here’s a gif i made after talking to @rynnaminttea for a bit and seeing the gif that she was making of Killu, i don’t want to spoil since her’s is ssooooo cute but i got inspired! I feel like it’s moving a bit slow but idk (thank you Ryn for adding on my signature!)
Can we just talk about this moment? He has no idea that Belle said she loved him back. He died before hand.
•This expression on his face says everything. He turns around and looks at Belle as if he truly can’t believe the meaning behind it all.
• “I’m human? But that means….” he whips around and sees Belle standing there. He lets out a breath of relief. Everything he has ever hoped for since she got there has fallen into place. The spell is broken, she loves him, his castle has been saved.
• But just look at this precious cinnamon roll. Look at that FACE. That expression crushes me every time. He looks as though he’s about ready to cry. But following this part, he’s cautious. He lets Belle lead. He’s afraid he’ll scare her somehow. That perhaps his human form is more frightening than the Beast. He knows his character as a human to be despicable, arrogant, hateful, and conceited. That’s the last thing he wants Belle to see. But she sees into his heart. She knows. She knows how loving, caring, kind, and compassionate he’s become. And now so does he.
• That hair tho. It’s so soft JUST LET ME TOUCH IT.
Hold up! Just look at her face. Look at that subtle raise of her eyebrows, the tiny, almost imperceptible, quiver of her chin and the intake of breath. The way her lips part and her eyes just gaze longingly with that ‘please-love-me’ stare. It’s like she takes one look at Clarke and time stands still for a sec.
You can almost hear the internal conflict. -‘God your pretty. That face. Those eyes. Those lips. Can I kiss you? I swear you’re an angel. Jok! Pull yourself together Heda!
Love is weakness, except, maybe my love of candles. Wait, what was you saying? Your beauty stumped me-’.
Lexa is so thirsty that straight after this she has to pour herself a drink.
The subtlety and intricacies of ADC’s expressions and the mannerisms within her portrayal of Lexa still amaze me.
You see this face? This is the face of a boy in the most beautiful state of disbelief to ever exist. Stiles stilinski has loved Lydia Martin for years–since the third grade–and has always seen her for who she really is. He listened to her when no one else heard. He paid attention to her when no one else did. He remembered everything she ever tried to hide. He knew how smart she was despite how hard she tried to hide it, and he only loved her more because of it. He never underestimated her. He never sidelined her or blew her off or thought of her as anything less than important. He complimented her. He treated her as an equal. He did anything and everything for her. He risked his life to save hers. But, above all of this, more important than any of this, he LOVED her. He loved her before anything supernatural tested the limits of their emotions. He loved her before they had to fight for their lives and the lives of others. He loved her when he was just a boy and she was just a girl. He loved Lydia Martin like no one else has, and when he knew he was going to be completely erased from existence, he wanted to let her know that. After years of confiding only in his best friend about his feelings, after years of everyone but Lydia knowing about his feelings, after years of silence, Stiles tells Lydia to remember in any way that she can that he loves her. So, when his friends have saved him, when the love of his life made everyone they know remember who he is to bring him back, he finally gets to hear from Lydia. He never–not once–acted like he needed Lydia to admit anything to him. He never pushed her or pressured her or nagged her or coerced her to love him just because he loved her. He simply loved her, but he didn’t realize how, all this time, that was what was needed most. This is the face of a sarcastic and cocky boy with a heart so big that it stores not only unconditinal love but also immense darkness finally having all the love he gave given back. This is the face of a boy who can’t believe that the love of his life–the girl he’s always loved–loves him back. This is the face of a boy who’s heart is skipping beat after beat because he can not believe that Lydia Martin has come to love him. This is Stiles Stilinski learning that he is loved. This is Stiles Stilinski in heartachingly beautiful disbelief because he loves the same girl that loves him.

IMAGINE: Steve and (Y/N) getting into a fight and her doing something for him that she hates.
[gif is not mine. I am back! Requests are open, so do it. Reviews will be lovely.]
She stepped inside the compound, the brown bag held tightly in her hands. (Y/N) took a deep breath and opened the door. She locked eyes with the Avengers, minus the one that she was looking for. “Where is he?”
Tony gestured towards the door to the gym, “Might want to not go in there. He’s in a bit of a mood.”
(Y/N) sighed and walked towards the kitchen counter. “Tell me about it.”
“Obviously, otherwise you wouldn’t have married me, silly.” The obnoxious strumming of a guitar continued echoing in the bedroom, making you blindly reach over to grab another pillow and hold it over your head. It was about a week into yours and Harry’s honeymoon, and sure, you were still super lovey-dovey around each other… But he knew how much you hated mornings.
“I know, but it’s only six in the morn-”
“Jus’ in time t’ see the sun rise! C’mon, I haven’t posted anything on my Instagram for a while, we should totally take this opportunity!” Harry beamed, playing a cheerful little tune on the guitar while walking closer to the bed.
“We were up til three yesterday, I’d love you forever if you give me another hour to-”
“You gave me your eternal love once ‘I do’ came outta your mouth, Mrs. Styles.” Harry quipped, setting the guitar down and climbing back onto the bed. You couldn’t help but groan at how irritating he was being, flopping onto your back to look at him with sleepy eyes. (He wasn’t being that irritating. It was just that you found everything irritating at six in the bloody morning.)
“I’m not leaving this bed.” You said firmly, jolting when Harry suddenly ripped the blankets off you, goosebumps immediately rising on your skin from the sudden exposure to cool air. “Harry, I-” Harry crawled over and plopped himself down on top of you, a shit-eating grin plastered on his face. “I know what you’re doing and it’s not going to work.”
“I’m not doing anything!” Harry smiled innocently, leaning down to bury his face into the crook of your neck. “Jus’ givin’ my wife a little loving. Is tha’ so wrong?”
“It’s wrong when you’re asking her to get up at six in the morning to watch a big ball of fire rise in the sky.” You laughed lightly, twitching as you felt Harry nipping on your skin. You knew exactly what he was up to and you weren’t going to fall for it. You had fallen into his trap of seduction far too many times! First, he’d give you kisses and whisper sweet nothings into your ear, and once you agreed to do whatever it was he wanted to do, he’d bolt! (Truth be told, you were guilty of pulling the seduction trap out a couple times when you wanted something from him.)
“I just wanna spend some time with yeh, Mrs. Styles..” Harry purred, hands trailing down to clasp your hips gently.
“We spent plenty of time together yesterday night.” You sighed, swatting his hands away when they began sneaking into another region.
“And the night before.” You took the opportunity to flip the two of you over, Harry smiling up at you as you adjusted yourself, your legs on either side of him.
“And the night before before.” You pointed out, your own fingers beginning to wander down to the knot on his towel. “You know what I think would be a good idea? Another way for us to spend time that doesn’t involve getting outta bed?” You cooed, running your hands over Harry’s broad chest with a sly smirk on your face.
“Tell me.” Harry shifted underneath you, sucking his bottom lip into his teeth. (You could feel him getting excited already, so you knew your plan was working effectively.) You leaned down, your lips hovering over his own before you planted a sweet kiss to the corner of his mouth.
“Sleeping.” You rolled yourself off of Harry, getting back into your comfortable fetal position and tugging the sheets back up to cover up. “Feel free to join me if you’d like. Or you can go take that Instagram picture. Or you can take care of your situation. In the bathroom, preferably. I’d like some peace and quiet so I can fall asleep again. ”
“You’re a piece of shit, yeh know tha’?”
“That’s Mrs. Piece of shit, thank you very much. I’m a married woman now!”
Eugene, today I turned my back on a desperate friend in need. I sent the man I love to face possible death, and then did the same to my oldest friend. I entrusted the entire welfare of Corona to a fairy tale.
I still love the way Eugene’s default response is never to help her make a decision, but rather to give Rapunzel the support and time she needs to make decisions for herself.
I think this particular moment is a nice reprisal to the lyric in her song “I was so darn certain that I got this, but I’m not this, not yet”.
She woke up in the back of his trunk, hands bound with cloth, hair sprawled around her precious face. She blinked her bright eyes open and rolled to her side, the pain that seared through her like hot red fire. She was wearing the same outfit of that as when she’d been knocked out by Joshua parker, a black tee and dark skinnies. She began to kick into the trunk, screaming out, not for herself, but for him.
“KAI!” She screeched in desperation, unable to break the magically sealed binds on her wrists.
It had been early nightfall when Kai’s father had come after her. She’d been able to catch only a moment’s peace with her treasured heretic before a bright blast had hit her in the back, and she’d crumpled onto the floor, the last sound she heard being Kai’s voice crying her name. She knew why Joshua had kidnapped her; it was the only way he could get Kai, and end him once and for all. Now it was dark out, probably around midnight, she presumed from the stars in the pitch black sky.
Suddenly, the car trunk was thrown open, shimmering rays of silver moonlight illuminating her saviors face.
“Kai,” she choked.
His hands were drenched in fresh ruby red blood, big blue eyes lacking their usual glow, lips bent downwards in such a way that the goofball she’d gotten to know seemed almost unrecognizable. His white tee was torn and covered in dirt, long arms stretching into the trunk as he grasped her curled and feeble form in his strong hold.
“Oh god, oh god,” he whispered frantically, more to himself than her. He scooped her bridal style into his arms, eyes flickering across her confused face. His slender fingers came up to brush a stray strand of hair back behind her ears, whispering an incantation under his breath that melted the binds on her wrists.
“I’m okay,” she reassured him as he gingerly set her on her feet and onto the soil.
“This is all my fault,” he breathed, hands cupping at her face, tears coming to his eyes. “Y/N, please, run.”
“I’m not leaving you,” she protested, locking her fingers around his, eyebrows furrowed.
“Now would be a good time to say your goodbye’s,” a voice said from behind her.
Joshua Parker stood with his right hand raised, the left side of his face bruised up from where she assumed Kai had hit him. The look in his eyes was dark and cold, he had no regret for what he was going to do to his own son, nor what he had done in the past. The green grass seemed to droop where he walked, an aura of relentless hatred around his body.
Kai spun away from her at once, eyes locking on his father, his hands raising in front of her like a shield, silver rings glinting under the starlight.
“Don’t you dare touch her,” he growled, his voice dropping low, expression hardening. “Or I swear, I will gladly rip your throat out and tear you apart limb from limb.” Kai’s jaw was set, eyes hooded, and something about the way he spoke and held himself almost scared her, he never acted like this.
His father raised an eyebrow and took a step forward, eyes landing on the girl.
“Ka-” she began.
But in another moment she was thrown forward, her body ragdolling as she went soaring through the air and crumbling onto the ground at Joshua’s feet. A searing pain burst through her arm, and she went rolling onto her side, vision momentarily going black. Joshua parker raised a finger and drew a slit in the air, which began to slice a long red mark across her pale cheeks. Kai leapt forward, her name tumbling off his lips as he dashed into an invisible wall that held him back from her. An orange glow appeared as he began to siphon the magic, but it was so slow that nothing seemed to happen.
“Fool,” his father spat. “I didn’t want to kill you, that would be too kind. So instead you’ll watch as I take the one thing from your life that brought you happiness.”
He drew another slice in the air, now cutting down the flesh of her stomach, and she screamed out in agony as blood spilled across her front and over her trembling hands, tears flooding down her cheeks as Kai screamed out in anguish, his hands clawing at the barrier, knees shaking as he sobbed at the sight of her, looking more broken than ever.
“Please, PAPA!” Kai begged, so scared and fragile, just like the boy who had once been abused and isolated by everyone he loved.
She stretched an arm across the grass, fingertips touching the invisible shield. She was too weak to talk, but her fingers spread across the wall, he knew exactly what she wanted to say.
“Don’t,” he cried, raising his palm against the other side, fingers spreading out against hers, lower lip trembling as his own tears travelled across them.
She gasped out, body convulsing suddenly, the blood draining from her body and onto the grass. She gave a feeble smile to him, unable to utter how much she loved him in any other way.
All at once, where their fingers touched, the invisible barrier began to crack, shattering into a thousand pieces as it disintegrated under their contact. Kai stared in awe as the spell melted into his skin, his eyes closing as the magic flooded into his system like a drug. His fingers traced patterns across her flesh, wounds closing at once, the electricity from his magic sending electrical currents into her healed body. He stood up, eyes fluttering open as he cracked his neck with a faint smirk. His father stared in disbelief, taking a step back when he realized his defense system was down. Joshua gulped down the nervous lump in his throat as Kai approached him slowly, lips splitting into a twisted grin. Kai lifted two of his fingers into the air, and his father began to rise from the ground, panic spreading across his features. Kai released him at just the position where he wouldn’t die, but would instead be filled with intense agony.
“How does that feel, papa?” he asked, snapping his father’s legs with a flick of his wrist. He twisted his fingers, and blood went exploding from his father’s body and onto Kai’s front, to which Kai chuckled, drunk off the rush.
Joshua screamed out in pain, his voice filling the empty night, begging Kai to let him live.
“Kai, stop,” she gasped, watching in horror as he assumed an identity so unlike his own. She dragged herself off the earth and onto her feet, eyes pleading with his own.
Kai froze, dark glare softening under her gaze, “he tried to hurt you, and anyone who tries to lay so much as a finger on you deserves worse than death,” he snarled.
She grabbed his wrists before he could turn away, defiant as she grasped him tightly.
“You’re better than him,” she stated.
Kai tried to turn his head away, unable to resist her control, but she forced his jaw back to hers.
“Hey, hey, look at me,” she commanded.
Kai’s teeth gritted together as he blinked through his long lashes with a shake of his head.
“You’re better,” she whispered softly.
She brought him back down from his craze, and Kai sighed, his shoulders relaxing, full lips parting as he went to speak.
Suddenly, from the corner of her eye, she made out Joshua parker, raising his arm to give one final move before he collapsed for good. He coughed out a spell, and Kai’s ears began to ring, hands flying to his temples as he crumpled to the ground from the noise flooding his body. The girl caught Kai’s body as he sunk to the dirt and cried out, his blue eyes pained as they held to hers, and in the second where she saw him like that, where she was unable to do anything but watch him die, she understood.
“GET THE FUCK AWAY FROM HIM!” she snarled and dashed over to Kai’s father, arm swinging out as she dove towards his crumpled form. Her fist went smashing into his jaw, which cracked under the force, blood exploding across her knuckles. She slammed her fist in one more time for good measure, heart racing as Joshua Parker went still under her blow. She didn’t even care when his eyes met with hers before glazing over, she didn’t care when his heart failed to beat, nor when his body went still.
“Y/N,” Kai’s voice was distant as he pulled himself up to approach her.
She breathed heavily, hair all across her eyes as she stared in disbelief at her bloodied hands. She spun around, eyes locking with Kai’s blue ones. He looked at her with bewilderment, which was fair enough considering he’d never seen her act this way.
“Are you going to make me apologize,” she murmured, voice low. “Because I am sorry, but not for what I did to him. I’m sorry I let you let him live another second.”
Kai was close to her now, eyes flickering across her dark facial expression, wanting to feel scared or sad because of her newfound rage, but with blood on her hands and black in her eyes, he just couldn’t stop himself. His hands grabbed at her cheeks, forcing her face into his as her lips went crashing against his own. Her hands came up against his jaw, and both of them groaned softly against each other’s mouths as their bloody hands left red across their faces.
“I’ve never felt more scared of anything than I have about losing you,” her voice cracked as she pulled back, nose squishing against his. “I love you so so much Malachai Parker,” her face softened, eyes glistening with tears. “I don’t want you to think I’m a bad person, I just-” she stumbled softly.
He pecked at her lips, bringing his bloodied fingers to her cheek and drawing a crimson heart on her flesh.
IMAGINE: It was no secret that Bucky hated his past, how he regrets being the Winter Soldier. What happens when he meets someone that can change his mind?
[gif is not mine. requests are open. let me know what you think]
warnings: swear words, brief harassment, small violence.
word count: 2.4k +
‘He had built up walls for years, keeping everyone out. Then she came into his life and with a touch of her finger the walls crumbled into ashes.’
Everyone knew that Bucky wasn’t one to converse with anyone, to talk to anyone let alone spend a minute in a room with someone that wasn’t Steve. He grunted and nodded, but no actual words ever came out of his mouth. He kept quiet, he kept to himself. No one really knew him, Steve did, but still…There were some things that he kept to himself, things that kept him up at night -waking from his nightmares, knives sheathed out panicking and looking around the room. He hated himself, he hated that he caused a war within a group, forcing everyone to take sides. Even years later when everything was settled, he still felt guilty thus he kept to himself. Maybe, just maybe if he didn’t speak and just did what everyone wanted him to do he could chip away the guilt.
He remembers the day vividly, it’s as if it’s a movie in his head, one that he can replay over and over again. He can pick out the exact moment that he knew in himself that she was going to change him.
“(Y/N), you have to be calm when you meet them, okay kid?” Tony looked over the kid next to him. Granted that she wasn’t a kid anymore, she was still a kid to him. “You can’t embarrass me, I have a reputation to uphold.”
(Y/N) barked out a laugh as she saw Tony puff out his chest, “I cross my heart that I won’t embarrass you.”
Tony smiled at her and opened the door, she instantly saw all the Avengers lounging around -some sitting down, some playing pool and some in the kitchen. He cleared his throat and they stopped and stared at him. “This is (Y/N),” he gestured the awed girl beside him.
She smiled at the group and waved, “I’m his love child,” she waggled her eyebrows and laughed out loudly when she saw the expressions on their face.
“She’s not,” Tony deadpanned. “What did I say about embarrassing me?” She shrugged in reply. Turning back to the group he explained, “She’s a recruit from Isla Nublar, Tony wanted her expertise on something. Plus, I’ve also known her since she was little so she’s like a little sister to me, so if any of you hurt her I will seriously kill you.”
“You can’t just mildly kill them?” (Y/N) teased and she received a jab from him. As they went around the room, introducing (Y/N) to everyone, she was awestruck by just how ordinary they were. Of course she kept up on the details, not hard to really. But it was so different, they were just normal people who were expected to drop everything to fight off the next evil.
After the introductions, she went to the kitchen to fix herself something to eat as everyone was heading to the gym. “For a bunch of superheroes they surprisingly have a lot of junk food in the fridge,” she mused to herself, thinking out loud. “Ooo, lasagne.” She picked out the heavy dish and turned around but bumped into someone.
“SHIT! I am so sorry,” (Y/N) looked at the lasagne and then back to the figure. Their black uniform was covered in red and white sauce. “I got lasagne on you,” she began wiping it off his uniform, after three wipes she realised how awkward it was.
She smiled sheepishly and look up at the man, “Sorry, didn’t mean to awkwardly touch you.” (Y/N) was going to say more but she stopped when she saw who she was talking to. It was Bucky Barnes. She read up on him, fascinated by history as both James Barnes and the Winter Soldier. “It’s not everyday that you get to live the tale that you accidentally dropped lasagne on an infamous assassin.” She tried to lighten the joke being the idiot as the was.
Bucky looked down at her, veiled amusement in his eyes. “Don’t really know the protocol for throwing lasagne at an assassin so forgive me if I don’t know how to act, I’m usually much cooler than this.” She gave him a toothy smile. (Y/N) wasn’t nervous, not at all, nor was she embarrassed.
“It’s okay,” his voice was rough from the lack of use. To his ears it sounded foreign, but to her it sounded beautiful.
“Do you want me to pay for dry-cleaning?” He tilted his head. “Uh, dry-cleaning is like this fancy service that you use when you want something to be professionally cleaned.” She sounded so unsure, but at the same time her voice was gentle and not at all patronising.
“I know what dry-cleaning is,” he gave her a small quick smile.
She found that she liked it when he smiled, he seemed younger and more relaxed even though she saw it for at least 3 seconds. “That’s good, that’s good.” She muttered, then looking down at the floor. “I haven’t been in the compound a day and I’ve already made a mess.” (Y/N) walked to the counter to fetch the kitchen roll, once in her hand she bent down and started wiping.
“Want some help?” Bucky knelt down and ripped some paper.
Maybe it was the way that she didn’t seem afraid of him and she treated him like a normal person. Or maybe it was because she made him laugh -something that hasn’t happened to him for so long. Or maybe it was her small, awkward yet charming smile that made him feel lighter than he’s ever felt before.
From that day on Bucky seeked out (Y/N), he came out of his room more, stayed in rooms longer than before. Of course everyone noticed his odd behaviour, it was hard not to. Bucky didn’t actively participate in conversations, but when (Y/N) asked him a question, flashed him a smile, or tried to include him in the conversation he reciprocated.
They were sitting in the living room, Stranger Things playing on the television. “You’re enjoying this,” she teased as she saw him lean in trying to figure out the scene.
Bucky leaned back nonchalantly and turned his head towards her, “It’s…different.”
He nodded hesitantly. “It’s nice.”
She smiled triumphantly and leaned back, her arms touching his lightly. She tried not to think of how warmth seemed to radiate of him, or just how nice he smelt.
(Y/N) passed him the pizza, “Thanks, doll.” (Y/N)’s hand froze and turned to him.
He felt his face redden, and his hands clamp up. He didn’t mean to say that out loud, he didn’t mean for that nickname to slip. He didn’t turn to her, afraid of her reaction. It was an intimate nickname for someone, so he wouldn’t be surprised if she got up and left, never speaking to him again.
She made an appreciative noise, “I like that.”
Startled, he turned to her, “What?”
“I like that. It’s cute and it’s very you,” she gave him a grin and a wink. “Doll,” she tried it out, rolling the word off her tongue.
He smiled at her when she clucked her tongue, “Don’t I get a nickname?”
She narrowed her eyes, smiled and tilted her head, “Hm, what to call you. Buckster?” She tried out and she chuckled at his horrified expression. “Buckarro?” He poked her this time. “I know, I’ll call you James.”
This time he chuckled, “That’s my name, not exactly a nickname.”
“Except no one calls you that and that’s why it’s perfect. Everyone calls you Barnes, or Bucky, but never James. The name is something just the two of us,” she smiled at him.
He felt his heart quicken and reciprocated her smile. It was genuine and it was wide. It was the smile that he would have had on his face practically all the time back in the 40s. As they continued watching the show, he realized that he liked it when she said the two of them. ‘Just between the two of them.’ He smiled, contented for the first time.
(Y/N) stood in line, trying to memorize everyone’s drink order. She felt a hand touch her backside and she turned around, “What are you doing?”
The man behind her gave her a lopsided smile. Even under the bad fluro lights she could see that his eyes were glossy and he could hardly stand on his on two feet. “Hey there pretty lady.” He gave her a wink and (Y/N) screwed up her nose in disgust. “Don’t be like that,” he tried to touch her arm but she yanked it away.
“Don’t touch me,” she growled, her arms ready to fight just in case.
“Come on, pretty lady,” he yanked her by the waist and she yelped. (Y/N) hardly had time to hit the man as he was yanked off her. She tumbled to the ground, and watched as Bucky hit the man over and over again. Noticing how hard the punches were she pulled herself up and ran to where Bucky was.
“Bucky!” He didn’t turn around. He held the man’s collar and pulled his hand back to punch him again. “Bucky! Bucky!” (Y/N) ran and touched his shoulder, “James.” This time he turned around. Letting the man go.
She saw how his eyes and his face were different, she tentatively touched his cheek, “James, come back to me darling. Come back to me.” She rubbed his cheek affectionately, “I’m here, just come back to me, please.”
His gaze softened, and he cupped the hand that was on his cheek.
Bucky was sure that (Y/N) would have ran away, fleeing as she saw the side of him he desperately never wanted anyone to see, especially her. But all she did was hold his hand, nodding to Steve and took him outside leading him to the car.
Once they were in the safety of the complex, (Y/N) opened Bucky’s door and pulled him in. “Are you okay?”
He didn’t answer, instead he fell to his knees. (Y/N) knelt down and pushed back his hair, “Buck?”
“I’m sorry,” it was soft and she could hardly hear him but at the same time she could hear it clearly, the emotion; the heartbreak, anger and sadness.
(Y/N) launched herself at him, wrapping her arms around his neck, squeezing him tighter as each second passed by. Once they broke apart she looked at him, “Never, ever apologize for that. Never apologize for that James.”
“I let him out, I never wanted to let him out.”
She could have burst out crying at how small he sounded. “No matter what, he will always be a part of you James, you can never erase him but,” she closed her eyes and shook her head. “Don’t ever be ashamed for something that you never did. You needed to be brainwashed, you needed a long time to transfer from James to the Winter Soldier. You’re not him.”
Bucky wrapped his arms around her, never letting her go, “You’re not him. You’re Steve’s Bucky, you’re my James, you’re our Barnes. Never forget that.” She gave him a kiss on the top of his head, “Even if you do, I’ll always be here to make you remember.”
“Always.” It was such a simple word but it was filled with so much more than it could possibly contain. He felt his heart open, and it all it took was one word for his walls to be tore down.
It was a casual day, there was nothing important. She was in her pyjamas, and he was in his gym clothes. Both of them sat at the kitchen counter, each eating their respective breakfast.
“What would you say if I asked you on a date doll?” He didn’t look at her, fear of her rejection.
She placed her spoon down, “I would say that it took you long enough James.” When he looked up he could see her smile, happiness radiating off her face.
He was Bucky before. He was known for charming the dames, being everyone’s friend and always being there for Steve. Then he was known as the Winter Soldier. He was adored. One of the greatest killing machines that HYDRA has ever created. He was feared. Then he was Barnes. Long gone was Bucky (though not for Steve, he would always be Bucky for Steve), buried underneath everything, and long gone was the Winter Soldier. He was Barnes and he was part of the Avengers. He was accepted. Finally, he was James. Her James to be exact. He was understood, loved and adored. She was the one person that managed to find him when he was so lost in the dark. She was the beacon in his life that he longed for, that he thought was long gone because of the atrocities that he committed.
But here she was, next to him, one of her arms carelessly tossed on his stomach, one under the pillow. As Bucky stroked her hair, she softly groaned and lifted her head. “Hey Buck, is it morning yet?”
He gave her a small smile. “No, not yet.” (Y/N) sat up and stretched, then with a grin she straddled him.
She grabbed his metal arm and fiddled with his fingers, “You know we could just etch the ring on your finger, I mean you won’t ever lose it that way.” (Y/N) leaned forward and laid on his chest.
He loved this position, mostly because he could feel her heartbeat. “I’m not you, doll, I mean how many times have you lost your ring?” He felt her lightly smack him, and he started running his hand down her back.
“Shut it, you love me.”
“Maybe I don’t.”
“You’re marrying me.”
“Eh,” he gave her a shrug and sat back up.
“Do I have to convince you that marrying me would be the greatest thing ever?” She grinded her hips against his, and smirked when he groaned.
“The greatest thing ever was meeting you doll,” he sat up and kissed her.
Bucky managed to find someone to break him out of his shell. A person who managed to keep the nightmares at bay, even on the rare occasions he had them she was there right by his side, brushing his hair back and whispering comforting words in his ear. He found the person that managed to love his past even when he couldn’t.
“Ow, frick.” You muttered to yourself when you accidentally walked into the coat rack, reaching up to grab it quickly so that it wouldn’t fall over.
You weren’t sure what time it was, but you knew for sure it was pretty late. You thought you’d be back around two hours ago, but those fruity drinks at the bar kept calling your name and you couldn’t help but stay for two (or four) more drinks with Y/F/N! You hadn’t hung out with her for a hot minute and you could honestly say it was one of the best nights you’d had in a while. So yeah, maybe you were a little tipsy, but at least you were able to make it back home safe! The only problem you faced now was Harry. Harry didn’t mind when you went to hang out with your friends. In fact, he encouraged it! (“I promise you I’ll log out of Netflix if you don’t get off your arse, love.”) He just didn’t like it when you came home in the wee hours of the morning.
A plan was bubbling away in your mind as you made your way up the stairs as quietly as possible, thinking about how you could conduct yourself in a way where Harry wouldn’t wake up. He usually went to bed pretty early, plus he was a deep sleeper. Your plan was super, super simple. All you had to do was a) get into the room, b) go to the dresser in the dark, c) change into a clean shirt, d) go to the washroom to wash your face and brush your teeth, e)- You froze when one of the steps creaked under your foot before you took another cautious step up the stairs. The point was: Get changed, slip into bed, and don’t wake Harry up.
“Get changed, slip into bed, don’t wake your boyfriend up.” You sang quietly, twisting the doorknob and opening the door slowly before poking your head in. This was exciting! It was like you were a spy on a secret mission. If you were a spy, you’d be the best spy. Scratch that, you’d be the bestest spy!
“I’d be the bestest spy.” You trailed off, squinting your eyes as you tried to maneuver yourself in the dark. You perked up when you felt the handle of the dressers, pulling it open and rummaging through it for a shirt. “Move over, James Bond.” You giggled to yourself, wiggling out of your dress and nearly stumbling over your feet. “The name’s Bond. Y/N Bon-” You stopped when the room suddenly flooded with dim light, turning around to see a groggy Harry with his hand on the lamp switch.
“Don’ remember hiring a stripper. I’m in a committed relationship, thank you very much.” Harry rubbed the sleep out of his eyes, lips tugging up in a lazy smirk at the sight of your half-naked state.
“I won’t tell if you won’t tell.” You joked, padding over to Harry and flopping down on top of him, your legs on either side of his torso.
“You said you were comin’ home three hours ago, you dolt. Didn’t pick up your phone when I called.” Harry hummed, hands gripping your hips lightly before he squeezed.
“I know, I know.” You yawned, stretching your limbs and wincing when you felt a couple cracks. “Ooh, wanna know something that happened tonight? Y/F/N was getting drinks for us and-”
“Y/N, it’s three in the morning. Shh…” You squeaked when Harry patted your face and shut his eyes again.
“I know, but- Woah!” You giggled when Harry shoved you off of him before rolling on top of you, pinning you down with a loose grip.
“I think the bestest spy should be the bestest at keepin’ quiet, so why don’ we do tha’?” He hummed, reaching over and flicking the lights off.
