pick one new thing with your personal style you’ve been meaning to try but haven’t, and give it a whirl.
I’m planning a relatively dramatic haircut and color change for spring!

As someone who is also 25 and bored by Midwestern life, my only answer so far is suffer. This is not helpful, I realize, but I feel you. (I do like to restaurant hop in St. Louis sometimes for something new, though.)
lol there’s also this part of it. Grad school is a slow moving and oft-torturous process, especially now that I’m out of classes and onto my dissertation, so I’m trying to get better at just working on something whenever I find myself hitting that point of extreme, soul-sucking boredom.
Also my town is full of mostly mediocre restaurants but what I should really do is try new bars. I used to live in a town with a fantastic food scene, though, and checking out new restaurants was one of my main thrills.

Go get a fun piercing. Like 60 bucks at a reputable sho
hmm I have thought about this as well, especially in regards to whether or not that’s something that would be the kind of change in my personal style that would excite me or not, but I’m planning on skipping out on any piercings and instead going for tattoos. I think they’re going to serve some of the same purposes, though!
