Another thing I have to say: I see some posts about how Dean is angry because it’s “easier”. Because PRETENDING to be angry is easier than showing how worried he is. And I feel like this is exactly what’s wrong with a big part of this fandom’s view on Dean. Acting like Dean doesn’t even have the right to be angry, like it’s all just pretence to hide how worried he is. But being worried doesn’t make being rightfully angry impossible. His anger is as real as his worry, but that seems to be something no one (just like the characters on the show - Sam, Mary, Cas) likes to acknowledge.
Dean should always just worry, like the eternal caretaker that he is. But heaven forbid that he might be angry at people for not bothering to consider his feelings. Then we quickly have to reduce Dean’s behavior to being only worried again. Otherwise he’s just a dick, right?
I mean, how dare he be angry for having his so called family, aka Cas in this instance, not even bothering to tell him where he is for weeks while there’s some unknown horrible fate waiting for him?
