and how even more perfect they can be

2

Loving how Reiner always looking out for his little Bert, his caring and nervousness toward him can’t be hid even behind his titan eyes. Need more Armoured Titan x Bertolt aesthetic.

Also noticed Bert’s chest is wounded since there’s hot steam coming out, which is in contrast with the anime. When watching the anime ep, I was already thinking “it’s pretty hard to be THAT precise even for Erwin to only cut the wrapping cloth, while Bert’s chest and shirt stay perfect lol” But that isn’t really important so I guess they decided to save work. I do like the visual of steam coming out of a wound as it’s healing tho.

In other news, I received my corset yesterday which was generously bought for me off my Amazon wish list! I never thought that’d happen!

I was so pumped when I got it because the bottom of my ribcage is quite large and the way it connects to my waist prevents me from having any kind of figure. I’ve been excited to start waist training and doing so safely with a corset.

Here’s me after finally getting it on and adjusting it to a tightness that didn’t suffocate me. I’m not gonna lie, this took like an hour, and by the time I got it on, I was already exhausted for the day. You can imagine how I felt when I realized I had it on backwards too! 😆

Corsets are much more annoying to wear than I anticipated; it’s so difficult to sit down with them on unless you maintain perfect posture and they can make you increasingly light-headed even if it doesn’t seem too tight at first. The only thing I really enjoy about wearing one is that it sort of forces you to walk in a feminine way and sway your hips.

Oh and they make for decent selfies, even if worn backwards. lol

let’s talk about

everyone loves this moment and I do to.  It’s perfectly delivered, perfectly set up and its a perfect conclusion to this whole jailbreak.  Lance gets his chance to shine and save the day.  So - can talk about the fact that - Shiro lets him.

I’ve already talked about how, if shit suddenly hits the fan, Shiro’s first response is action.  Someone else talked in their post about how he tends to leap in ahead of the others, even when one of the others might be more suited, simply because he has a meat-shield complex.  This is a split second moment.  They’ve got a chance for one attempt and one alone and if it fails, they’re going to have to go back in and do this the very, very hard way.  Shiro sees what’s happening.  He has a jet pack.  He’s capable of reacting and throwing himself into things and its his nature to.  But.

But Lance says he’s got this - and Shiro stays put.  Let’s talk about the level of trust in Lance, the level of faith in Lance’s competency, the fact that Shiro listens to Lance and accepts his assessment that this moment holds.  They’ve got one chance to do this right - and Shiro trusts Lance enough to let him take that chance.  He does it without a seconds hesitation.  He doesn’t say ‘are you sure?’, he doesn’t head back in in case Lance misses.  He stays put and let’s Lance do his thing, no backup plan or safety net in place.  No matter how Lance may see himself, Shiro very obviously proves here that he sees Lance as a competent and important part of the team and trusts him and his judgement in a time of crisis without hesitation.  Can we please put to rest the fanon interpretation that Shiro ignores or belittles Lance’s place as a member of Team Voltron.  Shiro listened to Lances judgement call and trusted him to make it.

do you mind making some more lance hcs?? I've read all of the other ones like 3 times.

anon that’s a lot of headcanons to be reading lmao.. i don’t shut up about my Blue Boy. This is half headcanon/half character analysis lmao.

WHOM UP FOR SOME LANGST.

  • Lance has a boatload of insecurities, but I don’t think he has depression. (Time to project) What happens is that his ADHD causes him to hyperfocus on his mistakes to the point that he gets trapped in his Hell Brain, stuck in this bad cycle where he constantly berates himself and inflates his personal fears. But he’s normally able to manage because he has a huge support network- his bigass family.
  • There are definitely little kids in Lance’s family, and being around kids who love you is so nice?? Whenever Lance starts feeling weighed down, he plays with his baby siblings/cousins/neighbors and lets their enthusiasm feed his until everyone is bouncing off the walls and being ushered outside. I’ve probably said this before, but Lance was Born to be an uncle.
  • Anyway, Lance is used to being surrounded by people he has a deep connection with who truly care about him and love him. So at the Garrison, when he was far away from his family, he struggled a little bit but ultimately supplemented his human contact quota by befriending pretty much everyone. If he knows that people like him, then he can like himself.
  • Which is why in space he’s kind of… deflating. Because he’s surrounded by people who have rebuffed him before, and it’s hard not to internalize that, ya feel?? Like:
    • Pidge refused to do anything with Hunk & Lance when they were all at the Garrison, which is fair bc she was in Deep Cover, but Lance obvi didn’t know this so he was honestly kind of hurt?
      • All his attempts at friendship and bonding were coldly shut down the moment they left his mouth. Lance spent many a sleepless nights wondering what was wrong with him, what aspect of his personality made Pidge hate him on sight.
      • It… sucks to know that no matter what you do, someone will remain distant, especially if you’re used to making friends. Lance is a fixer, but how can you fix something if you only know part of the problem?
    • Keith straight up forgot who Lance was. And you know that Lance had really built-up their relationship in his mind. Even if it’s because Lance claims they ‘hated’ each other, it’s clear that Lance considered Keith special in that he was a goal to beat/overcome, and he clearly assumed Keith viewed him the same way. So when they reunited and Keith didn’t recognize him… Ouch
      • It hurts to realize that you’ve put way more into a relationship than someone else, but it especially sucks if they never even noticed you in the first place.
      • Also, lots of resentment issues thanks to the Garrison constantly comparing Lance to Keith. Bastards.
    • Shiro is Lance’s hero, but Shiro is such… a jackass to Lance gsdhkjgd I’m so mad about how Shiro has been treating Lance as the show progresses.
      • Shiro kind of… assumes that they’re equals, which normally is fine, but Shiro physically pushes/shoves Lance around, ignores his opinions, and tells him to knock it off whenever Lance acts like himself.
      • And between close friends, that behavior can be ‘acceptable’, but again: Lance looks up to Shiro. So this treatment.. I can only see Lance negatively internalizing it. How good of a teammate can you be if your hero only ever treats you as a joke?
    • And Allura… it’s clear she’s really not interested in Lance’s flirting. Which would be fine, but it’s kind of been their entire relationship so far (mainly because of Bad Writing), so when Allura rejects Lance’s bad pick-up line she kind of rejects any connection at all, including friendship.
      • Like, you can argue that this is Lance’s fault for constantly hitting on her, but Allura’s natural response to Lance is either Carefully Maintained Neutrality or clear exasperation.
      • That’s not exactly… a warm welcome, so I could see Lance slowly just starting to avoid her. Because it SUCKS to enter someone’s line of view and immediately see their smile drop a fraction. It sucks to know that someone immediately has their guard up the moment you try to talk to them. It sucks to feel like you’ve sabotaged any chances before you even knew you had them. It sucks to realize that you, and your personality, made someone feel this way, and that you are the problem. From there, you learn it’s better to just… stay away, and stay quiet.
  • TLDR Lance is really only comfortable comfortable around Hunk and Coran. And the Space Mice, provided they don’t rat him out to Allura.
  • Lance internalizes a lot of stuff lmao. He reacts by overcompensating; when he feels hurt or out of his depth, he amps up his ego, he goes all out with the flirting, he uses bravado to cover up any cracks in his armor.
    • (If you keep making them laugh, then they’re too busy to laugh at you.)
  • Lance is his own worst enemy. If someone yells at him and calls him a failure, he can get righteously angry and ignore what they said or crack a joke to ease the tension. He can deflect. It’s when he’s alone, when he has time to think, that he begins to place more pressure on himself.
    • You know how people can become paralyzed by their perfectionism? They’re so worried about getting the end product perfect that they can’t even start the process. That’s Lance, to some extent.
  • He prunes his own self/image. If he can’t get something right, he cuts it out of his personality. He doesn’t cling to it. He gets rid of anything he thinks makes him a failure, anything that shows that he’s useless. All those branches, traits, imperfections- they’re snipped away. And what he’s left with, he clings to. This is his absolute. This is his foundation. These are the tenants he builds himself up from. He’s the ladies man. He’s the sharpshooter. He’s the funny one. This is what makes Lance McClain worthwhile.
  • So when that foundation gets rocked… it’s bad. And normally, he can spring back, because he has his support network. But right now he’s billions of light years away from home, stuck with a team that only seems to like him 70% of the time.

everyone likes to assume that yoongi must not be very good at english since he hardly ever talks but does anyone notice the fact that when he does talk, his speaking is a lot more structured compared to the other members?? and also he tends to have the perfect reaction to most english statements/questions before namjoon even translates them…….. I feel like this goes for the rest of the members too. It may seem like they don’t understand, but I think that’s just because they’re nervous and in the moment they can’t really think of how to respond properly since so many people are watching them and they don’t want to make a mistake. If they actually had the luxury of taking their time to process and think of a response, they would definitely be more confident in speaking

also now that we know the boys understand more english than they let on, please be careful of the things you put on the internet out of pure ignorance……… bangtan is obviously known for their social media presence but I really fear that one day that won’t be the case due to some stupid fuck who decides it would be fun to send them a rude/sexual/inappropriate/threatening message. constant communication with their fans through social media isn’t something they’re forced to do. they literally WANT to interact with us as much as they can even though it would be so much easier to lay low and keep their personal lives private. please don’t be the reason bangtan becomes hesitant to communicate with their own fans. show some respect.

somebodylost-chan  asked:

I'd like to ask, how do you know when fight/smut scenes are necessary? Or how to make them effective & not simply as fanservice or just for word count? Usually, I find myself skimming through fight scenes as a reader, bored. As a writer, I'm inclined to just 'fade to black' and imply stuff at the next chapters. I'm not really a fight/smut-scene writer, even though my characters know & need to fight. Thanks for keeping this blog. :D

A good fight scene (and a good smut scene for that matter) always works in the service of the narrative. It works toward the cohesive big picture.

From an entertainment standpoint, violence is boring.

You need your audience invested in the characters participating in the violence, in the actions and events leading up to the fight, in the aftermath and how this will effect the character’s overall goals.

In a narrative context, if you’re bored during a fight scene or a sex scene it’s because the build up to that moment failed. The scene itself may also have failed. However, your foundation is what makes your story sing.

Think of a story like building blocks. You’re playing Jenga with your reader on a homemade house, they’re slowly pulling out the pieces and you’re betting you built your blocks well enough to withstand scrutiny. You’ve got to keep them interested long enough to get to the end before the whole thing comes tumbling down.

A fight sequence which works in concert with it’s narrative is enjoyable, doesn’t overstay it’s welcome, and ultimately works to build up the story it’s telling. Fighting isn’t fighting, you see. Combat is a form of problem solving, the fight itself is an expression of the character’s individuality. Everything we’ve been learning about them, their goals, and their behaviors are being put in a pressure cooker and dialed up.

You should be learning about the character as the fight progresses, the fight working on multiple levels in concert with its narrative to get the story where it needs to go. Often, a first fight is like an establishing shot in film. You get a feel for who this character is when under pressure, who they are. Peril can be a great way to get the audience invested, but its up to the author to prove why they should.

Poor fight sequences don’t tell you anything. They’re there to establish the character as capable of fighting but don’t even do that because their concept of combat is generic.

The combatants aren’t individuals expressing themselves, the fight isn’t proving anything except fighting, it doesn’t have meaning except for its attempts to prove the narrative’s poor concept of badassery. This often happens with no regard for the setting’s rules, the aftermath consequences, what the character’s actions will effect in the long run.

It doesn’t mean anything and, while violence is shocking and terrifying in real life, in fiction violence has to mean more than just an exchange of blows.

How many times have you read a book where several mooks show up to get their ass kicked by the protagonist? They limp off at the end and while they’re often in a perfect position to be seen again due to their connections, we never do.

In even just a moderately competent narrative, those same mooks are characters. We’ll see them again in bit roles. They’ll play a role, either to help or hurt later as an aftermath consequence of the protagonist’s earlier actions. These are callback characters we can use to remind the audience of what happened previously in the narrative, and offer up some catharsis.

In a really well written scene, these mooks serve an important purpose when it comes to establishing the protagonist’s character in a quick snapshot. Like the moderately competent character, they come back later to the aid or the detriment of the protagonist. The mooks’ response actions are a direct result of their encounter with the character, often acting as an inciting incident. The protagonist suffers direct consequences as a result of their actions, whether its injury, loss, or the attention of the villain which causes them to lose something. In these fight scenes, you can see the story’s trajectory because it acts as another way to get to know the hero, the secondary characters, the tertiary characters, and whoever else is participating. It’s working on five different levels.

What you often see in a good fight sequence, whether it’s in a written medium or film, is the culmination of a great deal of hard work on the part of the author. A smut sequence is a reward, it’s a way to pay off on the reader’s investment in the relationship between these two characters and the narrative’s investment in them. It doesn’t matter if that’s hardcore sex, or a Victorian hand touch, or a knockout blow to the jaw, the end result is the same. It’s entertaining, satisfying, and even cathartic.

A poor sex scene is just dolls bumping bits. A poor fight scene is just dolls trading blows. Nothing occurs, nothing happens, there’s none of the underlying satisfaction or catharsis in the outcome. You don’t have any investment, no consequences, it overstays its welcome and tells you nothing about the characters.

You’ve no reason to care, so you don’t.

As a reader, you don’t owe a writer attention when reading their work. They’ve got to earn it. If they aren’t, then it may be that the story isn’t for you and that’s okay. Take into account your tastes,

It takes practice to choreograph a fun fight scene. Writing sex and violence is mostly about learning to find your limits (i.e. what you’re comfortable with writing), and overcoming embarrassment. Determine the difference between need and want.

Are you avoiding writing these scenes because you’re scared of being bad at them or because they just don’t interest you?

These are two very different issues, and it’s easy to hide from the first behind the second. Be honest with yourself. If it is fear, then don’t give into it. The easy solution if you’re afraid of being bad at something is to practice. Start looking critically at the media you consume, when you start to get bored during a fight scene or a sex scene, when you want to skip ahead, ask yourself, “why?”. Check out the sequences and stories where this doesn’t happen, and try to figure out the differences between the two.

When it comes to the mechanics of both violence and sex, the more you learn the better off you’ll be at writing it. The more you practice writing violence/sex/romance then the better you’ll be. Like with everything, it’ll probably be pretty terrible in the beginning but the more you practice, the better you get. Writing itself is a skill, but its also a lot of sub-skills built in underneath the surface. Being good at dialogue doesn’t mean you’ll be good at action, having a knack for great characterization doesn’t mean you’ll be good at writing setting description. Putting together great characters doesn’t mean you’ll automatically be good at worldbuilding.

Don’t be too hard on yourself.

All it takes to figure out whether or not the time to fight is right is by listening to your gut.

Remember, the best scenes are based in narrative cohesion and emotional investment. They’re a pay off in and of themselves for your audience, dessert after dinner. They aren’t the meat and potatoes. If you set out to just write a fight scene or write a smut scene then it’ll get gratuitous. Then the focus is on the fight or the sex itself, hangs entirely on their shoulders, and you’ve just upped the ante for how entertaining you need to be.

It’s not “how do I write a fight scene”, it’s “how did my characters get to this point and why are they fighting”. If you start from a character place, it gets easier. The same is true with romance. “How do my characters participate in a romance (sex or not)”.

Make it about the individuals, that’s when it really gets fun.

And, if you get too stuck, try writing fight scenes with characters who don’t know much about how to fight. Sometimes, it’s easier to get into it when you begin at the beginning. There’s a lot less pressure convincing an audience with a character who knows nothing than one at the top of their field.

There’s a lot less stress about “is this right?” when you’re trying to get a feel for the flow if you’re dealing with a character who doesn’t know jack shit. Fight scenes with characters who know nothing can also be really, really, really fun. They’re wild, improvisational frenzies where all you have is the character sorting through their alternative, non-fighting skills trying to figure out how to survive.

Believe it or not, this will help you because you don’t get to cheat with the idea that your character already knows what they’re doing when you don’t. It’ll help you tap into the character, seeing scenarios from their perspectives, and writing to that instead of “generic fight scene”. When you’re unsure, characters who know nothing about the subject matter they’re engaging in but still have to engage are great. They teach you how to write from the standpoint and perspective of the individual. You need those skills just as much when writing characters who are professionals or at the top of their field.

If you don’t think you can write an interesting fight sequence with a neophyte, then that might be a part of the problem. A character doesn’t need to be good at something to be entertaining. A smut sequence where everyone’s fumbling, knocking into each other, embarrassed, stuck in their clothing, cheesy, corny, and laughing can be just as fun (if not more so and more honest) than the ones that generally get envisioned.

For me, good is entertaining and the entertainment is based in humanity but you need to define “good” for yourself in your own writing. Be honest with yourself about your fears and you’ll find a way to bridge yourself to the kind of writing you want to be doing.

Freeing yourself of your own internalized preconceived notions will help a lot, and produce stories that are way more fun.

After hearing about it for a while, I’ve recently started a morning ritual that has already improved my productivity and focus. Initially it sounded like it would take up way too much of my time, but now I’m a total morning pages convert.

what they are

Here’s the basic idea: every morning you take out three pages of paper and free write (by hand! no word docs allowed) whatever comes to your mind. There are no rules about what you write, as long as you write three pages of something

why they help

The reason behind morning pages is that once you have everything down on paper, you can free up some headspace to do other things. It’s also a nice way to pinpoint why you’re feeling anxious, or if something has been on your subconscious. And let me tell you, it works. I’ve found that I easily make up for the time it takes to do them (about 20 minutes) in the time that I would normally be distracted.

how to make them count

Free writing can be difficult to get the hang of. We often feel confined by rules and grammar, so throwing them all out the window feels wrong. Remember that these pages are for your eyes only, they won’t be graded so don’t worry about spelling something wrong or even making them legible to anyone else. My pages are often full of abbreviations and are written in handwriting no one could ever dream of reading. And that is a-okay, because they don’t have to be pretty or thoughtful, they just have to be done. I write whatever comes to mind and just let my thoughts flow. One thing will remind you of the next until you have three full pages in no time.

So what if you don’t know where to start? Just write down everything you have to do today. Write down anything you’re worried about in the future. Write down anything you’d like to do someday. You’ll soon find something that you didn’t even know was bothering you.

I don’t expect to read them again anytime soon, but it may be cool to see in a bit how everything I worried about worked out, so I’m hanging onto them for now. If recycling them is more your speed, that’s cool too. Just don’t be tempted to type them up! If you’re writing on a computer you can go back and change things and will be more tempted to make them perfect. That’s exactly what you want to avoid. Hand writing them will keep them from being perfect so that they can be good

Try it out for a couple days and let me know if it helps. I know that I’ve already seen a huge difference!

In Regards to Hate: On Victuuri

I don’t know what suddenly happened again but there’s a shitton of hate for Victuuri/Viktuuri(/etc) in the tags lately. People are welcome to feel however they want for a particular ship, but I just wanted to give my two cents by tackling the common complaints I’ve seen. I’ll start from the beginning so I’ll be addressing basically all the arguments against this ship I’ve seen so far. I’ve tried to maintain some sort of order for these, but honestly I just winged it at some point.  A lot of these arguments are also heavily character-based, so keep in mind that I’ll be deconstructing several scenes as well as character motivations as I go.  (As a note, this assumes you’ve seen the whole show. Also, I’m only using canon evidence from the show itself.)

This is like an informal follow-up to my super old post but also not really.

No I’m not avoiding work why would you say that.

WARNING: This is a massive post/wall of text. Grab popcorn.

Learning Graphic Design On Your Own

A Quick Note…

Everyone learns differently. Some people like to ask questions in class, others like to watch videos that they can pause and replay, and even more people could prefer to just tinker and see what happens (I’m personally a tinkerer). The first thing you should do when learning on your own (so probably online or through books) is to do some research and know how you like to learn.

So, let’s start with… what even is “Graphic Design”?

Let’s get this straight… graphic designers aren’t fine artists. They are problem solvers, visual communicators, and sometimes curators of information in an aesthetically pleasing way. We organize information and try to make the world an easier-to-understand and more beautiful place. Of course, there are other fields like advertising where we communicate to customers why they should buy certain products. Or there are User Interface/Experience designers that will develop websites and video game interfaces and design how you interact with it. Look into graphic design and see what field you want to be in. What do you want to do with graphic design?

Fun fact, the google definition says: “the art or skill of combining text and pictures in advertisements, magazines, or books.” and to that, I’d like to say we do SO MUCH MORE.

Now that you know what you’re doing…Here’s the VERY BRIEF process!
(I may make individual posts for each step later on)

  1. Learn the basics
    1. Typography, how to use the basic principles of line, shape, color, and so on is usually for everyone no matter your field.
    2. Basics like composition are also very important. If you’re into editorial then typographic spreads will be more of your focus. If you’re in web design then seeing how websites are typically laid out will be a thing to look into. Basic typography, color theory, and principles still apply!
    3. Basics and principles are a google search (or a book) away! Everyone talks about these things ALL the time.
  2. Look up inspiration and develop an “eye” for design
    1. Follow design blogs! Follow other designers! On all of your social media! (There are so many Tumblr blogs and Instagram accounts solely dedicated to graphic design curation).
  3. Look into the big names of the industry
    1. Why were they remembered? Everyone else in the field probably remembers them for that, too.
    2. What was so great about them? Apply what you learn to your own work!
    3. If they’re well known, they probably have at least decent work to get inspired from!
  4. Research is done… time to do some work!
    1. If you’re just starting out, there are some things you’re probably not used to. Doing things by hand with sharpie markers on paper will definitely help train your eye and mind to think more about communication, not pretty things.
    2. Abstract things down into simple shapes. Then try communicating that same object with fewer shapes. Maybe only lines? Geometric style? Play around with communication! This is key when you get into icons, logos, and other visuals that require a more minimal look.
    3. Remember, you make information more easily accessible. The best logos are easy to remember because they are simple and effective. Your work may one day need that kind of punch!
  5. The jump from traditional to digital
    1. It’s time to learn about your program(s) of choice… my biggest piece of advice would be to just mess with it. Learning on your own by trying to make something is one of the best ways to train your mind and body on how to use the programs.
    2. Try every tool. Try making basic shapes. Then make basic objects with those shapes. Then try making a person or something more complicated. Try to test every tool to see what you’d use it for!
    3. Don’t know anything or how to do something? Google it! If you’re asking there’s probably 5+ different YouTube videos, 3+ articles, and 100+ tutorials on how to do it.
  6. Let’s work on projects!
    1. Now that you’re familiar with the history, principles, other designers, and the programs… just keep on making stuff!
    2. Making your own projects (make your own website, business cards, a flyer for a club, a T-Shirt, and so on…) is my biggest recommendation on how to learn graphic design. Actually applying everything you’ve learned will make you think in a problem-solving way! Also sharing things that you’ve made that actually matter is way more fun than sharing a fancy circle you made with no context. (You can say “look at this T-Shirt I made!” instead of “look at this weird circle I made!”)
  7. Get feedback from designers and non-designers
    1. Once you’ve made stuff… ask everyone! Non-designers will give you a client’s perspective of your work. A designer’s perspective will help you grow as a designer and they may see things that you and your average person wouldn’t have noticed. (you’re always free to ask me if you’d like!)
    2. Please remember to not take feedback personally (unless they’re being rude, then just ignore them). You’re learning and growing and there’s always room for improvement. A lot of feedback is not a bad thing!
  8. Stay determined!
    1. Being a designer isn’t easy. That T-Shirt you made that took you a couple days? Someone could say they don’t get it. Other designers could say there was a better way to execute your idea. Another person may even say it looks like something else!
    2. When you design you have to expect to make revisions, rethinking, and making more revisions until it’s at a good enough place to publish. But no matter what, you have to remember that it’s not about PERFECTION. It’s about getting it DONE and learning to grow. No one is perfect, and it’s mostly subjective, so just take the criticism you agree with and don’t apply what you disagree with. As a designer, you should know what’s right, wrong, or what you should consider bringing up to other designers.
    3. KEEP MAKING MORE STUFF! You can even remake older stuff as you go on! Just keep going!

That’s my super brief process!

Now honestly, I could’ve gotten down into the nitty gritty details of each step, but this is basically how I’d suggest going about it if you want to get a head start before getting into college, or you want to just learn on your own.

If you guys have any additional questions or want me to go more in-depth about anything, feel free to let me know! :)

A part of The X Clan, you work alongside them, helping them plan out complicated procedures and worming ways out of complex situations, and Kihyun has a love for that. But his attraction to you is kept in the darkness of unlit rooms and distance between anyone else. You find yourself falling for him too, but you both know the consequence for falling in love in the business.

Kihyun: “Stay safe, I love you.” *Muttering*

{y/n}: “What was that?”

Kihyun: “w-what, I said stay safe, elephant juice!”

Shin Hoseok/ Wonho

He may look sweet, but Hoseok is far from it. He goes under the name Wonho, and makes some of the biggest drug deals in the country. He’s a smart man, and knows how to get away unnoticed. A lot of women fall for his charms, but he knows how to play, and these girls are asking to be played. He has a lot of money, and lives an extravagant lifestyle. He never used to be like this, but after being poor and watching his family struggle, he changed, and now, he lives as though he’s a king and everyone else is beneath him. Everyone else except The X Clan, everyone except for you.

There’s a reason he sleeps around, not because he’s simply arrogant, but because he can’t stand knowing how he feels about you. In such a business, he would rather die than let you be killed, but being in a relationship, death for either is going to destroy the other.

Wonho: “Be careful, won’t you?”

{y/n}: “Careful is my middle name.” *grinning as you leave*

Wonho: “I love you…”

Son Hyunwoo/ Shownu

This leader is anything but simple. He’s complex, and smart. He is the founder of The X Clan and has started such a revolution. He trusts little, but those he does trust hold high regard in his life. He may be a leader, and he may have all of the more important planning to do, but he is known to participate in the field too. He’s strong, courtesy of his constant working out, and has a good mind - he can take a little blood on his hands, especially when it’s for the greater good. He is highly wanted within the industry, a lot of people want his head on a stick. After all, he is known as one of the most successful leaders in South Korean history. But he never falls into the cracks, and his members are more than ready to help him and watch his back. Even though he’s tough, he gives credit where it’s due and can be the most caring person despite his occupation.

One of the members he treasures most is you, and you feel the same way about him. The two of you are together, even against all odds. You know the risk of it, but it seems as though it would be wasteful to live in fear. The X Clan are well aware of your relationship, meaning that they are all completely hands-off you, (who would want to cross Shownu, really?). You and him compliment each other, and the life isn’t ideal, but you have each other to work it out.

Shownu: “Did I ever tell you how gorgeous you are?”

{y/n}: “Plenty, but I never tire of hearing it.”

This man is not to be underestimated, and he is not to be crossed. He is an assassin, but never really works with Kihyun. Kihyun likes to work alone, and Changkyun can deal with either. He is perfect with his long range shots, but he’s even more lethal with a knife. If he intends to kill you, you’re as good as a dead man walking. He’s dangerous, and terrifying, and it isn’t often that his victim will escape his grasp, because he will get them one way or another. Changkyun has seen a lot of horrific things in this world, and has killed mercilessly, but that doesn’t stop him from what he thinks are flaws, his own emotions.

When he came across you, it was like an ice bucket had been dropped over his head. Changkyun didn’t believe in love at first sight, but seeing you changed that perspective entirely. He found himself falling for you, even though he tried his best not to. The two of you became closer when Shownu asked the two of uo to work together. The two of you were in training a lot, using each other to practice and gain strength. The two of you were like the dream team, god help anyone that tries to cross you.

Changkyun: *Pins you down against the floor.* “You’re getting weaker, {y/n}.” *smirking*

{y/n}: “And your ego is getting bigger” *scoffs*

Changkyun: *starts tickling you.* “What was that? What did you say, huh? How would you like being tickled - you should take it back!” *grinning*

Hyungwon is somehow one of the most frightening in the group. Nobody dares to cross him. Hyungwon is a man of many talents, he isn’t just good in the field of assassination, he is also good at drug deals and the sweetheart scam, he’s an all rounder, and somehow he’s gained a lot of respect from a lot of gangs, there are many that refuse to cross him. He may appear to be very cute though, his sleeping habits give him an innocent look, like he is childlike, but far from it, sleeping isn’t the only activity that goes on in his bed.

Hyungwon and you had been dating for a long time, and honestly, even though there are risks, he still dates you because he figures that anyone that tries to even lay a finger on you has a death wish. He is very sweet with you, most unlike his attitude towards his job and The X Clan. some nights he will help you with training, others he will cuddle with you until it’s 3am and you start talking about the most random shit.

Hyungwon: “I love you Jagiya.”

{y/n}: “I love you too.”

Jooheon is the more emotional of all of the men in the mafia, but he still takes his job very seriously. Jooheon is in charge of all of the technological side and tracking, he is the one on the other side of the ear piece when other members go on dangerous missions. He can hack any system and extract any information that he wants, he is very much wanted by the government for leaking vital information. He can do whatever he wants, hack CCTV footage, top-security information and leave no trace. He is very dangerous, you’d be very stupid to piss him off. As well as this, Jooheon is handy in the field, and there’s no denying that he can be popular with the ladies in his life.

When he met you, he started to like you almost immediately, and even under the dim lights of the casino, he still admired your face as though it was in the light of the day. Even since that moment, he has been a smooth talker, perhaps that’s what made you fall for him in the first place. His aegyo is killer, but that is only shown to you, it has never been portrayed before the other members. And unlike his job, he is very forgiving and kind. He’s very protective of you, and is very careful when letting you go on missions because he loves you and that will never change.

Jooheon: “Be careful Jagi. I’m only on the other side of the earpiece if you need me.”

{y/n}: “Thank you, Jagi.”

Let us, once more, simply appreciate and admire the gift that is Colin O’Donoghue on Once Upon a Time. He brings so much to this character - his portrayal of Killian Jones so perfect and beautifully nuanced. The way you can feel how Killian feels simply by the look in his eyes. From exasperated acceptance, to determination, to shock and amazement. And don’t even get me started on the reunion/second proposal scene that could’ve had a gifset all to itself showcasing Colin’s ability to make you feel effortlessly (that smile/giggle moment tho!!). Like we are truly blessed to have this talented guy playing such an important character on this show. So truly blessed.

i genuinely have a lot of thoughts on the hunger as a final boss, and how the final form it takes will reflect on the general philosophy of the podcast as a whole piece of art. i really like the way jon/the hunger has been written so far, because I think the only way to make a villain this abstract interesting is to make  their motivations equally abstract. philosophically it’s kind of true that if you reach a certain point from a certain perspective, destruction and ascendence can often seem like the same thing, and I think griffin is going down a very smart path by keeping his heroes normal, grounded people–the suffering game arc and this arc are doing that very effectively. it’s worth noting that so far the 7 crewmembers (and especially THB) are holding up the tolkein-esque ideal of the average, small person who can stand outside a seemingly abstract conflict where temptations and power seem insurmountable and still make rational moral decisions—not inhumanly perfect decisions, but extremely human decisions (or elvish or …dwarvish decisions. you get me.). and maintaining this balance is even more of a conscious decision when you consider that the game mechanics of d&d would 100% result in the characters going “god mode” if that was the choice griffin and wanted to make. i also am really, really feeling how much this show cares about art, as dumb as that sounds–i actually can’t think of a single piece of media that treats creativity as a palpable, powerful essential force in the universe, and that’s really fuckin cool. and while I wasn’t sold on the whole ‘bonds make up the universal power’, i think it’s becoming clear that what that actually means is that living, and more over living your life as a differentiated individual who relates to other differentiated individuals, is what runs the universe. that’s different than “the power of love”–it’s actually a middle finger in the face of a moral relativist “we are all the same and therefore no one is anything” philosophy. i can’t wait for the finale.

Bestfriend Trouble (1/2) | Zach Dempsey x Reader

Genre: Romance, Fluff
POV: Reader’s and Zach’s (POVs are stated before a section.)

A/N: Hello guys! This is a 2-Part story and both parts are from different requests. This is actually a bit different from the request below but I just really wanted to connect both requests so yup haha. I hope you guys enjoy!

Request: I was wondering if you could pretty please do an imagine where Zach is just hopelessly in love with the reader, he does dorky things to see her smile, his friends always tease him when she walks by, she always catches him staring at her during class or lunch, he gets really nervous when she talks to him and he tries to keep his cool when she’s near but he always fails and is just super cute, just super fluffy.

READER’S POV

“Y/N! Y/N LOOK! LOOK!” Zach says through his mouth full of chicken tenders while he sat in front of me.

“Look how many chicken tenders I can fit in my mouth!” he continues as he tries to get my attention and I look at him in disgust, but it was pretty impressive too if I’m being completely honest.

“Zachary stop it, you look like an idiot.” I reply as I go back to reading my History notes. I promised myself that I’ll do better after failing our most recent quiz.

“I’m not going to stop until I see a smile on your face. Stop getting so bothered by that stupid quiz! There’s always 10 more after that anyway.” he says as he removes the chicken from his mouth one by one, chewing the others in the process.

“I need to keep my grades high, you know this, or else my parents will be so disappointed in me.” I reply as I become even more upset, I lean my head down on my notes.

“You’re already the perfect daughter, the perfect student and the perfect girl. No one can ever be disappointed in someone like you. You’re too hard on yourself sometimes, you don’t even see how amazing you are.” he says and I lift my head up to face him.

“You’re just saying that to make me feel better.” I say as lean my chin on my right hand while pouting and Zach gets a sip of my milkshake. When he parted the glass from his mouth, a white vanilla foam moustache was left on his upper lip. He looked like one of those History people we learn about. I purse my lips while trying to hide the obvious smile on my face.

“A-HA! Is that a smile?! I see a smile! Yes! I made you smile!” he beams, fists pumping up in the air.

“You really are an idiot.” I reply as I shake my head at him and hand him a tissue.

“It’s fine. I don’t mind acting like an idiot as long as I can make you happy.” he says while munching on a french fry and I scoff at him.

Zach Dempsey has been my bestfriend ever since we were in 3rd grade when I gave him a sip of my strawberry milk and he threw up all over me shortly after. That was the first time I found out about his very sad allergy. It’s a classic story between him and I. Since then, we’ve been inseparable.

Being bestfriends with one of the most popular guys in school means you’re also friends with the people around him. You get invited to all the cool parties, you get VIP passes at every school event and people automatically think you’re more important than you actually are. It was great, but not always. I missed being with Zach, just him, just the two of us and it was moments like right now that I treasure most.

“Oh by the way, we’re all going to see the new Fast and Furious movie tomorrow night. I’ll pick you up at 7 okay?” Zach suddenly asks.

“Please don’t tell me that obnoxious friend of yours will be coming too.” I say as I roll my eyes.

“Bryce? No no, Justin didn’t invite him.” he replies with a laugh.

“Alright then I’m in!” I answer and get back to reading my History notes.

The next day

I stood by my locker as I get the books I need for next period. Great, I thought to myself, Physics next, my least favorite subject. I sigh in disappointment as I shut my locker door. I turn to my right and a smiling Zach Dempsey was leaning on the locker next to mine.

Word Count: 1.4k

Warnings: long steamy make out session and it also involves some slight dry humping.

Stepping inside the shared living room of the building, determined to cure your boredom, you spotted your boyfriend sitting on a couch and reading some reports of the last assignment.

Glenn Miller’s soft music - Steve’s favorite - filled the room and relaxed the ambient air while the rest of the Avengers was minding their own business outside the facility and- therefore had left you both. All alone with Steve Rogers.

Walking over the super soldier, you sneaked behind the couch, landing your hands on his shoulders and you massaged the tightness of his muscles, earning some satisfying groans.

When you meet your fave and he is every bit as nice and adorable as you thought he would be and you’re both really un-photogenic (and sleepy)  at midnight but it’s okay because you had a nice talk and good things happened for you and everything is great and nothing else matters.

The turning point

I’ve talked before about how Diana changed her opinion about Akko in episode 13, during the Samhain Festival. Before that moment both Akko & Diana more or less just begrudgingly admired eachother.

However, while Diana changed her view of Akko that evening, Akko hadn’t had the chance to change her opinion of Diana yet. Until the episodes 19/20.

Even in episode 19, Akko still believes that Diana is the condescending ‘Miss Perfect, No Problems Witch’.  For Akko, any kindness from Diana is met with a suspicion of condescension. ‘How can this perfect, aristocratic witch possibly understand or genuinely care about me, a failing no-name witch?’ Akko cares a lot about Diana (even though she wouldn’t have admitted it to Diana or herself) but doesn’t expect that Diana cares about her.

However, we know they truly care a lot about eachother.

In this episode, they take turns saving eachother, caring more about the other than the consequences of their actions. Akko disregards the risk of the calamity for disturbing the ritual, while Diana abandons the ritual to nurse Akko.

Throughout both episode 19 and 20, Akko learns more about Diana. The more she learns, the more her prior view of Diana crumbles.

Diana’s childhood was far from perfect. Both her parents died while she still was just a young kid. She was sickly, and was at a point where she could have lost the ability to use magic at all. Her current profiency of magic all came from hard work and arduous practice.

Even Diana’s pride of her heritage is far less snobby than Akko probably assumed. Diana didn’t want to become the head of house Cavendish for the title itself, she wanted to preserve the legacy of her ancestors while continuing in their footsteps. And yet, Diana abondoned the possibility to earn the title only to save Akko.

Basically all assumptions Akko had about Diana turned out to not be true.

After learning about Diana’s hardships and the legacy of House Cavendish, Akko finally reaches her turning point. Just as Diana had changed her opinion about Akko, Akko now realizes that her inner view of Diana was wrong.

Akko is moved to tears when she hears Diana’s dream of carrying her House’s legacy. Akko does a complete U-turn of trying to stop Diana completing the ritual. She now instead fully supports Diana’s heartfelt dream. Akko can finally see what qualities they share: both of them are hard-working dreamers that strive to make the world a better place. This is more important than their differences, more than heritage, magical skill and personalities.

Due to Akko & Diana finally mutually bonding with eachother, the fifth word gets unlocked. I don’t know if they realized that it was necessary for them to grow closer to unlock the word, and that Akko couldn’t have done it herself. But with them finally understanding eachother, they now have a solid ground for them to work on their shared dream.

And I know one thing for certain, I truly want to see more of the unseen world they now have opened. Because from what we can see from Akko and Diana coming closer, it feels truly magical!

Tom gushing about you in an interview

“I don’t know what the future holds for [Y/N] and I but there’s no doubt in my mind, right now, that I’ll end up marrying her. I can feel it just about every time I look at her. It’s an incredible feeling to look at someone and feel the things I feel. And I know we’re still young and that a lot of things can happen from now and till then but these feelings are strong. I honestly can’t believe it some days. I’ll just look at [Y/N] and think to myself, ‘yeah, this is the life I want to live, with [Y/N] by my side every step of the way’. I want to believe that, this is not something a twenty year old thinks about but I really, truly do. I can’t really imagine her not being in my life, you know? It’s just not a possibility. I won’t stand for it. There’s no one in this world that will ever compare to her nor do I want to find out. I’m so fortunate to call her my girlfriend because I watched her for years be with someone who didn’t deserve her and now I can make up for the time she didn’t realize how incredibly special she is. [Y/N] also gets along with absolutely everyone in my life which is extremely important to me. I swear they even like her more than me some days. But, yeah, I can definitely see myself with her for the rest of my life. Ten or so years from now, living the married life with baby Tom’s running around. It’s the perfect end goal.”

My Fake Boyfriend Part 10

Summary: After receiving a very rude letter of your ex on the mail saying that he is going to get married. You see yourself not knowing what to do, you can just let it go or accept the help of your hot neighbor and pretend he is your boyfriend.

Paring: Bucky x Reader

Words: 2960

Warnings: A lot of emotions, a lot of fluffy and a lot of against

@drinkfantasy thank you so much for being my beta.

You and Bucky enter the church hand to hand. As soon as you step in you have a bad feeling. “Doll, relax, I am here for you and it’s only a wedding, it’s not like you are going to war, trust me this is easier.” Bucky says kissing your forehead, he is trying to be funny but his tone is serious.

“How do you always know what I am feeling?” You ask sitting on a bench close to where your family is. “I pay attention to you, doll. You always bit your lip and you run your fingers through your hair when you’re nervous.” He says putting a string of your hair behind your ear.
