and can we talk about dean's face

The Fight

Warning: Angst

Dean was pissed.

The car drove silently along the dark, empty road. Not even the sounds of Zeppelin played in the background. His knuckles were white. You knew you were in for it when you got home. You knew that you two were going to yell at each other until you were blue in the face and you were more than likely spending the night in your old bedroom. You had been spending a lot of time there recently. You were starting to wonder if maybe you should move your stuff back in there.

You and Dean had been fighting more and more these past few months. It was about anything and everything. You didn’t pick up any beer. You forgot to pack an extra shirt and now I’m stuck giving you mine. It was everything. He had just started flirting with bartenders when you went out after hunts. It was only a matter of time until he forgot all about you.

You were hurting. Dean was the love of your life. He was there for you when you needed him the most. He made your heart race and your knees weak. He brought out the best in you and sometimes the worst. He challenged you in the best ways. Now? Now it felt like you were the last thing on his mind unless he was pissed at you. You no longer felt like you were the girl he loved. You felt like it didn’t matter if you were there or not. You fought so much that you’d rather that than face life without him.

Dean pulled into the garage and cut the engine. You were out of the car faster than you ever had been. You forgot about your bags and headed straight in, Dean hot on your tail. You weren’t ready for this fight. You weren’t ready for any of them. But this time, you were so close to your breaking point. You couldn’t handle it today. You didn’t want to have this fight. You wanted to feel your boyfriend’s arms around you, and just for once. Just once, have him tell you that everything was going to be okay.

 That was wishful thinking.

“What was that back there?” he started, shrugging his jacket of his shoulders.

“I made a mistake,” you admitted.

“A mistake? You nearly got yourself killed Y/N!” he raised his voice.

“Yeah I know. I’m sorry. It won’t happen again,” you practically whispered.

“That’s what you said last time,” he scoffed.

“Dean, I really don’t want to fight,” you said softly. “We fight all the time. Can’t we argue about this tomorrow and just go to bed?”

“Fine. Don’t wait up,” he practically growled, grabbing his jacket. He was headed to the bar.

 “Dean!”

 “What?” He rolled his eyes.

“What happened to us? We never used to be like this,” you breathed out.

“You knew how hard this was going to be before we started-”

“Of course I did, Dean! We’re hunters. We don’t know if we’re going to have tomorrow or not but that’s not what I meant. We never used to fight like this. Now it’s like every conversation we have, it turns into an argument,” you started. “Is this not enough for you anymore? Am I not enough for you?”

“Can we talk about this later?”

“No! No we can’t! I’ve been pushing this down for months Dean! MONTHS! Every fight! Every time you absentmindedly flirt with the bartender right in front of my face. You think I don’t feel it every time I sleep by myself? You think that this what I want hanging over my head every day? Constantly wondering if today is the day you kick me out or worse, tells me that you don’t love me anymore.”

 “Y/N, stop!”

“You know, a part of me wished that I would have gotten seriously hurt on that hunt today. It’s a sad thought that I figured that if I got hurt that maybe my boyfriend would care. Maybe he would stop fighting with me to realize that I was hurting more than just physically.  But you don’t care and I can’t make you care. Just like I can’t make you fall in love with me again,” you sniffled, wiping away the tear that slipped down your cheek.  “I’m sorry that I wasn’t enough for you Dean. I can’t keep putting myself through this. I love you with all my heart, Dean and more. When we were happy together, you gave me some of the greatest memories. But I’m sorry, I can’t do this anymore.”

“Don’t. Don’t walk away,” he pleaded.

“Give me one good reason not to.”

Dean woke up around 5am on Monday morning. It had been three months since you, his 18 year old sister, had decided to take your own life. Him and Sam never got a note, you were just gone and that was all they knew. They were too late to save you and that bothered him. Every morning since that day he woke up at 5am. He realised there was no going back to sleep so he climbed out of bed and headed to the door. When he opened the door he was surprised to be greeted with a small box in front of his feet. Dean looked left and right and noticed Sam wasn’t around to have just placed the box there. He sighed, picked it up, shut his door and walked back to his bed.

As he opened up the box he was confused as he noticed that all was inside were tapes. Why would someone give him a box of tapes? Dean rummaged through the box on his shelf and found his old tape player that John had given him when he was a kid and wanted to listen to AC/DC. He put the first mysterious tape inside the player and pressed play.

“Hello,” the familiar voice that he hadn’t heard for three months spoke which almost hurt his ears to know that he could hear in tape form. He must have been mistaken… It couldn’t be!

“My name is Y/N Winchester,” your tape continued. “I’m about to tell you the story of my life. More specifically, why my life ended… And if you’re listening to this tape,” The tape paused for a moment and Dean waited in suspense. “You’re one of the reasons why.”

He pulled the headphones off his head and sat there for a moment. He couldn’t believe the voice or words he was hearing. How could this be real? How could he really be hearing it? Having to listen to the voice of his deceased sister was hard for him, but the only way to find out more was listening to the tapes… So he continued. It wasn’t a fast decision, he took a breath and thought about just throwing them away. But then he would never know the reason why. This was like your suicide note, only in the form of 13 tapes.

His shaky hands picked up the headphones and placed them carefully on his head. He pressed play on the tape player and continued to listen. “As there are to every story, there are 13 different sides to this. I’m going to tell you all of them. Each tape is based on one of the people that are the reason my life ended. So, once you’ve listened to all the tapes you need to pass these on to the next person. If you don’t, well, just know that someone is always watching every single one of you and will make sure that all the tapes are listened to by every person. Now that you understand.. Let me begin with my first tape.”

Dean closed his eyes and followed the story you were telling. “First up, we have the thing that started it all… It was a normal day for you maybe, but not me at all. I didn’t know about hunting or any of that, not until you told me. I went to find you after mom had said she saw you earlier that day, I thought maybe it would be a chance for me to meet my father for the first time. Incase you hadn’t figured it out by now, we have our first person of the story. Welcome to your tape, John.”

Dean realised that John could have been the one these tapes outside of Dean’s room. He almost forgot that both of his parents now lived in the bunker with him and Sam. John must have listened to the tapes before him. Or maybe it was Mary? Since you died they both acted weirdly around both the boys, but then again, Mary acted strangely around you anyway so maybe she had something to do with all of this. He didn’t have time to think as the tape continued to play and tell Dean the story of what happened to you.

* * *

You were a nervous wreck ever since you joined your father and his two sons. Your mom insisted on you moving in with John so that you could bond and get to know your father after all those years of wishing you knew him. You knew it wouldn’t be easy meeting him when the day came, but you never expected it to be that hard.

He told you all about hunting and all his excuses of why he left you and your mother. They were stupid and you hated listening to him explaining, you needed someone to take your anger out on and that person was John. You needed to scream and shout at him every now and then for small things just so you could release some of the pain that he made you feel for most of your life.

But that shit didn’t fly with John, you either did as he said or you were gone. “It’s my way or the highway,” you recalled him saying to you a few times after your arguments. Sam and Dean didn’t live with John really, it was more like John lived with them, along with Mary Winchester. They owned this thing called the Men Of Letters Bunker. The place was huge, so many bedrooms you couldn’t count, you could have sworn you found a new room there everyday.

Before John moved in here, him and his wife (who was also the two boy’s mother) had come back to life after so many years. They didn’t fit into the word exactly so they relied on hunting as what kept them grounded. Sam, Dean, John, Mary and you. That’s how it was. Of course, being the youngest meant that you had to follow everyone’s rules and it was for your own ‘safety.’

* * *

“For my own safety? That was complete bullshit,” you spoke smoothly through Dean’s headphones. “You just wanted someone to boss around, dad. You couldn’t control Sam and Dean anymore, so you made sure that you could completely control me. Before that I didn’t have anyone controlling me, I could do what I wanted and act however I thought was right for me. You took that from me… That’s where it all started going down hill, it’s where I started to break.”

Dean once again paused the tape. He checked his nightstand and saw that it was now 6am. How had time moved so quickly? How long had it taken him to listen to this short part of the tape? He knew he had taken it out at the beginning because it was too hard to listen to, but he never knew he was stalling for so long.

A break from this right now seemed appropriate. So, he took the headset off, left it on his bed and headed to the kitchen to get something to eat. Every step he took felt heavier than the last. This wasn’t something new, it had been happening ever since you took your life, but now it was hitting him harder. It made every movement more painful than they had been before; he didn’t even know that was possible until now.

Once he reached the kitchen, he was pleasantly surprised to see that Mary, John and Sam were already there and eating breakfast. Sam was still at the stove, finishing up cooking some eggs and the rest of the bacon while John and Mary sat opposite each other and ate what they already had. “Dean,” John said by surprise. “You’re up later than usual.”

“It’s 6am,” Dean replied with a gravelly voice that he always had when he was tired. Lately, it seemed to be the only voice he had.

“You’re usually up at around 5,” John noted. Sam came and sat down next to Mary at the table and placed a plate down for himself and for Dean.

“You hungry?” Sam asked and Dean joined them at the table. “How you holding up?”

“I feel… Different to what I have for the last few months,” Dean replied to his little brother. “You know, I actually woke up at 5am again today. I stayed in my room because I found something left outside my door.”

All of their eyes widened as Dean spoke. They looked at each other before John spoke. “So she finally finished listening to them.”

“What? Who?” Dean questioned as he squeezed his fork tightly in his hand.

“We can’t talk about this,” Mary recalled before picking up a piece of bacon from her plate and eating it.

“You can’t do that to me! Who are you talking about?!” Dean demanded as he threw his fork down.

“The last person that had the tapes,” John told him which earned a glance from Mary and Sam.

“The tapes… You’ve all listened to them?” Dean looked around at them all. They were faces of the people he knew, they were his family. But they all felt so unfamiliar, like strangers with secrets.

“We can’t talk about it, you need to listen to the tapes,” Sam finished before taking his plate over to the trash can and throwing his food away.

“Are any of you on there? Who is the ‘she’ that you’re talking about? Is it someone else on the tapes?” Dean asked quickly, not giving them time to answer any of them as he continued. “Are you all on the tapes?”

“Dean, we can’t,” Mary snapped. “You have to just listen to the tapes, everyone on there had to.”

He stood up and made his way to the exit of the kitchen but stopped in his tracks.

“It’s hard to listen to,” Dean admitted with a sad voice. He stood in the door way as he spoke to them. “It’s the voice of my dead sister.”

“Dean!” John hissed. He looked at his son standing in there, he looked so heartbroken and vulnerable. “Please son, just listen to the tapes.”

Dean glared at them all. If looks could kill, they would all be dead in a second. He stormed off and went back to his room, it turned out he didn’t get any food or a drink to soothe his feelings of anxiety right now. He returned in the same state he was in before. Dean placed the headset back on his ears and continued to listen to John’s tape.

“But that wasn’t all, was it dad?” You questioned rhetorically. “No, you did more than just boss me around. When you realised you couldn’t do it anymore, you did the only thing that you thought you could do to end the lack of control…”

* * *

It was a few months after you had moved into the bunker and began your training to become a hunter. It wasn’t the physical side of it all because you already knew how to fight after your countless years of being bullied at school. That’s why the boys and your dad were so okay with you going hunting with them; they knew you could take care of yourself.

It was the research of it all. You weren’t used to connecting the dots with how certain monsters acted or what they did with how the victims had died. You gradually became better at it, but you weren’t as good as your brothers because they grew up doing it. You knew that. You understood that.

John didn’t seem to though. All he did was compared you to Sam and Dean and demanded that you become a smarter person. That wasn’t something you could just do, you can’t just snap your fingers one day and get what you want. You have to work for shit like that, it takes time and patience… But those were two things that John lacked.

It was that one day in the motel you were all staying in. The report in the paper said that the bystanders smelled sulphur after the woman was attacked. That was easy enough to figure out, right? Wrong. You weren’t trained enough in the mythology of monsters and you had no idea that sulphur was a sign of demons. You read past it and said there was nothing in there that could have been your kind of thing.

John insisted that you had missed something, just like he always did. You hated when you had to look for cases in the paper. Either you would misjudge it and say you had found a case or you would read past it too quickly and not realise that there was your kind of thing going on. No. You never got it right, so John always checked.

He held the paper in his hand as he sat opposite you at the small table in the motel. You watched nervously as his eyes scanned over the front page and read about the current murder spree going around. “Jesus Christ,” he groaned as he slammed the paper down on the table. “You’re kidding me right, Y/N? You don’t see a case here?”

“Uh, no, sir,” you replied shakily. Sam and Dean noticed your worry from where they were sitting on the beds. Mary was currently out on a supply run.

“It says here the by passers could smell sulphur,” John stated as he looked over at his sons.

“So what are we thinking, a demon?” Dean asked while he continued to clean his gun.

John clicked his tongue and Dean’s answer as if it was obvious. “Exactly… A demon.”

“A demon?” You questioned as you looked between all of them.

“The smell of sulphur is an instant alert for a demon,” Sam told you with a smile. He didn’t mind teaching you, he actually enjoyed it. He liked passing on his knowledge with you and helping you become a better hunter. He had patience… John didn’t.

“Yeah,” John snapped. “Every hunter should know that.”

You hated when he got like this because you instantly knew it was a dig at you and you were tired of it. The boys saw nothing of it because they didn’t pay enough attention. That’s why they thought you were in the wrong when you snapped back.

“Well, I’m still new at this so you can’t expect me to know everything,” you hissed which got John’s back up. You were glad it pissed him off, it was time that he took you seriously.

“You do not speak to your father like that!” He shouted as he stood from his chair and pushed it back aggressively.

You stood up too so you could regain dominance in the conversation. “What kind of father are you? I barely even know you!”

“This isn’t about me,” he replied with a steady tone.

“Yes it is!” You screamed. “This is about you… This is about what you didn’t do. You weren’t there because you were too busy hunting with your other family. And yes, I know that you died when I was a kid, but even when you came back to life you didn’t bother looking for me.”

“I thought we were past this,” he growled with flared nostrils.

“We are. We are past this,” you lied. You weren’t over it, but you had to pretend you were for the sake of everyone else. “I’m not reminding you about it because I’m hurt, I’m reminding you because you need to understand my point of view. I’m not good at researching cases with you because I was never here for it. And you’re not good at being a father to me because you were never there.”

When you finished your statement it was as if the world stopped for a minute. You came to terms with what you had said and realised that you meant it; John wasn’t as accepting towards the statement as you were. The boys both gasped as they saw John’s hand being drawn back.

Before you could react to his movement, John’s hand made harsh contact with your cheek. It was enough force that if pushed you to the floor. You breathed heavily as you stood up; you were holding your hand against your cheek in disbelief.

“You asshole!” You growled as your stood on your feet. “You fucking asshole!”

“What the hell is going on?” Mary demanded as she walked through the door. “Y/N? What happened to your face?”

“It was dad! He slapped me!” You screamed. “You’re a dick, how could you?!”

“Dad, you crossed the line,” Sam said. “You don’t hit your kids.”

“Things just got out of hand,” Dean insisted. “They should never have gone this far, you need to talk about this and sort it out because this shit has been going on for too long. All you do is argue with each other over the smallest things.”

“Dean! He hit her!” Sam defended as he stood up in annoyance.

“We’ve all hit each other! Hell, we’ve tried to kill each other before,” Dean recalled. You couldn’t believe Dean would actually try and defend his father, you thought he had changed.

“Why are you defending him?!” You fumed.

“I’m not,” Dean said calmly. He put his arms up in defence as he continued to talk. “All I’m saying is we have all done terrible things to each other, our family is messed up. This is something that’s needs to be dealt with and then we move on.”

You scoffed at his words. John looked down at you the same way he always did, his eyes full of hatred and boiling with anger. “There’s nothing to talk about. I want you gone, Y/N.”

“But-”

“No!” John spat. “I want you gone, get the fuck out of here. Go back to living with your mom, the hunting life isn’t for everyone and you’re most definitely not meant to be a hunter.”

You couldn’t believe the words that were leaving his mouth. You looked at your brothers and saw that even they didn’t know what to say. You grabbed your things, threw them into a backpack and walked out like you weren’t even bothered. But of course you were. You were so desperate for one of them to follow you and beg you to come back… But no one ever did.

* * *

“You hit me in the face. It hurt. But not as much as it hurt when you hit me with rejection and hatred. You wanted me gone… I hated you, John, more than I had ever hated anyone. You felt the same way about me and I wasn’t going to stick around for that so I headed back to my moms.”

Dean once again removed the headphones and paused the tape. There wasn’t long left of this tape but it was so hard for him to listen to. He checked his clock on his nightstand once again and saw that it was now 1:35pm. Food. He needed food.

Another walk to the kitchen with pain in his steps led to a nervous feeling in his stomach. What John had done to you was so bad, what if Dean’s was worse? What if he had hurt you but had no idea that it had affected you so badly? Dean was pulled out of his thoughts when he saw his father sitting alone at the kitchen table and drinking a beer.

“Hey, son,” he said with a soft voice. “You doing ok?”

“I’m great,” Dean snapped. “I won’t talk to you and piss you off though, I don’t wanna get a beating.”

John sighed and rubbed his palm over his face. “You listened to my tape.”

“I haven’t finished it yet,” Dean shook his head. “It’s still hard to listen to.”

John didn’t reply to what Dean said, he just took another swig of his beer and stared at the wall. Dean went to the fridge and pulled out some left over bacon that was cooked that morning. He put the plate in front of him and his father at the table as he came and sat opposite him. “Stop staring at the wall and look at me,” Dean demanded. John looked at the disappointment in his sons eyes. “Feeling sorry for yourself won’t bring her back.”

Now he saw something in John that he had never let him see before. It was weakness. “I remember that day,” Dean continued. “I remember that I defended you when you hurt her because I was scared that what you did would make her leave. I was selfish and I wanted her to stay so I tried to justify what happened.”

“Son-”

“I’m not finished,” Dean snapped. “What you did drove her away from our family… The only reason she came back was because she had nowhere else to go after she went home and found her moms dead body. If you didn’t send her away she would never had seen that.”

“You don’t think I know that!” John shouted which caught Dean by surprise. He sighed as he realised his anger had once again got the better of him. “Dean-” his voice was steady and low, “-the reason I did that to her was to protect her.”

“You hit her to protect her?” Dean demanded.

“I pushed her away to protect her,” John said as tears began to form in his eyes. “Before I slapped her I kept snapping at her and being nasty to her because I wanted her to leave so she could be safe. I knew that if I told her that she wouldn’t leave, and no matter how many times I shouted at her or was a complete dick to her she would just get upset… But she would stay. I had to do something that would finally make her leave; I had to make her think that I hated her so that she would hate me. If she stayed with us she would have continued to hunt and I wanted better for her.”

John wiped his tears away before drinking more of his beer. It was as if he thought the alcohol would soothe the sting, but it only made it worse. “I loved my baby,” he cried. “She was my only daughter and she made me proud every day. I’ll never get a chance to tell her that.”

Dean shook his head. He understood why John did what he did and he sympathised with him, but it didn’t matter. That wouldn’t bring you back. It wouldn’t fix anything. “She’s dead because you were too scared to love her.”

Dean didn’t plan on saying it, it was just a thought that popped into his head but he needed to get it out. Secrets were one of the reasons you ended your life, he didn’t want to keep them anymore.

John had no idea how to respond to Dean. How could someone reply to that? He was one of the causes of his daughters death because he was a coward. Dean didn’t even know what to think anymore. He needed to know more. He had one more bite of the bacon before he put the plate back in the fridge and headed back to his room.

They were still there when he got back. He didn’t know what he was expecting, but he was hoping that the tapes weren’t real and that you were still there in the bunker. When you moved in you told him that you wanted your room next to his so you could knock on the wall if you wanted to talk to each other.

He picked the tape player up, it felt colder than when he last held it. A chill shot down his spine as he thought about the tapes again and how they were all you left behind. Your voice played again in his ears.

“After you kicked me out, dad, I went back for my mom. I ran in to my house, crying my eyes out because of what you did. I wanted comfort from my mom,” you explained. “She was all I needed right at that moment because in my whole life she was all I ever had. But I never got to speak to her… I went into her room and found her covered in blood. She didn’t move… Or breathe… She did nothing.”

Your voice broke as you spoke about your mothers death and Dean closed his eyes at the thought. “And this, ladies and gentlemen, brings me to my second tape. And you know who you are when I say that on my next tape, we’re going to talk about the person that murdered my mother.”

Hey Jude

A/N: This is my really late submission for @percussiongirl2017 ‘s birthday challenge! Hopefully it was worth the wait. I had the prompt, “You can’t tell me how to live my life. You’re not my mother.” & my song is “Hey Jude” – The Beatles. The pairing is Dean x Sister!Reader however there is some Sam in there as well. The reader is the oldest sibling.

Dean x Sister!Reader   Sam x Sister!Reader

“Take care of Sam and Dean.”

That was your motto. You were eight years old when your mother died in the fire that turned your life upside down. You could remember the heat, the fear you felt, and how you had never gripped Dean’s hand or held onto Sammy so tightly then you did that night when you brought them out of the burning house.

Ever since then your father gave you one task, to take care of Sam and Dean. It wasn’t something that was foreign to you; it was something that you had loved helping your mother do. She had always lovingly referred to you as the mini mama because you enjoyed it so much.

So that’s what you did.

He Can’t Hurt You.

Summary- Reader is starting to hallucinate Lucifer, (basically like Sam) she keeps it a secret but her brothers find out.

Warnings- Swearing(I think idk).

A/N- It’s just something I thought of when I was watching reruns of SPN, I’m honestly really chuffed with it:)

Slowly opening your eyes you tensed up, somebody was in your room, you slowly reached your hand under your pillow and grasped the gun you had lying under it.

“I know you’re awake, Y/N” the voice spoke, “and a gun? Really? You think a gun would work on little old me? How adorable” he mocked. Rolling your eyes, you sat up and faced him with furrowed eyebrows, “who are you?” You asked quietly, he looked at you with fake hurt as he placed his hand over his heart, “you mean, Sammy hasn’t told you about me? I’m hurt” he spoke, then his eyes turned red causing you to shuffle back slightly.

Easter

Warnings: None
Characters: Sam & Dean Winchester, sister Winchester reader, Gabriel, Castiel, Balthazar, Rowena, Crowley, Lucifer
Summary: EASTER. EGG. HUNT.
Reader’s Age: 5-6 years old
Word count: 1040

Y/N: Your Name
Y/N/N: Your Nickname

A/N: My frens helped with all the ideas so if it seems all over the place that’s because I tried to fit all their ideas into one imagine. (And I didn’t even get them all) But basically everyone is friends in this world! Happy Easter and enjoy!

Waking up with a yawn you stretched as your eyes fluttered open. You looked around your room and saw pastel colors like pink, purple, yellow, and green covering the walls and furniture. You hopped out of bed and trotted over to a small, pink basket with some fake Easter grass covering the bottom of it.

“Easter…” you whispered to yourself. You grabbed the basket and scanned your room, searching for Easter eggs.

Your eyes finally landed on a small blue egg sitting on your bed frame. You ran over, grabbed the egg and set it in your basket.

You opened your door and peeked outside. Streamers decorated the halls. With a smile and a skip in your step, you headed towards the kitchen, picking up a few eggs here and there along the way.

Once you arrived in the kitchen you looked to the table to see a bunch of food. From ham to carrot cake to even butter shaped like a small lamb. Looking around the room you spotted a few Easter eggs.

Picking up what you assume to be the last egg in the kitchen you were startled by a voice that spoke from the corner. “Enjoying the hunt?” You turned around and saw Gabriel finishing a cookie.

“Yeah! I has so many eggs!” You raised your basket to show Gabriel.

“The Easter Bunny was pretty busy,” Gabriel commented. You smiled, grabbed a mini doughnut and headed out of the kitchen.

You padded down the hall into the War Room. You turned the corner to see the one and only, Lucifer. Of course, you didn’t know he was Satan, you only knew him as Luci. He had his feet propped up on the map table and a pair of pink bunny ears on his head.

“Welcome!” he greeted. “Have you found all the eggs yet?”

“Not yet. I have lots of rooms to go,” you responded as you searched the room. Luci unwrapped a piece of candy and plopped it in his mouth.

You made your way into the library where you saw Sam and Dean towards the back by the giant telescope. Sam was sitting down and Dean was leaning against the wall with his arms crossed. They both had small smiles as they watched you run around the room looking for eggs.

Once you were done looking for eggs you skipped over to your brothers and showed them your basket. “Lookie! I gots lots of eggs!”

“Wow, you’ve been busy,” Sam replied, giving you a soft tap on your shoulder.

“Where are your eggs?” you asked, looking back and forth between your brothers.

“We don’t have any eggs,” Sam responded.

“Oh…” you looked down at your eggs. “Here!” you handed an egg to Sam, then one to Dean. Sam and Dean both smiled.

“Thanks, Y/N/N,” Dean chuckled and ruffled your hair.

“Happy Easter!” a new voice spoke. You all turned your attention to the man standing in the library, Balthazar. “This is for you,” Balthazar handed you a bottle of wine.

Your eyebrows furrowed together as you stared at the wine. As soon as it was in your hands, it was snatched away, you turned around and saw Sam holding the wine with a disapproving face.

“What are you doing? That’s hers,” Balthazar pointed to you.

“She’s five,” Sam argued.

“And when she’s whatever age that bottle of wine better still be here for her.” Balthazar made his point clear.

Balthazar turned around to see Luci standing behind him trying to put bunny ears on him. “What are you doing?” Balthazar backed away.

“You need to get in the Easter spirit,” Luci continued to try and put bunny ears on Balthazar.

“Stop that,” Balthazar pushed Luci’s hand away, earning a giggle from you.

You took two eggs out of your basket and walked over to the angels. You put one in Luci’s hand and the other in Balthazar’s. They both smiled at you and Luci opened his egg.

“Did you forget about me?” Gabriel entered the room. You laughed and grabbed an egg then ran over to Gabe. You handed Gabe the egg and ran back over to your brothers.

“My, oh, my, doesn’t this place look beautiful!” a Scottish voice made its presence known. You turned around and saw Rowena admiring the decorations and Crowley was standing next to her.

“Oh! Dear, what are you still doing in your pajamas? Come, let’s get you in something different.” Rowena held out her hand. You grabbed two eggs and handed one to Crowley who gladly accepted the egg with a small head nod and handed the other to Rowena. You and Rowena then headed to your room.

Rowena dressed you in a pretty, yellow sundress. She curled your hair before taking strands from the front and pinning them back.

You two made your way back into the kitchen where everyone was gathered around the table that was covered with food. You walked over and sat next to Sam; Rowena sat on your other side.

“I feel like we’re missing someone…” Dean commented before sitting down.

“I believe that would be me,” Castiel spoke from behind you. You turned around and jumped out of your seat.

“What are you holding, Cas?” Sam noticed Castiel holding something inside his trench coat.

“A present for Y/N,” Castiel took his hands out of his coat to reveal a small, adorable, fuzzy bunny. You gasped and ran over to him. “Now remember, bunnies are a lot of work, you have to take care of it.”

“Cas, I thought we talked about this. Don’t get her a gift that requires work!” Dean stood up.

“Can we keep it?” you took the bunny from Cas and stared at your brothers with big puppy dog eyes.

“C'mon, Dean. You won’t let her have a dog, you’re allergic to cats, let her at least keep the bunny.” Sam tried to convince his brother.

Dean thought for a moment, staring down at your pleading face; he was already a goner. “Fine,” Dean huffed and threw his arms up, clearly upset he lost this battle.

“YAY!” you cheered and snuggled the rabbit in your arms.

“To Easter,” Crowley raised a glass.

“To Easter!” Everyone said simultaneously, raising their glasses.

I hope y’all like this one and I’m open for tips on improving!

The Truth Comes Out

Summary: The reader’s quiet night at home is interrupted when Dean shows up looking bruised and bloody.

Pairing: Dean x Reader

Word Count: 2,352

“Thank god I live alone.” You grumble to yourself, thankful no one’s around to witness your behavior. You’re lazily sitting on your kitchen counter in a ridiculous onesie stuffing your face.

You twist open an Oreo, put a scoop of chocolate ice cream then add whipped cream and chocolate syrup. While singing along to the radio, you smoosh the Oreo back together and shove it into your mouth.

You’re really baffled as to why you’re not married yet. Your boyfriend would be crazy to not lock down all of this sexiness. Realizing it’s almost time for a new episode of Scandal, you make way towards the couch.

You freeze when you hear someone fumbling with the lock on your door. This is just fucking perfect. A creep is breaking into your apartment and on top of it, you’re gonna die wearing a onesie.

Super Big Brother- [edited]

Characters/Pairing: Daddy!Dean x Pregnant!Reader, Henry (OC)

Word count: 885

Warnings: Fluff, lots of it, maybe the slightest pinch of angst

Summary: It’s Dean and the reader’s second child. They have to tell their first what is going on. (Promp #44 of “60+ Dean x Pregnant!reader Prompts”@deanwinchesterxreader )

A/N: This is another editions from my personal collection, the reason I’m re-doing these is because of the babby fever taking over me, and the best way not to give in to it is writing about it, or in this case edit an old fic.

Super Big Brother

“Ok then,” you sigh and Dean nods rapidly as he speaks. “We’ll go straight to the point. We need to be direct with him, he’s a big boy.”

“Yeah,” you agree a little out of breath. “He can take it, right?” Dean eyes widen in doubt and your shoulders drop. “What if he can’t take it? Oh my goodness, he’s still a baby. My baby. This is all a mistake.”

You start to hyperventilate, Dean’s quick to rub your arms up and down. “Look at me,” he says in a sweet voice, you comply. “Is gonna be fine, he’s gonna be fine.” He bites his lower lip and you wonder how did you get so lucky.

“Okay, we’re telling him and we’ll answer any question he has.” Taking a deep breath you look back into Dean’s eyes. “What kind of questions can a three year-old make, huh?”

Dean shrugs, his arms let go of you and he pushes away from the kitchen table he’d been leaning on. You follow his lead and start walking behind him out the kitchen and down the hall.

“Wait!” you shout and run back to the kitchen, Dean stands in the middle of the corridor dumbfounded.

“Uh, sweetheart?” Dean takes a few steps your way when you rush out the door almost bumping into him, sippy cup with chocolate milk in one hand, a plate with some homemade oatmeal cookies in the other.

“Let’s go.” You nod ahead for him to lead the way one more time.

Dean’s eyes on the plate and he goes for one of the cookies. He groans when you smack his hand away away. “They’re not for you! You can have one later, I made a whole tray today.”

Dean grins like a three year-old and you roll your eyes.

post 12.15: where’s the angel? (wrote this weeks ago, but still relevant) thanks to my amazing beta reader @tinkdw <3 [487 words]

“Cas isn’t picking up.”
“Dean,” Sam says, in an exasperated tone.
“Don’t Dean me, Sam! He’s been away for days, and we got zero updates from him!”
“Well, he got a new lead on Kelly, right? He’s probably busy with that.”
“I’m not even sure there is a new lead on Kelly,” Dean sighs, nervously pacing across the motel room they’re staying in. “There was something wrong, last time we spoke to him. I should have asked.”

Can we talk about Cas making Dean’s life healthier? Like, taking away his whiskey glass and pressing a bottle of water in Dean’s hand instead? Ordering Dean a salad to his burger while Dean grumbles but does it anyway because it puts a soft smile on Cas’ face? Cas making sure Dean gets a little more than his average hours of sleep just by lying there, beside him?

Just… Cas taking care of Dean’s wellbeing in small but meaningful ways:)

Kill Zone - Part 2: Kill Shot

Characters: Reader (Special Agent Y/N Singer), Sam Winchester, Special Agent Castiel Novak,  Dean Winchester, Cindy Stevenson (OC), Ella McKenzie (OC),

Pairing: AU Dean x Reader (eventually)

Warnings: Guns, talk of murder, talk of character deaths, Dean is a being an ass, Cas is being a jerk,

Word Count: 4400ish

A/N: This is a serial killer AU of sorts. Not the typical kind, but it has all the deaths and violence this kinda AU bring with it. It was sorta inspired by Criminal Minds and that is why my agents are profilers.

This series will have deaths, violence, love, heartwarming moments and everything in between. I am hereby warning you for yet another rollercoaster ride led by me ;)

Thanks to the amazing @percywinchester27 for being my advisor and beta on this one.

You were absently rubbing your wrist as you stared towards the house. You hadn’t wanted to leave but Sam had insisted, and Cas had practically dragged you out of there.

“Are you okay?” Cas asked, nodding towards your arm, as you looked up with a confused expression on your face.

“Yeah…” you pulled up your sleeve, showing Cas your arm with a smile, “See, no bruises. Just a little sore. That’s all.”

Cas wasn’t convinced till he had taken a good look at your arm himself, letting out a relieved sigh once he had, “I’m sorry Y/N. I should have warned you. Dean has a bit of a temper.”

“I noticed,” you replied wryly, looking back towards the house with the two Winchesters still inside. “What happened between the two of you? I mean Sam knew you, but he didn’t seem angry with you. Dean on the other hand…”

You looked up at Cas, who was no longer looking at you. His eyes rested on Dean’s cabin, but his mind seemed to be far away. “It’s a long story Y/N, and not really mine to tell,” Cas answered, making you even more curious.

You tilted your head slightly, carefully studying Cas’ expression before speaking again, “You’re friends. You are mad at him right now, but you still consider him a friend.”

Request: Blood or Not

Request: Can I get an imagine where Dean and Sam are on a hunt with their friend, who’s like a sister to them, and Castiel’s soulmate? She goes to fight something that went after a baby and destroys it because when she was younger she lost her baby sister?

Word Count: 1,013

“Y/N, you need to be rational about this.” Dean attempts, watching as you stuff yet another gun into your trusty knapsack. You only glare at him in response, eyes boring holds of pure heat into him – and not in a good way. He’s never seen you like this – it’s frightening. For someone who usually provides so much joy and light, you’re terrifying when you’re on a mission.

“Rational? Rational?” You flip the flap over and haul it onto your back, “Rational went out of the window the second we established that a baby was a target here. A baby, Dean! How are you still sat on your ass?!”

Sam, who is intelligently sat on the bed in the corner, visibly flinches. Good. Let him flinch – let him be afraid. Let them both see how deadly serious you are about this, because any form of play disappeared from the chess game a long time ago. Too long – it could already be too late, for all you know.

“Y/N, sit down. This… thing, it’s been going after people for a long time. It’s good at it. We need a plan before we go charging in there.” A special cult of vampires, travelling from town to town, prizing the blood of the young and innocent over any other. They don’t get a look-in most of the time, but here… it’s a given. They’ve wormed their way into the social care system, and it’s only a matter of time.

“I don’t give a shit!” You explode, having to resist going for the gun at your side, “We’ve taken out bigger and badder things with less planning. We don’t have the time, Dean. Sam, you have to agree with me.”

Sam lifts his head, but only to give you an apologetic shake of the head. If you’d been even slightly less human than you are, you’d have growled.

“I can’t believe- you know what, it doesn’t matter. I’m leaving. Call me when the two of you have managed to grow a pair.” You turn on your heel, and make it all of three steps towards the door before bouncing straight off something as hard and steady as stone.

“Y/N? What is the problem? I could feel your distress.” He says softly, hands coming to rest of your shoulders. Despite the calm he always offers, you can still feel your heart racing and stomach twisting – you’d accepted the bond between the two of you just a few months ago, meaning that him being there and so close combined with all of the emotion and turmoil of the situation…

Of all the stupid, annoying, embarrassing things, your stupid human brain doesn’t know how to do anything but burst into tears. Completely overwhelmed by everything, you crumple into his chest, tears already building up and flooding over in protest of it all.

Before you know it, you’re bundled into his arms, the warm glow of his protection quickly enfolding you in comfort – both of you know how dangerous and volatile the bond can be, and you’re slowly adjusting, but with every hardship you learn that it’s worth it. Even when he does get… grumpy, whenever you’re less than smiling.

What did you say to her?” Cas snarls, still holding you close. Dean holds fast, though seeing one of his best friends as terrifying as that… to his credit, he waits until Cas’ gaze moves back to you before he flinches.

“We… realised that the cult’s victims are children; that the random killings were just to throw us off.” Sam says softly, ever the diffuser, “Y/N… wanted to go straight away. We thought that we needed a plan.”

Something sparks in Cas’ eyes. Both brothers see it – and you feel it, through something deeper and more innate. Before you can lift your head to comment, the motel room has fallen away from beneath your feet and you’re… in a brightly lit park. Children play, parents talk idly, but none of them so much as look at the pair of you.

Cas pulls back then, wiping away the tears from your face and searching your eyes for a few moments, “This is about your sister.”

You nod.

“Sam and Dean don’t know about her.”

A shake. You hadn’t wanted to tell them – not when they had their own sibling-related issues, and certainly not when you didn’t feel like you could talk about it without falling into a thousand pieces, yourself, even all these years later.

“Y/N, you don’t have to hide it. You did nothing wrong,” His voice is low and soothing, like the soft warmth of a blanket by a fire after a snowstorm, “You have nothing to be ashamed of. We all bear our scars – Sam and Dean are family. They aren’t going to judge you.”

“I know.” You wipe at your eyes, unable to meet his azure gaze, “But… I just didn’t want to talk about it. She should be here, she should be alive. But she isn’t. And this is the least I can do to make up for that.”

Cas pauses, then nods, reaching down and taking one of your hands in both of his, soft and steady, “Alright. You and I, we’ll go together. How is that?”

There isn’t another option but to nod: you can’t take the hunt alone, and you certainly aren’t going to go with Sam and Dean now. Plus, what better than time spent with your soulmate? Even hunting time is better than no time.

***

The hunt went smoothly – even when you slip back into the motel room, hidden under Cas’ celestial cloak of silence, and slide into bed, the panic and flood of emotions has ebbed away. You’re exhausted, and by the time Cas has draped his coat over you and taken a seat next to you in order to watch over you – a position he’s taken up most nights, over the past few months – you’re knocked out.

Even so, he watches over you – and the boys. Because you’re family. And family, blood or not, doesn’t give up on each other.

Off Limits - Part 2

Pairing: Dean x Reader

Word Count: 2,377

Summary: Sam tells Dean that the reader is off limits. Dean’s never been one to follow the rules…

Part 1

“You’ve got to be kidding me.” Sam grumbles loudly slamming his beer down onto the bar.

Dean doesn’t say a word in response, instead he just flashes his million dollar smile before downing the rest of his drink.

“I will literally kick your ass, man.” Sam narrows his eyes towards his older brother, throwing him off.

“Whoa. You’re really worried aren’t you?”

“No, Dean. I’m just fucking bored. I figured this would fill my day.” Sam snaps feeling aggravated.

I’ll Never Forgive You For This

Sam’s greeting when he entered the cabin was a face full of Borax and holy water, followed by a nice cut on the arm from a knife.

Dean nodded, satisfied with himself, “My turn. Come on, let’s go.”

He held out the bottles to Sam, who just shook his head, “I don’t need to. I know it’s you.”

“Damn it, Sammy! Come on!”

“No, Dean. Can I just say hello?” When Sam still didn’t take it, Dean splashed himself and cuts his own arm, before proudly smiling at Sam.

“Well, let’s do this. Come here.”

The two brothers tightly embrace and Sam can’t help the smile that graced his face, despite everything that had happened in the past year, “Dude. You’re… freakin’ alive. I mean, what the hell happened?”

“Well, I guess standing too close to exploding Dick sends your ass straight to Purgatory.”

Sam is shocked, and his face fell, “You were in Purgatory? For the whole year?”

“Yeah, time flies when you’re running for your life.” Sam can tell Dean clearly didn’t want to talk about it, but he had so many questions. “But we can talk about that later. What’s going on here? Where’s Y/n? Do you know that half your numbers are out of service? Felt like I was leaving messages in the wind.”

Sam hesitated and stayed standing when Dean sat down. Here comes the part he’d been dreading since he found out Dean was back. “Yeah, I-I-I didn’t get your messages.”

Dean’s confusion was clear and for a moment he was distracted from the fact that Sam hadn’t answered his most important question, “How come?

“Probably because I ditched the phones.”

“Because…?”

“I guess, um… I guess something happened to me this year, too. I don’t hunt anymore.”

Dean’s head shot up and his anger and confusion were evident. “What the hell do you mean you quit? And again, where’s Y/n? Why isn’t she here with you?”

“Yeah. Yeah, I – you were gone… Dean. Cass was gone, Bobby was dead. I mean, Crowley even shipped off Kevin and Meg to parts unknown.” Sam ran a hand through his hair. “I was sick of losing people to his life, I just, I wanted out. Y/n didn’t. She was set on saving you.”

Dean’s face went stoic and he stood up from the table so fast his chair fell back over. “Sam,” his tone was stern and threatening.

Seriously though, it’s a result of a post from @impala-dreamer, I yelled at her for it and then she was a terrible influence and encouraged these shenanigans by talking to me about it (oh yeah she beta’d it too because she’s an angel). I hope you guys like it!

“I got nothin’ Sammy. Y/N?”

“Y/N!”

“It’s…I’m fine. Just knocked the wind outta me. Babe, I’m ok really.”

“Ok well maybe she didn’t do anything? Maybe she just said stuff for the poof.”

“Sure Dean. Because stuff like that always happens to us. She was looking at us, Y/N was behind her so most likely if any of us are cursed it’ll be either me or you.”

Sam wasn’t looking at Dean while he spoke. He was checking you over to see if you were hurt. It was sweet. Sweet, and so annoying.

“Hey I’m fine. Let’s just get back motel and figure out our next move.”

“She’s right, Dean you want to pull the car up and I’ll help Y/N out?”

How It Is Now - Part One

Request: @rose4958  Can you do a second part to ‘Teen Sam x teen reader’ where they are older and run into each other (Maybe just maybe the reader had gotten pregnant the last time they saw each other, before Sam left for good) and they still love each other, maybe they end up together. I also love your writing and thanks

This is a follow up to How It Was Before (read it first).

Sam x Female Reader

Summary: After twelve years you and Sam have a chance meeting that changes everything. Part 1 of 2(or 3).

Your name: submit What is this?

“Y/N”

Sam Winchester. You know his voice in a heartbeat, even after all these years since last hearing your name on his lips, it brings back a flood of memories long pushed to the deep recesses of your brain.

It’s not that you don’t think of him, but when you do it’s a shadow of a recollection, fuzzy around the edges. You wonder sometimes what’s real and what your brain just fills in to make things whole. For a long time, you turned every moment you spent together into painful memories. They were sharp little triggers that cut right to the quick every time. Even the sweet and good moments morphed into something agonizing.

But the pain faded long ago and perhaps you put on rose colored glasses when you think of him now. The two of you were just kids and that’s how you choose to recall him now, as lovely, gentle Sam who was always in awe of you.

A giggle fell from your lips as you stumbled slightly. Two hands prevented you from falling, something you were grateful. You pressed your lips hungrily against the hot stranger before you, closing the door behind him.

“You’re so hot.” He mumbled as his lips traveled down to your neck.

“Shut up.” You groaned, panting slightly.

Your hands traveled under his shirt, feeling up his toned abdomen. He pulled back to the shirt off, throwing it somewhere in the small motel room. You quickly did the same.

He pushed you down on to the bed. The mattress creaked as he crawled on top of you, his lips returning to their place on his neck.

Your moans filled the quiet room, your hands tangling in the stranger’s hair as he kissed down your chest. His hands fumbled with your pants before he pulled them down in a swift motion.

“Hey Y/N, can we talk?” Dean asked as he opened the room’s door. “Holy shit.”
