her hands together, “how was your flight?” she asked.
“It was fine,” Anne’s answer was short and simple.
It was silent and the air felt different, she peeked up at Harry, “Y/N just got accepted to the medical program at Stanford, in just a couple of years she’ll be a doctor,” Harry says, wrapping his arm around his girlfriend.
“So I assume you’ll be working all the time to pay that off?” Anne asked, her eyebrow raised.
“Oh-well-I got a scholarship-and uh some-”
“It doesn’t matter,” Harry cut her off, “baby will you get me another beer? This one is warm.”
She nods, “would you guys like anything?”
She turns making her way to the kitchen. She grabs the beer, taking in a deep breath. When she composes herself she walks towards the door but stops, Harry stands on the other side, his back to her as he talks to his family.
“I just don’t get a good vibe from her Harry,” Gemma says softly.
“She just wants money,” Anne whispered, “how can you not see that?”
“No she doesn’t-”
“Harry if a guy paid my loans, bought me a house, a car, medical school, and clothes I would stay with him as well, she likes you for your money,” Gemma says, her hand resting on Harry’s arm, “her intentions aren’t good. I’m sure she got into Stanford because of you, she’s using the benefits.”
“You guys don’t know her,” Harry snapped.
And he was right, they didn’t know her. They didn’t know how she worked three jobs to save up to try and be the one to pay for their bill, they didn’t know how stressed Harry was every night you had a late shift. They didn’t know how much effort she put into school, into work, and then to come back home and help Harry cook. They didn’t know how Harry watched her fall asleep at the dinning table after she had worked, gone to school, worked another shift, and if she beat him home she would cook. They didn’t know how all of winter break she spent it working because she wanted to repay Harry for the loans and when she tried he refused.
“I have money, I have so much I don’t know what to do with it, I paid your loans Gem, I have everything I need, I hate watching her work all the fucking time to pay off something I could do in a second. I hate her working three different jobs so she can buy a damn dress to show up to one of my parities when I could buy it for her and she can spends that time with me rather than serving some strangers in a diner or working at a clothing store,” Harry stated, “I love her and that’s why I do it. She doesn’t ask me for these things, I do them because it makes her less stressed. I do it for her.”
“Y/N is using you,” Anne whispered, “and now she’s taken you away from your family. Harry honey, I’ve been your age, I’ve been in love and I was blinded by it. Please just take a minute and think about it, really think about it.”
“She’s a gold digger,” Gemma says.
And that’s when she’s break, the small sob that had been forming in her throat leaves her mouth, her hand reaching up to try and muffle it, but they all turn. She quickly turns, pushing through people and running up the stairs to their shared bedroom. She turns, locking the door behind her and pressing her back to it.
“Y/N,” Harry says softly, knocking on the door, “baby, please let me in.”
“I-I just need a minute,” she sniffled, “I-uh-I spilled something.”
“Y/N I know you heard,” Harry says, “please open up.”
She pulled open the door and Harry pushes it, forcing himself in. He frowns seeing her in the state, her eyes red, cheeks pink and puffy, tears are evident and she reaches up wiping them quickly.
“We should go back to the party, I’m a little hungry,” she whispered, pulling the end of her cardigan and wiping the under parts of her eyes, “if my makeup smudged?”
“Baby,” Harry says, reaching for her, “I’m sorry. They have no idea what they’re talking about.”
“Please don’t,” she pulls away, “I just need-Harry it’s your family. I can’t come in between that I just-I can’t.”
“They’ll come around,” Harry says, “I’ll talk to them. Don’t-I know what you’re trying to do.”
“I can still apply to live in campus and maybe this will give us space-”
“No!” Harry yelled, running a hand threw his hair, “please. Just-y/n baby, please don’t say that.”
“Just give it time, I can talk to them, they can see the real you, not the you the media portray’s,” Harry pleads.
He reaches out for her once more and she doesn’t pull back. His arms wrap around her and she rest her head on his chest, “I love you,” Harry whispered, “and that’s all that matters.”
“I love you too,” she whispers into his shirt, “so much.”
“I know,” he nods, running a hand through her hair, “I know baby.”
They stand there, enjoying their embrace. Until she pulls away, tugging at her dress, making sure she looks decent, “we should go back,” she says, “I should probably take out the dessert so people can start to wrap it up.”
“I’ll talk to them,” Harry promises, “I love you.”
“I love you more,” she giggled, as he wrapped his arms around her waist from behind her, “Harry we have to go back downstairs!”
He rocks her side to side, picking her up, she laughs, “Harry!”
“I just want you to go downstairs in a good mood,” he admits, setting her down, but keeping his grip on her, “why don’t you go help Niall huh?”
“Okay,” she nods.
They make their way downstairs and she walks towards Niall at the grill. Harry leans against the wall watching her, “Harry,” Gemma says, walking up to him, a beer in her hand, “can we talk about this.”
“If you and mum are staying here, in our house, you will follow or rules,” Harry snaps, turning to the two of them, “treat her the way you want to be treated. You want to be cold towards her? Fine, but that will only create distance between us.”
A/N: Hey guys, this is my first fic I’ve posted on here so I’m sorry if it sucks. Feedback is appreciated and as always, requests are open!
It was the first day of school again at Riverdale High. Students were bustling through the hallways eager to see their friends they lost touch with over the summer. You walked readjusting the strap to your bag on your shoulder, making sure your hair didn’t get caught. It was weird walking without him by your side, and you felt very lonely.
Your blank expression was soon replaced with a fake smile as Betty Cooper walked over to you with a girl you didn’t recognize.
“Hey y/n, I wanted to introduce you to our new classmate Veronica Lodge.” She said with a peppy smile. Veronica turned to you with an awkward smile, clearly seeing through your fake expression. “Hi, I’m y/n.” You introduced as you held out your hand. Veronica took it with a smile.
“So how’s your first day going?” You asked.
“Well, it’s not New York, but it’ll suffice.” She said with a soft smile. You nodded. “Hey y/n where’s Jughead, you guys are usually attached at the hip.” Betty said with a laugh. You immediately stiffened at the mention of him. “I don’t know, we haven’t talked in a couple weeks.” You said quietly as you looked down. “Well I gotta get to class, I’ll see you guys later.” You said with another fake smile plastered on your face before walking away.
You pulled your phone out to look at the time only to see that you had two minutes to get to class. “Crap.” You basically ran the rest of the way there and immediately plopped into the first seat available near the back of the class. The bell rang seconds after letting you know you made it on time.
“Good morning class, how was your summer break?” The teacher asked blandly as he situated himself in front of the white board to begin the boring lecture he had in store. You started to take notes on the topic, Intro to Advanced Literature when someone ran into the classroom, clearly late. You only looked up when you realized the person took a seat next to you, seeing as it was the only one left. It was Jughead.
You shifted uncomfortably in your seat as you tucked a strand of your h/c hair behind your ear.
He quickly pulled out his notebook and started to copy down notes trying to avoid the teacher’s stare. Eventually the teacher let it go with a warning. “You’ve never been one to be late.” You muttered quietly, loud enough for him to hear. “I was taking care of something.” He replied as he tried to catch up on all the note taking. You nodded slowly as you bit your lip nervously, your last memory with him making it’s way into your mind.
“Oh stop Jug.” You grinned as you pulled your arms closer to your body, trying to keep all the heat you could closer to your body. “But seriously, how much more do you think
Betty could pine over Archie? You have to admit, it’s kind of funny, she’d bend over backwards for him.” He laughed. You shivered as you chuckled.
Jughead noticed and quickly discarded his jacket, handing it over to you.
“No, I can’t. You’ll get cold.” You said pushing it back to him. “y/n, I would probably be the world’s suckiest best friend if I go on without letting you take my jacket. So go on take it, it would make me feel better.” He argued. You rolled your eyes as you ended up taking the jacket. You wrapped it tight around our body as you both continued your walk in the cold summer air.
“Hey, the lake is right over there, let’s go sit down.” You said as you speed walked over to a rockier area to get a good open view of the water.
You both sat next to eachother as you admired the water and the way the moonlight hit it. The soft ripples and the sound of rushing water gave you a sense of peace. You looked up at him with a smile, even sitting down he was a good foot taller than you. “What?” He laughed as he noticed you staring.
“I don’t know, I’m just… happy. I feel stress free and calm, collected for the first time in a while.” “Your welcome.” He grinned cheekily as you swatted his arm lightly.
“But really. This is gonna be my happy place, whenever something goes wrong, I’m gonna think of this. The water calming my every move. You sitting right beside me with that dorky smile of yours.” He looked at you as he clung to every word you were speaking.
You sighed contently as you turned to look at him again, realizing his eyes had never left you.
He stayed silent as his blue eyes flickered from yours to your lips. He slowly reached out a hand and pushed a stray piece of hair behind your ear, causing you to be even closer to him, and then his thumb traced your jaw line. He smiled softly and then suddenly, you felt a pair of lips on yours.
You couldn’t breathe, his soft lips moved against yours and you didn’t stop it. You reciprocated the action as your hand found its way into his dark messy hair.
A moment later as if being lifted out of a trance, he immediately pulled away and looked shocked. “I-I.. I gotta go. I’ll text you later or something.” He mumbled before standing up and walking away.
You blinked as you stared at where he once was. Did that just happen? Your fingertips lightly touched your lips as you felt the warmth that wasn’t there a moment ago.
You stood up, still slightly confused before starting your walk home, overthinking the event that had just occurred.
Once you made it into your house and up to your bedroom safely, you pulled out your phone and opened up your messages with Jughead.
“Hope you made it home ok, see you tmrw?”
You took off his jacket and threw it over your desk chair as you changed into an old t-shirt and a pair of old shorts for bed as you waited for him to respond.
That was his only response the entire night. “He did not just “K” me.“ You thought before climbing into your bed and letting your comforter consume you as you drifted off into an uneasy sleep.
The next morning you woke up and immediately checked your phone to see if there were any new messages from Jug, but there weren’t. You sighed heavily before getting up and pulling your hair into a quick messy bun and going downstairs to make a bowl of cereal.
"Hey dad.” You greeted as you saw him sitting at the table with a newspaper in front of him. “Where’s mom?” He looked up at you briefly before settling back on the paper. “I dunno, I think she’s out with her friends from the Gardening Club or whatever she’s into these days.” Your father grumbled. You nodded as you went to grab the milk for your cheerios before settling down across from your father at the table.
Halfway through eating, the doorbell rang and your father gave you a look that meant you had to answer it. You groaned softly before getting up and swiftly walking to open the door. When you did, Jughead stood there with a small smile on his face. “Hey.” He greeted quietly. “Hey Jug, what’s up?”
“I was wondering if you had a minute, I wanted to talk to you… about last night.” You nodded and shut the door behind you to give the two of you some privacy.
“Jug-.” “Ok look y/n, what happened last night shouldn’t have happened.” He stated bluntly. Your face fell for a second as you waited for him to continue. “It was one of those heat of the moment things, I mean I could never date you.” He said quickly. “The whole thing was just a really bad mistake and-.”
“Fine. If it was such a huge mistake then just leave. I get it, I’m sorry, I shouldn’t have kissed back.” You said as you started to retreat back to your house. “Wait y/n that’s not what I-.” “Please leave.” You interrupted again with a sad glare. “Hold on-.” “Leave.” You said in a firmer tone before going back into your house and locking the door.
“Everything alright dear?” Your father asked from the kitchen. “Yeah… everything’s fine.” Your voice cracked as you quickly went up to your room, your appetite spoiled.
The bell ringing woke you up from your daydream, and you were grateful that this particular class was over so that you could escape without making a scene. “Y/n wait.” You heard and recognized his voice. You tried to walk a bit faster, not wanting to talk to him. “Slow down. Please.” He said as he tried making his way through the other students crowding the hallway.
He was somehow able to get though and grabbed your arm.
You looked up at him in distress. “Let me go, you’ve already done enough.” You said as you tried pulling your arm back. He stood in front of you blocking your path, most of the students had cleared out by now. “Please just hear me out. I need you back.” He said.
You blew a stray hair away from your face as you looked up at him with narrowed eyes. You quickly looked at your phone to see that your next class didn’t start for another few minutes.
You sighed. “1 minute. That’s all I’m giving you.” He nodded.
“Ok look, I was a dick, and I know that. I just didn’t want to admit my-.” He’s stopped talking debating wether or not he should finish the sentence. “Admit your what?” You asked softly. He looked down at you and without a second thought his lips were on yours again.
You didn’t have much time to react, you stood frozen in shock for the first couple of seconds before melting into it. A few seconds later and his pink lips departed from yours as his hands found their way to rest on your hips. “My feelings for you.” He murmured as he looked into your e/c eyes.
Both of your hands found its way to both sides of his face before pulling him down to kiss you again.
“Oooooh. Get it Jug.” A voice called out, most likely Reggie. When you needed to breathe again, you let go of eachother, his lips were slightly swollen as were yours you were assuming. “I’m sorry y/n. I didn’t mean to hurt you.” He said as his hand interlocked with yours. You squeezed it, assuring him you had forgiven him.
He was still facing you as his face flushed red before speaking again. “Ok so I really suck at this, but, would you like to on a official date, Friday maybe?” He asked with hope clear in his eyes.
You grinned before getting on your tiptoes and kissing his cheek before walking away to your next class which you were almost late for. “I’m assuming that was a yes!?” He shouted after you. “We’ll see!” You shouted back with a wry grin before disappearing into the classroom as he smiled to himself and walked to his own.
1. if ancient swordsmen say that a blade is just an extension of your arm, then poetry and the arts are just an extension of your heart and soul put into verse and a painting.
2. rather than wait for someone to fall in love with you, fall in love with yourself. easier said than done, i know. but hear me out. don’t love the way your hair looks? get a new hairstyle. do you feel like a failure? then fail, fail, fail and fail some more. each time, there’s a chance that you’ll succeed. i think that’s worth every ounce of sweat. don’t love your body size? maybe you’re too thin because it’s depicted as beautiful by supermodels, eat some more. your brain needs nutrition. when you see yourself, you’re more than just your body. you are your thoughts. feed your brain and you’ll feel loads better. maybe you’re too large and depression has got you lethargic again. i once sat around in a house for a year straight. i did nothing except for writing sad, sad poetry. you wanna know something? once you get your head out of the past, once you realize that mistakes are there for you to change, once you’re aware that they’re really not coming back– it’s going to be much easier to move on. and yeah, it’s still going to hurt, but you must hurt your way forwards not backwards. have you been high lately? heavily sedated to numb the pain? drank a beer too much and now you’re regretting it? was the joint laced? are your lips poisoned from people you shouldn’t be kissing? that’s your second pack today, right? baby, bad habits will destroy you, but it’s also a part of the process. if you try, try and try again. one day, you’ll slip up and it’ll all make sense. it’s going to feel alright even if you’re a little sore. don’t wait for someone to love you, the best contender is already looking at you while you’re dreaming. when you’re awake and brushing your teeth. when you’re listening to your favorite song. when you’re singing in the shower. when you’re dancing with your shadow while the lonely moon is out. when you’re doing that extra rep while no one’s looking. when you’re running that extra mile just for shits and giggles. when you smile some day because the quote was right. time does heal all wounds.
3. if a rose has a natural defense mechanism, then you must guard yourself from your own negative frequencies. tune into who you want to be. we are what we feel. we are what we think. we are exactly as we want to be. want to be happy? repeat after me: i’ll try again tomorrow and if tomorrow doesn’t work, i’ll try the next day, next week, next month. one day, i’ll get it right. make a pinky promise to yourself. love yourself for your mistakes, love yourself for your flaws, love yourself for your changes, love yourself for your youth, and love yourself back into the universe. the stars are watching.
4. write love letters. lots of it. seal each one in an envelope and randomly date them for the future. when the day arrives. open it. a blast from the past, these little bits of love. it used to be you. revel into yourself. you’re cool. you’re angry. you’re kind. you’re sweet. you’re chill af. you’re hot. you’re gorgeous. you’re beautiful. you’re funny. you’re boring. you’re relaxed. you’re stressed. you’re ugly. you’re too thin. you’re too fat. there must be balance in life. for every bad thing in the letter, add two good things. for every good feeling, kiss yourself goodnight twice. no one’s going to love you like how you will. and if they somehow manage to pull it off, it’s still important to be nice to yourself. you’re human after all. unless you’re an alien, in which case, welcome to earth.
5. did you know that it takes 10,000 hours to master a skill? if you study and apply yourself for about 3.91389432 hours every day, within a year’s time– you’re going to be profound and breathtakingly amazing as fuck.
6. smile. always smile. fake it all the way through. cry. crying is good for you. laugh. loudly laugh at cheesy things because it’s the little details that count.
7. keep a journal and realize that these days– our consciousness being so closely tied to technology… we’re missing something. life’s too short and it’s not stopping for anyone. take a deep breath. inhale. exhale. write it down. you don’t have to be a writer to record your current emotions.
8. if you can’t seem to accomplish any of the above, just know this one thing. i love you. rinse and repeat. it’s a new day. it’s another night. you fall asleep. you wake up. how many days will you live in routine? take the scenic route home from work. running late? laugh about it. the art of letting go is hard to master, but once you’ve achieved even a split second of severing ties with misery. darling, you’ve made it.
9. i’m proud of you. i’m proud of you. i’m proud of you. i typed it three times so that you’d see it three times. if you’re a visual learner, 🌹, that emoji is you. it’s time to bloom. 🌊, this emoji is your soul. it’s time to crash. it’s time to be gentle to yourself. 🔥, this is that one time your friends got too drunk and forgot to put the fire out. embrace the burning sensation of your memories, even if it rattles your bones and intends to fuck up your day. you are loved in the most beautiful way. repeat after me: i am proud of myself for waking up everyday. you can do this. i know you can.
10. you’ve made it this far, why stop now?
11. you always knew that the rain is wet and fire is hot, so you must also know that if your heart is beating and you’re still as lost as ever that it won’t always be like this. you’ve come a long way, regardless if you see it or not. you’ve been through so much for yourself, with yourself, and by yourself. who’s going to love you if you don’t?
Request by @myteenwolf-world: Hi Rose :) I love your stories so much and I was wondering if you could write something where the reader is really shy and barely speaks to anyone? Jug is the only one she talks to and the rest of the group are surprised to see them having a conversation and being close. They question Jug about it and they find out he has a crush on her. Thank you in advance <3
A/N: I feel like this was kind of shaky since I haven’t written prompts in a while but I’m getting back in the swing of things! Hope you enjoy. <3
Being the new kid was never easy. Being the shy new kid was never easy. You were the perfect target for bullying from people like Reggie and Chuck who always catcalled you in the hallways and knocked your binders out of your arms. But you never said a word. You didn’t want to cause any trouble.
A few people noticed you. The “Sad Breakfast Club” saw you in the hallways. Sitting alone at lunch. Reading alone. Keeping to yourself. Day after day, almost every member of the group (with the exception being Jughead) attempted to talk to you. They tried to coerce you into at least sitting with them at lunchtime. Each time you quickly shook your head, eyes returning to your book.
Weeks passed and the group was still no closer to getting you to even speak a word.
“I just don’t understand!” Veronica exclaimed as she slammed her lunch tray down on the table. “We’ve tried everything. Does she just not like us?”
Betty shook her head.
“I don’t think that’s what it is, V,” the blonde said. “She’s just really shy. Sometimes you can try everything only to have nothing work.”
“She has a point,” Archie said as he took a bite of his apple. “Maybe we should just stop.”
As the group talked amongst themselves, Jughead watched you from a distance. Unlike the others, he had taken a personal interest in you. The raven-haired teen loved mysteries and you were one he wanted to crack.
Why did you move here? Why did you move here so late in the school year? Why were you so shy?
“I can try,” Jughead interrupted, silencing the entire group. “To talk to her, I mean.”
“Jug, I don’t know…” he began. “You tend to be… really upfront. What if you scare her away?”
“Wow, thanks, Arch,” he remarked sarcastically. “Like you guys haven’t terrified her enough.”
With that, he was off and making his way over to your table.
“This isn’t going to end well.” Betty said.
Veronica sighed as she opened her bag of chips.
“Guess we’ll find out.”
You heard someone making their way over to you before you saw them. You gripped your book tighter, forcing your eyesight to stay on the small words. You wondered who it would be this time. Would it be the jock or one of the two cheerleaders? It wasn’t that you didn’t like them either, it was just that you were literally terrified to talk to them. They seemed so cool and you didn’t understand why they wanted to talk to someone like you.
“Hey,” an unfamiliar voice said, breaking you out of your thoughts.
You looked up from your book, your eyes meeting blue-green ones. Your heart skipped a beat once you saw who it was. Jughead Jones. The boy in your English class who you had a massive crush on. But of course, you could never find the courage to talk to him. If you couldn’t even talk to Veronica Lodge or Betty Cooper, arguably the nicest girls in the school, how were you supposed to talk to the boy you liked?
“Can I sit here?” Jughead asked.
You returned your gaze to your book, not answering. Jughead took a seat anyway.
“What’s your name?” the beanie-clad teen pressed.
Again, you didn’t answer.
“Well,” he sighed. “My name’s Jughead. I’m in your—”
“English class,” you said softly before you froze.
Jughead seemed equally surprised that you spoke.
“Yeah, I, um,” you began again, clearing your throat. “I know who you are.”
“Is she… talking to him?” Veronica asked incredulously.
“Looks like she is. Who would’ve guessed?” the ginger asked.
“But why?” Betty asked.
Archie frowned at her question.
“Why is she talking to Jughead?” he tried to clarify.
Betty shook her head.
“No, why is Jughead talking to her? When has he ever showed an interest in the new kids? He never showed an interest in Veronica.” Veronica rolled her eyes.
“Thanks, Betty.” she joked.
“You know what I mean.” the Cooper girl said.
The three students returned their gazes to you and Jughead who were now talking and smiling amongst each other. At the moment, the bell rang signaling the end of the period. The gang saw you pack your stuff up as you and Jughead said your goodbyes. Jughead walked back over to the group with a smug smile on his face as you walked into the school.
“How?” Veronica asked once Jughead was close enough to hear her.
“Wouldn’t you like to know?” he asked as he picked up his book bag, swinging the strap over his shoulder.
“I don’t know, maybe it has something to do with the fact you have a crush on her? And, oh, I don’t know, maybe she likes you too and you guys are going out to Pop’s after school to get a milkshake together?” she joked, improvising everything as she went along.
Betty and Archie laughed but Veronica didn’t miss the way she saw Jughead tense up for a fraction of a second.
“Very funny, Veronica.” he deadpanned.
Veronica’s eyes widened.
“Oh my God,” she murmured. “You like her!”
Jughead turned beet-red as Betty and Archie turned to stare at him with wide eyes.
“And she likes you! And you asked her out!” Veronica continued.
“God, Veronica, scream it to the world, would you?!” Jughead hissed as the four of them walked into the school.
Veronica went silent but couldn’t stop her beaming smile or the way she was practically vibrating with excitement.
“Aw, Juggie, this is so cute!” Betty squealed.
“Not bad, Jug.” Archie said as he clapped the writer on the back.
Jughead’s red face didn’t go away.
“Yeah, okay, whatever,” he mumbled. “I’ll see you guys later.”
With that he was gone, escaping to his next class.
“Our Juggie’s growing up.” Veronica said, wiping a fake tear from her eye.
“You’re so lucky he wasn’t around to hear that.”
