Can we talk about how talented Nina Dobrev is for a second?

I mean, over the course of six seasons of a show, she played four different people, and it was honestly believable. She was Elena, she was Katherine, she was Tatia and she was Amara, and they were all different. She played three people in one scene on several occasions and not once did we doubt they were different. In fact, for me, it was almost as if there were four separate actresses playing those four characters, Nina was that convincing. She portrayed them all, in my opinion, perfectly. She made them all feel real. Elena was brave and kind (and, yes, whiny) and overall delightful. Katherine was cunning and selfish and, let’s be real, a complex and impressive character. Tatia and Amara, while not featured nearly as much, were still very obviously different characters with their own complexities and lives, not just extensions of Elena and Katherine, which, wow, ok? Not a lot of actors could nail that. And it can’t just be me that finds that massively impressive.

A round of applause for Nina Dobrev.
