Six Times Voltage Inc Tugged at my Heartstrings

I’ve been playing Voltage games for about four years now, and I have to say, there were moments in certain routes that made me Feel Things™. Generally, Voltage games aren’t really known for being cynical or overly emotional. Heck, their games, while having some mature content, mostly have an optimistic feel to them. However, there were some moments in particular that stood out to me—those scenes were written powerfully enough to shake me to the core.

I have to admit, it was difficult for me to select a few moments from hundreds of routes, but I tried my best to narrow it down as much as I could.

  • I limited it to one character per game to avoid repetition.
  • I haven’t played every Voltage game (or route for that matter). The moments I’ve chosen only come from the games I’ve played.
  • I didn’t include SLBP because I only started getting into it recently (plus I don’t know too much about the other lords to make solid conclusions about them lmao).
  • This is all my personal opinion, so that means you probably won’t share the same views as I do, which is cool (I’d actually appreciate it if you told me what your favorite moments were :D).

Anyhow, let’s begin! (long post below):

A love across time Part 2/14

Thanks @mslunes for the pic!!!

Warnings: Swearing (as always with my writing), Violence

Pairing: Bucky x Reader

Y/N - Your name

A/N: Prob the cutest Bucky scene I have ever written.

Anonymous Request: Idk if you’re taking in request but i have one of you could possibly do a reader X Bucky ? She has cosmic powers and can show a universe in her hands and one day he was testing her limits and she went back in time to the 40s ?

Part 1 II Part 2 II Part 3 II Part 4 II Part 5 II Part 6 II Part 7 II Part 8 II Part 9 II Part 10 II Part 11 II Part 12 II Part 13 II Part 14

Y/N stayed in her room for the next few days not even leaving during the night. Bucky was getting worried about her so he went to her room and knocked on the door late one night. He asked Friday if she was in there after not getting an answer and when Friday told him she was in there he opened the door and went to the bedroom door. He hesitantly opened it and saw that she was lying on her bed with her headphones on. He could hear the beat coming from the headphones so knew the music was playing very loud in her ears, hence why she didn’t answer the door. He slowly made his way over to her bed and she still didn’t move so he tapped her on the shoulder. Her eyes shot opened, she grabbed his hand, jumped off of the bed and spun him around. She then kicked out his legs so he fell to his knees and shoved her knee into his back. All of a sudden he looked down and he was kneeling before a cliff’s edge staring at the sharp rocks below.

New Girl rewatch party: Episode 6x22 - “Five Stars for Beezus” (season finale)

I chose to post pictures of my two favorite scenes of the season 6 finale: Schmidt’s speech to Nick, and FINALLY the Ness kiss <3.

I also want to take the opportunity to thank all of you who have followed my season 6 reviews - that was actually my only way of coping a rewatch of this shitty season; to review each and every episode. I actually thought I might like it better if I binged-watched it, but no. It’s officially New Girl’s weakest season ever and OH how I would have ranted if this would have been the very last episode!! But thankfully we got a final season.

Ok, here we go!

1. Jess’ proud momma face at Nick’s reading when she sneaks in to listen to him. SO cute!

2. …and then her face when Nick answers the question if Jessica Night and Pepperwood will ever get together. Hearing Nick say “No they won’t” and “They’re based on real people” - HER FACE :-( :-(. I wonder what would have happened if Jess had confronted Nick after the reading. “Nick, I need to know: did you really mean what you said about Jessica Night and Pepperwood? That there is no chance of them ever getting together again?” If she’d had the guts to do that, they would have been forced to have “the talk” and the whole episode would have turned out differently - and to the better.

3. Schmidt accidentally surprising Jess sleeping on the couch in his home was hilarious. And Jess’ reaction: “I’LL NEVER BE THE SAME!!!”

4. Jess telling Schmece she’s moving out of the loft shouldn’t come as such a shock to them - THEY should have encouraged her to do it MONTHS ago!!! I mean, that’s what friends are for, isn’t it? To tell you what to do to feel better? And NOW all of a sudden, both Schmidt and Cece are Jess’ cheerleaders?? Come ON.

5. Oh. My. Fucking. God. That speech Schmidt gives to Nick about how he’s never looked at anyone else the way he looks at Jess, just melts my heart EVERY SINGLE TIME. I don’t even know how many times I’ve watched that particular scene -  many more times than the Ness kiss in the elevator. But also: THAT SPEECH SHOULD HAVE HAPPENED AGES AGO!!!

6. Watching Nick at the book publisher’s office, slowly but surely coming to the realization about his feelings for Jess, is beautiful and such great acting by Jake. That’s the Nick we know and love!! We’ve seen Dumb Nick for too long, we almost forgot that Emotional Nick is still in there somewhere. “Jessica Night is the whole reason Pepperwood gets out of bed every day!” Go, Nick, GO!!

7. Jess standing alone in her empty bedroom in the loft is absolutely heartbreaking and feels so…final :-(.

8. The whole pregnancy reveal scene at Jaipur Aviv is such top class acting by Hannah and Max - just like their wedding was. They manage to be just the right amount of funny and emotional at the same time. AAAAHHHH!!

9. Nick’s shocked face when he gets back to the loft and is met by Jess’ emtpy room… *sobbing uncontrollably* (Can’t help but wonder though how mcuh time he spent at the book publisher’s - his meeting was at 9 AM and by the time he gets back to the loft it’s already dark.)

10. Jess telling the little dog in the hallway “NOW you find your voice?!” is aimed at herself just as much. She’s finally found her voice to tell Nick how she feels.

11. I remember thinking for a horrible moment that the episode would end with just Nick and Jess looking at each other while the elevator doors were closing…that would have been plain AWFUL!!!

12. I will NEVER EVER forgive the editors for making that epic second first kiss so short, with THE CREDITS ROLLING?!?!?!?! Wtf, where is your respect for the Ness fans??

One thing is for sure though: we NEED to hear that talk in the elevator in season 7. We have seen the outtakes, so we KNOW it took place, and we deserve to see it!

Chapter Thirty-Three: Retribution- Part One

“Hey Lucy,” Natsu started, gaining said girl’s attention.

She looked up from her phone, a soft smile forming on her face. “Yeah?”

They were once again walking around the side of the school. Their other friends hadn’t joined them just yet, leaving the two alone for the moment. “I umm…” Natsu reminded himself that there was no reason to worry. They had already agreed anyway, so he shouldn’t feel nervous. Still, he felt his palms sweat as he asked, “well… Remember that whole Growlithe debate?”

Lucy giggled, nodding to the boy. “Oh? You mean where you swore up and down that I was wrong, then found out I was right all along? If that’s what you’re referring to, then yes. I remember.”

Natsu couldn’t help but laugh. He’d seen all kinds of Lucy’s personalities, but gloating Lucy had to be one of his favorites. She looked so damn cute with that bright grin and those sharp brown eyes. ‘If only it wasn’t weird to snap a picture of her randomly…’ He’d love to capture that moment, but the fear of sounding creepy kept him from asking.

Putting those thoughts aside, he said, “yeah. That’s what I was talking about…” Worry set in as he asked, “do you remember what we talked about after?”

Lucy raised a brow, thinking for a moment before those sharp eyes lit up. “We agreed that you had to take me to a movie.” Before Natsu could say anything, she added, “and buy me a soda and popcorn this Friday.”

In other words, today.

Natsu felt a little tension leave his shoulders. He was relieved she remembered, giving him the perfect segue. “So I looked up some of the movies playing today after school…”

Hannibal Re-Catch: Buffet Froid

Whoa, is this a rare middle of the week posting? Why, yes it is. Join me as I revisit Episode 1.10 of Hannibal and view it through the lens of the entire show thus far. It’s part recap, part crack, and part meta (the littlest part tbh).

And I may have been too lazy to write an intro summary this week, so let’s just get into it, shall we?

Disclaimer: Don’t read this if you haven’t seen both seasons of NBC Hannibal because this recap is spoilery as fuck.
