and convincing her to be damian

Jason's Girlfriend

Requests: jason finding out his gf is really sick and he tries to make her comfortable till she passes away and he steals her flowers and things all the time and she thinks he’s the most wonderful guy ever for getting her these things but she doesn’t know what he’s going through and eventually she gets too weak to move and she dies right before jason comes to say his final goodbye and he doesn’t show up at her funeral but after everyone leaves he brings her favorite flowers and breaks down crying

jason talks about his girlfriend all the time and how beautiful she is and how much he’s in love with her and she’s the best thing that ever happened to him but he won’t let anyone meet her and his family starts to think she’s fake until damian and stephanie follow him one night and see he’s placing roses on a recent grave and telling it how much he loves them and will never forget them

“Guess who’s here?!” The nurse’s face was decorated with an enormous smile as she talked, something you’d never understand. It was as if everyone pitied you these days. That or they were mocking you. With their smiles and kind behaviors that could only signal your end was nearing. The only one who never smiled was

“Jason” you said in a quiet voice and blinked your eyes at him. It was a giggle that you felt bubbling in your throat as you saw his face covered by a flower bouquet

“Hey!” He greeted softly from behind of the fresh bouquet he had bought. Your nurse took care of lifting your pillows as well as your torso, so you were in a more comfortable position.

Jason sat on the chair right next to your bed with a sigh. After handing the flowers to the kind nurse he took your right hand in between his palms. You were cold, colder than he remembered and it killed him.

“Baby, did you tell your brothers that I want to meet them?”

Again Jason sighed. It wasn’t easy to say this but he did talk about you all the time, but he didn’t want any of them to meet you. He just wanted you all to himself. He didn’t want to having to share the pain if losing you with them, because they would never be able to sympathize with him. None of them had seen the love of their life in a deathbed, getting colder and colder with every passing day.

“We’ve talked about this (Y/n).” Jason’s voice was cold, colder than he had intended it to be and momentarily he hated himself for snapping.

“Okay” there was no reaction from your side, only a weak smile as your hand tightened in his grip. Jason stood silent for a while, remembering what the nurse had told him

“she doesn’t have many days left. Itd be better if we stopped pressuring her with visits. ”

And she was right. So many people would visit you, not caring if it tired you and Jason wondered if they could understand that you could barely move anymore.

Jason felt tears well up in his eyes as he stared at you, knowing that this was probably the last time he’d see your smile. He bowed his head, resting it on your shoulder amd breathed in your scent. You didn’t know what he was going through. You didnt know in how much pain he was.

For more than a year now Jason has been talking to them about a girlfriend, but a girlfriend was nowhere to bee seen. And currently, Dick and Bruce were very worried. They were desperately trying to solve the girlfriend mystery, but Tim insisted on believe Jason and giving him privacy.

Nevertheless it’d been a very long time now that Jason hadn’t showed up anywhere. He wouldn’t go on patrol, he wouldn’t show up at the manor and when they’d get to communicate with him he’d only say about his girlfriend and how truly beautiful she is.

This of course made Dick even more suspicious and after dinner major pressure by the other members of the family he set Damian and Stephanie to follow Jason to his so called girlfriend.

“I’m telling you, the grave was very recent.” Damian yelled, wanting to convince Dick.

“He even placed red roses on it. And he was crying, so hard it broke my heart. He was apologizing for not being able to help her” Stephanie added, emphasizing the ‘red’ part. “Jason’s going through something so tragic Dick, we gotta help him”

But Dick I’ve that Jason wouldn’t speak. He’d never admit being so hurt, or that his word was crushing down due to his denial. All he had to do was wait until he’d open up about it.

Like honestly I’ve been reading a lot of batfam fics recently and I always get sad when Kate Kane and Terry aren’t in them. BB was my fave series and I just!!

I want a fic where the Justice League (or Young Justice, maybe all of them together) decide to have a cookout because they’re fun and everyone deserves a break once in a while

They meet Batman’s family, and are like “Bruce when did you have time to adopt so many kids” because like

Dick is casually walking on his hands and Jason is slowly getting more annoyed that he can’t stay up as long as Dick can, and Damian and Tim are just at each other’s throats because “for the last time Damian, I am not going to send Aquaman into the Phantom Zone because 1) I physically cannot do that and 2) just because he talks to fish doesn’t make him the harbinger of the apocalypse”

Steph and Barbara are casually filming the entire thing and Alfred just makes sure nothing gets broken

And Duke and Harper have fun pranking everyone and Cassandra makes sure everyone is having fun in that eerily quiet way of hers (”Bruce Cassandra just smashed a hotdog onto my plate” “Just eat it Diana” “Bruce i’m vegetarian” “Well that’s your own fault indulge my daughter”)

Kate Kane is there an totally strikes up a conversation with Wonder Woman and she’s just the Cool Wine Aunt who tries to help Jason pick up girls and generally helping her nieces and nephews with pranks (”Kate I thought I said you could not give Damian a grappling hook for his birthday” “Why not? He loves it!” “Because he used it to swipe food off the dinner table and Jason convinced Dick that he could use it to reenact Sia’s Chandelier” “Ooh I wish I could have seen that” “I got him to do Wrecking Ball and the chandelier fell wanna see the video?” “Not helping, Jason.”)

And the Young Justice team thinks it’s so cool that Dick and Tim have all these siblings who fight crime too and try to rope them into joining until Jason is just like “Listen I died last time we went on patrol” “Jason you ripped your pants on a fence trying to one-up Damian in parkour skills” “Shut up Dick I’ll replace you with BatCow on the next patrol”

And suddenly the pictures are being passed around and everyone is cooing over how cute Damian was or puzzled over why there’s a selfie of Stephanie and Tim when Dick is in the background trying to keep a set of curtains from completely catching fire and yelling at Jason, until suddenly, they come to a photo of Batman Beyond

Green Arrow asks who it is and Batman answers with the most serious face:

“That’s my half-clone and biological son Terry. He pops in from the future from time to time.”

And then they actually get the chance to meet Terry somehow and everyone is baffled because they all thought Damian was the only biological kid Bruce had, but here’s Terry just lounging in the living room wearing his Beyond suit and complaining about the Bachelor while eating ice cream straight out of the carton because “This is entertainment?? Come on, we all know Vanessa can do better than Sean, he’s not even cute!” and just generally being confused about this timeline and saying how everything is “So Schway” and of course the brothers retaliate with “Oh my god, Terry stop trying to make schway happen, it’s not gonna happen”

It’s all just a chaotic confusing mess and Wally couldn’t be happier because he thought his family was a mess, what with all the time paradoxes and time traveling and just being very bad at not running into your other family member with super speed

In my fanon canon (the canon of my fanon) I believe Helena Wayne would be the last child and Bruce would have met his MATCH in stubbornness.
Why do I say this? Well, it may have something to do with three year old Helena staging a protest against naps. She disagrees with them, and thus performs a sit-in.
Bruce tries to convince her to stick with routine…until Selina joins the sit-in.
“What? I was born a rebel. Here, baby, I made a sign. Stick it to the man!”
“Thank you, mommy!”
The older siblings would eventually get home and join the protest, all sitting in the hallway outside her bedroom. Tim makes up chants and rallying cries. Barbara pretends to be a news anchor interviewing Helena for ‘Newz 4 Tots.’ Dick insists on an autograph and Helena draws a butterfly on the back of a receipt. Damian pretends to be a lawyer and 'argues’ with Bruce, shouting “The U.S. Constitution!” each and every time Bruce asks “Who said you could do this?” Jason insists on a speech from their fearless leader, and Cassandra sets up all the stuffed animals to be Helena’s audience.
There’s a roar of applause when Bruce relents and they all shake the toddler’s hand in congratulations. Helena and the pets parade around the house in victory.
Besides being a fun day, Helena has won the right to refuse naps and grows up to be a lawyer.

Tbh all I can think about right now is Bruce and Clark taking the boys out for a picnic near the Kent farm so they have a chance to get some of their energy out but with Supervision™ this time (pun intended). And as Clark and Bruce catch up and chat amicably they watch their boys run around the fields endlessly, and play with the dogs, and Damian convinces the cow to let him ride her. When they start getting a mischevious look about them, their dad’s are thinking it’s a good time to intervene, because last time this happened Damian ended up in the tiger enclosure at the zoo, and Jon got locked in the vet tech room. But it’s all just good. Life is good. The sun is warm, the boys are happy. Just being kids. Clark and Bruce are in a place they’d never thought they’d be: two old fathers of young sons but it’s such a joy, such a privilege to watch them laugh and play.

But Bruce calls to Damian, it’s time to go. The boys pout, but come when their fathers call them. They drag their feet, moving as slowly as possible. Bruce sighs in exasperation, but there’s no real feeling behind it. His heart is too full, too warm just seeing his son with a real friend, a true friend he doesn’t have to pretend around. Kind of like Clark has been for him.

The boys finally make it to them…. And good Lord, do they stink to high heaven. Two smelly, sweaty kids with bright eyes and hair sticking up and matching grins, their fathers can’t find it in them to mind the smell.

But it’s definitely bath night.

anonymous asked:

How do you think Dmian would react to finding he had a twin sister? Like Talia hid her as a back up plan incase Damian refused to go through with Talials original plans, being an heir to the league.

- Of course it would be a huge shock but at the same time he’s not all that surprised.

- If she’s still with the League he’d probably try his hardest to convince her to leave and start a new life, a better life, in Gotham with their father.

- She’s reluctant at first. She’d probably see Damian as her enemy for a while, thinking that he could easily usurp her claim to the League.

- It’s not until their mother give her the order to take Damian out that she hesitates. Damian had never actually fought back against his sister and their mother’s willingness to encourage one child to kill another really gave the sister pause.

- What’s to say that she won’t ever meet the same fate? How many spares does Mother have and what’s to stop her from replacing the sister if she were to make a mistake or step out of line?

- In the end the sister lays down her sword and refuses to kill her twin brother.

- As you can imagine Talia isn’t too happy about this. Two of her children have now betrayed her and she is livid.

- Bruce arrives in the knick of time after realizing that Damian had disappeared without warning. He was surprised to realize that he had a daughter but he pushed that aside for the moment so that he could get his kids home.

- It was odd for her to settle into the manor and give up all of her old ways but she eventually found her own place and happiness in Gotham with her true family.

Bruce is one of those dads who can multitask so good that it annoys you.
In the middle of putting a sock bun in Stephanie’s hair, Tim’s trying to sneak in through the freaking window, trying to pretend he was there the whole time but, no, dad Bruce doesn’t even look up, just calmly asks where he was, then tells him he’s grounded when he doesn’t get a straight answer.
While giving Barbara a French Braid, Dick decided to be an idiot and almost break a vase, he throws two knifes right below it, they catch it and almost pierce Dick while they do.
He gives Cass a Waterfall Braid while he orders that dress she wanted online, smirking all the while.
He talks to Duke about how galas go overall while he tries his best to makes Harper’s hair wavy.
The entirety of combing Damian’s hair, Tim’s trying to convince him why he shouldn’t be grounded, Tim stops almost every 3 minutes to ask him if he’s listening, he is, he just doesn’t care.
He puts the turkey in the oven for Alfred (he doesn’t get to set the timer or season it, just put it in) and the household is way too quiet. He goes outside, catches Damian before he falls into a puddle, grabs Jason’s ear and yells for everyone to come in.
He redoes everyone’s hair, two at a time while listening to excuses.
He struggles to get Jason into his suit. Jason really doesn’t want to come. It’s a miracle he could convince him into the suit, let alone into the car.
He drives while simultaneously convincing Damian to take a quick nap, yelling at Jason to chill, reciting his lines, telling Tim to cheer up and “DICK DO NOT OPEN THE ROOF OR I WILL PUSH YOU OUT. STEPHANIE IF YOU HELP HIM YOU CAN WALK TOO.”
During the gala he makes sure there’s no underage drinking, which is hard because he keeps forgetting Jason is only 20, Tim is upset, Stephanie is REALLY curious, and Damian thinks he’s 30. Someone nearly tricked Cass into drinking, tried to DRUG her, so, sadly, there was violence, committed by the same mom who told them the entire car ride not to punch anyone, no matter how much they wanted to.
Bruce has to slyly cut his speech in half because no one except him noticed Dick falling off the balcony.
When he gets home he puts Tim’s hair into a man-bun and watches his masterpieces go unraveled. “I won’t kill you if you drop that tie on the floor, but Alfred will.”
He finishes a couple of things for work and answers the random questions his kids keep coming in to ask for some reason.
The rest of the night he watches movies with his children, and, for once, he doesn’t need to multitask. Until a fight breaks out, Barbara sees a rat, and Damian cries over the dying dog.

Princess of Themyscira: Part 4

AN:This chapter came fairly easy, I love how it turned out.

Words: 1813

Part One, Part Two, Part Three

The only thoughts on your mind as you climb the steps up towards your grandmother’s palace are ones of sleep. Your body aches, your spirit is sore, and to be completely honest, you feel a bit hollow inside. All you want is to collapse on your bed and sleep. Of course, life isn’t that easy.

At the top of the stairs, you find your grandmother and your sisters waiting for you. You’re a bit surprised. Usually, by this time, they’ve drunk themselves into a stupor, having told each and every one of your mother’s battle stories. The hangovers typically last for days, and you’re usually the one to hold back your sisters’ hair in the morning.

You say nothing as you take a seat at the top of the stairs, and turn to face the horizon. The sun is just beginning to rise, and no one seems inclined to say anything, so you sit in silence until Io finally asks, “What was she like?”

You turn towards your sister and stare. You’d heard the stories, how Io had been madly in love with your mother, and how she had cried for days when she had been officially banished. After a moment you say, “You knew her longer, shouldn’t you know?”

Artemis’s hand lands roughly on your shoulder, “We knew Diana, Princess of Themyscira. Warrior of the Amazons. We did not know Diana, mother of Y/N, Warrior of Man’s World.”

You bite on your lip, “You don’t want to hear what I have to say.”

    “And why not?” Euboea asks.

“Because it involves Man’s World. It involves my brothers. It involves my father, and however much love you have for my mother, and for me, you have just as much resentment for them.”

“Have we ever shown this resentment? Said bad things?” Hellene asks.

Your answer is swift and unforgiving, “Yes.” You can see the shock on the faces of your friends, of your grandmother, and from the rest of my sisters. “It didn’t take you long to accept me, despite being hesitant at first. But I remember the hushed whispers in those early days, what you all would say when you thought I wasn’t around.”
You swallow thickly, “You hate my father for having taken my mother away, but if you knew my mother as you claim, then you would know that no one could make her do anything. And to understand who my mother became when she left here, you’d first have to understand my family. And that starts with my father. And to be honest, I don’t know if it’s a story you’re going to like.”

There’s several long minutes of silence before Io finally says, “Diana was our sister. We wish to know her. You come from her, if you say we need to start with your sire, then that is where we shall start.”

You take a shaky breath before nodding once, “Well, to start, he wasn’t my sire. He was my father, and whatever your misgivings toward men are, he was a good man. He was born into wealth, to a loving mother and father. My grandmother, his mother, wanted a child desperately and it took several miscarriages before she was able to have my father. But he was her world. And my grandfather, Thomas, was a doctor. He turned away from corporate America to help people. To try and relate to those less fortunate than him.

“They were murdered in front of my father when he was eight. That one moment defined the rest of his life. He was left in the care of the family’s butler, Alfred.” You smile at the name, and pause for a moment as the memory of the older man takes center stage in your memory.

“Alfred was amazing. Managed to raise my dad, and my brothers and even helped raise me. He and mom got along so well. He took care of cleaning and cooking, and everything, and anytime one of us had a problem we would go to him.”

You pause to wipe away a tear, before continuing, “As my father grew up, he became obsessed with vengeance.”

“Of course.” Artemis’s voice is sure, understanding, as she says, “If any of us were in the same position we would do the same.”

You smile, “Except he didn’t.” You receive puzzled looks before saying, “He found the man who murdered his parents, only to find out he’d been hired to do the job. He had a gun in his hand, he could have killed the man but decided against it. Decided that he wouldn’t become the very thing his parents had tried so hard to fight.

“He went on a journey across the world. Trained under hundreds of masters in escape and martial arts. He was gone for nearly eight years, and when he returned, he took on the persona of Batman. He donned a mask and a cape, and worked to protect the city he loved. That’s how he met my brothers.

“Dick, Jason, and Tim all came to him in different ways. Each had their own journey with him, but they all were of the same mentality. To protect. It’s the same way he met Mom. The Justice League was formed out of need, not desire. Some Earth shattering crisis, where Mom first appeared. She thought dad was too broody. She worked so hard to get him out of his shell.

“The thing that did it was her almost dying. She took a hit for him. It would have killed him, but it only wounded her. Unlike most of the League, Dad didn’t have any powers. He was extremely smart, cunning, and a master of fighting. But he wasn’t invulnerable.

“Tim said that he never left her side after that. He refused to even eat until she woke up. And her first words to him were, ‘Your rules be damned, Bruce Wayne. I love you, and no matter how hard you push me away, I’ll fight even harder to get close.’ Jason said he just gave up after that.

“Dick said they became one of the most sappy couples ever after that. Only at home though. When they were in uniform they were all business. At least that’s what they claim. Dick said that a lot changed when he let Mom in. She didn’t let him isolate himself, or deny his feelings. She forced him to admit stuff, to become more open.

“My father, who apparently had a hard time admitting he cared, finally admitted that his number one fear was to lose those important to him; my brothers and my mother.”

You pause again to swipe at the tears running down your face. “I remember coming home from a night out with my brothers to find them dancing in the kitchen. We watched them for an hour. He was singing to her. Mom was the only one who could convince him to sing. He had such a pretty voice. He would have given her the sun and the stars if she had let him.

“My brother Damian came after they had been together for about two years. When my father had been traveling he met a woman named Talia. She was a smart woman. A strict woman. And a hell of a fighter. Unbeknownst to my father, a night together had created Damian.

“Damian resented Mom at first. Said there were months of snipes back and forth but my mother never backed away or coddled him. Any smart alec remark was met with one of equal standing until something happened that nobody would talk about. All I know is that Talia never came around again, and my parents were given full parental rights. I came about two years after that.”

“And?” Calyce asks.

You smile, “We were happy. We were a family. I grew up with four older brothers who meant the world to me. Who I could go to. My father wouldn’t go out on patrol without reading me a story before he left. Damian taught me fighting basics to defend myself. The others tried to coddle me too much, he said. But neither Mom nor Dad wanted me to join the family business.

“They wanted me to have a normal life, and I did. Or at least as normal as it can be in that situation. I grew up with the other league kids. I had chores and dance class. We had family trips and family dinners. Mom would tell me stories about her childhood. Dick taught me how to tumble, and Jason would taught me how to ride a bike. I’d spend hours playing video games with Tim. He made me my first cup of coffee for exams. Alfred nearly blew a gasket. Mom just took pictures.

“On weekends Mom would take me horseback riding, and we would race. My favorites memories are the ones of all of us together. Birthdays, galas, movie weekends. But my favorite is one of my mom and dad dancing.

“There was always something going on in the world. Some crisis, but I remember thinking I had never seen two people so at peace in that moment. I had never seen two people so in love. He used to call her ‘princess.’ And it wasn’t some in some condescending way either, it’s because that’s what she was, and she deserved that respect.”

You take a deep breath, “My dad died about three months before I came here. It sent Mom into a rage. She destroyed that incoming fleet. Despite his own resolve not to kill he never tried to persuade her otherwise. He knew she did what she thought was best, that it was a last resort.

“What she did to that fleet though, it was pure vengeance. They had taken the love of her life away, and she was going to kill them for it. She became a different person after that. She was very withdrawn, and when the invasion got worse, they decided as a family that I needed to be saved.

“Alfred drugged me. Slipped something into the coffee Tim had made. They were all there as my eyes closed. They all told me how much they loved me. When I woke up, my mother was carrying me on the beach here. She’d packed a trunk with things she said were important. Put the key around my neck, and well… you know the rest.”

This time, you let the tears come, you allow yourself to sob as you say, “She wasn’t so different from the woman you tell stories about.”

Artemis’s arms surround you, and she pulls you close, “She was very different, little one. She was a mother, not only to you but to your brothers. She was a wife. She was in love. She was a warrior.”

You swallow thickly, “She was Wonder Woman.”

You live on(Damian Wayne imagine)

Requested: Yes
Request: imagine damian lost his wife in childbirth but ended up with twins ( one boy and one girl )
Summary: Damian can’t cope with losing you in childbirth.
Word count: 712
Warning(s): death.

All good things seem to come to an end, even for the best of people. Today was supposed to be a happy day, you two would finally see your babies for the first time, after waiting eagerly for nearly nine months.

But right from the start when you started to feel contractions, things went wrong. You started heavily bleeding, by the time Damian had driven you to the hospital, you were starting to go into shock from blood loss, and you were rushed to a OR. Before they ushered you away “No matter what, you have to be strong for me, Damian, for them darling, it’s too late to run away now.” you told him, giving his hand one final squeeze.

The doctors did all that they could, but their first priority was saving the kids. By the time they got to you, you had lost too much blood to be brought back. They tried anything and everything they could, but there was no use.

I’m sorry mr. Wayne we did all that we could, but we did save the babies, they’re in intensive care.” Damians heart broke, he couldn’t imagine a life without you, a life as a father for two, he felt unready and unqualified.

For the first week of the babies lives, he tried his best, but that all collapsed when he went to your funeral, to send you off to your final journey. He soon realized that there was no way he would be able to handle the pressure alone as much as he wanted to and temporarily moved into Wayne manor again. Days became weeks, weeks became months, and soon half a year had gone by.

Damian was still broken, unable to be the father his children so much needed, his family pitched in as much as they could, Alfred being the primary caregiver, they tried to understand the young man, the grief he must have felt. But Bruce saw a deeper problem.

He saw, in a way, the same thing happening to his grandchildren as happened to him. Of course you weren’t killed in front of them, but with you gone, Damian was as good as dead.

Damian was in his room refusing to come out, to eat, when Bruce had finally had enough. “Damian,” He said knocking on his bedroom door, “Go away father,” He said firmly.

Bruce wasn’t having it and walked into the room, opening the closed curtains, before sitting at the foot of his sons bed. “Damian, you need to get yourself together.” Bruce informs, pulling the covers away. “What’s the point, y/n’s not here anymore.” Damian drily responds.

Those children need you Damian, they need a father.” Bruce tries to convince his son.

They’re better off without me,” Damian sighs. Bruce stands up starting to leave the room, “Come on, I need to show you something,” he tells his son, who groans but gets up nonetheless.

He follows Bruce through the manor, stopping behind the open door of the nursery, where Dick and Tim were playing with the small twins. “They look so much like her, don’t they?” Bruce asks Damian, who just coldly nods, “What is the point of this,” He asks back.

They’ve already lost their mother, they need you now more than ever.”  He shows, as they both step in the room, even though Damian does it very reluctantly. Both of the children are sitting up, and their father quickly catches their attention. They both reach towards him, squealing in excitement. After all, their interaction with him had thus far been limited, but they still recognize them nonetheless.

The bliss in the children’s eyes when Damian sat down in front of him was immeasurable. They both had your eyes, Damians skin and hair colour and your facial features. It might have hurt Dami more to see his passed spouse in the children, but in a way it brought peace to him, to know that you will forever live in those two young fragile children.

He runs a finger over either of the children’s hands, causing them to happily to grab onto him. Bruce knew, that he had succeeded in bringing the small, broken but healing family back together. Damian swore to be the best father he could be.

Okay so in Batman Beyond there's an episode where Bruce and Terry go see a 'Batman Musical', just imagine that goes on in Gotham and Jason finds out and asks(forces/tricks) the batfam to go.

i’m finally answering this! i had a really rough week, which is why this took a while, but i kept thinking about this prompt and laughing, so thank you for that.

and on that note: are you serious, that’s amazing. i vaguely remember watching batman beyond but i don’t actually remember all that much about it. i’ll need to look this up.

but yes. yes. i want this to be a Thing.

i want to imagine it as something between holy musical b@man! and the ember island players. like. just picture the kind of crazy misinformed shit that these people are tossing into the mix because what’s the truth and what’s the lie, no one knows, they’re going to make a musical about batman and his however many kids/sidekicks anyway

(they people putting on this play are probably college students)

getting back on track, how does jason find out about it?

there are two ways i think it could happen. one: jason loves lit. we know this. he collected first editions with alfred and bruce when he was a kid. in my personal experience, if you like lit, you almost definitely like theater in some sense as well. at the very least you’ve read plays.

jason holds his goddamn red hood helmet like he’s hamlet and it’s yorick.

trust me, he likes plays.

Are you still taking family prompts? If so, I'd love to read something for “Here, I’ll zip you up.” with Tim and Damian :) Love your writing and your blog!!

I’m always taking prompts :D And thank you very much, I had a lot of fun writing this and I really hope you like it!

It’s one of those weeks - you know the ones.

It starts with three WE accountants turning rogue. It’s honestly more annoying than surprising, since it’s almost Christmas and there are a lot of year-end financial statements to be done. And, still in the name of honesty, Tim’s already done enough of them to understand how someone could think that turning to crime would be a better life choice. By thursday the head of HR starts her own crime empire, and when they schedule a meeting about it everybody in the department claims that they knew she’d end up doing something like that, what with all the pictures of the Joker on her desk, and Tim has to make a tremendous effort not to point out that maybe, maybe, that issue should’ve been brought up before their boss started robbing banks.

Today is - thankgodforsmallmercies - friday, and in the morning someone in the technical department decided it was a good day to bring their expertise to Two Face’s business. Tim didn’t even ask about details, just marched into his own office, shut the door behind him, and let the police deal with it. In a few hours he’ll go home, put on the Red Robin costume and go help them anyway. “Don’t you check these people background before hiring them?” Damian asks, sitting at Tim’s desk, surrounded by piles of books taller than him. He looks like a baby accountant from hell, what with the suit and the scowl and his feet not reaching the floor and the embezzlement of everything Tim owns, but the desk and the computer and the pens really are a small price to pay for his help, as much as Tim hates to admit it.

And it’s not like he didn’t ask literally anyone else before deciding to put away both his pride and his survival instinct and recruit Damian to help him with this mess, but Bruce is in Hong Kong with Alfred and Cass, and Dick had smiled apologetically at him and said something like “sorry, I’m not so good with numbers, little bird” - and well, Tim knows it’s not really true but also true enough not to push. Jason could help - Tim knows he could, because as much as the bastard likes to play dumb they both know he’s really not - but when asked he just laughed to his face. Barbara didn’t laugh but was already overwhelmed with her work, and Stephanie had blatantly thrown a piece of her waffle at him.

So yeah, his thirteen year old ex-assassin little brother was basically the most qualified and experienced of them, and the only one that actually agreed to help - although not without a little convincing and blackmailing, but yeah, Tim was borderline desperate there.

If you love Robin but haven’t read Superman’s ‘In the Name of the Father’ arc (issues 10-11) you should rush right out and do so now. Jon and Damian and their tween-age rivalry are adorable. Here’s some things to convince you:

  • Maya Ducard, a.k.a., Nobody, is in it and her relationship with both boys is just wonderful.
  • “I like your….um…bat-cow.” “I rescued her from a slaughter house.” “Oh, Okay.” “My dog Titus was a gift. He accompanied my father to Apokolips, where they rescued my dead corpse from the grip of Darkseid and brought me back to life. Alfred the cat is…my cat.” Actual dialog. Man, I love comics.
  • Clark and Bruce force their kids to go on a cooperative adventure in order to make them friends. Clark actually creates a hurricane over Gotham Harbor as part of it. So what if it potential endangers thousands, at least their boys learn to play nice.
  • Clark and Bruce congratulate themselves on their parenting skills despite failing to notice when their sons started a forest fire (Jon) and kidnapped someone (Damian). I’m no fan of helicopter parenting but come on guys. This is a bit more serious than letting them ride their bikes alone to the local park. When your kids have barely controlled superpowers or ninja training and access to high tech equipment it pays to give them some parental oversight.
Stolen Heart: Part 2

Prompt: Can you do a Damian Wayne Imagine where the reader is Catwoman’s protogé and they have a relationship just like Bruce and Selina but the mentors don’t approve?

AN: There were several different ideas for continuing this, including their first meeting, instead I decided to go with this. Also apparently it seems to be a Damian Wayne sort of day.

Words: 894

Part One

“I told you what would happen. People like us don’t belong with people like them.”

You turn to face Selina. Your sister has always been pretty, but you can see it in her eyes; the loneliness. You can see it, because it’s begun creeping into your own. “Do you ever regret not being with him?”

She just shrugs, “I wasn’t made for commitment, neither were you.”

Your fingers begin playing with your hair. “Maybe I’m not like either of you,” you whisper the words, but you know she’s heard them.

          “You want out?” she asks.

You nod, and turn towards her, “I want out of the game. I want out of Gotham.”

She looks you in the eye, “He won’t stop, not even for you. This way of life is in his blood.”

“I know, never said I wanted to take him with me.”

Selina just nods, “Well, your share of the money is more than enough to set you up pretty for quite a long time. I’ll have it transferred to an offshore account, I suggest leaving sooner rather than later.”

You turn back to the view of the sky line, and refuse to watch as your sister disappears. Your last words to her are, “I’ll be gone within the hour.”

You leave that night and you don’t look back. Or you try not to. For the most part, you’re fairly happy with this new life, you make good friends, find an honest job, but your heart still yearns for the one thing you can’t have; Damian Wayne. Despite your best efforts you think about him every day. You go on a couple of dates here and there, but it’s never anything serious.

In fact, most days, you’re able to convince yourself that he’s completely forgotten about you. That’s why, three years later, when someone knocks on your door, the last person you ever expected to see was him. “Damian,” his name comes out in a whisper.

He doesn’t say anything, just grabs your wrist and starts pulling. At first you’re too stunned to do anything. Then as you reach the elevator you snatch your hand back. You take several steps back, your eyes never leaving his frame, as though they’re drinking in the sight of him. “What are you doing here Damian?”

He doesn’t look at you, and you can feel the anger rolling off of him in waves. “Someone is hunting down you sister and by extension, you. Father ordered me to bring you in for your own protection.”

You straighten a bit, “I can take care of myself.”

He scoffs, “Obviously. Y/N Kyle doesn’t need anyone, just packs up and leaves in the middle of the night. No call, no letter, no anything.”

You flinch at the words, and take a deep breath, “I couldn’t do that life anymore Damian.”

“You didn’t have to! I told you that. The minute you left that life we could have been together. There would be nothing holding us back. How many times did we talk about it?”

          “Hundreds, but things changed Damian.”

His hands go to his hips. “What the hell could have been so important that you left? That you couldn’t be with me? That my protection wasn’t enough?”

“MAMAAAA!” The cry grabs your attention as a little head peeks out from the door Damian left open. At the sight of you the little boy smiles, and begins running down the hallway as fast as his little legs can carry him. He latches onto your leg with a grin and Damian’s eyes never leave him.

          You nod, “Yes.”

          “This is why you left?”

Damian takes in a gulp of air, “You could have come to the Manor.”

You shake your head, “We were nineteen Damian. The papers would have been all over us, and our son would have been the target of who knows what. And then there’s the little issue of your family.”

He looks you in the eye “I would have made them understand.”

You smile, “I was worried about me too Damian. I was terrified that I would fall back into that life, or that someone would come looking for us. That lifestyle is an addiction if I’ve ever seen one Damian. You know that.”

Damian just nods, before looking back at your son. He slowly kneels down in front of the boy and asks, “What’s your name?”

You son grins and says “Gideon.”

Damian smile a bit wider, “And how old are you?”

“I’m three.” Your son holds up three fingers to accompany his words.

You can feel the tears coming, as you kneel down and ask, “Gideon, who is this?” You point to Damian and Gideon smiles and says, “Daddy!”

The shock on Damian’s face is clear as day and you explain, “I made sure to tell him about you. I made sure to show him your picture too. He knows who you are Damian.” Suddenly Gideon pulls away from your legs and flings himself onto Damian. Damian catches the boy with all the grace of the hero he is.

Gideon just grins and says, “I love you daddy.”

Damian looks into your eyes and says, “I’ll keep you safe, the both of you.”

You just give a small smile. Even after nearly four years, Damian still holds your heart.

anonymous asked:

Super sad head-canon. All of Damian's happy memories of his mother were manufactured or self-delusion. Like he vaguely remembers a lullaby or being rocked in her arms, but really they were some of his kinder caretakers. He convinced himself it was Talia to justify his love and loyalty for her to others. Tim found some old footage of Damian's childhood and discovered the deviations from what Damian has reluctantly told Dick about his past. Bruce tries to keep the truth from Damian.

I wonder if Dick would know it’s not real as well. Like, from the few times he’s seen Talia after Damian came into their lives, might’ve asked her about it. ‘What happened to the woman who would sing Damian lullabies when he was a baby? What happened to that Talia.’ And Talia’s honestly confused and is like, ‘I never did such a thing.’ And so Dick just…kept that knowledge to himself.

Bruce would probably keep it secret out of some sort of guilt. Like, yes Talia has done some terrible things, hurting Damian included, but - he still loves her, deep down, somewhere. Still always hopes and thinks about the best of her. But for none of those stories Damian believes to be real, AND to have him as a father - that kid deserves to believe the lie. Just that one. Let him have that hope. That tiny little hope that his parents aren’t actually the worst. He deserves that. He deserves better than that of course, but - he deserves that, at least.

Poor kiddo.

Why the Batfamily is Dysfunctional Part 3

- They have contests on Halloween where the first one to make Damian wet himself from fear wins.

- Barbara and Steph once painted the whole Batcave pink for no reason

- Cass has a habit of stealing other people’s garden gnomes. She has a collection in the Batcave and refuses to return them when Bruce tells her to

- Jason likes putting hair dye in Dick and Tim’s shampoo bottles

- Believe it or not, Wayne Manor used to have an indoor pool. Then Damian wondered what would happen if he suddenly decided to set it on fire. They don’t have an indoor pool anymore

- The reason Bruce still doesn’t have a girlfriend is because they never call him back after finding out he has like seven kids

- The Wayne family once held a ball, so Dick and Bruce had to teach the others how to dance. Cass was amazing, Jason purposefully stepped on toes, Barbara couldn’t really do much, Damian got frustrated and punched a wall, Stephanie kept elbowing Dick in the chest when she spun around, and Tim was just embarrassing

- Jason “I Died Once and Need to Remind My Family of it Every Single Day” Todd

- No one in the house is allowed to play Slender Man again after The Incident

- Tim drinks his coffee with Redbull and everyone keeps wondering how he’s still alive

- They are all banned from Walmart

- There’s a small ice cream shop in a rundown part of Gotham where Bruce takes his sidekicks sometimes after patrol. They only go in their uniforms and have given every employee there a heart attack at least once

- Steph likes stealing food from other people’s plates when they’re not looking

- Dick sleepwalks frequently and always wakes up cuddling in someone else’s bed

- No one in the house has a normal sleeping schedule

- Cass likes jumping on family member’s backs for impromptu piggyback rides

- Damian is terrified of Tellytubbies for some reason

- Bruce once took the entire family to Disney World and managed to lose every single one of them within an hour. He and Alfred had to call the cops, and they found them all on the teacups having gone on again and again for hours in a contest to see who would throw up first

- Cass collects Littlest Pet Shop toys and sometimes convinces her brothers to play with them with her

- Tim is too short to reach the cookie jar and Jason teases him mercilessly with it. Jay will reach up, take a cookie, and eat it all the while staring Tim dead in the eyes before putting the jar back on an even higher shelf and walking away

- Damian has named every bat in the Batcave and even makes them little outfits

- Dick always starts decorating for Christmas on November first and cries when Bruce doesn’t let him

- Tim hands out candy canes to kids on Halloween

- They have weekly rap battles

Nobody can convince me that Stephanie doesn’t care about Damian. She sees him as an annoying little brother and she thinks he takes himself too seriously. And Damian definitely enjoys her company no matter how hard he tries to deny it. He’s stuck between seeing her as a big sister and having a small crush on her.

Batfamily Musical Talents Headcanons

Bruce: His parents taught him how to play the piano when he was a boy, but he hasn’t done it as much since their deaths. Though sometimes on really quiet nights he will sit at the grand piano in the living room and play when he needs some time to clear his head. Occasionally his kids will quietly sneak in the doorway and listen to his music when they think he’s unaware of their presence. He knows they’re there of course because he’s The Batman, but he secretly likes sharing this small piece of his parents with his children.

Dick: Dick has taken music lessons before for so many different instruments, but the kid just couldn’t sit still enough to learn more than the basics. However, he absolutely loves listening to others play and will sometimes dance along. His dancing is unique and has a certain flare to it, with fluid movements that are completely mesmerizing to watch. Especially when he throws some gymnastics into it, which makes his dancing look even cooler and more complicated.

Barbara: She’s amazing at the piano like Bruce, and they often play duets together for the family, her on the higher keys and Bruce on the lower. She plays for Dick on her own a lot, weird bouncy tunes that she makes up as she goes with goofy lyrics that make them both laugh.

Jason: It’s actually canon that Jason plays the guitar, so I think he would play an electric one because he thinks it’s cooler, but really he’s so much better with an acoustic. He plays really emotional songs that have made people cry more than a few times, and it’s even better when he sings along in his rough but soulful voice. He was great when he was Robin, but after he came back to life his singing voice somehow became so much better that it rivaled professional singers.

Cass: Cass may not be good with words, but she has a natural talent for creating music. Random melodies come to her easily, and it’s not rare to hear her humming a quiet tune of her own invention. Alfred noticed this and taught her about writing music, and she found it to be so much easier than reading words. Sometimes she will compose a song and give it to Bruce, who will perform it on the piano while Cass listens.

Tim: Tim isn’t very open about his musical talent and never does it in front of others, but Tim is secretly a fantastic singer. His voice isn’t very loud, but it has a softness to it that is the polar opposite of Jason’s deep and rough one. The only time anyone has heard him sing is when he thought he was the only one home and he sang alone to music on his headphones. Little did he know that Alfred was silently standing by his doorway and listening in.

Steph: She doesn’t play the drums, per se, but Steph is really good at beats. She isn’t aware of the talent, but she’s always doing stuff like tapping her pencil on a desk or drumming her fingers rhythmically on a table when she’s thinking hard. Tim once asked her about it, but she honestly had no idea she was making actual music.

Damian: It’s canon that Dami plays the violin, which I assume Talia must have taught him when he was with the League as a way to make him more cultured. He would play really sweetly, but whenever someone asks him to play for them he insists he has no idea what they’re talking about and leaves the room. He really enjoys playing for his pets though, especially Alfred the Cat and Goliath, who love it.

Alfred: His musical talent isn’t playing an instrument or singing, but rather the ability to coerce his family into playing together while he listens. He will convince Cass to show one of her compositions to Bruce, who gets Barbara to play it with him for everyone. After some convincing, Jason strums along on his guitar, Damian will quietly bring out his violin and play a background harmony, and Steph will tap a beat with her hands on her lap. Dick dances around the room with Cass in a fun dance of their own invention, and even Tim reluctantly sings along with any lyrics that pop into his head, Jason soon joining in as they harmonize perfectly. Those are the moments when Alfred really feels like they’re a family, and maybe he hides a small video camera or two on a nearby shelf so he can record his family’s musical jam session to watch when he feels down.

anonymous asked:

Imagine Damian seeing his S/o having like huge scars on her body (from a knife attack or something) from when they were like in their early teens, the s/o never wears anytihng revealing (dresses and such) like, what would he do? think?

Damian loves everything about his S/O, so when he saw the very top of a scar on her collarbone, he was instantly curious. He knows that she was attacked when she was younger, she had taken a blow that was intended for her sibling. She refused to wear anything with a low collar, or anything that exposed her torso at all.

The first time he saw the scars was an accident. Damian had a bad habit of not knocking whenever he went into someone’s room. So he just walked into her room, while she was in the middle of getting dressed. She had whipped around, expecting an attack, and completely froze when she saw Damian, who’s eyes were locked on her scars. She immediately started yelling, throwing things at Damian, and she started crying. He of course dodged everything and refused to leave.

He pulled her into his arms, pressing kisses into her hair. He whispered into her ear that she was beautiful, that her scars made her beautiful. Of course she doesn’t believe him, she says that the scars make her ugly, that she will never be as beautiful as other girls. Damian is having none of that.

He picks her up and puts her on the bed, laying her out so all of her scars are on display. Gently pinning her hands down when she tries to cover herself up. Damian kisses every inch of every one of her scars. Whispering compliments and declarations of love into her skin. Damian whispers that her scars are one of the reasons she is so beautiful, they mean that she survived. They tell the story of how strong she is, how much pain she has endured, and how hard she had to fight just to keep living. She cries when he says that.

Eventually, probably a few months or reassurance, she starts to wear cloths the show a little more skin. Nothing too drastic, maybe something like she doesn’t mind when her scar peaks out of her shirt. Or when she is finally convinced o go to a gala, she sets off a new fashion trend. A high necked dress, which covers most of her skin, but it dips sown a little bit in the back. People stop wearing the super short dresses, and start wearing longer more elegant cloths to the galas.

She knows that Damian loves everything about her, he had offered to kill her attacker may times, and that he accepts all of her flaws. They love each other no matter what. Damian has his own collection of scars that he wears like a badge of honor, and slowly his S/O is learning to do the same.

Here is the second part of I Think I’m In Love! I will put a link to it below, and prompts are open for either this arc or for any ideas:) More to come!
(Part 1) (Part 2) (Part 3)

Every night Jason would cuddle you and put a hand on your growing tummy. He would bring you books to read and even read ‘What to Expect When You’re Expecting’ with you. The best thing was when you’d call him while on patrol at 3 am.

Jason would always answer no matter what, even if he was in the middle of battle. Sometimes you could hear whoever he was fighting ask him who he’s talking to.

“What’s up? You okay? Baby okay?” He’d ask. You’d always laugh because it was always the same.

“No I’m not okay! I’m craving chocolate truffles and a cheeseburger with avocado from the diner on 5th. Babe, could you be a dear…”

You’d hear him sigh then say “Anything for you, doll.”

The perks of having a husband that fights crime at ungodly hours.
