and keep this one

Another month, another elemental holiday!
I’ve gotta say, this Crystalline Gala has gone above and beyond, I love absolutely every skin!
(I go through the forums and the response is overwhelmingly positive, and then theres those people who are just Meh about everything. what do u want. does nothing please u)
This one was my entry, Solstice Rosette for wildclaw females.

I know basically no-one here on tumblr will care, only a few of my followers do, but today is the Day of Unity of Ukraine. This day is symbolic, as the country is now divided due to the invasion and part of it is under occupation.

Today also marks the date of the first deaths among the protestors at Independence Square (or Maidan Nezalezhnosti) in Kyiv, exactly three years ago. Their names were Mikhail Zhyznevskiy and Serhiy Nigoyan. More than 100 more protestors would be killed not long afterwards. Thousands more have died (and still keep dying) in the war that broke out afterwards. Because SOMEONE didn’t like us going away from under their influence.

And all we got is those two magic words - ‘deep concern’. Cool.

Let's Stay Home Tonight

Requested by anonymous!

I hope you guys like this one. It was super calming to write and I really like the lyrics of this song.

Shadows danced behind your eyelids. The light streaming through the window, softly. The sun was setting behind the tall buildings. It was beautiful. The ocean spilling into the sky.

You brought your knees up to your chest, resting your head against the window sill. Peering out at the view.

The serenity filled your body, making you smile in adoration. It had been a long trip, but you were almost home.

It was like Shawn knew what you were thinking. Slipping off his shoes, picking you up over his shoulder. You relaxed against his body, indulging in the free ride up the stairs.

He laid you down on the bed. That had been awaiting your return for the past week. You made it up nicely with clean sheets before you left. Making it feel that much better to get in between the covers.

“There’s something comforting about road trips.” You whispered against Shawn’s chest. He has pulled you close, entangling your legs. His cold feet, brushing against your lightly clad legs.

“We should do that more often. It’s a nice change from being in airports all the time.”

Road trips meant more time with Shawn, including the frequent stops purely out of spontaneity. The two of you had stopped in every city, asking someone to take your picture. Your idea to create some type of photo album later.

“I know you’re exhausted, baby. Sleep.” Shawn peppers kisses across your forehead and temple. You glance up, seeing his eyes shut now and you follow happily in suit.

You’re not sure of the time, following your recent wake up. The sun peers through the curtained window, as it comes through the trees. It must be early.

The space next to you is empty and you wonder where your boyfriend is. It’s too early to function and you’d rather him be here. To share a few more minutes in placidity.

You sat up, plucking one of the books off your side table. Shawn was probably at the gym, or quietly eating breakfast. Not wanting to wake you.

Your mind settled on the engaging characters from you novel. How beautifully one spoke of the other. You’ve read the book a hundred times, but it never grew old.

Time passed, and soon enough Shawn walked into your bedroom; sweat beading at his forehead.

“I was wondering where you went.” You declare, closing your book temporarily.

“I couldn’t sleep, so I just went to the gym. I’ve missed working out.” He laughs, pulling his shirt over his head.

“Don’t come over here until you’ve showered.” You request, looking back at the white parchment.

“Yes, ma'am.” Your eyes meet his sculpted back, enjoying the view.

“I know you’re looking!” He calls and you can sense the smile crossing his lips. “Don’t even try to deny it!”

“Believe me, I wasn’t going to.”

The day was spent unpacking and reliving your favorite memories of the trip. Movies played all day, as you flowed in and out of the living room. There was such a comfort in being home like nothing else.

“Come dance with me.” The credits were rolling, a beautiful song accompanying the words on the screen.

Shawn offers you his hand and you take it. Your arms circle around his neck, his meeting at the curve of your back.

You weren’t a very good dancer, but Shawn took the lead easily.

“We won’t even have to get those classes before our wedding.”

“Wedding? Who said I wanted to marry you?”

Shawn’s face flushes, but you burst out laughing, calming his features.

“I’m kidding!” You rest your head back on his shoulder. The music has ended, but your bodies seem to know what to do without it.

There’s butterflies in your stomach at the mention of a wedding. You couldn’t even imagine how incredible it would be to call Shawn your husband. It was only the day you’d dreamt of since you were a little girl. The two of you were still young, but it could become an amazing thing to look forward to.

“Do you want to watch another movie?” Shawn asks against your ear.

“Can we just stay like this?”

“Of course.” He kisses your forehead. Your bodies are only moving back and forth know, but it’s the most tranquil you’ve been. Even after your vacation.

“I don’t think I’ll ever want to go out again. This moment takes first place.” Its perfect, being with Shawn. Not having to share him with anyone else.

The two of you continue dancing into the night. Shawn hums into your ear, creating a simple melody. Your future plays behind your eyelids, imagining where it could be taken. The possibilities are endless. Especially with Shawn by your side.

me before jaxcon: living the life and hoping that my favorite actors will talk about the things that make me geniunely happy because tv shows need discussion and theories to survive and mine is as valid as anybody’s™

me after jaxcon: still living the life bc i don’t care about what someone, no matter how popular they are, says about the things that make me geniunely happy because tv shows need discussion and theories to survive and mine is as valid as anybody’s™

I agree that The Woman is and has been important to Sherlock. (Heck, I used to ship them.) But if you choose to speculate differently, please make sure not to tag your posts with either the portmanteu name for her and Sherlock, or her character name. I would also suggest misspelling her name in the body of any such posts the way one would jlock so it doesn’t show up in their tags. Everyone is entitled to their opinions and feelings, and we don’t all have to agree, but we all should remember to practice common courtesy.

We can all be better. We can all do better. Never let anyone tell you that you’re not a good artist, innovator, doer, thinker, builder, maker, person if you’re trying. You just haven’t gotten to where you want to be yet. You probably never will, but no one has.  Not really. Goodness is the desire to be better, not some final product. Keep trying. Keep becoming better.

Found & Forgotten Supporting Characters

When I originally posted Found & Forgotten, I “casted” the supporting characters and created a banner. It helped me visualize these people in my head. I hope I don’t spoil your own head canons with mine!

Bess Cooper - Sarah Paulson in Down With Love (which was a major stylistic influence)

Daniel (Devious Devilish Dastardly) Higgins - Clive Owen

Niles Eddington (Bess’s longtime boyfriend) - Martin Freeman

Priscilla Bootkins - Honor Blackman as P*ssy Galore in Goldfinger. (Put the asterisk in so blacklist wouldn’t be triggered. LOL.)

Miss Woods (Eve) - Eve Arden

Jim the Elevator Operator - Stanley Holloway (He played Mr. Doolittle in My Fair Lady)
