Idk the name for it but you know that trope where the whole team or whatever are dressed up in fancy formal wear when Something Bad Happens and the episode (or equivalent) is spent with them all doing stuff in their fancy clothes!! Or like slowly getting more dishevelled but still kinda fancy!!! I LOVE THAT TROPE

I don’t know their ship name either but I know they’re a cute couple

-Both truly touched staved 24/7 for really no reason

-Bet your ass that they’ll skip fancy dinners and stuff just to cuddle each other

-Theo is really into baking and Pip loves coming home to freashed baked anything

-Have matching phone cases

-Totally that couple to wonder off when they’re supposed to do something important

-They both really like music artist like Panic! at The Disco, Dodie, Hasley, The Weekend, and artist like so.

-Theo reads non-stop and she’ll sit in Pip’s lap while he’s play a video game or reading along with her

-Their bedroom is just full of books that both of them have read and neither of them are complaining about it

-They trust Laf a lot, Laf is kind of like another father figure for the two

-Neither of them can cook all too well, which usually leads to ordering take-out or pizza

-Theo walks around in knee-highs and one of Pip’s sweaters, it’s the most adorable thing you’ve ever seen in your damn life

-Pip shows all the writings he’s done to Theo to see if they’re good or not. If not he’ll try to change it

-Both of them were in band in High school and that’s part of the reason they meet

I’m sorry but this is all I can think of at the moment on these two. I hope you enjoy!

somethin’ like heaven, I guess

matching shirts/i really like the geekxjock aesthetic

i just wanted to go nuts with exaggerating the difference between their body types, but without thinking too hard about what to actually draw :’))) which was just outfits really

maybe this is like a high school AU. virgil is the super popular jock that everybody fancies, but for some reason he’s sweet on that one mathlete with the blue glasses?

Bonus Request #7

Remember Love - Requested by itsdestiny

I see this as wedding inspiration so I used soft watercolours (I’m slowly getting better with the flowers) for the illustrations and black brush pen for the lettering. Ideally I’d use a lovely rose gold or metallic midnight blue ink for the lettering.

Oh, to that person who asked about my palette, look!!! I got a new one!!! I actually got TWO new palettes, the other one has squares and circles. Very fancy stuff.

sugardaddy!jimin where y/n shows him the other side of life, away from all the riches and fancy stuff. y/n takes jimin on a cafe somewhere outside the city to unwind after a day of countless business meetings. the cafe is small, traditional and cozy. the woman who owns the cafe says something between the lines of "nice to see a young couple in love" and jimin's reply makes y/n blush/happy/giddy -enthusiastic anon

in this whole sugar daddy relationship with jimin, it’s safe to say that you regard him close enough to be your friend. it didn’t always revolve around the sexual needs and even with jimin in the room sometimes, it calms you down. so when jimin’s dropping by all stressed, unable to speak and choked up with his words like he’s been stabbed multiple times today, you decide it’s time for you to return back for all those gifts you tried saying no to, times when you needed someone to hold you and jimin offered you not only his arms but his everything and those moments that he’d purposely come by to fetch you instead of you needing to take the bus.

jimin was hesitant at first because are you sure you can drive, y/n? but when you’re telling him to put a sock in it and that you’re not driving, he’s curious to what you have in mind. he follows you to the bus, helplessly under your spell as you take a seat beside him and he doesn’t let go of your hand. rather, you don’t let it go and rest your interlocked hands on your lap. the ride there was pleasant and as the night starts to darken and the stars are twinkling, the bus comes to a stop and you’re getting off with jimin.

there’s a cafe you always head down to. it’s your go-to-spot to unwind and you figured, it couldn’t hurt bringing jimin along.

and boy, you were right.

you feel jimin’s hand loosening the moment he steps into the cozy atmosphere. warm and this lightweight ambience that takes a toll on jimin. it soothes his muscles, the jazzy music like a soft melody to coax him to relax, your voice accompanying the beautiful symphony and the smooth of your voice matching with the metronome of jimin’s heartbeat, he smiles.

he waits patiently by the side when you force him to find a spot to sit in the (almost) empty place. you return shortly after with a small grin and two cups of hot chocolate that jimin thanks you for when you place the red cup in front of him, you taking the white one instead. as you take a sip, jimin only watches you with soft eyes, witnessing how the sugar takes effect on you to rise your shoulders up with a tiny squeal of excitement because you’re a sweet tooth.

when your place the cup down, and blink up to him, he chuckles and reaches forward with his thumb, his voice quiet as he murmurs, “you have a little…” he brushes his thumb at the corner of your lips, making them curl up into a smile as you - “thank you,”

jimin intends to reply your thanks but when a voice by the counter stops him, he only rephrases his words in the process.

“ah, what a lovely couple,”

jimin folds his arms on the table, turning to smile politely at the lady he assumes is the owner, “only because i’m with a lovely lady.”

Okay, here’s the thing. Sometimes you come across writers who rely heavily on literary elements in an attempt to add another layer to their work. Sometimes you can look at things like motifs and symbolism and get a deeper understanding of what the author is trying to convey, but sometimes, you can also miss the obvious while trying to analyze minute details. And here’s the kicker, unless the author explicitly tells you what is right or wrong, you have absolutely no idea what is and isn’t important.

I recently had the opportunity to meet a successful published author. During the Q&A, she was asked repeatedly to explain certain motifs throughout her text - like her constant mention of cats - and if there was a reason as to why she often relied on similes. The author simply laughed and said “I guess I have a thing for cats.” There was no deeper meaning, despite the fact that most of her audience members were absolutely convinced that this was a relevant motif, and not an accident.

When analyzing text and movies at the university level, the books and films we analyzed were often very artsy and out there, because those are generally the books and movies that rely heavily on literary/film elements. We then used some of these artsy films - like a version of Macbeth that took place in Feudal Japan and we analyzed things like the fact that Macbeth didn’t blink throughout the entire film - and compared them to popular grossing movies, like Iron Man that usually had a very cleat cut style with little to analyze. While artsy films like Romeo + Juliet relied on camera cuts, imagery and close-ups, films like Iron Man made a point to draw as little attention as possible to scene changes, because they wanted viewers to become immersed in the film, and because they were targeting a different type of audience. Blockbuster movies are usually pretty clear cut with their editing and aren’t very fancy. (and yes, I’m aware that Romeo + Juliet is a popular film, but it was extremely artsy and out there)

BMW, imo, was a very simple and straightforward show, and so is GMW. There are definite motifs, parallels and things to analyze, but imo, I feel like people take things too far. Minute details are meant to compliment the main plot, not contradict it and I feel like some people focus too much on details and forget the story that is being told.

And there’s nothing wrong with analyzing things, but let’s not act like people are stupid for not seeing minute detail as glaringly obvious and relevant, because there’s always a strong chance that what people are seeing is an irrelevant fluke.

  • me: *buys more fancy pens and markers and other fancy art stuff*
  • me: *sits there not using them just staring at them thinking how beautiful they are in so many ways*

While busy daddy and the boy spent the afternoon going to all of the water rides at Islands of Adventure, my baby girl and I spent the afternoon didding each other’s hurrs and trying on fancy dresses and stuff.

After much deliberation, my baby girl settled on a fuchsia headband by Richard Simmons for QVC and a blue and white frock from Baby Gap’s 2015 Spring/Summer Collection, while I settled on a gray polo shirt by Gant and faded red Bermuda shorts by L.L. Bean.

I guess we’re ready for a night on the town?
