ancient winter

The wicked flat.

302-bis, Sadovaya street, Moscow. This is the very place where the Russian writer Mikhail Bulgakov worked on his disputable novel “Master and Margarita”. I invite you to walk around this strange flat where the writer lived , the place which he made alive in his novel. I’ve read this book about 15 times in different ages - in youth, being a student, and being a man. Every time this book shows me different flavors and angles. It’s fun to see how my perception changes through these times. This book is my old friend and companion.

“- What would your Good do if there was no Evil? And how the Earth would look like if there were no shadows on it? ”

Imagine Loki and the Avengers going to Jotunheim on a diplomatic mission to pay penance for prior crimes and to fix the rift between the Nine Realms. As an offering of good-will Asgard returns the Casket of the Ancient Winters to them, being delivered by Loki himself. You tag along as a Midgardian government attache and during your mission. You become accidentally trapped with Loki in the Casket room on Jotunheim and are temporarily unreachable by anyone. Being exposed to the Casket has been affecting Loki to small degrees but during this time the Casket forces Loki into his First Heat.

It could be worse. You do have all the luxuries befitting a princess, though one charged with treason. But a gilded cage is still a cage. And the prospect of withering away in this, the tallest tower of the Palace of Asgard, in the same place where your once-betrothed will live and marry and rule from, it’s almost too much to bear.
