and i set out to make something

These last few sets have been very good to EDH players, with plenty of new Commander options (Neheb, the gods) and plenty of cards that I think will be played in the format for years to come (Fatal Push, Vizier of the Menagerie). Is there a guardian angel at R&D helping to make sure EDH players get something out of Standard-format packs?

We keep our eye on it. There are a lot of Commander players.

Night Time Routine

Sometimes it’s really difficult to fall asleep at night. A routine is a wonderful way to tell your brain that it is time to sleep. Here is a example routine, and you can change it or add to it however you need!

1. Set a time.

I think it’s good to have a little wiggle room, in case something comes up. Consider you’re bedtime something like 10-12. Aim for 10, but 12 is the latest.

2. Clean up.

Brush your teeth, wipe of any make up, wash your face, shower if you prefer to do that at night.

3. Go potty.

You don’t want to wake up in the middle of the night to pee.

4. Jammy up.

Pick out your favorite onesie, oversized t-shirt, or whatever it is that you’re most comfortable in.

5. Prepare your army.

Stuffy army of course. Get your bed fixed just how you like it, and pop a paci in.

6. Story time.

If you like bedtime stories, grab your favorite children’s book, or Google it, and enjoy.

7. Turn out the lights…

…and fall asleep.

Optional additions:
Night lights, white noise makers or gentle music, essential oil diffuser with a relaxing smell, take any night time meds you may need.

I tried to make this one that can be applied to all littles, whether single, LDR, live with a CG, etc., but feel free to adapt it to what works best for you. If your CG is around, they could help you with all this.

Hiya it's the anon from the sick /hurt headcanons (thank you so much btw it was awesome!) I was wondering if you could do some headcanons for what the guys find cute when Gardienne dose them?

Hey again, Anon! I’m glad you enjoyed the last set of headcanons, hopefully you’ll enjoy these headcanons too. ^^

Ezarel:

  • Your pout when he’s annoyed or irritated you is uber cute to him, and is undoubtedly the main reason he spends so much time teasing you.
  • Whenever you bake him something, he just melts. The very idea of you going out of your way to make something especially for him, just because you know he likes it is just so very precious, he might actually openly express his affection for you. Don’t count on it tho
  • You can’t exactly surprise hug Ezarel since he hates being touched in the first place, but just asking him for a hug puts him in a good mood, even if he’s not in the mood for one.

Nevra:

  • Loves when you chat to him while he’s doing a boring task, no matter whether it’s an amusing anecdote from your day or a weird fact you learnt from Ezarel.
  • Any form of affection, big or small is just the cutest thing to him and he’ll honestly spend hours relaying the moment in question over and over in his head, a unbelievably lovesick expression on his face.
  • Whenever you flirt with him, he thinks you’re simply adorable. Doesn’t matter if you say something so filthy everyone in 10 meter distance turns red from head to toe, it’s legitimately the cutest and hottest thing Nevra’s ever heard and he just crumbles.

Valkyon:

  • Any time you play with Floppy, is honestly just the most endearing thing to Val. He loves seeing his two sweethearts getting along, and he’ll almost always abandon his current task to watch you both.
  • It’s not often Valkyon gives his hair more than a quick comb through and that’s the way he likes it honestly, but any attention you lavish on it is cherished, if only because your reflection in the mirror reveals your adorable concentrating expression.
  • When you come to help him with his training. There’s not much you can actually do with the physical part of it, seeing how self-efficient Valkyon is, but he finds the water bottles, light snacks, extra towels and the very gesture touching and sweet.

Hey, I must ask how you do the eye glowy thing on your art? Or is it a secret?!?! It's ok of it is I just love the SPARK it adds to your art. It looks amaze and I can't make glowy eyes pls teach me your ways? (ㆀ˘・з・˘)

I don’t keep anything as a secret~! :D I usually first color them dark, and then use a bright green/blue/whatever color brush set on Lumi & Shade in Paint Tool SAI (I don’t remember the one I use in Procreate, but I think it’s named something similar). This gives the eyes more depth and brings out the glow. And after that I change the blending mode to Luminosity, and pick a more yellowish, brighter color and just add some details like pupils or shine <3 I hope it makes sense!

anonymous asked:

What do you think about an “i picked up your bag at the airport but i can’t find your number so i’m about to embark on the largest scavenger hunt of all time by using your strange belongings to track you down” au with charmer or nurseydex or zimbits or something??

Well, I don’t know if you expected three mini fics, and I didn’t fully follow the prompt, but here we are.

1. Charmer

Look, Chris knew it was dumb. He knew that everyone on earth had a plain black suitcase, he knew he should have double-checked the luggage tag, he knew it was important to be sure abut these things. But knowing what he should have done couldn’t help him when he finally got his suitcase home and opened it up to find mostly yoga pants and sundresses.

Fuck.

He zipped the bag back up and flipped open the luggage tag. It was cute, pink with some metallic lettering saying “I’m outta here!” in a handwritten font. Chris blamed jetlag and the redeye flight for making him miss the fact that it wasn’t his Sharks tag. He blamed the bag’s owner for not filling out any of the information on the tag.

Dammit.

Well, sorry random girl, he thought. He opened the suitcase up again to try to see if he could find anything that would give him a clue as to who the suitcase owner was. He moved a makeup bag aside, and hit gold immediately. Well, Samwell red. A Women’s Volleyball tshirt– mystery suitcase girl had to be on the volleyball team.

“Hey Ransom!” he yelled. “You’re facebook friends with all the volleyball team right?”

“He’s friends with everyone on campus!” Holster yelled back.

“Ask their captain if anyone flew in from the Bay Area and lost their luggage!”

_X_

“Is Justin here? My captain said he’s got my suitcase.” Chris overheard her at the door. He grabbed the bag and started hauling it downstairs. As he set it down at the bottom and caught sight of the girl in the doorway, he froze. She was pretty. Like, really pretty.

“Um, hi,” he said.

“So you’re Justin? Oh my god, I’m so glad it wasn’t some total rando who got my bag.”

“I’m actually Chris, Justin was just the one who was friends with your captain. Um, I’m sorry, but I kind of had to look through your stuff? Your luggage tag wasn’t filled out.” The girl laughed.

“Yours wasn’t either! Me and my teammates were like one minute away from googling the record holder for most San Jose Sharks merch, but it totally makes sense that you’re on the hockey team.”

“Since we both forgot to write our numbers down, maybe we should do that now?” Chris suggested. The girl grinned, grabbed his phone out of his hand, and opened up a new contact. She punched in a number, and when she handed it back he saw a text of several random emojis addressed to the new contact of “Caitlin Farmer” with a girl farmer emoji and a volleyball emoji.

“Text me sometime, and maybe we can get dinner?” she said, and she was gone with her suitcase.

Chris collapsed on the couch, a dreamy look in his eyes.

“Chowder? You get your suitcase back?” Bitty called out from the kitchen.

“Yeah! and I think I’m in love now!”

2. Nurseydex

“Cheryl, I’m telling you, I had a ton of inspiration on the plane and I wrote some great stuff for act three. No. No, it wasn’t just me thinking it’s great because I popped some melatonin and got really sleepy. It’s like, legit. Yeah, I’ll send it over as soon as I get home and–”

Derek slammed into something. If he’d been holding his phone in his hand (bluetooth is a blessing when you drop stuff easily) it would have launched across the airport. As it was, his post-flight latte was soaking through the nice white shirt of the handsome stranger in front of him.

“Shit,” the stranger said, looking down to survey the damage.

“Oh my god, I’m so sorry, I shouldn’t have trusted myself to make a phone call and not be clumsy after such a long flight,” Derek said. He set his briefcase down and pulled a wad of napkins out of the outside pocket. The guy took a deep breath, going from murderous to calm in a few seconds.

“I wasn’t looking where I was going either, it’s not your fault,” the guy said, setting down his own briefcase and accepting the napkins. He blotted at his shirt.

“Let me pay for the dry cleaning. Or a replacement,” Derek offered. The man shook his head.

“It’s fine, it probably needed to go to the cleaners anyways.” He checked his watch. “If I run, I can probably get a new one before my meeting.” He wadded the napkins into one big ball, picked up his briefcase, and walked towards the exit with a terse nod. Derek, feeling terrible about the whole thing, picked up his own briefcase and walked to baggage claim.

By the time he was reunited with his home office, a cozy bookshelf-lined room in his brownstone, he had almost forgotten about the coffee incident. He was focused on sending the manuscript to Cheryl. Unfortunately, that was going to be difficult, considering he pulled a PC laptop out of the bag instead of his Mac.

Derek stared at the computer for a full minute. He almost couldn’t believe that this was happening to him. Hesitantly, he opened the laptop. On one side of the keyboard there was a weird thing that a few seconds of phone googling told him was a fingerprint scanner. Shit. He hit the space bar experimentally. Something flashed on the screen, and then was replaced with just a plain black screen with red text: ACCESS DENIED

Derek swore. He started to look through the rest of what was in the briefcase, but was disappointed to find it empty except for the laptop’s charger, three packs of gum, and receipts from a lobster shack in Maine. Shit. Nothing in here would tell him anything about the redhead he’d launched a latte at.

He closed the laptop dejectedly, ignored his editor’s text messages, and went into the kitchen to make himself lunch and feel sorry for himself. This was the universe punishing him for covering a cute guy with coffee. If he had just kept his focus and waited to call his editor later, he could have sent the draft along and saved it and not be desperately trying to remember his inspiration.

Just as the self-pity spiral was really taking off, the doorbell rang. Derek sighed, put down his tea, and walked to the door. When he opened it, it wasn’t Girl Scouts or Jehovah’s Witnesses, but the guy from the airport.

“Cancel whatever you’re doing today, I need to teach you the most basic principles of digital security,” the guy said, pushing past Derek into the dining room. He shoved a stack of papers onto a chair and pulled Derek’s laptop out.

“I’m Will, by the way, I make software that’s hopefully a step ahead of viruses.”

“Is the draft still there?”

“The draft of what?” The guy looked confused.

“My third act breakthrough. I’m a novelist, I need to get it to my editor and I couldn’t remember if I saved it,” Derek explained.

“You know you can set up an auto-save every five minutes or so, right?” Will asked.

“This might be surprising to you, but I’ve never had a cute guy storm into my house and yell at me about computers before.” Will looked up from Derek’s computer, blushing.

“I haven’t had a cute guy dump a gallon of coffee all over me and steal my laptop before, either, but here we are.”

“Maybe you can yell about computers over lunch with me?”

3. Zimbits

Button downs. Tank tops. Slacks. Shorts. Three rolling pins. A pie tin. A half-emptied multipack of sharpies.

No lucky puck. No clothes in his size. No jerseys.

Jack sighed. It would just be too much to ask for anything to go well today. He picked up his phone to call someone with the Falconers, in the hope that they could talk to the airline and sort all this out. At the same time, his phone lit up with Tater’s face.

“Zimmboni! Look on twitter. Small internet baker has your suitcase!” Tater hung up before he could reply, so Jack just opened twitter instead.

omgcheckplease: A bunch of pucks, some dirty jerseys, and a history textbook. Either I’m back in college or this isn’t my suitcase.

omgcheckplease: .@falcsofficial please tell your #1 player to DM me and come get his shit

omgcheckplease: and @falcsofficial tell him to give me my shit back. my hockey days are in the past, I need rolling pins, not a mouthguard

Jack smiled and laughed in the way a person laughs when they’re alone, just blowing more air than normal out of his nose. He looked through the twitter for a minute– the guy, Eric Bittle, was a Providence-based chef, whose latest tweets were mostly greetings to the various cities he’d been visiting on tour. Jack clicked the media tab on the account, and looked through the pictures. Bittle was cute. He wrote a reply.

zimmboni: .@omgcheckplease how do I send u a DM

omgcheckplease: .@zimmboni you don’t deserve to be verified, oh my god #verifybittle2k17

A few seconds later another notification popped up, and he tapped it to be brought to a DM window.

omgcheckplease: hey! sorry about the mixup. I can only imagine how confused you were to find all my book tour stuff.

zimmboni: Probably as confused as you were finding hockey stuff?

omgcheckplease: I wasn’t joking in my tweets, I did play hockey before I got into the whole cookbook/food show thing

zimmboni: Exactly, I did a book tour last year in the off-season :-)

omgcheckplease: oh my gosh, isn’t it the best and the worst?

zimmboni: I know. It’s great to meet people and talk about your work, but it’s exhausting.

omgcheckplease: that’s why I’m so excited to be back in Providence! at least until the next cookbook.

zimmboni: Well we should probably meet up to trade suitcases. Want to meet somewhere for dinner?

omgcheckplease: don’t trust me to learn where your house is?

zimmboni: I mean, if dinner goes well enough…

omgcheckplease: OH. okay, then, Mr. Zimmermann, it’s a date.

Jack smiled to himself, and got ready for his date.

Daddy Drabbles #8

- Bucky gets first aid after a mission - Based off this

Bucky sighs a heavy sigh of relief when he sees his house approaching from the car window. He turns to Steve who is writing notes in his notebook as a post-mission ritual. He had ridden home with Bucky as a promise to you, to bring your husband back in one piece. The car stops in front of the house and they both thank the driver. With heavy tired steps they open the creaking gate to your house, the early morning sun beating down on their exhausted bodies as they walk to the door. Before they can reach the door you’re barrelling down the path straight into Bucky’s arms without a word. He catches you in his strong arms a soft groan involuntarily escaping his lips. “My ribs” he wheezes out. You instantly pull away as if you’d been burnt.

“Sorry, sorry” you pull away, in the eagerness to see your husband you had forgotten the potential for injuries. Bucky smiles through the pain as you survey him. “How bad?” it was almost ritualistic for you to ask after every mission.

“Three cracked ribs, stitches on my neck and thigh and a slight concussion, not to mention cuts and bruises just about everywhere” Bucky lists off his injuries and the worry clouds your face. “I’ll be right as rain tomorrow” Bucky says as he pulls you back to him with a cocky smile wanting to hold you in his arms. You often forgot your husband and his best friend had advanced healing and your worry was frivolous in most cases.

Surprise - you get a bonus Hiveswap developer interview today!

Hello there Hiveswap and Homestuck fans, Ash here! Now, I know what you’re thinking: “What madness is this? Ash said there’d only be *one* Hiveswap development team interview per week going forward! And he said they would be on WEDNESDAYS! This isn’t a Wednesday!”

Right you are, and that’s exactly why surprises are so much fun! Now, last week I mentioned that the next interviewee would be our superstar UI designer and all-around graphics guy Tauhid. Our interview with him will still be going live this week on Thursday, so definitely look forward to that, but today we’ve got another talented team member in the hot seat: Tom Hunt, our lead programmer and the prime coding whiz in charge of things on the technical side of things! Take it away, Tom!

Introduce yourself to the fans! What is your specific role on the Hiveswap team?

Hi, I’m Tom. I make stuff in Unity, which is a cross-platform 3D game engine and editor that can make all kinds of things - including the very 2D game you’re here to read about! My company neocade and I are working freelance on Hiveswap, with me as the lead programmer. Mostly, I direct and coordinate the team of programmers and quality assurance (QA) testers that are putting this game together. Sometimes I also write code.

When and how did you get your start on the Hiveswap project?

Sometime late last year, I was looking for a gig. At the time, What Pumpkin Games was looking for an additional Unity programmer. A mutual business contact introduced us via email, and we went from there.

Tell us a little bit about your career background! How did you get your start in programming? Do you have any advice for others looking to enter this field?

I’ve been programming computers since I was a little kid. I got my first actual programming job about a month after graduating high school, and did that for a bit during breaks while I was in college. It wasn’t very exciting, had nothing to do with video games, and didn’t pay a whole lot, but it sure beat taping up boxes of hot dogs in a factory all day.

The only advice I can really give to someone looking to enter the video games field is to just start making video games. Game development tools are more readily available now than they’ve ever been.

Also make lots of friends, especially with people who can draw or write or anything. If you live near a city, there is probably at least one game dev meetup somewhere - go to those and meet people. Get over whatever shyness you have, because almost every game that ever gets made is the result of a lot of teamwork.

We’re making a video game, so of course the question must be asked: what’s your favorite game of all time?

I played the heck out of Super Metroid back in the day. There’s something about that game. I would do speedruns of it - so now, every time I go back and play it, it all just feels so fluid. There’s a fairly robust set of inputs mapped out in a way that makes sense to my fingers. The entire game itself is fairly tightly bounded - a complete playthrough can take less than 90 minutes - so in a way, this beautifully detailed, explorable world is also actually kind of respectful of my time (more so than, say, a game like Skyrim, which is almost always a multi-hour/day/week commitment).

What games are you playing currently (if any)?

To be perfectly honest, I have not been playing NEARLY enough video games lately. That being said, aside from Hiveswap, I am currently into little mobile action puzzlers that I can play on the bus. Super Hexagon and Desert Golf are great. Just tried Polyforge this morning, too; that was pretty fun.

A lot of my friends are playing Breath of the Wild. I really want to just go get a Switch and play that, but I’m afraid of that eating up my time like Skyrim did.

Are there any games that you currently use or have used as inspiration for your own programming work here on Hiveswap, or just in general?

Not really - I tend to look at each technical problem on its own merits. The creative side of things is all handled by the What Pumpkin folks. I don’t really get involved with that too much. I just work to make sure their vision is implemented, however that needs to be done.

Imagine you’ve been given an unlimited budget and time frame to make your dream game. Tell us (briefly!) about that game in terms of genre, style, platforms, etc. Is it an original game or a long-desired sequel to an existing game? Go crazy!

Given an unlimited budget and time to work on a “dream game,” I’d have to go with some kind of deeply-simulated, massively multiplayer VR thing.

What’s your workstation like?

As a programmer, I like my workstations to be fast, reliable, and quiet. I always max out the RAM on a new machine if I can, because disk thrashing is just annoying as all hell. I’ve been really digging M.2 drives lately. Also, having extra monitors is always nice.

Do you like to listen to any particular kinds of music while you work? If so, tell us about it!

Mostly instrumental electronic music. Sometimes I’ll throw on some classical. Video game soundtracks are usually a pretty good bet. I can’t listen to anything with spoken words in it, though - too distracting.

Do you have a personal message you’d like to relay to all the Homestuck and Hiveswap fans out there?

Thank you all for being so patient with this project!

Thank you, Tom! Well folks, I hope you’ve enjoyed this week’s surprise bonus interview, and remember to check back on Thursday for yet another behind-the-scenes peek into Hiveswap’s development! As I teased last week, our very own Tauhid Bondia will be on hand to talk about his indispensable (my word, not his!) graphics and user interface design work on Hiveswap. See you then, everyone!

A Richonne Ranking: 40 Moments
[23] Toothpaste – The Next World, 6x10

Now this, this is the show I want to watch: casual co-parenting in the apocalypse. The Next World is probably my favorite episode ever. It’s bookended by two perfect Richonne scenes, starting with this one, which serves to effectively reset the narrative after Carl’s near fatal gunshot wound. If you were anticipating dramatic aftermath, tough luck! We got ourselves some heavy domesticity instead! What a timely reminder to us all of how slight the shift will be when Richonne becomes official. In about… ooh, 40 minutes. Set your watches.

Michonne’s never been more relaxed onscreen than in this moment, robe-clad and grinning away as she rolls her head from Rick to Carl. (And just look at the way she watches Rick with Judith in the eighth gif.) Likewise, Rick is in embarrassing dad mode without a care in the world. We see two people who are exactly where they’re supposed to be. She even says to him, in some high-key flirting, “You be good out there.” The sweet little hand touch as they walk away reminds me of tennis doubles players between points; they don’t need to stop and check in with each other – they’re on the same page without words. And for one playful extra detail, as if to support my unnecessary tennis analogy, the ball gets passed back to Michonne just at the very last second. It’s in her court now.

  • Danai: The bonding of [almost losing Carl in No Way Out] and the fact they have a newly formed life now — it’s two months later, they get Carl back, and they’re able to rebuild Alexandria. Rick transformed as well. He’s able to take on all that Deanna used to say and that Michonne would encourage him to believe — to come to Alexandria and consider himself one of these people. He’s now much more hopeful and I think that’s something that appeals to Michonne as well. They’re in a place where they can actually allow their hearts to express themselves. Things are stable and better, they have a new lease on life.
  • Andy: It makes complete sense. It was that sort of domesticated, familial relaxation between old friends.

I’m seeing a lot of people misunderstanding something, and I want to try and set the record straight for some of you: Lying about your identity for safety/ease isn’t the same as actually identifying that way?

Like, letting my coworkers think i’m a girl doesn’t make me woman-aligned, it just makes me a closeted androgyne.

I’m seeing lots of people talk about “identifying a certain way for safety” and that’s just called being closeted, not an identity? Like, think about this in binary terms: A trans woman who isn’t out yet and is using he/him pronouns and presenting masculinely isn’t a partial man or man-aligned, she’s just a closeted trans woman.

So why are we saying this about NB people? ?

Who would win and who would fail in the Reddit 50/50 challenge? (Question directed at the mod on Villainos characters)

// Okay, personally, I LOVE Reddit’s 50/50 challenge cause I’m a sick fuck. The 50/50 Challenge and NoSleep are my fav subreddits. As for the Villainous crew…

// Dr.Flug would probably only click the ones he knew were cute/sfw. For a subreddit with a lot of fucked up shit, it had the best cute stuff. But you know he’s bound to misclick one and have to set his phone down for a while after seeing some doctors tending to a man with his head split wide open. He fails.

// Black Hat would do the opposite– Seeking out the worst of the posts, of course. Dead bodies, people being set aflame, heads being chopped off, shootings; they all make him laugh. But he throws his phone across the room the second one of the nsfw posts are a dick or something. He needs a new phone every time. He wins for the most part.

// 5.0.5′s big paws can’t operate a phone let alone a computer, but he’s probably caught Black Hat on the subreddit once or twice and been scarred for life. But I don’t think you can say he wins or fails– He’s not really playing.

// As for Demencia, she’s there for it all. The cute stuff is nice– But the weird stuff is better. Who knew that’s what someone would look like after they hit the pavement jumping off a building? Fucking cool. A lady’s tits? Very nice. Genitalia disease? Gross haha. She definitely wins.

Kaneki and Toukas child will live

(DISCLAIMER: This is my own opinion regarding the survivability of Kaneki and Toukas child. There’s no actual proof that anything i’m saying is in fact true, and there’s a possibility Ishida might just punch me in the gut and prove me wrong.)

Following the release of the latest chapter of Tokyo Ghoul:re, chapter 129, we receive confirmation that Touka is indeed pregnant, and with Kaneki as the father, the child is either a half-ghoul or half-human (im working on a meta on the genetic implications which ill post later on). While everyone has been theorizing about the possibility of a pregnancy since Ishida’s drawing of Touka with a bloody belly and the burnt-womb poem; having finally received its validation, the fandom seems sure of one thing: the baby will die. Whether it will be through a natural miscarriage or during some kind of combat, the baby will certainly die. And with reason, after all, its our first time experiencing a ghoul pregnancy,of a hybrid nonetheless, and considering what we know (the ghoul mother absorbs the child, the child dies of malnutrition, etc), there’s no hope for the baby.
