and it took me like 5 years

I always had a headcannon about Eli. When the third years got out of high school, Eli got another growth spurt like managed to go to 5'9 or higher and when everyone decided to visit her disaster arrived, Nico being more salty and bitter about the high since she has to crane her neck all the way up and decided to climb the tol bean and when she did all she said was "I finally got tall and no one going to make me go down". It took 3 hours of negotiations of trying to get Nico to get down from Eli.

njkfmkdslmkcds nico makes the worst tall people jokes just because she knows eli will get sick of it… every day she asks her how the weather is up there

eventually eli prints a version of this card just for nico

but it’s covered in text and two-sided with every rebuttal to every tall people joke eli can think of

nico’s goal is to make eli get reprints of the card

My professor talked about how women aren’t used to asking for things in the work place, such as raises, because we’re conditioned to downplay our achievements and hold off on asserting our value. She discussed how, even now at this stage in her career (a published doctrate), she shakes when she askes to be considered for a raise and about the first time she was really successful at getting one. After class I asked her what she asked her boss and she winked at me, took me to her office, and asked me to take notes.

She said she practiced this technique like 5 times in her office before she requested a meeting with her boss. I’m gonna share it with you guys because I really loved it.

You start off by thanking your employer for their support (whatever that means in the context of your work environment).
You then say that you would like to take some time to discuss next year’s salary.
You say, allow me to refresh your memory regarding some of my accomplishments or contributions from the past year, and you present a written summary of all that you’ve done.
You close by saying, I hope that next year’s salary reflects this list of contributions and you thank them for their time and see yourself out.

I just loved how she made it seem so much less daunting of a task. She said not to underestimate your achievements as women have a tendency underreporting what they’ve done.

The fact that she shared this with me really meant a lot as well as women really need to be there to empower each other and help guide each other towards success. So if you end up using this, let me know! I want to see how it works for you ^_^.

Sing Fanfiction #3

Here’s a fluffy sing fanfiction a little early because  happy new year :)

Some fluff, as promised.
(Well mostly fluff ;))

Basically I combined 2 different ideas from 2 different anons and then added onto it :D basically the idea is Ash, Meena, and Johnny go out for a night to a teenage club for karaoke and fun and hijinks ensue

“…She what?”

“Ash got a new boyfriend.” Meena told Johnny over the phone. “She asked if she could bring him with us to that club thing tonight and I told her she could. That’s okay right?”

“Yeah but….. Is she even thinking about what happened last time?”

“She insisted he’s not like her….previous boyfriend.”

“Well we’ll just have to be the judges of that.” Johnny said. He heard Meena laugh on the other end.

Meena heard a skid on the other line before Johnny spoke up again. “I just got to the prison so….see you in a few hours?” He said. Meena nodded, then realized he couldn’t see her. “Oh! Uh, yeah, see you in a few hours.”

There was a click as Johnny hung up, then Meena did the same.

A few hours later, Ash, her new boyfriend, and Meena all stood outside the club. Ash looked at the clock on her phone and then around before hearing a screech, then a thud and turning back around.

Meena walked over to help a laughing Johnny off the ground while Ash grabbed his skateboard, which had been launched several feet behind him as he’d apparently crashed it.

“Sorry I’m late,” he said, “I got caught up at the prison, and then I saw what time it was and rushed over here on my skateboard.” He motioned to the sidewalk and laughed. “Apparently a little too fast.” Ash and Meena laughed, and Johnny looked behind them to a uncomfortable looking porcupine standing behind the two.

“Who’s this?” He asked Ash, knowing perfectly well who it was.

Ash looked ecstatic. “This is Vincent!” She said enthusiastically. She handed Johnny his skateboard and grabbed Vincent’s hand, bringing him more forward. “Vincent, this is Johnny. Johnny, Vincent. My boyfriend.” She said.

Johnny stuck out his hand, and Vincent shook it. “Pleasure to meet you.” Johnny said, squeezing Vincent’s hand a little harder than he should’ve and giving him a cold stare until Ash cleared her throat and spoke.

“Well? Are we going in or not?”

Vincent sat at the table with Johnny and Meena, watching in awe as Ash karaoked an amazing cover of “Dream on.” The performance got her a standing ovation, and she playfully curtsied for the clapping crowd.

She walked back to the table, wiping sweat from her forehead. Vincent was so in awe of his girlfriend that he didn’t even notice Johnny and Meena practically staring him down.

“That. Was. AWESOME.” he breathed as she walked up. “I wish I could sing that well.” Ash smiled. Johnny shot him a look, then said, “You were great.” Meena nodded. “Yeah.”

Ash wiped sweat off her forehead again. “Thanks guys.” She slipped off her jacket. “It’s real hot in here so I’m gonna go put this with Johnny’s skateboard. Be right back.” She said cheerfully. Then she walked off.

“She seems happy.” Vincent said. “Yeah, she does.” Meena said. Then she looked at Johnny. “Johnny?” She said, as if she was giving him a cue.

Johnny stood up and slammed his hand on the table, getting all up in Vincent’s face.

“Wha-” Vincent said, startled.

“Listen here,” Johnny said in a darker tone of voice than he’d been using that night, “You’re right. She looks HAPPY. You don’t have any plans to change that, do you?”

“What? Why would I-”

“Hey!” Johnny continued, “Listen here, listen closely: Ash is our good friend. And I swear, if you break her heart like her last boyfriend did…” He leaned in closer, causing Vincent to lean slightly back. Johnny lifted his finger to Vincent’s face. “I may not be that violent, but I’ve picked up a thing or two from my dad, and if you hurt her I swear to god I will not hesitate to mess. You. Up.” He paused. “Is that clear?” He asked slowly through clenched teeth.

The porcupine didn’t move an inch. “C-crystal…” He stuttered.

Johnny remained in Vincent’s face for a moment, then pulled back. “Good.”

Just then, Ash came back without her jacket. “What’d I miss?” She asked cheerfully. “Nothing much.” Meena and Johnny replied simultaneously, just as cheerfully. Ash smiled, and didn’t seem to notice the terrified expression on Vincent’s face.

She grabbed his hand. “C'mon, let’s go dance!!!” She said excitedly. “I heard they’re just about to play don’t stop believing!” She pulled him out of his seat and started running off; then she stopped to turn to Johnny and Meena. “Oh! You two wanna come?”

Johnny and Meena both immediately put up their hands and shook their heads.

“No no no no no no no-”

“I’m good-”

“Can’t dance-”

Ash laughed and rolled her eyes at the two and then dragged Vincent off before he could say anything.

Meena and Johnny were struggling over conversation. They’d never really hung out alone together before, and had no idea what to talk about.

Meena coughed. Johnny whistled.

Meena was the first to break the silence. “Is your head okay?”

Johnny was slightly confused. “What?”

“Your head: when you fell off your skateboard earlier- it looked like you hit it pretty hard on the concrete.”

Johnny paused, then laughed. “Aw, no, I’m fine.” He tapped the side of his head with his fist. “I have a thick skull.”

Meena laughed.

Brief silence.

“Sorry that I was late.” Johnny said. “I was talking with my dad… Kinda lost track of time.”

Meena paused. “What’s he like?” She asked suddenly.

“Your dad. I’ve never actually met him personally. What’s he like?”

Johnny thought for a moment. “Well,” he said. “That’s kind’ve hard… but….before? Really annoying. Always pushing me to be a part of his stupid gang, constantly telling me I wasn’t good enough…” He paused. “But I mean…he loved me. It….I could tell. Sometimes it wasn’t obvious, but I could tell.” He paused again and smiled. “You know, when I was younger, he took me on heists all the time, you know, to get me used to them, since I was apparently destined to become part of his little gang.” He took a sip of the coke that he’d bought earlier. “Anyways, we were on a heist one time, and I saw this guy- he was riding an awesome skateboard, and he had on an awesome jacket.” Johnny laughed. “I thought he was so cool- I wanted that jacket and skateboard so badly. Well, my dad noticed, and he dropped this entire plan to- get this- steal GOLD, and made the entire gang go on a heist to break into the stores and steal the jacket and skateboard. I remember: the rest of the gang was SO mad at him, but he said, "I don’t care what you think- it’s for my son.” Johnny laughed and took another sip of coke. “The skateboard was about as tall as I was at the time and the jacket was like, 10 sizes too big, but I was so colossally happy. And hey,” he motioned to his jacket, “I grew into them both.”

Meena blinked. “That jacket and the skateboard are stolen?”

Johnny nodded. “Yeah, but…shh. Don’t worry, it was my dad who stole them, not me. I was like, 6.”

Meena chuckled.

“He’s uh, different now. A lot more supportive. He’s trying to be better now.” He paused and cleared his throat. “What about you?” Asked Johnny. “What’s your dad like?”

Meena was quiet for a moment before speaking. “He’s… Um…not with us….anymore.”

Johnny looked at her with empathy. “…oh….I’m sorry. I didn’t know.” He paused. “When?”

“I was 10.”

“If it’s any consolation, my mom died when I was little.” Johnny said.

Meena looked back up at him. “She did?”

“Yeah, but….I guess it’s worse for you. You probably actually have memories of your dad. I was only like, 2 when my mom passed. I barely remember her.”

Meena nodded. “You know what’s ironic?” She said, “He was a police officer.”

Johnny took a sip of coke. “Sounds like he’d get along with my dad perfectly.” He said sarcastically.

Meena stifled a laugh. “Yeah. I used to go with him to his office, he always had the coolest things, the coolest stories.” She paused. “You know, one time…”

And just like that, the two were chatting like they’d been best friends all their lives, telling stories and sharing memories of those loved and lost. They continued until Ash came back with Vincent, smiling and exhausted.

Then they goofed around, dancing and singing and telling terrible jokes into the late hours. All in all, a great night.

“That was awesome.” Ash said as they stepped outside. Everyone nodded their heads in agreement.

Johnny checked the time on his phone. “Dang, its late.” He said. He set down his skateboard. “I better go- god, Rosita is gonna kill me.” The others laughed. Johnny said goodbye to Ash and made sure to shoot Vincent one last glare before leaving.

“I should go too.” Meena said. “But I had a great time!” She said  goodbyes to Ash and also shot Vincent a glare before leaving.

“Uh…” Vincent said.

Ash turned to Vincent. “Well, that was fun! Glad you guys got along so well.”

“Well uhm-”

“C'mon!” Ash said, grabbing the other porcupine’s hand, “The nights not over yet!”

And they ran.

my advice for young incoming college students: it is way more important to do what you love and be ok than to be rich and do something you hate. as someone who used to be obsessed with being financially successful, i majored in a field i really did not like, and it took me 2.5 years to realize i should’ve just been studying what i wanted to study this whole time and now i have to start over. my aunt majored in finance, worked on wall street for five years, and then dropped everything to go to culinary school. my friend’s mom went back to school recently to become a yoga instructor. most people end up doing what they want to do anyway and it’s better to start down that path from the beginning than to sort it out during a mid-life crisis. either way, there is always potential to be wealthy in any field if you have the right drive, and that drives comes from passion 👊🏻

here it is… the long awaited coyotes primer! anyways this took me a million years for some reason and it still looks like garbage but I love my boys so much.

“She ran up to me, full speed, and I was saying to myself, ‘I’m not prepared for this’. I had my arms open for her to jump into but I could tell that this was it, these were my last breaths…”

You sat back in contentment, listening to Yoongi’s story about his dog while laughing along with Hoseok. The three of you sat in the practice room in the early morning, with the sun streaming in through the small windows at the top of the high walls. This had become a routine for you: leaving the house before anyone had even woken up, going to the practice room, and hanging out with Hoseok, Yoongi, and Jungkook before you all left for lectures. Today was especially nice, as although it was slightly chilly outside, the cherry blossoms were in full bloom and the sun shone brilliantly.

“…and I fell straight into the wet mud, the dog still going mad. The worst part of it all was I could hear my crush laughing with her friends. And do you know what I said to her, trying to rectify the situation? ‘I have weak knees’. Could’ve said anything, and I chose that. Holly was still having a great time, while I sat in a bog completely humiliated. Smelt like manure for days.”

Neither of you could stop laughing, clutching your sides with the pain of it all. At that moment, Jungkook tottered in, carrying a tray with four coffees on top, one for the each of you. Although you came there every morning to practice, Hoseok used the time wisely by having group gossip sessions, urging you to keep him completely up to date with everything going on with Taehyung. Seeing as Yoongi was usually barely awake and Jungkook always struggled to stop yawning, they didn’t mind slouching against the wall, sipping coffee and listening to your conversation.

Normally, there wasn’t much to say about Taehyung, as the last few weeks had passed by without any drama. It’d all gone back to normal after seafood night at his house, as Taehyung was asking every other day to hang out, especially whenever Yeji was busy or when he had any important news to tell you. You’d even studied together like you used to, which although didn’t involve a lot of talking, just having him as company always made you feel better. That feeling was difficult to explain, as you knew Taehyung was firmly taken and his relationship was going swimmingly with Yeji. But that feeling would not go away.

Looking at your watch and sighing, you said goodbye to the others and made your way to your first lecture.

“My roots are showing! I need you to re-dye it!” pleaded Taehyung, pulling at your shirtsleeve like a toddler asking for attention. “I’ve got a date tonight and I don’t want to be looking shabby.”

Sitting at Taehyung’s desk in his room, you swung your feet listlessly, pretending to not hear his whines. Biting the end of the pencil, you flicked a page of the textbook you were supposed to be revising from, but the boy still prodding your arm was slightly distracting.

“Pleeease,” he begged, dragging out the word. “It won’t take long.”

“Get Namjoon to do it.”

You continued peering at your Korean assignment, which was an analysis essay on a book that was currently hidden somewhere around the house - thanks to Taehyung. However, a head began obscuring your view as Taehyung leaned over your shoulder, and you tried your hardest to keep your expression blank as he smiled cheekily. With is hair no longer hanging over his forehead, you could clearly see his black hair showing beneath all the orange.

Head hanging upside-down, he said amusingly, “You look like my aunt from this angle.”

“Oh, shut up,” you grumbled, pushing his chest so he fell back onto his bed.

“Please do it for me. I’ll give you your book back?”

There was a moment of consideration where you wondered whether you could afford losing your book, just to wind up Taehyung, but then you thought better of it. “Orange again?” you asked, sighing heavily.

Taehyung bounced up from the bed, hugging you from behind and sticking his hair in your eyes, as if to prove a point about the colour. “Thanks, Y/N,” he murmured.

“Yeah, yeah.” You shrugged him off, but didn’t attempt to hide the pleased smile on your face.

So the process began again, wetting his hair and lathering in the orange dye, making sure to get into his roots. He trusted you to do this properly, you thought happily, and the fact that he wasn’t at the stage where he wanted Yeji to see his roots made you feel even better. Taehyung had really been trying to keep up-to-date with your life after you called him out for leaving you, so it was only fair that you should try just as hard with his interests, despite the jealousy that burnt your blood whenever Yeji’s name was mentioned.

It was hard, swallowing your pride and helping Taehyung look good for Yeji. Whenever Taehyung asked if it was okay that he left to see her, you always took a deep breath and said ‘go for it’. Although this had been going on for weeks, it didn’t get any easier. Despite being his best friend, you still had to take a backseat and let Yeji have top priority over Taehyung’s time. To distract yourself, you’d ring Jungkook for an extra practice session or you’d ask Namjoon if he wanted to go shopping or you’d hang out with Yoongi and Hoseok at Cake Corner, which Taehyung was now calling the cupcake shop. It worked every time, until you’d walk home and realise Yeji was probably kissing him that second, or that they might be cuddling on the couch together. Then the sadness would return.

Taehyung closed his eyes in relaxation as you massaged his scalp, a silly smile playing on his lips as he hummed a song. Precious moments like this, you thought to yourself, make all this bitterness and heartache worth it.

“Y/N,” Taehyung began, his eyes still shut, “did you do anything this morning?”

Your moved your hands slower, slightly confused by his question. “Do anything? Like what?”

“Oh, you know. You might have gone out, or something.” His voice was nonchalant and seemingly innocent, but you knew Taehyung well enough to understand that he was never innocent.

“Yeah, I met up with some friends of mine.”

“Friends, as in plural?”

Stopping the massaging completely, you lay your wrists on his shoulders and stared at his eyes in the mirror’s reflection. “What do you want to know, Tae?”

He shook his head, playing it off. “Nothing, don’t worry.”

Giving him a sideways glance, you finished up on the roots and whipped off your gloves, leaving Taehyung sitting on the stool in the bathroom so the dye could be absorbed. Just as you were about to leave, he added, “It’s just that Jungkook’s been going out early in the morning almost every day. I was just wondering whether he’d been meeting you.”

Something about the way Taehyung was talking brought up your defences, so your reply came out a little harsher than you intended as you span round to face him again. “Yeah, he has. Why, what’s wrong with that?”

Taehyung pursed his lips as his eyelids fluttered, looking slightly shocked at this new information. “Are you… seeing each other?”

“I just told you, I saw him this morning-”

“No, silly. Are you dating Jungkook?”

Taken aback, your mouth opened uselessly as Taehyung gawked at you, barely moving in his chair except for the slight movement of his chest as he breathed. What did he just say?

After you realised that he wasn’t going to explain his reasoning for his question, as he continued to stare blithely, you stuttered out, “No, no I’m not.”

“Good,” he nodded.

He paused, choosing his next words carefully. “I don’t want there to be any… miscommunications, like last time, you know? Those two weeks where you didn’t reply to me was hard, and I could barely sleep because of it. I want you to remember that you can tell me anything, Y/N. No more secrets.”

Leaving the bathroom with a heavy heart, you went downstairs to join the others, Taehyung’s words swimming around in your head. No more secrets. Although you knew that he was referring to your meetings with Jungkook, there was a bigger secret that plagued your mind. But you couldn’t tell him about that. Not now.

You weren’t even sure why you weren’t telling Taehyung about the dancing; it was either because you didn’t want him finding out about money problems or the fact that this was the first hobby you’d done without him. You loved Taehyung, in more ways than one, but dancing with Jungkook and watching Hoseok and Yoongi perform their piece distracted you from your troubles. It stopped you thinking about Taehyung.

However, you also found your mind deeply rooted in the other thing Taehyung had told you. Up until that point, you were unaware that he had found it difficult when you ignored him. As far as you were concerned, Taehyung was so infatuated with Yeji that he probably didn’t notice your lack of replies. When really, he couldn’t stop thinking about you.

“Taehyung going out with Yeji again?” Jin asked you softly, as you sat down meekly on the sofa next to him. There were definitely no secrets between you and Taehyung’s housemates, that’s for sure. When you nodded, he said, “You know, don’t feel like you can only come here to see Taehyung. You’re our friend now, and I think Namjoon wants you to help him keep Jungkook under control.”

Namjoon was currently sitting on Jungkook’s back as he calmly watched a programme on TV, stopping Jungkook’s outstretched hands from reaching the remote to change the channel. The younger boy lay flat out on the floor almost completely immobile, with only his head popping up occasionally so he could complain about crushed ribs.

“See you guys later!” Taehyung called, briefly walking past before disappearing out the door.

There was a chorus of goodbyes, but you all fell silent after he was gone. It wasn’t an uncomfortable silence, but there was something different about the atmosphere. It felt forlorn and dejected, as if everyone felt sympathy for what you were putting yourself through. Apparently, you weren’t the only one who noticed, as Jin spoke up.

“Right, I’ve had enough,” he said abruptly, causing Namjoon to slide off Jungkook’s back in alarm. “I can’t stand the pained look on Y/N’s face. You need to let yourself go tonight, and that’s not going to happen by staying at home and pining for that idiot Taehyung. No, you’re going out.”

“A-am I?” you faltered.

“Jungkook, go get ready. I’ll give you some money so you can go treat yourselves as a reward for how hard you’ve been working on your dancing. Y/N, stop looking at me like that. You need to have some fun, without Taehyung. Go on, get your shoes on. I’m taking you to the spring market.”

The whole drive to the market was a karaoke session, all three of you belting out the songs to whatever came on the radio. If none of you knew the song, Jungkook took his chance to announce that you were not going on a date.

“We’re just dance partners, having a night out,” he reminded you and Jin, idly fiddling with the volume on the stereo.

“Yeah, we understood the first seven times,” said Jin, laughing.

However, once Jin was gone and you two were alone, Jungkook relaxed and slung his arm over your shoulder, while talking about the market he always went to as a kid in Busan. Although you were worried that you weren’t going to have a good time, as you’d barely seen Jungkook outside the practice room or his house, you too found yourself getting excited once you saw all the lights and heard the music playing.

The spring market was an annual event held in your region of Seoul, celebrating the start of the academic year as well as the beginning of spring. Most of the stores sold food, ranging from traditional Korean dishes to a few international recipes that you recognised. Activities were set up along the streets to win prizes, and in the centre of the market was an outdoor cinema, with deck chairs set up in the grass ring. You could understand why Jungkook was so keen to establish that it wasn’t a date; the spring market was targeted towards couples. Flowers were sold at every stall, as well as plenty of chocolate, and everywhere you looked you could see people holding hands.

“White Day was over a month ago,” Jungkook complained, looking around at all the happy couples.

“Come on, grumpy boots,” you said, and pulled his arm towards the nearest stall selling tteokbokki. It was scary how quickly time had gone by, as it was now nearing the end of April, which meant you only had a month left until the dance competition. As this thought came into your head, you changed your mind about the food and moved to the next stall.

“Wait, I thought you wanted tteokbokki?” asked Jungkook. You were still holding onto his wrist, dragging him away from the tempting smell. “Why aren’t we getting any?”

“Because,” was all you replied. In the corner of your view, you could see Jungkook frowning, questioning your sudden decision, but you kept your focus diverted. His puppy dog eyes could rival Taehyung’s, so just one look would make you crumble.

“Is this to do with money?”

It was slightly unnerving how Jungkook could read you so easily. Although you didn’t respond, he spun on his heel and disappeared into the crowd. A few minutes later he returned, holding two portions of tteokbokki and chopsticks.

Handing you one, he said, “Tonight is the night to let go, okay? We’re going to win that dance competition and get you that money, I promise. Plus, this is Jin’s money we’re spending, so feel free to buy the biggest teddy bear you can find.”

You gave Jungkook a genuine smile in gratitude, before you both set off exploring the market. It was a warm night for April, so the two of you happily traipsed around, buying an unnecessary amount of food and failing miserably on the games to win prizes. Even though it wasn’t your usual film and pizza night, Jin was right: it took your mind off Taehyung. Jungkook was like him in many ways, but Jungkook was softer, gentler. But he was also more closed off. There was something about the boundaries he put up that made you wonder if you would ever get close to him. No matter how much you talked, you felt as if you didn’t know him at all.

With your mind distracted, you barely noticed that Jungkook had stopped walking until you almost bumped into his back. “Ahh, Jungkook! Why’d you stop? Aren’t we going to the refreshments stand?”

Jungkook stayed silent, but he grabbed your hand and pulled you around the side of a large tent, shielding you from the view of the main street. You now stood outside the main beam of lights, throwing you into the shade. You were… hiding?

“Jungkook, why are we behind the tent?” you whispered loudly, concerned about how tense he had become. His body was hunched over as he leaned his head around the corner, scanning the crowd, his hand still gripping onto yours tightly.

“Jungkook…” you began again.

“Taehyung’s here. With Yeji. And they’re close.”

“Why are we hiding?”

Jungkook turned to face you, no longer on the lookout. Although it was darker behind the tents, you could still make out the troubled look in his dark eyes. “Firstly, I don’t want to ruin their date. Secondly, you won’t have a good time if you keep seeing Taehyung.”

“He’s still my best friend,” you grumbled under your breath.

You felt Jungkook’s hand travel to your upper arm, which he squeezed in reassurance. “I know, but he’s not making you happy. You need someone to make you happy.”

Stepping round him, you copied his earlier movements and peered past the white canvas, immediately spotting Taehyung and Yeji sitting on a bench not far off, eating some sort of kebab. They were hip-to-hip, with Taehyung beaming in happiness at his girlfriend.

“Seeing him happy makes me happy,” you told Jungkook, as he hovered above you so he could have a look too.

He didn’t get to finish his sentence, as suddenly a strong body leapt into the side of Jungkook, almost causing you to fall over. Whipping your head round to find the source of the disturbance, you came face to face with a silver-haired boy that you knew all too well.

“Who are you spying on?” Jimin asked cheekily, craning his neck. “Ah, Taehyungie… and is that Im Yeji?”

“Yeah,” you sighed, before turning to Jungkook. “This is Park Jimin. He’s friends with Tae.”

“I can’t believe it,” Jimin muttered, ignoring the both of you. “She actually did it. I didn’t think she would, but she actually did it!”

“Did what?” you demanded.

Jimin tried to stop staring and turn to you, but his attention kept flicking back to the couple on the bench. “It was meant to be a joke, honestly,” he said shamefacedly. “I didn’t… are they actually a couple? Taehyung and Yeji?”

“Explain, Jimin.” You could feel your pulse rising as Jimin began stretching the back of his head in bewilderment. Whatever he was about to say did not sound good. Jungkook put his arm around your shoulder as if he could feel your unsettlement, the relaxed environment going sour.

“Promise you won’t get mad.”

“Jimin, seriously, spit it out. We’re missing out on the cinema, you know.”

He refused to speak for a few moments, his skin pale, but sure enough, he begun telling you a story. “Yeji fancied me, for the longest time,” he said, finally looking you in the eye. “The sort of crush that doesn’t go away, no matter how much you ignore it. She told me she loved me. But I wasn’t all that kind to her, and instead I laughed it off and told her to move on with her life. I was in a bad place, and I didn’t want anyone getting dragged into that. Let alone Im Yeji. She’s sweet, but she clings to people, and she just so happened to cling to me. So, I ignored the whole thing, for a while anyway, until she brought it up again just before we left for Seoul. Stupidly, I…”

Jimin paused, looking unsure whether to go on, but you gave him a hard look, indicating that he had no choice. Clearing his throat, he continued.

“Stupidly, I told her that she should date someone else. Obviously, she didn’t want to do that, but in the end I made a deal. I said… I said that if she were to go out with Taehyung for a few months, I would go out with her. It was a joke, I swear. But after that, she left me alone. I expected her to come back and tell me that she wouldn’t do it, she wouldn’t hurt Taehyung like that. If I’m honest, I forgot I even said it. But she’s actually dating Taehyung…”

“Why did you tell her to date Taehyung? Why would you hurt him?” you questioned, your voice beginning to tremble with rage.

“I needed her to move on from me so it was the first thing that came into my head, especially because Taehyung told me he liked her. It wasn’t serious! I even told her that she didn’t need to do it, and I would consider dating her later. Clearly, she didn’t listen.”

“This has got out of hand,” Jungkook said quietly and seriously.

“Perhaps they’re happy together, perhaps Yeji likes Taehyung too!” suggested Jimin, and simultaneously, all three of you looked over each other’s shoulders at Taehyung and Yeji.

For the first time, you noticed something. You’d been focusing on Taehyung’s grin for so long that you’d failed to look at Yeji’s, and with Jimin’s confession, you realised straightaway that Yeji’s smile was different. It wasn’t content and calm, nor was her body language. She sat tensely on the bench, her arms glued to her sides with a fake smile plastered on her lips. It was all forced. She wasn’t dating Taehyung for Taehyung.

She thought it would give her a chance with Jimin.

“Jimin, sort this out. Now.” It was difficult to restrain your anger, but a stone was lodged in your throat, the pain causing tears to stream down your cheeks. Your hands were locked together to stop you from lashing out. Yeji didn’t want to be with Taehyung… and Taehyung had no idea.

Jimin just backed away, also crying at his mistake. “I can’t, not right now, I’m not ready. If she comes back to me, I’ll just hurt her even more. I’m sorry.” Then he stumbled off into the dark.

You and Jungkook stood there for a few more minutes, not saying a word and just processing the events. Taehyung and Yeji had moved on and were no longer on the bench, but you didn’t feel inclined to follow. Jimin was an idiot, but you couldn’t believe that Yeji would be so thoughtless about Taehyung’s feelings. He was bound to get hurt one way or the other, and you couldn’t bear it.

“I want to go home,” you said to Jungkook, and then added, “alone.”

The walk was long and it started raining, but it didn’t matter. Having your heart broken by seeing Taehyung with someone else was manageable, but seeing his heart break was a whole other matter.
It would tear you apart.

I’m like six years late to the fandom but here’s some terrible Valentines from everyone’s favorite Roman LARPers

One Rule

so sorry it took so long, i had like 5 ideas for this, and constantly was changing it, and then college blows and then personal shit too, but finally an imagine that was requested like 5000 years ago. So sorry, I hope you like it.

I was beyond excited for spring break. I was ecstatic to be going to the lake with everyone for the week. I really needed this little vacation, and what better way than a week away with my best friends. Sammy had just texted me and told me that they were outside waiting for me, so I finished checking my bags and headed out the door to see my favorite idiots all in the car.

There was G who was driving and Johnson was in the passenger seat. Then there was Emily, Sammy, Skate and Swazz all hanging out the back seat window. I laughed at the sight and managed to squeeze my bags in the trunk and hop in, being squished in the back with all our bags and Swazz.

As soon as everyone was situated, we were headed off to the lake, only a short 7 hour car ride. How bad could it be?

Let me tell you, it was terrible. Johnson and Sammy kept fighting over the aux cord. I had to watch Skate strike out with Emily like the whole ride there, and Swazz was high as hell and could barely comprehend what was going on, although I loved my dopey Swazz. G was mostly quiet, and I would always catch him looking in the rear view mirror at me and smiling.

So, I’d be lying if I said I didn’t have a thing for G. We have this weird sort of relationship, we’re a little more than best friends, but less than lovers. We would constantly flirt, but that’s as far as it ever went. Playful flirting.

It started when I started to hang out with the guys more. I was closest with Swazz out of all of them. I met him for the first time ever when I was at the gas station in a shady part of town at like 2 in the morning and some perv came up and tried to get me to leave with him. Swazz walked out of the gas station and walked over to me, throwing his arm around my waist and kissing my forehead and saying ‘sorry babe, they were all out of skittles’ and placing a pack of m&m’s in my hand and then looking at the guy, who’s eyes went wide and then resulted in him leaving.

So I thanked Swazz, and we started talking more and more and just really hit it off. I told him how thankful I was for him saving my life and then we just started to hang out after that. And then he introduced me to his friends, quickly hit it off with all of them and then I was in a group message with all of them. But that was like a year ago, and here we are now. I’m just glad Emily was here too. I couldn’t handle all these boys for a week straight, plus she was my best friend.

We finally arrived after a long 8 hour trip, if you count all the stops we made at gas stations. It was beautiful. Very private. There were only like 5 cabins around the lake, so they were spaced out quite a bit. The cabin was huge, but only had 4 rooms, so mostly all of us had to double us.

But we didn’t wanna be like, hey you’re rooming by yourself, so we drew numbers. It was 1-4, but only 1-3 had two sets of numbers.

Johnson picked 4, Swazz and Sammy had 1, Emily and Nate had 2, which left G and I both with the number 3.

“looks like you’re my roomie for the week.” I playfully bumped into him.

“looks like it.” He smiled down at me, throwing his arm around me.

“well, my room is right next yours, so please, I don’t wanna hear you have sex.” Sammy laughed, along with everyone else. I was gonna say something like ‘we’re not’ or ‘it’s not like that’ but Jack spoke before I could.

“hey bud, I make no promises.” Which caused everyone to laugh.

We headed up to our room and it was beautiful. There was a king size bed in the middle of the room, along with a door leading to an outside balcony. There was a tv up on the wall across from the bed, and then two dressers, along with our own private bathroom.

“so, which side of the bed do you want?” G asked as I drug my bags into the room and threw them on the bed.

“uh, I guess I’ll take the right side, if that’s okay. It doesn’t really matter to me though.”

“no that’s fine. I prefer the left side anyway.”

“so what if I said I wanted the left side?” I asked, grabbing some clothes from one of my bags and putting it in a drawer.

“well, looks like I would have been joining you then.” He shot me a wink. He’s literally going to kill me this week I swear.

Jack and I joked around some more as we finished unpacking. When we were finally done it was like 9 at night. And having been so wrapped up in school for the past 3 months, I was exhausted.

“you coming down?” he asked, heading towards the door.

“I’m actually gonna shower and probably get into bed. It’s been a rough past few weeks.”

“alright, I’ll be up soon then I guess, just gonna go grab something to eat and chill with the guys for a bit.”

“okay.” I smiled, and he was gone. I got my shit to shower and quickly made my way into the bathroom. Removing my makeup and conditioning my hair as I shaved, I was out in 20 minutes. I threw on a pair of sweats and a white tank top.

I walked out into the room, crawled in on the right side and turned on the tv. Soon I fell asleep to the sound of Nick Cannon wild-n-out.

I woke up the next morning feeling really groggy. I reached up and rubbed my eyes before everything became clear. I stretched, and heard Jack groan next to me. I turned my head to see that Jack and I were spooning. When we realized our position, we quickly, and awkwardly, separated. I jumped out of the bed and Jack got up as well, clad in nothing but his boxers.

I couldn’t help but look at his chiseled chest, and then my eyes fell to the tent in his boxers. I felt myself rubbing my legs together, trying to get friction, just from looking at him.

“um, I’m sorry.” He said, reaching up and scratching the back of his neck, a nervous habit I’ve noticed he had.

“no it’s uh, it’s okay, you said the left side was yours.” I said, twiddling my thumbs, a nervous habit I had developed.

“no it’s alright. I’d never admit this in front of the guys, but I’m a hardcore cuddler.” He laughed.

“oh? So the boys don’t know?” I asked with a smirk on my face.

“yeah, and don’t you d-“ he started but he cut himself off as I went for the door, chasing after me. I ran out the door of our room and down the hall, but G was behind me by just a few steps.

I heard everyone downstairs, so I was running down the stairs, trying to make my way into the living room so I could tell everyone. I stopped in the living room and called out.

“guys you’ll nev-“ but I was cut off by Jack running and engulfing me in his arms and like tackling me to the floor, as gentle as a tackle could get. He had me pinned down, my hands above my head, as he straddled me basically. I was out of breath though, and laughing trying to tell the guys.

“guys” I laughed out, as Jack started to tickle me.

“don’t you dare” he smiled down at me.

“Jack’s a-“ but he cut me off, but placing his hand over my mouth.

By now, everyone had walked into the living room and was watching us.

“don’t.” he said sternly, looking at me. I nodded my head and Jack got off me and stood up, taking my hand and pulling me up. I smiled innocently and turned to look at everyone.

“Jack loves c-“ but I was cut off by Jack from behind me throwing his hand over my mouth and pulling me into him. Everyone was looking at us like we were crazy.

“what the hell is going on?” Sammy laughed.

“nothing. She was just gonna say Jack loves cookies. Ignore her.” He smiled. “We’ll be back down in a second.” He spoke again, before turning us and walking back to our room. When we got to the top of the stairs he let go of my mouth.

“JACK’S A HARDCORE CUDDLER!” I screamed, and I heard Jack groan as I ran towards the room we were sharing, as he chased after me. And then he tackled me onto our bed. I was laughing like crazy.

We stared at each other, as he hovered over me, holding my hands above my head again. His face was close, and I just really got lost in it. His eyes were glistening, shimmering actually, a nice brown/hazel color. They were mesmerizing. And then his jawline. I watched as it clenched in our close proximity. His jaw line literally gave me life. And then I looked at his lips. God they were perfect. And I wanted nothing more than to know how they would feel to be against mine.

Jack must have thought the same thing cause in a matter of seconds, his lips were on mine. I wanna say it was totally unexpected, but I’ve always wanted to feel his lips on mine, but the fact that it actually happened completely shocked me.

He pulled up and looked at me wide eyed, and I’m sure I mirrored his expression. He stood up and I quickly jumped up off the bed.

“(y/n)” he said, looking at me.

But I freaked. I just ran out the door and down the hall, down the stairs and then out the front door. I couldn’t deal with this right now. See, I’m the type of person who runs away from my problems. And I don’t do feelings very well. I’ll flirt like crazy, but then when something actually happens, like a fucking kiss, I freak out. And then I end up pushing the person away.

I started out walking along the edge of the lake. And then I sat out on the dock, thinking about everything. I mean, would Jack and I even be a bad thing? I mean, he’s nice, and he’s cute, and he’s funny, and he makes me laugh and smile, but like what if he ends up cheating or something. I don’t wanna lose all my friends if we break up or something. Maybe I’m just completely over thinking it all. Jack probably doesn’t even like me. It was probably a ‘in the moment’ thing.

So after 3 hours of sitting out on the dock and thinking about shit, I decided to head back. I could go back and talk to Em about it or something. But when I got up to the house, Emily was gone out with Nate.

I sighed and headed up to my room, only to find Jack on the bed, I sighed and went to turn around and leave.

“(y/n)” his voice was soft.

“Jack.” I sighed, reaching for the door handle to leave. I couldn’t do this.

“no (y/n) listen.” He said, grabbing my arm and pulling me back, flush to his chest.

“Jack let me go.” I said, annoyed, and started wiggling in his grip, but he just grabbed me tighter.

“Jack” I groaned, finally getting out of his grip with a huff and sitting on the bed.

“(y/n) I like you. A lot.”

“okay.” I said.

“is that all you have to say?”

“yeah, can I leave now?” I rolled my eyes.

I always got like this. I always would push the guys away after I got feelings and something happened that would make me more attached. It just always happened.

“no. You can’t tell me you don’t feel anything.” He sighed, defeated tone as he got on the bed next to me.

“Jack.” I said, fiddling with my thumbs.

“look at me and tell me honestly that you don’t feel something for me.”

I stayed silent, fiddling with my hands in my lap. Jack’s hand came and cupped my cheek, making me face him and actually look at him. His eyes sympathetic and hopeful.

“I-I can’t.” I sighed, closing my eyes.

“exactly!” he cheered.

“Jack, I can’t do this. I don’t wanna get hurt. I don’t want our friendship to get messed up. I don’t wanna lose you.” I whined.

“stop (y/n).” he said, gently stroking my cheek with his thumb before talking again. “stop overthinking this. I’m not gonna hurt you.”

“you don’t kn-“ but I was cut off by his lips on mine. But instead of like the first time, I kissed him back. It wasn’t what I expected at all. It was so much better than what I thought it’d be.

I soon got lost in the moment, and moved so I was straddling his lap. His hands were down on my butt, and mine on his shoulders. I started grinding on him, which caused him to let out a low groan. Things were getting hot, no doubt.

I reached for the bottom of his shirt and started tugging on it.

“(y/n)” Jack breathed out, pulling back and looking at me.

“what?” I groaned.

“I don’t want just sex. I’m serious. I like you a lot.”

“Jack.” I groaned, rolling off him and plopping on the bed, staring up at the ceiling.

“no listen.” He kinda chuckled, throwing his arm around me and snuggling up with me. “I’d love nothing more than to fuck you senseless right here and right now. Trust me. I’ve thought about it hundreds of times, but I don’t want this to be just sex. I really do like you a lot. And I know you. You don’t do feelings well, but I’m not gonna let you push me away on this.”

“I do feelings” I whined. “I just don’t like when people are all up in my feelings, and asking about all my personal shit and making it a big deal.”

“then well see how this week goes for us, keep it lowkey? And when we get back I’ll officially take you out on our first real date.”

“fine.” I groaned, rolling my eyes and rolling off his lap, which caused Jack to whine. He pouted and looked at me and then pointed at his lips. I laughed and leaned over and pecked them lightly.

“we should probably get ready for dinner, Emily said she was gonna make something.” Jack said as he had me wrapped up in his arms.

“yeah, probably.” I sighed, getting up and shuffling through my drawers for an outfit. I felt Jacks hands slip around my waist.

“Jack.” I laughed “I have to figure out an outfit.”

“I know, I just like being able to finally hold you in my arms” and then he kissed me “and kiss you.”

“alright cheeseball, let me find an outfit.” I said, prying out of his arms.

I picked out a pair of jean shorts and then found a nice black tank top. I turned and saw Jack in just a tee shirt and a pair of jeans. Jack smiled at me and wrapped his arms around me in a big bear hug.

“can we take a picture?” he asked, kissing my forehead.

We took a few pictures and then went down to dinner. Sliding into our spots at the table, sitting next to one another, and Jack played footsie with me the whole night. I couldn’t help but smile sideways at him. He was being so dorky, it was adorable.

It’s been about 4 days at the lake, and we only have about 3 days left. It’s been really relaxing and so great to just spend time with all my friends. Jack and I have also gotten a lot closer, and a lot more like the couples I often see out on the street and out on dates. Ya know, the kind you see and you just wanna punch them for being so lovey.

It was currently like Thursday night, and we were out by the fire, drinking. Em and I were dancing around, already having a slight buzz. We were feeling good, and Jack looked so hot. So I couldn’t help but chug the rest of my drink and make my way over to Jack, who was sitting around the fire talking to Sammy.

I waltzed right over and sat on Jack’s lap, which took him completely by surprise, and Sammy too. I smiled at both of them and then snuggled into Jack, who wrapped his arms around me.

“what’s going on here?” he laughed, high clearly.

“uh-“ Jack started but I cut him off. I turned and placed my lips on his, and pulled back and giggled.

“I like Jack.” I smiled proudly.

Sammy laughed “Swazz, I told you they’d hook up before the trip was over.”

“hey, we haven’t hooked up.” I defended as Swazz joined our conversation.

“Please don’t, cause I’ll owe Sammy $100 if you two do.”

“how do we know you haven’t already?” Sammy asked.

“oh trust me, you’ll know.” Jack laughed, kissing my neck.

The night went on and soon it was 1 in the morning, and I wanted Jack. So Jack and I stumbled up into our room, giggling as he carried me over to the bed, his lips on mine, before stumbling and tripping, us crashing onto the bed.

I was on top of him, and he was laying back, his hands on my ass as we sloppily made out. He slid his hands up to my shirt and started tugging at it. I smiled into the kiss and sat up, peeling my shirt off, leaving me in just my bra and shorts. I had just threw my shirt to the floor when Jack grabbed my hips and flipped us, so we were not laying in the middle of the king size bed and he was over top of me.

It didn’t take long for all our clothes to be shed and he was eating me out. I was a moaning mess. My hands were in his hair, pulling on it, causing him to let out low groans, vibrating my core, which made my back arch and me moan out his name.

“god baby, you’re so hot.” He spoke, his voice raspy.

“Jack please.” I whined. I needed this.

Jack sat up and looked in my eyes and smiled before coming down and kissing my lips. I sighed into the kiss, completely happy with this, and then I felt him teasing me with his tip. I whined, bucking my hips up, begging for more.

“hold on.” He whispered, crawling off me, leaving me all hot and flustered. I watched as he dug around in his suitcase and pulled out a condom, smiling at me as he ripped it open and slid it on. I finally saw his size and I swear I came right there and then.

Jack crawled back on top of me and started kissing my neck as I felt his tip slowly slide in. Both of us moaned as he filled me up, and then when I had adjusted to his size he kissed my lips and started thrusting in and out. Slow at first, but then he picked up his pace. I was moaning and the sound of our skin slapping together started to fill the room.

Jack pulled out, which totally confused me, cause I knew he didn’t cum yet, so I looked at him and he smiled.

“ride me babygirl.”

And in a second I was hovering over him, slowly easing down onto him. We both let out a long moan as the feeling, and soon I was bouncing up and down on Jack. His hands found their way to my ass and then he held me up as he started to slam up into me, the sound of his balls slapping my ass filling the room along with my moans.

“oh god.” I moaned out, throwing my head back.

“fuck.” He groaned “you’re so hot babe, I’m almost there.” He grunted.

“Jack. I-I’m clo-“

“shh, I know baby. Just hold on for me okay?”

He pulled out again and repositioned so we were doggy-style. My face was in the pillows as Jack just slammed into me, causing me to scream out. His hands on my hips to rock them back and forth, to meet his thrusts. Both of us were moaning, the sound of our skin slapping together, and the sound of his dick sliding in and out of my wet folds filled the room, and the headboard slamming against the wall.

“fuck Jack.” I cried out as I came, no warning.

I was shaking as Jack rode out my high but also tried to reach his. A few thrusts later I felt him cum and he let out the hottest moan that I swear could have made me cum again. He rode out his high and then finally pulled out, removing the condom, and getting up to dispose of it in the bathroom. He walked back out and jumped into bed, pulling me into his chest.

“that was great.”

“yeah.” I panted, feeling super tired.

“sweet dreams babygirl.”

I woke up the next morning and remembered everything about last night. It was great, but I really did wanna try to wait for that with Jack. But it happened, and I don’t regret it. It was great. I heard Jack groan next to me and I smiled as he pulled me in tighter to him.

“Jack.” I giggled as he started to kiss my bare shoulders.

“babe.” His morning voice, good god.

“I wasn’t really expecting that but I mean, if you’re offering.” He started, and then let go of me and laid straight on his back. I turned and looked at him and saw him adjusting himself down there and I laughed.

“I didn’t mean that idiot. I meant like pancakes and waffles breakfast.” I giggled, laying on his chest and kissing his lips.

“oh right, let’s go.”

We got dressed, which took a little longer than expected because someone couldn’t keep his hands to himself. When we finally made it downstairs, I walked a little slower than Jack of course, who couldn’t help but laugh at me.

We finally sat down and started breakfast and it was…awkward. Something was up. Conversations seemed forced and I was worried something was wrong.

But Sammy finally cleared it all up.

“my one fucking rule guys. I didn’t wanna hear you.” And he looked straight at us. Jack sported a proud grin and I blushed so hard I had to look down at my lap as everyone erupted into laughter.

I love my idiot friends.

I suppose it’s time for another inspirational post, left is me four years ago at my son’s first birthday, I was 220 pounds (and 5'8") at my heaviest and extremely unhappy with myself. I didn’t like dressing myself, I didn’t like wearing makeup, I didn’t like ME. So I started eating less, I cut out all juice and sugary drinks for a short mount of time but mostly just stuck with smaller portions. It was REALLY tough, sometimes I felt like I was starving all day long, I had no energy, but I took vitamins and made sure the food that I DID eat was nutrient rich and not just filler. It’s not anorexia, you can go see a nutritionist and you’ll see how our portions are comically huge at most restaurants. I’m 126 pounds now, I have a spring in my step, I LOVE dressing my body, I feel sexy and I’m pursuing my dream of doing alt model photography after two kids and over 30. Don’t let anyone tell you it can’t be done, find your secret and stick with it, you’ll thank yourself later 🖤

Another Valentine’s Day has come and gone, and I have an Arlert to show for it.
(it looks like he’s giving a gift to his bae, but actually the book is his bae and he is showing it off)

2016 Stormer Survey

Hello there stormers!

Wild World has been out and about for a while now and both old and new fans have been enjoying it. 2016 has been a big year for the guys and this fandom, so with the new year approaching, I thought it would be a fun idea to get to know a bit more about the Stormer fandom and the experiences we’ve had with this band.

Soooo, I’ve created a survey with around 20 questions about Bastille and this fandom.I don’t think it will take you that long to answer all of the questions, and it would mean so much to me if you took 5 minutes out of your day to answer them. You don’t have to registrate or anything like that, all you have to do is click the link below and answer the questions. It’s anonymous and I won’t know who’s answered what. It’s really easy, trust me.

Here’s the link:

I hope that many of you want to participate in this. Please share and spread this with all of the stormers you know so that we can get good results. Also, make sure to answer the questions honestly, in that way the reults will be as correct as possible.

I’ll be announcing the results here a few days into January. (this won’t happen if the survey gets less than 20 answers though, so please make sure to participate)

Okay I think that’s everything for now. If you have any questions, please leave an ask or message me on here and I’ll do my best to answer. I hope everyone is having a good time over the holidays and happy new year to all of you!!

“it’s gonna be okay”

My grandma was really young. She had my mom at 18, my mom had me at 17/18. She fought stage 4 metastatic colon cancer for 6.5 years. She knew she’d only have about 6 years, but never told any of the family. We all would be overjoyed when she was told she was in remission, then another spot would pop back up. She was like my mom. She took a big downward spiral summer 2016. Late July, that was the end. We put her in hospice care where she was only awake for a few days before falling asleep. The Friday night before she passed, July 29, her youngest daughters birthday. My aunt and I were sitting with her and she woke up. We called my grandpa and her youngest daughter. We called her mom and one of her brothers. That was the last time we’d ever see her awake. That night she saw me start to cry and she hugged me and said this last thing to me. August 1st, around 6 am, she slipped away. I miss her so much. She was so beautiful and loving. People from all over that had never even met her, but had talked to her in the past came to her funeral. It’s the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do.

Worth while. Spencer x reader

Prompt: “There’s no way I could leave before telling you..”

A/n this takes place after Spencer was abducted in s2e15 “Revelations”

I heard the door slam across the hall. My best friend Spencer lived across the hall from me, and 2 days ago Morgan called me to tell me Spence had gone missing. It makes me feel awful to admit this, but at first I wasn’t really that worried. I guess for the 5 years I’ve known Spence he always kind of seemed like he knew everything and could accomplish anything. He had 3 P.h.d’s and was in the FBI for god’s sake. So it’s not really that I didn’t believe Morgan when he told me Spencer had been abducted, it was just I figured the invincible Spencer Reid could best any opponent. I was still worried to some extent though, to the point I took off work because I knew I couldn’t be productive. All I could think about was Spencer. It was earlier today the panic set in. It became real to me when the team hadn’t wrapped up the case nicely, had a pep talk on the way back, and returned Spencer to me. He wasn’t here. I wanted him here. What if he never came back here? What if he was dead right now? I sat on my couch for hours retreated into my own twisted, fabricated realities full of heartbreak. So you can imagine, when I heard the door across the hall open and then slam I jumped up and almost tripped over my own feet trying to get to him as fast as I could. I left my door hanging open in the hurry. I knocked on his door hard and fast. Nothing.
“Spencer ple-” I was cut off by the door ripping open and Spencer engulfing me in a hug. His hands were clasped tightly around my waist, like he was holding onto me for dear life. I heard sniffles and soon realized he was crying. I felt my heart breaking and wrapped my arms around his neck. I nuzzled my face into the crook of his neck and felt his body shake as silent years rolled down my own face. It was immensly sad but it made me angry at the same time. Who in the world do this to him? My beautiful, brilliant, compassionate Spencer, who gave his life to helping others. My shoulder was wet with his tears and I could tell he wasn’t finished. I tentatively pulled away, trying to look him in the eyes. I instantly regretted it. I could see the suffering in them. His now bloodshot eyes were usually full of vigor and life by all I saw in them now was brokenness. I took his hand and placed a gentle kiss on his knuckles; showing him my sympathies and sorrows. Not letting go of his hand I led him inside and softly closed the door behind us. We sat on the couch, me curled up in a ball next to his body which curled around me. This time my arms were around his waist. His head rested on too of mine. I let him soak my hair with tears and I soaked his arm with mine. I wanted to say something but I was afraid to speak. After a few minutes I took a breath and cautiously said,
“Spencer? You’re safe now. You’re with me and I love you and I always will.”
This proceeded to make him hold me tighter. He seemed to be steadying his breath, preparing to speak.
“I-I know you do. You know, that’s what kept me alive. I thought if I…If I never got to tel-….if I never got to see you again that I might never forgive myself. I c-couldn’t bear the thought of doing that to you.” You were speechless…
“Spencer..I’m so proud of you. You have no idea how happy I am you’re back.”
“Y/n? Do you know what I had to tell you? I-I couldn’t leave before telling you..”
With that a tear fell down his cheek and he swiftly moved his head to connect his lips to mine.

Whoa. Whoa. Whoa. Hold up just a second. I felt my body freeze but I was way to confused to respond. Spencer. My best friend, the most accomplished person I know, a man I’ve loved as a friend for years, also a man I’ve loved not as friends for a year, was kissing me. Right now. Well, not now. I felt him pull awayafter I tensed up.
“I-I’m so sorry I shouldn’t ha-”
He kept talking but all I saw were his lips moving. His lips. The ones that were just on mine. That was nice. I leaned in and my lips were on his, but this time it was a breathraking, engulfing, heart-melting kind of kiss. The kind that melded into a kiss that was passionate and needy. With me straddling his lap, our tongues battling for dominance, and heavy breathing. I started to realize he was clearly exhausted, physically and emotionally. So I lessened the kiss and pulled away. He leaned his forhead against mine and I looked into his eyes. They seemed much less broken than they had before. It gave me hope. I whispered, “Spencer I love you. Not like a friend, well, like a friend but also…” he cut me off,
“I know. I love you.”
A tear fell down his cheek. I grabbed his hand and led him to his bathroom. He had just gotten back from the bureau and hadnt showered yet. Wordlessly, I started a hot shower and he stripped. I eyed him the whole time, enjoying it immensely. He caught me staring and chuckled.
“C'mon, I didn’t forget how to shower.”
I quickly took off my shirt and responded,
“I never said you did.”
I finished getting undressed and I took his hand again and we stepped under the stream of water. We didn’t do anything really sexual, I just washed his hair for him, massaging his scalp trying to calm him. When he was all washed, we kissed for a while. His tongue pushed into my mouth, earning dominance. My hands, which previously rested on his lower back traveled around his ribs, to the front of his chest where I felt his muscles. His mouth traveled to my neck nipping and sucking on all the right places. My hands continued upwards toward his hair where my fingers tangled into the sopping mess of hair. I felt his hands move down from the sides of my face to my breasts, kneading and massaging them. I felt him chuckle into the kiss and whispered
“You are so beautiful.”

After about 40 minutes the water had turned cold and we stepped out. He turned to me once we were both wrapped up in towels and softly said
“I love you.” for the 2nd time that day.
I smiled and he spoke again.

“Not having told you that is the reason I survived. Thank you for making it worth while.”

“Okay, I’ll tell you everything.” Steve nodded.

You took a seat on the long sofa, Bucky sat next to you and put a gentle hand at the small of your back. Steve sat down on the opposite sofa, he cleared his throat before he began.

“I only know what Natasha and Sam told me. They said you stayed with me even after the serum wore out.” He raised his gaze to meet yours. “You saw me the way I used to be.”

You nodded slowly, your mind threatening to relive the painful moment you lost Steve. All the muscles in your body were rigid as you anxiously waited for him to continue.

“According to Ross, Erskine’s serum is their most valuable asset. Their last chance at recreating a formula would die with me. It doesn’t help that I signed legal documents donating my body to science.”

This is the difference that 3 years, a loving relationship and a renewed dedication to my health looks like! In the first picture I was 21, and weighed 248 pounds. I am 5 foot 2, and while my blood pressure/sugar was abnormally normal for my size and weight I was dangerously close to hypertension and open-sore lesions on my feet and legs due to diminished circulation.

The second picture I took just now, at 25 years old and 188 pounds. I have extra skin, and I will never have a tight tummy, but I know that this body is healthier and I can love it no matter what it looks like, because it is me. The only me I have.
