and i know miles is meant to be a man but oh well

anonymous asked:

Hi! I love your writing! Can you write an Andriel fic where someone (nathan's men, burglar, you decide!) breaks into Neil's apartment while he's face timing with Andrew and Andrew is all worried and stuff over the phone :)

thank you so so much, precious anon! ask and you shall receive. also on AO3.

send me prompts :)

“And if I move Davis to the left, then Salazar has way too much ground to cover. But if I don’t, then he’ll have to keep up with Rhodes, and we all know he can’t handle her…” Neil is going round and round with these ideas for new plays, mostly to himself. Andrew flicks his eyes away from the zucchini he is currently dicing to look at Neil on his computer screen, scribbling away in his notebook approximately 1,226 miles away.

He watches Neil stop writing. Tilt his head to left. Sigh. And draw a giant X over everything he’s been working on for the past hour and a half.

Andrew rolls his eyes and shakes his head, though he really doesn’t know why he is surprised. Neil’s new position as the leading striker on the Baton Rouge Pirates includes more responsibilities than he had on his first pro team. Neil will undoubtedly be up for several hours working on this one play, and Andrew will be a silent spectator, contributing the occasional snarky comment when asked for his opinion.

Finished with the zucchini, Andrew adds it in with the rest of the vegetables and tosses them into the pan with his already sizzling potatoes. He moves to the sink to rinse the knife he was using and return it to the knife block on the counter, a house-warming gift from Bee.

Neil is still thinking out loud, going on about Davis’s apparent lack of speed and general know-how. Truthfully, Andrew could not care less about any of it. But he finds that just the even sound of Neil’s voice makes him feel more relaxed, a little less on edge than usual. Even if he is just droning on about Exy, it’s almost like they aren’t on different sides of the country. They FaceTime at least twice a week, and it brings Andrew much more comfort than he will ever be willing to admit. He likes Denver, but not as much as he hates Neil.

“Ugh! I’m done. I’m so done. If I look at this for another second, I’ll light it on fire,” comes Neil’s exasperated complaint. Andrew is tending to his vegetables, but he can hear the shuffling of paper and what sounds like a pen hitting a wall.

“Luckily for you, I disabled your fire alarm,” Andrew says, purposefully ignoring Neil’s tantrum.

Andrew turns in time to witness Neil’s dramatic sigh, complete with his head rather forcefully meeting his folded arms on the table. Andrew rolls his eyes, yet again, and turns the stove off before plating his masterpiece. He walks over to where his laptop is sitting on the counter and picks it up, taking Neil with him to the table. Neil must notice all the noise because he finally sits back up and rests his chin in his hand.

They look at each other for a moment before Andrew drags his gaze away and settles his attention on something else, anything else. This is his least favorite part. The way they can see and hear each other, almost feel like they’re together, but then he can’t even make actual eye contact with Neil. It’s trivial, really. It shouldn’t bother him this much, but it does. The awkward cycle of looking at Neil, then looking at the tiny screen in the corner housing his own reflection, then attempting to look into the camera like maybe Neil will understand what Andrew won’t say.

“Staring,” Andrew says, mainly as a distraction from these unwelcome thoughts.

“Uh-huh,” Neil snorts in response, like he can see right through Andrew. He probably can.

Andrew looks back to see Neil look to his right and let a small smile creep onto his face. He vanishes from view for about thirty seconds, then reappears with an armful of Sir Fat Cat McCatterson.

“Oh look. It’s still alive. Joy.”

Neil laughs. “Shut up, you adore him and you know it.”

“I hate him slightly less than I hate most other things.”

Neil tosses Andrew a triumphant smile. “Exactly.”

Andrew offers only a noncommittal grunt in return.

“So what should we do when I’m off next week? I bought my ticket already, by the way. I get in at 9:45 Sunday night.”

“We could drive to the top of Mount Evans, and I could leave you there,” Andrew replies.

“Finally find a decent place to hide my body? I’m actually a little disappointed. You should at least cross state lines, getting rid of me a mere 65 miles away is too suspicious. You know they always suspect the boyfriend first.”

Andrew lets the term slide in favor of silently flipping Neil off.

Neil’s ensuing laughter is cut short when he turns his head sharply to the left, toward his front door.

“What?” Andrew asks.

Neil is quiet for several seconds, much too long for Andrew’s liking.

“I think someone just picked my lock.”

Office Job (M)

CEO!Jimin x Reader

Warnings: SMUT, oral, rough, anal?

Word Count: 3,853

Summary: You just started a new job as the assistant to the CEO of a big company. Turns out the CEO is your high school crush…

A/N: This is my fic, I’m just re-posting it on my sideblog.

This is it, you thought as you walked up to the impressive building of your new company. It’s your first day on the job working at the company of your dreams. You look up, slightly intimidated by the sheer size of it all, and the expectations of your role. You take a deep breath and continue walking in, shiny new employee pass around your neck. You step into the crowded elevator and wait impatiently for it to take you up to the 20th floor. You step out into the reception area, and walk up to the desk.

“Hi, I’m y/n; it’s my first day here and I’m supposed to meet up with Mr. Kim?” you say, unsure if your information is correct.

“Hi y/n, I’m Ava. Welcome to Park Enterprises. Have a seat, Mr. Kim will be here shortly.” she says with a smile. You return her smile and take a seat, and wait. Two minutes later, a tall, lean, handsome man walks through the door.

“Y/n?” You stand up and walk to him, offering your hand. “Hi, I’m Namjoon. I’ll show you around and get you settled.” He shakes your hand firmly, offering you a warm, adorable dimpled smile. “Follow me.”

An Introduction to Viktuuri

The main fandom classics, and essential reading!

Until My Feet Bleed and My Heart Aches by Reiya (197k) Explicit
‘…Of all the rivalries in the world of sports over the years, perhaps none has become so legendary as that of Russian figure skater Viktor Nikiforov and his rival, Japanese Yuuri Katsuki…’
A single event changes the course of Yuuri’s life, throwing him into a bitter rivalry with Viktor Nikiforov that spans across his entire skating career. But as the years go on, rivalry and hatred begin to develop into something very different and Yuuri doesn’t seem to be able to stay away, no matter how hard he tries.
Hatred and love are two sides of the same coin and even though everything changes, some things are still meant to be.
Comment: Absolutely legendary fic in the fandom, but be warned, its like wading through a sea of angst and feelings. So many feelings.

Masquerade by Ashida (54k) Explicit
“Just say the word.” came the whisper as Victor stepped close, behind them Yuuri was aware of guns out and at the ready, of confused men and questioned loyalties, here Victor was offering, and Yuuri was too selfish to say no.
“Ok.” Yuuri smiled as this game of masquerade came to an end, what would happen now, he didn’t know, he would probably die, his family would come after him and try to put a knife in his back or a bullet between his eyes, none of it mattered, because together they would fight, and the rest of the world would finally burn.

Excelsior by powerandpathos (77k (WIP)) Explicit
Yuuri wanted the reporters to leave knowing one thing: That he had found Viktor in a way that they had not; that Viktor was his in the same way that he was not theirs: utterly, entirely, completely.
Yuuri has won the Grand Prix, which was everything he thought he wanted. But for Yuuri, an end to skating could mean an end with Viktor, and when two female skaters approach them with an offer that could make them or break them, they are put to the test more than ever. Can they rise higher than they already have?

„Attention! Flight 343 from Sydney to New York is now boarding. Please make your way to gate 4.“

You gathered your backpack and started walking towards the gates, flicking your eyes up and down between your phone and the directions to gate 4. This was your first time abroad on your own and you were quite nervous at airports, fearing you’d board the wrong flight.

You followed the directions and some people that seemed to be heading the same way. You checked in successfully and boarded the plane, you were greeted by a lovely flight attendant wishing you a safe flight.

„19A.. 19A..“ you murmured to yourself looking at the numbers above the seats, looking for your own. Of course, you figured, that’s what the A meant. 19A was an aisle seat. You sighed and stuffed your backpack in the compartment above the seats and made yourself as comfortable in the comfortable leather seats that came with such long distant flights.

You were in the middle of texting your friend Genevieve of your safe boarding that you didn’t notice a man standing right next to you, holding a ticket of his own. The man cleared his throat loudly and you snapped your head in the direction of the voice.

„I think that’s my seat.“ He pointed his long slender finger to the seat next to yours.

welcome to the avengers, buck (bucky barnes one-shot)

Plot: You’re a mutant with the ability to control the emotions and feelings of those around you. You’re also the team medic, traveling with the team and fighting if need be. Bucky is the newest addition to the Avengers, and you try to welcome him to the team. Unfortunately, things don’t go as smoothly as you planned.

Pairing: Bucky Barnes x Reader

Warnings: none but I maybe cursed?

A/N: i wrote this and posted it on my sideblog, but then I stopped writing there. so i thought i’d just bring this over here and leave that blog behind. i hope you guys enjoy it! pls remember that no gifs are mine. (also pietro is alive here)

It was a little over 11 AM, and you had just woken up. You walked over to the kitchen where Clint and Natasha were groaning and holding their heads.

“What? Did a few games of beer pong not help you two?” You chuckle and begin making coffee.

“I’m telling you, that was no beer. Tony probably spiked the beer. He’s the only idiot who’d spike an alcoholic drink with more alcohol,” Clint lifted his head and covered his eyes. “Why is it so bright, Y/N? Make it stop.”

“Beer isn’t that alcoholic. Tony always likes making the party games a big deal, can you blame him for making the drink more fun?” You smile and pour out two cups of coffee for the hungover Avengers. “And Clint, babe, it’s called the sun. It’s bright because it’s the day time and I can’t stop that.”

Clint grumbles as Natasha practically inhales the coffee and holds her cup out to you, pouting as though asking for more. You sigh and pour her another cup. Just as you hand her the cup, Cap walks in with a rather rugged, scraggly looking man with a metal arm. They stand at the doorway to converse and before you get a chance to ask who he is, Nat begins talking as though reading your mind.

“Bucky Barnes,” Natasha smirked as Steve continued talking to the shaken man. “One of Cap’s oldest friends and the newest addition to the Avengers. If there’s one thing you should know about him, it’s that he’s temperamental. Stay away from him Y/N.” She downs her coffee and continues. “And don’t mention his metal arm.”

“Temperamental?” You raise an eyebrow at the Black Widow. “There isn’t a single Avenger who isn’t temperamental, Nat. If you think that I’m gonna leave our newest edition out in the cold, you’re dense. Besides, he’ll have to take his final assessment with me. He’ll be top notch before you know it.” You pour out two cups of coffee and make your way over to Steve and Bucky.

“Y/N,” Steve smiles, relieved that you’re not giving him or Bucky the cold shoulder. “This is my friend Bucky. He’ll be joining the Avengers soon.”

“Pleasure to meet you, Bucky,” you smile at the handsome brunette in front of you. “I’d shake your hand, but I’ve got coffee in both of them. Here,” you hand him a cup and Cap the other. “Welcome to the Avengers.”

“The pleasure is mine,” Bucky spoke out hoarsely. “I hope everyone is as warm and welcoming as you are.”

“I hope so too. But the Avengers are a wild bunch. They’ve been through a lot, Bucky. It’s hard for them to trust each other some times. If they come off rough, please don’t take it personally,” you place your hand on his shoulder and smile warmly.

“What’s your place in the Avengers, if you don’t mind me asking?” Bucky smiles at you and Steve looks shocked. “Steve told me your name but not much else.”

“Yeah because she walked over with coffee as I was about to go into detail,” Steve huffs and you chuckle.

“I’ve got it from here, Rogers. You go brief the other knuckle heads. I can watch over Bucky,” you smile and Steve looks at you hesitantly before nodding.

“Stay safe you two,” he yells over his shoulder as he walks over to Clint and Natasha.

“So,” you smile and look over to Bucky. “I’ve got a bit of an odd roll if we’re being honest here. I’m a doctor but I fight alongside them when they need me. There’s not much to me, to be honest.”

“I doubt that,” Bucky chuckles and looks at me oddly. “I’m never really comfortable with anyone at all, why am I so comfortable with you?” He muses and you remove your hand from his shoulder.

“S-sorry, I-I guess that’s my fault. I meant to calm you down a little, and I may have put in a little too much energy,” you bite your lip and Bucky looks at you, confused. “I have the power to control emotions, feelings.”

Originally posted by rohgers

“Oh,” his eyes widen briefly before hardening. “So you were trying to manipulate me, to control me like THEY did.”

“Wha-no!” Your eyes widen at his last statement as you take a step back. “I would never be so ignorant, Bucky. I can’t control my power yet. Sometimes it becomes a little overpowering.” You give him a tight lipped smile and step away some more. “I’ll keep my distance from you, but feel free to come to me if you need any help.” Without waiting for his response, you walk away. You decide it’s best to keep some distance between yourself and the handsome Winter Soldier.

A Few Months Later

Bucky’s been in the tower for a little over three months and he was doing exceptionally well. He’d overcome all the physical hurdles almost immediately. Next, Clint and Natasha worked on his reflexes and memory training. He then had to work on hand-to-hand combat with the twins, in the event that we come across anyone else with superpowers. Now, it’s time for his final assessment: his mental examination with you.

You and Bucky started off on the wrong foot, and for the first month you did all that you could to avoid him without being rude. Eventually, he caught your rift and felt this sinking feeling in his gut. He got Cap to talk to you about it, and you realized that maybe you weren’t being as subtle as you’d hoped.

Soon enough, you’d show up to his training and his assessments. You even managed to get a smile out of him as you cheered him on during his physical examination. You eventually grew a soft spot for the scruffy brunette, just as he had one for you.

And now, he’s sitting in front of you, nervous as can be.

“James, please, I can feel your heart beating a mile a minute, and I promise that I’m not using my powers,” you grab his hand and try to soothe him, human to human. “This is not going to be what you think it is. I promise.”

Buck breathes in and out, trying to relax just as you had asked of him, but he could not help it. He remembered the room he was in when HYDRA was assessing him, and this is what your room reminds him of.

You quickly catch on to his quick glances and short breaths, remembering what you read about his previous assessments.

“Oh, crap. James I’m so sorry,” you stand immediately, gathering your clipboard and a few other essentials. “Come on.”

“What?” He looks up at you, confused. “We haven’t started the assessment yet, have we? Or–oh crap! Did I already fail? W-wait no, I–”

“James, look at me. Please relax. I promise your assessment hasn’t yet started. You will not fail this, I’ve got you,” you smile warmly at him and hold out your hand. “Trust me, please.”

“Oh,” he hesitantly looks up at you, your smile almost immediately calming his nerves. He grabs a hold of your hand and nods. “Okay.”

He watches you, his gaze softer than you’d seen before. You clear your throat and look away, but his gaze lingers.

“W-what? Do I have something on my face?” You try to remove your hand from his to check your face, but Buck doesn’t let go.

“No, Y/N. I just wanted to thank you. You welcomed me warmly the first day, and here you are: saving me during my last assessment,” he smiles and kisses the back of your hand. You blush in return and nod.

“I’ll do whatever it takes to make sure you’re back and better than ever, for yourself more than anyone. Now, come on,” you whisper and slowly pull him up. “We can continue this on the roof.”

He looks at you, slightly bewildered but still happy to get out of the small room. He stands and holds on to you, scared that you’d leave him if he let go. You two walk out of the room and you smile ahead as he smiles softly down at you.

You two step into the loud dining room and all heads turn to you. Almost immediately, a hush falls over the normally rambunctious group. You and Bucky stop walking and look up to see everyone watching you, jaws practically touching the floor.

“What, you didn’t see that coming?” Pietro breaks the silence, everyone else groaning as he brings back his famous one liner.

Because I’m confused on how that would work.” You walk into the small studio Daveed built into his home. You stop in the doorway and look on with admiration, seeing their passion for the subject they are discussing so clearly etched on their faces.

A murder of assassin prompts

So, I have a few requests for this type of character in my inbox, so I thought I’d make an assassin themed prompt post. Happy writing!

Prompts about an assassin that’s supposed to be dead and in servitude to a reaper?

Hello there, do you have any prompts for a civilian finding out their best friend is actually a dangerous assassin? Thank you in advance

Prompts for a blind druid ave a snarky assassin who likes fire a little too much?

  1) The reaper snatched hold of the assassin’s wrist and squeezed hard.
“I’ve told you, we don’t interfere with death. We do not kill. We are here only to collect the departed.”
The assassin scowled. “You might have picked the wrong assistant. Come on - this is boring. He’s ancient anyway, what is dying a few days earlier?”
“No.”

2) Their best friend stared back, frozen and utterly horrified.
The assassin held their hands up in a placating gesture. “I’m sorry, I didn’t want you involved in this.”
“There are bodies in my kitchen,” they whispered. In shock. “Are you going to kill me for seeing that?”
They should. They didn’t want to, but they should.

3) “If you are looking to kill me,” the druid said. “You need to try harder. I can smell the ash on you for a mile off. Honestly, I was hoping you’d at least be a little bit of a challenge.”

4) “I don’t know why you’re punishing me for my life choices, surely my job has helped you with yours?” the assassin muttered. “This is not how you treat your best supplier.”
“Surely this can’t be of inconvenience to you?” the reaper replied. “If you enjoy helping me so much?”
“Oh come on!  “If they weren’t meant to die, they wouldn’t have or some shit. You could have just stopped me.”

5) “Oh, relax. No one’s going to hire me to kill you and I’m a professional. No check, no bodies on the deck.”
“Everything I know about you is a lie! Don’t act like this is nothing. Like murder is nothing to you!”

6) “Don’t even think about it.”
The assassin paused, hands still cupped ready to strike the flint. “I swear you have eyes in the back of your head.”
“What do you imagine I where a cowl? The locals would panic.”

7) “You know,” the assassin said. “You could always hire me to kill whoever took the hit on you instead.”
“Doesn’t switching sides hurt your professional credibility?”
“Your husband’s not the mob, he’s a twitchy rat who would deny ever even hiring me.”
“Why do you even care?”

8) “I’m retired.”
“So you don’t think you could do it?”
“Fuck you, man. I’m not seven. Reverse psychology don’t do shit.”
“So you don’t think you could do it. It’s alright, you just stay in with your bingo.”

9) Well, this was absolutely not supposed to happen. The assassin loved their job, they were invisible, a ghost in the city that left death quicker than anyone could see. They were not supposed to be seen.
The other took one look at them, before bolting.
The assassin cursed and took off after them.

10) “Now, don’t tell me you’re having a pang of conscience? That’s cute.”

Dancing On My Own: Part 1

Pairings: Steve Rogers x Reader / Bucky Barnes x Reader

Warnings: Language, Drinking, and Angst

Word Count: 637

Summary: Bucky Barnes never imagined himself falling in love with anyone, especially his best friend’s girl. While he had harbored secret feelings for you over the last few years he had always told himself if it was meant to happen it would. You were one of his closest friends, and the thought of losing you because of his own feelings paralyzed him. He hadn’t planned on Steve building up the sudden courage to ask you out on a casual date. Even as your relationship with Steve progressed Bucky held out hope that you would realize Steve wasn’t the man for you. Of course his plans were shot to hell when Steve decided to surprise everyone and propose to you on your birthday. Had he missed his shot, or would he be willing to risk both of his closest friendships in hopes of winning your heart?

Author’s Notes: This story came to me in bits and piece as I listened to “Dancing on My Own.” Everyone knows I’m a sucker for angst.

I love hearing from all of you! Please let me know if you would like to be tagged/removed.

Bucky sighed to himself as he turned back to the bar. He couldn’t continue to watch Steve twirling you on the dance floor – or the way you looked at Steve as you smiled brightly at him. He felt sick to his stomach with jealousy. He drained his glass of scotch and grimaced as he internally chastised himself for thinking of his best friend’s girl.

“I told you – you should have said something to her years ago,” Nat’s voice rang out beside him.

“Easier said than done,” he muttered miserably as he turned to look at the spectacle yet again. Steve had thrown you a surprise birthday party with all of your closest friends, and you were having the time of your life. “I just…” Bucky stopped himself before he could finish his sentence. It was bad enough to think it – he couldn’t bring himself to say it too.

“I know,” Nat replied softly with a sad smile as she placed her hand over Bucky’s. She had been the only person he had confided his feelings to when he was no longer able to keep them to himself. Of course he should have just manned up and told you to begin with. Maybe if he had done so he would be the one dancing with you and not Steve. Bucky groaned as he ran his hands through his hair.

“Come on Barnes,” Nat replied as she grabbed ahold of his hand.

“Where are we going?” he asked puzzled.

“I’m taking you dancing,” she replied with a grin as he reluctantly followed her to the dance floor.

You were having the time of your life as Steve twirled you around. “Okay, stop stop!” You squealed, completely out of breath, as he brought your body close to his. “Some of us aren’t super soldiers!” you laughed as Steve chuckled. “Where’s Bucky?” you asked concerned as you scanned the dance floor.

“Over there with Nat,” Steve responded as he threw his chin in the direction of his best friend, who was laughing as he twirled Nat around. You felt a sudden pang of jealousy that you quickly swallowed down. You reasoned with yourself that you were just being protective of your best friend.

“How long has that been going on?” You asked – not masking your annoyance as well as you had hoped.

Steve laughed. “Buck’s a grown man – he can take care of himself Y/N. I assure you,” he responded as he squeezed you tightly to him.

You had been with Steve for over a year now, and most of it had been great. He was always the gentleman, and always went out of his way to go the extra mile. He was quite the fan of grand romantic gestures – which you appreciated. However, even with how great Steve had been you couldn’t help but feel like something was missing. You had been trying to bury that nagging feeling desperately – how could something be missing when you were dating Captain America? There was just no way. Nevertheless, you were completely shocked when the music stopped, and Steve went down on one knee to the gasps of your friends.

Bucky froze at the sight of Steve lowering himself. “This cannot be fucking happening,” he muttered as Natasha crashed into him with an audible “Hey!”

“Oh shit,” Nat whispered as she followed Bucky’s gaze.

More than anything Bucky wanted to disappear. He couldn’t believe what was unfolding before him as Steve fished out a small box from his pocket and opened it to the oooohs and ahhhs of the crowd. Bucky’s eyes met yours and he swallowed hard. For a split second he noticed that your eyes seemed glazed over with fear – not excitement like those around you, and he silently prayed that the next words out of your mouth would be “No.”

One Hundred Miles Away

MASTERLIST

Request: oh what about a dad!shawn one where the reader and their 1 year old son surprise him at an ellen interview? (Shawn thought they were in Canada)

One Hundred Miles Away

“Hello everybody and welcome to today’s show! We have the most exciting guest for you and a fully packed show” Ellen started, looking into the camera.

It already gave me butterflies, knowing my hubby Shawn would walk out at any second now. I still can’t believe, I got to keep that one.

An accident and the aftermath

It’s been a long day, little Y/N was already asleep when Sam buckled her into her car seat. “Buggy already asleep?” Dean asks as the two of them get into the car. Sam sits in the back with you, to keep you company amongst a few other reasons.

“Yeah.” Sam replies as he protectively wraps his arm around your small frame. You promptly lean your head against his chest. A few miles away from the bunker a car t-bones the door of the impala, causing Dean to loose traction as well as control of his car.

“You two okay?” Dean asks when the impala comes to a stop.

“I’m a bit banged up, otherwise okay. It’s (nickname) I’m worried about, she’s in rough shape Dean.” Sam answers worriedly. The eldest Winchester starts mentally chewing out the person that wrecked his car as well as hurt his five year old sister.

After the paramedics arrive everything is a bit of a blur, but time seems to stop when a nurse tells the brothers that their little sister is in critical condition as well as in a coma.

A day later, Cas shows up and does all he can to help you- which isn’t much. “I’m sorry I can’t do more.” He says sadly.

“It’s okay Cas, at least she’s not in critical condition anymore.” Dean answers as he gently rubs his thumb over your small knuckles.

It’s been three weeks and you show no sign of waking up. “I’m going to Bobby’s to fix up baby. Call me if something happens.” Dean says standing up, and as he grabs the keys. The car that is currently in use is one of the spare cars from the garage of the bunker.

“You know I will.” Sam answers as Dean leaves. He then sighs and moves your hair out of your face. “Guess it’s just me and you kiddo.” As expected you don’t make any form of response.

-Meanwhile-
You were back where you started again. You sit on the ground and start to cry- you just want to go home but you can’t. Someone places a gentle hand on your shoulder. “Don’t cry cupcake; if you cry you’re going to make me cry.” Someone says. You look up and see a person with golden eyes and golden hair standing over you. His presence is comforting and for some reason he reminds you of Cas.

“Who are you?” You sniffle as the golden haired man sits down next to you.

“I’m a friend, and I want to help you.” The man then pulls out a lollipop out of nowhere. Before he unwraps it he offers it to you. “Want a piece?”

“Sammy says I shouldn’t take candy from strangers.” You softly answer. The man chuckles.

“I don’t blame the moose for that one- but I assure you, I’m not a stranger. I’m Gabriel, or Gabe if you prefer…” The golden eyed archangel notices how you still don’t trust him. So he decides to change tactics. “Your brothers and Cas sent me. They’re worried about you.” You wipe your runny nose with the back of your hand.

“I miss them and I wanna go home.” You look at Gabriel with watery eyes.

“Hey, it’s okay. I’ll get you home, I promise.”

“Pinkie promise?” You ask holding up your small pinkie. The golden eyed angel smiles as he wraps his pinkie around yours.

“Pinkie promise.”

-Sam POV-
I turn on Y/N’s favorite Disney movie, praying for a miracle. Another reason why I turn on the movie is to get the song You Are My Sunshine out of my head. I look at the screen and smile to myself. The part that is playing is one of my sister’s all time favorite parts. “I can’t quote your favorite part of (favorite Disney movie) by myself Princess.” I say. The only response I get from Y/N is the beeping of her heart monitor.

Hours go by, different nurses stop by just doing their rounds. Good news is, is that Y/N’s condition is slowly improving, but she’s still in a coma. What I wouldn’t give to hear Y/N’s laugh, or see her beautiful (eye color) eyes right now. I gently squeeze my little sister’s hand. It’s extremely soft- insomuch I nearly miss it, but Y/N just squeezed my hand in return. I fish my phone out of my pocket and call my brother. “What’s happening Sammy?” Dean asks when he picks up.

“Y/N just squeezed my hand.” I reply.

“She squeezed your hand?”

“It was an incredibly soft squeeze, I mean it was so soft in I nearly missed it.”

“A squeeze is a squeeze…hey Sammy I need to go. Mind keeping me posted?”

“Of course. Talk to you later.”

“Later.” With that Dean hangs up. That was one of the quickest conversations that I’ve had with my brother- I’m also confused on what he meant by having to go. He more then likely wanted to get back to fixing his car or he had to use the restroom, it’s one of those two.
🐝 🐝 🐝 🐝 🐝
-Your POV-
Gabe has kept his promise on helping you get home, but there hasn’t been any luck on actually getting you back to your brothers. “I’m never getting home.” You sniffle.

“Come on don’t talk like that. It might take a little bit but you’ll get home.” Gabe replies. “We’ll try again later, okay Cookie?” You simply nod in response.

“Why do you keep calling me food?” You randomly ask, you also tilt your head slightly in confusion. Causing Gabe to softly chuckle to himself.

“I’m not exactly calling you food- I’m calling you sugary snacks.” Your friend says as he pops a lollipop in his mouth. “Besides it wouldn’t be fair if I left you out of the mix- I call your brothers all sorts of nicknames.” You let out a small giggle in response. Your friend then offers you a lollipop and this time you accept the candy mainly because you know Gabriel would never hurt you. He’s almost as protective of you as your brothers and Cas.

After awhile Gabe asks if you’re ready to try again to get you home. Surprisingly you shake your head. “Thought you wanted to go home though.” Gabe comments right when you yawn and rub your eyes. “Oh…” you fall asleep against him. Gabe doesn’t let you sleep long though, and he gave you no explanation why he didn’t want you to sleep at the moment.
🐝 🐝 🐝 🐝 🐝
-Sam POV-
Normally Dean and I switch off with who stays with Y/N at the hospital- but I haven’t seen my brother since this morning. So I have a feeling that’s not going to be happening tonight. Cas pops by with an angel I thought was dead. “I thought you were dead Gabe.” I comment.

“That wasn’t really my thing.” The archangel replies as he places two fingers on my little sister’s forehead using his grace to heal her. He mutters a few things under his breath. When he removes his fingers he smiles. “She’ll be okay and waking up soon.”

“Thank you Gabe.”

“You’re welcome- besides I like Y/N.” With that the archangel pops off. Leaving me to wonder about what he meant by that.
🐝 🐝 🐝 🐝 🐝
-no one POV-
When you open your eyes, Sam doesn’t hesitate to call a nurse. About half an hour later you’re moved from ICU to a regular hospital room. “Sammy where’s De?” Little Y/N asks her (eye color) eyes have a bit of worry and fear in them.

“Want to talk to him?” Sam replies pulling out his phone. You nod as Sam dials his brother’s number.

“Hey Sammy, any changes?” Dean asks when he answers the phone.

“Yeah, Buggy’s going to be okay.” Sam answers looking at you, you smile a little bit in reply. “Also someone wants to talk to you.”

“Oh really who?”

“If I told you it would ruin the surprise.” Sam says before passing you the phone “Say hello.” Your brother gently encourages.
🐝 🐝 🐝 🐝 🐝
-Dean POV-
I start to think that Sam hung up on me… but suddenly there I hear a voice on the other line that I haven’t heard in weeks. “Hello?” The person on the other end is my baby sister.

“Hey Baby bug.” I answer standing up and walking away from baby. I’m also trying not to cry at the moment.

“De!” She happily squeaks. I chuckle to myself.

“Whatcha doing kiddo?”

“Sammy put in a movie for me.”

“Did he now, what one is it?”

“(Favorite Disney movie.)” A smile forms on my face.

“Did I miss your favorite part?”

“Uh-huh.”

“That’s okay… hey Buggy could you do me a favor, and give the phone back to Sammy?”

“Otay… love you De.”

“Love you too (Nickname).”
🐝 🐝 🐝 🐝 🐝
-No one’s POV-
Once Y/N is released from the hospital she gets all sorts of confused when she doesn’t see the impala. “That not De’s car.” You say.

“Don’t remind me.” Dean replies, as he climbs into the driver’s seat leaving Sam to help you with your car seat. Before San can sit in the passenger seat you give him the puppy dog eyes asking him to sit in the back with you. You would’ve done it to Dean but he was in the driver’s seat before you could even ask him.

“Not today squirt… besides, you’ve got Cas to keep you company.” Sam says when he’s done buckling you in and when he sees the trenchcoat wearing angel sitting next to you.

On the way back to the bunker you fall asleep against Cas- car rides always puts you to sleep. The angel becomes confused on why he is suddenly being used as a pillow. “Is this normal?” Cas asks gesturing towards you.

“Nine times out of ten yes- but mind keeping an eye on her? Rather not take her back to the hospital because she fell back into a coma.” Sam answers.

“She’s just asleep.” Cas replies as he removes his fingers from your forehead. “She’ll be fine.”

For the first few weeks of you being back home at the bunker, your brothers take turns of keeping an eye on you throughout the night- just to be sure you don’t fall back into a coma.
You’ve given both of your brothers a fair share of heart attacks- mainly because when you get nightmares you always go to one of your brother’s rooms… and you never really go to the brother who is keeping an eye on you that night.
🐝 🐝 🐝 🐝 🐝
It’s Dean’s turn to keep an eye on you- and the hinges on his door softly squeak open waking him up slightly. He tiredly reaches for the gun under his pillow before turning to see who opened the door- it’s just you and your stuffed animal friend. “Why are you still awake kiddo?” Dean asks with a yawn.

“Scary dream.” You reply softly, you then say you stayed with Sam the last time you had a nightmare. Dean disguises a chuckle as a yawn, before making room for you. You then crawl under the covers and snuggle next to your brother absorbing his warmth.

“Night munchkin.” Dean says as he kisses the crown of your head- yeah you’re going to be just fine. Baby on the other hand isn’t going to be roadworthy any time soon… much to Dean’s annoyance. Even though he’ll never admit it, he would rather have his baby destroyed, but his family is alive; than the the other way around… a car can always be rebuilt; however the pain of losing someone that you love is like a wound that never wants to close… a wound that always finds away how to open after one is positive that it’s healed.

PART ONE | PART TWO

The cab ride to the Mikaelson Compound felt terribly long. You had the need to just blow up Kol’s phone with calls and texts. But, you knew better that he would only ignore them so instead, you held back.

You gazed out the window and started slightly shaking your right leg from being so impatient to arrive at your destination already. We’re you really in danger or is it possible that Kol got jealous? Surely enough, you won’t stop until your question gets answered.

Finally after what felt like forever, you have arrived. You paid the cab driver with cash, letting him keep the rest of your change as you rushed out. Thank goodness Hope was spending the night at Hayley and Jackson’s apartment because you planned on raising hell once you got inside.

“Kol!” You shouted as you marched inside the compound. “Kol effing Mikaelson!”

Klaus and Elijah just happened to be sitting at the table exchanging words while drinking scotch. “Oh, hey guys.” You greeted, then went back to using your eyes to scan around the compound. “I know you can hear me!”

Just as you grabbed onto the railing to walk upstairs, Klaus stops you to get a word in. “And may I ask what my little brother did this time? It seems that bloke has a habit of getting himself into a mess.” If you had eyes in the back of your head, you would be able to see the amused look Klaus has on his face. The tone in his voice says it all.

“Long story, Klaus.” You weren’t in the mood to vent.

“I assume you’ve been drinking, miss Y/N? I can smell the alcohol in your breath from here.” Elijah said.

“Yup. Your sisters too.” You continued to make your way up the stairs without caring if Klaus and Elijah wanted to add on or not, you needed to speak with Kol.

After looking in room after room, you found Kol hanging out on the patio taking his time drinking out of a blood bag.

“Okay so you’re playing the ignoring game now?I’m not leaving until you tell me what’s going on.” You spat, stopping just a few feet behind him crossing your arms in front of you.

Kol sighed before speaking. “You don’t give up do you?” He turned to face you, setting the now empty blood bag on the nearby table.

You made no answer. “Fine.” Kol sassed then continued, “Well go on, let’s have a seat.” He pointed over at the bed since his bedroom didn’t have any chairs or couches available to sit on. You swallowed, then followed through, perching yourself at the edge of his bed as Kol did too.

“Okay, so?” You questioned, keeping your eyes on him.

“I suppose, seeing you with that vile man made me uneasy. I wanted to snap his neck the moment I saw him speak to you. But seeing as Marcel has these rules, I simply cannot.” Kol said.

“First of all, that man was very polite to me. And secondly, how in the world did it make you feel so uncomfortable that you just had to ruin our night out?” You asked, fixing him with a stare as you await your answer.

“I’m aware that we had these bloody rules about not allowing ourselves to feel feelings for each other. I mentally punish myself for it everyday.”

“Um what?”

Kol took a deep breath. “I, Kol Mikaelson, have unintentionally fallen for my…fuck buddy.” He admitted while forcing a smile.

You stifled a laugh and fell silent for just a moment. If you could, you’d pinch yourself to make sure you weren’t dreaming. How in the hell did you get so lucky?

“My apologies, darling. I know this is uncomfortable for you since it’s obvious you’re to trying to move forward with your life and all.” Kol stood up off the bed, he frowned, feeling embarrassed because he assumed you don’t feel the same way he does. “You asked, so I answered.”

“Oh no no no. I’m just processing this right now. Sit back down.” You patted your hand next to you on the firm mattress. “So when I told you yesterday that I wanted to start dating again. I actually don’t.”

Not a word came out of Kol. He just sat there trying to read your facial expressions.

“I ended up having feelings for you too, but since we made that stupid vow, I thought you followed it.” You confessed.

“Why not bother telling me, Y/N?” Kol questioned, resting his hand on top of yours.

“I could say the same to you, Kol.” You blurted, then softened your tone of voice. “But I hate rejection, so, I figured if I just distanced myself, the feelings would go away, you know?”

“I understand, love. Well since that’s all in order, what shall we do?” Kol quickly lightened the mood. He can’t ever be in his feelings for too long or else he’d go crazy.

You stretched, then made yourself comfortable on the bed by resting your head on the pillow. “I don’t know, you tell me.”

Even though Kol ruined your planned night out, you couldn’t help but get over it, especially since he looks so hot in his button up and you were still a little buzzed. Laying in his bed gave you dirty thoughts of all the sex you had with him. You flirted with the idea of Kol being on top of you right now. And of course, since you were his play thing for those last couple of months, you knew exactly how to get him in the mood.

You brushed your hair with your fingers to one side and teasingly bit your bottom lip, hoping it wouldn’t look too obvious that you’re trying.

“You’re a daft one, Y/N.” Kol chuckled, then crawled over to place himself on top of you. He planted his lips on yours which led to a hot and steamy kiss. You started to wrap your legs around his waist until all of a sudden, he stops and pulls back, giving you a devilish grin.

“Um, what’s wrong?” You questioned.

“Sorry, but that’s all you get, love.” Kol made known with that grin plastered all over his face.

“You’re annoying.” You scoffed and moved him off of you so that you can sit up on the bed.

“Oh don’t be so cross with me. Now that we both fancy each other on a deeper level, you’re going to have to work for it, darling.”

At first you didn’t understand, but you realized that Kol did have a point. “Yup, you’re right. So how do we approach this then?”

Kol took a second to think about it and then an imaginary light bulb appeared over his head. “I have a thought. How about I take you on a date or two and we move from there?”

“I’d love that.” The smile on your face could be seen from a mile away. You leaned over to give Kol a kiss on the cheek. “Pick me up tomorrow night at 7:00.”

“Brilliant.” Kol agreed.

You left the room so that you could end your night with Kol at that. Waking downstairs, you can still see Klaus and Elijah in the same spot. “Great.” You mouthed to yourself.

“Where’s Kol? Ah, let me guess. You rid of him with that dagger?” Klaus implied, taking a sip of his bourbon. Elijah just sat there and decided to mind his own business this time by keeping his opinions to himself.

“Ha. Ha. Very funny.” You joked, then walked out the front so that you could wait outside for your cab. There was no way you were going to wait in the middle of the compound for your cab with Klaus. You were tired and just wanted to go home and get some rest.

As you were waiting, you thought about how excited you are to go on your first date with Kol. You mentally crossed your fingers hoping that this leads to something amazing.

(The First Date…)

You never thought of Kol being the romantic type. Who can blame you though because you were so used to being his booty call that being viewed as something much more will take some getting used to.

The night sky was pitch black as the time is a quarter to 9. Kol told you to dress up and have you meet him at his house. Arriving there, there was a stranger on the driveway dressed in a suit who had special instructions on where you to lead you. You figured Kol had compelled this man.

The man led you towards the backyard in a path that led to the trees which had beautiful lights and lanterns wrapped around and hanging. The end of the path brought you to a table meant for two with high end looking plates and utensils. The table was also minimally decorate with well lit candle and rose in the center of the table. The best part about it, is seeing Kol sitting at the table waiting especially for you.

“Hello, darling. You made it.” Kol smiled, then he got up to pull your chair out for you.

“I mean of course. But oh wow. You did all of this?” You sat down, still looking around amazed with everything.

“I may or may not have compelled someone to help me.”

“Of course you did.” You rolled your eyes at him playfully.

It didn’t take long for the compelled butler (as you call him) to bring out a cart filled with 3 course meals. “Not too shabby.” You commented.

After lots of food and laughter, the night ended successfully. Kol walked you to the car and innocently planted a kiss on the forehead. Butterflies took over your stomach on your drive home and you laid in bed with a gigantic smile on your face.

(Several Dates Later…)

It has been almost a month now that you and Kol had agreed on this whole ‘dating’ thing. To the fortune of both of you, everything has been going great and you were just dying to have sex with him already. You were hoping he was thinking the same thing too.

Today is your day off, so you decided to invite yourself over to the Mikaelson Compound to hang out with Kol. The plan was to watch a couple of movies and maybe even spend some time with Hope if she isn’t with her mom and Jackson. Today would also be the first time that the both of you had alone time in his room since this all started since Kol’s been really strict on taking you out on dates only.

Walking in, you see Rebekah playing with Hope. Kol was just hanging out on the chair scrolling through his phone. It looked as if he was doing it to kill time as he waited on you. “Hey guys.” You announced.

“Hi, Y/N.” Rebekah greeted you, then went back to smothering Hope in kisses.

After Kol heard your name, he looked up and put his phone in his pocket. “Ah, darling. It’s about time you arrived.” Kol stated, greeting you with a hug and a long kiss on the lips.

“Oh you two lovebirds.” Rebekah stopped to compliment.

“So, I brought my favorite Tim Burton movies that we can watch.” You said to Kol, pulling the movies out of your bag for Kol to see, then put it back inside. You would love to give Hope some of your attention, but whenever Rebekah is here, she always tends to hog her.

“Whatever you like.” Kol said while looking at you with loving eyes.

Of course movie time meant cuddling in Kol’s bed under the warm blanket. 30 minutes into the movie, Kol had his hand over your thigh. It wasn’t long until the temptation got to him which led him to slowly traveling his hand high towards your core. Since you’re the one that’s probably wanted it more than him, you were more than happy to allow Kol to do whatever he wanted to you.

You started breathing heavily and let out light moans while he slowly rubbed his fingers in circles through your panties. One thing led to another and the next thing you know, the both of you were ripping each others clothes off.

Before getting too aggressive, Kol stopped himself so that he can take his time with you. This was a first considering when you two were friends with benefits, you were practically attacking each other. But this moment, at this pace was a euphoric experience.

You’ve never made love to anyone like you’ve done with him and you have the confidence to say that he’s the best you ever had, enough to put you to sleep. As Kol was spooning you while you were asleep, he made sure to kiss you goodnight. “So much for finishing this movie, love.” He whispered in your ear.

Animal Impulses (Donald Pierce/Reader)

Words: ~ 3.2k
Warnings: Smut, Unprotected Sex, Mentions of alcohol

There was something so very loathsome about Donald Pierce.

It might have something to do with the fact that he bred and raised kids as killers and let them be put down like animals if they don’t turn out exactly how he wanted.

However, there was also something so very attractive about him, and that made you hate him even more.

You hated how his looks made you blush, how his voice sent shivers down your spine and how you can’t forget about the one time he called you ‘baby’ in that thick southern accent.

And that didn’t only make you hate him more, but also made you hate yourself.

Everything Johnny Cade says in the book.

“Leave her alone, Dally.”

“You sure didn’t show it. Nobody talks to Dally like that.”

“Sixteen.”

“How come y’all ain’t scared of us like you were Dally?”

“Dally’s okay. He’s tough, but he’s a cool old guy.”

“Hey, Two-Bit.”

“Aw, cut it out! Dally was bothering them and when he left they wanted us to sit with them to protect them. Against wisecracking greasers like you, probably.”

“Soda?”

“There was a whole bunch of them. A blue Mustang full…I got so scared..”

“Your boyfriends?”

“Gee, I thought you and Darry and Soda got along real well…”

“It’s the truth. I don’t care.”

“It’s because we’re greasers. We could have hurt her reputation.”

“Man, that was a tuff car. Mustangs are tuff.”

“I can’t take much more. I’ll kill myself or something.”

“Well, I won’t. But I gotta do something. It seems like there’s gotta be someplace without greasers or Socs, with just people. Plain, ordinary people.”

“Ponyboy. Hey, Pony, wake up.”

“I don’t know. I went to sleep, too, listening to you rattle on and on. You’d better get home I think I’ll stay all night out here.

“Okay.”

“Easy, Ponyboy. We’ll be okay.”

“Well, don’t be. You’re scarin’ me. What happened? I never seen you bawl like that.”

“I think I like it better when the old man’s hittin’ me. At least then I know he knows who I am. I walk in that house, and nobody says anything. I walk out, and nobody says anything. I stay away all night, and nobody notices. At least you got Soda. I ain’t got nobody.”

“It ain’t the same as having your own folks care about you. It just ain’t the same.”

“Okay. Okay.”

“Ain’t you about to freeze to death, Pony?”

“I don’t know. But I bet they’re looking for us. We picked up their girls.”

“It’s too late now. Here they come.”

“You’re outa your territory. You’d better watch it.”

“I killed him. I killed that boy.”

“Go ahead. I won’t look at you.”

“Yeah. I had to. They were drowning you, Pony. They might have killed you. And they had a blade…they were gonna be me up…”

“Yeah. Like they did before.”

“They ran when I stabbed him. They all ran.”

“Calm down, Ponyboy. Get ahold of yourself.”

“We gotta get outa here. Get somewhere. Run away. The police’ll be here soon. We’ll need money. And maybe a gun. And a plan.”

“Dally. Dally’ll get us outa here.”

“I think at Buck Merril’s place. There’s a party over there tonight. Dally said somethin’ about it this afternoon.”

“Dally! We gotta see Dally.”

“We figured you could get us out if anyone could. I’m sorry we got you away from the party.”

“Wish I had me a weed.”

“Sure, Dally, thanks.”

“Now.”

“The first stop’ll be Windrixville. I don’t see why he gave me this. I couldn’t shoot anybody.”

“Blast it, Ponyboy. You must have put my legs to sleep. I can’t even stand up. I barely got off that train.”

“That’s okay. I didn’t want to wake you up until I had to.”

“Go ask someone. The story won’t be in the paper yet. Make like a farm boy taking a walk or something.”

“I’ll have to stay here. You go down the road and ask the first person you see where Jay Mountain is. Then come back. And for Pete’s sake, run a comb through your hair and quit slouching down like a thug.”

“You know, you look an awful lot like Sodapop, the way you’ve got your hair and everything. I mean, except your eyes are green.”

“Shoot, you are too.”

“I swear, Ponyboy, you’re gettin’ to act more like Two-Bit every day.”

“Come on inside. Dally told us to stay inside.”

“A week’s supply of baloney, two loaves of bread, a box of matches…”

“I remembered you sayin’ something about it once. And me and you went to see that movie, ‘member? I thought you could maybe read it out loud and help kill time or something.”

“We’re gonna cut our hair, and you’re gonna bleach yours. They’ll have our descriptions in the paper. We can’t fit ‘em.”

“We’d have to anyway if we got caught. You know the first thing a judge does is make you get a haircut.”

“I don’t know either—it’s just a way of trying to break us. They can’t really do anything to guys like Curly Shepard or Tim; they’ve had about everything done to them. And they can’t take anything away from them because they don’t have anything in the first place. So they cut their hair.”

“Oh, come on, Ponyboy. It’ll grow back.”

“No. We gotta bleach it first.”

“Cut the front and thin out the rest. I’ll comb it back after I wash it.”

“Go ahead and cut it.”

“I guess—I guess we’re disguised.”

“Oh, shoot. It’s just hair.”

“Well, we got to get used to it. We’re in big trouble and it’s our looks or us.”

“I’m sorry I cut off your hair, Ponyboy.”

“I know. Things have been happening so fast…”

“Two-Bit shoulda been in that little one-horse store. Man, we’re in the middle of nowhere; the nearest house is two miles away. Things were layin’ out wide open, just waitin’ for somebody slick like Two-Bit to come and pick ‘em up. He coulda walked out with half the store. Good ol’ Two-Bit.”

“Stop it! Shut up about last night! I killed a kid last night. He couldn’t of been over seventeen or eighteen, and I killed him. How’d you like to live with that?”

“I didn’t mean to, but they was drownin’ you, and I was so scared…There sure is a lot of blood in people.”

“This is my fault for bringin’ a thirteen-year-old kid along. You ought to go home. You can’t get into any trouble. You didn’t kill him.”

“I didn’t mean it like that, Ponyboy. Don’t cry, Pony, we’ll be okay. Don’t cry…”

“Yeah.”

“Nope. We’re all cried out now. We’re gettin’ used to the idea. We’re gonna be okay now.”

“I bet they were cool ol’ guys. They remind me of Dally.”

“Yeah…in the manners bit, and the charm, too, I guess. But one night I saw Dally gettin’ picked up by the fuzz, and he kept real cool and calm the whole time. They was gettin’ him for breakin’ out the windows in the school building, and it was Two-Bit who did that. And Dally knew it. But he just took the sentence without battin’ an eye or even denyin’ it. That’s gallant.”

“Golly. That sure is pretty.”

“The mist was what was pretty. All gold and silver.”

“Too bad it couldn’t stay like that all the time.”

“What?”

“Where’d you learn that? That was what I meant.”

“You know, I never noticed colors and clouds and stuff until you kept reminding me about them. It seems like they were never there before. Your family sure is funny.”

“I didn’t mean nothing. I meant, well, Soda kinda looks like your mother did, but he acts just exactly like your father. And Darry is the spittin’ image of your father, but he ain’t wild and laughing all the time like he was. He acts like your mother. And you don’t act like either one.”

“Yeah. I guess we’re different.”

“You’re starved?”

“Yeah. Whatever gave you the idea we ain’t?”

“You sure can cuss good, Dally.”

“You’d better believe it.”

“Gee, it sure will be good to get into a car again.”

“A spy? Who?”

“Cherry? The Soc?”

“Yeah.”

“We’re goin’ back and turn ourselves in.”

“I said we’re goin’ back and turn ourselves in.”

“I got a good chance of bein’ let off easy. I ain’t got no record with the fuzz and it was self-defense. Ponyboy and Cherry can testify to that. And I don’t aim to stay in that church all my life.”

“We won’t tell that you helped us, Dally, and we’ll give you back the gun and what’s left of the money and say we hitchhiked back so you won’t get into trouble. Okay?”

“I’m sure. It ain’t fair for Ponyboy to have to stay up in that church with Darry and Soda worryin’ about him all the time. I don’t guess…I don’t guess my parents are worried about me or anything?”

“My parents, did they ask about me?”

“I was scared. I still am. I guess we ruined our hair for nothing, Ponyboy.”

“Would you rather have me living in hide-outs for the rest of my life, always on the run?”

“Hey, Ponyboy.”

“The window stopped him.”

‘Naw…Too fat.”

“Where’s the kids?”

“Shut up! We’re goin’ to get you out!”

“Get out!”

“Hey, y’all.”

“Don’t…don’t let me put enough grease on my hair. “

“He came by.”

“Came to see Dally.”

“Tuff enough.”

“The book—can you get another one?”

“Yeah, it just hurts sometimes. It usually don’t…I can’t feel anything below the middle of my back…”

“I’m pretty bad off, ain’t I, Pony?”

“I won’t be able to walk again. Not even on crutches. Busted my back.”

“You want to know something, Ponyboy? I’m scared stiff. I used to talk about killing myself…I don’t want to die now. It ain’t long enough. Sixteen years ain’t long enough. I wouldn’t mind it so much if there wasn’t so much I ain’t done yet and so many things I ain’t seen. It’s not fair. You know what? That time we were in Windrixville was the only time I’ve been away from our neighborhood.”

“I don’t want to see her.”

“I said I don’t want to see her. She’s probably come to tell me about all the trouble I’m causing her and about how glad her and the old man’ll be when I’m dead. Well, tell her to leave me alone. For once—for once just to leave me alone.”

“Hey.”

“Useless…fighting’s no good…”

“Ponyboy.”

Stay gold, Ponyboy. Stay gold.”

“The Winter Soldier? Yeah,” you scoff. “The scary assassin? Did you know him? What does he look like again? All I know is that he has a metal arm.”

James glared at his arms and hands, which have been covered with a jacket and a glove every time he encountered you. Even when it was bright out and the sun hit his body, he kept it on. You never noticed.

It felt like yesterday when you received an urgent call from your mother, asking if you were alright. She had been praying that you were safe as she dialed your number into her phone. When you picked up, she sighed, happy that you picked up her call. The Winter Soldier was a few miles away from your home and there were a few reported deaths. You were oblivious to the situation until your mother informed you. Once she told you, you turned on the news. Luckily, he never went by your apartment, but at that moment, you immediately shut your blinds and locked everything. You even kept a kitchen knife by your side because that was the only thing that could protect you. What did the Winter Soldier have to do with James’s speed?

*NOT MY GIFS*

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“Daryl, come on!” I giggled, running up a ridiculous amount of stairs.
“Calm down, you’re gonna get us caught.” Daryl grumbled, despite slightly speeding up.
Daryl and I had been wandering around for hours, only to discover that we’d stumbled across a run down hotel that had been completely and utterly abandoned. The insides were derelict and messed up, but were still relatively intact. The wallpaper was peeling, the furniture in the lobby was damp and the rugs were worn to oblivion.
“Daryl, who’s gonna catch us? There’s nobody around for miles. Live a little, damn.” I chuckled, finally reaching a floor that didn’t look like the plague had hit it.
“Wow… this place must’ve been classy back in it’s day.” I panted, catching my breath.
“How’d you figure?”
“Because I don’t know about you, but I’ve never felt more out of place in my entire life.” I joked, still astounded by the decent condition of the halls.
Daryl and I became best friends when we were younger because we grew up on the same street. We’d go and hide in some park or woods whenever we got scared of our parents. Daryl’s father always beat up his brother Merle, but as soon as Merle left, it was Daryl’s turn. My Dad died when I was little and my Mama started drinking and beating me when she did. Occasionally, I’d get away before she could and find Daryl.
This was one of those times.
“So, what now? We just stay here for the rest of our lives instead of going back?” Daryl sighed.
“Obviously not, we have to go back at some point, but I figured we could just have some space for a little while.” I replied, then headed off to look inside some of the rooms
I found a large room that was surprisingly full. A bed with numerous amounts of pointless pillows, nightstands with decorative lamps, paintings of fields and ominous looking strangers, and near-mint condition rugs.
“Daryl! Come look at this- oh.” I yelled, only to find he’d been standing behind me this whole time.
“Not too bad,” Daryl sighed and jumped onto the bed.
“I’ve definitely seen worse.” I scoffed, shutting the door behind me and wandering around the room.
“We’ve fuckin’ lived in worse.” Daryl uttered, slinging the throw pillows across the room.
I came across a painting of a woman in a long robe-like dress, a glass of red wine adorning her hand and her hair trailing down her back. She had these amazing brown eyes, but they had absolutely no depth or warmth behind them. She looked soulless and quite frankly, a bit lonely.
“Pretty hot for a painting.” Daryl piped up.
“Shut up, Dixon. Keep in in your pants.” I laughed and hopped onto the bed, the oddly soft sheets sinking beneath me.
We laid there for a little while before I propped myself up on my elbows and let out an elongated sigh.
“Daryl, where do you think you’ll be in five years?” I asked.
“God knows. Either in jail or dead, probably.” I wanted to believe that he was joking but he genuinely thought that.
“Where do you want to be in five years?” I rephrased.
Daryl thought for a moment, as if he’d never actually considered it before.
“I don’t know. Maybe in a mechanics. Maybe just kind of riding around. Not back with my old man, that’s for damn sure,” He sighed. “What about you?”
“I don’t know either. I want to do something to help kids though. Don’t want anyone else to go through what we went through. Maybe a teacher?”
“You dropped out of high school.” Daryl chuckled.
“True. Maybe I could open a home for abused kids. Start a business.” I shrugged.
“It’s not a bad idea.” He nodded.
I fell back onto the bed again and tapped my stomach in an uneven beat. Daryl placed a hand over mine to stop me, but I continued over his hand. This went on for another five minutes before he grabbed me and pulled my body onto his and wrapped his arms around me, trapping my arms by my side.
“Daryl, come on! Let me go!” I squealed. He loosened his grip around me and I turned over to face him.
“You’re an ass, Dixon.” I laughed, sitting up and leaning back against his bent legs.
“Yeah, what’s new?” He smirked, not realizing he had his fingers intertwined with mine.
I smiled and let out a small giggle at his self-depreciating comment.
“I really do hope you open that home y’know. I hope you get out.” Daryl said.
“No, I hope we get out. We’ve had each other’s backs since day one and we’re not stopping anytime soon. When I go, I’m takin’ you with me Daryl.” I told him.
He smiled a little and then propped himself up on his elbows.
“You don’t want to drag me around.”
“Yes I do. You’re my best friend. Even if you are the biggest pain in my ass.” I joked.
We both laughed hysterically, but it all came to a halt.
“God, I love you.” Daryl laughed.
I stopped almost immediately, taken aback by his words.
“I mean, uh… I meant… Forget that I said that,” He chuckled awkwardly.
“Let’s not forget it… You mean that?” I asked softly.
His eyes searched around the room, desperately trying to think of something to say, but he didn’t have to.
I placed my hands on each side of his face and pressed my lips to his, and in response, his hands found their way to my waist. Daryl sat up properly and leaned back against the headboard, allowing him hold onto more of me. His hands traveled down to my hips and rested there, gently digging his fingers into my jeans every now and again. My hands switched from his face to the hem of his shirt, which he then fluently pulled off like it was nothing, only breaking the kiss momentarily before continuing. He tossed it across the room, exposing his sculpted, slightly bruised torso and well-placed tattoo. I ran my hands up his stomach and chest, his skin burning up with anticipation. He flipped us both over so his body was hovering above mine, his hips rolling against mine on occasion. I sat up and tore my shirt off, sending it flying in the opposite direction to Daryl’s.
“You sure you want to?” He asked between kisses on my neck.
“Positive.” I confirmed, running my hands through his hair and across his shoulders as he made his marks over my neck and throat.
The next morning, the first thing I felt was Daryl’s warmth radiating onto me. My head was buried in the crook of his neck and his arm was protectively draped over me while he still slept peacefully. I gently placed his arm back by his side and got up slowly as to not disturb him. The first item of clothing I found is Daryl’s shirt, which was at least two sizes too big for me, but I threw it on anyway. I stepped outside onto the balcony and laid my eyes upon miles and miles of emptiness, bar two old women walking their dogs. One of them realized that I was in the abandoned hotel and laughed. She waved sweetly and continued walking, so I figure that she must’ve done the same sort of thing when she was my age. My legs trembled slightly due to the sore, yet oddly pleasing sensation in my core. Suddenly, Daryl joined me on the balcony, wrapping his arms around my waist and hugging me tightly. Glancing back, I noticed that all he was wearing was a sheet hung loosely around his hips.
“Hey, gorgeous.” He whispered in my ear.
“Hey.” I replied, grinning like an idiot.
“What you doin’?” He asked, resting his chin on the top of my head.
“Nothing, just… thinkin’.” I sighed.
I turned to face him and placed a long, lingering kiss against his lips.
“Thank you for last night, Daryl.” I smiled contently.
“It was beyond my pleasure, baby.” He laughed.
“Y’know, I get that this hotels nice, but… I would’ve spent last night with you on a bed made of concrete with no sheets.” He told me.
“Me too. Even though, the bed was kind of a bonus,” I chuckled. “I don’t want to go back…” I said sadly, resting my head against his chest.
“We don’t have to. Let’s just stay here. Or run away.”
I laugh at his outlandish proposal.
“I’m bein’ serious. Y/N… run away with me.”
I look up into his eyes and for the first time, I see genuine sincerity.
“Okay… Okay, lets do it. I love you.”
Happy Valentine’s Day @fairytalesandtimetravel!!! I had so much fun talking to you this month, though I apologize for how infrequent it got as the school year decided to slam everything down on me. Now this is a bit more St. Patrick’s Day than Valentine’s, but I loved your prompt and pulled in some of my own experiences as well ;)
“Doesn’t this country know it’s summer?” Emma grumbled as she pulled her beanie more snugly around her ears.
Her new beanie, made with genuine Irish wool (dyed green, since Mary Margaret said it matched Emma’s eyes), because it was the end of June and Emma had foolishly believed that she could wear summer clothes on this trip around the British Isles.
But apparently Ireland hadn’t received the message that the summer solstice had passed two days before; the rolling green hills were capped with low-hanging gray clouds, blocking any sunshine from warming the air. Everyone had bought out the gift shop’s supply of wool sweaters and scarves the night before, after the news report that the next few days were sure to be more of the same. As she dubiously eyed the path up to the castle, Emma had yet to decide if there was a constant drizzle or if it was just that foggy, but either way the weather was chilly and damp.
And the most infuriating thing of all? The island still managed to be one of the most beautiful places she’d ever been to.
