Trying to record as much from Seacon as I can remember for you guys, since you keep sending me asks about con moments. Here’s a heart-melting Jensen story:
The girl immediately in front of me in the op line for Jensen on Sunday had a little girl about JJ’s age. I was watching his face while I was in line the whole time, and he looked kind of tired and the ops were moving quickly so I sort got the impression that he was just going through the motions that morning. But when he saw this little girl, he just lit up. Eye crinkles and all. He kind of bent down with his hands on his knees and grinned at her and asked, “Hey! Can I pick you up? Do you want to be picked up?” in this higher pitched voice and she was like, “Ok” really quietly. So he scooped her up onto his hip and grinned real big for the picture.
When he put her down, she tried to walk away but he kept talking to her. The ops literally stopped for a long moment so he could have some more time chatting to this little girl. It was sO CUTE AND I WAS SMILING SO BIG by the time I stepped up for my op.
(He really wanted to hold this kid, ok. He saw a baby and he was like GIMME.)
