On March 15, 1917 at a railroad in the city of Pskov in western Russia, in the Imperial train, Russian Tsar Nicholas II signed his abdication in favor of his son with Grand Duke Mikhail acting as regent, and decided to abdicate in favor of his brother. “As We do not wish to part from Our beloved son, We transmit the succession to Our brother, the Grand Duke Michael Alexandrovich, and give Him Our blessing to mount the Throne of the Russian Empire.”

“In the morning Ruzski came and read his very long direct-wire talk with Rodzianko. According to this, the situation in Petrograd is such that a Ministry of the Duma would now be powerless to do anything, for it has to contend with the Social-Democratic Party, represented by the workers’ committee. My abdication is required. Ruzski transmitted this talk to Headquarters, and Alexeev sent it on to all the commanders-in-chief. By 2 o'clock replies were received from them. The gist of them is that in order to save Russia and keep the army at the front quiet, such a step must be taken. I have agreed. From Headquarters has been sent a draft of a manifesto. In the evening Guchkov and Shulgin arrived from Petrograd, with whom I discussed the matter, and I handed them the signed and altered manifesto. At 1 o'clock in the morning [16th] I left Pskov, with a heavy heart because of the things gone through. All around me there is betrayal, cowardice, and deceit.” - diary of Nicholas II, March 15, Thursday.

In the wake of the February Revolution, his brother Mikhail Alexandrovich chose to decline the throne unless it was offered him by a popularly elected constituent assembly. In the absence of such a circumstance he offered full support to the Provisional Government. Mikhail’s moderation did not endear him to the Bolsheviks however, he was imprisoned and murdered in June 1918. Nicholas and his family were executed on the night of 16/17 July 1918.

Online Plus Size Shopping Guide for Super Cute Clothes

Notes: Everything contained herein is based on my own personal shopping experiences, so YMMV. No one retailer is perfect for plus size shopping, and not everyone’s taste aligns with mine, so please bear this in mind. Right now, I am about a US size 16/18 or XL/2X depending on the retailer, but I have bought online up to about a US 20. I have very chubby arms, but my bust and waist are a lot smaller than my hips, so I tend to have some trouble finding things that fit all over. Most retailers usually have a plus cut, so there shouldn’t be a lot of discrepancy from my experiences for sizes above US 22. I know this will not be all-inclusive, so please feel free to add on whatever you think is helpful, because I know so many plus size shoppers really, really struggle, so share your experiences and advice.

Notes pt 2: I don’t really shop at B&M plus size retailers (like Lane Bryant, Torrid, Catherine’s, etc.) but I did work at Avenue for a while, so I will just leave those retailers out. Again, if you have a lot of experience with a particular plus size B&M retailer, join in the conversation and add whatever you can that will help people shopping online or in-store. The same goes for department stores, I do not ever shop in department stores, so I have no experiences to add there.

Notes pt 3: If you are shopping exclusively online, please try to get measurements so that you can compare that to size charts. Remember, there is no standardization in sizing, and every company sizes a little differently, so size charts are your friend. Plus, if you really fall in love with an item, you could tell from the size chart if it could be altered to fit if you bought a size up or something. (I know this is not an option for everyone, but it does at least give the option for some.)

Notes pt 4: I won’t link to my Ebates account because I am not trying to make money off of anyone, but if you don’t have it, SIGN UP NOW. It is so easy to use, and you get money back for shopping. I’ll note below which of these stores offers Ebates rewards.

My go-tos:

-ModCloth. They offer sizes up to 4x, but their house brand tends to be cut about a size larger. They have a decent size chart that allows you to compare your own measurements. They also have a customer service live chat, and if you tell them what item you’re looking at, they can almost always get measurements for it so you can compare. (I have done this several times, and it absolutely makes the shopping process a lot easier.) There are lots of reviews and outfit photos from other shoppers, which also really helps if you’re on the fence about something. They offer a lot of different styles, leaning toward kitschy/cutesty/retro/vintage-inspired offerings. Shipping is moderate, it usually takes about 10 days if you choose the free shipping option (if you qualify.) BEST FOR: Unique dresses and a-line skirts. PRICE RANGE: moderate, but quality is usually good. Most items will be between $40-$75, but it varies; items in the sale section can be anywhere from about 30% to 60% off, so you can get some GREAT deals in the sale section. SIZE RANGE: XS-4X. Does not offer Ebates rewards.

-eShakti. CUSTOM SIZING. Let me repeat: they do custom sizing for their pieces. Plus, if you don’t like the sleeves, neckline, embroidery, pockets (you heathen!), etc, you can alter. They have casual and special occasion dresses and separates, all of which you can custom size. I can’t emphasize this enough. If you’re looking for something for a special event, or if you’re like me and a different size on top and bottom, this is your best friend. They do charge a fee for customization, but it is worth it since it’s cheaper than alteration. Sign up for their email list, they often do some good sales where you can get a good deal. There’s a special discount for shopping on mobile, too. They do offer free returns as well. NOTE: dresses are made as they are ordered, so if you need it for a certain event or date, order as early as you can, as it can take about 15 days to receive your items. BEST FOR: workwear, special occasion dresses, jersey dresses for every day. PRICE RAGE: the higher end of moderate, but the dresses are custom made when you order and the quality is outstanding. Without a discount code, an uncustomized dress is about $45-$70. SIZE RANGE: 0 to 36W. Yes, you read that right. And you can customize ANY size. Does not offer Ebates rewards. I know a lot of the stuff Target sells online in its plus section is bullshit, but for basics, you can’t go wrong. The prices are good, and the quality of the Merona t-shirts and cardigans is excellent for what you’re paying. The Who What Wear line is a lot more fashionable and great to wear to work, but be aware that everything runs about a size smaller. I do not care for the Ava and Viv line, and I think I have only ever bought one pair of shorts from that line, which I promptly returned. If you like Ava and Viv good on you, it just doesn’t do it for me. You can return in-store if you buy something online, and if you have the Target RedCard, you get 5% off and free shipping on items from the website. It generally takes about 5-7 business days for a package to come to me. BEST FOR: basics like cardigans and t-shirts; Who What Wear for work, but pay close attention to sizing. PRICE RANGE: low, especially if you pay close attention to sales and use the RedCard discount. Most items average between $10 and $30 USD. SIZE RANGE: sizing for Ava and Viv and Merona plus is X-4X (translating, according to the website, to roughly 14W to 30W.) Sizing for Who What Wear is X-4X (where an X is probably about a straight-size 12/14, 1X is about 14W, and going up from there. All items I have from WWW are sized smaller than the rest of the plus clothing at Target.) Does offer Ebates rewards. *IMPORTANT EDIT: I just read that the Victoria Beckham line for Target will go up to size 3x, but odds are that the sizing will be more in line with WWW rather than Ava and Viv.*

-BooHoo. BooHoo is an online retailer based in the UK, so make sure that you choose USD from the drop down at the top of the page, because when you do, it also converts the sizing. They offer some workwear, but most of their stuff trends toward casual or clubwear. If you want something on the sexier side, BooHoo has you covered. In my mind they’re kind the UK answer to Forever 21, but I think most of their stuff is cuter. Be careful, though, because sometimes the quality isn’t quite what you’d expect. That said, they do a TON of good sales, it is quite easy to get many things from their site for not a lot of money. Like F21, they too have cute, cheap, trendy accessories as well. Even coming from overseas, they ship very fast, and I haven’t ever waited too long for a package from them. BEST FOR: trendy pieces, experimenting with your look, clothes for going out and partying down. PRICE RANGE: comparable to Forever 21, so pretty low, with some nicer items going into moderate, but they do offer a lot of codes. SIZE RANGE: US 12-24. (The dresses I have bought from there seem pretty true to size, but I have not bought any bottoms, so I can’t speak to their pants sizing.) Does offer Ebates rewards.

-ASOS. To me, ASOS is BooHoo’s grown up, more chic older sister. They have an amazing variety, from workwear to club wear to casual to formal. If your style is more eclectic or punky, you will definitely find something you like here, but even if you trend super feminine, you will not be at a loss. They also have a MEN’S PLUS SIZE section, which I only recently discovered. I have not bought anything from this portion of the site, but even knowing that it exists is helpful, and it looks like they offer staples, work wear, and more trendy pieces there as well. Their accessories/shoes/beauty sections are off the hook too, seriously; their accessories are amazing. They also have basics (like leggings or tshirts) in multi-packs, so you can save even more and stock up. Sizing can be hit or miss, since they carry a lot of different brands (including some BooHoo items!!) but most items I have bought have been true to the size chart that they provide. They do offer good codes from time to time. Items ship from the UK, and it takes about 1.5 to 2 weeks to reach the West Coast of the US. BEST FOR: a wide variety to choose from, pretty dresses, fashionable casual wear. PRICE RANGE: moderate to high, depending on the item and the occasion. They have good codes sometimes, and a great sale section. Items can range anywhere from $20 to $200. SIZE RANGE: for Women’s Curve & Plus it’s 14-26, but sizing can vary between brands. For Men’s Plus Size, it is XL-XXXL (they offer measurements on the site, so you can convert. I know jack all about men’s sizing, so I can’t really speak to how helpful this is, but if someone knows more, please let me know.) Does offer Ebates rewards.

Love/hate category (AKA I don’t often shop there, but if I see something I like I will buy it):

-Forever 21. We all know this one, and probably a lot of us hate it a little bit too. I have some awesome things from F21 that I really enjoy, but I have gotten some stuff from there that I straight up hate. Also, their Plus section is ridiculously priced compared to the rest of the site. Like if you advertise $2 camis, make the fucking Plus ones $2 too. They do make some cute stuff, and if you’re familiar with how their sizing works, you can probably get pretty lucky and score some cute things. With how popular the website is, you do have to pull the trigger pretty quickly, or you might miss out. A lot of cute stuff goes out of stock and never comes back. Of course, there’s also the accessories and the beauty sections, so you can find cute stuff to pile into your cart to meet the free shipping minimum. You can return in store if you buy online, but for me at least, going into a Forever 21 store is a very trying experience in every single way. Sometimes the sizing is way off, so read reviews if you can; I find that the sizing is especially weird for the “deals” items that tend to be very inexpensive. Also, the non-stretchy tops just aren’t made for fat arms. PRICE RANGE: low to moderate. Items are anywhere from about $10 to $40. BEST FOR: dresses and skirts, shirts with lots of words on them. SIZE RANGE: 1X-4X. Does offer Ebates rewards.

-Simply Be. They have some cute shit, but I don’t often find things there that I need. They have a lot of casual and workwear, and some pretty dresses. I have found that the sizing is pretty good, but always check the size chart as this is another UK brand. They really push their store credit card, which does have some rewards, but also a super high APR. (They took a line out of the Avenue/Torrid/Lane Bryant/Catherine’s book by trying to create customer loyalty with the card. I won’t get into a rant here, but unless you plan on shopping ONLY at that one store, then don’t get the card.) PRICE RANGE: moderate to high. Items are in the $40 to $100 range. BEST FOR: I can’t really say since I haven’t shopped here a ton. SIZE RANGE: 6 to 28. Does offer Ebates rewards.

-Eloquii. They make beautiful clothes, but every time I work up the nerve to buy something, it is sold out. They’re like a cooler, more fashion-forward version of Lane Bryant in my mind. They do a lot of really gorgeous workwear, but some more casual pieces as well. They’re known for their Kady cigarette pants, which they offer in a variety of colors and patterns. In my opinion, they’re a lot more daring with their cuts than a lot of other plus retailers, and now they offer Plus Petite and Viola Fit (which is for bodies like mine that are smaller on top with wider hips.)Their prices are high, but they offer a lot of different sales and they usually have a pretty good sale section as well. PRICE RANGE: moderate to high, depending on if there is a sale. BEST FOR: workwear, vibrant colors, pretty dresses that are unique. SIZE RANGE: 14-28 in Original, Petite, and Viola. Does offer Ebates rewards.

I'm glad y'all's DID "week in the life" posts talk about the nursing program and stuff because we need more representation of systems going to college and work and stuff. It can get kinda hopeless that we'll never get to a place where we can hold down a job or go back to school.

Thank you! Don’t be disheartened it’s all very possible! In the past I’ve:
Gone through all levels of school and higher education with good grades, received a bachelors degree in Classical Civilisations, started a Nursing Course, worked in a cafe, been an event waitress, been a chef’s assistant, been a carer, been a nursing assistant in hospital, run half marathons my alters have signed up for and not told me about until the last minute on 3 weeks training (that was fun 😳), and I hope to be a nurse eventually.

I think with DID people tend to dichotomise into two groups of “I’m very functional and my symptoms aren’t troubling me, I have good communication so I can work and study” and “I’m very unwell and not functioning so I can never work or study”

For some people out there who have decided their path is not to work or study because it causes them more negatives than positives and wouldn’t get anything out of it apart from stress, there’s no shame in living in whatever way they see fit.

But, if (like me) you want to study and work because you have a passion for things you need to do that to contribute to, or your self worth rests quite firmly in your ability to do those things, please please don’t be deterred by the stigmatising lie that mental illness automatically means you can’t join in with the rest.

I’m not one of the first type of people (if they exist). I do not work and study because these things come easily to me, and I am in some way more skilled in controlling my disorder than others, I’m really not. It takes a great deal of hard work everyday to keep myself moving in the way I do. Even if my communication is good at some times, times of stress or trauma can send me reeling and it’s very much an hour by hour war to stay on path with my chosen goals. I too, sometimes think “do I even have any business trying to do all of this if I’m this unwell?”.

The main things I want to achieve by showing a week in my life, is to show people without DID that people with it can take on everything they can despite a lot of difficulty, and to show people with DID that yes, it is totally possible to take on what you want from life with this disorder. It’s not a matter of doing everything you dreamed totally unaided: I’ve had to go through support services and occupational health, therapy etc to get myself through week to week. But if you’re willing to try and you’re honest with people who can support you then I see no reason you can’t get to where you want to be.

Side Note: I specifically showed a week where I knew I was busy (exams, occ health, placement etc) rather than to show a week of holiday. I worry people read things like this to hear about wacky things they imagine people with DID do, and to satiate a dark interest, hoping to hear a lot about trauma and this *mad* specimen self harming, flashbacking and panicking their way through the day. Now I’ve done this week, and I’m happy I’ve shown that I’m functional etc, I’ve been thinking of doing a week in June of annual leave to show more how the system acts during free time. But be aware that to those people it will be horrendously boring as people with DID only do as many Wacky things per day as a normal collection of adults or children, and while the dark times come I’m hardly likely to go into extreme detail on trauma, and destructive behaviour is usually coupled with supportive parts coming out and making things better. Apologies to those who will be disappointed for the lack of drama!

KARMA & Astrology. Part 1: 0 degrees Aries

Draconic astrology sets the North Node to 0 degrees Aries. This method supposedly removes karma from the natal chart, showing an uninfluenced chart of an individual’s soul. Planetary aspects remain the same, house and sign placement alter accordingly.

What’s interesting and lacking in draconic literature is the role of the South Node and it’s implications. Is 0 degree Libra a highly karmic point? Or perhaps it’s 29 degree Pisces that shows contrastingly high levels of karma.

I tend to turn to Sabian symbols when contemplating degrees. But point 0 ought to be defined by more than it’s Sabian imagery. However, I will delve into it in later parts. Astrology University has an online article on the first (0) and last (29) degrees of a sign. Below I have quoted a small description of the initial entry into a sign:

“In the natal chart, planets or points at 0° of a sign take a stance that either indulges in or embraces the very pure, undiluted nature of the sign. There’s a fresh, unstudied quality to a planet at this degree.”

Perhaps applying this to “draconic astrology theory,” as I have just coined the term, we can make an assumption that the North Node at 0 degree Aries denotes an eagerness to live, exist, be, and do. Aries is initial, but the degree of 0 is not yet beginning. There is a freshness, a sense of easing into the feel of Arian purpose. By 1 degree, some astrologers suggest the planet/point is beginning its purpose, beginning the operation that it will progress towards with every passing degree.

What comes before purpose and operation? Contemplation, planning. The effects of observation and learning. 0 degree Aries is a discovery of self. Who am I? What can I do? Eventually, what will I do?

anonymous asked:

Can one alter have ADHD or would the whole body have it??

Full blown ADHD is on the same level as autism, so while it’s possible for one alter to have signs/symptoms of one of these disorders, they can’t have the full thing by themselves without the body having it. Conversely, if the whole body has ADHD or autism, then alters may have differing symptoms and severity of these conditions.

So again to clarify-

One alter can “appear” to have ADHD, but if it’s real ADHD and not just the appearance of symptoms, then all alters will have it to some extent.

On January 1, 1976, the iconic “HOLLYWOOD” sign was altered to read “Hollyweed” by the late Danny Finegood of Los Angeles and a few of his college friends. The stunt — celebrating the decriminalisation of marijuana in California — got worldwide publicity at the time.

To accomplish the stunt, Finegood and his buds used ropes and sheets, and reportedly spent only around 50 bucks for the materials. The prank was a class project while he was an art major at Cal State Northridge. (Yes, he got an “A” for the project.)

Finegood considered himself an environmental artist, not a vandal. In a letter to the L.A. Times in 1983, he said of the “Hollyweed” sign: “An artist’s role throughout history has been to create representations of the culture he exists in. By hanging four relatively small pieces of fabric on the landmark, we were able to change people’s perception of the Hollywood sign.”

Writer David Batterson was so knocked out by the event that he wrote lyrics to a song and his friend, former radio DJ and musician Mark Giles, a resident of Santa Barbara, wrote the music. They called the song, you guessed it, “Hollyweed, USA.”

Daphne, Rose, Pixi, and Sparky

I don’t think we really explained who some of these people are. On this blog anyway, I’m sure we’ve written about it elsewhere. Here’s a quick rundown tho.

Daphne is my friend, an introject of one of my abusers. She split from me back in 2015 at a time after a pretty rough couple of months after losing our therapist and a whole bunch of other stuff going down. There was something that majorly triggered us at the time, and then we started having flashbacks, and, yeah. So, she’s been here a while now.

Death Drive (DD Rose), has been around in one form or another for quite some time, but has been in the shadows a bit. Responsible for some intrusive thoughts that started back in high school. He’s now out a lot more since September or so of last year. He’s a jack of all trades, get it done type of dude. Though not to confuse things too much, he’s a girl.

Pixi came about after the abuse stopped, but was dormant for a time, and only came back to the forefront recently when she felt she was needed (and or otherwise, found an opportunity to become more involved with things). She’s another split from me.

Me, well, I’m Sparky, A.K.A. Little G. Generally speaking, we’re one in the same, I’m just a little older. There’s a lot of, stuff, that happened to get me here as I am now, but I won’t get into it. You probably know me, if you know us at all. I’ve basically been the Host for the past two years or so.

For the dribble thing: salem

this wasn’t easy but it helped that i am in pain from other things

The documents were signed in a locked room, with one witness to verify its claim. Queen Elsa’s personal seal accompanied the curlicue script, and with barely a thought, the document was taken and placed inside a nondescript folder. Nothing, save for what it contained, marked it out as any different.

“Is this the route you’re positive you want to take, Your Majesty?” Kai, her right hand, asked.

She hesitated only a moment before she nodded. “It is,” she replied. “This is the only way to ensure Arendelle’s future.”

With that declaration, the only other person in the room – an aging woman, with hair whiter than even Elsa and crows feet around her eyes – gave a stiff bow.

“Please, Your Majesty. Follow me.”

Elsa swept from the room, Kai only several steps behind her. He knew how much thought she’d put into this plan. He knew how many laws she’d begun changing – minor alterations that her cabinet signed off on without a care. Ones that left the old laws still valid under special circumstances, despite the changes after the creation of their constitution.

She’d wanted this for so long, he also knew, even if she never spoke of it. If to her, any mention was followed by, ‘for the good of the people’. It would be good for her, too, he thought.

The woman pulled stopped in front of a large, wooden door. The brass handle was rusted and dull, the paint chipping from the wood, leaving a little mess below it. There were sounds coming from inside; screams and tears, and Elsa lifted her head a little because this was a moment she couldn’t cower from. Heart clenching, she twisted the handle and opened the door.

Children. Dozens of children, running about in a dangerous game of tag. They didn’t notice, or simply ignored, the intrusion, so bent on their game. There were no adults around, though that was hardly a surprise. The cacophony only ended after the matron stepped forward and rang a large bell, which echoed through the room.

Slowly, the children moved away, lining up neatly at the end of their beds. All, save for one. A little girl, perhaps only five years old, with bright red hair, stood shivering in the middle of the room. In one hand, she held a doll, and in another, its head. Elsa’s heart lurched again. She was crying.

She must have been the girl that everyone was chasing.

Elsa should have waited for the matron. She was going to be introduced to the children, one by one. But she couldn’t; instead, she took long, purposeful strides into the room, only slowing down as she neared the girl. She heard the old woman call out to her, “Queen Elsa!” echoing through the room. The children murmured amongst themselves, but Elsa ignored all of them save for the little freckled child in front of her.

Crouching down in front of her, Elsa smiled. “Hi there,” she murmured softly. “I’m Elsa. What’s your name?”

The girl sniffled. She wiped her nose with the back of her hand, which only caused some stuffing to dislodge from her doll. “’M Anna…” she mumbled. Elsa nodded.

“Was everyone being mean to you, Anna?” she asked, voice still soft. It was Anna’s turn to nod, and she moved to wipe her face again.

“Call me a witch,” she said. “Said ‘m never gonna find a-a fam’ly coz no one w-wants a witch…” Her voice broke on the final word and she began sobbing in earnest. Elsa heard someone sniggering behind her, but for the moment, she ignored it.

Instead, she reached forward and gently took Anna’s doll from her. With practised precision, she carved a thin piece of ice, barely an inch long and no thicker than an embroidery needle. She heard Anna’s sobs subside, but she didn’t lose focus as, with barely a tremor in her fingers, she sewed the doll back together.

“…How’d you do that?” Anna asked, eyes wide and voice full of wonder. Elsa leaned forward, handing the doll back as she whispered in Anna’s ear.

“What if I told you that I’m a witch?” she asked with a grin. “Would you like to be part of my family?”

Anna just stared for a moment. “But you’re the queen. You can’t be a witch.”

Elsa just smiled. “And you’re a lovely little girl. Princess, if you want. And I say you’re not a witch.”

This time, when Anna began crying, it wasn’t from pain or sadness. Elsa felt little arms wrap around her, and she returned the gesture, holding Anna close.

“Really?” Anna asked, voice barely louder than a whisper. Her tears had coated Elsa’s shoulder, warm and wet, and perhaps by instinct, Elsa found herself reaching up to stroke Anna’s hair.

Intercepted signs

Interceptions in a birth horoscope are signs that rule no house cusps in birth chart.  Visually an intercepted sign is shown contained within a house and is isolated away from ruling the next house in the chronological order zodiac signs exist around the wheel.  What the interception does is present struggles for the sign ruling no house cusp as a way to express itself and rule over an area of life. An intercepted sign shows energies that were not exposed to a person, absorbed in the youth or taught to be expressed which leads to the suppression of those energies.

Often an intercepted sign goes unaware to a person until they reach maturity and realize there is an imbalance in their life that was missing.  A planet that is intercepted in that sign can have difficulties pushing its power out into the world. This comes from issues of having the intercepted signs energy being suppressed.  This in turn leads to difficulties giving the intercepted planet a natural base of expression outward.

A sign or planet that is intercepted is not doomed to also be “missing from the person’s life forever.  Secondary chart progressions can naturally move the planet out of the intercepted house toward another house.  This helps the planet that was suppressed prior to put its energy gets put out into a new area of life where no interception is present.  A transit planet to the natal suppressed intercepted planet can also "wake up” the suppressed planet and make the person come to realize the planets energy was missing.  At this time they can consciously work the planet’s energy outward moving forward.

Naturally interceptions occur in pairs so when one sign is intercepted the opposite sign (often referred to as a sister sign) is intercepted as well. This means both signs energies are suppressed and give the person difficulties having balance in their personality as a perfect chart should. In a perfect ideal chart every single house is controlled and ruled by a single zodiac chart making the flow correct and all of the energies come out well.  This is usually indicative of a balanced upbringing that taught the person how to properly utilize all of the zodiac signs energy in a certain area of life.

An interception ends up altering the flow of signs ruling houses which alters critical parts of the personality and behavior (seen through the ascendant.)
The 4th and 10th houses of the birth chart are the most impacted by interceptions. This is because the interception will change the natural 4th house sign ruler of any ascendant.  It’s best to think of it like “breaking a chain” where every ascendant has a normal 4th house ruler that attributes to the ascendant making the person behave naturally as it is portrayed.

The 4th house naturally rules the early life, the family upbringing and tradition. A change in the flow of the sign ruling the 4th house due to an interception changes the conditions someone faces growing up.  The different circumstances faced during childhood development attribute to the ascendant (behavior, expression, attitude) coming across in an altered way.  The basic psychological of a person is altered because of the way they experienced the world.  This causes some parts of the behavior to change but not all (since every sign ruling a house cusp adds to the pieces of how someone ultimately behaves seen through the ascendant.)

When the 4th house and early life is modified by an interception it also ends up impacting the 10th house (or midheaven) because the 4th and 10th houses work in tandem.  The 10th house shows the ways in which a person wants to become widely known in the world and is based on the opposite nature of their upbringing.  When the 4th house becomes altered with a different ruling sign and the flow is changed for an ascendant the way the person wants to become known in the world changes.  This can mean the career or reputation the person pursues will be different than what a typical ascendant with even house structure would work towards later in life.
