Today I got to shoot with my Pentax 645 for the first time. I still don’t really know what I’m doing - but I am so excited to see the images and I can’t wait to shoot a little bit with it at a wedding this saturday!

If you work hard (and also aren’t afraid of semi-impulse purchases), you’ll be amazed at how fast you can get the gear you want/need to go further with your art :)

Long live film.

Yesterday was a dream. A little glimpse into the life I want someday, or rather, the life I am working towards daily. My heart is so full and so grateful - for a dear friend to photograph, for Tennessee farmland that looks more like England or Ireland, for a big ball of fluff named Sarah who stole my heart, and for heart-to-hearts in the car with Etta James playing in the background.

Je suis contente.

To the kind followers who have been asking for photography advice recently - I will writing a short little post soon with a few tips and random things I’ve learned and gear suggestions. I get questions like that pretty frequently, so it’s about time!

Meanwhile - practice, practice, practice. And only shoot what you love, not what you think other people will pay for, or what you think you should shoot just because that’s what other photographers do.

Time to knock this wedding out of the park and ship it off tomorrow! Cannot tell you how excited I am to be done with this wedding and able to move on to 5+ other fantastic sessions I’ve got to edit. SO MUCH GOODNESS.

Also. I got a new film camera. I think it’s better than my digital, and that’s totally fine with me :)
