and asking for sam's help to save him but not in so many words

They tell the story around campfires. In great halls. In kitchens. And in taverns. In the skies, on the desert plains, and in the howling mountains. They tell the stories to little girls and little boys. They tell the stories to future kings and queens. They tell the story of a ragtag band of misfits, mercenaries, thieves, and assassins. Of royal born and street urchins who fought side by side. They tell the story of the Queen who was promised.

They tell the legend of a mystical queen who could burn the world with her flames. Who had scars on her back and hands from her time as a slave. Who lived a double life as an assassin but came back for her people. Who banished the dark queen and brought back the light.

They tell the story of a long-awaited king who had powers the likes of which had not been seen for over a decade. Who defeated his predecessor and saved his subjects. Who was just and merciful and who had a penchant for knowledge. Who had once worn a collar around his neck and who had a phantom haunt him from the moment it came off.

They tell the story of a rejected lord who was once a guard. Who was the most loyal friend a man could ask for. Who believed in right and wrong. Who went on the run but stayed to help the people. Who went to the south unable to walk and returned with an army.

They tell the story of a warrior prince who was the fiercest in all the lands. Who once was the lackey of the dark queen but was the first to leave her side. Who had ice and wind running through his veins. And who wore the story of his shame for all the world to see.

They tell the story of a deadly queen who drank the blood of men. Who was spared by her enemy and waged war against her family. Who guided her people to peace and into a new age. And who united two races who wared for over a century.

They tell the stories of the women. Beauties and fighters. One who could change her skin like some put on a different outfit. One who always aimed her arrow straight and true. One who was saved by a queen in an alleyway and in turn saved another and then another and then another. One who was a beacon for her people from the moment she was born until the moment her life was snuffed out. One who ended the suffering of many and who saved thousands. One who trecked across the continent to find her lost queen and never gave up hope. And one who gave her life for a better world.

They tell the stories of the men. Legends and tall tales. Men who were the fiercest warriors in all the lands. Who once served the dark queen but left her for a brighter flame. A man who let the world think the worst of him, but always stood by his family. A man who rode the skies like some men walk the earth. A man who gave his life and heart for a woman he never indeed knew. But loved none the less.

They tell the stories of these men and women. These kings and queens. These gods and goddesses. They whisper them as the candlesticks melt into nothing. They chant them as rain stomps on the roofs. They murmur them on days when the winds are so loud they rattle the worlds. They recount them on nights when the snow is so thick you can’t even see your hand in front of you. They recite these stories on the killing fields bathed in blood. They quote these stories in books and by word of mouth to anyone who will listen. They hiss these stories in lands whose names have been forgotten. They proclaim these stories to their children and their children and their children. They remember the stories of Aelin Ashryver Galathynius and the sacrifices she made until night descends upon the realms.

Summary: Peter Parker goes on a mission to bring back the Winter Solider, but ends up getting beat up really badly. As he’s passing out he calls out for his girlfriend, asking Steve to call her. Everyone is surprised since they had no idea Peter was dating anyone. Fluff, teasing and a little revenge ensues :)
Not really a request…I found this post and was just so inspired!
Warnings: violence, mention of blood, swearing…and a little long. Sorry not sorry lol

It all started with that damn red notebook.

“We should’ve destroyed it.” Steve said, barely able to look up from the table top.
“You should’ve kept Bucky asleep in Wakanda.” Tony said roughly, spitting out Bucky’s name. He may have forgiven Steve for their fight during the Accords, but he was far from forgiving Bucky for killing his parents.
“We should’ve known it wouldn’t be safe with SHIELD. Those guys are always having their headquarters either broken into or blown up.” Sam shot back, trying to keep the peace but catering to everyone’s shared distaste for the spy organization.

1:34am

Your nightmare clawed at your eyelids, your nails were digging into the sheet on the bed that had been pulled from the top corners of your mattress. A light layer of sweat lay on your skin, dampening the hairline on the base of your skull. It took everything in you to wake yourself up. An ear-piercing scream erupted from your chest and broke out of your dry lips, scratching at your throat. You’d feel it later on, no doubt. You always did.

Your body quickly shot up, your breath caught in your throat. As you looked around, you found yourself safe and in your room - not in the torture chamber you had been kept in for most of your teenage years. The memories plagued your thoughts day in and day out. When it was time to sleep, that’s when the demons came to play the most.

It was hard accepting Tony’s offer for you to live in the Avenger’s compound. It wasn’t something you were used to. In the base Hydra kept you in, you had to stay in a broom closet, so it seemed, it was way too small. You were locked away like a prisoner of sorts, used for testing – like a lab rat.

Eventually, you knew you had no other choice. They wouldn’t let you become homeless, and now that you had been rescued, keeping you safe was their priority. Hydra was still out there. Everyone was easy to talk to, but more often than not, you chose to stay quiet or to yourself.

Your feet padded down the chilly hallway as you made your way to the elevator. You knew sleep wasn’t going to be on the agenda now. Something tugged at your gut and you just needed to get out of your room. It’s like you could feel the demons staring at you, ready to pull you under and drown you again. Taking the elevator a few floors down, you exited and walked into the living quarters. You were slow-moving, slightly swaying on your feet as exhaustion swirled around your head.

To your surprise, you weren’t alone. You looked up at Bucky and met his blue eyes as he sat still in the recliner; eerily still, like if he moved, his demons would pounce on him. The lamp on the other side of the room was on, illuminating enough light to see the details on his face.

It was covered in sweat and his eyes were bloodshot, the underside decorated with dark circles. You knew he had nightmares and that they were the very reason he’s awake at such an unholy hour. Countless times you’ve heard his painful screams on the floor above yours.

Steve had introduced the two of you when you arrived and he was just as quiet as you had been. There were walls built up and a sort of fear of being around anyone. He had simply shook your hand, muttering a small hello while keeping his metal hand out of the way. His past with Hydra was no secret to you.

Taking a seat on the couch opposite of him, you sat in the middle with your knees pulled to your chest. You hugged them close and kept your eyes on your feet. As you sat, you could hear Bucky’s breathing slow down. It was heavy and labored when you entered, and you found that yours had slowed as well. Being in the same room as someone that had been through much of the same thing as you, comforted you in some twisted way.

Neither of you spoke, neither of you moved from your spots, neither of you dared to close your eyes long enough to be drug back down.

3:41am, one week later

It was as if lava had been poured on your skin. You were burning, screaming as loud as you could with no voice, the demons clawed and grinned devilishly as they ripped you to shreds. Only when you shot up in your bed once again, was your voice found, a loud scream echoing throughout your room. Your chest heaved and your fingernails nearly ripped through your sheets, the soreness evident as you relaxed them.

You sat for a moment, taking in your surroundings. Suddenly being in your room felt foreign and unsafe. You took the elevator down to the living quarters again, keeping your eyes on your feet. You took your usual spot on the couch after switching on the lamp, pulling your knees into your chest. Your eyes looked for Bucky, but he wasn’t to be seen.

Your thoughts were loud as you sat alone. Your body was still slightly shaking and you couldn’t ignore the images that circled around your mind, until the faint sound of heavy breathing sounded through the room. Your head snapped up and your eyes landed on a rather shaken up Bucky. His chest was glistening with sweat, his hair matted slightly.

The feeling of comfort washed over you and you sighed softly, watching him take his seat in the recliner again. His eyes remained on the ground as he leaned forward, his hands clasped together with his elbows on his knees. His hair fell around his face and you didn’t want to stare at him any longer, but just as you were about to look away, he glanced up at you through his lashes. No words were spoken, only a short glance of eye contact was shared.

Until the morning sun rose, you two remained still and quiet.

2:17am two days later

You hadn’t slept. You stayed awake and wondered about Bucky. The past few nights, you both stayed in the living quarters, silent and un-moving after nightmares brought you both out of a deep sleep. It was calming, but something made you want more, in a non-creepy way. You wanted to help him, but you couldn’t even help yourself.

What happened to you both, haunted you two to the point where closing your eyes even to blink seemed like a horrible task. It made you nauseous. You wanted to speak to him, but you could never find your voice. Especially after so many nights of waking up from your own screaming.

You sighed and sat up in your bed, feeling like you were going to suffocate in this room if you stayed in it any longer. Slipping out of your door, you made your way to the elevator. It arrived at the living quarters once again. Your hugged your arms around yourself as you walked into the room. Out of reflex your eyes went to the recliner. It was empty. You sank into yourself.

You turned towards the couch and was shocked to see Bucky sitting on the side, his eyes on his hands in his lap. He looked like he was deep in thought, and you hadn’t heard his screams all night. You weren’t sure if you should sit in your usual spot – the change in seating was odd – so you made your way over to the recliner.

You heard a faint whimper come from Bucky before you could sit down. It sounded desperate and broken; it made your heart sink in your chest. You turned to look at him and his eyebrows were creased, his hair framed his face and his eyes were staring right at you. Did he want you to sit beside him? You bit your lip nervously as you stood there, unsure of your next move.

Taking any ounce of courage you could muster, you cautiously walked over to the couch and sat down in the middle. Bucky didn’t move and neither did you. You weren’t close enough to make skin contact, but you were close enough to feel the body heat radiating off of him. His breathing eventually slowed and you felt yourself starting to fall into that wave of comfort. You felt safe and you only hoped he felt the same way.

3:03am one week later

The closeness between you and Bucky felt natural. Many times you’ve found yourself wanting to hear his thoughts, to ask him if he’s okay, what his nightmares are about, and if he felt any relief with you beside him, like you felt. But you were scared that that itself was a dream, as well. If you spoke, he’d disappear – all of it would disappear and you’d wake up in the torture chamber.

Your body felt drained of it’s energy tonight. Your nightmares only seemed to get worse. Your throat throbbed from your screams. It lasted longer and you managed to rip your sheets up this time. It’s the worst nightmare you’ve had, and that’s saying a lot. You were taken prisoner again, but you weren’t alone. Bucky was there, tied up and tortured like you had been. You screamed out and tried to save him, you did everything you could yet nothing at all to get them to stop. You couldn’t move, you were bound to that damned chair, needles poking into your skin, injected with anything they came up with.

You entered the room and avoided looking at Bucky. You knew you’d break at any moment. Crying wasn’t something you did, or even wanted to do. It was a sign of weakness, you had been told. You cried nearly every day during the time Hydra had you. Until one night, you became numb and accepted your fate.

Bucky was exhausted, like he always was. You heard his screams moments after you woke up. When they stopped, you knew he was making his way here. His eyes followed your body as you sat down on the couch. Your hands rest either side of you on the cushion, your legs hanging off the edge.

Your breathing was ragged and you could see Bucky’s head slightly turn, his blue eyes looking down at you with a hint of worry. You kept your eyes straight ahead, trying to keep your tears inside.

Bucky watched your lip tremble and your eyes water, the rise and fall of your chest hiccuping in motion while you struggled to hold it together. Your eyebrows creased as the images and screams flashed through your mind. The look in Bucky’s eyes in your nightmare caused you to finally break. A sob fell from your lips. The sound shot through Bucky and he looked away slowly, biting his tongue. His heart broke at the sight and sound of you breaking.

Your right hand had formed a fist and you felt a touch of metal bump against the side of it. You gasped and looked down, seeing Bucky’s hand resting palm down like yours had been. His pinky nudged your hand and you sniffled, blinking away tears as you un-clenched your fist. Both of your movements were slow and you let his hand rest on top of yours. The cool metal was nice against your heated skin. You knew how hard this was for him, but both of you needed it. He knew that.

Flipping your hand over underneath his, you watched him link your fingers together. You took a brave glance at him and looked into his blue eyes. During your crying, he had shed a few tears himself. Pain crossed his features as he held onto your hand. His metal arm was something you knew he struggled with. It wasn’t something he wanted. Neither of you had a choice in your past.

As time passed by, he relaxed into your touch and you did the same, gently tightening your hold on him. His metal thumb slightly caressed your skin. All through the night, you held onto his hand and listened to his deep breaths.

1:47am, three days later

Holding hands had become the new “normal” for you and Bucky when you two sat in the living quarters. It’s not intimate, or if it was, it was only a slim percentage. Gentle human contact was something you had been without for most of your life – you figured the same for Bucky. Only tonight, you knew for sure he would need more contact. His screams jolted you awake. For the first time, your nightmares hadn’t been the thing that woke you up, or your own screams.

He was screaming continuously and your body moved before you could think. You ran towards your door, but stopped upon hearing something you never would’ve guessed he would yell. ”Y/N!” He was screaming your name. Your hands trembled and for a moment, you couldn’t move at all. You were stuck and planted, unable to move as you listened to Bucky scream for you.

In the short time you’d spent together in silence, a bond had formed. You felt it, you knew he did, too. When he appeared in your nightmares, you didn’t think you’d appear in his. But you were wrong.

A particularly loud scream jerked your body back in motion. You started running as fast as you could to the elevator, pressing his floor number. Luckily he was above you so you’d get there quicker. Your breathing was fast and heavy, your own nightmare still fresh. But you couldn’t think about that this time. Bucky was screaming for you and you knew tonight was the night you needed to focus on him, instead of the both of you.

You ran up to his door, the sounds of his screams louder than ever. You opened his door gently and peeked inside. He was writhing around, his metal arm gripping his pillow before throwing it across the room. You rushed over to his bed and leaned your knee on his mattress. “Bucky!” You whispered, not wanting to scare him. If you did, that metal hand wouldn’t be gripping his other pillow. He was screaming again and it hurt your eardrums but you had to do something.

Your hand reached out for his shoulder and you shook it. “Bucky, wake up!” Your voice was firmer and louder, it broke him out of his sleep and his breath hitched. He jolted up, nearly knocking you off of his bed. You backed away slowly, your hands shaking at your sides. He stared at you, not believing it was you. His eyes were wide and his chest rose and fell rapidly.

“I’m here.” You whispered, your bottom lip trembling again. A tear fell down your cheek as Bucky reached his hand out towards you, his fingers trembling. Taking a step forward, your hand slid into his. Before you could get onto his bed, Bucky pulled you into his broad chest. It was damp with sweat but you didn’t care.

His arms held you close as he sobbed into your shoulder. Your arms loosely rest around his neck, your bodies rocking back and forth. “I’m here.” You cried, tangling your hand into his long, damp, dark hair. He nodded against you, his own sobs hiccuping as his hands gripped onto your shirt, his arms nearly crushing you against him. You two stayed in each other’s arms, holding onto the other as if it were the only thing that helped, the only thing that kept the demons away.

Slowly but surely, your breathing started to calm and match in rhythm. For once in both your lives, you felt like everything would be okay; as long as you had each other to hold onto.

Dean didn’t follow her, too shocked at her words. He sat down on the edge of his bed thinking about what in the world would make her say such things. He just stared at the floor of his room. Her words ringing inside his brain as he tried to make sense of it. Of everything.

“I understand, Dean.”

“You and Sam need each other… But you don’t need me.”

“I’ve lost count of the promises you’ve broken.”

“What the hell?” he mumbled, massaging his temple. “What is she talking about?”

Dean remembered making only two promises to her in his lifetime. He promised to take care of her, and be there for her. This was the promise he made with everyone he ever cared about. Anyone who knew Dean knew that he would always be there for them when they needed help.

He knew from a young age not to make promises he couldn’t make. John lectured him for hours after he once promised a kid that they would save his mom. They lost the mom to the werewolf. His dad was livid- not only because they lost another life, but because he had given this kid hope. Ever since then, Dean didn’t make promises he couldn’t keep. And he was sure that Y/N knew he would never break a promise if he could help it. Not that she’s ever asked him to make any promises. There were only two cases where she had asked him to promise her something.

“Dean, look! I got a part in the play!” Y/N said excitedly, showing him the piece of paper with her name on it.

“Yea?” He peered over, flashing her a proud grin. “Good job, squirt!”

“You’re gonna come see it, right?”

“Of course!” He ruffled her hair before going back to his homework.

“Promise?”

“Promise,” he said, not even looking up from his math problem.

Dean swallowed thickly as he realized that he didn’t show up to her play, choosing to attend Sam’s spelling bee instead.

You and Sam looked around the hallway you were standing in; there was nothing special about it. Just a hallway of what appeared to be an empty factory. Glancing over at Sam, you nodded at each other, silently communicating that you should move.

The two of you were looking for Dean who had been taken by the djinn who fed off of fear. Sam had killed it a day ago but Dean never woke up, which led to where you are now; walking in Dean’s nightmare, trying to find him so that he could wake himself up.

You had just turned the corner when you heard a voice chuckling from what sounded below you. Sam heard it too because he glanced at you before walking to the railing to view what was going on below you.

Your eyes widened as you took in the scene; the dream’s version of you and Sam were each tied to a chair while Dean stood five feet in front of you. A man, a demon with black eyes showing, stood off to the side a few feet away.

“The hell?” You heard Sam say next to you.

“What is going-” You began but stopped when you heard the demon begin to speak.

“Alright Dean, choose. Do you want to save your brother, the one you raised and spent your entire life looking after.” The demon paused, “Or your little half sister who you didn’t even know about until the apocalypse? Your choice.” He said while handing Dean a gun, “You better choose quickly, otherwise I might just kill them both.”

Say you love me - Dean Winchester x Reader x Jack

Title: Say you love me

Pairing: Dean Winchester x Reader, Jack x Reader

Warnings: Slight age gap with Dean

Imagine: Imagine getting closer to Jack as you two slowly form a bond and Dean not wanting you to get attached because he’s in love with you and is scared he’ll lose you too. Other than being a little jealous.

Come on, man. You know how this plays out.” Dean shook his head with a sigh, gripping the steering wheel tighter “Look, when we try to bend the rules, pretend that the bad guys aren’t so bad or that things will get fixed, that’s when people we care about get hurt and we-” the older man almost choked, stopping himself as he clenched his jaw. He glanced at you in the rare view mirror and took in a shaky breath. A sad frown formed on Sam’s face, a knowing sad smile there too, as he looked from his brother back at you staring out of the window with your headphones plugged in, completely oblivious to the words exchanged between the brothers.

Look, Dean, we probably can’t save everyone but we- we could at least try, you know? We are already doing the best we can and-”

Clearly not.” Dean cut his younger brother off with a growl and Sam raised an eyebrow at him but didn’t really have to ask when he saw you look at Jack with a sympathetic smile. You made a move to grab the blanket you always kept under the seat and unfolded it to lay it on top of the sleeping nephilim. A content sigh left his lips and he relaxed more as you tucked the blanket around him. You smiled as well and tucked a few strands of hair out of his face which made a small smile to form on Jack’s lips, even in his sleep.

Clearly not.” Dean repeated in a rough voice, clenching his jaw before pressing harder on the petal.

Until My Last Moment

Summary: Thanks to Bucky, during a game of truth or dare the reader is put into a compromising position..which may or may not lead to more fun positions with a certain super soldier later on.

Author’s note: Guys…SMUTT SO MUCH SMUTT! The reader also has a past with Wade Wilson..so this is kinda a dead pool imagine too? ( but not in the way you guys will think;)~ the reader also has powers!!)

Sam laughed, “ And that was how I lost my virginity..but if that story leaves this room y’all are cold”. The entire room laughed along with him, even though there was only five other people in it.

You all had been bored in between missions and decided to play a game of truth or dare. When alcohol was thrown into the equation, things got dirty real fast. Steve laughed, “ God after hearing that story I don’t think being a virgin is too bad”.

Bucky and Natasha threw you knowing glances, but the blush on your cheeks made things pretty obvious anyways. How could you not have a crush on the most well liked man in all of America?

Summary: Everything about Bucky Barnes drives you wild…that’s basically the plot…

Warnings: smut, sexual tension

A/N: I spent today writing my own mini thesaurus, by hand, and I came up with this idea during my breaks.

“Fuck!” Your back slammed down against the thick mat, air shoot out of your lungs.

“If you’re not paying close attention to your enemies you’re going to get yourself killed. What the hell has you so distracted?” Steve stretched a hand out, helping you up.

“N-Nothing.” You huffed, avoiding eye contact with the super soldier in front of you.

That was a lie, a big fat lie. You were completely distracted by the man across the room, the one with the glistening metal arm and the chocolate brown hair. Motherfucking Bucky Barnes.

“If I didn’t know any better, I’d say you were trying to kill me.”

You flushed the toilet, refusing to see the breakfast you had just thrown up.

“Who’s trying to kill you Y/N?”

Your kid is, you thought as you rested your head back against the tub and wiped your mouth on the nearest towel.

“What did you say?”

You whipped your head around, meeting Dean’s eyes in the mirror as you frantically tried to think if you really said it out loud. But his eyes were more amused than alarmed, so you mustn’t have. What a relief.

Sam Winchester was dead.

The two remaining Winchesters stayed silent as they drove back to the motel, their brother laying down in the backseat. They packed their stuff, planning to go to Bobby’s place. Y/N went to the bathroom before making the long trip, but once she came out, Dean was holding her duffel bag out to her.

“Leave,” he instructed. His voice cold and emotionless, and unlike anything she’s ever heard. No matter what, Dean always spoke to her in a gentle tone, even when training her. He’s never even raised his voice at her unless he was worried about her well-being. This wasn’t the older brother she knew, and honestly, she was scared. Her heart was beating twice as fast, and her palms were getting sweaty.

Her eyes widened, mouth agape. “D-Dee?”

“You need to leave.” Dean harshly glared at his younger sister, jaw clenched tightly.

“B-But why?” she whimpered, taking a step towards her older brother.

“Because I said so!”

“This isn’t you, Dean-”

“This was your fault. You messed up. You didn’t do enough research, and got Sam killed. You’re not cut out to be a hunter, and I can’t have you staying with us, and endangering our lives.”

“But, Dean-” His words cut deep. He knew how self-conscious she was about her abilities. She willingly sat out on hunts if she had the slightest inkling that she may not be able to perform her best. After all, when it comes to hunting, mistakes could be deadly.

“Leave!” he roared. He grabbed her elbow, pushing her out the door, and throwing her duffel bag at her feet. He slammed the door as she scrambled to get back on her feet.

“DEAN!” Y/N pounded at the door, shouting for him to let her in, tears streaming down her face. Finally, Dean came out. He didn’t even spare her a glance as he walked to the Impala. He ignored her pleas, following him to the car. She tried grabbing his arm, but he shook her off, finally pushing her to the ground as he went into his car. Y/N watched as he turned on the engine, and drove off.

The eldest Winchester clenched his jaw so tightly it was starting to ache. He didn’t dare look at his rear-view mirror, afraid his resolution would waver at the sight of his youngest sibling. This is what he had to do. He tried ignoring the tear that escaped his eye as he drove to the closest cross-road.

nothing else matters; 1.2k, coda for 13x01, dean is a sad bean

[AO3]

“We lost everything,” Dean snarls. His pulse is thundering underneath his jaw. “And now you’re gonna bring him back. You’re gonna bring back Cas, you’re gonna bring back Mom, you’re gonna bring ‘em all back – all of 'em. Even Crowley.

”'Cause after everything you’ve done… you owe us, you sonofabitch. So you get your ass down here, and you make this right. Right here. Right now.“

Dean sucks in a breath. He pauses for a second, but nothing happens – no thunderbolt, no flash of light, no voice in the distance. Swallowing hard, he glances at the sky, then turns and looks out across the lake. The water is pale blue and rippling softly. Dean sucks in another breath, and another. The stench from the restaurant’s dumpster crowds into his nose - rotting food and grease.

He slams his fist into the smiling pirate cut-out on the wall, again and again and again – until his knuckles split open and the wood splinters and snaps in half. He hurls the pieces over his shoulder and chokes down a thick, desperate noise. He wants – fuck. Fuck.

"Please.”

And he asked te question he needed to be answered more than anything “There’s no (Y/n) and Dean, they are just friends… aren’t they?

“Baby, what is it?” you frowned, tilting your head to the side “Why are you asking me all these questions now?”

“I just- I figured there were some things I wanted to hear from you, some things getting complicated with Dean… and his role, and Sam so I just… yeah.” he pursed his lips, frowning at himself when he realized that sounded so not convincing.

“Is it about Sam or… Jared?” you asked with a raised eyebrow and his frown only deepened.

“Jared?”

“Baby, if you still are jealous over the scenes we have I- I seriously don’t know what to say, now. I thought I’d done enough to show you how much I love you, I didn’t know you still doubted yourself so much about it.” you whispered “But- but if I have to say this all over again, every single day of my life then I will. Jens, you know he is my best friend, he is like a brother to me and quite honestly there is no man on this Earth that could ever make me feel the way I do about you. There is no man that I could love more than you, baby.”

“He’s… a great guy. He’s literally perfect.” he breathed out, not entirely meaning Jared but rather his own brother “I wouldn’t… really blame you.”

Save Yourself (Steve One-shot)

Characters: reader, Steve (Natasha, Bucky, and Sam mentioned)

Summary: After a disastrous mission and harsh romantic rejection, you find yourself in a downward spiral of destructive behavior until Steve steps in and shows you you’re worth saving.

Warnings: All the angst. Little bit of fluff. Mentions of death, sex, destructive behavior, suicide and self harm (mild), alcohol abuse.

Word Count: 2.4k (another failed drabble, ya’ll. I’m a wordy birdy)

Song Inspiration: Save Yourself by Kaleo

Y/N: Late night angst strikes again! I thought about this song and story all day at work. I’m still working on my multiple series, but needed a little change of pace. I’ve also been missing Steve lately. I was reminded of Chris Evans’ advice about his noisy brain so I included that. This got a lot darker than I anticipated. I have no idea how it’ll be received, so let me know your thoughts. I adore you all!! <3

p.s. Happy Birthday, Chris Evans!!! :)

Ding.

Wincing at the unusually loud noise, you exited the elevator and tiptoed barefoot down the hallway toward your room. Rounding the corner, you placed a hand to the side of your head, hoping the incessant pounding would subside soon. You snuck forward quietly, high heels dangled from your other hand with a clutch purse wedged under your arm. At least you remembered to grab your purse this time.

“Have a nice time last night?”

You cringed. Only ten feet away from your room, you heard the one voice you hoped not the hear coming from the one man you were avoiding. Straightening up from your sneaking position, you slowly turned toward the voice.

The Bronx

Requested by: Anonymous
(Here are the specifics)

Pairing: Reader x Peter Parker
Word Count: 3.6K
Warnings: Fighting, fluff

A/N: Set during CA:CW airport scene, so obviously some changes to canon to incorporate the reader. Reader’s powers look and act the same as the powers on The Last Airbender (the cartoon, not that movie. The movie was shit.) This was way longer than I expected, whoops.

The squeal of tires alerts everyone’s attention to the arrival of Captain America. You watch silently as Clint and the girl in the front, Wanda, both climb out of the van, and you wait patiently, and nervously, to be introduced.

Your view blocked by the mostly windowless van, you strain your ears to hear. But your leg is bouncing from all the nerves and excitement coursing through your body. You can’t make out words, only accents and voices.

It appears that one of the men in the blue Beetle was Captain America, or at least you think so. The foreign voice you hear, conversing with Clint and Wanda, is deep and calming. Just like you’d imagined the national heroes voice to sound.

You freeze as you hear Clint’s voice approach the van. You don’t notice that you were holding your breath until the van door slides open and bangs, forcing you to exhale with surprise. The man that had taken up the full front row of seat to sleep, Scott, jumps at the noise. This was it. You had to make a good impression. Sure Team Cap, as Scott was nicknaming your fellow van travellers, needed as many enhanced as they could get, but you’re sure that there wouldn’t be anything stopping them from making you wait in the car if you appeared too immature.

Request: Loved

Request: May I request Mary (season 12 reference) coming to the bunker with dean and meeting the reader (she is a relationship with dean and told his mother about her)? :)

Word count: 1,130

<3

“Dean?” Your voice is barely a breath as you answer the phone, escaping as a transparent cloud on the cool spring air. It can’t be him – Amara and the bomb and Chuck and Rowena and… all of the jumbled, clouded images flit through your head at once and then disappear completely as he speaks again.

“Yeah, it’s me. Y/N, where the hell are you? Were you with Sam?” He cuts to the chase, and you quickly pick up on the panic in his voice – you’d know it anywhere on Earth.

“No.” There’s more shame in the word than you’d like him to hear – it wasn’t that you’d abandoned them. It wasn’t at all. It was more that the goodbye with Dean had been too much for you to bear, and you needed a few hours to be alone with your thoughts. The world may have been saved, but yours had been irreparably shattered, “And I’m about a mile away from the bunker. Probably less.”

“Good. Sam’s gone, there’s blood, and- and-“ His voice sputters and dies, “I can explain when you get here. Can you just…?”

You don’t have to pause, “Give me a minute. Maybe five.” You tell him, and then he’s ended the call – and that’s how you know it’s him, not some sick perversion like it was last time or a cheap imitation: there’s no goodbye, no ‘see you soon’. That’s it, it’s a given that you’ll be there.

***

“Dean?” The door creaks and clanks as you haul it open, gun in one hand. You creep down the stairs, not quite knowing what threat to expect, if any. However, by the time he’s taken three steps out of the war room, you’re on him, throwing your arms around his neck as the gun clatters to the floor and his arms wrap you up, strong and safe, lifting your feet clean off the ground. Dean buries his face into your shoulder, vaguely reminiscent of the hug you’d last shared – except this one is joy and relief, where the other had been sorrow and fear.

“God, Y/N.” His breath is warm and face scratchy and he’s alive. The last thing in the universe that you want to do is pull away, but when you finally open your eyes and look over his shoulder, you’re startled into pulling back.

A blonde woman stands behind him, watching you both with a mixture of intense confusion and affectionate amusement. You look from her, to Dean, and then back to her – for one, she’s wearing your shirt, and for another, she looks familiar in a way you can’t place.

“Y/N,” His arm remains tight around your waist, although he does let you back down onto the floor, “Meet my mom, Mary. Mom, this is Y/N.”

She quirks an eyebrow, and for a split second you realise that the mannerism belongs to Dean – many of her features do, in fact. It’s only then do you recognise her as the woman from the photographs Dean never has out of arm’s reach.

“This is Y/N?” She asks, and Dean nods in confirmation, smiling proudly – like this is a moment he’d always wished for; to introduce his girlfriend to his mother. Mary takes a slow step forward, looking you up and down – not scrutinising, but examining. Wanting to familiarise herself with you.

“You mentioned me?” You glance up at Dean, but his mother cuts in before he can even think of an answer.

“Oh, you’re all he mentioned. I was starting to think I’d had another child I didn’t remember until he specified that you were his girlfriend,” She smiles, and you can’t help but laugh a little at that, “Oh, Y/N, you’ll love Y/N. She’s so beautiful and smart and funny and…”

“Mom!” Dean interrupts indignantly, his face flushed red. Both you and Mary manage a laugh at that, despite the situation at hand – but the confusion and anxiety soon cloud her features again, and you look between the two of them for a few moments.

“Dean, babe, have you tried calling Cas? He came back here with Sam, and if that’s an angel-banishing sigil I see over there, he definitely was here.” You offer, lifting up to kiss his cheek before withdrawing, “Mary, I feel like you could use a cup of tea… milk and extra honey?”

For just a moment, she hesitates, looking between the two of you – and then she nods, relief flooding her features – an excuse to avoid the stressful situation for a little while, and to get her out of Dean’s high expectations so she can take a few breaths. You couldn’t be happier for him, but you know as well as anyone that he can be a bit of an overexcited puppy every now and again.

***

“So… you’ve done this before?” She asks, heaping more honey into the tea. You nod, giving a small smile and sipping your drink slowly.

“Once or twice. Sam and Dean have too, but we all lost count a few times ago.” At the look of horror on her face, you reach over and rest your hand over hers – the idea of her sons dying and coming back must be awful to her. Especially when her own experience of it seems to be going less than smoothly for her, “They always seem to come back. Dean always used to say it’s because angels were watching over them.”

Mary’s eyes widen slightly at her own words being echoed back from the mouth of an outsider, but she doesn’t seem to have the words of her own.

“There isn’t a day goes by when he doesn’t think about you.” You tell her softly, giving a small smile, “Don’t take that as pressure. But take it to know that you’re loved here, and always have been. I get it, fitting back in can be awkward. But I’m here, and so are Sam and Dean. And if you need to be stupid and quiet and go and get our nails done or do something menial, I’m always up for a girls’ day out.”

Again, she only seems to stare at you, and you fear that you’ve overstepped the mark – after all, you’re practically a stranger to her. But, instead, after a few moments, a wide, warm smile spreads over her face and her eyes wrinkle in exactly the same way that Dean’s do.

“I get it.” She says softly, her eyes twinkling, “I understand completely… what he sees in you. Why he loves you so much. Why you love him.”

All of those thoughts you’d had, growing up, about meeting your boyfriend’s parents and trying to impress them… this couldn’t be further from that if it tried. But you wouldn’t change it for anything in the world.

The Arrangement

Grandpa Samuel is threatening to cut him off if he doesn’t straighten out and stop getting into trouble. Instead of taking some responsibility, Dean comes up with an ingenious plan: find someone to pretend to be his girlfriend. You and Dean have never gotten along, but a fake relationship seems to be beneficial to you both…

Pairing: AU Dean x Reader

Word Count: 2,700

Warnings: language, general rudeness (from Dean), mild angst?

A/N: so this is my new idea for a series! It’s all my brain will do right now. It’s a little rough right now, but I’m hoping you guys like it. Also the title is terrible but it’s all I could come up with.

Die for a Laugh - Dean Winchester x Reader

Title: Die for a Laugh

Pairing: Dean Winchester x Reader, Joker x Reader

Warnings: None

Prompt: Could do a Jared Leto joker imagine where Sam and Dean are on a hunt for the joker and he takes a certain liking to the reader, the pairing can be whatever you wish, thanks!

“This guy is a nutjob.” Dean mumbled as he ran a hand down his face “We are never going to catch him.”

You frowned as you walked towards him. You placed a hand on his shoulder and handed him a cold beer. He gave you a small smile, appreciating the fact that you still were there for him- them. Them. Not because Dean needed you so bad in his life, no. It was just because you cared so much about him and his brother and managed to fill all the holes in their life. Plus you were an amazing hunter even if your gentle, kind and almost innocent features didn’t give that away.

“No more so than us, though.” you said with a small smile and he and Sam chuckled.

“You mean no more so than you.” Sam pointed out and you gave him a look.

“Traitor.” you mumbled and Dean chuckled.

And you had an amazing friendship with his brother- hell you were like the little sister Sam always wanted to him. What more could he ask for?

“Because you couldn’t totally be his Harley Quinn huh?” Sam asked with a smirk and you shrugged.

Bitch, I Might Be

Summary: Classic Dean helps Reader sleep plot

Warnings: None

Word Count: 1084

A/N: So, I couldn’t sleep last night or tonight. I was all spazzy (just ask @kclaire1 who got a really confusing email from me… oops!) and I don’t know why, so I decided to just write about it! It’s only three weeks into the semester and I think I’m going crazy. I wonder how insane I’ll be by midterms or finals. Also I think this is a gender neutral reader! (Of course my brain isn’t working so I might have missed something)

It’s three o’ fucking clock in the morning and I’m cleaning the bunker’s kitchen. Why? No idea. I mean, Sam keeps it clean enough. The Winchesters aren’t slobs. Actually, they’re cleaner than I am. I’m the token dirty roommate in this trio.

Which brings me back to the question: Why the hell am I cleaning the kitchen at three a.m.?

Well, really, I should be asking the questions: Why the hell can’t I sleep? Where the hell did all of this energy come from?

A/N: This is my (way too late, I’m so sorry!) entry for @winchesters-favorite-girl One Year Celebration (the prompt is bolded). Katie, you’re the best big sister we could ask for and an inspiration to us all. I hope for many more great years with you <3

I’m here.

It didn’t even take you seconds to open the window and quietly climb through it. Relief flooded through you as you saw your dad standing there, leaning onto the black Impala, and he made some steps toward you. As soon as his arms were around you, engulfing you in a tight hug, the tears you’d been trying to hold back all day spilled over. Helplessly, he tried to shush you, rubbing his hand over the small of your back and kissing your hair.
