and all that jazz :)

And he dreamt of his safe space.
With hazy eyes, soft hearts, dark souls.
A void of nothing where there was no
Such thing as overstimulation.
He dreamt of the empty abyss between
The blue-white stars that burned around him.
The taste of rum on his tongue
And the scent raspberries in his nose.
His hair floated and danced around
As if he were underwater
And his tail adrift in his very own place.
So much to see
Yet so little to see
And he knew without consideration,
He was dreaming of safe space.

MOBILE MASTERLIST.

It’s about bloody time I created one that was a little easier for you guys to use. I know that my Masterlist has caused a few troublesome issues over the last few weeks so I can only pray that this works a little better for everyone. I think that this may be something much more handy than having to edit everything and all that jazz.

Italicised and bolded titles are titles belonging to stories which contain smut, or some GIFs and pictures that are on the rather graphic side, within them. But, of course, there are warnings at the top of each smut piece, just in case you go a little further.

If any problems do arise, let me know and I’ll get to working them out as soon as I possibly can. Let’s hope this is a lot easier to handle! I’ll slot this under a Keep Reading because it’s actually much longer than I thought it would be and I don’t want to upset people by clogging up their dashboard.

PLEASE REMEMBER THAT ALL REQUESTS FOR EVERYTHING, RIGHT NOW, ARE SHUT. ANY THAT GET SENT IN WILL NOT BE WRITTEN IMMEDIATELY. xx

Ok hi I've noticed that you give good beauty advice so do u mind...? when do you apply serums? like twice a day?? before moisturizer? and do u apply moisturizer before night masks too? what about like dark spot correctors and all that jazz.. lol sorry if this is annoying I just have no clue what I'm doing

Hey, skincare is all about preference and it takes time and experimenting to find a routine that works for you! That being said, I like to apply serums first so they can sink into my skin with no barriers. I do that only at night! I moisturize morning (before makeup) and night (before night cream/mask). If I use a night mask/cream, id apply that last (after moisturizers, serums, dark spot correctors, etc) bc I usually keep them on all night. Like I said this is my preference sorry if it doesn’t help!

Things I learned during my first weekend at college
  • Your parents will hover like crazy and try to help you unpack when you move in. They mean well, but if you’re overwhelmed don’t be afraid to kick them out for a bit.
  • Don’t ask your RA what bars to hit up in town (like one girl from my floor actually did)
  • Check your e-mail five times a day, your professors might be sending out syllabi or other helpful/important stuff ahead of time.
  • You will cry at least once while buying textbooks from the campus bookstore that you couldn’t find used on Chegg (sidenote: use Chegg)
  • Your dining hall probably has pizza available for every meal. Don’t eat pizza for every meal.
  • Even if you hated salads your entire life, you will learn to love them so that, you know, you don’t eat pizza for every meal.
  • Check your dining hall hours online. Some of them close between meals.
  • Leave your door open or do random Internet browsing in the floor lounge if you want to meet more people.
  • At least one of your posters will constantly fall down no matter how many 3M command strips you use.
  • A lot of campus events are lame. A lot of them are not. Go to as many of them as you can anyways to meet more people.
  • If you need time to yourself, take it. You’ll make friends eventually without having to hang out with them constantly.
  • Don’t expect to become BFFs with everyone you meet, and don’t expect to become best friends over your first weekend.
  • If you’re standing if a long period of time, bend/relax your knees every so often. If you keep them locked, you might trigger a nerve in your body that causes you to pass out (this may or may not have happened to me on my second day, oops)
  • Drink water.
  • Carry an umbrella if there is the slightest chance of rain. Carry one even if there isn’t, just in case.
  • Carry a sweater or hoodie always.
  • Pokemon Go is lit on college campuses; every single building is a gym or pokestop and there are lures everywhere. Plus, your eggs hatch in no time because you’re walking everywhere.
  • It’s okay to eat alone in a dining hall; either no one will care or someone will sit at your table and strike up a conversation.
  • If you really, really don’t want to eat alone, literally just knock on someone’s door in your hall. If they don’t want to go with you, try someone else. Chances are, someone else might be hungry, too or at least willing to walk over with you.
  • Come up with a roommate agreement. Decide when you’re cleaning, sharing policy, guest policy, light and noise preferences, etc.
  • If there is a massive involvement fair on campus, research some clubs online so you know what to look for. Otherwise you’ll be overwhelmed in two seconds.
  • Join a group chat with people on your floor or in the same area of study as you, it’s super helpful for general information.
  • Ask everyone you talk to to add you on Snapchat.
  • Simple things like taking out the trash or doing laundry will suddenly feel very overwhelming.
  • You learn a lot of stuff from being in college for only three days and not even taking any classes.
Every Possible Past

Lars sat with his knees pulled close to his body, leaning against the rough-hewn surface of the kindergarten wall. He trailed his finger through the thin coating of dirt on the rockbed floor. He drew distracted shapes and wrote out words and names in the dirt, all of which he wiped clean and started anew, his brow furrowed.

Pad watched from behind. Unseeable, her eye flickered between Lars and the drawings in the dirt. She picked up the hem of her dress and moved to his side, sitting down with only a few inches of space between them. Lars said nothing. Pad didn’t either, for a while.

“What are you doing?” she asked.

“Me? Nothing,” Lars muttered. He erased a smiling sun and started anew. “Thinking.”

“…About?” Pad asked after a moment of hesitation.

“Stuff,” he answered. He picked his hand up from the dirt, seemingly lost for what to do. “Like, about this. Here.” Lars motioned to the rock walls stretching too high to measure, filtering through just enough light to see the rock dust trailing through the air, large and enveloping. “Where I’m stuck. Forever, maybe. And I’m thinking about if just…if I coulda avoided any of this if I’d just stopped being a coward sooner. That ‘stuff’.”

“Oh,” Pad answered. She stuck her own finger in the dirt, tracing squiggles. “No, you couldn’t have. You don’t have to worry about that.”

Lars blinked. “I didn’t even explain.”

“You’re concerned that your fate may have been avoided if you had helped Steven escape from Topaz sooner.” Pad added her own smiley face among the squiggles in the dirt. “Or perhaps if you had saved your blond friend on the ship when Aquamarine and Topaz descended upon you.”

Lars straightened, back against the stone wall. Then he pushed himself standing. “How do you know this stuff?”

Pad paused, her finger trailing midway through the dust. “Oh. Oh of course. My future vision is broken. It can only see the past.”

“So you can see…what, everything that happened?”

“And everything that might have happened. Like an endless tree.” She stood, and dusted herself off. “Most Sapphires can see all the possible things that might happen. I can only see the things that might have happened.”

Lars swallowed, and he stammered, and slowly he found the words. “The things that might have happened.”

“Yes.”

“So you can tell me what would have happened to me if I’d done this differently.”

“Oh, yes!”

“What would have happened if uh…what if I had helped Sadie when she needed help on the ship?”

Pad remained silent for a few seconds. A hollow wind blew through the caverns. “Ah yes, I see that vision now. You would have plummeted into the water with all the human others. And Steven would have vanished on the ship. You would have returned solemnly to your home. The next morning, you would have entered into a building with a large ring on the top.”

“The Big Donut.”

“Yes. That’s what the sign would have said.”

“What about Sadie?”

Another few seconds of silence. Pad clasped her hands together. “She would be there too. But you would not speak much with her. The disappearance of Steven would have left you both in turmoil.”

Lars wrung his hands together. “Okay… okay okay. That would have happened a couple days ago, yeah? What would be happening right now? If I was home? Where would I be?”

Pad shook her head. “Oh. I can’t see the possible presents.”

Lars licked his lips. Then he nodded. “Okay so…if I asked you tomorrow, would you be able to tell me what would have happened today? If I never left home?”

“Oh, yes. Yes, I would be able to tell you that.”

“Okay. Okay then.” Lars leaned against the wall, sinking slowly down it. He patted the dusty ground beside him. “If you’ve got some time now. Then could you tell me what um—if I had gotten off that ship, and stayed home—what would I have done yesterday?”

Pad picked up the hem of her dress and dropped into the offered spot. She fell silent a few moments before her mouth opened. “You would have returned to your place of work once more—the Big Donut. And you would have spoken to Sadie. She would have been difficult to console, as would you, but you would have triumphed eventually. She would have laughed at a humorous remark you found from the internet. This would have made you proud.”

Ten years pass quickly for Gems, not so much for humans. Lars wasn’t sure how these last ten years had passed for him, slow and fast at the same time. His physical body has not changed much, though his hair has grown much longer.

Lars leaned his back against the rough stone wall, free of dust now, and he waited for Pad to appear by his side.

When she did, Lars sunk to the ground, knees against his chest, and patted the same spot as always—as he did every day—for Pad to sit.

“So…tell me about yesterday. If I had stayed home, what would have happened yesterday?” Lars asked with urgency. It was the same question he had asked every day of the last ten years, but he was anxious now. He knew what might occur.

Pad smiled. She clasped her hands together. “You would have taken Sadie out to a food place along the beach. It would have been the one she told you she loved as a small human. And you would have taken that polished and cut stone out of your pocket, in the soft black box, and you would have presented it to her. You would have lowered yourself onto one knee first, and unfurled the box, and said, ‘Sadie, would you marry me?’”

Lars’s heart pounded in his ears. He swallowed dryly, leaning in. “What would she have said?”

“She would have said ‘Of course Lars. Of course.’”

Lars let out a strained breath, a noise of relief, or perhaps disbelief. He blinked harder, and leaned back against the wall, and traced his hand through the dirt. “Oh my god… Oh my god she would have said yes. She would have said yes.”

“Yes, she would have,” Pad answered.

The noise Lars made was soft, and wet, and it echoed out. Bouncing against the vast and dark heights of the kindergarten walls, absorbed and deflected in the cold hollow shells of Gems long extracted. And then it was lost to the cavern, that isolated and dark sealed off place. Inescapable.

A hollow wind replaced it.

Lars’s hand traced the shape of a heart in the dust, and the small strained noises from his throat dried up until only tears leaked down his cheeks. His hand stopped once it trembled too hard to trace anything more.

The Day of Story and Song was the day the world nearly ended. It was the day that everyone in the world simultaneously remembered wars of years passed and loved ones long lost and forgotten. Even for those who never knew these people or lived through these wars, they learned everything about them. They heard countless beautiful songs, saw so many incredible works of art, and heard stories beyond their imaginations.

They also learned of a group of seven researchers and explorers and–as they’re known now–heroes who traveled through time and space to a hundred impossible worlds. They were lands inhabited by huge animals, living robots, mushroom monsters. Endless beaches, forests, deserts. Worlds filled with prosperous life to worlds devoid of any. But more important than these worlds were the ones who traveled between them.

The twins, the lover, the protector, the peacemaker, the lonely journal keeper, and the wordless one. The people learned everything about them but their names. How they lived, and loved, and died, and lived and died again and again for a hundred years while they struggled to run from the horrible entity that pursued them.

This entity the people learned of, too. The Hunger. How it hunted and killed these heroes over and over in its mad chase for the light of creation, devouring every world in its path on the way. They learned what it was, how it worked, and they learned of the man in charge: John.

Even with all of this knowledge though, what could the people do but fend the foes they could now see off? The people would only be able to persist for so long against these worlds’ worth of assailants. They had no choice but to put their faith and life into the hands of these seven heroes they now knew as well as if they had known them their whole lives and then some. They put their faith into the heroes and held off their coming deaths for as long as they had to until the heroes came through.

And in the years to pass, the story of these heroes, of this day, of the art, and music, and countless impossible worlds they learned all about is passed on between generations so that everyone who wasn’t there that day to remember would learn.

And of all the things they remembered and learned, the last and maybe most peculiar was the image of a small, crudely but lovingly carved wooden duck.

You hide in the shade
Of anonymity
And I may not know
Your true identity…
But you’re a part of
A massive, faceless scourge
Hatefully letting
Negativity purge.
You don’t have the guts
(Or nuts) to show your face
While spreading around
Disgusting disgrace.
You have your problems,
Even so, you’ve no right
To come after me
With a sucker-punch fight.
You won’t meet my eyes
But don’t think I don’t see–
It’s all about you,
Never was about me.

— Inspired by all the nasty anon hate I’ve been noticing around here lately. It’s ridiculous and juvenile (though I’ve known children who would never be so rude). Isn’t there enough pain, suffering, and hate in this world? Why contribute to that?

Setting up my Firtherton AU:

Just like his character Eggsy Unwin, “Kingsman: The Secret Service” had popped Taron’s cherry in many ways.  It had been his first film, first press junket, and first big movie premiere.  It was first time having reporters and photographers competing for his attention, camera lights flashing everywhere and leaving him disoriented at times. Taron probably wouldn’t have come out of the exhausting experience alive if it weren’t for Colin, who had taken him under his wing and taught him to be gracious and generous to the crew, media, and fans.  It was effortless for someone like Colin.  Colin was well-spoken and well-read, but Taron was still learning to tamp down his excitability – fidgeting in his chair, blurting out the first thing on his mind, and generally making an embarrassment of himself during interviews. There were too many videos of him gazing longingly at Colin for fuck’s sake.  This time, he was going to tone it down.

Never did he think “Kingsman” would become a big enough hit that they’d make a sequel.  Never in a million years did he think Colin would come back for the second movie but here they were: Taron Egerton and Colly Wobbles, picking up right where they left off. They cracked jokes during filming breaks and spent time a lot of time together talking about their projects, families, and even politics with Brexit looming in the near future.
