Then the old guy tells him he’s not kidnapping him for money and Jian yi’s inner thoughts are: “Fuck! That’s even worse! What if he’s a real pervert who is captivated by my beauty!? Or is there an even more sinister plot!?”
He made me feel every bit of desperation he was feeling. How you can’t remember something so simple, so yours, something that in any normal situation you could say it like you can sing your favorite song. But there’s any of that and he just makes you feel it, he doesn’t even has to say it, it’s there in his eyes; how lost he feels.
And all I have to say is: Jensen, you’re definitely one of the best actors I’ve seen and it’s amazingly beautiful the way in which you can get to people’s feelings with your expressions.
That said, now Jared. (I cry a lot with SPN because of this bitch, too)
I’ve been all emotional because of Sam in countless times, Jared gives such expression to Sam that you can’t help yourself.
I was as worried as Sam at this moment and even though I saw Dean’s words as a joke I was totally lost and trying to keep calm but no can do, this is Supernatural we’re talking about. Sam’s expressions here say so much, him shaking his head, him looking away, the little smile he makes, the sigh of relief, the way his eyes look watery. He was going to loose it if the counterspell didn’t work. It’s seen that he can’t lose Dean, not like that, not again. He goes with “not funny” but you gotta see it in his face, you gotta hear it in his voice. Is such a strong feeling kinda like he was making me feel it.
Jared, you’re freaking gold and you never fail to amaze me, you never fail to make me feel every single thing Sam feels.
Honestly, I’ve gotta thank the world for having such great actors as Jared and Jensen to play the characters I love the most because clearly without them I wouldn’t have fallen in love with the Winchesters. Thanks for, and to, Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles.
Episode 9 is here! This episode got a huge number of updated shots, especially for expressions (yes, all these gifsets are from the BD/DVD edition). Yuuri does get a wide range of expressions here but most of them center around his anxiousness and worry. Interestingly, most of his other expressions are found either at the very start or the very end of the episode. And of course, you can’t leave out the soul crushing expression from the very end of the episode either. Enjoy!
Can we just take a second to give Harry a huge round of applause for his incredible acting here? I mean, just by looking at his facial expressions in this scene you can tell it’s not really Magnus. The fake smile. The evil look in his eyes. Even the way he talked. I seriously can’t wait to see what Harry will do in 2x12.
Fixing things around the Haus was never reallyabout the dibs for Dex. But, all the same, in the back of his mind he was still relying on his efforts in that department to secure him housing for his junior year at Samwell.
Which is why he’s a little surprised at himself for the sinking feeling in his gut when he’s officially offered a spot.
“Oh,” he replies dumbly.
Lardo blinks at him, clearly startled by his lack of enthusiasm, her hand still held out between them waiting for him to reach out and seal the deal.
Dex shakes his head and reaches his own hand out belatedly. Only to have Lardo pull back. “Bro. I’m not gonna give it to you if you don’t really want it.”
“No, no, I do! I promise I do. I’m sorry, I just thought…”
He thought that he’d be getting either Ransom or Holster’s dibs. And that Nursey would be getting the other’s. And, despite the fact that Dex has been dreading the very idea of that for the entire school year, he feels off kilter and lost now trying to imagine a scenario in which he lives at the Haus without Nursey constantly underfoot.
Even these past two years of living in the dorms, Nursey still always somehow manages to end up at the Haus whenever Dex does, stealing the last slice of pie while verbally needling at sore spots he knows well enough will get a rise out of his fellow D-man.
It seemed pointless to even hope that getting dibs wouldn’t somehow include Nursey at his side, and so Dex never bothered to factor in the possibility. He resigned himself to his fate. And now, presented with an alternative, he has no idea what to think.
“Do you, uh,” he clears his throat, watching Lardo’s eyes narrow at him, assessing. “Do you know who Rans and Holster are giving theirs to?”
“They’re giving them to Nursey, bro.”
“Right. But to Nursey and…?”
“Just Nursey.” She shrugs. “Those bunkbeds don’t even have a ladder anymore, so we figured we’d turn the attic back into a single for now. And we thought we’d do you all a solid by making sure the SMH didn’t lose it’s next best D-man pair due to mutual homicide within the first week of preseason by making you shack up together. We’ve all seen how you two handle sharing a hotel room on roadies.”
To be fair, how they handle it nowadays is wildly different from the roughhousing mess of their first semester at Samwell. But apparently no one’s noticed that.
Dex goes abruptly still as a thought occurs to him that feels like a bucket of ice water over his head. “Wait. Was this Nurse’s idea?”
literally nobody asked but i just want to let everyone know that i love kim taehyung. however right now i’d like to talk about the way he stays true to himself no matter what names he’s been called. his core self has never wavered despite being a public figure subjected to hate and unnecessary opinions. it’s such a brave thing to just… be. i admire his ability to be unapologetically himself. taehyung is self aware, knows what he likes, what he doesn’t like, how to handle himself in situations. despite all the sources of stress there are in the world, he always astounds me when i see him just.. living. living in every moment, making the most of it. in bon voyage season 1 he got lost but he didnt panic, he took it in stride and instead of focusing on the terrifying fact that he just got lost in a foreign country, he stopped and admired the beauty that surrounded him. that is kim taehyung. (and for the record, i know he could have made it to his destination by himself because he is smarter than people give him credit for.) he has taught me to not stress over every little thing. there is something beautiful everywhere you go. he has taught me to not be afraid of being who i really am, to not be afraid to express myself and to be okay with being different from the rest. unique is beautiful. we are all beautiful.
Salomé, 1909, by Paul Antoine de la Boulaye (1849-1926)
Many may not be familiar with the story of Salomé, and those that do not are probably quite unaware with exactly what they are looking at when staring right at this painting. First of all, artist Paul Antoine de la Boulaye truly had exquisite talent at giving his female subjects a subtle yet readable expression. Here we see, what you’d assume - and partly correct - a young, light-hearted dancing girl. A girl seemingly more childish than sultry. This, however, strongly contrasts with the story of the infamous Salomé. A young girl whose beautiful erotic dancing pleased her king so greatly, he granted her wish to have John the Baptist’s head on a platter. When paired with the description “an icon of dangerous female seductiveness,” this painting does not exactly hold it up. This painting is a perfect example of how knowing the story behind a work of art can be the key to “reading between the lines” of paintings.
