It’s been awhile since I’ve written anything, but I can’t sleep and I’m overthinking the past. So I decided to write this… enjoy :)
I wrote this at 6AM I’m so sorry.
Setting: College AU
Summary: Natsu needed just one chance to prove to her that he wasn’t going anywhere.
“Lu-chan! You skipped out on the last party; you’re going to this one!” The petite student shouted at her dorm mate who just sighed at her words.
“I’m sorry Levy-chan, I have to study.”
Levy rolled her hazel eyes. “You and I know that’s a lie, it’s fall break! Don’t you want to have a little fun?” The blunette pouted. “Oh come on,” her pout turned into a knowing grin, “Natsu will be there.”
To Levy’s surprise, her dorm mate just shook her head instead of her face flushing like it normally would. “I’m not comfortable enough with everyone yet, I need time to adjust.”
Levy stayed silent for a moment, observing her best friends crestfallen expression. “This doesn’t have anything to do with the fact you feel left out… does it?”
Lucy blinked. “Why would you think that?”
The petite student scoffed. “Maybe the fact that we all grew up together and you came into our group just a few months ago?”
The way the blonde flinched at her accusation made her realize that was the reason.
Levy’s eyebrows scrunched in worry. “Lu-chan-”
“Maybe the next one Levy-chan.” Lucy muttered so softly the blunette was surprised she heard it.
Besides fighting back like she usually would, Levy decided to let it go just this once.
“Yeah… maybe the next one.”
“Who’s all pumped for this party?!” Natsu shouted to no one in particular.
“Calm down Flame Brain, you need all your energy when I decide to kick your sorry ass at beer pong.” Gray tainted with a smirk.
Natsu growled. “Oh yeah? You’re the one who’s going to get their ass kicked Stripper!”
“I wish Shrimp would hurry up, I’m tired of you two idiots already.” Gajeel grumbled earning the fighting duo’s full attention.
“WHAT DID YOU SAY?!”
“That you two are the dumbest people I’ve ever met-”
“Sorry I’m late you guys!” Levy said coming up to the group of three. She didn’t miss the way her boyfriend muttered ‘about time’ and the way Natsu looked into the direction she came in.
