CAN WE JUST HAVE A MOMENT TO TRULY APPRECIATE JUMIN HAN.
This boy is precious. Not just when he’s in a romance, either. No matter how tsun-tsun he is about how he doesn’t really care it’s a stRAIGHT UP LIE.
He doles out paid bodyguards to every member of the RFA at the drop of a hat every time they’re in any kind of danger at all. He’ll send his drivers out for people if they need something and not even snark about it.
When Zen is self destructing and Jumin is hurt and angry with Zen’s behavior and insistence on a rivalry he’s not interested in, he still goes out of his way to protect and help Zen, shields his privacy, bends his rules, and even hunts Zen down to help him out of his funk.
He is protective of the MC even when he’s not in love with her, and asks her to call him at any time if she needs anything.
If you regularly call the characters because you have all the call cards… do you know who answers the most and at the most random times? It’s not your routemate. It’s not Zen who adores you regardless.
Call him at 3 in the morning. He’ll answer while he’s doing paperwork. Call him in the middle of the day and he’ll complain to you about the work he’s stuck doing. Call him when he’s gone away to his quiet place to get away from everyone else and all the noise, and he’ll still talk to you. HIT ON HIM LIKE THE THIRSTIEST GIRL IN THE WORLD and he’ll just politely brush it off and keep chatting with you.
He never says “I’m too busy to talk to you stop calling”, he’ll just do his business while talking to you between it. You don’t have to pry into his heart to befriend him, he’ll cheerily suggest you join him in teasing Zen when he barely knows you. He’ll also offer to let you meet Elizabeth when you’re practically perfect strangers.
This dude doesn’t know the MC on most routes. He has no reason to humor her about anything not to do with the RFA. He claims he doesn’t like chit-chat. He still answers her and entertains her.
He doesn’t approve of Yoosung’s behavior at all and is disappointed completely and yet he is earnestly willing to give Yoosung a job at his business as soon as Yoosung is out of college. Zen keeps rebuffing him coldly without explanation and yet he’s absolutely willing to prop Zen back up again and use all of his connections to help Zen reach stardom if Zen would just let him.
AND WHEN YOU’RE ON HIS ROUTE.
there’s almost no time he won’t answer the MC. Even when he won’t answer ANYONE he’ll almost always answer the MC’s calls. He’ll call just to hear her voice and admit to not knowing what to say. She practically only has to ask him to do something and he’ll relent immediately.
And while he’s paranoid in his route, keep in mind the MC is actually the safest of all routes. Because for all of his paranoia he’s literally actually protecting her from dangers all the other RFA fail to.
As dedicated as Zen is, as much as he professes endless love for the MC, as much as he says he cares more about his love than his career, there is no time in which he chooses the MC over his career. There is no timeline where he abandons acting so he can be with her. There’s not even a timeline where he refuses to hide her even though it will stall his acting career. Even in the good ending where he reveals her, he later signs a contract that says he needs to keep the MC on the downlow and not be seen with her in public. Again, even in the ending where the MC is emotionally and verbally abusive to him and he just bows his head and takes it because he needs to be with her, he is still acting. He hasn’t even quit acting with female leads that make her jealous!
Jumin, on the other hand, will literally just quit his ludicrously expensive job without the MC so much as whispering a suggestion of it. He just wants to be with the MC more, and he’s sick of his job interfering. And in the ending where he doesn’t do that, he announces her publicly, marries her publicly, and gets angry with his work when it forces him to be away from her too long.
He runs himself so ragged forcing and slamming through his work in time to get home for Valentines day that he practically collapses from exhaustion once he gets there.
Zen might make fun of him for being so sure that he’s dedicated to the MC more than anyone else…
He’ll give up Elizabeth for the MC if she asks. He’ll keep Elizabeth if the MC asks him to. When he’s out working, all he thinks about is the MC and everything he sees reminds him of the MC.
He will worry excessively over everyone in RFA, MC included, even when he’s not in love with her. He’ll tut and play father role for Yoosung and for MC (spamming the chat with “I don’t agree with two people living together unmarried” in Zen’s route), he’ll worry over Seven and support him even when he’s savagely smacking him down over Elizabeth.
He gives Yoosung a reward when Yoosung doesn’t expect one!!
He’ll just keep making jokes and stupid puns until someone (usually MC) laughs about it and have no shame
When he was 3 years old, he watched in amazement as the big truck pulled up to the curb of the suburban neighborhood he called home. With his nose pressed against the glass he watched two men step out of the truck and start unloading boxes onto the driveway. The simple action fascinated him for reasons he couldn’t explain.
The sun caught the exterior of the bright red minivan that pulled into the driveway, causing him to squint. He couldn’t believe his eyes when a girl hopped out of the backseat.
“Woah.” He mumbled against the glass, his hot breath causing it to fog up. Quickly wiping it away, he watched as she danced around the lawn while the rest of her family started moving boxes. Her pigtails bounced behind her as she ran around.
“Stiles? What are you doing?” His dad asked curiously. Before he could answer, his father noticed the moving truck and family moving in across the street.
“Wanna go say hi?” His father offered, placing a hand on the small boy’s shoulder. Nodding furiously, he smiled up at his father.
My interpretation of Hannibal and Will as Hades and Persephone, Alphonse Mucha style. Originally planned for the @hannibalcreative HannibalOdyssey event, but I’m way past deadline since this turned out to be a LOT more complicated/detailled than I’d originally planned.

She loved Joshua Hong.
When she was so graciously offered to live in her aunt’s vacation penthouse close to her university of choice, the only catch was that she had to pay some of the bills. Completely fair, because it was a kind enough gesture to give away a freshly furnished space to a niece you barely talked to. Luckily, there was enough room for another guest, enough to split the rent.
So in comes the savior of her life, brother from another mother, Joshua Hong, decked out in sandy beige Sperry’s and ironed white jeans. Fresh from South California, he wore their sunshine on his smile, and their attitude in his Cheshire eyes. He was attending the same university as well, and was conveniently looking for a means to stay. Needless to say, she pounced on him at orientation before he could ask anyone else.
I can’t believe nobody’s given a shout out to Père
Robert yet. I know it was an incredibly minor role but he was one of my favourite characters. He let Belle borrow his small collection of books because he knew the village didn’t approve of her reading and it was the only way she could access books. During the ‘Mob Song’ scene, he was basically the only person who didn’t flinch with fear when Belle revealed the Beast in the mirror. He very clearly wanted to stop the mob but couldn’t because, well it’s a mob, what can ya do?
An observation on Foster’s Home for Imaginary Friends.
Mrs. Foster did not give up her imaginary friend. That’s a thing established in the first episode. Frankie is also her granddaughter. So this means at some point a man fell in love with a young Mrs. Foster and had to ask her mother, father, and a giant talking rabbit for permission to marry her.
ALSO, elias didn’t tell sana “did you ask mom” he said “did you tell her”. i don’t think this was elias telling sana that she should get her parents’ approval. he specifically only mentioned his mom, his mom who, based on the fact that she suggested on monday that sana attends theme night about women’s role in islam, seems to care about the issues muslim women/women face nowadays. he told sana that his mother does care, because she also knows that sana might get hate because she’s on a russ bus. and it would be a good idea for her to talk about it with her mom, her mom who already lets her go to parties because she trusts her. as a woman who faces sexism just like sana does, and as a mother who genuinely cares about her daughter, she would be the best person to talk to about this. elias knows sana and their mom usually talk about these things, and so he’s telling her “i think you should tell her about this one thing”
Could you write an imagine where the reader is Bruce’s S/O and is constantly trying to get Damian’s approval but he refuses to let her in and then one night he overhears her talking to Bruce about how much it upsets her?
Bruce Wayne x Reader
You didn’t think you were a bad person. You were a well liked person, one of the many reasons Bruce loved you. He was infatuated with your personality, you always managed to bring a smile to his face. A relationship had blossomed between the two of you, it was perfect. But there was one big obstacle that had popped in the way recently , well not that big, actually it was very small, Damian Wayne.
He did not like you at all. You understood that you weren’t his mother, even though he wasn’t a big fan of his biological mother either. Damian was not comfortable with his father being in a relationship, even if you two had been together long before he had walked into the picture.
The rest of the boys adored you, especially Tim, you had a soft spot for him. Another reason why Damian wasn’t warming up to you. Jason always came to you to talk about his problems, you were like his mother, scratch that you were his mother just not biologically. Dick loved to annoy you but he acted like a baby when you were around, always searching for your attention.
But Damian, he did everything in his power to ignore you. You had tried talking to him about his interests, taking him out, playing video games with him, and you even went to all his award ceremonies at school since Bruce rarely went. You had tried desperately for him to like you, for him to accept you.
It had been putting you down lately, you wanted to make Damian a part of your family. You wanted him to like you and be comfortable around you. It didn’t take long for Bruce to notice your depressing behavior.
“What’s wrong?” You rolled over to face Bruce, “What do you mean?” Bruce pushed a few strands of your hair back, his eyes softening at your sad expression.
“I know you better than you know yourself, something’s bothering you.” You knew better than to lie to him, he would see through the lie in a second. He was a detective after all.
“Damian doesn’t like me.”
Outside the bedroom door a little someone halted their movements as they heard their name. Damian curiously put his ear to the door, wanting to know why his name was involved in a conversation.
“He doesn’t like you?” Bruce urged you to go on, “I’ve been trying to get him to warm up to me since he’s got here, but every time
I try to get closer to him he pushes me away. He can’t even stand to be in the same room as me.” You explained sadly, your eyes reddened at how hurt you felt.
Bruce began to console you but Damian, he felt horrible. No matter how much he wanted to hate you he couldn’t, you were too much of an amazing person for him to dislike you. You had tried countless times to get to know him and it secretly had warmed his heart that someone cared so much, the someone had so much interest in him. But he had been selfish and rude, he had instead lashed at you and ignored your attempts.
Damian was mad at himself for not giving you a chance, you had welcomed him into your household. The kid who was your husband’s son but nothing of yours. You didn’t know he even existed until that point, but instead of judging and hating him you tended to all his needs.
Damian knew he had to make it up to you, he could here your choked sobs from outside the door. He walked towards Tim’s room, something he would never do unless it was an emergency.
He knocked on the wooden door, “What?” Tim opened the door with a curious expression.
“I need your assistance, I’ve made a big mistake.”
Now I have always been a very big fan of unconventional art movements. Not only do I appreciate how those art movements have influenced what we see today, but the history that prompted them is rather revolutionary. Today, I want to appreciate the women who aren’t as well-known as the great Frida Kahlo. This post is more focused in the late 1910’s, to the 1930’s period. It is to honour some of the out-of-the-box women that I admire so much, from all sorts of movements. Here we go!
Helen Lundeberg (1908–1999)
Not just a formally taught and talented artist, but Lundeberg was actually one of the founders of what would be known as the Post-Surrealism art movement, later leaning to abstraction in the 1950’s. She was not only talented, but extremely intelligent, earning a place at Stanford University for “brilliant children.” Now while I said I would focus on the lesser-known artists, Lundeberg is a rather more famous one. However she is a tough one to leave out. She was especially famous during the 1930’s. She was in charge to create multiple murals, and her exhibitions (including her early solo exhibits) were very successful. It’s interesting to see her works evolve during her life, yet remain distinctly recognizable as hers.

Sophie Taeuber-Arp (1889-1943)
Certainly a woman ahead of her time, Sophie Taeuber-Arp’s artwork as a painter, sculptor, textile designer, furniture, interior designer, architect and dancer all scream “modern woman.” She studied different art forms, primarily textile art, formally in some areas. She was quite heavy in the Dada scene, yet her Constructivist works are probably her most recognizable. Her use of colours of her geometric forms are what draw the eye. Taeuber-Arp’s talent and hard work earned her a position teaching weaving and other textile arts at the Zürich Kunstgewerbeschule (Zürich University of the Arts). She was a woman that appreciated art in all its forms, and many appreciated the way she presented them. In fact, her flexibility and talent is appreciated today, as she is, in fact, the only woman on the current series of Swiss banknotes in Switzerland.

Marguerite Zorach (1887-1968)
Another intelligent artistic lady on the list, Marguerite Zorach became interested in art at a very young age. She, luckily, was blessed with very supportive parents that encouraged her to study everything related with liberal arts. People generally don’t get as unconventional as Zorach really was. Influenced by friends such as Picasso and Matisse, she is naturally recognized for her Fauvist work. Even her husband commented “I just couldn’t understand why such a nice girl would paint such wild pictures.” It may sound like he didn’t approve, but her husband (William Zorach) loved the way she stood out from a crowd. While she settled her “wild” painting side and became more focused on her family, she was titled president to the New York Society of Women Artists. Throughout her life Zorach experimented in all kinds of art media - even making clothes. You can certainly tell the different influences and evolution of her works. Because of this she received mixed criticism throughout her artistic years, yet her works are remembered today.

Pan Yuliang (1899-1977)
Truly a woman to differ from the mainstream (and possibly my favourite on this list). Pan Yuliang is considered China’s “first woman in the country to paint in the Western style.” Unlike many of the woman included in this list, Yuliang did not come from a family of prominence. Just at the age of 14, she was sold by her uncle to a brothel and forced into prostitution. In an amazing turn of events, however, she was noticed by a kind wealthy man who brought her freedom. Becoming his second wife and adopting his last name, he sponsored her education and allowed her artistic abilities to flourish. Because of her talent, fast learning, and hard work, she was accepted in not only the Shanghai Art School, but also numerous schools in Europe. This even included Italy’s Roman Royal Art Academy. Pan Yuliang wasn’t particularly loved by all in China, however. Her works caused some outrage in her home country, and she eventually settled in France, where her paintings were more appreciated.

Aleksandra Ekster (1882-1949)
Another abstract woman to appreciate, Russian painter Aleksandra Ekster uniquely used her skills for design purposes. Because of her extraordinary designs, she was required to work in numerous fabulous cities, from places in her home country of Russia, to the romantic Paris, France. Thanks to her prominent and wealthy family, Ekster was free to study art formally, later graduating from Kiev Art School. Her life was the ultimate art fantasy, as she organised meetings at her studio for Russia’s “intellectual elite.” This included artists, writers, and poets. While she never stuck with just one movement, but varied in many revolutionary avant-garde art movements of her time, her style is completely unique and consistent. She is known distinctly for her fashion designs, which were not only completely wearable, but also very memorable.

Damian one day decided to snoop around the library, he was bored and was grounded from patrolling due to him trying to escape the manor at night and getting caught.
He went to the back section, he rarely ever went this far. He pulled out a few books hopping for one to trigger open a secret passage way, much to Damian’s dismay a white letter fluttered out. Damian scrunched his eyebrows in confusion but quickly picked up the decaying letter, it had a slight yellow tinge but the letter seemed to have never been opened.
He ripped open the letter pulling out the paper inside.
‘Dear my beloved Bruce, I decided to run away from my family. They have always dictated my life and actions, but you taught me to think freely, to let go. They don’t approve of us and planned to send me away, but I will not let them do so. I thank you for teaching me this way of free thoughts, I will not tell you where I’m going but I do know one thing, we will meet again if we are meant to be. Love, Y/N’
Damian’s eyes widened after reading the letter, he quickly ran out the library note still in hand. He rushed to the living room where he heard the familiar voices of his bickering brothers.
“No Jason you just can’t-”
“GRAYSON!” Damian cut Dick off and quickly handed him the letter, the boys huddled around him reading over his shoulder.
“Who’s Y/N?” Tim asked snatching the letter out of Dick’s grasp.
“I have no idea, does Bruce just have a bunch of secret relationships and more spawns of his running around that we aren’t aware about?” Jason snatched the paper out of Tim’s hold while Damian glared at him.
“Y/N?” Alfred was eavesdropping on their conversation.
“Who is she?” Damian questioned the butler. “She was Bruce’s first girlfriend, his first everything. He was madly in love wit her but her parents didn’t approve of her dating a Wayne son, they wanted her to marry into another higher class family to seal some deals.” Alfred sat down on the couch over looking the letter.
“Master Bruce became devastated after her disappearance he never really loved ever again, I don’t think he ever got over her.”
“Do you know what this means?” Dick clapped his hands in excitement, “No, I don’t.” Jason said sarcastically.
“We need to find this Y/N person! To make Bruce have an actual Valentine.” Tim rolled his eyes, “We don’t even know anything else but her name.”
“Her name is Y/N Y/L/N, I wish you all luck.” Alfred walked out as the boys began to scheme.
“Are sure this is her?” Jason quirked his eyebrow, “Well she seemed elated when we mentioned Bruce, I’m hopping she is.” Tim answered as they waited for Bruce to come.
“Why are you all calling me? Did Damian stab Jason again?” Just as Bruce walked in asking questions the door was knocked. Dick ran over and opened the door revealing a mature women with a warm smile on her face.
“It’s been a long time Bruce.” She smirked as Bruce’s jaw dropped.
there so much beauty in that one line because 1) that’s literally sasuke’s way of acknowledging sakura’s strength- no, not just acknowledging but boosting her up and all of us & him knowing how capable naruto is, immediately believing in her (he always has), approving, and showing that he’s acknowledging how strong she is and far her skills have come 2) that teasing vibe of team 7 just seems so faintly reminiscent like they’re finally back as team 7 and that slight teasing is already back and there 3) sasuke the one teasing in all his seriousness 4) “us” exclusive to “me and sakura” 5) really the good old days feels 6) they’Re aLL on thE saMe leVEL back to back fInallY 7) sasuke has always been the one to believe in sakura’s skills since their genin days
