and he said see you later

It was supposed to be an innocent trip to the movies– a date night because the two had been horribly busy over the last two weeks.

Keith picked Lance up around seven and was surprised to see the latter looking incredibly pale and bundled up in a coat despite the early fall temperatures.

“You’re sick,” Keith said flatly as Lance eased himself into the passenger seat. His hands gripped tightly around the wheel, but he kept his eyes trained on the brunet.

“I’m okay,” Lance said, but seconds later, he had to turn away to cough harshly into the crook of his elbow.

“Lance-”

“I said I’m fine,” Lance muttered out tiredly as a few, weaker coughs slipped past his lips. “Yeah I’m a little sick, but I haven’t seen you in two weeks, Keith. I want to spend time with you.”

Sighing, Keith leaned toward Lance and brushed a hand against the brunet’s too warm cheek. “We can spend the night in. We don’t have to go out.”

Lance shook his head. “We agreed on a proper date night. Let’s just go. I’ll be fine.”

Keith was reluctant, but he couldn’t counter Lance’s stubbornness. He put the car in drive and pulled out of the parking spot he was in.

Feelings- Josh Dun

It’s been 8 months since you left your previous boyfriend, Will and considering the 3 years of mental, emotional, and physical abuse he put you through, you were doing great.

“So are you coming tonight?” Tyler asked when he called you.

“Yeah, I plan to. Why are you so eager for me to be there?” you asked your best friend since 4th grade.

“There is someone I want you to meet. You guys are seriously perfect for each other.” he said.

“Tyler, I don’t need you to set me up with anyone. I can find people on my own.”

“Clearly not good people. Shall I even bring up Will?” he said. Tyler always hated Will from the beginning and Tyler was always there for you when he hurt you.

“Shut up. I’ll see you later.” you said your goodbyes and hung up.

Tyler was really protective over you, you two were basically like siblings. So this guy he wants you to meet must be really special.

After getting ready for the party it was time you head out.

Once getting to the party you were greeted by a really excited Tyler.

“Y/N! How you been?” he asked pulling you into a hug.

“Great. But enough about me, how are you.”

You two talked for a while before a guy with bright yellow hair caught your eye from across the room.

“Hey who’s that?” you asked Tyler pointing to the man with yellow hair.

“Oh that’s Josh, the guy I wanted you to meet. He’s the drummer for my band.”

“Oh. Why have I never met him before?” you asked because you’ve been to plenty of their concerts but never saw him.

“Y/N don’t forget Will never let you see me the entire time you dated.” he pointed out.

“God do you ever let go of things?” you joked.

“No. Now do you want to meet your perfect match or not?” he said grabbing your wrist and it made you jump. “Oh shit, I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to scare you.”

“No, It’s okay. I just get shocked when people grab at me.” you said looking to the floor.

“You okay?” he asked.

“Yeah, I’m fine.” you said looking up to see the Josh was walking your way.

“Hey Tyler, who’s this pretty girl you’re talking to?”  Josh asked Tyler.you blushed and looked down to your feet before looking up again to see Tyler with a smirk on his face.

“This is my very best friend, Y/N.”

“Oh wow real nice Tyler, didn’t know you had another best friend.” Josh joked. “So you’re the famous Y/N Tyler talks about all the time.”

“Really, he does? Hopefully all good things.” you said.

“I’ll catch up with you two love birds later.” Tyler said then walking off.

“Lovebirds? I think that was kind of fast to label.” you said admiring Josh’s face.

“Well from everything Tyler has told me about you, I feel like I’ve known you for years.”

For the next 2 hours or so you two flirted back and forth.

“It’s getting kind of late, I should probably get going soon.” you said once the conversation started to die.

“Come on the night’s still young. Come dance with me.” he said standing and offering a hand.

“Okay, why not.” you said letting him lead you to a place to dance to the music.

While dancing and talking you saw a familiar face looking at you from afar. It was Will, he looked angry and your anxiety kicked in.

“Y/N are you okay?” Josh asked but you could barely her him. You just stood there staring at Will.

“Hey, Y/N is that your ex?” Josh asked and it pulled you from your stare.

“How did you know about him?”

“Tyler told me.” he said. “Let’s go somewhere else, okay? I’ll get someone to get him out of here. You’re safe with me.” he said leading you away to another room.

“Thank you Josh.” you said sitting down on the couch in the new room.

“No problem. I just texted a friend and he’s taking care of him. You don’t need to worry.” he said placing a hand on your knee. You looked up into his eyes and you couldn’t stop looking into them.

They were soft and kind looking, unlike the mean cold ones you were use to.

“This might be totally out of line, but can I kiss you?” Josh asked and you nodded.

The kiss was like nothing you felt before. There was an unfamiliar feeling behind it. Love maybe?

You pulled away for air and you both smiled at eachother.

“Y/N?” Josh said taking your hand in his.

“Yeah?”

“You’re beautiful and this might be too soon, but you make me feel something different from anything I’ve ever felt before.” you blushed as he spoke.

“Josh it’s never too soon to confess your feelings.” you said leaning in and closing the gap between your lips and his.

“Thank god. I thought you would think I was a freak or something.”

“How could I think you’re a freak. You’re so kind and might I add very handsome.” you said making him blush.

“What do you say I take you on a date? This weekend you, me, and where ever you want to go.”

“That sounds very lovely.”

You exchanged numbers and you realized it was getting a little late.

“I really should get going now. I have work in the morning.” you explained.

“I’ll walk you to your car, I should head out too.” he said standing and taking your hand in his again.

He lead you outside to your car where he held onto your hand for a while and looked into your eyes. You did the same. Something about those big brown eyes were so captivating to you.

“I had a really good time. Thank you.” you said placing a kiss on his cheek and letting go of his hand.

“I did too. I’ll talk to you later.” he said moving so you could get into your car.

You sat in your seat and closed the door before rolling down the window.

“Bye Y/N.” Josh said placing a kiss to your forehead.

“Bye Josh.” with that you drove away with a huge smile on your face. You heart was seriously melting. God Josh was so nice. You couldn’t believe you spent so much time with that asshole named Will, when there was a perfect man out there named Josh.

Once you pulled into the parking garage of you apartment building you heard your phone go off.

It was a text from Josh

You ended up calling Taeyong a few weeks later. As soon as the line began to ring, you wanted to hang up. What if he forgot all about you? What if he didn’t even remember your name? More importantly, what if he was already seeing someone? Maybe you should’ve texted him first, you thought, as it continued to ring in your ear.

anonymous asked:

Can I ask for Zenyatta proposeing to reader pls?

Zenyatta nervously stared forward and Genji patted his back, humming out in reassurance.

“They are obviously in love with you,” Genji said, “They’re going to say yes, just ask them.”

Zenyatta’s body relaxed at his pupil’s reassuring words and tilted his head with relief. You came in to see Genji rubbing your boyfriend’s back and you raised your eyebrow.

“Should I come back later?” you asked and Genji shook his head.

“I was just leaving,” he got up and practically ran from the room, giving Zenyatta a very unsubtle thumbs up.

“What was that about?” you asked as Genji peered into the room from the doorway.

“Nothing,” he said, his hands rubbing together nervously.

“Are you alright?” you asked, rubbing his arm reassuringly.

You peered up at him and his chest grew uncomfortably warm, his hand instinctively going to rub it. There was something in the glint of your eyes and he just blurted out.

“Marry me?”

You fluttered your eyelashes in surprise and your mouth opened slightly, Zenyatta starting to grow little flustered which was unusual for the Shambali monk.

“I am being serious,” he gently reassured, pulling out the ring, “I would like to spend my life with you.”

“I would like that as well,” you said, sliding your hand onto his.

He gently slid the ring onto your finger, your chest growing tight with emotion. You threw yourself into his arms and laughed, his own body filled with joy. Genji gave a soft, yoush, from the doorway before leaving, Zenyatta’s arms rubbing your back.

anonymous asked:

So, I'm just really curious and please forgive my ignorance... But what do you have against the ToZ anime?

First of all, Anon, I owe you an apology! Sorry for taking too long, I didn’t have the time to focus on this. Because I’ve seen this question appear every day in my dash, I feel the need to thoroughly and honestly answer this. And exactly because of this I decided to make a separete post answering your question.

I’m currently writing it and I’m on page 3 in Word so hopefully I’ll post it before tomorrow.

But I can’t just leave you hanging, so I’m going to sum up my answer here and you can read my longer answer later if you’re still curious and want to see the other side of the story:

As I’ve said before Zestiria is about Sorey. Sorey’s dream, life, loved ones and his duty as a Sheperd. Sorey has his big dream of coexistence and he sheds blood for it in the game.

He suffers, he cries, he fights tooth and nail for his dream to become a reality. At the beginning in the game he hasn’t got a clue about how this world really works, he despises the idea of killing. By the end of the game he matured, he know the world is not only black and white and he warms up to the idea of killing if it’ll save the victim.

He has a character development in the game while in the meantime Anime!Sorey starts and ends with the same personality and view. Consistency is the key, many say but not here (and the anime sure as hell wasn’t consistent).

And I’ve only talked about Sorey in short, don’t get me started on the others.

Major plot points were cut off or alterned in the anime and lots of things just didn’t made any sense. Dezel’s kamikaze death, for example.

I get that for the Alisha fans the anime is the Messiah or something but if you put that aside Ufotable had to not just alter the story itself to fit for Alisha, they had to change Alisha herself too. She’s not like that in the game. Heck, her backstory is completely different.

Ufotable said that they’re going to correct the game’s mistakes, but what I see is that they made the good things absolutely shit. No character development, seraphim in the closet basically, Sorey is not even the main character anymore and all I hear in the anime is Alisha Alisha Alisha.

If they wanted to make an anime about Alternative!Anime!Alisha they shouldn’t have title it Tales of Zestiria.

What I personally wanted to see was their struggle, their dynamics. What I got was the shell of something with so much potential. Which is a shame, really.

In my town here in Georgia an 11 year old and an 8 year old went missing on their walk home from school. Thankfully they were found safe a few hours later quite far from where they should have been.

I saw a news story the next day that said the kids told the police they were trying to walk to New York to see relatives.

When I woke my 10 year old up this morning the first thing I said was, “Aaron, can you walk to New York from here?”

He looked at me like I was nuts and said, “Noooooo.”

I asked, “Why?”

In his ‘duh’ voice he answered, “It’s too far.”

So I can be glad at least my child won’t try walking to New York. :-p

I’ve wanted to talk for So Long about the portrayal of anxiety in YOI but I’ve been having so much trouble putting together what I want to say in the most effective manner. I kept trying to come at this in a more analytical fashion, but considering that this is such a personally important topic to me, I’m going to try a more emotional approach. Something I don’t normally do.

So really, to start off, I wanna say that I’m so damn thankful for the way Yuuri is written. Really, seriously. I don’t think I’ve ever had the ability to relate more to character; Yuuri is close to a mirror of my own experiences with anxiety and it’s so fantastic to have a model of development and growth for me and people like me. I found the portrayal to be frighteningly accurate, from types of thoughts, behaviors, mannerisms… I think the episode that stood out to me the most in terms of Yuuri’s anxiety was ep7, aka Yuuri’s on-screen panic attack episode.

The first thing I noticed was this:

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve found myself in that exact position. I bounce my legs when I panic, just like Yuuri is doing here. Head in his hands, breathing heavily, bouncing and jostling limbs. This isn’t the Mary-Sue cutesy portrayal of anxiety–this is a real anxiety disorder. It’s not pretty. It’s not easy. It can’t be fixed with a single word or a touch or a person. Quite frankly, it’s ugly and you lose control of your body.

“There was a lot of sickness in my house. My wife has heart problems and is connected to oxygen. I was drinking a lot. Everyone kept to themselves and stayed in their rooms. But one day I had a prophecy in the church that I would have a very big happiness. The prophecy said that someone was going to come and fill all the voids of my home. A few weeks later my daughter was pregnant. And here he is! He’s consumed my entire life. I get to watch him every afternoon. I want him to see me as the happy grandpa who never says ‘no.’ I don’t even drink anymore. He’s brought our entire family together. Recently my wife told me: ‘I can tell you are so happy. Your eyes are always sparkling now.’”

(Medellín, Colombia)

it’s a friday afternoon when sana asks isak a question.

“isak, don’t you ever feel like you don’t fit in with the boys?”

isak looks at her and frowns a little. he’d been midway through talking about how annoying vilde and magnus are, and he hadn’t really anticipated her question.

but he notices the seriousness in her expression. the little bit of vulnerability in her eyes. how it seems like it took a lot for her to ask that.

so, he replies as seriously as he can.

“sure, sometimes,” he admits. “sometimes it’s like…all they want to talk about is hooking up with chicks, or which girls are the hottest or whatever.” he shakes his head. “it isn’t like they mean to leave me out, but it’s not like i join in with that stuff either. it can be kind of awkward when all they want to do is talk about hooking up with girls.”

sana simply nods. and isak studies her, noticing the trouble on her face. “is everything okay?”

sana nods again. quickly and a little dismissively. because sana doesn’t want to bitch about her friends - or come across like she’s bitching about her friends. she would never want to say anything negative about them, even if it eats her up inside. and isak isn’t about to pressure her into talking if she doesn’t feel like it, so he just nods, too, and says, “okay.”

but a little later, the girl squad joins them. and isak notices something. notices how sana’s eyes fall to her knees when they come over; how she seems distant. detached from her friends. completely removed from the conversation, really. and how, worse yet, none of sana’s friends seem to notice.

when vilde asks sana whether she’ll be able to make it to the party tomorrow - and asks whether she can persuade elias and his friends to come too - isak sees how uncomfortable sana looks. how she opens her mouth, stuttering over an excuse she can’t bring herself to make.

she just seems tired, above all else, and isak remembers so, so clearly how that feels. like your friends don’t get you. don’t understand you. how suffocating it can be to experience that.

so, isak says, “but, sana, i thought you agreed to help me and even unpack the rest of our stuff tomorrow?”

and sana looks at him, frowning, because no, she didn’t. but he just widens his eyes a little, as if to say, the excuse is there if you need it. and sana smiles a tiny bit - barely there - before saying, “yeah, sorry, i said i’d help them.”

later, when it’s just isak and sana again, he gets up to leave - he’s meeting even at kb in a bit - and he says, “see you tomorrow, then, sanasol.”

and sana, confused, says, “you weren’t serious about me helping you unpack, were you? haven’t you finished unpacking?”

and isak just smirks, frowning a little, shaking his head. “yeah, we’ve finished unpacking. but you’re still coming over, right?”

sana just looks at him and says, “what for?”

isak shrugs. “just thought we could all hang together, if that’s chill.”

and sana smiles softly, eyes warm, and usually she’d tease him or something but she doesn’t feel like it all of a sudden. because, actually, the idea of hanging with isak and even seems like just the thing she needs right now.

“yeah,” she says. “that’s chill.”

Lipstick

Draco found the tube under his bed. He knew it was the lipstick Pansy had lost and had been bitching about for days to anyone within earshot. He also knew that she had owl ordered a new one although, that wasn’t why he didn’t give it back.

He waited until everyone was in the great hall for dinner, spell locking the bathroom door behind him before he even dared to take the lipstick from his pocket. He opened it carefully, setting the outer tube on the ceramic counter with a soft click that seemed to fill the empty room. He twisted the tube and the deep red lipstick rose, feeling accusing just by being exposed to the air, in his hands, alone in this room.

A single faint tremor went through his hand. If his friends, if his family ever found out- He couldn’t bear the thought. But it was just curiosity, nothing more. Once he had done it, he would just leave the lipstick in the common room somewhere and be done with it. It was just once.

Draco bit his bottom lip thoughtfully and then lean forward. He hastily dried his lip with his thumb and then carefully traced his bottom lip, leaving pale red in its wake. He blinked, his heart rate picking up as he carefully went over his lip until the color was as deep and rich as the lipstick itself. He was a little too hasty on his upper lip and had to use some tissue to clean up the line until it was perfect.

He pressed his lips together and let them go. It was like looking at someone else. He had never paid much attention to his lips before except in passing.  They had a nice shape and the lipstick made them seem fuller and bigger. Draco leaned back from the mirror, shivering when he took in all of himself. The red was so stark against his pale skin, stark and bold. His cheeks were flushing with excitement and nerves.

He liked it. He liked everything about it.

If Styles hadn’t yet adapted to global social-media attention, he was tested in 2012, when he met Taylor Swift at an awards show. Their second date, a walk in Central Park, was caught by paparazzi. Suddenly the couple were global news. They broke up the next month, reportedly after a rocky Caribbean vacation; the romance was said to have ended with at least one broken heart.

The relationship is a subject he’s famously avoided discussing. “I gotta pee first. This might be a long one,” he says. He rises to head to the bathroom, then adds, “Actually, you can say, ‘He went for a pee and never came back.‘ ”

He returns a couple of minutes later. “Thought I’d let you stew for a while,” he says, laughing, then takes a gulp of green juice. He was surprised, he says, when photos from Central Park rocketed around the world. “When I see photos from that day,” he says, “I think: Relationships are hard, at any age. And adding in that you don’t really understand exactly how it works when you’re 18, trying to navigate all that stuff didn’t make it easier. I mean, you’re a little bit awkward to begin with. You’re on a date with someone you really like. It should be that simple, right? It was a learning experience for sure. But at the heart of it – I just wanted it to be a normal date.”

He’s well aware that at least two of Swift’s songs – “Out of the Woods” and “Style” – are considered to be about their romance. (“You’ve got that long hair slicked back, white T-shirt,” she sang in “Style.”) “I mean, I don’t know if they’re about me or not …” he says, attempting gallant discretion, “but the issue is, she’s so good, they’re bloody everywhere.” He smiles. “I write from my experiences; everyone does that. I’m lucky if everything [we went through] helped create those songs. That’s what hits your heart. That’s the stuff that’s hardest to say, and it’s the stuff I talk least about. That’s the part that’s about the two people. I’m never going to tell anybody everything.” (Fans wondered whether “Perfect,” a song Styles co-wrote for One Direction, might have been about Swift: “And if you like cameras flashing every time we go out/And if you’re looking for someone to write your breakup songs about/Baby, I’m perfect.”)

Was he able to tell her that he admired the songs? “Yes and no,” he says after a long pause. “She doesn’t need me to tell her they’re great. They’re great songs … It’s the most amazing unspoken dialogue ever.”

Is there anything he’d want to say to Swift today? “Maybe this is where you write down that I left!” He laughs, and looks off. “I don’t know,” he finally says. “Certain things don’t work out. There’s a lot of things that can be right, and it’s still wrong. In writing songs about stuff like that, I like tipping a hat to the time together. You’re celebrating the fact it was powerful and made you feel something, rather than ‘this didn’t work out, and that’s bad.’ And if you run into that person, maybe it’s awkward, maybe you have to get drunk … but you shared something. Meeting someone new, sharing those experiences, it’s the best shit ever. So thank you.”

Why do people think Lena will be evil? Of all the Lena Luthor versions just one is really a villain

Why do people always say that Lena has to be evil if they follow the Comics when she isn’t evil in most of them? And she isn’t evil in other TV appareances either. Let’s see what we have here:

In the comics

First version

Was first introduced in Superman’s Girlfriend, Lois Lane #23. This version of her has psychic abilities thanks to one of Lex’s experiments. She wants to work wih the FBI but they don’t let her because of her past. She joins a band of criminals only to bring them back to justice and after Supergirl discovers this she tries to get her that job with the FBI. She’s good and she loses her abilities later.

Second version

She first appears in Superman: Secret Origin and then in Adventure Comics. This version of Lena is paralyzed after an accident. She’s a single mom, she has a daughter, Lori Luthor.  Lex cures Lena but then uncures her and  won’t reveal how he did it until Superman is dead. She’s not evil in this version either.

Third Version

She’s in The New 52 era of the DC comics. This version of Lena suffered from G.B. syndrome and when Lex tried to cure her faster he left her paralyzed. She works in the labs of Lexcorp and she helps it become a global powerhouse. After a lot of stuff happens she turns against Lex and becomes a supervillian, Ultrawoman. She gains powers in this version too.

Fourth version

She’s from Supergirl: Cosmic Adventures in the Eighth Grade. She’s Linda (Kara)’s best friend. They attend the same boarding school. She’s 13 and she’s super smart. She’s actually really nice and a really good friend, she’s a little antagonistic, not really a villain though. She blames Supergirl for what happened to Lex but after some things happen she changes her mind.

Bonus

I don’t think Lex’s daugther, Lena Luthor II, counts because that’s not really the same character. In that universe Lex did have a sister named Lena, who was killed by their foster father, and he named his daughter after her. His daughter, Lena, was controlled by Brainiac.

In TV shows

First Version

She was in Superboy, a TV show from 1988. Lex and Lena were abused by their father all the time when they were kids. Lex kills their parents and some years later Lena fakes her death to escape the Luthor name. When Lex finds out she “died” he tries to destroy the planet but Lena, who was found by Clark and Lana, stops him. She was good.

Second Version

She appeared in Smallville initially as Tess Mercer, who later discovers she’s Lutessa Lena Luthor. She’s the illegitimate daughter of Lionel and was left in an orphanage when she was five. She works a lot with Clark and is part of the Checkmate organization. She seemed antagonistic at first but she was good.

And then, we have our Lena and so far she seems to be nothing but good, and Katie has said so, she’s genuine and honest, what you see is what you get. So I don’t really think they will turn her into a villain

Touka and Kaneki a Step in the Right Direction

Touka and Kaneki are two characters in Tokyo Ghoul that in many ways have created a chemical reaction. Sometimes they are able to come together and make something useful but other times they cause an explosion. Touka and Kaneki are two characters who are similar but have reacted to their world differently.

They are both lonely being raised by a single parent after the sudden death of the other, and the parent who raised them left permanent scars. Touka was raised by a hypocrite who told her that humans were to be cherished as he killed them behind her back. He would later leave home one night and never come home leaving Touka to develop abandonment issues, as she never felt good enough to keep her father around. She also kept her fathers lessons close to her heart and whenever she strayed she thought of herself as a monster.

Kaneki was raised by a mother who treated him kindly with conditions, as long as he was quiet and a good boy she treated him fine. But god forbid he acted like a normal child and didn’t think of his mothers issues he was abused. Then on top of that his mother died so suddenly that he felt abandoned and his foster family in his aunt made him a recluse which made him feel worse. Kaneki also carried around the twisted message of letting himself get hurt for the sake of others.

Touka and Kaneki grew from this so differently, Touka turned bitter towards that life before she was able to examine herself, and find peace with her lifestyle. Kaneki on the other hand internalized his frustrations acting like he was at piece with his life on the outside, but he was tearing himself apart on the inside. They developed opposite of each other, as Touka matured Kaneki fell apart. They worked so well together in the beginning because in the first part of tg they had similar development. Kaneki and Touka were trying to figure out what it meant to be a ghoul. Kaneki was trying to learn what his new life of a ghoul had for him, and Touka was learning that she could live a normal life away from the violent circle of hatred. Their paths meshed together so they grew together until a the same sunlight in a way.

However, as much as they grew together, they also grew closer together, the more their faults started to creep up on them both. Touka wanted to protect Kaneki because he was once human. But as Touka did that Kaneki became more concerned and decided to protect her at the cost of himself.

But in Kaneki’s need to protect her he hit her weakest emotional cord, abandonment. He told her he wasn’t going to go home with her, and told her she couldn’t help him and asked Tsukiyama and Banjou to go with him in front of her. All her childhood insecurities came back in that moment, she wasn’t good enough and it hurt her.

It was at this point that they developed separate from each other, where Touka became a normal high school girl and Kaneki became a serial killer and gang boss. They developed into two completely different paths and they didn’t know how to approach each other. When they met up again it showed through their conversation which inevitably resulted in Kaneki lying about being fine and Touka hitting him and telling him he hates how he changed. This exact moment triggered both of their childhood trauma’s. Touka with her issues of her not being good enough for her father and how he couldn’t confide in her. Causing her to lash out against everything he taught her, and Kaneki with his abuse and him doing exactly what she wanted from him.

However, because of the Anteiku raid they never got to reconcil, so thus three years go by and Kaneki is reborn as Haise. They developed apart and had a fresh start as Touka the waitress and Haise the investigator. This is so important because this is the time that without the burden of a past they fell for each other. This taught Touka a very important lesson, that she cares for Kaneki enough to let him go, but that she still cares for him and that not every change in him is bad. Kaneki learned that he has a permanent home in Touka one that she won’t take away based on conditions because even after she said she hated his change she gave him a place to return.

Then Kaneki changed again to a highly suicidal Kaneki, willing to die to be cool, to protect others. He hit his lowest low of the series and it was in that moment Touka said three words the struck him “See you later.” which he thought was cruel because he wanted to die. Touka knew but wanted him to understand the meaning of that and it caused him to hesitate to doubt, which lead to him making a change of heart during their fight with Arima.

Kaneki and Touka are two characters that develop off of each other, they bring out the best and worst in each other. They both hit cords in each other, but they also can heal wounds that they never realized they had. This conversation between them in this chapter is an important example of that. Touka admits her man issue with Kaneki, which is the fact that he always leaves her. Something she never understood and something she keeps trying to fix to no avail. Then he tells her that it was to protect her, because he didn’t want to cause her trouble where she would end up dead.

Then he asked her to come with him, which filled the void that she had for so long. Touka also helped fill one for Kaneki as well, which was his loneliness. I’m not saying that Touka is a cure for his problems but through her confession she showed him that she cared. Which shocked him like he couldn’t even believe, that someone cared for him.

I think that the most amazing thing that even if he doesn’t accept the feelings romantically its important for him to know. Kaneki isn’t in any shape or form mentally to be with someone, he’s someone living for the moment holding onto a fragile string to survive. But for someone who has craved being loved for so long, it’s something he needed to here, that someone accepts him with his faults and respects his decision for death even if they don’t agree and don’t want him to die.

This is so important because Touka and Kaneki have reached the moment where they realized the mistakes that they made that caused the other hurt. They were able to talk about it and reach a positive note for both of them, and I excited with how this will help them develop positively moving forward.

Jack Zimmermann was accustomed to dealing with difficult situations; he was captain of the Samwell Men’s Hockey team after all, but this? This was never in the job description.

“Can I tell you a secret?” Bitty whispered into the side of Jack’s neck, breath hot and sweet against his skin. The kegster ended a while ago but Bitty was still feeling the effects. When he fell off the coffee table attempting to dance to All the Single Ladies, Jack swept in ready to piggyback him to bed.

“Alright,” Jack said, mouthing I got this in Lardo’s direction before heading to the stairs.

“I don’t wanna be a single lady anymore,” His voice faltered and Jack became acutely aware of Bitty’s thighs around his hips. “I want a person. Everybody else has got a person.”

“With moves like that I don’t think you’ll have to wait long,” Jack said, supressing a chuckle.

“Mmhmm,” Bitty mumbled, fighting a losing war against sleep. Jack pushed open the door to Bitty’s room with his foot and ducked inside.

he was the cliché bad boy. he was the guy you couldn’t stand. he was the handsome, hot kid who made girls go weak in the knees. he was a brat. you had never liked him one bit, but you had also never gotten involved with anything concerning him. until one day, when you were in the wrong place, at the wrong time.

Rapunzel just became the first Disney Princess to do this, and it’s a big deal

You know how the Disney fairy tale goes: Boy meets girl, one of them happens to be royalty, there’s a bad guy to be fought, the hero wins, and everyone lives happily ever after — yay!

That’s been the norm since the very, very beginning of Disney Princesses. Each princess — whether in their “main” movie, or one of their straight-to-VHS movies — has always, eventually, gotten married to their respective prince*, and then lived happily ever after. Except for Rapunzel.

Rapunzel just became the first Disney princess to straight-up reject a marriage proposal.

Friday night, Disney Channel premiered their latest Disney Channel Original Movie, Tangled: Before Ever After. The movie set up the story for the new Disney Channel show, Tangled: The Series. The series is a sequel to the movie Tangled, but a prequel to the Tangled short, Tangled Ever After. GOT THAT? (Also, spoilers ahead for everything Tangled.)

So while, yes, we already know that somewhere down the road Rapunzel and Flynn Rider Eugene Fitzherbert get married and live happily ever after, it was not smooth sailing for them.

During Tangled: Before Ever After, Eugene decides he wants to propose to Rapunzel, and does so in front of the whole royal court. Instead of saying yes, Rapunzel says no.

TBH, didn’t realize Disney Princesses could say no to marriage proposals, because we’ve never seen it happen before. This is kinda a big deal. We’re used to seeing this when it comes to the end of Disney movies:

Disney

We’ve never seen a princess hightail it away from a suitor, just leaving him hanging there, diamond ring still in hand.

Disney Channel

Later on in the movie, Rapunzel (now with her magical hair again — it’s a long story) explains to Eugene that she is not ready to be tied down yet (!!), and he apologizes to her for putting her on the spot with the proposal in front of everyone (!!!).

“I don’t quite understand why you said no, but I promise to do everything I can until I do,” Eugene tells her. Honestly, this is groundbreaking because we have never seen a Disney Princess go through relationship troubles before. Disney Princesses are JUST LIKE US!

Disney Channel

It’s clear that Rapunzel and Flynn are not done, and are not breaking up. However, she just asks that they table the marriage proposal for the time being, and asks Eugene to “please…be patient with me.” (It is worth pointing out at this point that Rapunzel spent the first 18 years of her life locked up in a tower, and has only now just reentered the real world and is still getting used to everything. Girl still isn’t even wearing shoes. So yeah, rushing into a marriage is not the best idea ever.)

As Disney princesses continue to evolve and change over time, Rapunzel just became the latest one to break the mold we’re so used to. While she’s certainly got that ~fairy tale~ love, for her, it’s not coming easy. Relationships are hard work, and it’s not just riding away into the sunset in  a horse-drawn carriage with a man you just met.

Blondie, take as much time as you need to figure out what YOU want in life, and if marrying Eugene is part of it, then we’re so happy for you two. But if you’d much rather scale the city’s walls and run as far away as possible, that is perfectly fine, too. Go figure out what you want for your next new dream — no relationship pressure, whatsoever.

I have never seen anyone fanboy harder over anything than Hoechlin being presented with “THE jacket” to match my Stiles cosplay. (Literally matching Sterek jackets from the same line, if you look closely ;D) He thanked me too many times, sent messages through other people to thank me for letting me wear it to recreate those moments from Wolf’s Bane and said how much he loved “that Sterek scene”(!!! XD) He was so happy about the whole thing he kept cracking and smiling! Just such a great guy.

Can’t wait to see him later in the year. Doing all the Sterek cosplay with my cospartner Nem at HowlerCon, including something with Tyler. :D

What a dork. <3
