Zach asking you to sleep over at his house - part 3

Warnings: graphic descriptions and images of sex/sexual activities. You’ve been warned my lovelies:) Enjoy!

Your P.O.V
The morning sunlight peeked through the curtains, basking the room with its warmth. I was tightly cocooned in a strong pair of arms, my back pressed against a muscular chest. There were soft snores echoing in my ear. I turned my head slightly, to see who the culprit of this snoring was, finding the peaceful face of my sleeping boyfriend, Zach Dempsey.

The Devil’s in the Details

I’ve been watching so much Ladybug that Netflix decided to give us a recommendation.  One of those “this has a 5% chance of being like the show you were watching” deals.  I don’t really watch anime, but Dave keeps trying to get me into it.

It’s called Hataraku Maō-sama! (The Devil Is a Part-Timer!) and is exactly as it sounds.  The leader of the demons gets turned into a teenager and works at a rip-off of McDonald’s.  There was a manga series in 2011 and it was made into a 13-episode anime series in 2013.

Not only is it funny as crap, I think Netflix is onto something with that Ladybug reference.

Adrien, you ridiculous dork.  Stop getting your social cues from anime.

Bonus:

Edit:

Two normal teenagers who use their time-sensitive powers to fight evil together, all the while snarking at the other person…and the girl keeps denying feelings she has towards him.  Yeah.  I see Netflix’s point.

So, this is a thing I’ve been bringing up since Season 1, but I keep seeing more and more evidence of it, so it’s time to do a real analysis post.

Basically, the point I want to make is that Sangwoo has two conflicting urges regarding his relationship with Bum. Part of him, the more rational, restrained part, wants to treat Bum as though they are in a normal relationship, and possibly wants to treat him as an equal. The more emotional and habitual part (really, the honest part) wants to treat Bum as a slave. You see him waver back and forth between these two attitudes depending on his mood.

I should reiterate, I DO think Sangwoo is in love with Bum. Not just love, but “teenage boy with his first crush” type love. “Swoony, unrealistic expectations” type love. I see evidence that Sangwoo thinks he and Bum can “fix” each others’ illnesses. Certainly, he seems to think he can fix Bum.

So @packratofdenialism gave me this idea for a fanfic where Meredith lives and she and Yondu coparent Peter. This happens in my head because Yondu got suspicious when Ego told him to pick another kid up “in about a year” and investigated and decided to help Meredith out as a way of dealing with the guilt he feels since he’s come to the conclusion Ego’s done something awful to the other kids he’s brought him. Here’s a scene from before Yondu and Meredith go to the Collector for a potential fix as their last idea. They’re waiting in a bar for the Collector to send for them, and Meredith ends up making Yondu come clean as to what he thinks is really going on (he initially lied to get her and Peter to come with him by pretending Ego sent him).

—-

“If this doesn’t work though…you’ll still take Peter to his father, right?” Meredith asked.

Yondu went still.

“Yondu?” she asked. “You’ll promise me, won’t you? That you’ll take him home?”

“…Can’t promise you that, Meredith,” he said quietly.

“What?” she asked.

“I can’t,” he said stiffly. “Can’t promise you…because I won’t do it.”

“Why the hell not?” she demanded, leaping to her feet. Her world spun instantly and Yondu grabbed her before she hit the floor. “I thought you wanted to help us!”

“I am helping you!” Yondu said. “And I won’t be helping him if I take him there!”

“Why?” she yelled.

“Cause none of the others ever came back!” he snapped.

“…Others?” she asked as Yondu slowly sat her back down on the stool. “What others?”

“His other kids,” Yondu said. “I…I took Ego his other kids. No one ever saw them again.”

“He….had other kids…” Meredith said. She felt very cold all of the sudden as things started make some sort of terrible sense. Why Yondu was so cagey about why “Ego sent him” to pick her up and try to find her help. Why the Ravagers crew clearly hadn’t had a clue of where to start looking for how to deal with a tumor. The oddness of the tumor being so hard to operate on even for more advanced species…

“Yeah. I didn’t tell you cause you wouldn’t have let me help,” Yondu said. “But…you’re not special, Meredith. He’s done this before. It’s not that he couldn’t bear to watch you die. It’s that he told me to wait until you did die to get your boy and bring him to Ego.”

Meredith took a deep breath as she tried to understand what the hell she was being told. She’d known something was up with Yondu’s original story for a while now, but for it to be that…

“That’s what all the whispering was, then?” she asked. “All those times you stopped talking when Peter or I came over?”

“Some of the crew figured you weren’t really cargo. ‘S why I made you quartermaster. Shut up the whiners if you were puling your weight,” he said.

“And what happened if I was cured and demanded to go see Ego?” she asked.

“…Honestly I was going to let Horuz handle it. He likes being an ass so he could have broke it hard and not minded the fallout,” Yondu said. “I’ll admit, was not looking forward to Peter crying. Makes a chest twist up when he starts whimpering like that…”

“You think the tumor’s weird.”

She wasn’t entirely sure why she said it, why she remembered him saying that.

Yondu nodded slowly, “Yeah. We’ve been told that. Remember, you thought it was just, uh, intimate exposure to…”

“No. No you think…you think more,” she said. “You don’t think it was an accident, do you?”

Yondu cringed a bit under her gaze. She was right. He’d put a lot more thought into this than just a favor to a dying woman. He’d thought of the why as more than some accident. He just hadn’t said anything.

“…You think he did it on purpose,” Meredith said slowly.

“I don’t know what-”

“I didn’t say you knew, I said it’s what you think,” Meredith corrected, cutting Yondu off. “That’s what you think happened.”

Yondu sighed, “I know he knew about it. And I know he told me to get ready to pick Peter up when you died, which he had a pretty good timescale for, despite never seeing the boy alive meaning he’d bene gone for over six years. And I know every kid I ever brought him was never seen again and he didn’t seem to give a damn about any of their other parents.”

Meredith let that digest. It made terrible sense. Ma had been right all along. Just a fling for a guy using her who left her with a kid.

Oh god what was that thing he’d planted on earth? She’d have to send a call home over it, tell them to get…oh who did you even call to deal with that shit?

“How many did you bring him?” Meredith asked, trying to focus on the issue at hand, on verifying what Yond was saying now when he’d lied at the start.

“’Bout a dozen,” Yondu said, staring at the bar top. “Wasn’t counting really; I was greedy and I admit it. They were his kids, he said pickup for pay so I picked up. Don’t know if he had anyone else doing it. Probably did. If I got suspicious enough to stop others probably did too and I was just the next he asked. Guy’s been around a long time.”

“And you never heard from them again?”

“Not even the ones I suggested should call if they needed anything,” Yondu said. “Last one…last one I was going to turn down. She was young. Younger than Quill.”

Meredith bristled at that. “Chronologically or developmentally?”

“Both,” Yondu said. “But the crew needed money and Ego could make gems so I caved. Not proud of it. Gave the kid a com, told her to call me if she got scared, or in a year if it went well. An anniversary call. Said I’d give a present if she did.”

“She never called.”

“Nope. Would have been three days before he called me about you,” Yondu said. “I don’t know what he’s doing to his kids, Meredith, but it ain’t good. I have my way? I never take that boy of yours near Ego.”

“So you know he’s collecting his children who are never heard from again…and you think he was going to kill me…why?” Meredith asked. “Why not just have you take Peter?”

“Maybe he figured, boy has your genes, he’ll make his way back to you before I get him to Ego,” Yondu said. “But he won’t do that if you’re not there.”

“Jackass,” Meredith muttered. “…Him, not you.”

“Nah, I’m a jackass. Took all those others to him, didn’t I?” Yondu asked.

“Wish you hadn’t?” Meredith asked.

Yondu “mm’d” in a manner she took to mean agreement.

“That’s why you helped, isn’t it?” she asked. “You felt guilty.”

“S’ not really guilt in your case,” Yondu said. “Didn’t have a thing to do with you or your boy.”

“But you had ‘a thing to do with’ around a dozen of Peter’s…siblings,” Meredith said. “With Ego’s other children. You wanted to keep Peter safe, didn’t you?”

Yondu huffed, “Maybe I just wanted to piss the jackass off by keeping Peter from him.”

“You didn’t need me alive for that,” Meredith said.

“…Was lousy. What he was trying to pull with you,” Yondu said. “Was crap.”

“Think he did that to any of the other…parents?” Meredith asked.

“Don’t know. He didn’t give me timescales for them,” Yondu said. “Just said to pick up one of his kids. Just did it. Never asked. I was a fool who never asked.”

“Yeah, well,” Meredith sighed. “I was a fool who fell for a spaceman. So we’re both fools.”

Dive

Title: Dive

Pairing: Female reader x Dean

Theme song: Dive by Ed Sheeran

Summary: Dean’s catching feelings for the reader and needs to be convinced to dive in

A/N: This song just has such quiet bar vibes.

Word count: 2,000ish

Your name: submit What is this?

The old bartender working the quiet Tuesday afternoon shift had poured Dean another glass of whiskey before he’d even opened his mouth to ask for it. Dean looked up from his hands long enough to give a nod of thanks before pulling the new glass to his lips and taking a sip.

The bartender returned the bottle to its shelf and smiled behind his wiry beard.

“Thought you could use another,” he said, “You’ve got that look.”

“You’re not wrong,” Dean said.  The man waited; Dean said nothing.

“So what is it?” he pressed. “Love? Money?”

“Those the usual culprits?” Dean asked. The bartender kept his smile, waiting. Dean looked down at his glass again and turned it slow in his hands. Pushing away from the counter, the old man grabbed a mostly dirty rag and started away, taking the hint and his leave.

“You let me know if you need another,” he said over his shoulder.

It was the first time he had seen somebody like you. Somebody who he instantly disliked, somebody he knew he would never get along with. It was like no matter how many people told him that you were a good person he didn’t care. Min Yoongi hated you, and nothing would change that.

Which was why it was such a shock to him when one day he walked into the coffee shop, and saw you sitting there alone. There was something about the way you sat, and stared at the world around you that made everything he thought he knew change.

Suddenly, the hatred he felt towards you changed. It was like something within him decided to let go and he couldn’t place what it was. His eyes went wide and before he could stop himself he was running out of the coffee shop.

There was silence around him now as he sat in the empty recording studio. He had run right here after seeing you, and now he was staring at the wall, thinking over everything that he had made himself believe. He thought back to everything he had known about you, realizing that none of it was true.

He thought you were annoying, he thought you weren’t pretty, he thought you were clingy, he thought you were loud. Looking back at all of the times he had told you to shut up, or all the times he had said something rude and mean to you made his stomach churn now.

It made him want to throw up, looking back at the way tears had come into your eyes, how he would make you run away from him and the other guys because of how mean he was. He remembered the one time, the time that was different then all of the others, and he felt so stupid.

A chance to say goodbye - Bruce Wayne x Reader

Summary : You’re a meta-human able to see ghosts, summon them etc etc…and you decide to give your Bruce a birthday gift he’ll never forget.

I had this story in my head for quite a while now, not sure how to feel about it though. I don’t know, you guys know me, I’m like : “meh” as usual…Anyway, don’t hesitate to tell me what you think please, wether you liked or not :-) …Hope you’ll like it though  :

(My master list, by the way : Right here )

_______________________________________________________________________

When Bruce was looking all around the World for meta-human, he found you in a small village in France’s country side, and…you intrigued him right away.

You were sitting on a bench in a small cemetery, lost in daydreams.

He felt irreversibly attracted to you. The way you seemed lost in your thoughts, the glint in your eyes as you looked at nothing in particular, your poise, even the way you breathed subjugated him, for reasons he couldn’t quite pinpoint…When you turned your head to him, feeling his presence, and your eyes locked on each other, the beating of his heart became ecstatic, uncontrollable…He had to talk to you.

Against all of his usual instinct, he approached you and sat down next to you. And the conversation just flew naturally. It was something he never experienced before. You were a total stranger, and yet, he felt like he knew you since forever.

(Y/N). That was your name. It rolled on his tongue delightfully. In the span of a few hours, you just talked about anything and everything. It was just too amazing, and for a minute, he thought maybe you were a meta-human whose powers was to control one’s emotions, because he never talked like that to anyone, including his close friends, so to a total stranger…

Turned out, your powers weren’t to control someone’s feelings, not at all. Your powers were…scarier, and you hated using them. You had a special bond with Death…You could summon zombie warriors from the ground and control them, you were able to see if someone’s life was going to end soon, and was plagued by visions of ghosts of people that still had important business to finish on Earth. You hated your powers.

Its inevitable, high school is gonna end, we are gonna move to different towns. We aren’t going to see these people everyday anymore, we have six months left together. Six more months of lunches 5 days a week at the same table in the same room in the same school. About 150, give or take a few, days until we graduate and leave this school forever. 4 years of our lives is done. And some people might think that this is a dark depressing thought, that in six months we will leave our best friends behind and move on to another part of our life story. But I think there is a difference between me and someone who thinks this is dark and depressing. You, who thinks this is a dark thought who doesn’t want to hear it, you are probably scared, terrified for the inevitable future that awaits you. And thats perfectly fine, be scared to leave your best friends, that fear is going to drive you to make the most out of these last six months together. Its going to make you want to go out and go to games, dress crazily for spirit weeks, not give a crap about what other people in the school think because you are enjoying yourself for the last time with these people. The difference is I am okay with me and my friends splitting up. I have seven best friends and we hang out all the time. I know that these people are going to be the ones I can count on, these people are going to be with me for the rest of my life, most likely the ones I want to have in my wedding. There is going to be distance put in between us and it will be hard to talk. Seven different people, seven different schedules, seven different towns, finding the time for everyone to talk will be so hard but I’m not worried. These are the people that I know I can count on, that will call me out when I’m lying and will help me through a bad day. I know that we might be able to talk everyday, and I think I’m okay with that because I know that these are the types of people that I don’t need to talk to everyday because  I know that they will always be there for me. That doesn’t mean I’m not going to try to talk to them, believe me I am, but it means that I will be okay if there comes a point where everyone is too busy to talk everyday. Now with all this being said, and how I am not scared, that doesn’t mean I won’t take advantage of these six months, I will. I will enjoy every moment that we spend together, every lunch, every dinner at my house, every song played on my guitar in my room, every old movie watched together, every car ride blasting music. I’m going to love every minute of it, but I know that I will be okay when it comes to the point where all of that is just a memory. I will be okay when we all  leave, yes I will be heartbroken but I know that we will always find our ways back to each other.
I think more seniors need to understand this. People think when high school is over they end a book, they think of there life as a book series, but its not, its one long novel. High school is just a chapter in it, and just because the chapter is over doesn’t mean the main characters cease to exist. Yes new characters come into the story, but the main ones will always be there, maybe not like they were before, and maybe not in the next chapter, but they will come back into the story. It might be years down the line, but the people who are supposed to be in your life, have a way of coming back. These are your best friends, the people you meet in high school and if your lucky they will be there for the rest of your life.

Would you believe me, if I said I went To the same church as Justin Bieber? I doubt it. People never did. But then again, who would?

But I do. And I have for a while now.

It’s not like we’ve talked or anything. In fact, I don’t think Justin even knows my name, but I still see him every week. So much that seeing him around isn’t even a shock anymore.

To me, he’s now just a normal person, attending church on a Sunday - who goes upon there normal day just like any one else would.

The church I attended was a private one. Very closed off and self kept. It was no wonder Justin came along.

At first, he would come along with his family. Sometimes alone. Basically just came to say grace, attend mass then leave. And it was like that for around a year, before I noticed someone else.

A girl who’s name I learnt to be Y/N. She was sweet from what I had seen. A religious girl who had good intentions. It surprised me to see her considering we usually don’t get a lot of new faces here.

She was friendly to everyone - including Justin. They looked like a couple of old friends who had grown up together and I actually think that’s what they were.

From what I had heard from my mother they have been best friends since as long as they could remember. And apparently Y/N’s normal Church closed down, so Justin invited her to join him at ours until she found a new parish.

But What was supposed to be a one time thing turned into a series of repetitive events, and after a month, she was considered a member of the church.

I honestly didn’t mind. It wasn’t like she was bothering me or anything and she was rather friendly. I liked her.

Months had passed and everyone in the church had begun to see a change in attitude around the two. It was as if they both a had a secret they were too afraid to tell each other but otherwise tried to act as if it wasn’t there.

But everyone else in the church had noticed. I remember my mother talking to Mrs smith one weekend after church about the two - they were saying how they ‘had seen this coming since the day Justin brought her to the church.’ Whatever that meant.

What did they see coming?

It wasn’t until weeks later I realised what they were talking about. One week at mass I watched them intensely, there was something about them that was just so interesting.

I may have been sitting a few seats behind them, but it was impossible to miss the way they were looking at each other when the other wasn’t. The love in there eyes.

That’s when I knew that they both had feelings for each other, they were just too afraid to admit it.

Time went by and nothing had changed. The problem about our church though is the church mothers love to gossip, and the kids love there media.

Apparently, some of the teen girls had seen on tmz some rumours that the two were dating, and they must have passed that message to there parents because it wasn’t long before the whole church was talking about it.

I didn’t believe it. I never believed anything the church mothers talked about. They’re always full of crap. But it came as a surprise the next Sunday when justin and Y/N walked in, smiling at each other with so much love, hand in hand.

Honestly, I was glad. It was about time. If I’m being honest, I think they looked cute together.

They were touchy throughout mass. Rubbing each other backs, winding their fingers through each other’s and even giving each other short, small pecks throughout.

It was honestly adorable.

And of course the church talked. No one in this place can keep there mouths shut but I didn’t mind talking about them. They were fascinating to me. And no one was saying anything bad.

A couple months had gone by and nothing had changed. They still had the same amount of love and passion in there eyes for each other. Sometimes they would show up looking a little pissed and avoided each other, but the next week they’d come back as if nothing had happened.

Just like a normal couple.

Justin continued making music and I even heard that Y/N got into modelling. Good for her, she had the body for it.

But that got the church talking once again. I think the girls were jealous honestly since from then on out people began throwing crap Y/N’s way. But after a while it passed.

Years had gone by and i think they were around 23 now. I know because Justin was exactly 6 years older then me. And I had just turned 17.

They still attended church, still sat in the same seats and shared the same love but one thing was different. Not only did they seem a lot more happy, but something in particular seemed to stand out.

Of course, this had the Parrish gossiping like crazy. Especially once they caught the size of the 27 carat diamond engagement ring wrapped around Y/N’s slender finger.

From that day on, the church began looking at her differently which was really uncalled for and rude. She had done nothing wrong and minded her own business - not disturbing anyone. But the Parrish saw her as spoiled and a gold digger.

Which didn’t make sense. It wasn’t like she askedfor the ring. It was Justin’s idea to propose. And they were a beautiful couple. Not just by looks but by personality as well.

Yet the couple went unphased. And a couple months later they both sported another ring each. Both just a simple wedding band.

Of course I didn’t attend the wedding personally but I heard they got married in the Parrish church. And the photos that flooded the internet only proved that theory.

Everything about the two was perfect. And they continued to attend mass together like a normal couple would.

All until a few weeks later. When Y/N walked in looking tired and saddened. Alone.

No Justin. And it was like that for a little while. She was alone.

I couldn’t believe it and apparently neither could the Parrish. They talked like crazy, some saying that they saw it coming and knew they wouldn’t last but others in as much shock as I was.

I couldn’t believe that they had broke up. They were so happy. I just couldnt figure out what went wrong.

But if you think that was a surprise, then you had to see how much more surprised we were to realise a couple months later, that Y/N’s stomach had grown.

No not fat. But Baby weight.

She was pregnant.

I couldn’t believe it. I felt so sympathetic for Justin. And the church couldn’t either. The news and rumours spread so fast after that and I even remember the day I heard it.

It was from Mrs Banks, the young housewife with the twin girls. Her daughters where bitches.but I remember my mother talking to her, and the way the news slipped Mrs banks lips, as if she was talking about a convict in prison. So much disgust.

‘She cheated on him.’

She said.

'she got pregnant with the other mans baby and poor Justin couldn’t take the heartbreak - left the sorry women just like she deserved.’

I was dumbfounded. I couldn’t believe such a sweet women could do such a terrible thing. Or maybe she wasn’t as sweet as i thought.

I avoided her for a long while after that. She tried being friendly, tried to say hello or throw a smile at me but I kept my distance. I was surprised father Gabriel hadn’t kicked her out.

A few more weeks went by, her stomach grew and so did the gossip and rumours. But suddenly, a month or two later, something happened. Something so small, yet it caused the whole church to shut there mouths.

Justin showed up one day. Not alone. Not with family. But with Y/N. Smiling.

He was walking behind her, with one hand on her swelling stomach and the other clutching her hand which also rest on her stomach. He guided her down the isle and into there usual seats, cuddling next to her.

Like nothing had happened.

Every pair of eyes where on them. Even father Gabriel’s.

Everyone was confused. Why had Justin gotten back with her? After what she did. I would never have forgiven her.

But it wasn’t long for word to get around. The truth. A girl who was a fan of Justin had actually asked him.

I don’t know how. I would have been so embarrassed. Thats such an invasion of privacy, yet she did it and I’m honestly glad she did.

Y/N never cheated. And the baby was Justin’s! The reason she showed up alone was because Justin had been on tour and everyone had overreacted.

I told you the woman were full of crap.

Anyways, months passed and Y/N’s stomach continued to grow. Swelling with life and beauty. Justin and herself looked so happy. And every time they walked in, I couldn’t help but notice how Justin clutched her stomach. It was so beautiful.

Everything was normal until one day, they both just stopped showing up.

It disappointed me. I really enjoyed watching the two from a distance, examining there lives. I wondered where they went. And hoped they would come back to the Parrish.

But they didn’t. Not the next week, or the week after that. Not even the week after that. They were both MIA.

I was convinced they had found a new Parrish. One with less crap and gossip. I wouldn’t blame them.

But that wasn’t the case, and we all found that out when they finally one Sunday, showed up again. This time, Y/N was not pregnant.

And Justin seemed a lot happier. So did Y/N but she also seemed tired. Not sad though. It was like a happy tired.

It was pretty obvious what had happened but I was still shocked when Justin’s body came into full view.

In his hands, he held a beautiful baby girl, dressed in a pink dress with a white flower band on her hair.

The girl was stunning. She had a full head of hair which was obviously inherited from her mothers thick dark brown hair, but was a dirty blonde like her father. Long thick eyelashes supported her eyes and a cute button nose sat on her face.

She was really small. But I think she was actually premature by a couple of weeks. So it made sense that the two weren’t at church for the last few weeks. They were busy looking after there new born baby girl.

And although Y/N brought a pram along with her, Justin didn’t put his little girl down. It was obvious he was proud of his little beauty. I would be too. She was really cute.

And well behaved. I hadn’t heard her cry all mass. There was a few times when the baby girl would stir, become a little restless but all Justin would need to do was say “shh it’s alright” and she would settle.

It truly was adorable.

And it wasn’t until Justin wrapped his arm around his wife, as Y/N placed a hand on her daughters leg and another around Justin’s torso that I truly realised.

This family was unbreakable.

As soon as Stefan walks away, you shake your head and pour yourself a glass of bourbon. You swirl the glass around, staring at it until you hear Elena and Caroline’s voices. You turn to face them, raising a glass as Caroline places her hands on her hips.

“Y/N! The clipboard,” she huffs, walking over to you with said clipboard in hand. “I’ve made hotel arrangements, I just need you to pick who you’ll be sharing a room with.”

“Let me guess, you’ve made me a list of all possible roommates, huh?” You grab the clipboard and Caroline nods, smiling.

“Ah, good,” you hear a deep British voice and look up to see Enzo walking over to you two. “Now that you’re here, Y/N, my girlfriend and I can spend sometime alone.”

“Hey to you too, ass,” you narrow your eyes at him as he smiles and wraps his arms tightly around you.

“You know I’m happy you’re here. And not just because Caroline can take a break now,” he pulls away and winks at you, intertwining his fingers with Care’s.

“Yeah, yeah. You two deserve some alone time. Caroline, go. I’ll figure things out here, I promise. Besides, I’m sure you’ve sent me at least a dozen emails containing proper instructions.” To prove your point and insure that Caroline doesn’t protest, you pull out your phone and show Caroline all 15 emails that you’d received in regards to the wedding.

“Thank you, Y/N,” Caroline sighs, shaking her head and smiling at you and Enzo. “I know you just got here, and I’m sorry. Thank you for doing this. I owe you!”

“Just remind me not to hire you as my wedding planner if the time ever rolls around,” you chuckle and push Caroline and Enzo away from the bar.

“I will be your wedding planner and you will get married and–oof okay fine we’re leaving!” She pulled Enzo into a bedroom and you smile, looking at the clipboard.

“Y/N!” Of course before you can get any work done, you’re already smothered in a hug by the one and only Damon Salvatore.

“Damon!” You try to move your arms so he could hug you, but he’s got a bone-crushing grip on you. “Please I am human do not break me.”

“Oh, crap! Sorry!” He quickly lets you go and you take a deep breath, pressing your hands against your ribs. “I’m just excited to see you! Are you okay?”

“Yeah, yeah. I’m okay, don’t worry,” you groan and stretch, cracking your neck as Damon gives you a wierd look. “Stop that, my neck was in a wierd position for like three hours! Airplane seats aren’t as comfy as you think.”

“How’s Massachusetts treating you?” You two start walking back to the bar and Damon wraps an arm around your shoulder.

“Undergrad was fun, more than one would think. Law School wasn’t bad either, to be honest. I finished the program a few months ago. How’ve things been here?” You grab your bourbon as Damon reaches around the bar to pour himself a glass.

“It’s been wierd. I’ve been alive for over a century, but I finally feel at home here and now,” he looks towards the living room and you follow his gaze: all your friends laughing and teasing one another while planning on of your weddings.

“I’ve missed this,” you whisper, eyes resting on Stefan’s figure for a second longer than necessary all the while hoping that Damon wouldn’t notice.

“What was that?” Damon, of course noticed.

“That was nostalgia, Damon. Hopefully the last of it,” you down your bourbon and look at the clipboard in your hand. “I’ve got a wedding to plan, so please–”

“Y/N!!!” You hear a pair of voices call out your name, music to your ears.

“Matt, Beks!!!!” You hold your arms out for your favorite couple, missing them more than you’d care to admit.

“We’ve missed you so much,” Matt, of course, wraps his arms around you first, squeezing you and kissing your head.

“We really have, things haven’t been the same,” Rebekah places her head against your chest as you wrap your arms around her shoulders.

“Aw I’ve missed you too, babies,” you kiss Rebekah’s head and Matt smiles at the two of you.

“My two favorite ladies! I’m so–”

“Excuse me, Donovan?” A very threatening whispers comes from behind Matt and you recognize the voice as the bride’s.

“Not including you, of course, Bon! Come on!” Matt stuttered as he tried to clear himself out of the hole he’d just dug. Meanwhile, Rebekah lets you go and you meet Bonnie’s eyes.

“Come on, he hasn’t seen me in years. I think it’s okay if he likes me a little more,” you laugh as Bonnie glares at you. “COME HERE!”

You and Bonnie quickly wrap your arms around one another, squeezing each other and whispering thank and ‘i love you’s.

“I can’t believe you’re getting married!” You squeal as Bonnie laughs, holding her hand out to show you the ring.

“Yeah, well, Kol is very–”

“Sexy? Handsome? Good at making love?” Kol steps in next to Bonnie, a cocky smirk on his face.

“I was actually gonna go with persistent, but sure baby,” Bonnie boops his nose. “Whatever makes you happy.”

You laugh and Kol hugs you from the side, pouting at Bonnie as she shakes her head, smiling.

“Bonnie’s being mean to me,” he sticks his tongue out at her and you shake your head.

“Are you sure it’s a good idea for you to get married to him, Bonnie? Child marriages are a terrible idea,” you whisper loudly, hand covering the side of your face that Kol could see. Everyone erupts in laughter and Kol groans.

“I forgot you two were best friends! You’re supposed to be on my side,” Kol gently nudges your shoulder and you smile up at him.

“I’ll always be on your side, loser. I’m glad you two are getting married!” You squeal and give him a tight hug, pulling away to smile at him and Bonnie. “So happy for you two!”

“We’re so glad you’re here,” Kol smiles at you and walks over to Bonnie, wrapping an arm around her waist and kissing her temple.

“I’m happy to be here. Now, you two have a cake testing in half an hour and I have to look over hotel arrangements and say hi to all the other losers,” you rub Bonnie’s shoulder as she smiles up at Kol. “Also, there’s no way you two lovebirds are going there alone. We’re on a tight schedule.”

“Y/N, we’ll be fine! We’re not teenagers, come on!”

“Sure you’re not, Kol. Tell your hormones that,” you brush him off and look around for a responsible adult. “Elijah! Stefan! Stefan’s girlfriend! Gather round.”

All three of them walk over to you with tired expressions, not that you care exactly.

“Alright, Bonnie and Kol have to go taste testing, but I don’t trust them alone simply because we’ve got a tight schedule that we have to follow if we want me to live. That being said, I need you three,” you point at Elijah, Stefan, and Stefan’s girlfriend individually. “I need you three to chaperone. Got it?”

“Um, sure. Who are you?” Stefan’s girlfriend speaks up and you turn to look at her.

“Your worst nightmare if anything goes wrong today. Your regular nightmare if you don’t fuck things up. Call me Y/N,” you give her a sweet smile as Damon, Matt, and Rebekah try not to laugh. “Now off you go, everyone!”

You shoo them away, Stefan’s face hardened after your interaction with his girlfriend.

“God, I’m so fucking glad you’re back,” Damon laughs as Matt and Rebekah agree .

“Matt, Beks, I need you to pick up Hayley and Hope, Marcel, Cami, Freya, and Davina from the airport. They should all arrive within 15/20 minutes of one another. The first one lands in half an hour, so get going!” You hand them a sheet with all arrival times, terminal and gate numbers, and hotel arrangements if needed.

“Perfect. See you guys!”  Bekah and Matt grab everything and head out.

“So, anything for me to do?” Damon asks and you look at the crowd, only to find Kai and Alaric arguing rather animatedly about party treats while Elena tried to stop them.

“Yeah, you keep an eye on them. Make sure the idea for the party treats is figured out by tonight. We need decorations ready tonight, too. The color theme is yellow and egghsell white with hints of light green so please get me something by tonight,” you give Damon a look and he nods, finishing up his bourbon.

“One daddy coming right up,” he smirks and walks over to the group as you groan.

You place the clipboard on the bar and eye it, taking a look at everything that needed to be done tonight. Then taking a look at everyone’s hotel arrangements, the times, the baggage. You pour yourself another drink, hoping the jetlag doesn’t catch up with you.

“Need some help, love?” Klaus asks, sitting on the stool next to yours.

“I just need to relax, but I know that I can’t with this wedding coming up,” you swirl your cup and look over to Klaus.

“I can definitely help with that,” he whispers, letting his eyes rest on your lips, and you shake your head, trying not to think of that night.

“Klaus, come on,” you chuckle and look back at the clipboard, hoping he leaves it alone.

“I’m just trying to help, love,” he whispers, his fingers tilting your head to face him.

“Help me some other time,” you bring your lips closer to his and press them against the side of his mouth. He still for a moment as you turn back to the clipboard, trying your hardest not to think of that one night in particular with Klaus.

You’d spent plenty nights with him before. He was one of the few people from back home that you’d actively try to see, the only one who could take your mind off things. This time was different though, this time, he reached out to you. He wanted to see you, wanted you to help him forget. He said he’d surprise you one of these days.

Normally with you two, everything happened fast. A rush of teeth against flesh, nails raking down one another’s sides and back, a primal need to have the other succumb to your will.

That time in particular, Klaus tied you up. You two had never done this before, but you always wanted to try it with him.

“Does my baby girl have some rope?” Klaus cupped your face, gently tilting your head up.

“Y-yes, she does, sir,” you whispered and turned away, grabbing some rope from your closet.

“Good girl,” he whispered, brushing his nose against yours. “Now Sir needs you to strip yourself of everything but your panties and spread out on the bed, okay?”

“Yes, sir,” you turned away, blushing wildly as you obliged. You spread yourself out on the bed and his eyes ravaged you before the rest of him could. You shifted under his gaze, more aroused and more insecure by the second.

“Nuh-uh, love,” he tsked, shaking his head at you as he walked closer and removed his tie. “Sir loves looking at you. He loves seeing a slight tremor pass through you every time I rake my eyes up and down your beautiful body. He loves seeing your nipples perk up the longer they’re left unattended. He loves that beautiful pussy of yours, god that is breathtaking.”

You whimpered as Klaus stopped at the edge of the bed, lowering himself so that his nose was barely brushing against your clothed slit. You begin to move and before you can do so, Klaus raised his eyebrows at you and you stop immediately.

“If baby girl wants my mouth on her, she has to play by Sir’s rules. Okay?” He whispered, gently placing a finger against your panty-covered opening.

“Oh, y-yes si-sir,” you groaned softly and bit your lip as Klaus teased you.

“There’s my good girl,” he whispered, his tone huskier now as his eyes flash golden. “Sir is going to tie up your wrists, okay? The safeword will be watermelon.”

“Yes, sir,” you nodded, eager to have Klaus’s hands all over you. You’d thought about this for a while now.

“Hold your wrists out for Sir,” Klaus climbed on top of the bed and straddled your waist while you lifted your arms to him. He smiled and wrapped the rope around your wrists, eyes growing hungrier by the second. His eyes trailed up and down your body, clearly loving how you looked tied up. The longer he went without touching you, the more impatient you became.

“Are you going to touch me or are you just going to keep staring at me, huh?” Before you could think, the words spilled out of your mouth and you could feel the air around you still. You could feel the change in Klaus’s demeanor. He was never going to touch you now.

“What is one thing that Sir asks of you, the only thing that I ask of you?” He growled out, removing himself from on top of you.

“S-sir asks me to be patient and not speak until spoken to,” you whimpered and looked down, ashamed that you’d broken his one rule.

“And yet you do the exact opposite,” he glared at you, sitting at the edge of your bed and pulling you up towards him. “How many times do you think Sir should spank you for disobeying him?”

“F-five?” You whispered, still unable to look at him. You’d never gotten spanked more than five times.

“Wrong answer. I was thinking more along the lines of 10,” he breathed against your lips as you gasped, finally meeting his gaze. “I want you to count each one, okay?”

“Y-yes,” you couldn’t look up at him, you could barely speak without your voice breaking.

Klaus pulled you over his lap, gently rubbing your panty-covered ass.

“Sir really likes these panties,” he pressed his lips against your back before speaking again. “He would’ve loved to rip these off with his mouth.”

You wanted to beg him to touch you, to bite you, but you knew that would only make this situation worse. So you stayed quiet as Klaus continued to press soft kisses along your backside, once on each cheek and then moving lower.

“Sir loves your filthy little pussy, you know that?” His lips brushed against your lower set and you couldn’t help but whimper at even the slightest touch.

“You’ve been a bad girl. Sir won’t eat you out yet,” he nuzzled his cheek against your ass as his fingers made their way up your thighs and to your panties. “His fingers, however, will give you a wild orgasm. You’ll feel each slap even more after I finger-fuck your wet pussy.”

You couldn’t help but to groan at his words and at his hands. His fingers stayed outside your panties but the fabric somehow added friction with each touch. He held your hip with one hand while the other teased you. He pressed one slender finger against where he knew was your eager opening. You moaned loudly and he did it again, this time pushing the finger and the cloth deeper in you.

“Who knew having your panties on made you even more vulnerable?” Klaus growled as he used his thumb to tease your swollen clit. He leaned down to lick a small strip over your panties, from your opening to your clit. That way, the cloth was more flexible. He bent both it and me to his will. His thumb worked tirelessly against my clit as he brought forth another finger and quickly rammed it against my panties, the thickness of his fingers wrapped inside the cloth made me shake.

“Oh, that’s it. You’re getting closer, aren’t you?” He bit your thigh, careful not to sink his teeth into you.

His fingers swiftly removed the cloth and found their places against your pussy. His thumb was pressed against your clit, not moving and not letting you move. Meanwhile, his fingers quickly rammed in and out of you, your walls clenching around them as he grew merciless. You screamed his name, barely yelling out a warning as you came all over his fingers and your panties. He chuckled lowly, wiping his fingers against your panties and pulling them back up against you.

Before you can come down from your high, you feel Klaus’s palm make contact with your ass. Over and over and over. 10 times over to be exact. You knew because you counted. You knew because Klaus apologized and made you cum 10 times after that to prove his guilt. You, of course, didn’t mind the spanking, but you wouldn’t tell him that for a while.

“Hello? Earth to Y/N?” A hand waving in front of your face pulls you out of your rather embarrassing thoughts.

“Yes?” You clear your throat and turn to face Jeremy, completely ignoring Klaus’s rugged smirk to your side.

“First of all, I’m so fucking glad you’re back. These people are all crazy,” he pulls you into a hug and you laugh, realizing how much you’d miss this annoying kid.

“Second of all,” he pulls away and smiles widely at you. “Kai and I don’t know who we’re rooming with. I don’t think anyone else does either.”

“Oh, right. Well,” you clear your throat and grab the clipboard, flipping through the pages until you find one titled hotel arrangements. “It says here that are couples are rooming together; Bonnie and Kol will be staying in separate, larger suites; everyone else will get paired off and one lucky trio will get a larger room but will have to band together.”

Everyone nodded, seeing as it made sense thanks to Caroline.

“Now let’s see. It says here that the Saltzmans are all in one huge room. Elijah, Hayley, and Hope are in one room. Matt and Beks, Davina and Cami, Stefan and Ivy? So that’s her name, hm,” you shrug and continue reading the list to those present. “Damon and Elena. Caroline and Enzo. Tyler and Liv. Freya and Luke. Kai, Marcel, and Jeremy. And that leaves me with Klaus. Any questions?”

You look up to see the others have poured in as well: cake testing is over and Matt and Beks are back from the airport with all the folks.

“Yes,” Kai pipes up, looking rather concerned. “Does that trio room have three beds because I refuse to share one with dirty Jeremy over here.”

“No, Kai. You all have share one King bed. We’re making a porno,” you shake your head and Kai’s eyes grow wide. “I’m kidding Kai. Three separate Queen beds for three sassy queens. Any other questions?”

“Yes, why are you sharing a room with Klaus?” Stefan’s eyes meet yours and you do all you can not to walk over there and punch him.

“I didn’t want to be part of a lucky trio and Klaus is one of my best friends. Now, any questions that concern you?” You roll your eyes at him and Stefan shakes his head.

“Yes,” Ivy pipes up and by now you’re fuming. “Who are you, seriously?”

it’s always a little funny to me when I read fics where jack can’t go two feet without being recognized, or where people give bitty tons of crap for not knowing who he/his dad is, because like

I didn’t know who sidney crosby was until around october

If you had pressed me to name a single hockey player, I would have *maybe* been able to say wayne gretzky

I don’t think I could recognize (or name except for maybe one) a single player for the blackhawks in spite of getting all the chicago papers, watching the news, and listening to tons of sports radio whenever I’m with my dad

(I know there are a lot of hockey people on here who would definitely be able to recognize every player in the NHL, no problem, and that my experience with sports/hockey specifically is in no way universal, but I just think it’s a bit easier to be disconnected from the hockey world than some people may realize).

companions react to a sole who's.... really not good at taking care of themselves but takes good care of their companion and is kinda self destructive and covers it up with jokes.

Cait: “Hey.” She catches their arm one day and turns them around to look at her. “I know you don’t give a fuck, right, but I do. If you go off and fuck yourself up, who’ve I got to keep me in line, hm? Take things a little more seriously. I… I know I’m not a good example of taking care of yourself, but think of it this way - whatever I’d do, don’t.”

Codsworth: “Mx. Sole, I don’t know why you’d joke about such things.” He almost takes it as a capital offense, especially since its his job to look after them. “Missing meals is not amusing! You’ll lose weight, and in the Commonwealth you must understand that…” It’d be cute, if his genuine worry didn’t make Sole feel so damn guilty.

Curie: “Perhaps you could use a nurse, yes?” She’s tentative. She’s a doctor - she might not be able to diagnose the sickness, but she can see the symptoms. But she doesn’t want to make any rash judgments. Instead, she smiles at Sole’s jokes and gently suggests that perhaps they have something to eat, and relax a little? If Sole takes care of her, it’s only fair that she takes care of them.

Danse: “There’s something I was taught, in the military,” the paladin says sternly. “It’s all well and good to try and help your comrades. But you come first. You can’t be a war medic with a broken leg.” He plants his hands firmly on the table and looks them dead in the eye. “If you have a problem, we will deal with that problem. But I won’t see you sacrificing yourself for my sake.”

Deacon: It almost makes him uncomfortable. It’s too close to who he is. To what he is. Right down to his distrust of intimacy and two-handed finger guns. It’s a coin flip, to be honest. Heads, it’s too much for him to bear, and he leaves, with a wooden excuse neither of them believe. Tails, and Sole becomes the best friend he’s ever had, because they’re the one person who understands him.

Dogmeat: He might be a smart dog, but even he can’t fully understand what Sole’s dealing with - or rather, what they’re not dealing with. But he can always sense unhappiness, and he does his best to comfort Sole when they’re in a bad place, or just need a little friendship.

Hancock: Sole reminds him too much of how he was as a kid. All sass and ass and no thought for what people would do when he was gone. He’s never one to patronize or try to “teach” Sole anything, but he takes them under his wing. Passes on a few tips and tricks for when you fuck up a relationship or forget to bathe for a few weeks. He comes to think of them as part of his family.

Nick Valentine: He’s not the best at all that “human” stuff, either, though he at least has an excuse. He takes on the role of a father figure, trying to keep them on a schedule, or think of themselves as much as they think of their friends. “You think you’re helping me,” he says one day, frustrated. “But every day I see you destroy yourself - in whatever way - it hurts me just as bad.”

MacCready: At first, he doesn’t notice, mistaking their destruction for deprecation. But, over time, he gets worried. “H-Hey, uh. I don’t- I don’t know if you really want to hear this from me, but… When I see you, uh, not giving a shi- crap, about yourself, it looks bad on me, you know? Because I like you, but if you don’t like you… it feels like you’re putting me down for being your friend.”

Piper: Considering how much she looks up to Sole, it pains her to see their lackluster attempt at taking care of themselves. “Don’t you care?” she shouts, half-angry, half-sad. “You’re- You’re you! God, without you- where would I be? Where would everyone be?” She reaches and clasps Sole by the shoulders. “You matter. Now, start… acting like it, damn it.”

Preston: It’s hard to have high hopes about saving the Commonwealth with someone who gets anxiety whenever expectations are levied on them. “Sole, I…” He sighs, presses his lips together, and starts again. “As a soldier, I don’t think you’re ready to have others rely on you. But as your friend, it doesn’t matter where you are - in your head - or not. You can rely on me.”

Strong: There’s not much one can do or say to Strong to upset him. Recklessness in battle translates to fun, in Super Mutant. He doesn’t understand eating habits or relationship trouble. He’s just happy to stick by Sole’s side, blissful in his ignorance.

X6-88: “Sole.” He catches their hand, just as they’re about to do something stupid. “Being a bodyguard is made rather difficult when your charge  insists on finding danger where there is none.” He releases their hand. “You’re not saving yourself by giving into your fear, by becoming the person you think you are. You’re better than that. If you weren’t, I wouldn’t be here.”

“Are you dating?”

Dex shrugs. “I don’t know, Sara.” Dex loves his sister, truly. But sometimes–like right now–she needs to lay off.

“Well, what do you do together?”

“Uh…”

“Besides get off.”

Dex thinks. “We play hockey. We do homework. We went and got burritos once. We go running along the river.”

“So he’s like, a friend with benefits?”

“Except he’s not a friend,” Dex says, frustrated. “He went to Andover and his parents own a brownstone on the Upper West Side. Do you know how rich you have to be to own an apartment in New York, let alone a building?”

Bidding on The Avengers (part 1)

F!reader x Avengers (eventually)

Summary: Tony is organizing a charity event in which all his teammates (individually) will be auctioned off to the highest bidder, and go on a date.

A/n: This is just the first part, setting up the story. The rest of the series will be the reader x various avengers. I have Thor’s, Bruce’s, T'Challa’s, and Vision’s started.

“What a marvelous idea! This ball of charity!” Thor exclaimed. He had a big grin plastered on his face after hearing Tony’s announcement.

All the Avengers were gathered in the common area.

“You see? Thor, has the right kind of attitude!” Tony stated nodding his head, then he pointed at the rest of the Avengers.

The team continued to glare at Tony in response.

“The rest of you… Could be a little more excited, it’s for underprivileged children after all.“

Pepper cleared her throat.

“The auction is raising money for education. I already gave generous donations to various children organizations on your behalf.”

Tony shrugged, “Either way, it’s for a good cause.”

In Texas (where I live) there is a statewide academic competition called UIL and, despite participating in it for the better part of six years, I still haven’t a clue as to what it stands for. But I compete in a lot of events, especially speech and debate. Specifically, Policy Debate and Informational Speaking. Both of these events include writing speeches on a time crunch. I have mastered at least novice public speaking after plenty and plenty trial and error. Here are some tips I’ve picked up.

Disclaimer: Giving speeches is very subjective and this is what has worked out for me. If it doesn’t work out for you continue exploring different methods, you’ll find something!

-Have a decent idea about what you’re talking about. Most likely you’re reading this because you need to speak in front of the class and didn’t suddenly join policy debate. Most likely you know what you’re topic is and you’ll have done research on it. KNOW MORE THAN WHAT YOU PUT IN YOUR SPEECH. Know details and dates and anecdotes. If you’re discussing owning a tiger as a pet you should not only know about laws and regulations of owning a tiger but also know other things about tigers, like how big they get and how much food they require. This also helps if you are asked questions at the end. Even though it may not seem like it, people can tell when you know what you’re talking about.

-Know your audience. Who are you talking to? Are you persuading them or informing them? Are they college professors or classmates? If you know who you’re talking to it is easier to cater your language to those people. You don’t need to say “tigers are abused maliciously and without regard to any subset of decency” when talking to your tenth grade classmates.

-UMs and AND SOs. These are called filler words. It is second nature to use them. All languages have them and conversationally there is nothing wrong with them. However if you’re standing in front of people grading you it makes you sound unsure and not confidence. This won’t be an easy habit to break so don’t feel bad if you don’t get it right away. Start by acknowledging when you use filler words. Then think as you speak. Instead of using a filler word, pause for a second. I know it feels like you’re pausing forever but you’re not. No one really notices tbh.

-Write out your speech verbatim then condense into an outline. When writing out a speech for a class or something, you need to know what you want to say about each idea (before you write anything out you should already have facts and information). Putting it on paper makes it easier to say later when presenting. Practice a few time reading it aloud. Use inflection and tone to move the speech along. When you’ve read through it a few times condense it back down to an outline. NEVER EVER READ A SPEECH WORD FOR WORD UNLESS YOU’RE THE PRESIDENT AND YOUR SPEECHES ARE WRITTEN FOR YOU (or your teacher says it’s cool). If you read a speech in high school/college generally you’re monotone and boring and it is 10000000% obvious that you’re reading from a script.

-Practice with the outline. The more you practice the better you sound and the less you use filler words!!!!!!!

~ACTUAL SPEECH TIME~

-IT IS OKAY TO BE NERVOUS. There are so many people who will tell you that nerves are terrible and will screw you up. At times that is the case. However take a deep breath and put things in perspective. Most likely you are not the only one making a speech and everyone else is just as worried about messing up as you. Acknowledge the fact you’re nervous. Take deep breaths and consciously think about slowing your heart rate down. I always look at the back wall when making a speech that doesn’t need to be persuasive. The wall doesn’t give a crap if your face is red or your stutter a bit. It’s a wall.
If it is persuasive then practice on friends and family. Make sweeping eye contact (not actual eye contact but it looks like it). And sometimes you just gotta suck it up and talk.

-MOVE. Don’t stand still. If you stand still you’ll become monotone and boring and you don’t want that. Talk with your hands. Sway a bit. Make a grand gesture when making a big point. Talk as though you were talking to a friend. If you were talking about how harmful tigers being held as pets is to a friend you would be getting worked up. You’d be moving and gesturing. Channel that in your speech.

-INFLECT. Remember how we don’t want to be monotone? When saying “Tigers being held as pets are, more often than not, a death sentence” don’t say it as though you’re telling your mom you’re going to Target. Emphasise the strong emotional words. (i.e. death sentence). Don’t scream it, but make it harsh and forceful.

-stand up straight. You’ll look professional and studies show certain postures help foster confidence.

-don’t make it obvious if you mess up. 99% people won’t notice/care.

You were sitting on Dean’s lap before the three of you headed out for the hunt, “You be careful,” Dean said against your hair.

           You nodded, “I will.”

“I’m serious, Y/N,” he said, “You have to be careful out there.”

“Dean, you tell me the same thing every time we go on a hunt. I know what I’m doing. I’m a good hunter.”

“I know you are,” he sighed, “But I’m just … always worried.”

“I know,” you nodded, kissing him, “I know.”

Sam walked out of the bathroom and smiled at you, “You guys ready to get out of here?” he asked.

You nodded, holding out your hand to him to help you off of Dean’s lap, “I’m ready. You ready, Worry Wart?” you teased Dean.

Sam helped you stand, pulling you into his arms, “I worry about you too,” he said, “So, it’s not just Dean.”

“And I worry about both of you, so there’s double the worry in me,” you countered, “So, there’s that.”

“You know love, you look rather ravishing this early morning,” Sirius said with a smirk as he sat beside you in the Great Hall. “Go away Black,” you sighed, turning away from the black haired boy.

“Don’t be like that baby girl! I’m just telling you the truth! Don’t you want someone telling you that you look beautiful?” Sirius faked hurt.

“I do want someone to tell me I look beautiful. I don’t want you,” you told him as you pushed your food away from you.

The smirk on his face is unmistakable, “Oh, you don’t want me? I think you’re lying.”

“Why would you think I’m lying?”

“Because I’m irresistible,” Sirius said smugly.

“You’re so up yourself. Just leave me alone,” you said as you stood up. As you began to walk off, you heard Sirius say, “Just you wait, baby girl. You’ll realise how much you want me.”

“That’s likely,” you muttered as you walked out.

“Hey L/n!”

You rolled your eyes and groaned, tucking your textbooks under your arm, “What do you want now Black?”

“Same as before. I want you,” he said, reaching over to push a lock of your hair out of your face. You pulled away from him and narrowed your eyes, “Look, Black. I’ve told you before, and I’ll tell you again. I’m not interested in you. I’m not interested in being your toy of the day, or the week if I’m ‘lucky’. I don’t want to sleep with you! Why can’t you accept that?!”

“Hey now,” Sirius faked shock and hurt, “I don’t just want to sleep with you. I want a relationship with you.”

You scoffed, “Oh yeah? I’ll believe that when Lily Evans agrees to date James bloody Potter. And, considering how things are going with them, that’s never. Why don’t you just go back to Marlene McKinnon or something? Weren’t you fucking her last week? You’re all she can talk about anyways.”

Your voice sounded bitter though you didn’t mean it to.

“I don’t want to be with McKinnon! I want to be with you. Yes, I’ve slept with her. I’ve slept with a lot of people, and I know you know it. There’s no point denying it. But don’t judge me based on what I’ve done,” Sirius said.

“Considering that I’ve literally watched nearly every girl in our entire year, the year below and the year above crying over how you played them, I’m gonna have to go with the likelihood that if I were to go out with you, I’d be the next girl crying in the toilet cubicles,” you moved your textbooks under the other arm.

Sirius was silent, and you rolled your eyes again, “Look, if you have nothing else to say then we’re done here. Just accept the fact that I don’t want you. I never have, and I never will.”

You turned around and began to walk off, though before you got too far away, you could have sworn you heard him say, “I’ll win you over, just you wait L/n.”

***

“Come on Evans, just say yes to him! It’s just one date. I know he’s a dork, but you know he means well,” Sirius pleaded with the redhead.

“You just want Y/n to go out with you,” Lily accused, frowning at the taller boy. “Well, yes. But Prongs deserves a date too. Why can’t you do it? For me?” Sirius pouted, but Lily just raised an eyebrow.

“I’m not saying yes to James just so you can break Y/n’s heart. Go find a new hobby,” she said, “But if you really want to be with her that badly, why don’t you just prove it to her? Stop sleeping around, and flirting with other girls. Make her realise you’re serious - excuse the pun - about her. Now, I’ve got to go, hun. I’m late for class. But good luck!”

Sirius cursed to himself, leaning against a wall. All he wanted was a chance with you, but you wouldn’t give him it. He could see why, but he hated it nonetheless.

He watched as you walked past him on your way to class, admiring how beautiful you looked. You may have been wearing the same robes as everyone else in the school, but to him, you somehow made them look… better.

Maybe Lily was right. He’d have to prove to you that he wanted to be with you.

“Hey Sirius, want to skip class and…” Marlene smirked suggestively, appearing at his side as she stroked up Sirius’ bicep slowly.

Sirius closed his eyes and pushed her away, “Not now, McKinnon.” As he walked away, his eyes still trained on your retreating form, Marlene frowned.

Sirius never said no to being with a girl.

***

“He’s acting strange, I’m telling you,” Marlene said as she reapplied her lipstick, “I keep offering myself to him and he keeps denying me! He never used to do that! I don’t know what’s gotten into him.” Lily acted like she had no idea why Sirius had been acted the way he was, but secretly smiled to herself. He was listening to her advice for the first time ever.

“Maybe he just doesn’t want to sleep around anymore,” Lily said, making Marlene sigh. “I never thought the day would come.”

You sat beside the Black Lake, enjoying the summer breeze as you sat reading a book you took from the library earlier.

It was a perfect afternoon, and you were enjoying the peace and quiet until your reading was disrupted by a voice.

“Y/n, babe,” James said as he sat down beside you. You looked up at the messy haired boy, raising an eyebrow, “What’s up Potter?”

“Nothing! Can’t a guy sit with one of his best friends on a nice afternoon and not want anything?” James said in fake shock.

“You’re right, they can. But not when the guy in question’s best friend has been almost stalking me for weeks now,” you said as you marked the page of your book and closed it.

“I wouldn’t call it stalking as such,” James said with a smile. “What would you call it then?” He paused for a moment, “Okay, no, you’re right. He has been stalking you a little. But only because he’s crazy about you. You’re the only thing he’s been taking about for weeks now.”

You almost blushed at the new information, your heart starting to beat faster, though you’d never admit that aloud. “What’s he been saying?”

“Just how much he loves you. And that he wants to be with you. And some other sickeningly lovey stuff that I’d only repeat if it were to my Lily. The point is, he’s head over heels for you babe,” James said as he leant back to lay across the grass.

You didn’t say anything, trying to hide the small smile that was making its way across your face.

“Why doesn’t he just say that to me?” You asked, laying down next to James. He shrugged, “He’s not good at feelings.”

“Do me a favour and convince him to tell me his feelings? I want to hear it from him,” you said as you reached over to grab your book again.

“Will do, babe.”

***

“Come on, Padfoot! She told me herself, she wants you to tell her how you feel! Women love words! So tell her for Merlin’s sake!” James said to Sirius as they walked out of the Great Hall.

“I wouldn’t know where to begin. How am I supposed to put into words how much I love her, and how much I hate it when she’s not around?” Sirius asked in despair.

“Actually, I think you just did,” James said with a grin as he saw you rounding the corner at that particular moment. He slapped Sirius on the back as he began to walk away.

“Did you hear that?” Sirius asked you, wincing a little. “Maybe,” you said, tucking your hair behind your ear, “But just in case I heard it wrong, maybe you should say it again. But this time to my face.”

“I erm… I… I don’t… I mean… Damn it! Why is this so hard to say?! Why can’t I just tell you how bad I want you?! And not like a ‘I want you in my bed’ want you, but like… Merlin, Y/n, I just want to be with you! I want to be able to kiss you whenever I want, I want to be able to hold you, touch you, make other guys know that you’re mine! Because whether you know it or not, you are mine! And I’m going to keep on asking you out, because I’m not going to give up on you, on us! You belong with me, in my arms!” He grabbed your hips and pulled your body against his as he slowly walked you backwards. You felt the wall behind you, and all you could focus on was the love and lust clouding Sirius’ eyes.

“Please Y/n. Just give me a chance!” He pleaded quietly.

“You know, that’s the first real thing you’ve said to me,” you said with a small smile, “Without all the flirting and all the other charm crap.”

Sirius grinned, “So you’ll give me chance?”

He looked at you hopefully, and you pretended to think for a minute, before smiling back, “One chance. If you blow it, it’s not my fault.”

“One chance is all I need, baby girl.”
