Looking up the Altimont Hill in Spokane, Washington, one can see that it might be treacherous in foul weather…and it is. There aren’t many actual accidents here though, people in Spokane respect it’s nature and drive accordingly, or avoid it altogether. The worst ‘bad’ spot is just above here, where the curve softens and the incline almost levels off, plus the visibility is excellent, that there is a home on the right side that gets remodeled every few years by various auto insurance companies. New fence, front porch, even a whole living room. With each slide out they improve their standard of living just a wee bit.

BTW; this used to be a city bus route. It was a hoot riding that bus in the winter.
