an early graphic for you guys

anonymous asked:

Hi! Do you have tips for studying/working and focusing? I want to do my best this year and I feel you are the best person to ask this!!

Hey anon! Sorry this took so long but here we are! Since this is pretty vague im gonna go with a quick explanation of the three learning types, visual, listening and kinesthetic.

  • Auditory students. tend to benefit most from traditional teaching techniques. Many teachers use a lecture-style forum, presenting information by talking to their students. Regulating voice tone, inflection, and body language will help all students maintain interest and attention. Auditory learners succeed when directions are read aloud, speeches are required, or information is presented and requested verbally.
  • Visual students. rely upon a visual learning style. Visual learners benefit from diagrams, charts, pictures, films, and written directions. These students will value to-do lists, assignment logs, and written notes. Many of these techniques, however, also benefit kinesthetic learners.
  • Kinesthetic students. Most of the school population excels through kinesthetic means: touching, feeling, experiencing the material at hand. They acquire information fastest when participating in a science lab, drama presentation, skit, field trip, or other active activity. Because of the high numbers of kinesthetic learners, education is shifting toward a more hands-on approach; manipulatives and other “props” are incorporated into almost every school subject, from physical education to language arts.

So, knowing what kind of student you are, you should be able to recognize the best studying systems out there for you, or personalize yours for the best even. Im gonna do a quick guide to do The Best for an actual high grade since, for a perfect grade, you’ll need to work hard in and out of the classroom.

In class

  • Attend your lectures. There are a ton of times the professor will discuss the exacts topics of the exam in them, and you’ll feel more motivated if you go. Also, record them if you can with your phone or a recording device. Sometimes your lecturer talks to fast or you miss some points, it’s hard to hear them or you just zone out so, it’s good to have a backup!
  • Attent your tutorials. This is your opportunity to clarify any questions you might have and to get help. (Plus, easy marks).
  • Take notes! Try to keep them the most organized, detailed and clean as possible, since you’ll have to check and revise them at home.

At home

  • Review your notes. It takes like 15-20 minute to revise those at home when you come from school. Revise the ones you take in class everyday and make a full revise of all of the week in the weekend. It’ll be easier for you to study the big test then.
  • Do your readings. Honestly. Stay on top of your readings. It’s hard. It’s really hard but it’s so so worth it. It’ll be boring as fuck sometimes, but you’ll need to push thru it.
  • Mark what you don’t understand. Mark or circle whatever you dont get and bring it to your tutorials or study group.
  • Do. Your. Homework. This is pretty self-explanatory. Even if you are sure you understand 100% of the material, it doesn’t hurt to do an extra practice in.

Tests

  • Make an exam schedule. Plan what, when and for how long are you going to study. Try to study at least one week on advance.
  • Turn off whatever distracts you. Yes. It includes your phone, internet and/or television. Go to a library or a coffee shop if you need that background noise to study!
  • Find your method for your learning type, as i mentioned earlier. Use flashcards, or pomodoro system or graphics or rewrite your notes… whatever it works for you!
  • Re-do your homework. Practice makes you perfect and getting to old questions will refresh you what you think you had forgotten.

My system

My system is actually a pretty harsh one and it takes a lot of discipline and it is a No Excuses system, but i guess that it’ll be good to share it with you guys.

  • School Days

Show up to class a little early. It’ll give you time to set up, read over some old notes, put your water bottle/thermos on your desk, fill out your planner if you couldn’t in the previous period(s), check your planner to see if you have something on that day etc. It’ll also give you time to put you up on situation.

Sit in the front or second row. I’m serious, you will definitely benefit. Write detailed class notes. Pick whatever system works for you. I usually write my titles in red pen, notes in black pen, underline points that are repeated/emphasised with a 0.8 black pen, and important practice exercises in green. Highlight keywords at home.

If you have time at school, do as much homework as you can. If you know you have commitments that day, please for the love of your education do your homework at lunch. I know you might feel awkward, but your friends will understand, it’ll save time and you’ll be relieved at the end of the day.

When you get home, first list down all the homework received that day on a q card (cross off as you go). Then write the same tasks in your bullet journal, but as a daily spread. Leave phone in a different room. FINISH ALL OF YOUR HOMEWORK. If for some reason you couldn’t complete a homework task, write it on a sticky note and place it on your wall. After homework is done, write your revision notes (flashcard the info as well). Place the notes in your accordion folder/binder. If you have some loose sheets at any point, place them in a ‘To Be Filed’ box. Sort that out when you’re packing your bag for the next day or before going to bed.

Pack your bag the night before. Remember your accordion folder and please make sure your ‘To Be Filed’ box is empty. Put water bottle in the fridge and make meals for the next day.

The next day, wake up early, complete any unfinished homework, go through flashcards again, read through revision notes, make lunch for the day, put laptop in bag or whatever electronic device you use for class, put food and water in bag, shower and change. Only do this if your schedule is packed, and in my case, this is a must.

  • Weekends

On Friday nights or after lunch, first off, do homework. You will thank yourself for it. Whip out that list of assessments/assignments and get for yourself the saturday and sunday. Work ahead, you will feel much better.

Do your readings. For English, knock off some wider reading novels, for science, knock off some more textbook readings and write notes. Write summaries of each page. Type these summaries. Print these summaries. Place in accordion folder/binder. Flashcard the info. Spend like half a day doing this. This will take so so long, like, half a day, but it’ll be worth it.

Spend 1-2 hours going through the flashcards you made that week for each subject. This counts as studying, even if it’s quick, plus it isn’t tiresome as reading over and over the notes you did earlier.

  • Reminders

Please, schedule knowing yourself. Stick to a plan you know you can do, be realistic. Yes, you can read 300 pages of a reading in a night, but do you want to do it, since the test is tomorrow?

Organize everything. A messy study system is actually The Worst. You’ll lose time finding things, you’ll lose time trying to figure out things you should know already, etc. A clean and organized system is the best and quickest way to accomplish an A in class.

If you fail, it is okay. You are allowed to not being perfect. You are allowed to not get that A. You are allowed to rest. So please dont push yourself and drive yourself to the edge, I tell you. It isnt that worth it.

First things first, I’m the realist, I’d like to point out that you do not in any way have to set up your college list like mine. I just wanted to provide my own personal view on how I narrowed down colleges and how I did my research. Feel free to use this as a template. In this post, I’ll break down exactly what I did.

This was created through google docs (form), but can be applicable to an excel spreadsheet as well. What I started off with at the top were my current stats, meaning GPA, class rank, SAT and/or ACT scores. These are all general, just for reference on where you stand in terms of colleges.

The next part is the fun part (and by fun part, I mean the part I spent two weeks creating and editing). On the top are the names of the colleges that you want to research. I categorized them by color: red is for colleges that will definitely be applied to, blue is reconsidering whether to apply or not, green is for my definite safeties, and purple is for whether or I should still apply or not. Now these are all according to my personal preferences, so you don’t have to use this for your list. I do recommend having a color for safeties, reaches, and matches.

The different rows on the left are also based on what I look for in a college and information that I should know:

  • Ranking: Whether it’s a match, reach, or safety school.
  • Size:  The number of undergraduates that they have on campus.
  • Public or Private
  • Location
  • Admit Rate: Acceptance rate
  • Freshman Housing: Is freshman housing guaranteed?
  • Overall Cost: Cost per semester/year-round
  • Average Financial Age Package
  • Setting:  Urban, Suburban, or Rural
  • Mid 50% SAT CR: Average score out of 800 for critical reading section of the SAT
  • Mid 50% SAT M:  Average score out of 800 for math section of the SAT
  • Mid 50% SAT W:  Average score out of 800 for writing section of the SAT
  • Mid 50% ACT: Average ACT score
  • Avg. GPA: Average GPA of incoming freshman
  • Music Programs Available: Whether they have a band and orchestra
  • Minority %: Percentage of Asian population
  • Intended Majors: Whether it had the majors that I wanted to pursue (in my case, computer science and graphic design)
  • Early Action/Early Decision: Whether they had an early action or decision option when applying.
  • Campus Rating: How much I loved their campus when I visited.
  • SAT II: Whether subject tests are recommended or required, and how many you need if it’s the case of the latter.
  • AP Credit: Whether their offer AP credit an/or placement
  • Supplements: What else is needed to apply.
  • Application Fee: How much is the application fee.

But like I said guys, this is all unique to my preferences. I just hoped that it inspired you guys on how to set up your college list, or at least helped you figure some things out on where you want to apply. Making a college list has really helped me narrow down decisions on where I want my future to be. My list right now does not hold my final college choices on where I want to apply, but it’s really helping me get there. I hope this post helps you guys too!

Hey guys! It’s [OBLIGATORY APRIL FOOL’S DAY UPDATE]!

I know it’s a little early, but I just wanted to make a post about how I’ve decided to make big changes to my game, [INSERT NAME OF INDIE GAME HERE]! After a lot of thought, I think I’m going to change it to a [UNRELATED GENRE, BUT PROBABLY A DATING SIM] game and sell it for [MORE MONEY THAN EXISTS IN THE GLOBAL ECONOMY] on Steam! This was a hard decision, but I hope you guys all support me in making it!

I also made a few tweaks to the graphics for it…

I’m really liking the look of it, you know?

Also, I want to assure people that, even though this is on the first, it is absolute not a [APRIL FOOL’S DAY PRANK]. I don’t know about you guys, but I don’t make [JOKES] about my game.

Anyway, thanks for sticking around!

Lmao you guys are nerds *I say while wearing a Hot Topic Harley Quinn bow in my hair* Like you are all obsessed with Bats-Man and his Bois Wonders *I drop like five hundred pictures of Richard Grayson* Like I cannot believe how so many people can like that Night Gallery of Rouge *wipes off nonexistent dust from my Batman Poster* I mean who has time for that amirite *gazes fondly at Batman comics and graphic novels on my shelf*

Hey guys. Guess what I did for Jamie’s birthday today XD

Basically I got up really early this morning, found this photo…

and printed off a shitload of copies.

I then proceeded to stick Sehun’s frown-face in various places around Jamie’s apartment (as you do).

Sehun in Jamie’s shoes

Sehun in Jamie’s bathroom

Sehun in Jamie’s Law Studies folder

Sehun in Jamie’s bed

Sehun in Jamie’s textbook

Sehun on Jamie’s graphics tablet

Sehun on Jamie’s manga

Sehun on Jamie’s breakfast

Sehun in Jamie’s fridge

Sehun on Jamie’s fridge

sehun on Jamie’s desktop

Sehun on Jamie’s laptop

And I just put the extras on here XD

hahahahaa, ahhhh…you’re welcome @lu-for-bottom

I just wanted to slide in here to let everyone know that I’m about to sneak off for a nap. I had a late lunch / early dinner after working on getting stuff ready for when I swap the main’s graphics for May next weekend (so I promise I wasn’t just lurking around doing nothing; & I hope you guys like the color pink because that’s part of the scheme for May) and I also just had my next dose of pain meds & stuff so I’m SLEEPY. I’m going to set an alarm though, so I’ll be back by about 6:30 PM CDT!! If you need me before then, just send me a DM and I’ll get to you when I can!

Using your dirty laundry analogy. I basically get the idea that the brony room has dirty laundry and filfth all over it. Other fandoms have just about as much, but like to point out the brony room to turn heads the other way while they hastily try to shove everything under the bed & cram it in the closet.

I say this because one time I got groped in cosplay at an anime con when I tried to speak out about my situation people tried to say bronies are worse and derailed it, just turned it into a thread about how awful bronies are and pretty much ignored and insulted me. “at least we aren’t bronies” should not be a get out of jail free card

(I’m combining both of your asks together so people can get the whole story, if that’s alright.)

First and foremost, I’m sorry to hear that your convention experience was like that.

Secondly, that’s the thing: fandoms always want a scapegoat. Whether it’s DC fans saying ‘at least we keep true to our characters, unlike Marvel’ or Marvel fans saying ‘at least we have representation, unlike DC’ or the fans of various musicians and groups having to resort to bringing light to the dirt of the other fandoms or the musicians themselves.

And, what is so sad here is that there are sooo many major fandom fuck-ups that are out there but people never bring them up. Why? Because its much easier to make fun of bronies and tie them up onto a Salem Witch Trials Brand pyre.

Oh, yes, bring up the one fucktard who boiled a Rainbow Dash toy in cum or the guy who made some serious bank by making a Lyra plush into a sex-toy.

Are you also going to bring up the fact that the WTNV fandom almost killed themselves with a Tiramisu recipe? Or the fact that they were planning to harass the Comic Con committee when the WTNV team didn’t get cleared to do a panel at the event?

Or what about the Dangan Ronpa fandom tormenting and chasing away a Japanese trans woman when she tried to tell them that their insistence on Chihiro and Sakura being trans individuals was both hurtful and ignorant to what actual trans people in Japan go through on a daily basis?

Did you know that the reason cosplayers who do characters that center around weapons have such a hard time whenever they go to conventions is because of the Naruto fandom having people who liked to throw around actual kunai and shuriken at people when they went to cons?

Oh, speaking of Naruto, how about the fujoshits who like to shove Sasuke and Naruto cosplayers together to try and force them to makeout for their own pleasure. Some of them have even been kids cosplaying as Sasuke being shoved up against teenage and adult Naruto cosplay for ‘teh kawaii yaoizz’.

The Hetalia fandom (I love you guys with all my heart, but still): We still have the S. Korea incident to deal with (though, admittedly, it was the S. Korean government over-reacting to a piece of fanart) as well as half the fandom trying to slander Himaruya as a transphobe just because he described the Roman Emperor Heliogabalus – who was, in fact, just a cisgender, feminine man who had a male lover whom he referred to as his ‘husband’, and used lavender linguistics – as ‘the Roman Emperor who lived like a woman… Though he was really a guy’.

… Also, guys, why were you so passionate about defending the ‘honor’ of this guy? After his mother killed several people to get him to the throne, he returned the favor by killing her. His favorite hobby was getting other Roman officials drunk and then letting lions and tigers into the room to eat them – He wasn’t a ‘poor, oppressed’ figure — But I digress.

Did you know that there was a fanfic from the early Power Rangers fandom called ‘Agony in Pink’ that almost caused an International incident between America and Japan. Yeah, apparently the idea of the American Power Rangers fandom producing a fanfic that dealt with the intensely graphic (for the time) torture and rape of the Pink Ranger didn’t go over so well.

Must we bring back the fact that the Supernatural fandom’s favorite hobby is making the cast of the show feel uncomfortable at every con panel they do by asking sex-related questions for the sake of their precious Destiel? Despite some panels even having signs at the door saying ‘These are the types of questions you can and can not ask. Please respect the comfort-levels of the actors.’

The Pokemon fandom has made it impossible, impossible

IMPOSSIBLE

To Google ‘Gardevoir’ without finding porn… And that was years before MLP:FiM even existed.

The point of all of these examples? To remind people that plenty, plenty of fandoms have done monumentally fucked up shit. There should actually be no reason for other fandoms to try and use the brony community as their own personal whipping boy.

You can’t be a three-dollar hooker in a gangbang with another three-dollar hooker and, at the end of it, sneer at the other hooker ‘Ugh, you’re so disgusting; look at the cum on your face’… When you yourself are going to have to go home and comb the jizz out of your own hair!

#Happy25VIrthday  Lee Seunghyun/Seungri! (December 12, 1990)

Some people think you are not talented enough but what i see is a very talented guy who works his very hard. I remember when you have an injury in a bigbang concert back in your early days. You were crying with so much pain backstage but still you want to perform onstage. This made me admire you and see your pure passion. And your pure love to your hyungs and love ones had me in awe. Thank you for being always a strong person. I love you Lee Seunghyun <3.

INKTOBER Day 7!

The tengru came out of nowhere and attacked. His mother beat the creature back and yelled, “Wake, RUN!” He bolted for the tool shed and grabbed the first thing he saw; a rusty shovel. By the time he got back to her, she lay listless on the ground. The beast was gone.

Week ONE is down! You guys have been so supportive, I really appreciate it. Getting me all excited to start drawing this graphic novel. The Kickstarter for it launches early November…more details to come.

This graphic is ridiculous,.I’m sick, is that an excuse? .The dog looks pretty cool. I made this to say HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO EVERYONE, but is also an excuse to say how important you all are to me, I mean srsly, you are so kind  to me, and this is the least I can do.  thank you. Followers and Mutuals, you are amazing.

Here’s a list of people who are really important, and the bold ones are like extra important or something.

Infinity only lasted a minute, but what a minute

Sitting alone in 02 seemed a hell of a lot scarier than riding the Brussels metro in a rainbow wig all by myself.

I only found out that itt was just gonna be me as we were walking in from the meetup - which was so so wonderful. To be able to put a face and a name to all these blogs, the crafts, the stories, the hugs, the understanding. To share and to ramble and laugh over a smoke together… and the Slug N Lettuce employee who took one of the rainbow hearts from us and wore it.

So I was really really nervous about the show. That was until I realized the older lady (if not twice my age, definitely still more than thrice the age of the average 1D fan) sitting next to me, was not waiting for her grandkids to come back to their seats – she too was there on her own. We had a lovely chat during which she told me she had been a fan ever since the X factor, this was her fifth show and, surprise, Harry was her favourite. The crowd was very diverse by the way - entire families with moms singing along and very young kids as well as the public that was there from the start that’s grown up and an increasingly larger twentysomething hipster crowd. Like Mareike said at breakfast the next day “We are the hippest of hipsters. We liked them before they were cool”

I had heard the rumours about RBB, his friend, and Larry, and was super pleasantly surprised that when I turned my head I found I was sitting only metres from the P.A, and them.

I stupidly did not go and take a closer look, thinking I could still do that after the show, because as I turned my head again during the safety announcement, I realized they were already gone, and found myself looking into another familiar face…

Hello Richard! I think you were about the only person not bopping to No Control, whathappen?

Great move to immediately set the mood with that song though.

That also marked the only time of the day I had the reflex to obtain receipts. Too much happened after that.

Liam giving a shoutout to someone with a rainbow sign, remarking on the colourfulness of their friends. Harry saying something about celebrating love. All four of them looking very much on point. There were loads of rainbow signs

My seat really wasn’t bad and became even better when I realized the front row in my block (C1) had remained empty and I decided not to let those great seats go to waste. Marvellous view on the B stage, Louis’ side. Like in Brussels, he seemed super chirpy, but this time I could actually see all the little smiles and waves and skips for myself, and kept wondering whether those thumbs up here and there were directed at any of the friends I’d just met who were in block B.
The show was really good, they looked on point, they sang on point, and my admiration for Liam and Niall really grows exponentially every time I see them live – the two of them really carried the whole show this time (or maybe I was just sitting too far from Harry as I remember nothing but Harry – and SadLouis! From my first show in Duesseldorf – auch – thinking about that show always makes me miss Zayn – even though they covered for him marvelously). They’re both fantastic singers, Liam always was but Niall just gets better and better, you can hear how comfortable they are and I just loved their harmonies, which the O2 was so much better for than all those fucking stadia. It was fully worth the extra cost of a Eurostar ticket and hotel, to actually being able to hear them properly – another reason why my seat next to the P.A. was amazing.
Harry’s voice soothes the soul, it still seemed a bit strained, and that always worries me, but his outfit, his hair… he seemed good. And Louis is such a big ball of skipping sunshine – he seemed supercomfortable and sounded great and strong today.

I screamed a big fat “yes, show them you’re a BAND” when Niall saved the day and took it upon himself to provide a little acoustic set while the actual band was sorting the technical issues. You could feel this was a unique moment.
Infinity lasted less than a minute, but SO MUCH HAPPENED in that minute! They proved they are musicians rather than a prefabricated boyband of puppets, we proved we are the best fans in the world knowing the lyrics to their song that’s been out only 48 hours better than they do, Niall must have felt the power as he shaded Simon, I dropped one of my rainbow hearts out of pure shock and made two of my neighbors really happy by letting them have it, setting a great mood for the rest of the show. And then the show director proved to be Captain Larry again, showing a sign that said “Louis is Harry’s Infinity” full on screen during those seconds of bliss where band and fans realized “hey we just did something great together”. The acoustice intermezzo was all round the most satisfying set songs I have ever heard from them. Do an intimate acoustic tour and I will buy tickets for every single show.  I felt like a little kid on Saint Nicholas Day (that’s Christmas Day for you guys yes).

Louis’ bladder is tiny, just like almost everything else on him.

The setlist was great – I am probably the only person who likes Diana – and I didn’t even mind WMYB this time.

Hearing Fireproof and Through the Dark and Act my Age live also very much confirmed my musical appreciation for this band – and I hope at some point they take Little Black Dress and Little White Lies out in favor of Happily and Strong, the latter being the only song I really really missed.

Louis forgot to sing his lyrics at some point and Liam was teasing him for it I think – overall the interaction between those two just kills me. I am such a sucker for Lilo and it was a very Lilo show.

You could not see the rainbow lights from the floor, but early on in the show, I tried to take pics of some rainbow coloured graphics that were playing on screen – the pics failed, but I know they were there. That was when Richard was still on post – I gave him a quizzical look to see if he approved but he only had eyes for his phone.

I love Harry. That’s a disclaimer so please remember that while I tell you I felt a bit annoyed during the KissCam moment. I loved that he picked a guy and told him he looked sharp. I did not love that after  he asked him whether they were on a date, the guy shook no, and he said “friendzone huh”, then organized a kisscam to make her kiss him.  Or maybe I did and I just realized the drama Tumblr would make of it. In any case, I did like the girl for going for it full force and kissing the guy full on the mouth. I also loved the older couple that asked for the camera next and answered “we are Spanish” to Harry’s question how long it had been since the husband had last kissed the wife, as she seemed so eager. Cue the director proving his greatness by immediately showing a girl happily waving a little Spanish flag on the screens. I salute you sir. I felt like saying “tsk Harry” though. Really. This was a moment that ASKED for a same sex couple to be shown and when someone asked to have the cam, and Harry said  “no kiss cam’s over now” and he said “but kiss her anyway” it was the director and not Harry, who MADE MY FUCKING DAY by giving the two girls the kiss cam anyway. I shouted and waved my flag wildly and I think that was the moment when all of my other neighbors finally understood what I was doing there with that flag. I love Harry, did I tell you this before? Uncle Sy and Uncle Rich were there, as I had expected after that little run-in, Harry did not run around stage with a rainbow flag this time, and I so I wasn’t really surprised that he did not pick out a same sex couple in the first place. Mr. Director’s rebellious action more than made up for that. Give me his number, I wanna recruit him.
I felt very puzzled though – there’s uncle Sy and uncle Rich, and all the shade, and all hesitation and some visible discomfort – but there’s also the bears, and the rainbow lights and screens, and Mr. Rainbow Director, and there was Rainbow Harry just two weeks ago (but not now) and Harry with a rainbow cup in Drag Me Down. What the fucking fuck is that? How does it work? Where is the logic? Who okays the rainbows and who gets to censor them away?
I spent much of the concert with my mind turning in circles full speed but I am so glad I got to forget all about that during Drag Me Down. For the entire show, I had only had eyes for Louis, except during Niall’s moment of acoustic heroism, and even though I must have been somewhat visible from B stage with the flag and two metres of empty space in front of me, I didn’t think he’d  seen me. Which was a good thing – I had felt very visible and exposed  in Duesseldorf which inhibited me a little there (I blame Harry for making fun of me and my tiny flag).  In Brussels, being an invisible dot in the back somewhere was so important to my enjoyment to the full of every moment. I went WILD during that concert. So during most of the O2 show, I sang at the top of my lungs, danced with my flag, and waved it for every moment of glory. One of the most powerful images of the OTRA tour so far, for me, was the group of girls dancing around a rainbow flag during an entire concert. They were perfectly content in the back, having fun by themselves and they were so inspiring to others, to me. During Drag Me Down, a song that is so personally important to me, because of the lyrics and the time it came out and because of the video, I felt some of the tension of my life and this day leave me, this is where I wanted and deserved to be, with this band, these strangers around me, in this place where I could dance freely and dancing with the flag was making me incredibly happy. I could only hope that, if there were young people struggling with gender and sexuality issues in my surroundings, that they would take courage from seeing the flag, but it was worth doing this even if just for myself.

It came as such a surprise that I would have missed it if it had not happened during the final seconds of Drag Me Down and of the concert itself: several people at the back of block B1 in front of me had left before the encore, which had freed up a pretty big space in the direct line of vision between me and Louis’ mic stand on B stage – I had a great view and stopped dancing for a while to fully take in the last lines of that song and the show.  In a moment of big emotion I forgot about being mindful of the three minus 10 year olds just behind me and held my flag high up in the air for a second or two.  As I took it down and hugged it, I saw Louis smile and wave, and give the quickest little thumbs up.

And then he ran to take the final bow with the boys.

Fantastic last show.

For now!

You guys! I’m so excited to announce that a) the First Reads program is back in gear after a holiday hiatus and b) we’re kicking off the year with Scott McCloud's The Sculptor!

McCloud is sometimes called the “Aristotle of Comics” because of his three landmark nonfiction works: Understanding Comics, Reinventing Comics, and Making Comics. He’s a man who’s spent a lot of time thinking about making art — and that’s reflected in The Sculptor, his first full-length graphic novel.

At the center of the story is David, a young sculptor who’s floundering after some early success. He makes a fairy-tale deal with Death: his life, in exchange for the power to sculpt anything with his bare hands. But once the deal is done, what will David do with the remaining 200 days of his life? Does he have the vision to match his new abilities? What happens when he falls in love?
