and her jaw

The Alex Comforting Maggie Scene We All Deserved (aka Alex doesn’t get called away, and “I love you” happens)

She is so fucking proud of her.

She walks away.

She snaps and she freaks out and she walks away, but she doesn’t try to head out the door.

Instead, she heads straight to the couch and sits down.

And Alex is so fucking proud of her.

And that?

That’s the final proof Alex needs that Maggie is perfect.

Not perfect.

But perfect for her.

Because Alex had told her that it was a relationship and she didn’t get to just walk out.

And Maggie?

Maggie had listened.

So Maggie’s on the couch and she’s in agony and Alex hates it, hates the catches in her voice and the not-quite biting she does to her lips to keep them from trembling when Alex brings up her parents, hates the nod and the anguished “I know” and the terrified drop and tremble of her jaw.

She hates it, because she’s defeated and she’s helpless and she’s destroyed.

But she loves it, too, because she… because… because she’s Maggie.

She hears her own voice tremble on the word heal and the only thing that keeps her from breaking herself is how warm Maggie’s face is, how soft her hair is, the way that Maggie finally looked at her when she said her name, the way she’s leaning into her hand, probably without even realizing it.

“You don’t think I’m a bad person?” she asks, and Alex knows how many years Maggie’s spent feeling like she is, and Alex knows exactly, exactly, exactly what that kind of self-hatred feels like.

She looks off to the side because she knows Maggie, she knows that there’s only a certain amount of intensity, of vulnerability, that she can handle at once. So she looks off to the side and she quirks her lips and she says, “Actually, I always thought that you were perfect. But it’s really nice to see that you have problems, too.”

Maggie’s voice shakes when she says thank you, and Alex smiles because god, she’s never been so… she’s never felt this…

She pulls back because she needs to see her face again.

Pulls back – but not before pressing the side of her face to Maggie’s hair, because god she loves how close it feels, how perfect – because she needs to tell her something.

Because if she’s going to call Maggie out for keeping things to herself, she can’t do the same.

“Yeah,” she whispers as she strokes her hair, as she looks into wet brown eyes and steels herself for the scariest thing she’s ever done.

And she’s a DEO agent with a superhero little sister.

Scary is her job.

“Listen, I know we haven’t been together for five years, I know… I know it’s not… I know we’re still learning each other, and ourselves, but I… I never want to stop learning each other together, and I… No, Maggie, I don’t think you’re a bad person. I think you’re the most… Maggie, I’m not going to run. I’m not going to run just because you have a history – hell, I have a history, too, we all have histories – and I’m not going to let you run just because you’re scared. I’m going to prove you can trust me, I’m going to prove I’m going to be here for you, unconditionally, always, no matter what ghosts you have or what scar tissue you’ve got, because I…”

Maggie’s eyes are wide and her lips are trembling and her heart is bleeding and Alex needs her to know, needs her to understand, needs her to feel it.

“I love you, Maggie. I love you, I love you, god, Maggie, I love you, and I’m not going anywhere, and you’re not a bad person, and you – “

But her next words are lost in Maggie’s lips, in her tongue, in her arms and in her sob, in the way she pushes Alex back onto the couch, in the way her body wracks with sobs even as her lips cover Alex’s.

“Whoa, whoa, whoa,” Alex pulls back, and Maggie stills immediately, sits up immediately. “No, no, you don’t have to get off, come back, come here, please, I want to be near you, I want to kiss you, I just… you’re crying, Maggie, I don’t – “

“You shouldn’t.”

One of Maggie’s tears drips onto Alex’s cheek, and Alex reaches up to wipe her eyes, to stroke her hair, as she shakes her head, as she furrows her brow and confusion defines her every feature.

“I shouldn’t what, Maggie?”

She reads the answer in Maggie’s eyes before Maggie can force the words out of her lips, and it shatters her heart.

“Love me. You… you shouldn’t love me.”

Maggie sits up and crawls off of Alex, crawls to the opposite end of the couch, and Alex stays laying down, leaning up on her elbows, watching her. Watching her, scared to move, because if she moves, Maggie might run.

And she would understand why.

Because if Maggie loved her, and said so, god, she would say she didn’t deserve it, too.

Because she didn’t, she didn’t, she didn’t.

“I’m sorry, Maggie, I shouldn’t have said anything, I should have just kept my mouth shut – “

“No, Alex, it’s not you.” Her voice is distant and her voice is firm because she cheated, she lied, she destroys everything, not Alex, and she won’t have Alex blaming herself for this, too.

Alex stiffens and Maggie notices out of the corner of her eye, so she forces herself to relax her shoulders somewhat and she sighs and wipes her eyes roughly. Alex stays leaning back on her elbows, stays watching her carefully, stay wishing she would be gentler with herself when she wipes her own tears away. Wishes she were as gentle with herself as she is with Alex.

“I’m sorry. It’s…” She chances a glance at Alex, and the confusion, the adoration, the pure concern, the pure… love… in her face makes her want to scream, and makes her want to weep, and makes her want to cling to Alex and never, ever, ever let her go.

“You are the most amazing woman I’ve ever met, Alex. You… I loved Emily, yeah. I did, a lot. She was… we met in college, and she… and we were together a long time, my longest, like I said, but it… I wasn’t… I loved her, but not… not like this. Not like I love you.”

Alex’s heart stops beating and she sits up slowly, slowly, slowly. Maggie’s crying again, soft tears, silent tears, and Alex is pretty sure she’s crying now, too.

“But I shouldn’t, Alex, and you shouldn’t, because I don’t… you see what I did to her, what I… what I do. To the people closest to me. Because it’s not only about not trusting them, or you, it… it’s about trusting myself. I tore my family apart, Alex. I did that. Me.”

“Maggie, no, it wasn’t – “

“I know. I know. But that’s never… that’s never how it felt. It felt like it was me. Everyone told me it was me. And I believed it, Alex, because hell, you know, you believe what your mother says about you, too.”

Alex looks down and Alex takes a deep breath and Alex is in shock because she loves me, she loves me, she loves me.

“It’s why I tried not to date you, Alex, because… yes, because you were just coming out, but also because I… I ruin things, Alex. It’s what I do, and I never… I never want to ruin you. You’re… you’re a masterpiece, Alex. You’re the greatest thing this damn planet’s ever come up with, and I just… I destroy things. And I shouldn’t have gotten with you, because I don’t know what I’d do if I ever destroyed you, but I couldn’t help it, because Alex, I… I’m so sorry. You deserve to be loved by someone… whole, someone… Someone who doesn’t ruin everything she touches.”

Alex is sitting up fully, now, is kneeling back on the couch in front of Maggie, now, her hands in her own lap, now.

“Are you done?” she asks softly, gently.

Maggie nods and looks away, and Alex raises her index finger to her chin and helps Maggie meet her eyes.

“You do not ruin things. You do not destroy things. You aren’t broken, Maggie, and you aren’t a… a curse. You’re the masterpiece, Maggie, because you… you have survived hell – hell that your own family put you through, hell when you were a child and needed all the love and protection that I wish I could have been there to give you then – and after all that, the worst thing you do, what, you cheated on someone? Okay, that’s bad. That’s really, really bad. But Maggie, doing a bad thing doesn’t make you a bad person. It makes you a person. I’ve tortured people, Maggie, I’ve… I’ve killed people. People with families, people… people. And you still say I’m… those things you said I am.”

“A masterpiece, the most incredible woman in all of creation, the – “

Maggie’s smiling now, and it makes Alex smile, too, but she shushes her softly, because she’s not done.

“Maggie, I don’t love you because you’re perfect, or because I thought you actually were perfect. I love you because you like gross food like double toasted bagels and vegan ice cream, and I love you because you take care of the queer kids of color your precinct would rather lock up, and I love you because you have terrible morning breath and I love you because you make me laugh and I love you because you stand up for yourself and I love you because you’re stubborn and because you’re loyal and because you’re passionate and because you’re neurotic about parking regulations and because you’re into weird things like bonsai trees.”

“Hey, don’t hate on my trees.”

“And I love you because that’s the thing you decide to pipe up about. I love you, Maggie, and god, I’m sorry, am I saying it too much, I just… it’s like a floodgate, now that I told you I have to keep saying it, because Maggie, you deserve it. You deserve to be loved, and you deserve to be loved for exactly who you are. For everything you’ve ever been and everything you’ve ever done and everything you are now and everything you will be in the future. I want to be in your future, Maggie, I… you’re amazing, Maggie. You’re amazing, and you just… I love you, Maggie. I love you. I love you, I – I’m going to stop talking now. Sorry.”

“I don’t deserve you, Alex.”

“But you said you love me?”

A silence. A long, long, long silence.

Alex’s eyes are wide and Maggie’s eyes are soaked and she reaches to cup Alex’s cheeks in her hands and she kisses every centimeter of her face because “Yes, Alex. Yes, yes, yes. I love you more than I’ve ever loved anyone.”

“Well then. I don’t feel like I deserve you, and you don’t feel like you deserve me. But I love you. And you… you love me? You love me.” She can’t help but straighten and smile and Maggie chuckles wetly.

“Nerd.”

“You love that I’m your nerd.”

“My nerd. I like the sound of that.”

“Maggie. I want to be with you. Let me be with you. But like… really with you. So you have to try to trust me, to let me love you properly. Okay?”

“Do I have to?”

“Maggie.”

“I don’t like talking about myself, Alex.”

“I know.”

“But I… I trust you.”

“Well that’s a start.”

“Yeah.”

“You know what else would be a start?

“Mmm?”

“Heading over to the Baldwin and talking to Emily. You deserve closure, Maggie. You both do.”

“Alex, I – “

“I’ll drive you. I’ll be right outside the whole time.”

“You won’t leave?”

“Never.”

“Because you love me.”

“Who’s the nerd now?”

“For you? Every time, Alex. Every single time.”

Ok I’m still processing the revelations from this episode, but the confrontation scene between Alex and Maggie on the couch has some epic acting man. Like, kudos to how Maggie’s lip wobbles like she’s trying really hard not to cry bc she thinks Alex is gonna break up with her. They could’ve had her tear up or look away, but it’s much more in character to have her jaw wobble like that, it’s not Hollywood-pretty but it looks real. And it fits her character, because we’ve already seen how reserved and composed Maggie tends to be with emotions like this.

Just…phenomenal acting.

How would the campoins react to having a shape shifting ( like everything under the sun + hybrids and only colors (like skin, hair and eyes stay the same)and voice sligtly changes) s/o who told them bevore they began dating that their not normal but never specificly telling them what they are. So in an life to death battle suddenly changing to save the champions life.

Shape-shifting s/o (Champions)

Urbosa

  • Knew that something was up, but could never figure out what it was.
  • One day, the two are in the middle of a hunt, when a massive boulder falls on them.
    • Urbosa pushes (Name) out of the way but her leg is caught in the debris.
    • And some Yigah bandits are closing in.
  • Goes to order s/o to get help when she feels her jaw drop when she sees her s/o transforming into something big-
    • And the next thing she knows, her now-lynel s/o is lifting the boulder off of her, letting her get out from underneath it, before hurling it at some of the bandits.
  • They fight off the enemy together, and as soon as the last one is out of there, s/o transforms back, clearly nervous as they try to cover up (transforming into a Lynel is bound to get some clothing ripped off).
  • “….Not quite what I was expecting…”
  • Gives s/o chance to explain.
    • But once she knows why they hid it, she’s 100% supportive because??? Holy hell that’s really cool???

Mipha

  • They’re out by the river, collecting healing herbs and fishing.
  • Suddenly, those infernal boulder octopus start shooting at them, and while Mipha is a decent fighter, her defense is not great.
    • Doesn’t stop her from trying to get in front of her s/o to defend.
  • Only, now there’s two really big arms catching the boulders and hurling them back at the squids, causing them to flee from fear.
  • When she turns around, she’s shocked to find that her beloved s/o has become a giant Goron with ripped up clothing, but the same loving eyes that Mipha would know anywhere.
  • S/o quickly turns back to normal and is letting out a sheepish apology when Mipha immediately interrupts them, worried half to death!
  • Are you alright??? That looked so agonizing, would you like for me to heal you? Please, let me help!”
    • Very surprised to learn that it doesn’t hurt them at all, and that it only costs them whatever they’re wearing at the time.

Revali

  • Since whe- what- how????”
  • It had been a peaceful day up in the mountains - Revali had flown to the top, while his s/o had glided alongside him, to do a bit of patrolling near the outskirts of Rito Village.
  • It’s a gorgeous view; the snow, the sun, the charging lynel, the clear blue sky-….
    • Hold up, something doesn’t add up.
  • The Lynel hits the both of them head on, destroying s/o’s glider and breaking one of Revali’s wings.
  • Neither of them have the weapons to fight off such a creature, so s/o grabs Revali and jumps off the edge.
    • Next thing he knows, Revali is holding onto the waste of the biggest Rito he has ever seen.
  • They land back in the village, where he’s rushed to the healer and the s//o flies off before anyone else can ask questions.
  • When he gets back to his home, his s/o is there, nervously waiting for his response.
    • “That was… incredible! Why didn’t you tell me you could do that?”
  • New found respect for s/o, more than usual.

Daruk

  • This was a less than ideal situation.
  • Backed into the wall of the mountain, surrounded by creatures that only a Goron could really harm as weapons were useless against these monsters, exhausted from fighting.
    • Yea, not a great day.
  • Until a new Goron shows up, somehow comes out from behind him and starts beating the crap out of these monsters.
  • Daruk knows better to look a gift horse in the mouth, so he joins in the brawl, laughing with new-found strength to fight even harder.
  • When the fighting is done, Daruk goes up to them and says
    • Nicely done (Name)! next time give me a heads up though, I thought I lost ya in the fight back there for a sec!”
  • As if he wouldn’t recognize his s/o anywhere- they still had the same eyes and temper as before.
  • With their permission, boasts about it to all, and it’s not long before a lot of Goron children crowd them to see what they can do with big awe-filled eyes

witchking-jr  asked:

You have the darndest knack for coming up with character I want to draw. gawdammit. gotta draw ur weird wolf child now.

aaaaand you have the darndest knack for bringing my garbage creatures to life, I would be delighted if you did a Khazri! …I realise I’ve not really described my weird wolf child though, quick, have a description masterpost!

Khazri on Khazri:

It had always seemed unfair; whatever else they said about his father, everyone agreed he had been beautiful, but Khazri had inherited an unbecoming mix of both his parents. His mother’s lipless slash of a mouth, her angular jaw - austerely handsome on a woman, incongruous set beneath what must be his father’s wide spaced eyes and delicately snubbed nose. There was no one to blame for his overlarge ears and lustreless tangle of hair but himself.

Imrael on Khazri:

daaaaaaaaaaaaaamn

Well that wasn’t very helpful. Here’s something more objective:

Khazri is about 5′6″ and slim (though you wouldn’t know either by looking at him - he hunches to look smaller and wears layers of baggy clothes, mostly ‘procured’ from people larger and heavier than he is). He has a heart shaped face and features that are more or less per his own uncharitable description. As you would expect of a weird morlock elf thing, he’s pale with a greyish cast to his skin and eyes that are overlarge and just the slightest bit spooky. They can be mistaken for brown in poor light (…they’re not though). He cuts his own hair short, with a hunting knife, and it looks exactly as crappy as you’d expect.

Implausibly, given he’s an awful cryptid boy being followed around by timber wolves, there’s something about him that just…does not draw the eye? You won’t even notice him unless he speaks to you, and probably not even then.

The Yoga Class

She lies when Maggie asks if it was really that bad and she says yes.

She lies, but it’s okay, because Maggie knows she’s lying.

She knows because Alex knows that Maggie saw the way her jaw was on the floor the whole. Entire. Time.

The whole entire time, because the things Maggie can do with her body?

How she can hold herself up with only her hands, how she can go from stiff body slams on the job to graceful, steady, peaceful movements on that adorable pink mat of hers? (She’d laughed when Alex had insisted on getting a blue one for herself – to match – and she’d kissed her and she’d looked like she was in love.)

True, there were parts Alex hated.

Like the parts where she wasn’t the best one in the class.

Like the parts where the instructor had welcomed her as a newcomer, and the only okay part about that was the way Maggie had reached over and touched her arm and beamed because she was hers, hers, hers.

“Why do you do this stuff anyway, Mags? Isn’t it too… calm for you? Don’t you love your heavy bag?”

“I do, Danvers, but if I only got my release through my heavy bag, I’d just kind of stay angry all the time.”

“And this… breathy stuff… helps you not be angry all the time?”

“Some days,” Maggie had explained, and Alex could kind of see why.

Because, though she’ll never admit it, she found that it was kind of comforting – and kind of hot, okay, very hot – to watch Maggie move so peacefully, to watch the way her eyes fluttered closed.

Even if it earned her a gentle, smiling reprimand from the instructor, who softly reminded her to focus on her own practice for now.

Alex refrained from retorting that Maggie was her practice.

Because part of her? Part of her wanted that. Wanted to be like that. Like Maggie.

Because she admires the crap out of her, and damn, it would be kind of nice to be just as flexible as her girlfriend.

It would be… helpful.

In sting ops and such.

And in bed.

Her practice. Right. Focus on her practice.

And when she tried – when she took inspiration from Maggie’s soft breathing, from the way she wasn’t embarrassed to keep her eyes closed in this room, wasn’t scared, wasn’t guarded, like she was everywhere else in public spaces, and even alone together sometimes – Alex could see where this stuff was… relaxing.

Not to mention a little physically challenging.

Okay, a lot physically challenging.

Alex was used to motion. She wasn’t used to stillness.

And stillness? Stillness can be so much harder.

Stillness can require so much more strength.

The kind of strength she sees in Maggie. The kind of strength that makes her love her even more.

The kind of strength she wasn’t to develop in herself.

So she lies when Maggie asks if it was really that bad, because it’s funny and because they love teasing each other and because she’s still Alex Danvers, and she has a reputation to uphold, after all.

But really? She can’t find the words to tell her. Not yet.

How much she’s inspired by her.

How in awe of her she is.

She’ll find the words, one day.

But today? Laughing and nudging each other and flirting and teasing in the rain, neither of them caring enough to take their umbrellas out of Maggie’s gym bag, because god does everything, including the mist on their skin, feel perfect right now?

Today, this minute?

She’s got Maggie’s smile, and Maggie’s got hers, and that’s enough for now.

a non-exhaustive list of photos that go up on the wall in the foxhole court lounge before neil josten graduates:

  • nicky and aaron and kevin jammed into one side of a fast food restaurant booth at 3am on new years day, eating burgers while looking varying stages of wasted (taken by an amused dan from the next booth over, from between neil and andrew’s heads)
  • renee alone, an artistic shot that captures the light in her hair, turning it into a proper rainbow, and the gilded line of her jaw and cheek (everyone thinks it was taken by dan. it was allison)
  • aaron and katelyn together, aaron’s expression so quiet and so, so light as he looks up at her where she’s perched on a table looking back (taken by allison, who knows what it means to be a pretty girl who loves someone all broken inside. she’s not jealous that katelyn has better luck than her - she’s, in a strange way, proud)
  • kevin and wymack talking on the sidelines, serious as always, taken to catch wymack’s attentively bowed head and the considering light in kevin’s eyes (you better believe dan took that one)
  • neil lying back against andrew’s side, andrew’s arm hooked over his shoulder and his hand splayed loose and easy over neil’s chest while he stares out the window, neil’s chin on his chest as he sleeps, taken on a long bus ride home (taken by renee. andrew knows it was her - she took him turning his face away as the tacit permission it was)
  • dan and matt kissing and grinning and kissing, helmets under arms, at the end of dan’s last practice before the penultimate game of her final season as fox captain (taken by renee from the bench, with a smile on her own face)
  • the entire team with the trophy, the one that proves them better than a one-shot wonder after all (taken by katelyn, heart so swollen with pride she can barely swallow)
  • the girls arm in arm, dressed in fox orange, all grinning after their graduation ceremony in abby’s backyard
  • the aftermath of that, where matt bounds in behind them and hugs the three of them at once so they’re all in various stages of open-mouthed yelling and laughing (both taken by a gruff but impossibly proud wymack)
  • matt bent over to talk to neil on the court, their height difference comical (a sports photographer took that one, but nicky’s the one to put it on the wall. neil is bemused)
  • nicky and erik, from his surprise visit during the last games of the fall season, where nicky has obviously been smiling (taken by neil, at nicky’s request but without complaint)
  • andrew’s profile and neil’s face in focus, capturing the intensity with which he looks at andrew - more open than he would have known how to be a few years back, and just a little soft (taken by nicky. fair’s fair)
  • neil alone by the whiteboard in the lounge, arms crossed and mouth open as he lectures the freshman (read; tears them to pieces) as their captain (taken by matt, who admires neil’s ability to verbally destroy people)
  • kevin and neil talking to the press, in gear but with their helmets off. kevin smiling (they won), neil’s eyes cool and serious (a press shot that nicky cut out and put up. kevin likes that they look like professionals in it, and likes having neil josten beside him)
  • kevin and wymack at his graduation, heads together. kevin’s smiling (taken by neil because kevin as a human belongs to the foxes, and belongs on the wall)
  • matt in the jersey of his new pro team under his graduation gown, posing like a superhero with an arm thrown over his head (taken by neil, laughing)
  • matt and nicky grinning with the ocean in the background, arms over shoulders (taken by dan on their group trip to california - there’s blurs in the background that would, with a sharper focus, resolve into a sunburn-victim neil, a black-clad arm belonging to andrew, the back of kevin’s head, and the irrepressible and smiling jeremy knox, their guide for the day)
  • andrew leaning against the driver side door of the maserati in an undisclosed location, staring into the camera like he’s challenging the man behind it (neil. it’s neil)
“I’m just asking this one thing of you.” Her voice was calm, but it wasn’t enough to cover the storm that raged inside of her. He already knew what she was going to ask. To be frank, he’d been waiting for it, had thought it’d happen every time they locked eyes. But she’d given him the silent treatment, waiting for him to make the first move and explain. He hadn’t caved in, not to the coldness in her eyes or the stubborn tilt of her jaw. Yet. Apparently she’d run out of patience.
“Why do you keep pushing me away? Be honest with me.” Honest. That word alone drove a hundred needles into his skull. If there was one thing he sucked at, it was honesty, especially if it concerned people he loved. Especially if it led to him admitting to a weakness. Admitting to fear.
“Every time I think I managed to get through to you, it’s like you never heard me at all. It’s like you don’t even try to listen. You’re not making an effort.” How very wrong she was but that too was something she could not know. Something he could not say out loud because words had a funny way of backfiring and making things even worse.
“You’re right. I’m not making an effort. I don’t want to. I don’t care.” Her face fell and his heart sank. What kind of person was he to protect his own skin, to let her put her heart on the line and not give anything in return?
“I think you do,” she said quietly. “I think you see where this is going and you’re scared so you’re trying to make me leave on my own. But I won’t. I won’t leave you no matter how often you push me away.”
“You want me to be honest?” She nodded and straightened, throwing her shoulders back. Every inch of her was attentive.
“I fall in love hard and fast. It takes as much time for me to fall out of love. I open my heart, I get attached, everything is fine until it isn’t. Until someone ends up breaking my heart or I break theirs and it always ends in fights and screams and tears and I’m sick of it.” Without noticing his hands had balled into fists. Heat rose in his cheeks. Never had he meant to lose control like this. His tone softened. “If I don’t risk anything, I don’t lose. That’s it. It’s not your fault.”
She reached for his hand and squeezed, gentle but firm.
“But you don’t know how it ends before you start, do you? You cannot possibly know.” Every part of him wanted to pull away, had to pull away, but he couldn’t. He’d been running for so long, struggling so hard, twisting and winding and always escaping. But he was tired. His very soul was tired.
“Because if you don’t risk anything, you can’t win, either,” she whispered, pulling him closer and closer until the only thing he wanted to be was honest with her. Until he no longer wanted to escape.

autistic pidge headcanons because im procatinating on homework

  • she was one of those “gifted and talented” kids all throughout elementary school, but once she hit sixth grade her grades kinda plummeted for a while because she stopped finding all her classes interesting and her executive dysfunction kicked in because of that
  • she hated school projects, especially english ones. the instructions were too vague but she felt embarrassed to ask her teacher to go over literally everything on the rubric just for clarification.
  • the girl needs a chew toy. if she had one, she would probably gnaw on it until it was ripped and ragged. but since she doesn’t she ends up clenching her jaw unconsciously a lot, which has actually led to her having some dental problems
  • her favorite visual stim videos are those ones where people poke/crush floam or slime. the crunch sound some of them make is just A++++ to her and she gets disappointed when there is no crunch.
  • she has echolalia. she’ll repeat new words that she just learned, or will usually repeat back what someone just said to her. she mostly does this with hunk, who realizes that she likes repeating things so when he talks he’ll sometimes come up with something that’s fun to say just incase she wants to repeat it.
  • sometimes she’ll echolalize her own name with this rhyme she made up. it starts with her just saying “pidge” and then she’ll go “pidge podge” and then “pidge podge pudge” and she’ll just continue it with the rest of the vowels in the alphabet. she only does this when she’s sure she’s 1000000% alone though.
  • she can pass really well as a neurotypical due to how she’s watched them a lot and knows how to copy their responses and reactions to things. sometimes she’s too good at acting neurotypical and gets frustrated with NTs when they don’t respond in the usual neurotypical way, because it’s basically like they’re breaking script on her and she gets really confused.
  • she has terrible volume control at times. usually, she’s good. she can keep her voice down with no problem. but say she’s out at a restaurant with her friends or something, and is really excited? forget it, she’s practically yelling
  • she will info dump on you like there’s no tomorrow, if you hang out with her long enough. just wait like twenty minutes after some casual conversation and soon she’ll be talking your ear off about her latest invention or the most recent tech information she learned.
  • she will love you forever if you let her info dump on you
  • her stim kit consists of a piece of yarn, a beaded bracelet, and a clicking pen. still no chew toy. she hasn’t changed anything in it since she was nine and she really needs to.
  • she relates a lot to keith, who is also autistic, and lance, who has adhd, and they bond over #JustNeurodivergentThings together (just like i mentioned in my autistic keith headcanons post)

Feyre just returned to the Spring Court. She has her relieved victim mask on, Tamlin thinks everything is back to normal, Lucien is still suspicious af, everything is going smoothly—then Ianthe makes an appearance.

Ianthe goes into hysteria, making apologies and excuses, saying how she never meant to hurt anyone personally, that she didn’t know this would happen blah blah blah. And Feyre’s mask slips.

The memory of the roses, of what just transpired in Hybern, and what Ianthe had done to her mate and countless others had Feyre punching the priestess square in the jaw. Sending her reeling to the ground.

Tamlin looks at Feyre like ‘wtf just happened’ and even Lucien stops his 'I’m so on to you’ look in turn for a 'holy shit she really just did that’ look. Feyre just steps around Ianthe and carries on her way with an 'Oops.’

Highly unlikely? Most definitely. But was this fun to write? Of course. And would it be satisfying? Hell. Yes.

This is Jas and her tongue sticks out like this 98% of the time. We saved her from an abusive home (her jaw was broken and that’s why her tongue sticks out crooked) but she’s very happy and bossy now and loves to cuddle.

“He’s not moving.” Bucky mumbled and nudged Natasha’s arm, lips twisted into an amused smile.

“I know.” Natasha hisses back, hands on her waist while she watched her friend’s jaw dropped in shock.

Once they realized this will take lot longer than they expected, they started to look around the destroyed park and took a seat on the only standing bench near them, eyes still trained on Steve and the woman standing in front of him.

“She’s cute.” Bucky commented after a while.

“For a supervillain.” Natasha nodded, lightly chuckling at the slight twitch of Steve’s eyes when the woman’s face brightened.

“[Y/N].”

“HELLO, STEVIE!” She pranced towards him. Pranced. Steve could hear Bucky laughing behind him and it took every willpower in him not to throw his shield at his best friend.

Steve let out a long sigh and pinched the bridge of his nose with his thumb and index finger. She had her hair tied in a high ponytail today and she was wearing a different shade of dark blue denim jacket.  God. He hated this and he hated himself more for paying attention to these kind of details. She stopped short in front of him, eyes twinkling with glee, which was never a good thing. God knows what else she had done aside from almost leveling the park to the ground and he didn’t want to think about that at all.

“You know I have to arrest you, right?”

“But I got us a table at the new restaurant around the block!” She gawked at him as if he was the evil one. God help him. Steve’s eyes twitched a little at her shocked expression. He’d tell her she was an adorable if it weren’t for the fact that she is a supervillain.

“And who did you threaten to get that reservation?”

“I did not threaten anyone.” She gasped in mock hurt, clutching her hand to her chest and Steve let out another sigh.

“Look! Here’s the ticket.” She took it out of her jacket pocket and showed it to him, smiling sheepishly when he noticed the names and the tiny red stain on the corner. “They’re not going to miss it.”

“Please tell me you didn’t kill them.” Steve groaned.

“I didn’t! They’re already dead, okay! I found this in the morgue when I was snooping around. And it’s a nice restaurant!”

Steve squeezed his eyes shut for a few seconds and took a few deep breaths. He could still hear Natasha and Bucky laughing at him from across the park. Another sigh escaped his lips before he turned to face her again. She was still staring at him with her hopeful eyes and flushed cheeks and goddammit he wasn’t supposed to think she was cute. He wasn’t supposed to think about her at all. He snatched the ticket from her. Her face broke into a huge smile and he cursed himself when his heart did that stupid pit-a-pat thing. She destroyed a park. She just destroyed a park. Get a hold of yourself.

“So, are you going to pick me up at six? We could go to a little ice cream shop afterwards. The weather’s a bit chilly but we’re both kinda immune to that, right? We could bond and be friends. I even let you have a sleepover at my pl–HEY!”

“You’re coming with us, [Y/N].” Steve grumbled, sensing an oncoming headache while he cuffed her hands.

“I guess that’s a no on the dinner and ice cream?”

In retrospect, he probably should have seen it coming. Why else would they ask him to come to stop a robbery. Tony invented a fucking state-of-the-art stun gun that could help the bankers put down the robbers discreetly. The man even went down to the bank himself to teach them how to use it. Maria Hill only shook her head when he mentioned this and forced him to go and stop the robbery. She literally pushed him into the car, not giving him time to change, shove the shield inside, and slammed the car door shut before he could say anything. So much for a weekend, Steve thought,

“STEVIE!” Steve (along with Bucky and Sam who wanted to tag along) turned his head towards the building and gawked at her. She was standing by the window, flailing her arms around to get his attention. And she beamed. She fucking beamed when he finally caught her eyes.

“Your girlfriend’s real cute.” Sam snickered.

“She’s not my girlfriend.”

“Keep telling yourself that, pal.” Bucky smacked Steve’s shoulder before he and Sam jogged away from him. Steve flipped them off and muttered a string of curse words as he made his way inside the bank.

She had rounded all civilians in a corner and was busy emptying the vault when he walked inside. Blue swirls of her power floated past him as she put the money inside another duffel bag.

“What the fuck is this, [Y/N].” Steve said before he could even stop himself. She pushed the plate of cookies towards him with her power and moved away from the empty vault. Steve fleetingly wondered what these civilians were thinking as they watched the interaction between [Y/N] and him.

“Cookies! Chocolate chip cookies! Fresh from the oven!” She grinned, taking a piece of the cookie. “I even bought you coffee,” she added as she took out a cup of starbucks coffee from under the table and for a moment, he was touched. The warm feeling quickly replaced with mild indignation when he read the name on the cup.

“Mr. Stan.” He looked up from the cup and  narrowed his eyes at her. “You stole this.”

“He was nowhere to be seen.” She shrugged. She casually took a sip from the cup before munching on her cookie.

“Come sit here, Steve.” She pat the chair next to her and gestured her other hand towards the frightened group of people. “I promise I’ll let them go.”

“…..fine.” He begrudgingly sat next to her, eyes fixed on her as she opened the door with a flick of her hand.

Her lips curled into a smile and she motioned at the opened door, voice light and cheerful as she spoke, “You’re free to go.”

“So…. How are you, Steve? You look good in leather jacket. I like it.” She was so bubbly and cheerful it threw him off for a good minute. She was wearing a similar brown leather jacket paired with a turtleneck and black skinny jeans. She even braided her hair today, he noticed.

“Why are so quiet? Are you pissed that I didn’t go to your thanksgiving dinner?” She asked again. “You know i was in jail, right?”

“I know. I PUT YOU THERE.” Steve groaned, slamming his head against the cold table.

She laid her head on the table and gave him a little smile when he opened his eyes. “Look at us, being friends and shit. We’d make a lovely couple too.”

“We’re not friends. You’re a villain, [Y/N].”

“Labels are not my thing.” She shrugged and rested her hand on his shoulder. Steve’s heart definitely did not skip a beat when she didn’t break eye contact with him and gave him the most adorable smile he has ever seen.

She hummed a little christmas tune and started to tell him about her days, oblivious to Steve’s inner turmoil.

“I saw your fat dog the other day. Kept it in my place while you were gone.”

“WHAT?!”

“Such a nice dog. I love him. I named him Eggtart.”

Steve buried his face in his arms and groaned. “So that’s why he never responded when I call his name.”

“ANYWAY… I think I want to borrow Eggtart again next week. I found a nice dog beach not far from here and I want to take him there. You’re free to join us if you want.”

“Eggtart is a ridiculous name.” Steve finally said after a while.

“So… you’re coming with me and Eggtart next week?”

Steve wished he could go into cryostasis and sleep for another century.
