I played Andromeda before I played the ME original trilogy, and I must say: even though I don’t hate Andromeda, I can understand the massive disappointment people have in the quality of writing between the games.
I’ve played through one, and finished one playthrough of two (playing it again because it is so damn good.) and I have found that there is a very distinct tone to them. A serious tone. Compare this to Andromeda, where it’s very happy, carefree, and many aspects and parts of the game have a kind of fun, road trip kind of vibe, when the entire point of the plot is to find a new home. It’s a big deal, but when characters are seemingly always in this constant carefree state with only a few exceptions, it got to the point where I wondered if I should even take this mission seriously, even though the game clearly wants me too. And I’m not saying the game should be devoid of carefree, jokey moments. (Movie night was one of the best scenes in Andromeda,) but I believe the overall tone of Andromeda was too jokey and comical when it really shouldn’t have been. This is even carried over to the way the Ryders are voiced. I played a female Ryder so I can’t speak as well for Scott, but when Shepard talks, you take them seriously because both actors for Shepard are not only great, but there is weight to what they are saying. I don’t get that with Ryder.
Basically, in the original trilogy, as I am going through the story, I know that things matter. I didn’t get that feeling in Andromeda, the feeling that I was doing something important. I felt like I was on a roadtrip. Things needed to matter. and I’m not sure they did.
1️⃣Cleansing towels: It’s important to put clean things in ur skin so having lots of cleansing towels is a more hygienic option then using one towel over and over again.
2️⃣Metal face massager: Metal under eye rollers r used to apply eye cream as they depuff our skin. Having a cold metal face massager is good as it promotes blood circulation and relaxes our skin making it healthier.
3️⃣Humidifier: This is great as it opens up our pores so any product can seep into our skin and it draws toxins and dirt out. I believe it is worth the money.
4️⃣Cleansing Brushes: It is important to have gentle cleansing brushes. I prefer the silicone or sponge ones as they r more gentle. They r really good for exfoliating.
5️⃣Silk pillow case: This is a bit pricy but it maintains the quality of our skin. Unhygienic and rough pillow cases damage our skin and causes breakout so sleeping in a soft silk pillow cover will be gentle on ur skin.
At least people have valid reasons to dislike Home for the Holidays. Its pretty refreshing after Liam/Drake stan wars.
People have every right to continue to ask for respresentation and you cant help having people complain about the same old cookie cutter shit that half the stories have.
I frankly wouldnt care how great the story is I just want something… new. We got ITLIW yay, but now I believe people that its ending soon. Sure Home for the Holidays is likely an obvious short but the pattern is, really good short story, a few longer over played, over sone stories.
I could think of like a ton of ways to make this story not the same old shit, but fact of the matter is, that it is. Things get repetitive. And it brings us back to that quality over quantity. Maybe not everyone is going to get bored, but some people are.
I feel like Evoland 2 is too good to be true. This is the literal first time I've looked at your art and its amazing and now this game trailer is showing me a masterfully done action, rpg, adventure, fighting, puzzle, arcade DREAM???? Is this real????
IT IS REAL !!! Play it play it ! There’s our blood sweat and tears in it, and I swear it tastes really good
Evoland II was a very ambitious and complicated project for the small team we were back then. When I look back at it I’m still super proud of the quality we’ve been able to put in it .
If you try it I’d be glad to hear what you thought !
