I love how you did research before starting a comic (like calling the characters in each room). it's makes it much better quality. I'm a fan who went to every possible room in undertale and called papyrus(and undyne in a separate timeline) and I always find myself raging when people do something that doesn't actually fit the canon.


THANK YOU!! Oooh my gosh, we have read over so much stuff in the game repeatedly. When doing Chara’s story we constantly headed back to double check we weren’t contradicting anything in the game. And it got even worse in Forgettable! We had to double check the first arc and the game sooo much. And repeat over the planned plot to ensure we weren’t going to mess it up.

That said, I LOVE CALLING PAPYRUS. He is so funny! And when Undyne can join in it just gets better!

But what you said really made me think, I honestly believe many people didn’t realize you could call Papyrus in pretty much every room after the ruins. (The Core and True Lab excluded)

Because during the calls is where you learn the most about Papyrus, but many people play him off as a moron, which really does contradict a lot of what you learn about him during the phone calls. Such as his artistic abilities that I bring up whenever I can (which is why he’s the one drawing blueprints in the first arc! ;3)




The gauntlet of deadly horror. Is a rock formation painted over to look like a bridge. This skeleton!! Gah. He hurts my feelings. He’s so sweet. WHY CAN’T HE BE REAL.

List 93: Top Ten Anime I want to make a Game for

I love video games. I would easily say it is my favorite hobby I do. Usually it takes a backseat nowadays to me doing other things in my life but it is truly the one I find the most passion in. That got me to thinking what anime would I want to turn into games? I started visualizing genres and unique ways to turn them into games and my imagination went wild with the idea. It really was one of the most fun ideas I’ve come up with in a while. I ordered these in less of quality and more of how proud I was of each idea I came up with for them. I also put genre and studio making it to make it really feel more alive to me. Game on!

10: Kids on the Slope

Genre: Rhythm    Company: Nintendo

This was a given with the show in question. I sat for a while thinking over whether it or Your Lie in April deserved this spot and settled on Kids for a few reasons. I figured a time piece of music would be very neat to see in gaming. We always get certain series or styles but never one time period aside from like when Rockband did stuff for Kiss. You can play one of 4 instruments: piano, drums, trumpet, and double bass. The music selection would all be songs from the anime and time period. A jazz based rhythm game made by men in Nintendo who grew up in that time period. The would for sure connect with the title and bring out the music quality to the highest standard. 

9: Gurren Lagann

Genre: Mech Open World Adventure   Company: Monolith Soft

This one would have you building your own mech form the start and working through the story of Gurren Lagann with it as a part of Team Dai Gurren. Once the 7 year gap happens you would have tons of side quests and ways to upgrade and remodel your mech while taking on tons of challenges. Monolith loves mechs to death so I figure who better to display Mechs at the most over the top in gaming form. References to other famous Mech anime would be nice too as a way to make it feel special. Unlockable mechs for certain Gundams and the Evas from Neon Genesis would be a true delight. 

8: Rurouni Kenshin

Genre: Action  Company:  Rocksteady Studios

Following the story of Kenshin beat for beat is what I want here. The game would be split into 3 parts. The first would be a section in Tokyo where basic missions and gameplay is taught while getting through the start of the story. Then you would get to Kyoto and have a much larger area to see and the story would build up to the Shishio arc. Then you would end off with Kenshin’s backstory and Enishi’s arc with a Tokyo filled with tons more to do. You would have also side unlockable stories playable with Sanosuke, Yahiko, Kaoru, and Saito. I chose Rocksteady for it’s great open world design, and combat flow in the Batman games. I think bringing that to a Kenshin game would be fantastic. Mix their love to drop hidden facts about the city and characters with obtainable secrets and this game would be a love letter to Kenshin fans. Telling the story from start to finish and constantly giving you new abilities as you work through the story. 

7:Kill la Kill

Genre: Beat’em Up   Company: Platinum Games

Name a company that makes better crazy action games then Platinum? With Bayonetta and Metal Gear Rising alone I’m convinced they could make a wonderful adaptation of the Kill la Kill world and make the action feel like the anime did. I’m undecided if I want the actual story to be the focus or just let them make an original plot within the world. I’d rather like to play Ryuko though and kick ass with my scissor blades. So I think I lean more towards that for sure. 

6:Fullmetal Alchemist

Genre: Action Adventure    Company: Bandai Namco

Haha Looks like I forgot to type something here the first time!

FMA’s game would follow the story of the series of course(brotherhood), and you would play everyone from Ed to Mustang to Winry. Varieties of gameplay styles and modes to keep it fresh while hitting the player hard with the feels of the story itself. It would hit all the marks and try to be a little bit of everything just like the actual series. Bandai makes tons of great titles like the Tales series so I trust them to figure out a way to make it all come to life with a perfect equivalent exchange. 

5: Fate Series

Genre: Open World Action-RPG    Company: From Software

Fate is a pretty dark world and the set up of the Holy Grail War is fantastic. Give players the option to choose from almost a hundred options of heroes of the past, present, and future and let them take part in the war. Letting you improve as you battle and explore trying to find intel on the other competitors would allow you a ton of freedom while playing. Mix all the options and each playthrough would be unique as well. I think a risk/reward battle system like From Software is known for would work here. You are rewarded for being more risky but at the same time show all your skills and you could be at a disadvantage when trying to fight future heroes. I think it would be a very challenging battle of wits and reflexes at least. 

4: Kuroko no Basuke

Genre: Sports    Company: 2K Games

Anyone remember NBA Jam and NBA Showtime? The hilarious bombastic basketball video games that would let you dunk from almost anywhere on the court. Imagine the basically superpower of the Kuroko cast in video game glory. Let people play through the story or exhibition matches and let them go crazy with every character’s special traits. Heck you could even make a few fake new character with weird abilities just to spice it up a bit. I’ll let a sports series expert handle this one and make it crazy as can be. 

3: Magic Kaito

Genre: Heist Stealth    Company: Level-5 

With Persona 5 on the cusp on being released world wide it made me think, why not a Kaito game in a similar vein? You could play through a multitude of scenarios made for the game including all sorts of characters from Aoko to Conan. Be Kaito Kid and use what the game gives you to make it through the police, other adversaries, and of course Conan again to best them all as the phantom thief! I think this game would be full of laughs and creative level design open to player to explore. Think like a funny Hitman game, where you steal instead of kill. Any fan would be in for a treat and I think Level-5 has a huge track record that would reassure me. 

2: Spice & Wolf

Genre: Economics/Dating Sim   Company: MPS Labs

From the creators of Civ. I want a fantastic simulation title. You play through the world of Spice & Wolf as Kraft Lawrence and try to get Holo to her home. The game would have travel segments like Oregon trail, a romance meter to build with Holo, and a very complex world economics system to learn and master. If you are able to be the best at all of them you will get the best and true ending of the game. Anything from death to Holo leaving you can happen, its up to you to master the market and your heart to get the true end! 

1: The Girl Who Leapt Through TIme

Genre: Choice Based Adventure    Company: Naughty Dog

So, I was thinking lets have a new character that you play in the same world as the Girl Who Leapt Through Time. You are given 100 jumps to make. And the game takes place over the course of 3 months. So around 90 days. Every day you play through like a simulation game building relationships, leveling up certain personality and knowledge stats and overall learning about the world. At any time over the 3 months you can jump back in time after completing any new task. Which ones are important and which ones are truly unimportant in the grand scheme? Maybe they are all important. Work your way to a happy ending and not the bad one you see in your dreams on day 1 of the story. It would make players really try their hardest to appreciate every little decision and I think I want the perfect graphics of realism from Naughty Dog and their little touches to make this a true classic through time.

Can you recommend me some series, movie or so to satisfy my self? Hehe Btw, After watching those two, I tried watching 'make it right', but i felt kind of cringy so I stopped at ep. 1. I admit to loving Make it Right, but the actors are very young (as in underage), so all of them still have room to mature.

For TV Shows/Series

SOTUS is highly recommended. The quality and the story line are very well done. Another season is coming later this year.

There are other Thai series that range in quality. I love them all, but your personal results may vary. Love Sick, Honey Puppy, Waterboyy, 2Moons (1 ep so far), My Bromance

Gay OK Bangkok deals with much more adults themes and adult actors.

Grey Rainbow is good, but sad. So be warned.

For Movies

Antique Bakery is always a classic favorite.

Doushitemo Furetakunai I really liked. Some find it a bit low key. With all the other BL stories out there, I like this simpler story.

Junjou Pure Heart is another great classic.

Fathers A good story about two men raising their son.

Seven Days This one could have been slightly better. But I still love it dearly. It’s one I watch over and over.

Uncontrolled Love Always a sucker for the dominance story lines. The two actors were great for their parts.

I hope this list is a good start and gives you some extra hours of enjoyment.

Dare I say it, because the cool, trendy thing to do is to hate on PLL. But season 7A is my favourite season to date.

I’ve spent the past few days rewatching 7A, and I hit a level of appreciation that I think I slightly missed the first time around. The story progressed dramatically from episode 1 to episode 10, and yes, there are answers in every episode as promised. I don’t think Marlene meant ‘answers’ in the sense of “who killed Garret! - episode 1″ and “why Ian committed suicide! - episode 2″ and “Jessica’s I can’t protect you email! - episode 3″ and “who is Charlotte’s father! - episode 4″. That’s not what she meant. Loose ends like those will only make sense with the endgame reveal in the series finale. By answers in every episode throughout 7A, she means actually dropping CLUES to the endgame, that will all culminate later. Killing Sara, revealing Elliot’s true identity to be Archer, Charlotte and Archer had a romantic history, Noel was in the dollhouse, Spencer is a Drake, the doctor dealt with “two of Mary’s babies”, Mary had another child, the wording of AD’s threats are clues in themselves, Jessica is the evil twin and Mary was the victim of her cruelty, Grunwald bleeding when Noel is near, Grunwald saying the source of the threat is very close, Jessica never stopped searching for Ali… the list goes on. I could break it up per episode if I really wanted to. We get blinded by the fact that these answers raise more questions, so we feel like we got no answers. But we actually did get answers. Every single episode of 7A reveals something new towards the endgame, which will all culminate in the series finale. The answers we get are indeed brief, and they raise more questions, but each episode gives us something new to think about until the series finale. And the romance is interesting too. I love these characters. I’ve known them for almost 7 years now. So seeing that Spencer is able to love again after her breakup with Toby made me happy. Watching Hanna be in a difficult position giving Spencer her permission to be with Caleb, and watching Aria delete Nicole’s call to save her marriage… the content is incomparable to Aria dating her martial arts teacher, or Spencer flirting with a random dude in London.

I also hear from too many people that the writing is exponentially worse in recent seasons. I couldn’t disagree more. Many people are searching for answers and answers only (regarding the mystery), and so they mentally ‘switch off’ when they feel the scene won’t give them any. I appreciate every word said and the meaning behind the words. For example, in 708, Emily asked Paige how long it’s been since they last spoke. Emily says 2 years, and Paige says it’s actually been 3 years. “Here we go, why do we care about that?” Well, don’t take it literally: the point of that line is not to give us a number as to how many years. The point of that line is to show us that Emily has moved on from Paige - time is flying without her, hence she recalls only 2 years, meanwhile Paige feels the distance more as she misses Emily dearly, and she’s counting the days that go by without Emily, and so she recalls an extra year (3 years). As we can see, it took me a paragraph just to explain one line. I won’t explain the other 10 examples I had, some even in the mystery aspect of the show, not the romance. (This appreciation for the lines is coming from a person who doesn’t even watch PLL for the romance; I’m here for the mystery.) I’m okay to admit the writing is just fine.

Is the show perfect? Hell no. Answering questions in interviews and not in the show is a big no-no. I won’t let that bother me. Yes it sucks, especially for those who don’t go snooping the web for these interviews. But I do. I see the answers. I’m happy. I move on with my life. Plot holes?? Nope. Charlotte lied about her story in 610 for very specific reasons, and they’ll be fixed soon. Yes, some storylines are dropped faster than they’re written (#Who’sInTheBarrel). This tells me they mustn’t be important, so I’ll move on with my life. Also, if the story has been dropped out of nowhere, the writers must feel they’ve appropriately concluded that story. So I’ll dig and find the answer myself. And I successfully do find the answers myself. Heck, I’m keeping a record of them here

Long time followers of my blog know that season 4 is my all-time favourite season. (Well, now, used to be.) Actually, everyone always says the earlier seasons of PLL are the best. I think we enjoyed the earlier seasons more because the story was new and fresh, and not so convoluted. Now 7 years in, we know these characters backwards, there’s a list of more than 150 questions, the ‘high school drama’ and ‘queen bee goes missing’ and ‘16 year old girls’ stigmas have faded and the story is more complex than ever. I say those as good things. Of course, 7 years in, it won’t be as ‘fresh’ as it once was. I don’t believe ‘fresh’ equates to ‘better’, because the ‘better’ stories are being told now in season 7.  

Sorry for the long post, but I was just re-watcing 7A and I was frustrated that a season of this quality is being hated so much. I genuinely loved the re-watch experience, asking myself “do I have time for one more!?” … even though I know what’s coming up next.

I have officially decided to give up on Modern Sonic. The reason being that it has inconsistent quality and the soullessness. When I see Sonic Mania, I see love put in a game. When I see a modern Sonic game, I see nothing but a desperate attempt at being cool. I have decided it is not worth the continued stress and I already feel better with my decision.

This is another one of those reasons I campaign for Sonic Unleashed so much, because Unleashed, even though it birthed games like Sonic Colors, Sonic Generations, and now Sonic Forces, feels so completely different from those games.

If you push the story and the combat away and forget about it for a sec, from an art direction standpoint, from the way the game “feels,” there’s definitely a stronger feeling of passion and inspiration in Sonic Unleashed than you get in the games to come after it. It feels more bold, more daring, like it’s making a bigger splash. It’s trying harder to grab your attention, and succeeding more. There’s a spark there that’s missing from later boost-focused Sonic games.

I think that’s because, generally, the other Sonic games aren’t confident in themselves. Sonic Colors was taking Sonic Unleashed and trying to twist to service the Mario crowd (Sonic Team has said as much), whereas Sonic Generations was more about revisiting and remixing the past. Both games downplayed what made Sonic Unleashed cool to service other people and other goals. The gameplay holds itself back to leave room for the other stuff.

Sonic Unleashed literally shook me the first time I played it because it was so intense. Colors and Generations intentionally water themselves down too much to come anywhere close to that sort of white-knuckle sensation. And that’s kind of a bummer.

How will the secret doings go with Soryu at the love hotel tonight?

Sooo… I have finished Soryu’s side story and I can say that the description for Soryu’s story isn’t entirely true. As in, it’s misleading for some part. But anyway, the story was good. (Eisuke’s story is still better in my opinion.)

The story was cute and funny. Less steamy as compared to Eisuke’s. It’s more of the MC and Soryu spending quality time together back in Japan, sharing their thoughts and interests (mostly Soryu’s favorite genre police ahem). Things were still innocent even when they were in the love hotel. It was only at the very end that things escalated but ended with a sentence that goes something like “The two of us spent the whole night together” blah blah…

I have no idea if it was a good move by Voltage Inc to release Eisuke’s story first because Ota and Soryu’s stories were less stimulating compared to Eisuke’s. With the context of being at the love hotel, we would expect similar happenings seen in Eisuke’s. But I understand that it’s crafted based on the respective personalities. Like how Ota is a tease but in fact, he can be embarrassed with how aggressive the MC can be when he’s the one who told her to be. And how Soryu has a great self-control when it comes to sexual urges (Uh no? Okay lol) at least seen in this side story.

Stimulation wise, this could be better if there are more chapters, maybe. Plot wise? I think it’s well done. Step right into the screenshots and some spoilers below:

some scattered thoughts on the new heaven’s feel trailer. hf spoilers within.

  • am i watching kara no kyoukai
  • no seriously that opening bit in a filthy back alley had knk vibes all over it and im glad
  • Saber is in the yellow raincoat. adaptation confirmed for good.
    • (i mean thats accurate, but also rip fate route fans and your dreams of an adaptation by ufotable) 
  • lots of focus on lancer here, which either means they are giving him an extra fight scene or adding more to the hassan fight. seems to be the latter based on that shot of him and hassan going at it on a truck
    • looking at it again i think they may have redone his prologue fights with saber and archer as well, since that shot of his spear flying to him looked like it was happening at school, and he only uses gae bolg vs saber
  • Saber using her wind blast at Ryuudo temple, which confirms THAT part is happening in the first film. im ready to cry.
  • Shinji confirmed for having a somewhat different look in this film but still making ridiculously evil faces. I actually love how the nasuverse has villains change outfits for different routes, it helps give the story a different feel, so i approve of this change.
  • hi zouken, nice to see you join the rest of the cast finally please die
  • this animation??? holy shit!??? 
    • i did not think it was possible for ufotables visuals and fight scenes to get even better but they have done so. No matter what the overall quality of this adaptation turns out to be you can be sure it will be gorgeous, with amazing fight scenes.
  • sasaki’s longsword vanishing… whose ready for that gore in a movie where they are less censored then the ubw anime.
  • i love how it cuts from Shirou declaring he will fight in the war, to that shot of Sakura. great way of linking the two things together and showing how sakura doesnt want that. 
  • Also a great way of bringing it all back home to sakura to remind everyone she’s the heroine of this route.
  • Sakura saying the final words of the trailer is also a good touch
  • Also i just realized they showed a lot of conflict without showing a single shot of the Shadow, and i love that bc it means they want it to be a total surprise to the audience. Can’t wait to see how they do it.

Overall everything looks fantastic. The animation is sick, the mood is already much darker then ubw, (which is fitting) and we now have a vague idea of how far this film will go into the plot thanks to that shot of saber’s wind blast at the temple. 

The one thing that worries me, is that shot of lancer fighting hassan on a truck. It was very cool, but im also just like ??? over this change. Are they not going to have the whole fight at the temple? with the shadow bursting out of the lake? that would be kind of a weird and random change. Im hoping the fight will just start out in the city, with hassan then retreating to the temple and lancer following him in. 

I don’t know if it’s been talked about yet, but here’s a little observation I made earlier when I rewatched the clip in peace, while actually paying attention to the lyrics. And while I think the lyrics were quite interesting in regards to Sana’s feelings and emotional state (I’m in pain, to be honest), I couldn’t help but notice this:

So, during the part where Isak and Even are walking towards the school, these are the lyrics:

Jeg vet, de vet han bitchen er gal

gal gal gal ga- ga- ga- gal

Han bitchen er gal 

I know, they know that (guy)* bitch is crazy

crazy crazy crazy cra- cra- cra- crazy

That (guy)* bitch is crazy

*(Not quite sure how to translate this properly, but in Norwegian it says “han” before bitch, and han = he as far as I know)

And during the entire time the scene seems to be quite focused on Even:

So it starts out with the two of them, walking towards the school together as the lyrics go “Jeg vet, de vet han bitchen er gal”  (I know, they know that (guy) bitch is crazy):

Then, a quick close up on Even as we hear “gal” (crazy):

A second later we go back to the two of them, but we only get to see both Isak and Even for a quick moment in the beginning and at the end of the shot. During the time the shot goes into slow motion, Isak is hidden from our view and we can only see Even in focus while the lyrics continue with “gal gal ga-” (crazy crazy cra-):

The lyrics finish with “ga- ga- gal / Han bitchen er gal ” (cra- cra- crazy / That (guy) bitch is crazy), while the boy squad greet each other. And even here, it’s Even (and Magnus, although his face is turned away from us) who is in the center (kind of turning his face towards us, even), while Isak is standing behind him, positioned on the side of the shot:

(Cue Sana walking past to “Don’t talk to me, no. Think you know me, know me. No.” and me crying)

Now I’m no good when it comes to analyzing things, but could this be some sort of foreshadowing about Even having another episode? Or something else about his bipolar disorder that will be important? That is somehow relevant to Sana’s story? Anyone wanna speculate?

I can’t exactly remember the date, but I know it was around May that I finally threw the towel, gave up, and created this mostly OUAT/CS sideblog! SO HERE WE ARE! ONE YEAR LATER! And while I can still qualify to ‘professional lurkers of Tumblr(dot)com’ I wanted to take a moment to give a shoutout to some of my favorite peeps that I follow around here! Y’all make the Tumblr experience for me, with your writing (!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!), your art, your gifs, and everything in between, meta, FANGIRLING, etc etc etc.

I do not know many of you, but I definitely know of a bunch of you through my dash and every time a new fic is posted or an awesome piece of art or words about JUST HOW CAPTAINSWAN IS THE BEST OTP ON THE PLANET (lol), it totally makes my day!

ok please click for better quality  but uh so these are assorted ocs / concepts for this story ive been thinking about lately about a ¼ fey lesbian living in nyc and granting small magical favors to humans in exchange for money and other payments…. while maybe finding love. i havent settled on names yet but in order ive been calling these gals Orange Pip / Mona, Sara, and Grandmother. i dont know the reason behind any of those names

the general idea behind the story is that ive always found new york city to have an almost unsettling magical atmosphere; there’s a lot of liminal spaces here and little pockets where you feel like youre in another dimension and i wanted to explore that with a character who is of both worlds so to speak. the idea being that this doesnt take place in some kind of magical alternate reality but instead its just through the lens of how i see the real nyc and the people in it

im bad at explaining but if ppl wanna know more then jst shoot me a message !

I am so so glad you sent this @hellagrumpy because it gets at a point I feel really strongly about but have not felt like I’m saying clearly or enough, which is:

Drarry is not a bad ship and that’s not at all what I’m trying to say. It is, exactly as you said, about how different writers tell their stories.

I love it when stories really get into the nitty-gritty of this - the war, the trauma that came from it, their respective histories, what it means to earn forgiveness, what love and attraction (separately and together) mean and do in different settings, the politics, the ethics, the question of how you privilege your community and your philosophical commitments, and so much more.  I agree that stories about redemption and change can be really meaningful and important. I absolutely think that H/D stories can be fantastic and take all of this history into account, and many of them do, and many of my absolute favorites, fics that I think of as among the best, are ones that embrace that history and use it to fuel the story.

What makes me nervous is when fandom begins to erase/ignore/gloss over the terrible things Draco has done. When it’s just “one day Draco was behind the counter of a coffee shop and through the latte steam Harry realized that his Dark Mark, symbol of belonging to a blood purity supremacist group implicated in the torture and death of hundreds of innocents, was in fact a dead sexy tattoo and Harry got could barely suppress the urge to lick it.” Or, for that matter, when Harry is that quick to see things in a new light, when Harry becomes willing to overlook the ways his loved ones were profoundly harmed by Draco and his family. When it’s about fluff and cuteness and woobification and tea and scones and curtains and pet names and cuddles and puppies and snogging.

Or, I guess, when it stops being about evil people re-evaluating themselves and changing, and more about non-evil people getting in the habit/doing the work of re-evaluatingi n order to find change and goodness that’s never really otherwise established. When we as readers get used to doing the work of looking for the good - the lovability, the softness, the redemption - in people who have not earned it. Who, outside of our fictional worlds, would not want to earn in.

Maybe that just makes Drarry an especially high-stakes ship in this political moment, where the allegories in canon run perilously close to real life political events. All of that incredible potential is still there. So, what are we going to do with it?

It shouldn’t fit the quality of P4. It should have done BETTER than P4.

What I said in that previous post may have made it sound like I loved Persona 4′s split ending mechanic, but to be blunt, I was not happy with how that game handled it either!

Every Persona Game keeps harping on “taking responsibility for your choices”, but they never actually follow up on it except for the rare dedicated moment. 

In P1, your “responsibility” amounts to nothing but which of the two campaigns of the story mode you end up playing first and whether or not you get your Ultimate Personas, which is cool, I guess, but not exactly much. (It was a PS1 game tho, so it had a right to be minimalistic there.) 

In P2, your “responsibility” changes only whether or not Yukino dies and which of two possible party members joins you in EP. 

P3 is the absolute worst there, as your choices change absolutely nothing, except for the possibility of giving you a “bad ending” that’s not much more than a non-standard-game over and is telegraphed to the point you pretty much CAN’T get it unless you outright intend to. The only thing you really have “responsibility” over are your social link, and even there, the game takes choice away from you by forcing you into a romance with everything with boobs. It was a low-point in terms of “choice”. 

P4 is better. Your choices during the Namatame Arc actually MATTER to what the game ends up like. The game also doesn’t telegraph the endings for you like a cliche romance anime. Convincing Yosuke to continue the investigations and *not* kill Namatame actually requires you to think about the situation AND know the character you are talking to well, so you don’t mess up. Then, there’s the whole deal with figuring out Adachi, which I hear drove many people who refused to be spoiled up a wall at first. Finally, actually GETTING the true ending requiring *remembering* the game’s themes and following them through to their logical conclusion, even spiting in the face of instructions the game itself gives you. Many people never even realized this ending exists, and I think that’s GOOD. True multiple endings are meaningful because they’re a result of your actions, not a result of your knowledge of screenwriting cliches. 
HOWEVER, nothing you choose to do in Persona 4 before Nanako is rescue matters. None of your choices up to that point influence the ending you’ll get, not even its nuance or details about the cutscene. You can be a gigantic dickhole for the entire game right up to that point and NOBODY will mind. The worst that can happen to you is not completing many social links.

P5 is stuck somewhere between P3 and P4. Again, the multiple endings are telegraphed to you with an Etch-A-Sketch, but at least this time, the choices you make in Social Links/confidants actually MATTER, because they influence what your abilities/boons are by the time you reach the final boss and actually have a great influence on how easy the game will be to play. So yeah, I guess you *do* need to take “responsibility” for your relationships if you don’t want to be the succkiest thief ever in the metagame, however, it still doesn’t have too much influence on the story. At least it adds a few minor cutscenes towards the end of the game. That’s good. Doesn’t feel like you get any consequences for not “honoring your responsibility” though.

What these games need, and I mean really DIRELY need to fulfill this theme that they’ve been taunting us with since P1 is to introduce actual consequences for your choices in the game. There needs to be more than “True End, Good End, Bad End”, there need to be multiple possible outcomes, which are determined by the way you behaved towards others in the game, not just by a single choice or two somewhere near the end. Not only would that add even more replayability to the games, it would actually make the contract of “taking responsibility for your own actions” mean something for once. 

Come on Persona. If I acted like an absolute dickhole towards everyone around me the whole game and then suddenly insist how much I love humanity towards the big bad deity towards the end, I WANT that to backfire on me! HARD! I WANT everyone to hate me, and maybe my own Shadow to consume me for my lie, what do I even know! Just don’t act like it didn’t happen.

I know ATLUS are probably afraid players will be frustrated if you don’t tell them that playing a dickhead run is gonna end in a ruined savefile, but honestly, I think the benefits outweigh the negatives here.

You already NEED to play the game multiple times to finish all Social Links anyway, Take more of an advantage of that.

Uh….. well I’m not one to blame all his arrogant, cocky, hubris on the parasite. One thing I loved Noah saying at SDCC was that David was now going to have to take responsibility for his less desirable qualities and not just blame the Shadow King.

I just watched them again on a fabulous 4DTV and I’d have to say oddly perhaps as much as I love all of them…Ep 6 in the alt-Clockworks is really good. We get more back stories and get to know all our favorite characters a bit better

Not at all! Feel free to send as many asks as you’d like. I really appreciate it when people are interested in what I have to say. I’ll get to your other asks momentarily.

Really, I just want it to be good. Outside of that, though…I’d prefer a total reboot over a continuation. I’d love to see certain plot points and ideas come back, but I want to see the story done over from scratch. That would give them an opportunity to turn the focus where it should’ve been all along: characters and world building. There are a ton of amazing ideas in DP, but the comedy, superhero angle, and episodic nature kinda hurt the quality of the show sometimes.

A lot of the time.

Sure, there wouldn’t be a ton of surprises at first if you just retold a lot of the same stories but better, but I’d be sad if I had to accept that I’d never see some of these ideas reach their full potential. After all, though it’s flawed, I do still love the original series. I would, of course, prefer mostly new material, but I think a lot of us have at least one episode we wouldn’t want to be excluded from a new series canon.

Those are just my wishes, though. If we got a completely fresh start that changes everything but the core of the show, I’d still watch it.

Again, as long as it’s made with love, I’m up for seeing anyone’s take on the ideas in the show.

As long as Danny can be happy by the end of it.


So seeing as this month is Pride Month I thought I’d introduce the characters’ sexualities! (click for better quality! Tumblr icks it up!)

Paige- my main character, is bisexual! She likes both men and women (her first crush was on a girl, make of that what you will). 

Skye is a pansexual- one whom doesn’t really give gender that much of a thought (probably because of her older sister but spoilers so I can’t reveal too much). 

And while these two have male romantic interests in the main story, that never invalidates their sexualities :) they’re free to love whomever they love (which is an issue that’s really, really personal for me for lots of reasons).

He sustained a major head injury, and now he's bedridden. Sometimes, he would dream of a specific incident in his past, but most have a surreal quality about them. In and out of consciousness, he tries to weave the meanings of these dreams while figuring out why the friends and family who visit him refuse to talk/deflect questions about his accident.

Hello, dear :)  I would read something like that in a heartbeat, just so you know.  I love stories with slow exposition and psychological mysteries <3  I’ll be wishing you plenty of good luck and inspiration!

Anyway.  Dream sequences are done a lot of different ways, and none of them is concretely better than the rest.  It largely has to do with how often these dreams occur, how long they are, what POV you want them in, and where in the chapter they occur.  I’ll give you my personal opinion:

  • How often?  This will largely affect how your sequences fit into the plot.  More frequent dreams will create an episodic, clue-by-clue kind of intrigue– rare dreams will come more as surprise treats, and can be longer, revealing more information.  If they are a tag at the beginning or end of every chapter, you’ll have more room to flesh them out (and less chance of boring readers).  If they come maybe every five chapters, they can also be used for foreshadowing or help to resolve long-run mysteries/subplots.  It’s really up to you.
  • How long?  Obviously, if they’re less frequent, they can be a bit longer – but I wouldn’t make them too long, for fear of distracting from the main plot.  Just get in, make your point, and get out – if that’s difficult to do on your first pass, just write them and make them shorter with editing later.  Focus on certain details which tie them into the main plot (e.g. a key item he receives from home which triggers a memory).  Keep a strong theme and build up to a climactic moment, then cut it off – because really, don’t we always wake up at the best part of the dream?
  • What POV?  Even if your dreams are all for the same person, they may be third-person omniscient, third-person limited, or first-person.  It all depends on if you want to see things through your character’s eyes – if you want it to be like your character watching a movie or living in one.  Do you want to describe your character’s thoughts and feelings in the dream, or stick to what’s being seen?  How much involves the character personally, and how much is symbolic?  Remember that if you choose a different POV, you’ll need to put a marker (and probably different formatting – italics is a common method) to distinguish dreams from main prose.
  • Where in the chapter?  The previous factors will help you determine this.  If you’re writing short, frequent dream sequences from a different POV, it would be best to keep the sequences consistent and separate from the rest of the chapter – maybe right at the end or beginning.  With longer, less frequent dream sequences, you can afford to be less systematic, which may be better for your story.  You can even make them into their own chapters, if they have enough meat for it.

Lastly, I’d advise you to make sure these dream sequences aren’t used for “effect” or an unnecessary subplot.  They need to have substance, every time, or you’ll have to cut some of them out.  They also need to be engaging for the reader, so no one skips to the next main-plot scene.  Dream sequences must have an (eventual) effect on the main plot, because the protagonist, themselves, is also experiencing them.  And the dreams should have some sort of connection to each other – a common thread that links them all to the same subconscious, the same memories, the same story every time.

Hi, love. I was wondering if you could give me some advice. How do you deal when you worked really hard on a fic and you feel like the attention/comments/kudos/etc. it's getting isn't what you hoped for? I know us writers are supposed to do it for the enjoyment of it and such, but I also don't want to feel like I'm writing into a vacuum, you know? Sometimes I feel like my stories don't matter, that I should quit.

oh, gosh </3 it can be heartbreaking and very discouraging, i know. it happens sometimes for me when i write a story about something that either means a lot to me or is very personal to me and not many people care or react to it. or, yanno… any femslash i write, ahaha. it’s tough. i definitely have days where i feel like ‘fuck it, why do i bother?’, but it always passes. 

what i have truly realized lately is that writing for even one person who gets it and loves it is so fucking worth it. sometimes i write stories just for @homo-pink and email it to her, and just knowing that she’s read it is better than three hundred comments from other people. i know that isn’t a lot of consolation or wisdom, but it’s the truth, at least for me. or writing something just for a few close friends, it’s enough. it really, truly is a matter of quality over quantity. having just five people read something you write and really, really get it and love it is better than a hundred who just kinda liked it, does that make sense? 

and if you don’t feel like you even have those few people, just keep writing. try engaging with people, either in comments or elsewhere on social media. find people who like the things you like and befriend them. building a tiny community around yourself, no matter how small, makes you feel so very not alone, even when it comes to your stories. 

please please don’t give up. keep writing, find your family. it’ll be so worth it, i promise<33
