and even hard to use actions

anonymous asked:

So the Supernatural Facebook page just posted about 13x01 (watch the new ep on the CW app etc etc) with the caption “Actions speak louder than words.” I’m sick and on a lot of cold meds right now so maybe I’m not thinking hard enough, but I can’t think of what that would refer to if NOT Dean’s obvious love/grief for Cas in this episode, even if he never said “I love you” back last season. Thoughts?

Well, I mean… yeah. That’s definitely something it’s referring to. Dean prayed (using words) but then had to take matters into his own hands. I’m trying to think of any other application of “Actions speak louder than words” to the episode, and maybe I’m just tired, but I’m drawing a blank.

'Ghost in the Shell': 4 Japanese Actresses Dissect the Movie and Its Whitewashing Twist
THR invited the women to join a no-holds-barred conversation about cultural authenticity and why Japanese nationals fail to understand the race controversy: "People in Japan worship white people."

How did the movie compare with your expectations?

Traci Kato-Kiriyama: It was stunning visually, but emotionally it didn’t draw me in.

Keiko Agena: It was harder to watch than I thought it was gonna be. To get emotionally invested, you have to really care that she needs to find out who she is. But when she finally meets her mom, my gut felt so weird in that moment.

Kato-Kiriyama: That scene was devastating on all levels. It got me because of the emotion of the mother [veteran Japanese actress Kaori Momoi]. She’s really wonderful. That scene should have been beautiful, but Major had nothing in her eyes. Acting-wise, what a missed moment.

Atsuko Okatsuka: I wasn’t aware they were gonna explain the whitewashing. I thought it was just going to be an action film, no explanation, just go with the fact that it’s a future Japan with this robot cop. And then to be like, “Oh shit, I used to be a Japanese woman!” (Laughter) That was against my expectations.

How did you feel when that twist was revealed?

Agena: That was hard, y’all. Hard and awkward.

Ai Yoshihara: Major’s backstory is white people trying to justify the casting.

Okatsuka: And they f—ed up in the process because now it looks even worse. The text at the beginning of the movie explained that Hanka Robotics is making a being that’s the best of human and the best of robotics. For some reason, the best stuff they make happens to be white. Michael Pitt used to be Hideo.

Agena: That was the other cringe-worthy moment, when they called each other by their Japanese names. We’re looking at these beautiful white bodies saying these Japanese names, and it hurt my heart a little bit.

Kato-Kiriyama: It was supposed to be so touching and intimate, and it felt gross. And kind of laugh-worthy at the same time.

Okatsuka: I would have preferred them just using American names. “You used to be Bob.”

Today is special.

Why?

Because today is the 4th anniversary of a group of boys who started from the bottom and climb, and are still climbing as high as they can.

These boys are Bangtan Boys also known as BTS.

For me BTS is one of the most special groups to exist.

Because not many groups are willing to tell their stories.

BTS does not have to rely on buying song after song after song. After all, they have the freedom to produce, experiment, write and create the art they want to create. It is amazing to see a group of people who write in an industry where many companies opt out of letting their idols write and create and instead choose to mostly buy songs, giving their artists minimal freedom in many cases. BTS, however, does have that freedom and uses it to their full advantage.

Look at the solo songs or any of their solo work as an example.

Rap monster tackles society, Illness, pressures and so much more in his songs. He shows worry for the new generations and generations to come faced with injustice, anxiety and depression. He worries about his members and shows understanding and compassion. In fact, he uses lyrics as an expression of his inner struggle and philosophical thoughts and in turn opens conversations that are very much needed in society. He works hard to communicate with all the fans and in general, he works hard to communicate with people. He does not just show interest in his fans but in society as a whole.

Suga too wanted his voice to be heard. He said it himself, he was not content with just rapping. He wanted people to listen to what he has to say too. And definitely, Yoongi has a lot to say. At first, he seemed like such a closed person, but his mixtape gave everyone such an amazing insight into his mind. From the depression, to self hate, to allusions to suicide and social anxiety he bears his soul to all, in turn trying to help others realise that they are not the only ones going through a hard time. And if he continues to recover(because I believe that even if one gets better, some demons still remain and always have to be fought)  then hopefully so can we. And also, how can one not love a man who reveals a song called ‘first love’ only to reveal that his first love was his piano, when that is such a beautiful and sincere confession.

J-Hope’s mixtape is one I definitely cannot wait to hear. Because I feel like he is a member who also has a lot he wants to say without any constraints. Hoseok ’s song ‘mama’ just showed how amazing he is as a person. He had a solo song in the Wings album, like all the members and he chose t write a loving and sincere song thanking his mum for all that she has ever done for him. For how she loves and supports him in this difficult path. He seems to struggle with feeling like he is not good enough. As a member or son. I hope that’s not true. He also shows his emotion through his dance.

Not these three members show us the most of what they are feeling through writing and producing. However, the other 4 are also working hard on developing as writers, amazing sure to develop and also express themselves.

Taehyung showed his inner turmoils and  guilt over an unknown action or feeling in stigma as he apologise see to his brother and sister and even worked with Namjoon to produce a new song, showing a different side of him, as well as a different singing technique deciding to tell different stories with his voice and songs. Taehyung is also proving himself to be a very good actor, telling more than than just his story.

Jungkook, in my opinion, seems to struggle most with expressing himself. And I believe that that is normal. After all from a young age he has been a trainee with means that most things kids get to experience such as relationships, getting in trouble, love, sex and more this teen was not allowed to have. He was too busy being 'manufactured p’, as some may say, to be the perfect idol. However, since he grew up in the public eye for quite a long time we see how his story is his progress as he tries to gain confidence and express himself asking Namjoon for help with his songs 'Begin’ as well as by releasing amazing covers.

Jimin, like Hoseok shows his emotions through dance but also has shown us how he can communicate through his vocal colour and his emotional expression. He worked on 'LIE’ showed confusion, loss and heartbreak as he is 'caught in a lie’ and while we do not know the reason for these emotions we can appreciate them better and can relate them to us and our situations.

Lastly, Jin is the member, who I believed was the least able to express himself, not because he doesn’t want to but because he doesn’t have the opportunity to showcase his stories as much. However, his solo song 'Awake’ is a true gift. It tells the story of a boy, not a man but a boy, who comes to the heartbreaking belief that yes, he may never be able to reach the top like others but he will continue to work just as hard and give his all to be better and better and better. It shows his loyalty and passion and that is what I love about Jin. But I would really love to see Jin tell other, different stories through acting.

PSA: If you're looking to buy prints, posters, or merch and come across a site called TeeChip DON'T BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM, EVER

They steal artwork from artists without their permission and attempt to resell low quality crap of it, and trick people into buying it by stating “BEST SELLER, NOT AVAILABLE IN STORES, LIMITED TIME ONLY”

And hey, guess what? Someone messaged me earlier and I found out that this “company” is selling MY ART that I definitely did not give permission to use, sell, or distribute.

This “company” literally edited out my work from the original images, rotated a few, and slapped them all onto a poster.

Uh, NO. Not cool at all.

I have already filed a DMCA and hope to have it taken down within a day, but who knows if they’ll even do that seeing as their “DMCA form” is literally an email to “someone who takes care of these matters” 🙃

PLEASE don’t support shitty “companies” like TeeChip who steal the hard work of others! If you ever recognize artwork that you suspect is stolen on any site that sells artwork or merch, please let the original artist know if you’re able to! It’s always greatly appreciated when people let us know this kind of shit is happening and we can take actions to stop it

anan Performance Unit Interview Q1
  • Q: The good points and slightly worrisome points among members?
  • Dino: The8-hyung is too much of a perfectionist. When he matches clothes, everything needs to be considered, even when he's packing, he watches the mirror while muttering, "Does this combination look good?"
  • The8: I just want to bring everything, and end up bringing a bigger suitcase than everyone else.
  • Dino: But when everyone's gobbling up food with spoons, The8-hyung uses chopsticks and eats very little, no wonder he never gains weight, I'm a bit worried.
  • Jun: Dino, too. Sometimes you don't eat breakfast properly, right? If you don't eat properly, you won't grow big like me. (laughs)
  • Dino: I don't do that. I grew taller during "BOOMBOOM" era. When I stand with the other members, I no longer feel small.
  • Hoshi: When the group was first formed, he was still a kid. As for Jun, he's just handsome, open-minded and a peacemaker. The fact that he has no bad points is the most disappointing.
  • Jun: (trying very hard to hide his blushing shy face) Please give me a mask~!
  • The8: But he always likes to tell jokes, when he hypes himself up it's... Oh well, we're all used to it by now anyway. (laughs bitterly)
  • Jun: Every time I tell a joke I think, "Wow, my Korean's so good!"
  • The8: That's why you tell them?! This is the first time I'm hearing it. (laughs)
  • Jun: But aren't I right about this? (laughs) Dino thinks in detail about all his expressions and actions on stage. Even though he's so talented, he's still this hardworking, it's truly commendable! His slightly worrisome point was mentioned earlier, he doesn't eat breakfast.
  • The8: Hoshi is the member you should learn from the most, he's someone you can rely on. A lacking point is that, he's slightly short-tempered, when he gets worked up he talks really loudly.
  • Hoshi: When we're nearing the deadline for the choreography, I get anxious when I have no inspiration, so sometimes...
  • The8: Because he's very close with us, he is able to show us without any disguise, everyone understands.

Honestly I remember being little and learning about world hunger and stuff like that and just thinking “so why don’t we just go and give them our food?”

And albeit it is hard to get from one part of the world to another, the idea was never actually far fetched. I realized the only reason I was told “it’s not that easy” is because of money, and that’s how I learned that capitalism is shitty before I was even 5 years old. Whoever keeps the money from us is also stopping us from helping each other. It’s not hard to see that it’s a death sentence.

Direct action and mutual aid are in our nature, our only obstacle has been capitalism and even a child can see that.

hedgehogwithatank  asked:

What new vegas features do you miss the most in f4?

honestly? the writing. New Vegas had excellent writing, from the plot to the characters to just the dialogue options available to the courier. Having a voice is nice but with the limited dialogue you just can’t roleplay the same way you could in NV. Sole can only either be a bit of a dick, a totally nice guy or a smartass, while the courier can be anything from a complete moron, to an insufferable know-it-all, a smooth talker, a bit of a slut, a violent brute, a sarcastic douche, a by-the-book hero, a quiet badass and anything in between.

And while we’re on dialogue, I really miss the Skill Check dialogue system from NV. You either had the skill needed to get certain things (or just finish quests on an alternate path) or you didn’t, and it was always clear because you got a display that told you how high  of a skill you needed (like “Speech [25/30]). Most importantly, if you didn’t have the needed skill, the actual dialogue would change, giving a good reason why the NPC you were talking to would react differently than if you had said the right thing. Plus some of the failed dialogue checks were some of the funniest parts of the game.

In FO4, if you pass a speech check or not is determined entirely by chance. You can have a CHA stat of 10 and still fail. Then you reload, your character says the exact same thing in the exact same context to the same character at the same time AND NOW IT WORKS FOR SOME REASON. That’s annoying busywork and kind of breaks my immersion. They had the same thing in FO3 where your chance of  success in speech checks was given in percentages and I didn’t like it there either.

I also like that the courier’s backstory was kept relatively vague, so you could make up  your own story for your character. FO4 gives you a pre-baked background that is pretty lukewarm for my tastes and doesn’t leave much room to make up your own character interpretation (unless you do some hard retconning/headcanon action to get around that, but even then it’s not amazing).

But other than that, New Vegas generally just didn’t take itself as seriously as FO4. FO4 has all this big focus on how miserable everyone is and how shitty life in the wasteland is. There is so much drama with families being torn apart, everyone being afraid of the Institute, the Brotherhood stomping about the place, children dying of incurable diseases…it is all so dark and serious and miserable it gets exhausting after a while.

New Vegas has dark stuff too, with drug use, slavery, prostitution, bureaucratic fuckery costing lives, war crimes, lack of medical aid, lack of food and fresh water and power, economic inequality…i could go on. So it absolutely has serious and dark issues. I mean one of the companion characters mercy killed his pregnant wife to spare her the horrors of slavery for fuck’s sake.

But you know what it also has? Ghouls flying to the moon. A gang of grannies in pink dresses beating people to death with rolling pins. Cyberdogs. A big blue grandma who looks like hulk and wears a cute flower hat. A gang of elvis impersonators. at least two (2) robots who think they’re cowboys. People cosplaying ancient romans. A dude wearing a dog for a hat. A giant plastic dinosaur with a store inside that sells tiny plastic dinosaur souvenirs. A sexbot called “FISTO” that you can hire for yourself if you wish.

What I’m trying to say is, New Vegas had a lot of serious themes (I’d argue them being even portrayed better than in FO4 but that’s a matter of opinion). But at the same time it didn’t lose it’s sense of humor. This is a world where science can make people live 200 years, create super mutants by dipping people in green goo, and radiation is basically magic. It’s not super serious all the time or tragic. Might as well have some fun with it. Fallout has a long history of dark comedy after all.

FO4 kinda lost the humor aspect and maybe it’s personal preference, but I never liked media where everything is just sad and miserable all the time because you get kinda tired of it and desensitized after a while. I don’t hate it or anything, but it can never reach the same place in my heart fnv did ;-;

god sorry for the novel i could just talk about fnv all day

anonymous asked:

How do you keep everything so organized? What sort of study cycles/techniques do you use?

Hey! For the first question, here are some key details:

Room

A huge influence is how organized my room is, because if it is already messy, I really don’t care about cleaning it or organizing other stuff; it’s like bleh, what difference does it make?

So if I notice my life is getting too messy, I try to clean and organize everything I can in my room (because it’s my study space too) and try to keep it that way with each passing day because it makes me feel like I have everything together. Sometimes it can be hard, but a few small actions (like picking up dirty clothes or notebooks) help.

Planner

I have always loved and preached the use of planners (this year, in my case, it’s an already set up planner in which I incorporated the Bullet Journal system). However, I never really took all advantage of it.

Last month, I started taking it seriously. Nothing fancy; I only write down stuff like:

- ‘Goals’ for the day (like how much water I want to drink, brushing teeth, make bed, etc)

- Stuff forwarded (how do you even say this?) from the previous day, if any.

- Detailed steps/small actions that make a bigger task, etc.

Really simple, I just write the stuff down and try to do them all and mark them as done.

Note:

The key to getting things done with a planner or any to-do list is:

  • you only have to write down like 3 or 5 tasks, nothing overwhelming.
    • do not be ambiguous (’solve 3 problems from Matrix chapter’ is better than just saying ‘study’)
    • try to sort them, most important tasks first
  • you pick the first thing in the list, start working on it
    • do not work on other tasks
  • Finished that task? Start working on the second one. Keep going.
  • If something you hadn’t planned comes up, deal with it and move on, keep working on your tasks.
  • If you do all of them and still have energy/motivation, do something else, create a new list, whatever
    • you don’t have to be productive all the time.

Categories

I try to sort everything into categories, so I know where everything belongs. Everything has a place, so when something is used, I have to know where to put it back before things get too messy.

Now to the second question.

How I study:

What I normally try to do is:

  • Solve past exams and as many practice problems as I can.
    • Last semester, a TA told us that practice guides are not meant to be completed; make sure you know how to do the easy ones and start with the complicated ones, they’re usually a combination of the simple stuff.
  • Take notes on class and explain what I did on a problem (even ‘multiplied by x and added y…’) so I don’t get confused if I ever try to study from an exercise.
    • Since I’m an engineering student, my classes are basically all math-related stuff, but this counts with basically every subject: annotate.
  • DO READINGS. Try to know what comes in next class, how and why some stuff works, etc.
  • Ask, ask, ask, ask. Any doubt will only grow and drive students to despair when the final comes.
  • DO HOMEWORK.

Some things I have learned

There was a time when I was not ever sure if I was going to pass my classes, and I learned a few lessons:

  • Most teachers do help. That’s how I noticed doing all the homework was actually worth it, even the smallest one. They don’t really care about the contents, some of them just want to see you take their classes seriously.
    • If a student who did poorly on exams but turned all the homework in, is struggling, teachers will probably come to the rescue.
  • Some people are not really friend material. They can drag you down and distract you from your priorities.
    • Be yourself. If something matters to you, go for it. Likewise, if grades are not really important to these people, you don’t have to follow them.
  • Free time of others does not mean your own free time. Know what is best for you.
    • This does not mean ‘BREAKS NOT ALLOWED HERE’. Take care of yourself.
  • Sometimes, even though I felt like I studied pretty hard for something, I would just get back a really disappointing grade. Am I worth anything less? Nah, next time it will be.
  • There is always room for improvement.
  • My best grades always came from studying like a week in advance or revising periodically.

I hope this helps (and sorry for the late reply). Good luck!

helping your bpd pals

if you’re reading this post you’re already off to a wonderful start with helping your borderline friends! it can be hard for us to admit we need specialized attention, and you going out of your way to learn how to help us is amazing. here are some simple things you can do for us (and the reasoning behind them)

•enthusiasm! borderlines have very black & white thinking, meaning if we aren’t positive you’re happy with us we will assume you are angry. really simple things like exclamation points and smiles can go a long way!

•let us know when you’re going to be hard to reach! this one is pretty self explanatory, and if you’ve read any other post of this sort i’m sure you’ve seen this, but it’s important! we are terribly scared of you abandoning us so let us know that you aren’t and that you’re just busy. (we’re kinda like those dogs that freak out and destroy the house when their owner leaves because they think they’ve been abandoned)

•reassurance! we will rarely come out and ask for this one out of fear of being labeled a “manipulative borderline,,” but if you take anything from this post it’s that your bpd friends need to be reassured that you care about us as much as possible. we usually lack emotional permanance which makes it hard for us to believe you still love us, even if you told us a few days- or hours- before.

•don’t get angry over our impulsive behavior! if we aren’t getting the attention that we’re desperate for, us borderlines will most likely do an “attention seeking” and often self destructive action in order to gain attention. you should definetly express your concerns and etc. over the behavior, but please don’t act angry. that will often lead to more impulsive thoughts on our part

•don’t show annoyance over us apologizing a lot! we constantly feel like a burden since we can’t handle things “"normally”“ this will lead us to apologize constantly (and apologize for apologizing) please just tell us it’s alright or that we don’t need to worry about it.

•if we start acting cold, don’t stress about it! this one is more for the friends or fps of us borderlines. a lot of us do what is called “splitting” where we will swap from idolizing you to hating you very abruptly. it is completely temporary!! we still love you!!

•compliment our appearance! complimenting our personalities can be tricky, since we have such a hard time thinking for ourselves. a lot of people with bpd are obsessed with their appearance and changing it, so compliment us occasionally!

•random affection! people with bpd are usually so worried that they are manipulating affection out of people. you telling us sweet or reassuring things without us initiating it is appreciated beyond belief. keep in mind we frequently don’t know how to react to things, but i promise we will be so happy.

disclaimers:
~i don’t speak for the entire bpd community!! you should ask your borderline pal if these things apply to them if you aren’t sure.
~i’m not trying to tell you that we need a certain high level of attention or nothing, we know that you have problems to deal with too. just knowing you care and recognize our illness enough to read this post is amazing and relieving.

tylerl_hoechlinThe last few days have been some of the saddest, and most shameful days that I’ve ever witnessed in this country in my lifetime. They’ve also been some of the bravest and proudest. Witnessing the actions and hearing the words of the people who have spoken up and out against the hate and intolerance that some in this country still display, preach, and harbor.
These repulsive groups, the KKK, neo-nazis, white supremacists, teach hate, and spout rhetoric that is beyond closed and small minded. It’s nauseating. My parents always taught us to love and respect every person the same. So clearly, that it is hard to even comprehend that someone could feel this much hate and intolerance for another human being. But this is sadly all too clear.

If anyone has not seen the VICE News ( @vicenews ) story about Charlottesville, I urge you to watch it. It brought me to tears to see so graphically and openly this demonstration of hatred. But we must have our eyes open and we must acknowledge what is happening if we are ever going to hope to one day truly overcome this most horrific of diseases, this racism that still lives on. Many have said this, and I’m only going to echo it, hate is taught, and it has to stop.

To Heather Heyer’s family, friends, and loved ones, I offer my sincerest condolences. To say the words spoken by Heather’s mother at the memorial were brave and inspiring, would be a severe understatement.

Let us manifest peace, and spread love.

anonymous asked:

if not gun control, then what do you think would help with the situation in the us right now? im genuinely wondering just cause it feels so hopeless lately

You mean about gun violence? I think a large part of the problem is not even information about safe gun handling or respect for firearms or even necessarily access to firearms, but a uniquely American culture centered on and accepting of violence as a normal thing. I think Americans are just uniquely violent, period.

So the answer is functionally cultural revolution, frankly. A culture where violence isn’t seen as a normal occurance or inevitability. A culture where domestic violence and other forms of male violence are actively challenged and socially, not just legally, punished, but wherein a man can’t just be a rapist and have a normal career. Things like that are crucial. These are the kinds of things I’d like to see mandated as cultural programs under socialism.

I also think it is very recent that we’ve had a “gun violence” issue in the way that we think of it now, and it relates to the American upstate constsntly being at war such that warfare has permeated the public mindset (popularity of camo, war video games that I myself love playing, American cultural focus on warfare in film, etc) that of course a violent culture and a violent state lead to violence being seen as a general, neutral fact of life. Because for all of my life it HAS been, though it doesn’t need to be. And I also think there is something uniquely post 9/11 about the use of violence specifically as a means to a political end thay has permeated American gun violence as it relates to mass shootings- shoot up a planned parenthood, murder an abortion provider or threaten to, murder a bunch of gay people to instill fear in them, murder a bunch of random women to show that they can and it is their fault for not fucking you, etc. That there is a particular profile for these things I’d never brought up- there’s a male violence problem, and specifically a white male violence problem, that leads to the kinds of events that make headlines. These events are very new- aside from the Oklahomo City bombing, it’s hard to think of a list of similarly political attacks before very recent years. And there have been millions of guns here for a long time. So SOMETHING changed and I think that is largely cultural.

But those kinds of shooting make up a tiny fraction of gun deaths per year, frankly. Most is interpersonal violence, gang violence or otherwise criminal violence, and suicides. All of that can be addressed at the cultural level but not until you acknowledge it.

To be clear, it’s not that I oppose all gun control measures but it’s obvious that people who want blanket “gun control” have few policies in mind that would work. Background checks are already implemented and can’t possibly catch everything. Safe gun storage would prevent several accidental deaths per year, and I agree any house with a child or someone who shouldn’t use firearms should hsve a secure safe, but that’s a tiny portion of gun deaths per year. What do you want to do about the close to 400 million guns already in the country? You can’t track them all down. Even if you could, confiscation would start a civil war. Ban “high” capacity magazine? There are already thousands, almost definitely tens of millions, in circulation. Automatic weapons are already banned. Banning semi autos is both absurd and useless when criminals are not going to have a hard time finding one of the many millions already in existence. So I get 10 rounds in a bolt action to defend myself against someone coming into my house with 30 rounds semi auto? What sense does that make? You see that many places IN THE US with strict gun laws have high gun crime rates. You think Chicago gang members have their firearms ID like I do? Or paid the hundreds of dollars it takes to get a carry license like I did? They’re just already too available for you to implement controls that would actually affect people who shouldn’t have guns and already have them.

You can control all you want moving forward but with more than a gun for every single person in the country, I think we might just sort of be past the point of no return and that nothing but lasting cultural change will make that big of a difference.

  • self-sacrifice

  • escapism and addictions
  • self-undoing
  • karma
  • hidden enemies
  • betrayal
  • grief
  • unwilling (most of the time) restrictions, whether physical or mental
  • coping mechanisms
  • loneliness

Given it’s themes it is naturally as hard to grasp as magnetic.

Everything in this house is hidden from us but still there somewhow. Like a tv left on mute; you still know it’s there even if you can’t hear it.

It shows things that happened or were felt before we were even born, just before the first house (who we are, how we came to this world).

Where we feel unable to keep going so we run. What we are willing to sacrifice for others and the greater good. Things we push to the back of our minds until we explode, ending up as surprised about it as those around us.

Things that don’t even feel real.

But it isn’t necesarilly bad at all. In order to advance we must pay and overcome our karmic debts. And once it’s done, it gives incredible power, planets in the twelfth house are tainted with unique traits, no other house could give after all.

Twelfth house planets feel lonely and isolated from the outer world, but if mastered they are energies we don’t even have to express for others to notice them, they blend with the mind in an exquisite way, giving this house dreamy nature a direction and use.

For this we must find our sixth house energy.

Planets

**You can use the planet’s ruling signs if you don’t have any in the twelfth house but take into account that the effect will be obviously less powerful.

Sun (Leo): creates a selfless and dreamy personality with strong instincts. There’s a constant search for who they are, tiny pieces of their personality slip through their daily life and dreams, but they feel as if the left just as quickly. Their giving nature can often become martyrdom used to fill that idealized idea they can have of themselves, feeling like some sort of “saint” or saviour. At their best they can become wise and at peace with life, teaching others to give more to others. They dream to shine and be recognized.

Moon (Cancer): there’s a powerful need to escape and be alone for a while. They can be easily drained because of their absorbing emotional nature, creating a need to be alone in order to recharge. Can feel abandoned by their mother and somehow helpless when it comes to how they feel. Emotions can be often misunderstood and this people can even ignore them to the point they explode (usually with no one around), suddenly realizing what they were feeling. Dreams of taking care of others and being taken care of.

Mercury (Gemini/Virgo): inner restlessness affects the native, they can feel they lack intelligence and get lost in their heads, which makes them immensely creative. Can have trouble with thinking process and expressing themselves verbally. They’re the type of people that think with their hearts even though they try to hide it. Dreams to share their thoughts.

Mars (Aries): unable to actively express their doubts and fears. Selflessly protects the helpless and is a fighter at it’s core. Prone to self victimization and bottling up anger due to fear of losing control and hurting others in the process. There’s an inner restlessness and desire for action and excitement but energy seems lost to them. A past of physical abuse can be common. Dreams to become a hero.

Venus (Taurus/Libra): it’s one of the most beautiful placements for the twelfth house, it creates a beautiful subconscious and when this people love, they do it with all their heart, they are willing to die for those they love and preserve that dreamy and sensitive quality only the twelfth house can give. Dreams to be loved and to love. Must be careful not to become dependent.

Jupiter (Sagittarius): there’s reluctance to expand in the physical plane, but infinite opportunities to grow spiritually. Optimism feels out of reach as well as beliefs. Is willing to sacrifice for what they believe in. Dreams to become some sort of teacher and accumulate wisdom. Meditation would be ideal for people with this placement. They are the type of people that like to do good for others behind the curtains.

Saturn (Capricorn): they may feel trapped somehow, there´s a sensation of hardship in their lives, as well as unexpected betrayal from others. The father figure may have been absent or involved in some kind of addiction. Structure is blurry in their lives and they may feel as if things are bound to fall apart at some point. Dreams of success, even though dreaming and imagining can be difficult for them.

Uranus (Aquarius): revolutionary desires are supressed or not even considered to exist in their psyche. Erratic actions and detachment can be used as a way of self destruction, but once mastered this people are willing to sacrifice for their freedom and the well being of others Just like with mercury there may be inner restlessness and eccentric dreams that are hard to find a meaning to. Dreams of change. Prone to feeling trapped.

Neptune (Pisces): this natives have great sensibility and compassion which can lead them to addictions in order to escape, so they must be extremely careful with how they deal with everything. Reality does not cage them, gifting them with immense intuition and creativity. Dreams can be prophetic or somehow psychic.

Pluto (Scorpio): grudges are swallowed and kept in the subconscious. There’s a lot of darkness within. that can be used either to heal or destroy. Infinitely complex subconscious. Need to explore the darkest side of their psyches, but reluctance to do it. This people keep many secrets and can be very unstable. There could be a past of psychological abuse. Dreams of power and transformation.

Polish doctor that refused to perform abortion named a “hero”

Dr Bogdan Chazan was visited by an expecting mother (32 weeks into pregnancy), who already had 5 miscarriages before and was worried about her health. It turned out that the fetus had hydrocephalus, undeveloped brain and was missing many bones from its skull. The Doctor refused to perform an abortion and didn’t send the woman to another hospital which could do so (according to polish law, if a doctor doesn’t want to perform an abortion, he has to choose another hospital which will agree to do so). Chazan was named a “local hero” and “true warrior of Jesus in the name of life of the unborn” by many polish politicians and catholic activists. He used conscience clause as an excuse for his actions.

The woman gave birth to the child through a C-section. She and her husband spent 10 painful days watching their deformed child die a horrible death. When she finally decided to speak out, she said:

During these 10 days, no priest, no pro life activist or even dr Chazan came to see the child, to ask if they can help. It was really hard to look at our child. We knew what was coming, but it was still very hard to cope with

Congratulations, pro-lifers - another “life” saved, another “happy” child and “happy” family.

The speech

“Dear Sana, this speech is for you. And you’re getting it because what you’re inviting us to today, overthrows American presidents tomorrow. We live in a chaotic world where it’s difficult to understand the rules. Because why are some people poor and other people rich? Why do some people have to be refugees, while others are safe? Why are some people spit on on the street? And why is it that sometimes, even though you try to do something good, it’s still met with hate? It’s not weird that people give up. That they stop believing in the good. But thank you so much for not giving up, Sana. Because even though it sometimes feels like it, no one’s ever alone. Each and every one of us is a part of the big chaos. And what you do today, has an effect tomorrow. It can be hard to say, exactly what kind of effect. And you usually can’t see how everything fits together. But the effects of your actions, are always there, somewhere in the chaos. In a hundred years, we may have machines that can predict the effect of every action, but until then, we can trust this:

Fear spreads. But fortunately, love does too.”

Imagine...

Telling the squad that you love them for the first time. {part one}

Note - We know we have a lot of “part ones” but we’re getting to the other parts! Sugary and I finish each other’s parts, like a team. Plus we live in different time zones so it’s kind of hard. We’ll hop to it soon! <3
