and fantastic at answering questions

TEW2 demo @TGS

So I just played the demo!

We got 40 minutes

It begins differently to the Bethesda twitch stream, you’re at Sebastian home with Lily and Myra and it all seems idyllic but Seb is sweating and you know something’s wrong. Then you got to the museum!!! And Stefano shows up!!! And we have to avoid him and see some of his exhibits. Then it transitions to the demo already shown online. The O Neal conversation is much longer. I ran around union trying not to die (seemed hard mode) and I did a light switch puzzle in an auto repair place which just seemed to release a hysteric(?)

Guys the game is gorgeous, Union is SO BIG Stefano is SO scary the sound design is fantastic the game is legit but it buy it!

Ill answer any questions so feel fee to message me!

So I have a question if you're willing to divulge the information (and it's perfectly understandable if you don't wish to!), but a friend and I were having a discussion about reptiles and we got talking about Iguanas and although we were both youngish at the time you would see them EVERYWHERE cheap and being panned as these great animals (to ME Iguanas are a reptile for masochists) but anyways, this lead to us realizing that Tegu are starting to become the new iguana.. 1/2

2/2 they’re starting to become readily available, cheap, and have a cool factor to them. So if possible -and any larger reptile owner feel free to add to this! Would you be willing to tell of what your weekly, monthly, and yearly expenses as well as anything else that popped up that you didn’t expect just to show people that it’s not just a cool looking animal but a potentially and certainly expensive reptile to own? I understand this can be a personal topic and understand not wanting to share.

OH MY GOD I FEEL THE SAME WAY tegus really do not need to become the new iguanas. This is a fantastic question and I’m thrilled to answer it.

SO. Weekly expenses… don’t really work out because a lot of purchases are made in bulk (food, etc.) every month or couple of months, but here’s a basic overview of how much things cost the first year I had her. Well. If I’d done things ideally- remember, I was foolish and tried to free roam her. HAD I done things appropriately with a cage, here’s how much it would have been. As it was, I did end up spending more than this trying to make free roaming work. Which most of the time it absolutely does not and I’m glad I stopped when I did.

Enclosure- I spent about 130ish on the grow tent and another 60ish bucks in materials to fix it up. That is absolutely the cheapest tegu setup you can make, and it’s not ideal for everyone- most enclosures you should plan for the 600+ dollar range. A PVC cage from a place like BeegerBoxes runs about a grand. I buy two 60 dollar lightbulbs a year, plus another 11 for her halogens and 10 for her CHE. The four dome lights cost me about 60 in total. The substrate I use costs 66 bucks every time the entire thing gets changed out. The swimming pool was about 25 and her water dish was I wanna say like… 20? Her big fake log was 35 and… ok I have no idea how much that footstool she stole is, but the crinkle tube was about 10 bucks.

Total initial setup cost: 527 (in nearly ALL cases it will be more, I just lucked out with the grow tent idea.)

Then there’s vet checks! I needed a carrier, and the one I liked best (has a harness clip, comfy fleece pad, and places for heat packs if necessary) ran me about 35. I spent about 80 a visit and she goes at least once a year.  But wait! She hurt her lip! Add another 200 in followup visits and medication! I keep a few hundred bucks in an emergency savings account for vet visits. That’s non-negotiable. I put that aside in the first year I had her- it’s sitting pretty at 400 plus interest.

By the end of the first few months, I’d spent about $832. Factoring in the savings account, that’s $1232. That’s not even including Juju OR the nonessentials. All the extra stuff? That cost more.

Then the food. I have some receipts for this- in the first year alone, Kaiju ate about 60 dollars’ worth of rats, about 100 dollars’ worth of reptilinks, and god only knows how much fruits, veggies, fish, and other stuff I could get at the grocery store. Let’s call the annual food bill 240? I might be lowballing that. So by the end of the first year, that puts her at like… $1492. Almost fifteen hundred dollars in the first year alone. Over twelve months, that works out to about $124 a month. Putting that in perspective: that’s about the cost of two additional Comcast bills. It’s like paying for two extra internet connections from a company that sees price gouging as a way of life. Can you afford two extra Comcast bills an entire month for a year? If no, then probably don’t get a tegu.

Now, that does peter down over the years- I don’t start from scratch every summer. But I do change out that bedding four times a year (or more if she doesn’t brumate), and I do buy two new MVBs every year- those are the 60 dollar lightbulbs. And she still eats probably about 300 dollars of food a year. She also gets an annual wellness visit. So that makes the minimum yearly cost about $764 (the ASPCA averages small dogs to be about $580 per year, to put that in perspective) and that’s again not counting extra stuff I buy to make her life more interesting. That’s about $64 a month… which is almost one additional Comcast bill. Can you afford an additional Comcast bill every month for the next 10+ years? Tegus are not cheap pets to maintain; to have a good quality of life, they need some seriously good care. There’s ways to do it cheaper, but if you’re impulse-buying a big reptile, you very likely do not have the know-how to do safely! You can certainly breed and grow much of your own food- that’ll help save money- but that also has initial startup costs, and requires the time and space that a lot of people just don’t have. I’m not saying they aren’t amazing pets- I mean, Juju’s the best thing to ever happen to me- but I am saying that they’re a commitment that shouldn’t be undertaken lightly.

And THEN there’s another monthly cost: Energy bills. Mine are included in my rent so I don’t actually know how much that is. So I can’t be much help there, unfortunately!  But that can get really expensive.

TL,DR: First year? Two extra Comcast bills per month. Rest of her life? One extra Comcast bill per month. If you can’t commit to that, then don’t get a tegu.

Gramander - 25. Who wears the other ones clothes?

Ahh, so I’m finally going to try my hand at writing these two! Thanks for reading!

There are so many things that Percival Graves loves about Newt Scamander, but one thing he loves in particular is when Newt decides to parade around in Graves’s clothes. It’s not always on purpose, there are a few times that Newt walks out the door in a shirt that he genuinely thought was his, until half way through his day he realizes that it is a few sizes too big for his shoulders…

It just so happens that this morning is one of those situations. Tina had come knocking at Graves’s door one early morning, where the sun was still rising and the birds were just starting to chirp.

How did Cas(s) know that the Colt was in the bunker? How did he know it would be in Dean's room? The Colt came back to the Winchesters after he had gone to heaven.

Good questions. All good questions.

And how did Cas know Dean would keep the colt under his pillow? As he insinuated he usually does?

I mean, it could be that Dean called and told him or that he honestly came back to talk to them as it is his home, hoping that they wouldn’t be too angry, because he hadn’t found a way to solve anything with the Angels so he came home and just happened to see the colt and decide that that was the best way forward.

Maybe he just happened to see the colt out of the corner of his eye as he totally platonically went to Dean’s room to return the totally platonic stereotypically romantically coded gift Dean had given him in a totally platonic “are we breaking up?” “no dude, I’m just pissed that you left me but we can get past it just please stop leaving” discussion and then totally platonically said “I’d like that” while Dean totally wasn’t overwhelmed by his bro and had to leave his own room and use a go-to coping mechanism because of it.

Then Dean totally platonically and no innuendo intended tells Sam that Cas come to his room and played him, that the colt was under his pillow while making a “I totally know how this is gonna sound but I’m gonna say it anyway” face, then pins Cas roughly to the wall while staring into his eyes and ignoring Sam so he has to shout his name TWICE, then defending Cas’ actions to Sam even though he was the one having a right go at the beginning of the episode (like 12x10 hmm) and, well, all the rest…

Yeah sorry I got sidetracked cos this is just one of a plethora of fantastic Destiel exposing scenes and moments in this season episode which really, are sometimes just there to give us this and with no real plot explanation or back up or relevance which honestly is even better for me as it means it is it’s own point that is purposefully made rather than a side - event to another plot point.

Like all of Dean’s pining and worrying for Cas, all of the ambiguously coded “I love you”, you are my human weakness, I am literally banned as an Angel from having a relationship with a human stuff this season - this often gives us no further information or plot points than the fact that Dean is pining and worrying for Cas and exposing his feelings. ( I mean, Lucifer is not bound by Heaven’s rules so it’s totally irrelevant to us to know that it is forbidden, but there IS an Angel it is NOT irrelevant to….)

It’s fantastic :)

Just wanted to say I'm proud of you guys for bringing the project this far. It's good to see so much love going into this story and I love the attention you guys give to the characters. Especially good to see where the heck sollux is. I wanted to also ask for any tips on starting a big project and staying dedicated to it. I get distracted easy by new ideas or feel overwhelmed by the immense size of some of the work I want to tackle.

Completely agreed. Sollux is freaking awesome.

As for advice with starting a large project like this, in my experience it helps to pick your friends wisely, and I mean that in every sense of the word. If you’re tackling a huge project like AO, you’ll need a team to back you up, and not just a team you work with to get the job done. You need a team that you can connect with on a more personal level, that you can trust; people that you genuinely like and want to be friends with; people who share the same common ideas and values as you. It’s a really important factor for staying motivated!

I’m not going to lie to you: this is really, really hard work, and you won’t be paid for it. In fact, it’ll probably EAT your money instead, what with the sheer amount of time it takes to piece this whole thing together. It will be the very definition of a labor of love: blood, sweat and tears, baby. And I’m just a side character in this cosmic super-opera: it’s Joyfulldreams, along with the art and script team that REALLY have to go through hell and back to deliver you all this awesome biznasty content. If none of us genuinely liked each other, this entire project would fall apart at the seams.

From a more personal standpoint, I also think it’s important to really have a good grasp on what it is you want to do. Vague abstractions and uncertain ideas are the death of any story: you have to plan, plan, plan, and those plans must be THOROUGH. Like, make contingencies for your idea’s ideas. Give yourself room to wiggle, but not so much that your overarching plot becomes too loosely defined. It’s a constant, thin tightrope to walk, but falling means giving up.

And most importantly? TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF. Don’t burn yourself out early on just because you want to rush all the idea’s out of your head. Take your time, and make sure that YOU are top priority: that you are happy and healthy and safe, because if you aren’t, both you and your work will suffer.

Anyway, that’s my two cents. Joy might add something later if she feels so inclined.

But like does anyone else think that Newt would have married a muggle had he not met Tina? It got me thinking when he made that comment about Americans not allowed to associate with No-Majs being “backwards” and “wildly absurd”. Because I’d like to think he would.

Heyy, I was wondering when having sweet cheat meals, is there a maximum of sugar you'd say would be okay so I wouldn't ruin my gains? Also, what is the best way to have a cheat meal? Pre/post workout, in the morning... :) Fantastic blog btw!!

To answer your question there is no “maximum” amount of sugar, but you should please yourself without having a food coma :).

With years of experience, I would highly recommend you to find the right balance in your nutrition plan.

Instead of having a restricting diet and craving for the next cheat meal, simply include things you like on a daily basis. Let’s say you love cookies. Instead of waiting for the next cheat meal to eat 20 cookies in a row. Why not simply include 1-2 cookies on a daily basis. Even better, why not take them before exercising so it will give you the energy to kill your workout.

Find what works for you best and stick to it!

Heya darling! That's probably a weird question and I hope you understand what I mean since englisch isn't my first language but anyway. So you know metamorphmaguse (i donno what the plural is) right? Do you know any other powers? Like in fantastic beasts Queenie can read others minds (legilimens) and yeah just other powers like those? I hope you understand and I rly love your blog by the way!

Hi Dear! I wanted to say that I understood exactly what you said, no worries!

Okay so as you know you have a:

  • Metamorphmagus- a witch or wizard who can change their appearance at will without a spell or potion (Like Nymphadora Tonks)
  • Legillimens- A Witch or wizard who can read thoughts (Like Queenie Goldstein)
  • Animagus- A Witch or Wizard who can morph him/herself into an animal at will (It’s learned rather than hereditary) ((Like James Potter))
  • Spell Resistance- It’s the ability to “shrug off” or protect oneself from the effects of a spell. Some Wizards or Witches have it naturally. (Like Harry Potter’s resistance to the Imperius Curse)
  • Parseltongue- A Witch or Wizard who has the ability to speak the language of the snakes. It’s mostly Hereditary, those who can speak it are direct descendants from Salazar Slytherin. (Like Lord Voldemort)
  • Seer- A Witch or Wizard who have the ability to see into the future with their inner eye. This is a really RARE gift. (Like Professor Trewlany)
  • Veela- A special form of Magic used by both Witches/Wizards and Humans with Veela heritage. It creates an entranced effect. (Like Fleur Delacour)

I’m quite sure I missed a few (or a lot who knows) but I really hoped this helped you and if you have any more questions I’ll be more than happy to answer them to the best of my ability! Much Love! xx

anonymous asked:

If you could choose five fanfic writers to be a part of the season 11 writing staff, who would you choose?

Wow…that’s a fantastic question. I have different answers because I think these writers all do different things very well, so allow me a little leeway in my explanation.

@aloysiavirgata, because she’s written some of Mulder and Scully’s snappiest dialogue, writes a damn good casefile, and gets the M/S dynamic like almost nobody else.

@syntax6, if we’re going to get any sort of traditional casefile that features a twist on profiler!Mulder, which I love.

@all-these-ghosts because if we go full-on post-colonization scenario for S11, I’d like it to look a lot like her fic Then The Bomb, which rocked my socks off.

Penumbra, because honestly, Penumbra’s Scully is one of my favorite iterations of that character. She’s written as such a complex, multifaceted creature, and her flaws are given nearly as much attention as her strengths, i.e. she’s allowed to be human, rather than Chris Carter’s untouchable feminine ideal.

Prufrock’s Love, because again, pre- or post-colonization similar to SN1572 or Dr. Scully’s School for Exceptional Boys would knock it out of the park for me.

Please feel free to add your own favorite fic writers to this allstar list. If we’re gonna daydream about the S11 writer’s room, let’s do it together.

helloimindelaware  asked:

What's your favourite Reylo FF?

Oh, it’s not fair to play favorites, is it? xD

Okay, so I absolutely ADORE @kylorenvevo‘s ‘The Sword of the Jedi’ series, which includes Like Young Gods and To Kingdom Come – read it RIGHT NOW if you haven’t yet! (just read everything she’s ever written, actually).

It will tear you apart (literally had to walk out of my graduation party for a bit after the end of LYG because ALL OF THE FEELS) and then put you back together again. Seriously <3

I also have a fanfic rec list (I need to update it again), which you can see here! I’ve read every single one of them, and they are all fantastic :3
