and in any situation

anonymous asked:

"why haven't jared and jensen spoken out about charlottesville? that's not cool :(" expecting everyone at any time to be able to comment to politic situation just because they're actors is not cool, too

would I be happy if they did? yes. But what is more important than 140 characters on social media is how they live their lives and who they are.

i’d like to reiterate that the posts i made regarding the TAZ comic design finalizations & the nick robinson shit were…unabashedly terrible posts that were poking fun at pretty serious situations. my apology for the former was especially pretty half-felt and unrelated…..so again, I am sorry for trivializing situations of antisemitism & harassment and the not-genuine-sounding follow ups. truly do regret them.

and on the same note since apparently I gotta say this lmfao, messaging & harassing people on my behest is fucking ridiculous, ESPECIALLY over these two instances. any apprehensions someone might have after those two situations are pretty deserved apprehensions y'all I was bein a cunt!! let’s all grow up a little.

Kuroshitsuji 131

Evil Twin?

In wake of 2CT becoming a reality (finally), I’ve been struggling to figure out the relationship between real!Ciel and our!Ciel. How pissed is real!Ciel at his brother right now, and what exactly happened to sour their relationship? Shouldn’t our!Ciel be a bit less terrified since his dear big brother always seemed so loving in the flashbacks? Or maybe not. What if real!Ciel harbored a hidden resentment for his little brother all along? This page in ch. 131 is awfully ominous

Bear with me because I may be grasping straws, but let’s take a look at everyone’s reaction to our!Ciel’s newest coughing fit:

As expected, mom and dad look pretty worried, and Tanaka (despite the missing eyeball) is clearly concerned, but…

…perhaps it’s just me, but real!Ciel doesn’t seem to be giving any fucks about this situation. What little we see of his face is apathetic at best. Then again, it’s not even a full half of his face, so what do I know? ..But what the heck is this:

In case the quality sucks, that is a sound effect for grinding teeth. our!Ciel is frustrated perhaps about missing the family outing? Or not, since it is not our!Ciel, but rather real!Ciel in this ambiguous partial shot.

This sad little puppy is our!Ciel. The difference is in the hair. In two panels Ciel has a small detail in his hair where the bangs between his eyes have two locks swept to the right with a thinner lock in front going left. Yet that partial shot clearly reverses this pattern even though it comes directly before this panel. It could be a consistency error, or it’s a glimpse of real!Ciel not being the ball of sunshine the flashbacks imply he is.

What reason could real!Ciel have for being angry in this scene? (And grinding teeth clearly imply anger, not brotherly concern.) It could be disappointment at the threat to the outing he was looking forward to. Or it could be because our!Ciel is being fawned by everyone else. There is no sign of anger after real!Ciel excuses himself from the trip. What little we know about real!Ciel is that he is a people person. He loves being the exuberant center of attention, perhaps even at the cost of his brother.

I’m getting into the realm of baseless speculation now, but what if real!Ciel liked the fact that his brother was sickly and shy. Not only did that eliminate any rivalry between the two, but it also guaranteed him all of our!Ciel’s attention and adoration. our!Ciel thought the world of his brother at one point, and I wouldn’t put it past real!Ciel to have manipulated that with feigned kindness (it wasn’t like our!Ciel had anyone else to play with besides Tanaka).I’m also a bit suspicious of that ‘warm milk’ that real!Ciel told our!Ciel to keep a secret the night before. It’s probably nothing, but Yana plays a long game, so who knows what’ll matter twenty chapters down the line.

All I know now is that our!Ciel has been reunited with his twin who may or may not (though probably will) be emotionally and psychologically manipulating him in the next couple chapters.

Hey girl love your blog but have a question I recently started dating someone my age but they are so broke just like me. Despite knowing I myself am always broke he will always expect me to pay for everything we do/eat and like never pays for anything and he wants us to live together but honestly I don't feel like I can afford it. Any advice or is it an obvious dump him situation? Thanks

I would tell him to get lost if he was making me pay for everything wtf! Me and my man always go halfs on things we pay for. Relationship has got to be a two way thing! Or talk to him and say you can’t afford to keep paying so you have to start coughing up too

☀️Solar Charged☀️

A Simple Spell For When You Feel Drained

You will need:
☀️yourself
☀️the sun (even if it’s a cloudy day!)

Optional:
☀️lemon-ginger tea (or tea of your choice.)
☀️a small rock of your choice (quartz or sunstone are good if you work with crystals, otherwise any rock you find pleasing will do!)

1. Situate yourself outside, or near a window. Close your eyes and place your hands- palms up- on your lap.

2. Feel the sun’s warmth on your palms, your hands, your skin. Visualize the warmth as energy, and absorb it! You can think of yourself as a solar panel if you’d like: collecting the sun’s energy!
☀️Optional step: hold your stone in one hand, and allow it to soak up the sun’s energy, as a back-up battery of sorts.

3. Collect the energy until you feel recharged! When you are filled to the brim, open your eyes and smile at the sun in thanks.
☀️Optional step: Drink your tea to refresh yourself! I love lemon-ginger personally because it helps invigorate me; it’s a great mid-day tea when I’m at work!

☀️Bonus tip: Use your sun-charged stone when you feel you need a boost, or on sunless days when you miss the sun’s warmth.

Fae-Sidhe’s Gaining Employment Spell

So I had an interview today and I really want to get this job, so I devised a simple little spell for gaining the employment I want, and thought I would share it here in case anyone else might find it useful.

Ingredients:

One bay leaf

A candle (white, green, orange or gold is best)

Non-toxic ink

Instructions:

Take your candle and find something that can be used to carve into it, such as a worn-out pen nib, and carve your intention into the wax of the candle, where the flame will burn it down. I simply carved ‘I will get this job’, but you can tailor it best to suit your situation. You can also carve any other meaningful symbols along with your intention, such as corresponding runes or sigils.

Next, take your bay leaf and do the same, write your intent, along with any other symbols that equate to your desire. Sit with your candle and watch the flame burning down, and visualise your intent, while holding your bay leaf.

Once the flame has sufficiently burned down enough to melt away the carvings, take your bay leaf somewhere airated (next to an open window for example) and carefully burn it, while visualising your intent. Be careful to use non-toxic ink when writing on the leaf, and avoid breathing the smoke in or getting it in your eyes. As the smoke spirals away, your intent will be released into the universe.

Alternatively, if you cannot or do not wish to burn it for any reason, you can also bury the leaf in the ground, release it into the wind, or cast it into a river, sea or body of water. Do whichever feels right for you!

I hope this spell will prove useful for someone, and hopefully is simple enough that it can be done with items you may already have around your home. (Complex spells with crazy ingredients annoy me tbh)

Happy job hunting!

Lost Girl: Bo Dennis [ESTP]

OFFICIAL TYPING by Charity / The Mod.

Extroverted Sensing (Se): Bo handles any new situation life throws at her with total confidence in her body, her abilities, and her ability to adapt to her environment; she often picks up unfamiliar objects and uses them as weapons to help her defeat other fae. As a succubus, her first go-to is sensual persuasion; she is not afraid nor hesitant to become physically involved with people to learn information, distract them, or heal by sucking their energy through kisses or sex. Bo is up for anything, from anyone, all the time. She becomes quickly bored when she has no cases to solve; she is also incredibly perceptive and aware of what is happening around her. She notices details at crime scenes that Kenzi misses, and enjoys being the center of attention or instigating excitement.

Introverted Thinking (Ti): She asks why, how, when, where, what? Constant questions. Bo cannot rest until she understands everything, from Kenzi’s past as a con artist to why her mother abandoned her. She remains detached, and often chooses the logical method to solve her problems, without her emotions clouding her judgment all that much (if it takes sleeping with him for information, so be it, let’s do this). She is able to retain information well, and quickly is able to adapt to and stockpile information on different fae, both light and dark. Bo is not often offended…

Extroverted Feeling (Fe): … except when her feelings are not reciprocated. Dyson’s reluctance to become emotionally involved perplexes her, and her feelings are hurt when he tells her that they’ll sleep together only when she “needs him, to heal.” She frequently airs her feelings to Kenzi, and feels validated when Kenzi agrees with her that yeah, Dyson is being a jerk. Bo uses flattery to get what she wants, but also has a strong emotional core; certain things are right or wrong in her mind, and while she does not tolerate a lot of misbehavior (and will track down and punish fae who are murdering humans), she refuses to pick a side. She considers herself “neutral territory,” since she doesn’t believe morals are black and white.

Introverted Intuition (Ni): Once in awhile, she has a singular, sharp intuitive insight into someone’s motives, but the rest of the time she admits that she has a “bad feeling,” or wants to “follow her gut.” She is not great at theorizing on motives without assistance (Kenzi supplies her Ne-dom needs, in terms of alternate possibilities) and sometimes, she miscalculates situations and judges them on the superficial circumstances (her anger that someone she “thought” was falling in love with her, only slept with her to “get ahead with her boss”).

If you want to know what’s wrong and need to cut to the chase, ask “what are you most worried about?”
—  I’ve heard this on an emergency medicine podcast, but it applies to any situation where you want to get right to it, and not dally around with “what brings you in today?” or “how are you doing?” or even “what’s been going on?” because it focuses on what’s most acute, while these other questions are broader.

balamist  asked:

you wrote Nail learned to breath fire because Spoon told him he couldn't do it. So, which characters are most likely to fall for "dare" no matter how silly, useless, or plain harmful for them it'd be, and which are hardest to provoke?

Hmm. This is pretty difficult to answer, honestly. Many of the characters in ffak are pretty easy to provoke/manipulate in certain ways lmfao. Maybe not how you’d WANT them to but like, in predictable patterns?
Id say Aeschylus is one of the easiest to trick into doing things, just threaten his abilities as a worm and he’ll get puffed up and angry. Most worms generally have this urge to prove themselves, or to be flexible in any situation, and are generally rather reckless when they get focused on something– but they eventually …CAN…. learn to not leap at every opportunity… still.. worms are pretty guilty for this…
Fork’s also sort of a doormat. He just generally wants people to be happy and comfortable around him, so its easy for him to try and overcompensate by considering other ppls feelings a little too much. This leads to ppl taking advantage of his friendly nature, and hurting him. But once they do that he doesn’t really forget, and is able to make it clear that he shouldn’t be underestimated. Fork generally believes he shouldn’t have to get meaner/closed off just because people end up being jerks, because he feels he’s going to eventually be able to connect with ppl who will understand and support him in a good way. He often struggles with thinking about this though. boundaries are difficult for him!
Cash might be the hardest one to provoke, or to manipulate into doing something she doesnt want to. Without outright, idk, robot-commanding her to do those things, i suppose. (which i dont feel counts) But as far as her personality, she generally likes mostly everyone she meets, even if they’re complicated assholes. (like Spoon.) However if you happen to threaten Good Leadman’s life, she really wont be so tolerable. How the heck did she and spoon end up such close friends anyway????????
Spoon’s also pretty difficult for others to manipulate. He even finds it difficult to manipulate himself into doing things he doesn’t want to. He pretty much is always run by his own weird, impulsive instincts??? He also is pretty highly suspicious/aware of anyone elses mind-games. (probably too much, not everyone is out to get you dude. although ok i guess.. a fair amount are) Theres very few people he would allow to order him around, and when he finds them hes pretty down for most things. He has too much blind confidence in his abilities to worry about his safety. (oh yeah i can totally backflip off a burning building into a helicopter no problem. i can do that TIED TO A CHAIR)
also knife is famously stubborn. but he absolutely lets fork dare him into doing literally whatever, mostly because fork doesn’t take advantage of that and he doesnt want knife to hurt himself. so its usually just very stupid but harmless things/pranks.

hmm.. i am writing more than i expected?????????????? again?????????? I JUST WANTED THIS TO BE A SIMPLE ASK!!!!!!!!!
so yeah everyone varies/has things that will get them to do stuff… i guess…

Zoo characters as benders

(because I’ve been watching too much Avatar/Legend of Korra lately)

JACKSON - WATERBENDER
Water is a very versatile element - it can be gentle, but it can also be a dangerous weapon. Waterbenders are adaptable to any situation, which makes them good leaders. Jackson is a sweet and loving person, but when he’s pushed too far, he’s very powerful. He’s resourceful and emotional as well, two other common Waterbenders traits. Plus, I really like the idea of him learning healing from his mother.

CHLOE - WATERBENDER
Like Jackson, Chloe is a sweet person who can turn very tough very quickly. She can be very cold to people she’s angry with (i.e. her sister and ex-fiancé), but at her heart, she is a very caring person. Her adaptability and patience make her an excellent team leader. I think she may have the capability for blood-bending, and she could use it to help synthesize a cure (using Jackson’s infected blood, for instance) but never to control people.

ABRAHAM - AIRBENDER
Airbenders are all about freedom and no earthly attachments. They don’t hold grudges and they live simple, peaceful lives. Abe takes joy in simple things and for the most part, has a lighthearted temperament. He prefers to negotiate, but he certainly isn’t afraid to fight if he has to. He is patient and forgiving and, at his core, all he truly wants is a peaceful life with his family.

JAMIE - FIREBENDER
Fire is the most volatile of all the elements, and can be very dangerous when not controlled. Firebenders are logical, strategic, and tend to have (excuse the pun) fiery tempers. Jamie is very passionate about her beliefs and has a strong desire for control. She can be a bit unpredictable and impatient, but she is dangerous in a fight. I think in extreme situations, she’d be able to produce lightning as well.

MITCH - EARTHBENDER
Earthbenders tend to be very stubborn people. They’re tough, at times brutally honest, and they don’t back down from a fight. Mitch, like many Earthbenders, doesn’t like showing vulnerability. He’s not afraid to say what’s on his mind, even if it angers someone, and his instinct is to protect people (just notice how many times in season one he deliberately puts himself between Jamie and whatever dangerous animal that’s about to attack them).

DARIELA - EARTHBENDER
Dariela is tough as nails and can be very confrontational. She voices her opinions, and she fiercely protects the ones she loves, just like Mitch. In fact, I think one of the reasons these two butt heads so often is because of how similar they really are. I also think Dariela would be adept at using seismic sense, especially to warn others of approaching danger. It’d be a very useful skill for an Army Ranger.

I love TMITHC, but I don't dare reblog anything because the last time I did, people viciously attacked me for being a Nazi. :( I wish I could reblog it because it's a great show that could use more visibility and more fandom. Why can't people recognize that fiction =/= reality? Rufus Sewell as John Smith is a tragic character (and hot af!). But if you show any sympathy to his personal situation, up comes the Nazi accusations.

As you said, this show is a warning. I fully understand your point of view. I have already received messages of this kind myself (because of a gifset on John, by the way) :3 That’s a very good question. Maybe some people can not accept that the series show SOME Nazis with humanity (like John and Rudolph, for example). Difficult to accept that this kind of person were humans like us. You have the right to have sympathy for John while being against Nazism.

The world has gone to shit and it's freaking me out tbh. I'm glad that I live in Canada, it seems like the only safe place. It's also extra reasuring that I don't live in any major city

Yep, this is very sad situation. But we shall not be scared

I think I’m pregnant. Well, not really since I got my period last week, but it sounded more dramatic than saying somehow I have a cravings disorder. I was talkin with a friend about ice-cream and then I started craving t, at midnight, desperately. And the ice-cream wasn’t even here when I stopped wanting it cause I suddenly craved strawberries cause I saw a post on Instagram. And yesterday it was the same with sundaes and banana splits… in the process other things I’ve been craving are: cheetos, whipped cream, chocolate, banana puddin, brownies (Please someone bring me some) and right now I’m craving pizza and a really cold beer, OH! And nuggets — but I always crave pizza so we can cross that one out. At this pace I will become fat, suggestions? Any idea if this could be a medical situation? I already checked and non of my friends are pregnant so t’s not that either.

The concept of a strawman is gonna be almost completely invalidated eventually, with the amount of stupid shit people do in any given situation you could try to make a strawman argument and accidentally perfectly describe something that actually happened

  • Wade: If you're on the sun, sun-dried tomatoes are just tomatoes.
  • Peter: Wouldn't they just be dried tomatoes, because they're still not normal tomatoes?
  • Wade: Ok so I just Googled this and turns out there aren't any tomatoes on the sun so it looks like we're both wrong, but more importantly you're wrong
Rage

Draco feels a tremor tear through him. His fists are clenched, his jaw muscles tense, his chest tight, his knees wobbly. He’s breathing heavily as his stomach twists viciously, the hot feeling inside it beginning to spread, infecting the rest of his body. Like venom. He stares down the empty corridor, lit by torches. His vision blurs, little spots appearing in front of him. He feels dizzy. He wants to scream. He wants this feeling inside of him to take physical form, so he can punch it, destroy it.

He wants the rage to leave his body.

Well, what Draco really wants is the cause of his rage to go away. How many letters from his father is he supposed to receive calmly, while Lucius keeps going on and on about how disappointed he is in his son, not sure if he can be even called his son any longer.

Draco feels sick. His stomach gives another twist, but Draco refuses to show weakness. He will not be sick. No. He hears, rather than feels, his jaw cracking as he tenses his muscles further. His arms are shaking now. Unthinkingly, he turns to the wall and punches it. Hard. He feels no pain, but there’s another cracking sound.

Draco feels his eyes sting, which only makes him angrier. This will not make him cry. He will not spill a single tear over this. And yet, he can’t seem to stop the hot tears from running down his cheeks.

He startles when he hears footsteps echoing off the walls. He hastily wipes the tears away with his sleeve and looks up. Of course. Of course it has to be Potter!

“Malfoy.” He sounds puzzled. “What are you doing here?”

Draco doesn’t answer and averts his eyes, in fear of Potter noticing he just had a moment of weakness.

“Malfoy,” Potter repeats. Draco feels a new surge of anger course through him. He wants to hit Potter. Hexing him wouldn’t be gratifying enough. He wants to physically injure him with his hands, his whole body.

Before Potter knows what’s happening, Draco lunges at him. His fist connects with his jaw and Potter stumbles backward. He blinks a few times, obviously flabbergasted and blinks at Draco stupidly. After a moment, he frowns.

“What the hell, Malfoy?”

Draco lunges at him again, trying to land a punch. His vision blurs once more, making it difficult to see where to hit Potter. But it doesn’t matter. Draco doesn’t care which part of Potter he will injure, as long as it hurts. He wants Potter to hurt as much as he does.

But Potter is fighting back. He hits Draco in the stomach, making him flinch. He welcomes the sharp pain. It numbs the other sensations in his body. It doesn’t last long, though. Once again, he feels detached from his body.

Draco’s not sure, but he thinks he got Potter on his shoulder and punched his chest, knocking the breath out of him. When Draco starts whirling around again, striking out in an uncontrolled manner, he suddenly feels arms encircling him, clutching him.

“Damn it, Malfoy, stop,” Potter shouts. He tightens his grip, trying to get Draco to stop moving. Draco fights against the restraint, tries to break free, but Potter is apparently stronger than him.

“Bloody hell, I heard you’ve been starting fights lately for no apparent reason,” Potter squeezes out while Draco still tries to get him off him. “What is the matter with you?”

Draco just grunts and tries to shove his elbow into Potter’s side. He fails. When all his attempts fail, he finally slumps down. Potter, surprised by the sudden extra weight, tumbles and they both go down.

Draco needs a moment to realise he’s half sitting in Potter’s lap, his body still somewhat encircled by Potter’s arms. It’s too much. Draco can’t take this. The hot tears he spilled earlier are nothing compared to what’s happening right now. He’s choking on his own sobs, every inhale torture to his lungs.

He can’t even win a fight against Potter, Draco thinks bitterly. Is his father right? Is Draco really a disappointment? Draco is faintly aware that he’s heaving and puffing, his chest aching.

“Malfoy,” Potter says quietly, uncertainty clear in his voice. He hasn’t moved his arms and Draco wants to slap them away, because the warmth that’s seeping through his robes is too bittersweet for him to bear. It’s not Potter’s intention to comfort him with this proximity.

“Your hand,” Potter suddenly mutters. Draco looks down at it. His hand his bruised and swollen, the skin on his knuckles cracked. He still doesn’t feel any pain. He’s just numb, like most days lately, not in control of his own body.

He hates that he can’t get up and just leave. He’s still sitting in Potter’s lap, sobbing like a child. Draco feels a tentative finger under his chin and tries to jerk his head away, but Potter’s grip is firm. He forces Draco to look at him and Draco can do nothing against it. He stares at Potter as several emotions pass over his face. His eyes are wide and his mouth opens to release a warm puff of breath. Draco feels it on his face and it’s like Potter has struck him.

The aching in his chest worsens and Draco breaks down completely. He lets his head fall down, not caring where it lands. The fingers under his chin disappear, as Draco’s head hits something solid. Potter’s shoulder, he realises, when something soft tickles his ear. Potter’s hair.

Draco knows this is wrong. He knows Potter is getting a glimpse of something, Draco has been trying to hide from everyone. He can’t show weakness. He just can’t.

He isn’t sure, at first, if he’s imagining something pressing into his back and the warmth on his cheek, until he tries to turn his head and finds that he can’t. Because Potter’s cheek is pressing into his, his arms are around Draco once more. He’s drawing circles on Draco’s back with his palms rather awkwardly.

Draco really does know this is wrong and he has no idea what possessed Potter to actually try and comfort him, but when Draco feels a warm hand move over his head and begins stroking his hair, Draco closes his eyes and decides that, just for tonight, he will forget about everything that is wrong.
