I have done everything you ever taught me. I tamed my temper, became a gentleman. I sought opportunity. I’ve climbed and clawed and fought and now I’m respected, feared, hated, and worshipped. But for what? I am not who they think I am.
(Literally everything, but that’s not what this is about.) I love how the side characters are as interesting as the lead ones. For example, do you remember Huell and Kuby from Breaking Bad? Those black and ginger dudes who were Saul’s henchmen. They were bringing a comedy element to the show. It’s such a shame they didn’t get more airtime. Because they deserve their own show. Jesse, Tuco, Gus.. And Mike? That character was just perfect. Look, Saul Goodman’s got his own show. Breaking Bad was so good that it could have a spin-off for every damn character and it would still be fantastic. God, I miss that series and I miss Jesse.
So now we have Preacher. Angels are the best ones we ever could get. Schenck family, Eugene (especially him) and his family, Cowboy storyline, Odin and his company, Whorehouse, etc. Just every character and every side story line of the show is interesting in some way. And it only gets better with each episode.
Show of hands—who here wouldn’t mind seeing drawings of Fiore and (mostly) DeBlanc holding the coffee can like it’s a baby, arguing like a married couple, and just kind of failing at being surrogate parents to Genesis?
